Really good Healthy Vietnamese food for a change NO MSG biggest thing. GREAT TASTE that is healthy!! Owner actually cares about food quality and raw materials. Great Staff, always trying to do their best, almost never say No. we came late at last order and they still accommodated us, we didnt feel rushed to get out. They let me and my family enjoy a full dinner. We have owned Restaurants ourselves and we know the challenges of having good staff and good Review and good quality food. Trust me this place is good. Simple not so big but they are welcoming and great taste.

This is a great authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Ambleside. Great dining atmosphere and much better quality than your average Vietnamese restaurants. There is a lot of different options to choose from including vermicelli bowls, salad rolls, pho, and desserts. There is a tray of four house-made sauces that really enhance the experience. Next time I'm in the area, I'm definitely going to have to return and bring some friends.

Beef pho, chicken pho are amazing????,

Yaoyao L

Growing up in Vietnam, I was skeptical when I saw $14 on the price tag for a bowl of Pho here. But I have to admit, this was hands down the best Pho that I have had in Vancouver. The quality definitely reflected accordingly to it’s price. This is not a place where people seek for cheap and cheerful Pho. It was quality that I was looking for, and I walked out of this place feeling like I was on the streets of Hanoi... I will 1000% be back. Hungry for more...

I love the beef noodle soup here. The broth is amazing by itself but if you add the spices they give u it becomes even more amazing. It's so delicious! If you order the beef noodle soup here you get an additional bowl of extra noodles for free. Highly recommend this spot.

Ekaterina Nicole Galitsky

The pho is way over price for what you get and flavour is average (sorry, nothing like the other reviews indicated).

Amazing food. Excellent service. We cant wait to visit Vancouver, and this place is a must to go for us now. Busy place and limited tables specially with covid setting. Go there and wait in line, worth the wait.

Fanny Lemarié

Great food. Great service. We came for a dinner and just loved it. Highly recommend!

Annie Cai

The pho is okay. The soup is not bad but not great. The wings were fantastic. The rice meals were nice but this restaurant is overpriced for what you get. Perhaps the quality is slightly better than other Vietnamese places but not enough to really notice. Don’t pay an extra $3 for a small spring roll. It is tiny and plain. No way it should cost $3. The service has been friendly and good!

This place was recommended to me by a friend. So this weekend, I decided not to cook on purpose so I can try out this new spot in the neighbourhood. And I can definitely say that the food is great. The staff was kind too. Expect me back next weekend.

This place is way overpriced, paid $12 for 5 chicken wings. We will never return to this place

Huong Le

Environment was good. Food was alright.

Julia Kristina

The value is just not there. $18 for Bun Bo Hue. There were 3 super thin slices of beef and the bowl was btw small and medium compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. The sablefish dish only had 4 tiny pieces of fish for $29 but the service was good!

Collin Yan

The taste of deep fried spring roll and chicken wings are below the average. And I don’t like the flavor of the beef noodle soup. Food quality can’t match the price. Will not go anymore.

coshie

Excellent Vietnamese food with a fair price. The staffs were so friendly with fast service. A small cozy but really nice restaurant! Definately recommend!

I was addicted with the Beef Noodle soup in this restaurant with a variety of hot sauce. But if you have dinner, it's a good idea to order the shaking beef with rice or the mixed skewer meals, that is really delicious!!. By the way, the restaurant usually has some special foods, last time I have tried the banana bread served with the coconut milk, one word : Yummy!. The environment in the restaurant is quite elegant with some flower vases, candles, and soft music! the servers in the restaurant always helps us to have the good recommendations about what kind of food and what is the ingredient. I will come back with my friends and family.

(Translated) Newly opened Vietnamese food at West Vancouver. The environment is good! It is the noodles in Vietnam that have no bean sprouts and mint leaves. The meat used is good beef! Also tried the leg of the lamb and the Vietnamese bread! Vietnamese chicken and beef rice set is very good! There are also garlic and chili sauces made by myself! Overall, it is more colorful than the old Cai restaurant. I hope that the owner can add a few more Vietnamese dishes. You can also cultivate the service attitude of the staff! It's astonishingly rare for me to go to the same restaurant more than once when travelling and this was one of those places. Went for dinner then lunch again the next day because it was just so good. Over two meals, we had the beef carpaccio, Hanoi fresh roll, beef pho, bun cha, chicken pho, and bun bo hue. Beef carpaccio is better than Phnom Penh's in my opinion. Roll wasn't that exciting but the peanut sauce was delicious. Both phos were so good, but beef was definitely better - the chicken pieces were a bit rough. Bun cha was probably the best bun I've ever had. Definitely one of the best Viet restaurants I've been to outside of Vietnam!

I loved the skewers with a side of rice. I would recommend getting different types of meat (I got shrimp, chicken, and beef) and trying them with their amazing sauces (that seem homemade). Pleasant experience. Only problems was that the restaurant had an intense smell (which can be a turn off for some) and more importantly, I saw some flies inside and the tables were slightly sticky. My girlfriend and I were also slightly disappointed by the pho. But overall, I would recommend this place!

Eugenia S

Our favourite viet restaurant on the north shore. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the beef pho is a must try. Centrally located in west van, ample parking in the area and a short walk to the water. Makes for a great experience overall.

