Ignore the hates and the Nay Sayers. This place is an absolute gem. I have been coming here for about 13 years now.. it is a guaranteed stop whenever I am back in Windsor. The Pad Thai is one of my favorite dishes here. And like most Thai restaurants it is different than moat other places. My top choice here would habe to be the Peanut Sauce Chicken.. I have never had this dish made better anywhere else. The rest of the menu is good too Ginger Beef, Hot and Sour Soup.. you name it.. it is good.. the best drink offering was the Thai ice tea but unfortunately they stopped serving it years ago.. maybe this review will convince them to bring it back... final thoughts just eat here.. if you don't like it don't blame basil court for your lack of good taste!

Pad Thai should be called "Pad Ketchup". She warned me 3x times that it was with tomato sauce, but it was literally just noodles and TOMATO KETCHUP !!!! Nothing Thai or no other spices - JUST KETCHUP !!! $12 for Noodles, Ketchup, Peanuts, and a little meat. Absolutely the worst excuse for Thai food by the nice and polite Chinese ppl. Thai ppl would be ashamed of that cheap spag bol Ketchup rubbish.

Prices are decent for Canada but the food isn't that great. I do enjoy the vegetable pad Thai with added tofu though. I have gone back a few times for this. And the beer is decently priced again for Canada. So in summary if you find yourself trapped in Windsor you'll find there aren't exactly a lot options for dining out so you might as well try this place as its the only one i've actually gone back to (but don't bother with other dishes!) Be aware that it is down a creepy looking staircase but its perfectly fine once you get down to the restaurant itself.

One of my all time favourite restaurants in Windsor. Having worked my way through a lot of the menu, I've never been disappointed. My favourite is to order any of the vegetable dishes and add tofu. They have some of the best tofu in town! It's always crispy and delicious.

I've been coming here with my wife for more than 5 years and no other pad Thai we've had has been comparable. While the location can be a little inconvenient to access during heavy downtown traffic it is well worth it. Don't let the dated look of the interior mislead you, the majority of their business is take-out so if you do eat in there will be lots of space and a quiet/relaxing atmosphere. While the food is great, we are always happy to see the wonderful staff here. If you become a regular they will recognize you by your order and take the time to see how you're doing. Really lovely people who clearly work very hard to deliver the experience they do.

I love this restaurant, the Veggie Pad Thai is my go-to dish every time, I choose extra spicy and they do make it the best out of all the restaurant I've tried! Prices are competitive, although the restaurant is in the basement, I give it a 4 start out of 5. Will continue to visit. thanks!

Thai food is probably the best you're going to get in Windsor, although the bar isn't set overwhelmingly high. There are better options within a short drive in Ferndale Michigan if you have a passport and don't mind the border. Service has its ups and downs, food is above average.

One of our favourite places to eat! Thai Spring Rolls, Coconut Chicken Soup, Pad Thai and Spicy Thai Noodles are our go-to menu items but you really can't go wrong whatever you order! The price is phenomenal for the quality and amount of food you get, one plate of pad thai could easily feed two people! Leftovers are always nice! Service is fast and friendly, don't let the decor make you shy away, the place is clean! Perhaps not "fine-dinning" but the price is just FINE with me!

Ordered the chicken pad Thai and sweet and sour chicken . I was expecting to eat something amazing from all the reviews I read, but it missed the mark by a long shot. The chicken pad Thai, was overly sweet and tasted like ketchup. It had this disgusting sour after taste that reminded me of the taste you have In your mouth after puking. Just awful. The sweet and sour chicken literally had Ike 6 small pieces of chicken in it. It was 80% bell peppers and other vegetables. The sauce was very watery and also tasted very similar to a ketchup / tomato salsa. Also, very awful. I was really hoping to enjoy this food but unfortunately I don't think I will be giving this place another chance.

In my Opinion, the best restaurant food I had ever had in my whole entire life. My favorite is the 114 on the menu, if I'm not mistaken it's called the crispy noodles that comes with sweet and sour sauce with veggies and pineapples and the meat of your choice. If you're vegan, you can request without meat that's what I do. The food is amazing, I swear when I say everything on the menu is amazingly delicious. I do not live in Windsor, Ontario; I live in Ottawa, and everytime I come down to Windsor to visit family, this is the only restaurant that I specifically go to. I highly recommend this restaurant and trust me, you'll fall in love with this place. Plus, the staff are very kind and friendly.

We waited for our food for almost 30 minutes and it wasnt busy at all. There's like 3 tables. When we received our appetizer platter after 30minutes or so it was a cold appetizer platter. We waited for another 20mins for our food to come out. Food is mediocre. Servers were really pleasant and helpful.

Love this hole in the wall. Pricing is inexpensive, service is generally pretty quick. I also don’t think this place has ever been busy when I’ve gone so makes for a cosy intimate atmosphere. I’ve noticed some comments saying one of the better locations for Thai, but I’d go as far as saying the best place for Thai in Windsor. Arguably I’m a creature of habit and always get the same few dishes and the menu is huge so perhaps I’m not getting the full experience. The downtown location makes parking a bit of a nuisance though, but I won’t fault the rating over that.

The food was very average. We are Thai food lovers and all the Cashew Chicken was was stir fry in sauce. Absolutely the worst atmosphere ever. A dingy basement with half the lights left off. Probably best as I am sure it is to hide something. You could barely see in the bathroom. The state of the fish tank only added to the depressing atmosphere. My son felt sorry for them and just wanted to leave.

I got the Pad Thai from there yesterday and got extremely sick the next day. The sauce on the noodles tasted like canned tomato paste. When I think of Pad Thai, I think of peanut sauce, not tomato paste. I went to the clinic and the physician laughed when I told him I ate at Basil court. The doctor's exact words were "Well you should have known not to eat there. What did you expect?"

Right off the bat the musty smell was off putting. Ambiance was non existent, the space is vast but empty - three tables of customers including my party of 1 on a weekday night. I ordered yellow curry seafood, which came after 25 mins with way too much stale potatoes. Everything acceptable but nothing spectacular.

Ordered the pad Thai take out from there and got food poisoning. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken, shrimp, and deep fried tofu. It was mostly noodles with a light ketchup sauce on it. Later on in that day I realized I had food poisoning. I was puking up Pad Thai for the next two days. I will never go there again unless I want a bowel cleanse.

Overall really like the price of the food was very affordable. But I personally didn’t really like the food didn’t have enough flavor. Also some of the food was over cooked And dry. As well as the customer service was not the best when I asked what was one of the popular items on the menu did not get a straight answer. But it was a very nice quiet space to eat.

They have a good selection for vegetarians and very big portions for the price. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Great deals for lunch, though this hidden gem is in the basement it's worth the trek down the marble stairs. Sometimes busy during lunch time, recommend ordering ahead if you are in a rush, never had an issue modifying a meal or asking for a substitution, been eating here for 15 plus years
