Reservations on a Friday night ???? patio were hard to get. Then we were sat in the corner. With our view obstructed by the giant fireplace that was off, along with the fire tornadoes ????. When paying a premium for a night out, I expect to be seated in a spot that reflects the super High prices. Not sure who the manager is but I'm guessing a new one will start soon

As someone from Buffalo, we are certainly not lacking in delicious burgers. However, since the first time I tried The Works, I knew I needed to go back and experience it even more. For starters, the atmosphere is incredible. Lots of seating available and warmly lit (which is very important to some people). The staff are extremely friendly.

Birthday Celebration Disappointment - reservations for table for 4 made in advance. We ended up just outside the kitchen. Will choose a better place to go in the future. Ended up eventually moving to another table but management did not make this process comfortable at all. Perhaps their General Manager onsite should check the attitude before coming to work. Keg customer in Toronto for over 40 years. Food was good but experience soured by how staff handled our reservation.

Delicious food and great service. It has a sports bar like atmosphere, so if you're looking for a quiet place to dine, this might not be a good option. I had no issues however. I believe reservations are necessary to eat here.

As my partner's first time to Canada, The Keg made a great first impression. We enjoyed phenomenal bread, brie, soup, fish tacos, and a mini brownie dessert, all of which I would recommend. I don't eat meat, but my coworkers raved about the steak (Be warned: the horseradish is strong!). We parked in a lot down the street for $4, but there turned out to be free parking at the restaurant. The waitstaff were extremely professional, and although the final bill was expensive, I'd say it was well worth it.

I found one salad and the dressing was kind of flavorless, then there was a Mediterranean Cauliflower was highly cooked, would have preferred raw organic vegan nongmo/round up, think I'll try to bring my pc if there's another trip to handle my own food

Any time we go here it's a great experience the staff is excellent and polite. I got the peppercorn steak dinner and it was cooked perfectly and was super tender. The hot bread and whipped butter is delightful. The patio was clean and has a nice view of Detroit over the water. They also had some good beers on tap and a full bar. The only thing to remember is that this is an upscale steak restaurant don't plan on spending under $80 CAD for two people.

My wife treated me here for Father's Day earlier this year. I hadn't heard of it at the time but am sure glad this is what she decided. We we seated promptly and given a quick overview of the menu. We ordered a few of their specialty cocktails which were tasty and strong. I chose to go with the pan crusted fillet (salmon I believe) and my wife ordered the top sirloin & Atlantic lobster tail. Both were delicious and fresh as can be. We also ordered a side of fries since we're fry lovers, they were tasty. To top off the meal we ordered the peach smoothy. It was kind of thick but that worked well being that it lasted a while.

Last time I went there, I ordered their baked Brie and it was amazing! If you’re a cheese-lover, I highly recommend getting that as an appetizer. Their steaks, as usual, are perfectly cooked and juicy and pairs great with their garlic mashed potatoes. Really amazing food and good service as well!

So recently I went to the keg (great service like always) but possibly they've hired a new chef because the food this time was a disappointment. I ordered a steak and it was over cooked when I asked for medium rare and since when do they serve a half cooked tomato with a sprinkle of white cheese ???? It didn't taste like parm if thats what they used...

The management caught the issue before it go to our table even only a slight delay. Service like that we will gladly go back anytime. Well worth it great restaurant and staff.

Food is excellent and most of time the service is great. However, this time we had extremely poor service from the manager of all people ! His name is Chris. I come to this location several times a week and brig all my clients and business partners here. That won’t be happening again. I will choose to bring my business to either the Devonshire location or Nero’s at the casino. The manager spent his entire time at the hostess stand, was not addressing issues. We were told there was a wait and yet he sat people he knew ahead. When we brought it up he said they were on the wait that being said we asked the people sitting they said they just sat down. Once he realized this he sat us next and cut other people. I would expect better from a restaurant like this. Dave was excellent as a manager this Chris guy horrible and just lost this location a lot of business.

