Never go to this place! I would have chosen negative star if rating if given a choice. The host had a horrible attitude.She got our order wrong twice, we waited for more than an hour to get our food, still missing one dish. Server was ok and tried to do her duty. Overall, not worth it.

We spent quality time there.Very good customer service. This place is one of my favourite place to go and enjoy delicious food with my family. I am very hard to please when it comes to Indian food since I grew up eating real authentic fresh Indian food all my life. Their food is exceptional and to top it all they were able to impress our younger crowd who said they will definitely be back for more. Great food and friendly service!!! I would give them extra star for their unique taste for every dish they brought for us. All fifteen of us left with a smile on our face. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Indian taste and great location to dine in. Number one on my list of Indian restaurants!!!

We didn’t like the food at all. Although the breads were excellent. We ordered Dal and Kadhaai Paneer along with breads, the paneer had way too much turmeric. The staff was prompt enough to bring a replacement, Shahi Paneer, which was okay. The two stars are for the breads and the lovely servers, who constantly apologized for the inconvenience. The chef didn’t bother to come out and talk to us, even though we were the only customers. When we complained about the paneer dish, the chef rather made the excuse that this is how Kadhaai Paneer is made. The dal wasn’t great either.

I have been there couple of times , by far the best Indian restaurant in south surrey, I tried most of their menu and their tandoori fish and fish curry is to die for. The food will leave your mouth watering. Amazing atmosphere and extremely nice staff. A must visit place.

Owner is a wonderful great host and he is there open to close. That dedication shows this restaurant will be very successful. Beautiful views of the ocean and wonderfully priced also. Keep it up!

Tried out their food yesterday and it was terrible! So disappointed. Walked into Cilantro and assumed that based on it being on the main White Rock strip and having a nice restaurant interior that the food would be amazing. Unfortunately I was wrong. I ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. The butter chicken tasted so sweet and the tikka tasted like old socks. Very disappointed! Had a few bites and threw $45.00 in the garbage!

Excellent experience. Staff was courteous, friendly and prompt. All dishes ordered were an authentic indian taste and rich flavors avoiding an abundance of butter and oil. This much recommended restaurant compared to other local similar restaurants has scored 10/10. Great prices on drinks including beer, wines and spirits. Dishes where served hot and in a timely manner. Items where served in traditional steel dishes which was not only refreshing but added to the authenticity factor. Atmosphere was good with several television sets and a full bar. Music was a mix of various artists appropriate to the restaurant and was played at an exceptable volume so conversations where easy to have. Location is excellent being in whiterock Beach with a phenomenal view of the water. I would like to thank Spriha for making our dinner extra special. Thanks,

Had a great meal at this spot facing White Rock Beach. Got a table outside which was nice, especially since the west bound lane was closed. The food is tasty and the prices are reasonable. We ordered 3 mains, some rice, naan, and samosas. Just the perfect amount for the four of us. The aloo Gobi and coconut lamb were particularity flavorful. Washed it all down with some ice cold Kingfishers. Service was friendly and Ankita looked after us well.

It was awesome yummy food, reminds me college time tastes of the food. Whenever I visit Whiterock, I always visit this Cilantro Indian Cuisine restaurant with my family. This place has become #1 in my favorite foods list. Highly recommended for all.

An Indian and from UK (home of the best Indian food), so let's be frank I know what I'm talking about. Been here several times as it is now my local and well in the Vancouver area only Tasty Indian Bistro compares which is much nicer decor wise but for food I would say the main dishes are on a par an some are better than there and the naans are definitely better. Have tried many of the vegetarian dishes and a few of the chicken ones, all are excellent and the naans are the best I've tasted on the lower mainland. Service is good though the music isn't the best but they do change it if asked.

The service was fine but the food was average! Ask for extra hot and the dish wasn’t even mildly hot! Restaurant looks good from inside but the chef is pretty adamant on time as I ordered combo initially but he said the time is just till 3pm whereas I ordered it at 3:15PM!

So here’s the thing...I really, really need this place to last as it brings something new to the neighbourhood on the curry front. The food is exceptional...I haven’t had a fish curry like this forever and I’d go back just for that. However, the service needs a LOT of work. Almost feels like someone knew an awesome chef and woke up one day and decided to open a restaurant on the beautiful (and extremely seasonal...take note!!!) strip in White Rock. Everything other than the delicious food is mediocre and needs to improve to make sure you survive. I’ll definitely be back to give it another try.

The location and patio is great. The Vegan Wings are amazing. Nice vegetarian selection. A couple of suggestions thought. One, it would be great if the serving staff wrote down orders to get them right, our order had many mix ups. Also, would be great if the happy hour menu had a vegetarian food choice. Amazing food, quick service and beautiful location. However, the smell of the candle they have at the entrance area is extremely strong that reduced the appetite & caused headache. So it made us leave the restaurant as soon as possible. But it might be just us who is sensitive to smells. We will definitely come back for take-out!

We were there on Friday night this place is so clean and tidy as we see some restaurants only do proper cleaning , its was so nice to see restaurants like cilantro they focus on cleaning aswell as we enter the server are quite busy on dinner time . We wait about 5min then server came and greet us and offerd table we checked menu it was bit higher pricy but it worth as per their food it was fantastic we enjoyed after a long time in this pandemic. The food was amazing nicely spiced and served very good, the service is bit slow coz we understand the restaurant is full busy so we didn't mind to wait for bit . Visited this restaurant while I was in White rock. Loved their Prawn curry and zeera rice. My friend enjoyed the chicken tikka and chicken masala. Our Server Spriha was too welcoming and kind. Just been here at Cilantro indian cuisine on Marine Drive whiterock, it was a jem what a food muuuhwah i am a indian food lover been so many places in lower mainland but can't find the authentic food and flavor the right level of spice and presentation ????. We just came to chill out on beach but we saw the restaurant and decided let's try it our decision was right, we checked the reviews of them but I don't know why people's give them 1* stars . Not fair as I fell they might be get more then 5* if I can give them but Google has 5* only so , I or we recommend this place very much as we came from Burnaby but we will definitely come back here and highly recommended ????

