Here you will see all the opinions of real people like you who are buying the services of The Twisted Apron (Restaurant) in Windsor (Canada).
At the present the business has a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an reviews average is quite good, and it is founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can say that the valuation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Restaurant.
Went to this place twice. First time I was impressed with the food but our waitress gave the worst service I've ever received. It was so bad that another waitress had to help us and I couldn't get a second cup of coffee before we were done our breakfast. Food is good here but prepare for terrible service. Second time they forgot about us and crossed our name off the list and people after us were seated. This place needs better management.
I have only been there for bruch. The food and service have been good so far.
The poutine was excellent!
Great food and fun staff.
Have been here for socials many times. Great atmosphere and great appetizers. Fairly robust drink selection. Epicentre at the UofW likes to host our social events here, and I can see why. The side room is perfect for smaller gatherings.
Great food. Food had a homade taste for sure. Service was great and very friendly.will definitely recommend this place to friends and return in the future
Loved the vibes. Food was great.
Good place for a quick bite and reasonably priced.
Great sevice! Great food!
Very pleasant atmosphere and very nice employees
Food is always great and the service is beyond amazing!
Always a delicious expensive meal.
Food was okay. Fish was overcooked fries were alright. Messed up the bill and waiting for the food was painful.
Fantastic my food was delicious, service was fast.
Good brunch. Love the bourbon hot chocolate!
Very good service. Went in for dessert and drinks. Deliciousand thirst quenching!!
Good dessert, but service was a little lacking and inflexible
Fabulous!!! The food was mouth watering and there was so much food. The lemon tart was delicious. Our waitress was a gem. Very sweet and attentative. Always love eating here
Great place to stop very different very different items on the menu truly a wonderful experience
I love this place. Every time I'm in Windsor I go for a meal. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious.
Loved the atmosphere. Excellent food. Great service. Good choice for date night.
Original and unique food creations. Fantastic friendly staff.
Food here is delicious, nutritious and so satisfying. Love, love.
Amazing, everytime. I'm not a vegetarian by any sort but if you have the chance order the mean Green brunch with crispy tofu. It's now my favorite dish from this establishment
Amazing place. The menu is unique and the food is delicious. The veggie burger is vegan (why aren't they always?) and it's one of the best I've tasted.
The breakfast is really good, however dinner items are a bit pricey and are not big portions.
Best restaurant Windsor has to offer. Amazing food, made in-store and you know it's healthy. Has all kinds of options for every food type. Best place for breakfast and lunch and dinner. Most of the waitresses/waiters are great and service is always exceptional. Different food ideas that you won't taste anywhere else. Truly an original. Only downside is when they switch menus and get rid of your favorite....
Great friendly staff. Food is always on point and delicious. Always something new too. Love it
Our favorite place to take friends or family visiting from out of town. Cute, friendly, good food, and reasonable prices
Excellent breakfast
First time coming to this restaurant, I had a good experience for sure. Food and prices were decent, service was friendly and quick. The restaurant was busy as well when I went for breakfast. A nice spot in Walkerville indeed.
Great food, nice local place to have lunch or dinner, but prepare for up to an hours wait some days
Not the best food. And it's expensive. Waitress barley checked on us.
Deep fried cheese curds
Excellent Service, Clean,The Food and Drinks were fantastic
Amazing. Just finished lunch there and there's not one thing bad about the place. Bathrooms were spotless, good was delicious and hot. The variety was so vast. And our server was wonderful. I'll definitely be back.
A local gem. I absolutely love this place for breakfast and lunch. Everytime I go I have to get a bowl of their delicious home made soup! Service is attentive and pleasant as well.
Had another great meal here. Tried the breakfast Benny poutine which was a great combo together.
Had “Go Leafs Go” written on their daily specials outside but they don’t actually have any TV services at all - no cable or satellite on their bar TV. I was disappointed and the waitress said she would “try to find it”, didn’t check for 10 minutes and I missed the first period and a half of a playoff game. They also charged $4.50 to substitute cheddar cheese for goat cheese on their grilled cheese. Not an add on, just instead of, as I dislike goat cheese. This is a grilled cheese that was already $13. It came with nothing so I added coleslaw for $3. So I paid $20.50 plus tax and tip for a grilled cheese sandwich. That’s gotta be some kind of record.
My favourite place to go for breakfast/brunch due to location, food and service. Pear mimosa is my favourite and I’m a sucker for a good eggs benny. Also important to add, I’m 100% confident in saying they’ve got the best burger (the twisted burger) in the city! I don’t order it often as I’m usually there early but when I do, I’m always raving about it for days after!
Wow! Never had such a good quinoa salad! Fresh and delicious!
My clearly pregnant girlfriend and I decided to dine in. Food was cold, Terrible, over priced and gross. Waited for over an hour to get our food. Decided to get it to go instead. Our neighbouring table served two different guests by the time we got our food. We were not a priority. Lesson learned, don’t pay for your food in advance or you will be waiting like is. Very disappointed.
Real good food
Great food and friendly service.
Absolutely wonderful food experience every time! A must visit for anyone from the area or coming to the area.
The Twisted Apron is a great spot! Nice layout and design. I love that they serve Booch kombucha on tap! The food was delicious. The Twisted Burger is a keeper. Tomato cabbage soup of the day was great. The bowl of cucumbers is a healthy side that comes with the meals, that surprised us! The flight of beers was a nice option at a good price!
Very good restaurant. The flavor of the food is outstanding. The wait staff very helpful and efficient. The atmosphere and decor was what I would expect. Nice, pleasant and visually appealing. I highly recommend a visit.I went to this place last night with my family after our trip to the Butterfly Museum in Niagara on the Lake.
Great food
Windsor breakfast list: The Twisted Apron. Holy the apple fritter French toast she got was by far the best French toast of our list. Wow. Highly recommended checking them Out when they have this as there special. That veggie omelette was on point, the coffee was Good, The food was amazing, staff even better.
A couple of friends and I went to Twisted Apron for brunch today. We had heard really good things about this place and were really excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. We were told there would be a 25 minute wait until we could get a table. An HOUR AND A HALF later, we were finally seated. It seemed as if the staff had missed us on the waitlist and left us sitting there. We had ample time to look over the menu, so we were ready to order when we sat down. When our server came over, she was extremely rude and told us we could only order drinks at the moment because she had other people waiting. She continued to be abrasive throughout the meal, even making my friend feel like she was imposing by informing the server about an anaphylactic nut allergy. The food was delicious once it finally came, but I'm not sure if it was worth the wait and rudeness of the staff!!
Great Place! Try it.
Been here a few times for both Sunday brunch and weekday dinner, and always super happy with the food and experience. Unique dishes, but not too far out there, and always delicious. Throw in reasonable prices and great service, and its one of my favorites. Definitely recommended!
My sister and I went here for lunch and I had the mexi burger made vegan with a side salad and wine and it was all lovely. She had the better mac with truffle fries and mimosa and we both cleared our plates. We had Noella as our server and she made sure to check up on us and also pointed out the vegan options to me which I really appreciated. I've eaten here quite a lot and it's always lovely food and a lovely experience.
Mice place to have a beer.
Always great food and something new to try
Great brunch place!
Fantastic eggs benidict with salmon. Breakfast all day. Enjoy the goat cheese salad and specialty drinks
Friendly staff and the food was perfectly cooked. The food we did not order looked amazing.
You can always count on a delicious, yet unique meal. They don't do your basic boring stuff. Service is always great as well. Only down side is street parking, but there's usually lots on the side streets off of Wyandotte.