From my personal experience, the best and, frankly, the only way to enjoy a meal at The Keg is to go to Pizza House at 1000 Essex County Rd 22 instead. Their pizza is of a Legendary caliber matched only by Zeus' beard and Chuck Norris' fist. You have not truly lived, until you have tasted the heavenly pepperoni slices of succulent bliss. America devotes an entire national holiday to pay homage to Pizza House. If you love Freedom, GO TO PIZZA HOUSE!!!

Service is impeccable. They will do what is necessary to make sure you are happy. Unfortunately the last few times I was here the food itself was lacking. The cooks can't seem to perfect a rare steak. This may not be a problem elsewhere but The Keg brand is built on steak. Even if service staff will scratch it from the bill, having to order a steak multiple times to get it cooked properly should not be the norm.

Great food, reasonable prices, cool atmosphere and friendly servers. Two minor negatives: the arrangement of the tables in the dining area make it a little awkward to walk through, and our server, while very friendly, didn't check on us quite as often as we'd prefer. Overall though, a great place.

I had the New York PepperCorn steak. BEST STEAK IVE EVER HAD! I also had a twice baked potatoe which was delicious. For dessert we had we had the Billy Miner Pie...EXCELLENT SELECTION! It was like a Mocha flavored ice cream with chocolate and caramel on top. Service was wonderful and the price for the for was surprisingly inexpensive for the quality! Definitely will be back!

I really enjoy eating at most Kegs but not this one. First of all they seated my son and I at a table that was extremely small and right next to the traffic coming out of the kitchen, so the whole meal I was forced to look at the staffic coming from the back and walking right next to us which did not lend to a nice atmosphere. To make matters worse there was a huge empty table that could easily accommodate six and they put a loud obnoxious couple there all by themselves. Their constant loudness and lack of class, smooching, taking selfies acting like twelve year olds on their first date made the whole experience extremely annoying. I ordered steak and lobster and was served steak and shrimp, I guess lobster and shrimp sound a lot alike. I really miss my Burlington Keg...only thing I do miss about Burlington but it is something

DISAPPOINTED OVER PRICED PORTIONS SMALL IN THE $30 PRICE RANGE There are few tables that may offer a nice ambiance, all the rest make you feel claustrophobic. But the OVER PRICE is still the same whether you face a wall or a window with view. We were a party of six and the waitress brings just 2 breads with butter "on the house" appetizers. So, they can be cheap but the customers can't I am fine with higher prices on a special occasion but this place can't justify it; food lacks the quality and quantity for what you pay. Couldn't eat the fries; it felt I was licking a rock of salt. I had to ask for a another one. My daughter's steak was charcoal - the punishment for asking for "well done". Also, portions are really small

Everywhere, everytime The Keg is The King: great service and food quality at a reasonable $$$ price. How do they do it, what do they do....the result is always amazing. If you'd want a quick, big, fat (meaning large) out of this world stake just order z "Baseball". It's 12oz and comes with a loaded baked potato and a salad. What's extra is the beer.

It was ok. We had a reserved table for dinner with intention to stay there the rest of the night. Big group. For some reason they also allowed another group to book the same space. We were informed about that when we were about to have dessert and had to rush through it. If you order a prime roast be aware your order might come the way they feel like serving it despite your request. Many people at the table who order medium rare ended up with rare prime roasts. So double check if they have your order straight. Apparently two times is not enough. Oh yeah and about the desserts? Nobody was allowed to order it and we were asked to leave as they had to clean the table.

I've been here twice now and I'll continue to return. The service is incredible and worth the drive to Windsor. My first visit I had the sliders with a side salad. The sliders were good but the fresh horseradish stole the show. It had a nice bite and was spicy enough to clear my head and nose. My family went solely for the desert the second time. I had a yummy shrimp cocktail. The mini desserts are a great deal for Americans.

