You know that we don't usually stop to set tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Lebanese restaurant.
One of my fave shawarma places. The meat is very fresh and juicy . Sauces sre amazing and the staff are so friendly.
Zero customer service. Barely any chicken in the sandwich. Cost 8 bucks, no value for money. Seems like the worker/owner was bored off life. I am never coming here again.
This was one of our favorite spots and on a recent trip to Windsor we stopped in to grab our favorite shawarma... Unfortunately, it wasn't very good. The chicken was dry, no sauce and the service was not the same without the owner present.
Horrible attitude ????, they were good in the past, but the service has gone horrible. I ordered a shwarma plate , the person who made it didn't wear gloves while preparing my food, did not warm up the food, the chicken tested a day old, the salad was not fresh. Overall a very bed experience, will not go back again.
Good Shawarma place in downtown Windsor. Best place to get food after midnight in Windsor if you do not want fast food. Staff is friendly and nice. Find a parking spot can be tough My first recommendation past midnight in Windsor! :)
Came in at 12am, ask for a plate, potato Nd rice is reheated from the microwave, chicken and beef is dry, salad feels old
Shawarma Palace used to be the best food. Not today. We ordered 4 shawarmas all 4 were wrong. The potatoes were old and dried out, the kibbie was bad. I bit into the kibbie and the inside was slimy. Hoping we don't get food poisoning. This was the worst food and when I called all I got was ignorant rude answers. Don't waste your money!!!
Honestly everytime I'm there I just can't breathe till I'm done eating. So many options to combine food and drink. The atmosphere is calm and quiet. Don't rush eating, enjoy the fact that you sit down and enjoy faster food.
Always consistent flavours and great shawarma!
Used to be the best place in the city. What a downfall. Shame. The rice looked grey and i felt really weird after the chicken shawarma. I used to go so often but i swore this place off after my last experience.
THESE ARE ALL BOUGHT REVIEWS. The food quality is horrible. It's like 7/11 pizza. It's cheap on price and quality, tastes blend, and only fills you up if You have the stomach for it. Refer to my picture. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and It must of have less than 50 grams of meat on it. You be the judge. Let alone the man asks me "do you want everything on it?" I answer "yes", and by everything his assumption was Lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Lol.. I ask "could I get Hummus, tabouli, Tahini".. etc.. He's answer was "I already put garlic in your shawarma, the tahini is for falafel".....Okay.. So if you've never heard about Tahini in your shawarma wrap or plate you're in the wrong business. Despite of the purpose your sauce is used for it is one of your condiments offered to your costumers, and why do you even question someone's preference? No wonder the place was empty during lunch hour. Employees in the near by businesses know better to go to Pizza Pizza next door.
Haven't been here for 6 years and it is still my FAVOURITE shawarma place in the city of great food. Absolutely delicious veggies and the pita brings the entire shawarma together. If I died I think this would be heaven.
I don't go anywhere else for shawarma as it is the best place in the city! Staff are always awesome and food is always fresh. My favourite is the beef shawarma, authentic Lebanese taste and always feel welcome every time I step in! What are you waiting for go try it now!
Always go there. Their chicken platter is amazing. Bit overpriced but don’t mind to pay bit extra for the good quality food .
Dine in
It’s a good place, always busy. The food is great. I took the star off because their menu is not clear, no shawarma/wrap price is shown, only the combos.
Always ready the reviews on the place and I have to say this is my go to. The food is fresh, made to order, friendly staff. Great prices. Seating area is not to bad, it's clean and well maintained. Great place to grab a quick to go meal.
Service is quite slow especially considering that all of the food is prepared ahead of time. When we were there, there was no one in front of us. But it still took us like 10 minutes to order. The facilities are very clean and their food handling practices are good. I'm not a fan of microwaving the potatoes on styrofoam plates, but that's how they do it. The food is flavorful, a little overpriced. Portions are acceptable.
Good portions and reasonable prices. They can improve the meet quality.
Great food, great service and great people.