Chicken a little overdone. There is a wait often longer than told but that's the way things are. Be prepared to wait
Really good food. Awesome breakfast options
Unbelievably incredible food. Came here on a recommendation from a friend. Couldn't be more pleased! Will definitely come back every time I come to Windsor!
Great for brunch / lunch. Eggs Benedict are recommended. Don't expect the best service, but it is passable.
Expensive but good service n food
Excellent and fresh food! And the service is outstanding!
Always try to stop in everytime I am in town. Always enjoy the eggs benny with smoked salmon. Their is definitely high quality food and service here. Very quinte and lovely restaurant with charming service. Pricing is very reasonable for the product. Lovely spot in Walkerville. Gordie Howe even made a pit stop here.
The service was fantastic, the waitress was very sweet and our food was really good :) i recommend trying the mac n cheese its really good ????
The Twisted Apron is one of my favourite restaurants in Windsor. It's super cute decor along with a very creative menu make it a must visit place. I've always received good service too.
Good food and service. The peanut butter pie in a jar was pretty awesome!
Back at my favorite place for brunch :)
Great food. Wonderful selection. Coffee always hot. Highly recommend.
Good service. Good food. Right in walkerville.
The Twisted Apron was Fantastic!!! Pumpkin waffles n French onion soup...so Delicious!!!???????????????????? and their staff are So Welcoming!!! Thanks for a Special lunch????????????????????????
Great hip place to eat. Little pricey.
Loved the breakfast poutine!
Service was slow for a weekday and place was half empty. Ordered chicken and avocado sandwich to go. Came home and saw that there were no avocado or other vegetables in it... Rip off. Regret giving a tip.
No flavor. Burger was terrible.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was excellent!
Meal type
My fav breakfast stop in Windsor. They have a variety of options and they’re great for kids too. They don’t have fresh juice but they do have cute bottles.
Always delicious food, fun drinks, and awesome desserts!
Great food, great service, amazing menu with lots of unique choices.
Located in the historic and yet hipster area of walkerville. Breakfast is unreal and the dinner options are just as good. great tap list for beer lover and fair prices.
Fantastic food and service.
What a great resturant in an outstanding location. Their service is second to none, great daily specials and a unique menu. One of Windsor's best for sure.
Best place for breakfast for sure!
Great atmosphere, prompt and friendly service, delicious food with awesome options.
Really warm atmosphere, lovely staff, and beautifully decorated restaurant. If you need your breakfast needs fufilled this is the place.
I was pretty disappointed. I was coming from out of town, told my partner about it and was super excited because I had such good memories. However - we had a dirty dish , the waitress didn’t really apologize when we called that out and then later noticed another dirty dish … I enjoyed my meal well enough but her meal had too much sauce and so the huevos eggs Benny she ordered was a bit soggy and had way too much tomato sauce. Also the home fries / hashbrowbsbwere undercooked. I really previously loved the restaurant and hope there is improvement in the future.
Service wasn't great. Few shareable apps
The food is good here but not as good as I had heard. My friends and family that live in Windsor rave about this place. The homemade preserves taste great but they are very runny so it's probably best to use it as a sauce for a dessert versus jam. I had the special prime rib sandwich, it tasted good but it was so fatty. Half of the meat portion was pure fat, more like brisket than prime rib so that was a disappointment. The coffee is bitter and tasted off to me. Just a suggestion for the restaurant, if a parent has a baby you should automatically provide an extra side plate. I had difficulty cutting up food for my baby on my very full plate. If I ask for an ounce of milk I shouldn't be brought a full sized glass and charged for it.
Service was freindly but not very good. Waited a long time to be seated , which happens. Food was so so. Potatoes were frozen bagged.
Great food and lots of craft beers to choose from. Worth a try! Cooking classes look great too!
A tiny bit pricey but the food was phenomenal and our server was so wonderful and friendly!!! We will DEFINITELY be returning!!
It was first experience there. My daughter brought me for a Birthday Brunch. I had Eggs Benedict and she had the breakfast poutine( which I finished). The food was fantastic, the service was excellent and the mimosas were delicious. Thanks for a wonderful brunch.
Excellent food and polite staff... A bit pricey, but it's quality.
Food is good and the you get your money's worth. The only thing they do not provide parking.
Good food. Ollie and Emily treated us great in the bar
Food was delicious and service was great! Portions were a good size, the hollandaise sauce was delicious, and the chicken was nice and tender! Would definitely come back here for brunch.
Food is wonderful here and the service is great. Highly recommend this place to everyone. I had the croque madame and it was phenomenal.
I've been here a number of times and the food has never disappointed! Always fresh and tasty!
Servers were very helpful when it came to finding options for me that were vegan!
All homemade desserts guys. The Hidden Gem is the Apple coffee cake. I also had the parfait which was good and the eggs benedict with quinoa patties instead of bread.
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our Mother’s Day event with Trish, chef at the Twisted Apron’s “ Chef Next Door”. Articulate, knowledgeable and organized, Trish gently guided us in the preparation of our menu “ Better With Beer”. During the evening she answered all questions thoughtfully, drawing on her extensive experience and understanding of the world of food. Everything we cooked tasted great! Thank you for a memorable, fun and definitely tasty evening. ???????? Liz Herron
Best breakfast in the city.
Awesome grub, Awesome service, a little pricey
Good food, nice atmosphere and a surprisingly large craft beer selection.
Always a great dinner. Service is friendly. Remembered my daughter and I from prior visits.
Excellent food and service. Have eaten her a couple times now and never been disappointed. Recommend the grilled cheese. Delicious.
Dine in
Best Twisted Burger! BLT Cobb salad was spectacular with a dill dressing...yummy
Always amazing , fresh organic local foods
Great brunch spot
A popular place for healthy and somewhat creative lunches and dinners in the Walkerville district. A good variety to choose from along with a nice drink from the bar.
Unique twists on classic breakfast lunch brunch items. Never had anything that wasn't phenomenal. Canadian breakfast sandwich and burger are must trys!
I loved the breaded poached egg....very cool!
They have the BEST Apple Toffee Cake I've ever had! I'm not a big cake person, but this completely changed. I'm from Michigan and I've gone back twice to get some of this absolutely divine dessert.
I used to love this place you had a wide selection of different food choices and then I come again and the menu has gotten alot smaller all my favorites are now gone. I would like more selection you have way to many bugers on the new menu
You must visit this place when you are in Windsor. Good food, great service, and good drinks.
The food is amazing and the staff love there jobs it's just a great place to have a meal and a couple drinks. The bar has the same menu as the restaurant so you can sit in either and get great service. I can't wait to try one of there cooking classes! They have new ones each month.
Did the chef next door to the Twisted Apron. Chef Trish was awesome helping the novice cook the food. We had roasted squash soup with maple cream. Beef tenderloin with red wine and mushrooms. Crispy potato cakes and finished with creme brulee for one. Wished some drinks were included with the meal/class.
Love their Mac and cheese
Great place with really flavourful foods!
Hip place with great food! Gotta try it!
Price of food does not match the quality/taste
Cool atmosphere for those that love to brunch! Consistently deliscious food that is creative, plentiful and fairly priced.
Great food, frequently updated menu.
Nice home cooked food. Relaxing atmosphere and very helpful staff.
Great food, great atmosphere, with decent service.
Wonderful food & service
The food is unique, American-central cuisine. It is decorated in a rustic style. Waitresses are personable and inviting, food is quick, about 15 minutes from order. It was not very busy when I went or dinner on the weekend. Burgers are very good. Only downside is it is rather expensive, but not more than I would expect for a higher end bar and restaurant. Would recommend it.