Food is always good. The twice baked potato is definitely yummy and the steak done to your liking. The apps are all amazing! Calamari always on point, baked shrimp, and stuffed mushrooms are my fave. The drinks are good and there’s always drink specials. Billy miner pie is my daughters absolute fave, we were able to buy a whole pie for home to celebrate her birthday. But my fave dessert is the crème brûlée ???? even comes in a mini size! Thats something I wouldn’t order because I always save room for this dessert lol but it’s definitely nice to have that option. Waitress was absolutely amazing ! I wish I remembered her name. Super friendly and accommodating and personable. We talked about her being a new mom, she recently had a son and he was teething so she was very understanding when it came to my 1 year old grandson who is picky, and just all over the place lol she was able to get him to settle down before we received our entrees with his own lil app of veggies, dip and crackers ! Her service definitely helped make my review a 5 star. Highly recommend One more thing, three cheese butter, thank me later. ;)

Upon seeing the menu I initially thought that this was going to be a bad experience. You get one item and everything else is extra. I ordered the Ahi Tuna that came by itself on a bed of rough cut tasteless cabbage. I had asked for the tuna to be cooked medium and it came seared and mostly raw. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and returned with it 15 minutes later with it completely cooked hard to death. I asked for some wasabi dressing to help it but was told that they did not make it. The lack of a real complete meal with the order seems to be OK with these folks, just keep adding what you would like and jacking your bill into outer space. The wait staff is borderline and seem to mostly be disconneted with any pleasurable experience. Oh Joyus Abundus! As you enter this place the ceiling is missing and water was dripping on the foyer. This is not a friendly place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered 12 oz top sirloin cooked Medium and received a steak that was Well done and definitely not 12oz as the person next to me ordered the 6 or 8oz (which was also overcooked) and it was very similar size. The overall experience was good though and the restaurant is nicely renovated. Just let down for the price I paid!

Unexplained wait at the beginning, but hostess was friendly. The ambiance while private, felt diviseve. Shrimp cocktail was good, escargot was good. My issue with the keg is that they won't properly present the steak for you and that's why it will never be a great steakhouse. The wait staff was amazing, although they switched servers back and forth. Also the choices for desserts are meh. Wines are reasonably priced and Martini was delicious.

We are from out of town, and we know what to expect at a Keg..good food, decent service. But what this particular Keg provided was exceptional service, without the really dim lighting and the annoying background music that's always too loud. Kirsten was attentive, funny and seemed to always be there, without being obtrusive and never interrupted our conversations to ask 'everything OK here?' Love Love Love this Keg, and Kirsten.

Great welcome and seating by Isabella, then stellar service by Andrew and the manager, both of whom anticipated every question and checked every detail to make sure all our son’s food was free of cross-contamination. The four of us had a lovely family meal and we will return. Both Andrew and Isabella checked in with us without intrusion (such tact is not a universal skill in the industry) and we left replete and having been very well looked after. 100% satisfied.

I went with my two good friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. I've been many times. The food and service is always very good. This particular time though, was fantastic. I requested alterations to the meal which were all met without hesitation. What made the night so wonderful though, was our waitress Britney. She may be the best server I ever had. Good humored, nice, and she put up with my quarky personality. She was great. To top it all off, she couldn't believe I was turning 50. Which was good because I was only turning 40.

Went for a nice late night bite with coworkers after shift and we were bombarded with rodents crawling under our table. To make matters worse, the manager said it's a normal thing, basically not alarmed at all nor sympathetic in any sort. His exact words were, what want me to go chasing the mice in here, I can't do that. Don't get me wrong, this location is my go to spot for the last year and a half, but after this manager did not make my experience in any way better with the situation we were dealt with I promise you I will never step foot in this establishment. It is a shame, as the keg is supposed to hold high standard.

I've been here plenty of times we travel from Birmingham Mi to eat here for their choice cuts of meat and great seating and service. If you don't know by now great steakhouses are expensive but they aren't the most expensive. So most people on here need to stick with outback. As far as deserts that's not what this place is known for.

Geeat food and service although more expensive than i recall. Had the pistachio salmon. Was cooked a bit more than i asked, but was good anyway. Wife had the prime rib, which was very good. Kids had a burger and chicken strips and were happy, almost as much as with dessert.