I have been here a couple times usually when I visit Windsor I'll stop by here. Last time I came the pita was dry there was barely anything in it, the people are nice but the food is not that good. I had a chicken shawarma it was bland and the pita cracked right away. I had a bad experience.
it is a wonderful little place near Caesar palace... We literally walked 6 minutes to the place... The restaurant was extremely clean and welcoming... The employee was wonderful and he made our shawarma sandwiches to perfection... The price is very reasonable comparing all of the other restaurants... The taste is extremely unique and out-of-this-world delicious... I would not hesitate to go there every time for shawarma... without any doubt and Jim in downtown and the walking distance from the hotel... Thank you for the amazing sandwich.
Been coming here for years, the Shawarma is always fresh off the spit. Some of the sides are served cold or microwaved your , but the sides still very tasty, flavoursome, traditional and good for lunch.
Shawarma's are pretty good but the potatoes would be so much better if they didn't have them pre-cooked and then re-heated in the microwave. The styrofoam they reheat them in often melts at the bottom and some potatoes are hot while other are fridge cold. Also I agree with others in that the staff aren't friendly. One guy was chopping onions in the back, walked up to see the three of us standing there, then went back to chopping onions as if we weren't even there.
Very delicious shawarma just for $6????
One of the best shawarma places.
Food was decent. We sat at the table in the back, group of 5, and someone had thrown up on the floor next to us and the staff memeber I informed said "I'll take care of it in a minute" we moved tables and ultimatley left after about 5 or so minutes because no body bothered to clean it. Grossed me right out.
The owner talked up his shawarma. First time was okay second time the potatoes weren't fully cooked and sandwiches was subpar.
Their beef shawarmi drastically lost its quality in terms of size( less meat) and taste in relation to the higher price as compared to other shawarma joints around town.
Awesome place! We walked in and were greeted by some of the absolute nicest people. The food was fresh, tasted great, and had a great environment. Prices were really good for the food we got. Definitely recommend and will be stopping in again
This place used to be sooooo good. The last 4 times, in a ROW that I have eaten there, was awful. 1) Chicken was so dry i couldn't even finish it. 2) and 3). Both times that forgot to add the garlic sauce that was asked for on the side. 4) Was given the WRONG rice, and once again the chicken was dry and cold. Shouldnt have to drive back to fix mistakes, so simply wont waste my time eating here anymore. Can easily walk up the street to one of the how many other shawarma shops? Which really clearly the staff care about that, about as much as they clearly care about their customers.
Meal type
Awesome food every time and very clean and hygenic. Highly recommended. They have the best shawarma in the city along with kabobgy. The only problem is finding a parking spot sometimes.
Dinner
Absolutely disgusting. The worst shawarma I've ever had in my life period. Save yourself and don't been bother.
Too expensive for a fast-food bite (expect not less than $15 for a plate). Quality of food was below average. Nothing tasted fresh.
This is the only place I will go for Shawarma. It is usually fantastic. Depends on who is working. But they use fresh ingredients, all their food and sauces is prepared in-house and they are usually fast and friendly. It really does depend on who is working that day, but Steve is great as are the other owners and the more experienced staff. Their garlic sauce is literally the first thing I crave when someone mentions shawarma. It's why no other place lives up to their rep.
Hands down in the top 2 in windsor. They’ve upgraded the food, and the new short guy, and younger guy know how to make a shawarma worth the money, the garlic is the most flavour full, and the way they make the potatoes now is amazing, i know they microwave it, but never have i tasted microwaved potatoes that moist and soft. I like that they dont complain and roll their eyes when u ask for extra garlic or veggies and sauces
The amazing thing is they open till 4 AM, I really like the schedule. You can come here to order a fresh foods in midnight or after night club . Many foods option here, but the shawarma taste just ok,no too bad,no so good. Not the best one in Windsor. Because it's in downtown area, so hard to find a parking lot.
Take out
When we are downtown and want a quick bite to eat, Shawarma Palace is a great option. They have a good selection on the menu and you can eat inside now, if you choose. I have tried the shawarma wraps - chicken, beef and mixed. All of them are very good. You get a large portion for the cost. If you walk a few blocks you can have dinner or lunch at the river with a water view of Detroit. Parking just to stop for lunch or dinner will be a challenge. There are a number of spots out front on the street, but will probably be full. We usually walk to the restaurant.