Great food, great service
Tasty n healthy options very nice modern rustic environment friendly staff always packed usually a line up
Food was good except for the fries
The food is fresh and delicious
I’ve always loved this place but the last time I went (just recently) I forgot a mask and since you can’t enter without one I asked the lady if they could give me one she said that they don’t give them to public… I had a scarf and wasn’t allowed to enter with that either, (even tho the table is 2ft away) they must really not want customers because I won’t be returning???? Maybe management can spring for some masks since their mandatory.
This place is excellent. Good coffee, great rotating taps and the food was very good. Highly recommend
Busy but great food
Great food, great service!!
Little pricey but the food is excellent
My fiance called in 21 minutes before close to order two chicken waffles! The lady on the phone as he made his order began to rudely remind him they close in 15 minutes. we made it on time and he went in to pay, even tipping for the inconvenience (as she made it clear they werent happy we were ordering). sadly the lady said she thought he only orsered one waffle maybe if she didnt wasnt so worried about reminding us they close soon, she could have heard our order correctly. she then asked the cook if it was too late to order another instead of telling the cook it was her fault, the cook then came out to rudely yell “NO” and “Are you serious?!” While looking rudely at my fiance. Unbelievable experience. Wish we had kept the money and left the food
Fabulous restaurant with an excellent menu. Food was served hot and fresh and was delicious. Have a number of craft beers on tap which is nice. Great service. Very friendly but not overly familiar.
The atmosphere here is really good. They were quit busy for lunch. The staff was very attentive, especially the youngest waitress (I would guess she was 13 or so). The food was really good (had a burger) it was just too rich. My pallet needed something to retreat to once in a while but had nowhere to rest. I couldn't finish what I had because the flavours were just too overwhelming. I wish I could remember what be burger we ordered. I would happily eat here again.
Amazing fresh food with a casual feel. Great music and dessert.
Decadent enjoyment of a fun brunch! The menu is delicious and drinks altering
Korean BBQ tacos! Awesome
Great twist to breakfast and other foods. Good service
Staff was great. Apps were fine.
Great breakfast. Friendly staff and eager to help get you extra jam. Huevos Rancheros were perfect. Ps) I like the oversize coffee mugs!
Went about 11am Sunday. Very busy time. Waitress was friendly. Food was fast and very good. Was bit expensive though.
Always good food and friendly staff.
Best brunch spot in walkerville! Abit pricey tho.
Always a great experience. Food is consistently delicious and always a creative flair. The staff are also great. Super friendly and helpful.
This is an adorable spot for brunch.
Excellent menu.. Great breakfast during the day!!
great food great service gluten free options
We came for breakfast and it was really good. The menu is inspired and has items that aren't just your regular eggs and bacon, those are there too though. The venue is cool looking, they have kombucha, a bar, and cooking classes. I had the Kentucky hot brown and really enjoyed it. Will come back!
Ambience was great, the waitstaff was very helpful and the food was very well done (larger portions than I could handle as well) I had the Canadian breakfast burger (or something to that effect), peameal bacon, an egg, and fixins - it was delicious
The Twisted Apron always has a good selection on their menu. Their dishes are always flavourful and give good portions. However, I do miss some items from the old menu!
Excellent food, good selection, and friendly service! They also offer excellent cooking classes at "The Chef Next Door!"
Our new favorite place!
Good food, Nice atmosphere, Great location in Walkerville.
Food was excellent and so was the service. Very enjoyable dinner experience.
Breakfast was very good had eggs Benny would go back again!
4 ladies with very different tastes and there were many items on the menu that appealed to everyone. All of the food was absolutely fantastic. Nice atmosphere, the music wasn't too loud and the service was friendly and fast! Will be back soon to try some items off the dessert menu!! Highly recomend!
Not very impressed with the food! The price for a macaroni and cheese was high and the taste was bland. I would not go again.
Food is always great. Good beers on tap. Great service always
First time I went to the twisted apron It took a little too long to get seats and a table, we almost packed it up and left to go elsewhere cause we were hungry. The fries were not very good as if we got the scraps! I'm a fair person so I will give this another shot and let you know how it turns out!!
EXCELLENT!!! Food and service amazing!!!
Great place for a nice breakfast and everything else locked good. Great service. Mid range prices. Great limited time breakfast special in the morning.
Fantastic variety of food and drink, great ambiance but a little crowded at times
Food is great service is awful. I worked 2 shifts at this location and was able to say the staff does not treat new comers with respect.
Creative menu. Wonderful food.
Always love the food. Great breakfast place!
Great place for brunch.
Food is always amazing....great location and staff is great....nice entrance u can drink at the bar while u wait for a table...great comfort food and beer
Good service. Good food however the place smells greasy and residue is even on the windows
Best comfort food in Windsor, great specials
Always a solid bet when going for brunch in Windsor. The quality of the food and service is excellent. They also have a great selection of draught beers and dessert.
This restaurant seems to always deliver simply fantastic food. We've had breakfast, lunches and dinner here several times and we have never been disappointed with anything. Service is very good, drink selection is really decent, food is top notch. Highly recommended!
Service and food was excellent! Can't wait to go back! Eggs benny was amazing!.
Amazing place, courteous staff& service and food is awesome. Highly recommend their Twisted burger with house made hot sauce, one must try it.. one of the best places in Windsor
Good beer selection and killer mac
The quantity and quality of food is good
Breakfast
The quinoa salad with crispy tofu ???? kind of expensive.
Friendly and hip restaurant pretty much everything is recommended ask for the daily specials
I fell in love with tofu the night I went to the Twisted Apron. I got their pad thai and added some tofu to it... I never wanted the meal to end. The service is always great every time I go!
One of my favourite breakfast / brunch spots. The twisted apron always serves up great early morning options. Everything I've had here is excellent and the menu changes frequently (a nice touch) but the stand out dish is always going to be their eggs benedict. The classic version is great but the smoked salmon version is exceptional. Prices are on the high side but considering the quality of the dish I consider it fair. They also offer weekly cooking classes with their chef which I would like to try.
Waitress flat out ignored us.
We love this restaurant. Delicious twists on classic dishes. The atmosphere is totally chill. Definitely recommend.
Very enjoyable dinning experience. Great value, great food.
Three of us went there last night. We realized when we walked in that we were at the bar and had to walk towards the back and go through a doorway to get to the main part of the restaurant. There were several empty tables near the doorway and no staff member came to us right away, so we proceeded a few feet further into the restaurant. As we stood there, a female staff person came up to us and said something to the effect of wondering whether or not we could read, because the sign said we should not seat ourselves. At that point, had it been solely up to me, I probably would have walked out in response to this rudeness. We were then seated and just remarked about her rudeness among ourselves. Then the waiter came and he was very friendly, polite and accommodating. The meal was ok. I'm not one to bother with reviews when I don't have something good to say, but after thinking about this for a bit, I concluded that this obtuse staff person might benefit from knowing the extremely negative effect of her words on customers.
Delicious breakfast that was big enough to keep us going right through to dinner.
From out of town, our go-to place for breakfast or brunch! Food is creative and always very filling.
Great cup of coffee to go along with my eggs Benny.
All of our food came out cold but we notified the waitress and they gave us a discount which was very nice. The food was very tasty.
Good food, excellent menu! Service was great, prices were fair, environment is fantastic, only mildly hipsterish.
I can't believe how good the food was a pleasant surprise after coming from Detroit.
Waitress could have been nicer! She seemed to be friendly with other tables. The food was good. The Ceaser was tasty! They did make my son's eggs his favorite way.
They advertise gluten free but do not have alot of choices but they think they do and they do not list what is gluten free on their menu.
Bad service and verily expensive.
Food is good but very expensive and portions are small.
Great service and nice comfortable atmosphere!
Best Greek turkey burger ever. Prices a bit high but food is excellent.