We had a great date night at the keg on riverside Dr. I had the fillet mignon with baked potato and my date had NY strip steak with seasonal veggies and both were 10/10 delicious. Tender, cooked to perfection and very flavourful. Our server was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I can't remember her name, but it was Saturday August 14th in the section by the register in the little hallway thing. So if you read this awesome waitress with the blonde hair, you're awesome! Anyways we were celebrating an anniversary and she brought us a delicious ice cream cake. Would definitely go again. Thanks for a good dinner!

Parking is questionable but not a deal breaker. At the riverside view of Detroit. Summer time patio is awesome setting to enjoy with a love one. Been coming to this restaurant for a few years. No respect for the elderly what so ever. They seated my wife and I and my 80 year old mother in law in the sun. There were other tables in the shade but the manager refused to move us leaving my mother in law sweating up a storm. The identical table behind us in the shade remained empty for an hour yet we couldn't have it. Needless to mention it took two and a hours to get our meal and they weren't that busy only to have my mother in law's fish come out raw. The manager should be ashamed of himself for being as rude as he was. I only hope you get the same experience when you're 80!!! Shame on you!!!

Yea, this place has unlimited bread if you ask nicely so it's at least a 4.5 rating in my book. I ordered the escargot to seem fancy to everyone else, turns out that dish is actually amazing! Tiny morsels of snail stuffed in mushrooms with decadent oils, crusted in light crumbs? I actually got extra bread to mop up all of the oil. That made it 5 stars. Also, the waitress didn't judge me at all for doing it. 6/5 stars. The Keg Steakhouse + Bar. Come here for your birthday, leave here learning that you love snail and have no shame in eating 5 sides of bread.

However at the end of the meal my dinner date and I witnessed a waitress put her finger into a frozen drink to fish something out after several attempts with a straw were unsuccessful. Super gross. Don't order any frozen drinks on their patio unless you like unsanitary random fingers mixed in it.

Came to celebrate a birthday here and the service was excellent! Drinks, appetizers, food, and dessert came at a great pace. I got the filet mignon keg classic and it did not disappoint. Only complaint is that the mushrooms were super salty!

Place has very slow service. Despite the restaurant being half empty right now our waitress disappears never to been seen again until the bill Was Due. Inside the 1 hour and 20 min dinner we could not get a second drink. Near the end she offered to refill and another drink round then forgot. The steak was okay, but the Thai chicken was freezer burnt. I would suggest sticking with steaks, despite the fact that two tables next to us had to send them back to be cooked more, but that’s not the end of the world I guess. At the end of the day the manager removed the costs of the chicken dish. Staff were polite and pleasant. But it’s really hard to leave with good feelings about a place when the night goes like this.

Ordered two steak dinners with salad. Started eating salad and two soups came, thought it was awkward since we didn’t order soup, when almost finished soup they said those went to the wrong table, they asked if we liked them and then added it to the bill. Hmmmmm Finally the main course comes our steak dinners! Half way through, I noticed something that looked like a hair on my steak, I turned on my flash light on my phone to have a better gander at this thought and it was a wire from there steal brush. When the waiter noticed me observing the meal with my flashlight, they came up to me and asked if everything was ok. I told her, I think my free meal has a steak wire inbeded in my steak. She asked me if I wanted her to remove the charge off the bill for that part of the meal. I told her I’m not paying any of it since my meal was ruined. Can’t inmagine paying 150$ for that? What were they thinking? I hate dark gloomy restaurants thank god for my sharp eye to notice this. Can only imagine all the extras added unnoticed items that are not suppose to be on the menu. I thought those darn wire brushes were band????

crap service with crap food. My lady and I went to the Keg on Riverside Drive last weekend and neither one of us were even remotely impressed. I ordered the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes, while the lady ordered the sirloin steak with a stuffed potato a jumbo lobster tail. we ended up also getting the garlic mushrooms which turned out to be the only decent thing to eat out of the entire meal. The steak was surprisingly bad as was the mashed potatoes, and the cooked green beans were borderline not edible. My lady friend took 1 bite of the lobster tail and had me try it, sure enough it was pretty horrible too, over cooked and rubbery with almost no flavour what so ever. The bill came to $83 but the waitress rounded up the bill to $88 when i went to pay (and yes i still tipped her on top of that). I highly recommend NOT going to this place. Jose's Noodle Factory is a MUCH better choice, better service, better food, and better environment. I will never be visiting the Keg again, and will make sure i let my friends know how low quality of a place it is.

