So good! The food was delicious with lots of flavour and spice. Had green curry chicken and it was the bomb. Had a nice kick to the curry. Rice was cooked perfectly and had a nice quantity/variety of vegetables. I felt full, but not bloated after eating. And honestly the people working there are sooo kind and friendly. Always smiling. Much appreciated and I'd rather give this place my business over other local places that seem to have a sour attitude. Thumbs up!!!

Gotta have the #62 with chicken over steamed rice. This dish will CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Not the nicest decor, but the flavors bursting from this authentic thai menu MORE than make up for it! Great service. Friendly owners. One of my personal faves! They also do takeout. Great choice for movie night at home.

I ordered the Pad Woon Sen and my partner ordered the Beef with Oyster Sauce. Both dishes took over 30 minutes to come out, when we were 1 of 4 tables being served. The Pad Woon Sen was watery and the noodles were overcooked. The seafood was rubbery and overdone. The Beef with Oyster Sauce was bland but not terrible. They need more waitresses or a better system of taking peoples orders and bringing out their food. At the end of the night when we were ready to pay no one came to pick up our check so we had to get the attention of the waitress from the back of the kitchen to assist us in paying our bill. Hoping our next experience will be better and this was just a bad night.

Went here with friend with Celiac disease. This used to be one of their favourite restaurants... Boy was it a disappointment. Prices were high, food was strangely seasoned. The entire restaurant was empty at lunch time. It wasn't "bad" but it sure wasn't good. I will not be back.

Tried their Pad Thai and it was incredibly sweet. Hard to eat, really. The place is lovely and service very polite so I didn't want to make a fuss about it. The food is expensive comprared to other Thai restaurants and the portion. Not sure if I will give it another try.

I’ve recently ordered for delivery through Door Dash. The flavour of the traditional Thai dishes are authentic and very good. However, the skewers/kabobs were dry and flavourless. Similarly the vegetable dish I ordered - which wasn’t specifically a Thai dish - was bland and over-cooked. Portion sizes were fair but not large. However, this said, I’ve given 4 stars for the traditional Thai dishes alone. They’re delicious! Stick with those and you can’t go wrong.

Best Panang Currey (real one not red Currey labeled Panang) and best spring rolls with fish sauce Garbage pad Thai.....may be they should dry it up a bit it's noodles not sauce mixed noodles....feels like they already mixed sauce in it without my asking for it......taste is still ok though

IF you've been to Thailand this is 3 star. It's authentic Thai food for sure, but not fantastic quality. IF you're not fussy, it's a good alternative and a good fix for Asian food.

we have been there with an acquaintance previously a few times for lunch - which was always OK, - however, yesterday's dinner (soup #12, salad #24) was a huge disappointment -, so we are done - no more. Aside from that, the restaurant lacks atmosphere and ambiance, thus is rather austere and uninviting. Service is friendly and efficient. Though, not a good idea to start sweeping floors while patrons are still eating.

The food here is as close to authentic as you can get in Canada. The Thai iced tea is on point and service is fast. This is definitely a go to restaurant when making a dinner decision is hard.

We ordered just two items pad Thai and fried rice. The vegetables on both were uncooked, and slightly cold. The food had no taste what so ever. We decided to dump half way through and get something else to eat. Also the bean sprouts and cabbage seem to be rotten, not something I had expected any restaurant to serve.

Leela Thai has moved from their long held spot on Johnson to an unassuming strip mall on George St. Actually thought they were closed for good, so it was a nice surprise to discover them again. They must not have been here long. Not much in the way of atmosphere or decor, and they're still waiting for a liquor licence (no Singha yet ????). The food is as good as we remember tho. Nice salads, crispy wings, and wonderful curries. Tried the red curry with chicken which was delicious. The coconut ice cream is a nice way to finish off a meal. Will definitely be back.