Best breakfast in town for 12 bucks
I have visited many times. They are friendly, the food is very good, they have made adjustments for dietary needs (diabetic at table) it's a great place to eat at. Parking Is a bit of a challenge, definitely not the restaurants fault :) A+++++
Love Love love the food and the staff!!
Good service. Good food. Everyone will say it's expensive and for some items it is, but the food is generally worth the price. Great atmosphere andi love what they're doing with the other spaces they own.
AMAZING FOOD! Great for a picky vegetarian eater ;)
Other than a 30 min wait for a table, which was well worth it our food and waitress were incredible! Will be back
Always try to visit this place when meeting family when I'm in from Ireland !! Food is good and the menu is different !! Keep it up you all
It was fine but slow service even though it didn't seem that busy.
Excellent food, service, wine!
One of my favourite places to visit for a high quail it’s breakfast. Menu items are seasonal and locally sourced. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Service is friendly and quick as well.
What a great night! Couldn’t have asked for a better server. She was so patient and with 17 11 year old boys in her section that couldn’t have been easy. Kept the drinks coming and did an amazing job recommending dishes to suit everyone’s taste. Would definitely go to the Twisted Apron again. Everything tasted great. Peanut butter cheesecake is a must order! Thanks again and we will definitely see you next time we are in Windsor!!
The food and service were amazing. Would definitely recommend!
Great Caesars, terrific food, very warm atmosphere
Hella good eggs benny. Hella. Good.
Nice cozy environment excellent food and good staff
Great food and service, had take out, ready on time, hot, in paper boxes not plastic or foam!!
Great brunch
They have so many yummy, creative dishes! They have plenty of different drinks on the menu both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I found the garlic parmasean frites a bit too lemony, but I'm sure the plain ones would be delicious! Cool atmosphere! Would definitely recommend!
Always a great experience. They are (and have been) separating their selves from the rest of the crowd in a competitive restaurant city. They stand out in terms of a unique menu, a lively set of staff members (met the chef, and know many of the waitresses, all being amazing), and great atmosphere. Beautiful tables, chalkboard for a menu, decor, etc. Just amazing.
Great food! Always have a great time there!
Had a business lunch here today and the food and service was amazing! Even during the Covid restrictions and being short staffed the Twisted Apron was able to produce exceptional service and great tasting food. Special shout out to Sylvia who waited on us, she was extremely professional and made great recommendations. I would definitely recommend this place.
Always amazing food! Always a warm welcome and great feeling when your there! Perfect date night stop!
Great spot in old Walkerville to enjoy breakfast or lunch. Friendly staff and great food make it a good atmosphere to take in the beauty of the area!
A fine choice for our group of 5. Some ordered breakfast others lunch. Great atmosphere and friendly server (thank you Lisa). Lots of choice for seating either inside or outside on the patio. Generous portions. Great selection of house-made jams & pickles to purchase & take home.
Always amazing. It's busy for good reason and you have to respect their policy on seating when you go, but its worth the wait.
Absolutely delicious!
Been there 4 times haven't been disappointed yet!
Unique food items, great taste!!! Even love the beer menu!! Really expensive!! Lunch was almost $30!! Only go once and a while!!
Amazing food and exceptional service! Try the black bean burger, it’s great!
Breakfast Poutine was great!
I’ve been here twice now and this time the group was coming on my recommendation. Really a great place. Prepare to wait, but it’s worth it. The medium is right on the brink of too much for a mild heat liver. Go beyond that at your own risk. I will always take my buddies here when in Nashville.
The decor is nice and clean. The food was great. Enjoyed my breakfast.
Nice place, good for families.
This food tasted exactly how it was supposed to taste and nothing less, nothing new, nothing more and nothing surprising. I ordered french toast with a side of home fries and my friend ordered pancakes with bacon. My friend said that was the most delicious bacon she had ever had in her life. The portions at this restaurant are pretty hefty! Nothing too special about the interior decoration. I originally wanted to get their breakfast Poutine, however i am vegetarian so I can not eat the gravy. I asked if they served mushroom gravy but they do not. I am from Detroit, Michigan, USA and commuted to this restaurant from Detroit. Every restaurant in Detroit that serves Poutine, ALWAYS offers a vegetarian option gravy! ALWAYS! But every time I go to a restaurant that serves Poutine in Windsor, they NEVER offer a vegetarian option. My friends from Toronto have told me that Toronto restaurants always serve a veggie option Poutine as well. I'm not quite sure why Windsor is slow to catch up to their customer's growing needs.
We went to this place because we heard so many good things about it. How ever it was horrible. Food is bland and overpriced and the waitress was extremely rude. When I asked for a side of pickles she looked shocked like I was asking for cocaine, then advised me that they dont do that. They don't have pickles. Weird seeing as there is deep fried pickles on the menu. None the less would not suggest this place and definitely will not be going back.
Outstanding to say the least! Great food and excellent service. Our cups and glasses were always full! Thank you Twisted Apron for a pleasurable dining experience.
Nice atmosphere...very good food...reasonably priced....great service
Pretty pricy but it was good! I had the black bean burger and it was phenomenal but I assume they deep fry it, I felt ill after because of the grease, should have got a salad :(
One of the more consistent places in Windsor for brunch and lunch every day. Menu is more meat heavy but there's always alternatives or special requests. Can get very busy on the weekend so choose timing wisely.
Tried the steak and eggs. Steak was cooked perfectly with a nice seasoning. Eggs were runny and cooked perfectly. They forgot to ring in one order but it came out shortly after. Very nice venue.
Really changed from when they first opened. Service and quality have gone way down. Really disappointed the last time we went. It was such a good restaurant.
Great food. Reasonably priced. Excellent staff and service!
I absolutely love this restaurant, especially the breakfast menu. I've been going for years! Unfortunately, I recently discovered that I have a dairy and gluten allergy, and the menu at the Twisted Apron does not have much for people like me. I really hope they decide to add more options for those with allergies because I love going there!
This as a great find while we were visiting Windsor. Excellent home style food cooked with a lot of lovin. The staff were so friendly in helping choose our orders. The craft beers were excellent!
Good food with a twist. Worth the wait.
Great eggs benny. Hash was cooked perfectly.
French toast.... the best ever
Unfortunately every time I come in to have breakfast it tastes different. Some days we went and it was really good and some days it’s just sloppy and terrible. Same goes with service, most of the time they are very rude.
When I went here last the breakfast was amazing.
Went for breakfast and the restaurant was full so we were asked to wait in the bar for a table to be freed in the restaurant section. We asked for a coffee or hot chocolate while we waited and were told we couldn't have a coffee or a hot chocolate with no explanation. When asked why, we were told that they didn't want us to carry a hot drink to our table! A simple solution would have been to ask us to either finish our hot drinks in the bar or have a waitress carry our drinks for us! The waitresses acted as if we were stupid for asking them to serve us coffee/hot chocolate as we waited. Once seated at our table the food was great as it always is and our waitress was wonderful. Just the the hot drink policy was very lame.
We had heard amazing things about the Twisted Apron but only went for the first time last week. I had the best hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had on my breakfast poutine. We loved the atmosphere and the service was excellent! Best brunch place in Windsor
Love the food and service is 5 Star.
It's a decent spot.
Great spot in a great location. Little details in the food that make it enjoyable and memorable
Good food and good sercice
Incredible brunch menu! Always deelish.
Great for spot for breakfast, wife and I went into Windsor for the day and started it there. The food was very good (I had the breakfast poutine) and the staff were all quite nice even when I didn't know that they can bring you the card swiper which is awesome btw.