No doubt the food is good. I liked my salmon with vegetables. I wish the portion of meal could be larger, may be another slice of fish. I felt hungry even after finishing my meal. The outdoor seating arrangement is good, though a bit noisy due to continuous traffic. They are following COVID-19 protocols with social distancing, sanitizers etc. It took me for a while to find the parking and it was not free. Was there for a party of 10 tonight. My 1st time at the Keg and was built up and ready for an amazing steak. Had the Neptune mushroom and the Sirloin Oscar and was really disappointed. Appetizer was meh. Asked for medium steak, got medium well and of course was then tough. Garlic mashed potatoes were glue-y and appeared to have a skin on the where they had dried out and cracked????? and the bernaise sauce was sour. I said nothing as it was a party and I didn't want to make a fuss, so I can't complain about the service. The waitress was good, no complaints.

A great steakhouse experience! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is very accomodating in terms of seating with extra room in their beautiful bar area. My steak tasted perfect given the value and our server was attentive and friendly. There is about as much variety you would expect from a steakhouse, consisting of a lot of steak with some seafood as well as other great apperizers. I went to the Keg this past Saturday and remembered that yes this is definitely a chain. The server was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Cocktails were okay. We ordered the baked garlic shrimp appetizer which was no more than 8 tiny tiny shrimp in garlic butter with mixed cheese melted over top. The bread that came with it was not good at all. We also ordered the calamari which was over fried and soaking in a pool of oil. Both appetizers were nothing special. We ordered a Cesar salad, which was okay, but again nothing special. The dressing did not taste homemade. I ordered the sesame tuna entree and the tuna was one of the worst cuts I ever ever had. The salad was just a bag of mixed coleslaw- I’m sure not made in house- with a sesame dressing. All in all not worth the crazy prices. I should have known better !

This place is usually really good, I've been here several time in the past with no problem at all. This previous experience on the other hand was terrible. I understand they didn't have any control over this but the fire alarm was constantly going off for 70 percent of our dining experience. The staff did not apologize for this what so ever and I thought it was very rude of them how they handled the situation. I accepted the loud noise of the fire alarm because usually the food is so great it would've been worth it. The bread that we got seemed to be a lot harder then usual, and wasn't even warm. I ordered a classic filet mignon cooked medium. My girlfriend also got the same, this was her first time being here and that's what I recommended. Both steaks were chared, they both had a very burnt taste. For $40 steaks I wouldn't expect this inexperienced mistake. I'm never one to complain and being with my girlfriend I wouldn't want to embarrass her, so I left without saying anything to the server.

My friends and I went to the restaurant yesterday and I found a fruit fly in my drink after I took a sip. The waitress did not apologize right away and when she finally did she sounded so casual as if she forgot to bring me a napkin or something. For a customer who just paid money to drink fly soaked drink you would expect more genuineness in the apology. Also no compensation offered at all. My friends noticed that the waitress looked annoyed when I told her about the fly as if I caused her inconvenience. The same waitress later slammed my drink on the table super loud and did not even say thank you after I paid and tipped her, the attitude was so intense that it would poison the air around her. If you ever go to this place please watch out for a medium height blonde waitress, not particularly good looking:), I didn't even want to order another drink because I wouldn't be surprised at all if she spits in my drink considering how passive aggressive and hostile she was. The food was great though, loved the french onion soup, should have told management that all credits and tips go to the cook.