Huge disappointment as our Other Favourite Thai place KIN THAI was closed for a few days we thought we would try Leela no comparison my yellow curry was not yellow at all, the spice level was too hot as we ordered a medium spice level, the food was Too hot to enjoy properly and lacked that authentic Thai flavour so it was a mistake on our part and we will not be going there again anytime soon sorry but we just need to tell it like it is, this was not a good experience

Last Fridays take-away meal from Leela Thai was good but the quantity, 3 items plus rice, was a little skimpy, meaning not enough food. I like the idea, a discount for pick-up but it was our first time trying this place and they got a tip on the order. Probably will not be back. The new location is clean, inviting and open for dine-in.

A pretty mid-range but ok Thai restaurant. Used to be very good but food quality has dropped slightly in recent years. Service is friendly, but constantly seeing new staff which is interesting, most restaurants dont have staff change as much as this restaurant does curiously. Food is pretty authentic, but many dishes have to much western ingredients so overall taste and flavour are somewhat lost. Overall a nice place to eat, just not as nice as it used to be, not to many years ago. The constant new staff might have something to do with this, possibly to many new staff to get any rythym into the kitchen and food preparation etc.

The Food Was good but I asked for 3 out of 10 for hotness on the padthai as I have a 2 year old. The Padthai was insanely hot - I phoned and told the Manager who could not care less. She blamed me for not understanding her menu. As I ordered over the phone I did not have a menu. I was asking for a credit for next time for some pad thai - thats it. She argued with me for a half hour and said that I should understand her restaurant. Then she insulted me with 1/2 off for next time. Then she told me that she was the one who took the order. Then i asked her why did you repeat the order back to me in English. She said again that I was wrong, wrong wrong. The Padthai was thermo nuclear hot - too bad my 2 year old daughter gets no food tonight :( Thanks Leela Thai - you just lost me forever. The Absolute and Total Arrogance was unbelievable.

Wonderfully authentic Thai food in White Rock, a very pleasant surprise. Order it hot and it will be just like on the streets of Bangkok, order it mild and it still tastes quite good, but definitely not authentic - favorites include Tod Mun Pla, Tom Yum Gai (ordering this soup at 5/5 on hotness is almost unbearably hot but so so good), and Sacks of gold - invariably the more adventurous dishes are the best, the Pad Thai etc seem to have been simplified for the mass palate to the point of being a little boring.

Went there last Friday night, was seated right away. Waited15 minutes..no staff. Went and got our own menus. Then had to get waiter. He took our drink and food order- waited another 5 minutes for drinks to come. Never came so we left. Restaurant wasn’t busy. Disappointed as I’ve always enjoyed the food here.

Decent Thai food - not spectacular, but good service, kid friendly and great flavors. Dishes taste close to authentic , except for the use of local button mushrooms instead of straw mushrooms (not really a bad thing), meat tended toward over cooked (tough) but very flavorful. Spring rolls were mostly noodle, and potato chips are an odd garnish for satay. I'd come back if I was in white rock specifically looking for Thai food.

Fantastic staff and great flavors but small portions and barely any meat in the meat dishes... I want to give this place 5 stars for the staff alone who were amazing, and the flavours and cook on the food was great... But the truth is if you pay $15 for a plate of say curry chicken, you are going to need to buy a lot of rice to go with it or you're leaving hungry, even if you're a large kid. And you're looking at 5-6 cuts of chicken in it. We ordered 7 dishes and many bowls of rice and I was disappointed in the lack of protein and even volume in all of them. At $14-$18 per dish, I'm expecting more food and to not cheap out on the protein. And that's exactly what it feels like. I think they could do much better if they improved that. Every time I've been here it has been empty other than 1 or 2 other tables. I'd love to see them do better as the flavours are great. Hope they read this and consider it. As I said, the staff is awesome, 5 stars for them (really they were!). Hope this helps! If they fixed small portions especially protein, I'd change my review. Oh and as other people have mentioned, the tables chairs and Decor are very dated... But it kind of works, so I wouldn't hold that against them.