They brought out 3 of 4 dinners. And the 3 patrons were complete their dinner well befor the fourth dinner which was a pork loin special came out. They made no attempt for a complimentary dessert or consideration for the lateness.
Never a bad experience but the prices are a bit much for breakfast
Its ok. Potatoes are frozen bagged. Wait was long. Meh. Next.
Would give this place less stars if i could. Food was cold....so was the coffee. The only bread available is rye or whole grains. So your choices are rock or bird seed bread. The sausage looked and tasted like they mixed canned pet food with something out if a cat litter box. Should have known the food would be bad when I looked at the menu and nothing looked appetizing. I WILL NEVER BE BACK THERE. ITS WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YIU GET.
The sunshine burger tasted like a mcdouble and the french fries were burnt/way overcooked. I expect something more for 17 bucks plus tax plus tip. Service was ok.
Good food, a little pricey but worth it for the occasional visit! Try the Twisted Burger!
The food is alright, but overpriced. Sandwich and fries cost $22!
Funky, eclectic, nice bar waiting area, wine on tap.
Delicious food! I had the breakfast burger and fries.
Menu could be a little more diversified, as it shares a lot of items, but all in all was a delicious meal.
Definitely worth a visit when you are in Windsor. Love going there for breakfast or brunch!
Good service great food
Always a hot spot for great food, reasonable serving times. Very nice waiting staff. They also have cooking classes ing the next room. The twisted Apron had become a classic place to go.
Great food, and a casual atmosphere. Specials and beers on tap chnge regularly. Kind of a hipster place.
Great menu selection. They usually change the menu periodically to keep it fresh.
Food was incredible, service was quick and polite. A great spot for breakfast, except you charged me $3.25 for a cup of weak garbage and called it coffee.
Absolutely delicious food and has dishes for meat eaters and people that enjoy a plant based diet! A terrific atmosphere. I truly enjoyed their kambucha on tap as well as a delicious brunch cocktail.
Food is consistently good. They have the best home fries for their breakfast hash.
I crave that breakfast platter every day! Best breakfast in the city! Nice bar to sit at too. Friendly place.
Love the concept! The food was incredible. We had Eggs Benny poutine and their burger and parm garlic fries. Omg so delicious! Most definitely will be back again!
I enjoy eating at twisted apron. The menu rotates new items frequently enough that I usually get to try something new when I visit. Decent selection of beers. Bonus points for unique soups and great baked breads. The staff has always been top notch.
Went there for Sunday Brunch, was not disappointed! Atmosphere was warm and open, and we didn't have to wait at all. I had their brunch special, which was baguette French toast eggs Benedict. Excellent mix of sweet and savory! Coffee was also quite good, and their Ceasar was spicy and delicious. Will definitely come back.
Food was ok but server was terrible. Forgot our appetizer then proceeded to mention on multiple occasions that Americans are dumb. Not pleasant.
Great food great atmosphere!
Good food and nice servers ???? When this place first opened 5-ish years ago it seemed to have this sort of magic to it that I don't feel anymore. There were definitely some shifts with chefs and overall vision. So, still good but I can't put my finger on what exactly changed..
Excellent experience. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great vegan options.
Love this restaurant. It's such a wonderful place for dates and meetings. The food is unique and delicious, and they have lots of options for dietary restrictions. I will definitely come here again
Got to try this place. We did for the fun of the name and just loved it. Will be going back again...and again. Must try for yoyrself.
Great atmosphere and the service and food was excellent. Thanks.
Good food better ambiance and great service!
Love their perogies
Our waitress was kind. I did not like the food. It lacked flavor although I feel that it doesn't have potential. I got the twisted burger. The place is pretty lively and not the type of place to bring children. (They only have one booster seat) There isn't alot of space to park your car. If you cant find a parking spot, I'd recommend going somewhere else. I came here because the food network did and it was overall very disappointing.
My friend and I went for brunch. We arrived separately so I had to wait until she got there. They followed Covid protocols, we had to wear mask and they checked vaccination passports and ID once you are seated. There was also a QR code …
The flavour of the dirty burg was unreal, but the green Benny wasn't my favourite. The egg was a bit sour from the vinegar and the pesto didn't help. It would have been nice to have hash browns or something small on the side of the meal to make it more filling.
Very busy.
Love this place. The food is always awesome and something different. I usually get the chef's omelette which never disappoints. The soups are great and coffee is good black.
Great experience for breakfast. Everyone loved their meals and the service was excellent.
Food was excellent, our waitress was lovely.
Very elegant, quiet place with amazing food
I ordered the Twisted burger which was so delicious. I loved the brie in it. The service was ok but I think the waitress was new. I can't wait to try other items on the menu.
Do you serve halal meat...
Very good
Great Vegan food and environment! Quick service with high quality goods and foods. Cooking lessons match the flavour in their dishes!
Loved this gem! Great vibes: great eats!
Great soft pretzel appetizer
I recommend and will be back.
Nice place! Great local brew selection. Menu was rather diverse, my dish was small, but had some delicious flavors goin on. Id go back!
Amazing food and service. You will not be disappointed here.
Great brunch, best hash around.
Hot waiter A++
Food was quite good, service was not amazing. Waitress who served us was unreasonably rude.
Great food , great service will definitely be back soon.
Great service, not a long wait, waitress made sure my mom (who's celiac) was getting a dish that wouldn't make her sick. My only issue was that it was really busy and, therefore, really loud.
Amazing! The food was very flavorful, and kambucha on tap was very refreshing as well. Highly recommend a visit.
Ridiculous! So tasty!! Steak sandwich was so tender, I could actually bite into it. No steak knife required. The Queen Liz Cake was on point! Perfect seasonal finale. We're definitely signing up for a cooking class too. How cool!!
Well today my friends and my girlfriend dined in at twisted and apron. Upon sitting down we must have waited at least 10 minutes before being approached by our server for our drink order. It mush have taken another 15 minutes afterwards for her to take our food orders. I would say if it was busy I'd understand but it wasn't. When the food arrived it was fantastic everyone enjoyed the food at our table. Again though our server never checked up on us. She was friendly but didn't come to our table until we all needed our bills. We also must have waited at least 15-20 minutes for our bills. My girlfriend and I had to leave because we couldn't wait for her since we were in the rush to go to work. Our friends ended up paying for us. This is our 2nd time here and the food is great but the servers are slow and also seemed like they were stereotyping our tables on both occasions because we were young that we weren't going to tip them well. Again the food was good though.
Food tasted good, lots of healthy alternatives, and the server was very nice. My friends and I even stayed an hour or so after our meal was done and paid for. Server kept bringing us water and checking on us.
The Twisted Apron never disappoints. By far my favourite restaurant in the Walkerville area!
Great Food. Cheap beer on Fridays. 5 dollar pints
Food was good, but breakfast was a bit overpriced. Also, the hostess wouldn't seat us until our entire group arrived. Was really weird and uncomfortable. Not a good place to go with a group.
A touch pricey but well worth the warm environment and fantastic menu. It's like having your grandmother's cooking but with modern and intriguing twists. A great place for dates, family dinners, casual business lunches, ect. The mood is very friendly and the food is well above par, would certainly recommend this Walkerville gem.
Amazing food and decor.
Try the Eggs Benny, delicious.
Good food
Wonderfully creative and delicious food
Service
How is this not at least 4.8 to a 5 star reviewed restaurant??? I'm from Hamilton where there's a killer food culture. Twisted Apron is bar far the BEST breakfast place I've ever been to. It's hip, it's beautiful, it's homemade!!!! Food is outstanding!!! Kombucha and cold brew on tap....homemade jam, homemade hot sauce....it's first rate
Definitely will not go back. Staff was rude and we were waiting for a long time for our food, though it was not particularly crowded. When the food finally arrived it was cold, it was overly priced and not particularly flavorful. We were not impressed. Nor are we recommending it.