Walked in yesterday evening after 8:30pm for a table for 2 on their patio, was told the two open empty tables were only for walk-in parties of 4. Not sure how many other walk-ins they were going to get that night when last call was just over 2 hours away, but good luck using that business practice to turn people away. Awesome location and great food!!! Been there multiple times and never disappointed. The staff is great. The place is pretty popular does get busy even on weeknights so I would say make a reservation well ahead of time if you can. Food quality is spot on and the taste is consistent. I tend to get the NY striploin with double baked potato and I get the meal cooked exactly the same way every time. It's amazing.

I’ve visited the ‘Riverside’ Keg several times - indoor and outdoor. Always a great steak cooked exactly how you like it. I like that this location is always changing the menu up slightly to keep it feeling new. I love sitting on the sidewalk patio - great views of Detroit, lakers going up and down the river or just people watching.

Well the salad was good. Unfortunately the dinner, not so much. Ordered the teriyaki sirloin with Keg fries which sounds good but are just regular fries that are so covered in salt as to make them inedible. they were barely lukewarm when our dinner plates arrived an hour after we ordered. The steak was slightly overcooked but the Teriyaki flavoring was reminiscent of a dollar store baste with more salt. My wife's halibut was neither tasty nor fresh so it wasn't finished. There is nothing premium about the Keg except the price. I consider myself easy to please but I won't be fooled again there.

This place seriously deserves some Michilen stars! The dining room opens at 4 pm, but we showed up at 2 pm. They said they would see what they could do. We ended up having a private dining experience. I ordered the tomato and burrata. The sea salt on it was just stellar! I also had the seafood trio. Wow! The shrimp were grilled to absolute perfection. The crab was huge and very meaty. The lobster with the butter was awesome! There was rice with cheese and mushrooms which was so yummy I could have just had that. One person in my party immediately asked if we could come back tomorrow. Worth the trip to Canada just for this meal. Well done!!!!!

The food tonight was delicious as usual, but the service left to be desired. My husband and I hadn't been to The Keg in about two years. We were very surprised and disappointed that we had to wait an extra 15 minutes for a table when we had reservations. Our reservations were at 6:30pm on Saturday night and we were led to our table at 6:45pm. Every couple who walked in with a reservation had to wait at least that amount of time. We both found this absurd. We have never had to wait that long anywhere with a reservation. They also had way too many hostesses doing nothing at the entrance. To continue, our waitress wasn't the friendliest and took a really long time to come clear our plates even though she walked by many times. To top it off, they ran out of parking tickets so we had to wait 5 minutes on our way out. Running a busy restaurant takes a lot of organization and planning. Whoever is running things at the downtown Windsor location needs to tweak things a little. In the past, I've chosen to go to The Keg and spend a lot of money for the delicious food and the great service. My husband and I were quite disappointed and probably won't return. Windsor has some amazing local restaurants that surpass what we experienced this evening by far. On a positive note, hats off to the chefs! Delicious dinner!

We were not pleased with our visit to Keg Riverside Windsor The steak was very tender but cold, the garlic mashed potatoes were cold and so were the vegetables even though they were brought out on a warm plate We asked for extra butter and steak sauce, it took forever to get it The reason we did not send back our food is because you hear alot of horror stories when you do Very disappointed This location had always been our favourite So sad as we have always had great service and meals here

Best Restaurant Downtown Windsor. Steaks cooked perfectly cooked steaks, Bone in rib steak is a must try. What ever you order will be delicious. Dessert Billy miner pie is heaven a mocha chocolate ice cream pie. The Keg will not disappoint

Very good food - although the validation did not work for parking at the end of the night. We did it wrong and put it into the parking meter at the elevators and went back to tell them it didn't work, to be told it was only going to work at the actual exit. We we're a party with 3 cars and none of them worked at the gate rither so we each had to pay for the parking. Even after instruction.

Excellent steakhouse in downtown Windsor. I had the prime rib medium rare. This was cooked to perfection and served with a side of asparagus. Steak was paired with a red Zinfandel which was priced fairly and served by the glass. Overall, good customer experience with good food and a nice environment.