WORST SHAWARMA EVER!!!!! No taste, workers didn’t wear gloves, I’m sure the meat is expired and i would give it a negative rate if I could. Worst experience ever
Service
The old man, which accepted paymen and also washing dishes at the back, has long and not clean nails. He took my bread without gloves, pressed it with both hands and after folded in paper and added to my tray. I exchanged that bread with the other worker (younger guy with good manners). Food was good but some beef tasted like vinegar from marinade - probably not fully cooked. Also you need to ask for hot sauce, tahini sauces and hummus, peper because they didn't even offer that when in all others locations it's included. Rice was reheated in microwave. Although, place is very clean.
Food was excellent love their shawarma n their fried mini n falafel. Mhmm mhmm good. Young guy there had an attitude wasn't very pleasant besides him perfect rating
Terrible service, employees were very rude, beef was more like tuna.
Absolutely worst shawarma i have tried in my life. No way this guys know anything about making food. I paid more than 50$ for the worst food experience ever. If i have the power to do so i would close this place tomorrow, and the 5 stars reviews are all fake.
The potatoes had so much oil in them I thought I was taking a bite into a piece of butter, wouldn’t recommend unless you want To get type 2 diabetes
Good Shwarma (though not authentic Lebanese), the chef was in a hurry or in bad mood, not welcoming at all.
This place used to be alright back in the day downtown. Now, just beyond trash. Horrible food. Trashy food, trashy people, but hey, it is downtown Windsor.
What a shame this place used to be one of the best in the city. I haven’t been to this place in a while I went there today got a Shawarma plate they barely put any Shawarma on top of the veggies and the Shawarma was very dry and old never stepping a foot in that place again.
Has to be the worst shawarma I've ever tried. Beef had a weird taste and was very dry. Used to be great shawarma until the new owners took over.
Good food .... sat outside at the restaurants picnic covid tables .... good staff .
Not wearing mask or gloves Good falafel wrap. Falafel can be little fresh. White sauce and hot sauce top ons are a must if you like it to be little flavourful and spicy.
We love coming here! Best shawarma I’ve ever had. We’ve lived in many different cities and have tried to find places that compare to Shawarma Palace, but they always seem to come up short. The taste of the food here is always great, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly.
Great food, low prices, pleasant atmosphere. Never fails when my wife and i come here for a quick lunch. Mixed shawarma is the way to go. 2 thumbs up
Man, these guys can really cook. Absolutely nothing I could pick at regarding quality and authenticity whatsoever. Only problem is the portions. Pretty surprised how little you get for the price ratio. I got a soup, and a chicken platter with extra chicken and you can look at portions and see for yourself. Bought an extra chicken shawarma to compensate and in total came to $35. ???? Enough places with exact quality and premium taste for much better prices. Especially for $35 I shouldn’t be able to walk from too much food.
Love both their chicken and beef shawarma wraps. Fresh, flavourful and great value. Staff very friendly.
Always delicious ????
What used to be the best shawarma place in town has become the worst under the new owner/management. I gave it 3 chances hoping they were going to improve, but no hope. The sandwich is half the size of what it used to be and it tastes bland. Last time I went there I had an upset stomach for nearly 12 hours. What a shame. Windsor is so ripe now for a good shawarma place.
Not bad and will go back for a second chance. They had a problem with giving out the right orders but we fixes that after. just hope we paid the price we ordered.
Worst Shawarma I have ever tested plus they rip you off when it is take away. I ordered two shawarma plates with rice and there was hardly any rice. First time I have ever encountered food scam. The chicken shawarma doesn't look like it has been marinated, it tastes like Turkey. Stay away!
Very less quantity of filling inside shawarma, as if they gonna build properties with that savings. Very sad to see.
Best shawarmas in windsor. Good and fast service even when there is a line. The flavor is consistent, I have never received anything but an amazing shawarma. And the price is on point. Could eat them everyday.
Not very impressed with the food, we would consider this a “fast food” version of Mediterranean fare. The falafel was very greasy and bland. The restaurant was ok with cleanliness, but nothing to write home about.
went in with a few buddies and when we went to pay he yelled at the person in front of us and then proceeded to give all of us the wrong food. would not recommend. terrible service!!!