Please consider adding cheese to the breakfast poutine, otherwise it was good
Food and service were good, menu was creative and fresh
Food really was delicious, drinks as well. The portions however are too small for what you’re paying, and you’re paying above average price if you’re especially here for brunch. Service, I must say however, was amazing.
We love this restaurant. The brunch menu is available till 7pm and they have a unique offering not just the traditional bacon and eggs. We had fish and chips with a thin but very crispy batter and lovely flaky halibut and beef stew which was very yummy. You must try this spot! Parking can be a challenge.
Service was quick and special order to go delicious generous portions friendly staff
Good food, sometimes they don't answer the phone for orders to be picked up, but other than that, everything is fresh and good. Recommended this place if you are vegan or vegetarian too.
Excellent service and breakfast
It's great I suppose if you enjoy waiting in a line for an hour that stretches through the restaurant, through the waiting room and almost hits the front door. The food definitely isn't worth the wait.
Great place. Desptite the bad reviews from a few clueless people.
Its a nice place. Good atmosphere, nice selection of food, it's on the higher price end.
Love some Twisted Apron. I’ve been for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and I’ve been solo and with a group of 10+ people. No matter the case, I’ve always had great food and courteous, prompt and on point service. Staff was great when dealing with dietary restrictions and making sure your experience is a happy one from start to finish. Highly recommend the breakfast poutine or any bene they’re dishing out. Keep up the great work TA crew!
Great food. Great service. Vegan options and all greasy seasonal foods. Highly recommend.
Just arrived in Windsor and we were lucky enough to find this place. Hands down one of the best eggs bennys I have ever had.
Nice place for a good dinner for special holidays. Unfortunately the dinner menu is limited. The quality of the food is superb. Menu has great selection for breakfast, lunch and brunch. Little pricey, but good none the less.
It's been a while since we've been here but great food and service all around! Would definitely recommend!
A nice place. The employee are adorable. The mushroom soup was sooo delicious.
There chicken burger with twisted mac n cheese had me stuffed to the brim. Very friendly service and the best of the best food around. Oh the ceaser is a must try.
I only went into here to go to the bathroom! But the place was absolutely beautiful inside with, really nice staff, from what I saw the food looked great too My husband and I always wanted to go back!
I have been wanting to try The Twisted Apron for a while now & I sooo wanted to like the food there. I had heard that they were a bit pricey for their portion size but also been told that they source locally & we always want to support our community. I went this past Saturday about 1:30. Got seated quickly enough & the friendly waitress came to take our order in a timely manner. Ambiance is great. No complaints there. BUT then the food came.... I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. It was made with a chicken thigh!!!! In their defense the menu just says "crispy chicken" I guess for $13 I assumed it would've been an actual chicken breast. It came with a cup of soup, like an literal cup & it was room temperature at best. My husband also got cabbage soup with his very tiny Steak Sandwich for $16 & his soup while tasty was practically cold. Very disappointing to say the least. Not impressed, but for me, here is the kicker. I told my waitress that I couldn't eat my lunch & asked for it to be removed from the bill ( it just didn't taste good ) so we get our bill & yes the sandwich was removed but they charged $4 for the 'cup' of soup!!! I get it, you cant please everyone & honestly I am not a picky eater. We both ate our cold soup & didn't complain about that part. But to charge me $4 for a small portion of soup just didn't sit well with me. Sad to say, wont be going back & unfortunately, probably wouldn't recommend it either. :(
Great food and service. Atmosphere is great too. Prices are high. You'd get a 5 if you lowered prices a bit.
Food was very good
Does not seem as nice as it was a few years ago. The vegan burger was very sad and had no taste. Even the bun seemed stale. How hard is it to make a decent veggie burger? And it was $11 for just the burger. Even the waitress was careful not to ask us about our meal. Fortunately there's a great place around the corner that we went to afterwards for lunch part 2 and it was fabulous as usual.
A few years back I would have rated 5 stars but with my last three+ visits I'd have to drop it to 3 stars....averaging 4 overall to be fair. I love the the breakfast bennies (especially the smoked salmon) and the mac and cheese. With the last few visits I've had one instance of curt service despite my friendly smile, and repeated instances of under-cooked potatoes, over-cooked eggs and salty soup and sauce. Hoping to return with raving reviews again. Chef Next Door was a great experience and I'm glad they host this.
I used to love the twisted apron. The food was always on point. Unfortunately the last few times our dinner parties have all agreed, it's just not the same quality food that it used to be. Service is still exceptional.
I came here for lunch after a bike ride. Not wanting to leave my bike unattended at a bike rack (ok I’ll be honest I didn’t have a lock for it, its my first time riding) so I put it up against the pedestrian walkway fence only to be hustled out because I wasn’t allowed to lean it on the fence - the lady said it was a walkway only. Funny they had room for their menu sign but my bike would somehow (?!) impede on pedestrians walking. Anyways, I went to Kona Sushi and it was amazing. 5/5 for kona.
The service was great, so was the place however the food not so much. I would describe it to be too rich, pretty upset that they would ruin a perfectly good steak with hollandaise sauce. Way too creamy and I threw it all up within 2 hours of coming home. My boyfriend had the chicken pot pie which was pretty but once again too rich and made him sick. I am hoping to recover from this mess of a breakfast.......
Ok food and service
Friendly waitstaff, reasonable prices, trendy atmosphere, and the food is always delicious. Wonderful location in the heart of the Walkerville arts district. A great place to take brunch or dinner!
the appetizer we had was amazing, some type of goat cheese on amazing bread with dried cranberries. i was disappointed with my main, the chicken was overcooked, the fries were meh and the gravy was way too thick. the dessert was amazing though, chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. I made myself sick eating so much, i couldn't stop and the slice was huge.
Always terrific in every way. Great food. Attentive service. Superb daily specials to boot.
Service was guick and friendly. At first the prices are a bit steep. The burger with an egg, cheese, patty and bacon (I believe it was called the sunshine burger?) Was around $12 for the burger alone. The side of fries was an extra $5. What really got me was the cheese they used on he burger was without a question Kraft singles. It had the same exact slightly melted texture and taste of the plastic wrapped Kraft singles you get at any store which ruined the whole burger. The paddy, bacon l, fries and egg we're fine but that plastic cheese taste snuck through every bite.
Loved the environment, food tastes great and nice service . Definitely coming back again
Delicious....service great....atmosphere terrific....good location
Different but like it alot.
Service was okay but not exceptional. Brought out a charcuterie board that we didn’t order and forgot the PB&J cheesecake dessert we did order. Food from Uncommon Kitchen was good, certain things I’d order again and certain things I wouldn’t. Carrot tacos, mushroom bao buns, and popcorn chicken were all great. Trio of dips and schnitzel sliders were basic and rather uninspired.
I had a salad and it was really good. Fresh crisp and the dressing was flavourful.
Probably some of the best food in the city! Fresh ingredients, beautiful recipes, perfectly prepared. I've not had a single dish I thought was "just ok." Go there! Get literally anything ????
Best brunch place in southern Ontario!!!
Cute little restaurant hidden in the heart of Windsor. Food is original and delicious. Portions are a bit small but affordable. Courteous and nice staff. Would recommend!
The food is always delicious. Breakfast sandwich and breakfast skillet are great. Their homemade jam is phenomenal. Highly recommended.
All around delightful food and causal atmosphere. Great service too!