By far the best Indian food I've ever tried in the Lower Mainland. After travelling to India, I had a hard time finding something that tasted anything as close to good as the food there, until I tried the food at Cilantro! Even my parents, who have never liked Indian food, now love coming here. Every new person I've brought over to this place ended up loving it. My mouth is watering as I write about Cilantro. Go try it, you will not regret taking my advice!

I visited the place yesterday around 9:25pm and the one of the staff member being rude told us that restaurant is closed now. I was like seriously its just 9:25 and restaurant is closing at 10. Such a rude and disrespectful girl she was i opened the door for her she even not said thank you instead gives us the attitude look. That was okay she haven’t said any thing but there was still 35 minutes to serve the guests. We were caught in embracing situation by that girl. Let them learn some manners how to treat and behave, visitors are their guests not the beggars.

Worst indian restaurant in Metro Vancouver. If there was anything less than 1 star i would have gone for that. I ordered food to go and i ordered kadhai paneer and they gave me kadhai chicken instead of paneer. Worst place to have food and the food tasted disgusting. I told them to make it hot they gave me bland food no taste just worst spice mix. I would never recommend anyone to go here.

I came here for lunch. It was empty so I could choose where to sit. It was calm and quiet ambiance. Some of the tables are too narrow to sit comfortably. Upon ordering food arrived fast. Curries tasted great, roti and lacha paratha were perfect. Papadums that we ordered felt stale and not freshly roasted. And Raita felt too thin and watered down. Service is fast, and they did check couple of times if everything is good. I will suggest this place when you are visiting White Rock. ✌️

We visited restaurant recently, the food taste was awesome. We ordered chicken kadhai, it had authentic Indian taste. Intially we were little hesitant to order chicken dish as we had experience of getting it sweet in most of the places but person who served convinced us and has given assurance that we will get good Indian taste here. It felt like getting delicious chicken dish after many days. Nice ambience and decent service.

Walked in at 9:45pm for a party of 2. The girl asked me if I have a reservation. I told her I did not. She said I must have a reservation. I than looked around the empty restaurant and said, I’m sure you can make room for the two of us as the restaurant has no customers? She said no, we need to make prior reservations. I’m so confused?!? Thank god Akash Chaat House is only a couple of stores down, we are happily eating here now. I guess Cilantro Indian Cuisine doesn’t need business.

Great tasting food correctly spiced. Every dish worth a return visit. Nicely appointed dining room with awesome sunset views. Very poor service despite nearly empty restaurant. Servers seemed distant and going thru motions. Took over 15 minutes and repeated requests for beer order to arrive. Zero personality - it was obvious the owners were not inhouse. We came by and asked for Mango lassi for take out. Girl standing at the front was so rude and she said you guys don't do drinks to go. I understand the rules and respect it too but she was way too rude . I asked her few questions starting from MAY AND PLEASE and she was nodding her head in all the conversation. I work at a restaurant too and i never behaved with customers like that. If you have a bad day it's good to sit at home rather than taking your frustation out on people. Please consider this and do talk to your employee. Appearance: She was wearing black top and dark hair. Also, she was rolling her eyes.

Cilantro Indian Cuisine has some of my favourite foods. They also have wine, beer on tap and an Indian tea. No coffee was available but that's okay with me. The menu had a large selection of meat items. There was also some vegetarian options but not sure about vegan options. We would definitely eat here again and highly recommend this restaurant for the food and the price.

Expected more to be honest. Its got a very nice name and looks decent enough from outside but unfortunately the seafood platter was less than steller. Also service lacked a bit but could have been because they had a rush at once. Maybe a bit more training. The tandoori chicken was ok but same all over flavors.

Excellent food and service for take out. My online order was given to the wrong person and we had to wait for them to re-make our order. Took less than 10 mins for them to make our order again. They say to allow 45 mins for pickup orders but it seems like they can get orders out much faster than that. Will definitely go back.

We went for dinner yesterday and ordered veg pakoras as we told our server that we are pure vegetarian. She brought the pakoras and it smells like chicken ( because those were fried in the same oil with chicken ). Then we asked her and she was way too rude . The other girl came and feel sorry which was appreciated. But our server started arguing that we never told her that we are pure vegetarian. Atleast she can told us that they have same fryer for everything so we can change our order. Rather than accepting her fault she was giving us attitude. I request to management that hire experienced staff or give them proper training how to deal with customers.

Worst restaurant ever. They brought the wrong order twice!!!! Even after that they were not even a bit apologetic. Instead, a lady working there showed us attitude and was very rude. We went there last night around 10:06pm and they close at 10:30pm . The girl who took our order was rude I asked so many things and she keep saying no we cannot make it right now ...... if you can’t make food 25 minutes before closing then you should tell customers right away when they enter. Beside this she bring all our food at once on the table and the time we finish our snacks the other was cold .This is the first time I saw that all food served together . I think you should hire people who knows customers service . We were regular customers there but not now we will never come again .

The best Indian food in all of Metro Vancouver! Food is delicious and atmosphere is amazing. Plenty of items to choose from the menu.Like the fact you can have a date night here on a patio facing white rock beach and also plan a family dinner. Pakora platter on house is awesome. Food quality is excellent, you can actually taste freshness in food. Naans were really soft.The spice level is tolerable by all, there are choices for all palettes.