My family and I loved this place. It was a spur of the moment decision because my children and I have never eaten shawarma before. My husband insisted that we would enjoy it and he was correct. The restaurant itself is pretty basic. No extravagant decor but it was very clean and well-lit. The prices were very reasonable as well. The chicken shawarma was fantastic. I liked the pickled vegetables that were inside as well as the sauce. My son really liked their salad dressing, a light vinaigrette. This is a short walk from our hotel on the waterfront. I highly recommend trying this restaurant.
Meal type
He asked 3 times if we wanted chicken, we said yes 3 times and he put beef in both lol didn't notice until we walked out because another person had us pay while they were being made. The beef was mushy.
Best shawarma in windsor. Been going here for years and no other place compares to shawarma palace. Always a great experience, and even perfect after a night of drinking.
First time customer last week. Walked in ordered a Falafel Wrap to go for my lunch (cost $6.00) and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. When I got back to work and ate the wrap each bite was delicious. Great staff, service, price and food. Going back today to get 2 wraps for lunch. Thank you for great food and service!
Lunch
I got Falafel today and it was so bad and they did not even heat it up on the toaster.
This is my go to place for Shawarma, price is reasonable and food is very tasty. And I love their garlic sauce.
I use to come to this place in my college days.....i would have here almost 5 days a week.....yesterday i tried it and never gonna comw back......good luck
Overpriced . The shawarma both the beef and chicken were almost tasteless , barely spiced and very dry
Service
Customer service is always 11/10 and the food is always fresh and a must have for my weekend adventure DT lol
One of the best Shawarma places in Windsor. Been going a long time. They treat me like family so much so that they have given me an Arabic name and they use it everytime I walk through the doors--Sayeed.
Come here to be ripped off and fed dry shawarma. This dude this evening tried to charge me 70 dollars for 4 shawarmas and 2 water bottles. He then told me to ask forgiveness from god because I corrected him. Absolute joke of an establishment. Warning be careful they don’t scam you, they will take advantage if they sense you’ve had a drink. Garbage food and even worse service. WILL NEVER BE BACK. Seriously if you want shawarma go to damasqi or Farooj king..
Not good taste Like subway only
The only shawarma places I'll go to. Incredibly clean and fast
Shawarma Palace is able to accommodate your shawarma needs and more. The quality service and ingredients used made an unforgettable experience for me and my colleagues. I greatly enjoyed the price of the special meal, and left more than satisfied with that.
Food was okay. I ordered the shawarma plate with salad and rice. Before anything. Keep in mind I paid 16.97 for my order. The rice went straight from behind the glass to the microwave (gross). It was topped with beef and chicken. The chicken is skin on FYI. I’ll give the food 3/5 The problem was behind the counter. There were two dudes fighting each other and cussing all while there was a family with two children in the restaurant. One guy claimed “I run the business.” And continued to cuss.
By far the best shawarma place in windsor and Ive tried most of them. Shawarma palace has become my go to shawarma spot when ever I am in Windsor. Their garlic sauce, lentil rice, vegtables and high quality meat set them apart from most other places.
This place used to be the best....bought a veggie plate 4 things that were supposed to be on the plate they didn't put on....and my shawarma was dry with no taste....can't believe such a great place that has gone bad ..under new ownership.. ..very disapointed...lost a good customer.
Love this place!!! Best shawarma in the city! Best garlic sauce in the city too...i love their everthing!!!
The. Best. Shawarma. Ever. I said it once and I'll say it again and again, this is the place. I have looked far and wide (Ontario and Quebec lol) and tried to find a shawarma place as good as this and I have yet to find anything close! The chicken is good, the beef is good but my favourite is the lamb, which I think they only have on weekends and has to be all dressed! The garlic spread is the reason though, it's so creamy and delicious, I always ask for one on the side. Much love guys! Keep up the great quality!
Overpriced food. A large fattoush salad is priced at 8.99 on their menu. Once I added chicken to the salad, my final total was $16. They hardly put chicken on the salad as they fill it with lettuce. A platter costs just as much as the salad. I would highly recommend nearby shawarma places for a better value.
Always buy two, one for tonight and one for lunch tomorrow. No tomatoes for tomorrow's shwarma it will make it soggy.