I only went there for a snack with my grandson. It was good. We shared an order of frites as they call the French fries. Big order for $5.95. I had coffee and he had a humongous hot chocolate which he really enjoyed. Right up the line of a twelve year old in a nice big cup with a swirl of chocolate sauce on top and whipped cream. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was full of people. They have tables or booths and three sections. Large restaurant. I looked at the menu. They have semi gourmet food I would say. Nothing is run of the mill. I prefer di Er type places but many just love this place. Atmosphere is very nice. Prices pretty high for my taste but definitely worth trying.
Second time here. Staff is super friendly, and the food is awesome! Would for sure go back and would for sure recommend.
Great service and food
Overpriced for what you get. terrible service, so so food and rude server; beer was good. Not sure what all the fuss is about. Keep away We had a large party and some of us receive mains and dessert before others even had received appetizers. They mixed up orders, served half of the table, then went to other customers and half served them. Quite a gong show of a restaurant. Their response was to tell us this is not fast food. No kidding, but they are not fine dining (or a value priced restaurant) either and even the most basic restaurant can figure out order of service -- not these amateurs. Their food is only a step above fast food and the service is horrible. Servers are rude and disorganized. They have a reputation for decent food -- based on our experience this is not deserved. One customer got a piece of a paper bag in her salad. This is typical of a poor restaurant. Keep away from the food and maybe go for the beer and nothing else. Do yourself a favour go to any other mid priced restaurant (for example the Keg) and get good service and good food served on time and in the right order. This way you won't be disappointed and won't feel ripped off.
The Twisted Apron is by far the best brunch west of Toronto; they have excellent dinners and deserts too. The salted caramel pudding is phenomenal.
Great food and Craft on tap.
Always had great food, staff are great and experienced. It's a happening place...
Delicious food.
Jordy is super hunky and nerdy at the same time. If you want to love a place for the staff, you could do worse.
Nice menu choices
Great place to eat, staff is great and so are the prices
Perogies all the wat
The food was absolutely fabulous. We orded 3 different items and they couldn't have been better. Very high marks for the service as well.
Really nice restaurant, friendly staff and excellent food choices.
Can't go wrong with anything here. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food.
We brought a group of 10 for breakfast and were not disappointed . It is pricey but the food is superb and the atmosphere was great. The gang we had was beyond delighted that they could order anything from the menu - not just breakfast food ! Great friendly service , fresh , large portion delightful Food with a great range .
The Atlantic eggs Benedict is amazing. Really love going here.
Delicious as always! Nice breeze on the patio with superb service!
Tasty brunch... BLT salad is delicious but $18.00. The fries were tasty and the chicken and waffle Bennie was great. The carrot cake is good but small and the food is expensive!
Location was cute, food was alright but it was expensive for what it was
Interesting food and a pleasant atmosphere.
Not a fan of the new policy. Tried to go for lunch. Party of 3. Our third was parking the car and they insisted they would not seat us until our 3rd was in the door. Meanwhile a couple other tables were seated ahead of us (that arrived after us) and when our 3rd walked in we were told that they were now full and we'd have to wait. Thanks for nothing. The food at the Willistead across the street was great.
the food is very good great if you want to try something new and stay local but I wish the service was a little faster the food wasnt that expensive and the servers checked on us a little more
Always A+ Experience, best sourced ingredient s in the city....
Average food too sugary flies hella unsanitary close the dinning room kill the flies and then reopen
Pretty good! Can be a little slow when it’s busy.
Love the food and the atmosphere! Great service!!
Great food and unbeatable service!! A must visit for a great bite in walkerville! Thanks Twisted Apron for always going above and beyond!
Great place. Good food and beer. Excellent service. I even stayed a bit longer to work with my laptop. Will return when passing around.
Long wait, though they said 10-15 minutes for a table. Though we got breakfast which should be quick, we waited a looking time to get our food. Clam chowder was terrible, few clams, weird sweet flavor. Requested moist scrambled eggs, they were dry. Don't bother with the horrible gluten free bread. Coffee was mediocre, can get coffee drink at bar but not coffee while you wait for a table. Good service, sausage and bacon were tasty, cheddar omelette was very good. Overall experience disappointing based on reviews.
Great place with a great dinner menu. This is a great place to enjoy breakfast / lunch as well!
Great food, atmosphere and customer service!
This was a great place my husband and I learned of recently. We actually chose to eat here on a Sunday after reading various reviews and we're extremely happy with our decision. We don't often have the opportunity to get out alone without children in tow, so this was a treat. We were happy with the friendly atmosphere, & although we had to wait about 30 minutes we enjoyed a morning infused beverage that was both refreshing & a great touch to our mid morning date. The menu was filled with interesting dishes which made it difficult to chose. However we both very much enjoyed our choices. We also appreciated the weekly choices and variety the restaurant had to offer. Definetly a must to try out if you are seeking something new and interesting
Bit of a wait for the food, but it comes out perfect every time.
Amazing food and service! Made from scratch and Soooo tasty!
Very busy, be prepared for a wait as the restaurant is small but popular. Brunch allows for the option of breakfast or lunch and our group went down the middle. The perch special was excellent. The burger was good, fries were hot and crispy. Good coffee.
Breakfast was better than I anticipated. The portion was spot on.
The lamb ???? special tonight was amazing and very reasonably priced, with $5 pints you can't go wrong
Great service and food. My son enjoyed the fish and chips and I enjoyed the salad.
First time going I received a terrible first impression. Staff was rude. Second time, the food was great, and staff seemed to have been decent. Third and fourth time, got better and better. :)
Food is awesome.
Excellent menu selections! Service is amazing! Food is great!
Excellent gourmet food and ultra cosy atmosphere! Feels like your at home :)
Great food! Fries 10/10 - and great service! A must visit when going to Windsor. If you are catching to train make sure you leave a little early and grab a meal here before the journey home. A really big thanks to the lady who returned my wallet! You are my hero! Thanks so so much!!
Excellent service. The host and waitress was exceptional! With everything from the minute we arrived. We had a great time with our hockey team! Food was fresh and amazing! We will definitely come back! Wish I remembered the server (host)name! Great for hockey teams, again food was VERY fresh and amazing!! Wish I could give 10 stars
Food was amazing. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere
Stopped in during the Walkerville holiday walk and looked around. Definitely will go back
Great food and service
The food quality seems to have lagged a bit in recent years (e.g., replacing high quality ingredients with cheaper alternatives). Still a decent lunch spot
Not nearly as impressive as it was a couple years back. I feel it's overpriced, service was slow and she seemed to not like her job, and the food was flavorless. I usually go for breakfast, but this time I tried dinner.
Great food, great staff
In my opinion the best restaurant in Windsor. Love it. Great food, great service, casual atmosphere, great beer selection. My only real complaint is that they don't take reservations so the wait can be long to get in. With the wait of there is on.
Amazing food every time !
Absolutely the best experience, we came in with a large group - food was made to order and very fresh. Yeah we had to wait a bit but the food is coming out fresh and not like a chain restaurant where it's sitting ready for hours. I don't mind waiting when you get amazing food!!! Drinks were flowing which is super important as well. Our group dinner was all about getting to know the families and Twisted Apron was so accommodating and fantastic. They didn't rush us out even though we took up most of there restaurant, they were patient and kind to our kids and above all the food was fantastic! Next time we are in Windsor I would go back in a heart beat. This is the place to go if it's just a couple or if you have a group. You don't get many of these gems now a days and truly this was a gem to find! Thank you Twisted Apron staff for making our experience such a wonderful one. To the negative poster below - I strongly disagree Every one from our group enjoyed themselves and raved about the restaurant after - Twisted Apron is wonderful and a must try!!! You won't be disappointed.
Best home fries. Great selection of food and drinks
Very slow service especially at lunch otherwise would give 4 stars
The French toast and fish tacos were wonderful! Friendly customer service as well. That was my first time there with a friend who had never been to Canada before and she enjoyed it also.
Decided to give this place a try few weeks back as I was in town and recommended their vegan quinoa burger. When I got there I was brought to a table that hadn't been whiped down (it was really sticky and smelled like spilled beer) and when I moved the waitress realized that I changed seats. I explained to her why I moved and she said she would whipe the table. I waited to see if she would whipe it and instead I seen another pair of women told to sit at the same table. It disgusted me. Anyway I ordered my food and opted crispy tofu tacos. It came with 3 fair sized tacos with red cabbages few strips of tofu, didn't really taste appealing. Poor customer service and the food was not tasty at all. Had no other vegan options besides the quinoa burger and unfortunately I will not be visiting again.
First time here and the breakfast was amazing. Eggs cooked perfectly served with peamale bacon as a standard side. Service was excellent, will definitely return
Great food and service.
Amazing brunch. Fried chicken waffle benny and meat lover omelette were excellent.
Always good! Been many times & will go again!
Great food good service
Decent food and nice atmosphere. A little surprised I didn't see a handicap friendly washroom.. our waitress was quite rude to us about wanting separate bills as well.
Food is amazing. Menu is awesome. Service ia great. Love going here..sometimes a wait..but cant hate on them for being busy ! :)
Food 9/10 Service 2/10 We were only checked up on once we were ready for the bill, would understand if it was busy but the staff seemed more interested in their personal conversations then making sure their customers were happy
Loved our breakfast! Great food and awesome servers!
I have been here twice: once for breakfast and once for dinner. Fantastic. The food was incredible, and it was the least impressive part. The MOST impressive is the service. It was a busy breakfast and I came in nine minutes before mimosa time. I asked about it, was told I was too early, and we put in our food orders. My intention was to order the mimosa once the food was delivered but, lo and behold, at 11:01, our waitress was there at our table with my mimosa. It seems so small to some but to me, it was huge that despite a busy, busy brunch hour, she remembered and delivered. We brought a friend here that was visiting who has dietary restrictions. And there was no balking about it as he outlined what he needed and what he didn't. No fuss, no muss and our waiter was amusing to boot. This place gets a lot of hype, and I'm here to confirm with everyone else that it's well deserved.
Great little spot. Interesting menu. Friendly staff. The coffee was pretty weak, but I had the Smashed Toast and really enjoyed it.
Best breakfast joint in town by far. Love going there with friends Sunday mornings. Always packed but for good reason.
A must for girls' day brunch/ lunch! Unique menu, fresh eating.
Great service. Even better food. One of the best steak sandwiches I've ever had.
Really enjoy the food. Awesome service. Features are always very creative. Used to love their goat cheese salad.
Good, clean, wholesome food
Best place for brunch in Windsor! Good food and service, but can be a bit of a wait on the weekends.
Extremely slow service. Food was pretty good but not worth the hour wait.
I love this place! It's so cute! The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious!! Ask for Jamie! ????
Food is good service is not that great... waited 40 minutes for a burger which was good...service was dry & only checked on us 1time but when it was time to pay waitress was all chatty & friendly???
Breakfast - my waffle came out cold with a blob of butter that couldn't melt because of that. Did my meal sit waiting for my daughter's to be cooked or did it sit waiting to be picked up? Either indicates poor timing. Daughter's egg was overcooked and the whole thing was bland. Neither of us enjoyed our meal. Waitstaff were great though. A bit overpriced for what we got.
Great restaurant!! We were a group of 40 people....adults and children, and the service was great. The servers were friendly, and offered great recommendations! The food was very tasty! A wonderful time had by all! Definitely recommend for families and groups!! :)
Great food and friendly service. The mac and cheese is worth the visit alone. They also offer a range of preserves to take home. Have only been a few times for brunch so I can't comment on the evening bar service, but in a trendy area in a city where worthwhile spots can be hard to find this is a must visit, whether you're a local or passing through.
I always love eating at twisted apron. I have tried so many things on the menu. There burgers are amazing, both the vegan and beef burgers are to die for. I believe they buy a lot of local ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic food and service! Recommend the chefs omelette but if you want the daily specials, go early. Once they are out, they are crossed off the board.
Amazing food. Excellent hollandaise sauce. Highly recommend.
Twisted Apron used to be my local go-to; it was where I took friends from out of town, and my first choice for breakfast or dinner dates. I'm not sure what's happened in the last year and change, but now I get smaller portions for a higher price, and the recipes are more like standard diners. I haven't given up hope, so many great memories at this place, but please bring back the old magic. As of last visit, probably would not recommend.
Always enjoy my visit. Coffee is always flavorful and never bitter. Croque Madame... order that everytime.
Had a very pleasant and tasty dinner here. I got soup + salad and my colleague a had salmon. We were very satisfied with our food. Our cokes were flat and the waitress didn't hesitate to bring two cans instead. Casual + affordable + yummy!! Will take my hubby when he is in town next time.
The Twisted Apron is a local hot spot for breakfast and brunch, but also has some good dinner options. Their burgers and sides are great (with the option to make any burger vegan), some of my personal favourite local beers on tap, dessert menu offers some amazing choices (although a little bit expensive with most options averaging $8) and service is definitely above average. While dining in, the restaurant ran out of the particular beer I ordered as well as having an error with one item our table ordered as a main, so our waitress came by, calmly and politely apologized as she explained the situation, and offered to comp our desserts and a drink (very good customer service!). Overall very good experience, and I would recommend for any time of the day!
Food is very good and creative. Fun servers and a great location
Always order the eggs Benedict. Soooo good. Waitress was really helpful. Followed all safety protocols for Covid.
Always a pleasure visiting the Twisted Apron. Great service and the food is invariably delightful. Highly recommended.
Come here all the time on overnight trips to Windsor. Favorites:. Traditional Benny and Breakfast Poutine. Wonderful service!
Simple food, great execution.
A bit expensive but tasty
In love with the eggs Benedict!!
Anything on the menu is top shelf!
Really just stopped in to have a coffee on a cold January night. But it was good
Fast, as advertised, accomodating to menu changes. Minimal decor.
My favourite spot to grab breakfast with colleagues and friends! Great food and service!
Nice friendly staff.. good food
Consistently pretty good food. I can't say I've ever been blown away, but it's a nice spot in Olde Walkerville and sometimes consistency is what matters most when running a successful restaurant. Kudos on extending your patio in the Summer and giving people some dine-in options during this weird time!
Great food. All homemade. Great service.
We had such a great time here! Fantastic portion sizes for the price, and such a varied menu. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food was absolutely delicious, and our waitress was so friendly and helpful. Will be back!
Had a great brunch. My sunshine burger and cocktail were both great.
Awesome place. Great food. Creative homemade dishes.
Great food, amazing service. The ambiance is what Windsor needs more of.
This place has incredible food and drinks. Priced very well too!
Food was pretty good, but the prices were a bit high.
Good service and food. Definitely would be back.
Good environment, good staff, but poor choice of foods. Mostly bar-like lunch and dinner options. Worth checking once at least.
Our Server Sierra was the best! She was knowledgeable of the menu and her service was efficient and with a smile
They have an awesome menu, but there is often a wait for a table.
Some of the most fresh food Ive ever tasted. This is a place to put on your list for sure.
Amazing food. Great service.
Had the cheesecake French toast. Flavors of lemon and blueberry. Thick bread and delicious! Sat outside on patio. Coffee just what I needed to start the day! As seen on "You Gotta Eat Here!"
The prices were relatively high for average food. Waiter seated us then asked us to move to combine our table to another for a larger group. They need better organizational and people skills.