Absolutely delicious! The food was incredible as was the presentation. I would highly recommend this place if you are craving Vietnamese.

I’ve been a few times now and every time we are treated to amazing service and smiles and delicious food! My favourite is the Shaking Beef, the quality of the beef is really good for what you pay for and is always super flavourful. The Pho is also delicious. I recommend sharing a few dishes so you can try more off of the menu.

I was curious about the name and came on Tuesday, shortly after the opening day. The place was nicely set out and felt cozy and friendly. The staff was all Vietnamese and it was obvious from their enthusiasm and knowledge that the dishes on the menu were what they have known and loved in Vietnam. It was perhaps this emotional attachment that makes the food here different from that of other Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver. My group of 5 ordered the Baby Octopus, the Chicken Wings and the Fresh Rolls for appetisers. Although the portion was generous, not a scrap was left and we were all keen for more so yes, they were good. But for me the stand-outs were the main courses. The "Beff Pho" came with a rich and flavourful broth that signified long, slow simmering of bones and an absence of additives. This may well be the "must have" item if you must really go for one dish only. But if you have a chance, pick the Grilled Chicken and the Stir-fried Beef to share, your stomach (and your friends) will thank you for it:) P.S: We came back on Thursday and managed to get to desserts this time. We have now added the "Egg Coffee" to our "Not-to-miss" list.

A nice addition to the West Vancouver restaurant scene. The Vietnamese food is fresh and tasty. We tried the grilled octopus (delicious), salad rolls (very fresh), shaking beef with vermicelli, chicken curry, and iced Vietnamese coffees. Everything we tried was delicious. The portions are not large, but the dishes were prepared with care. We will be back.

Good food but small menu

Linh Tran

Had the pho, it was okay, on the pricier side. Not your typical pho restaurant with tea, hot sauce and hoisen sauce at the table.

Alex Rockhill

Quite overpriced compared to other Vancouver restaurants (Pho is $14 compared to $8-9 in many other restaurants and they provide no additional toppings!) and the food was disappointing. You can get one free noodle refill for the Pho" (it's just tasteless beef broth) but considering how little of anything there is in the bowl you will need it. Very disappointing.

Besides this generalized Covid policies BS not let us sit with our family members all together, the food was really good and we tried for the first time very interesting traditional pho flavours, I particularly enjoyed the skewers a lot and the area is very enjoyable to grab an ice cream and walk by the water.

I had lunch to day I ask for chicken curry and nodal There is the worst experience I had there was hair on the table which I think belong to laydies who work there food was cold and when I mention that she said this is the way we have it in vitenum Chiken curry had no chicken in it and they told me it is what it is I think they should know we have had try there food in some other vitnumis resturant bad food .

Deanna Daniel

I enjoyed the crispy veggie spring roll and beef noodle soup. I dined in and was greeted right away upon arrival and then seated. The server mentioned they were out of their jasmine tea but suggested several other tea for me and I decided on chamomile. The food is hot and fresh and so tasty. I sat eating my food and guests kept coming in so that's a good sign too. There was a little 2 year old girl with her parents at the table near me and she would look over at me often so I'd smile at her each time. This restaurant has a great family atmosphere. I recommend checking it out. ????

When you think of pho, you imagine a soup with large amount of msg and artificialities.. This place offers authentic yet very delicious your life time best pho. My wife and I enjoyed and got to know what a good food can be. All to the basics, fresh ingredients carefully plated... Love this place. Best pho in town.

One of the best local restaurants in West Vancouver!...for Vietnamese, with a twist ! Not your typical ho-hum Vietnamese restaurant. They make their own chilli sauce which will make you want to buy more to take home. They have taken Vietnamese food up a notch with a healthy fusion flair. My favourite is the VEGGIE ROLL- BO BIA CHAY {Veg}...load up with a healthy heaping dunk of peanut sauce and you'll seriously consider becoming a vegan. However not to outdone, the Mixed Meat BBQ Skewer will whack you on the head and make your realize why you're not a vegan!...so very grilled yummlicious! Try the Pho. It's filling, healthy and not your run of the mill Pho. Makes other Pho's taste faux! :)

This is a different Vietnamese restaurant that serves North Vietnamese food. Phoa here is richer, because they boil the bones for 3 days. They also have coconut and egg coffee

Don’t listen to any of the reviews, there’s literally 3 other Vietnam restaurants near by that’s miles cheaper, have bigger portions and have better qualities. This restaurant is simply scamming the rich community of west Vancouver

(Translated) Today, my sister and I came here to eat beef pho. The first thing to really say is that the pho is very delicious, the pho broth is fragrant, just eaten, the meat is the same, the piece of meat looks very good, delicious. Service is needless to say, very professional and enthusiastic But there is one point that I don't understand is that when I brought pho, I asked for vegetables and prices, but the waiter said that Pho Bac does not eat vegetables and prices, because it will affect the taste of pho Honestly, I've never heard of it before. Maybe each place, each service is different, but to eat pho without vegetables is really boring. (Original) Hôm nay mình và 1 người chị có tới đây để ăn phở bò . We were here recently and we’re pleasantly surprised to see this quaint family owned restaurant hosting an event to raise funds towards those impacted by floods and typhoons in Central Vietnam. Their goal was that all sales and tips that evening would be donated to support a specific foundation assisting those most impacted. Our visit that evening was for purely selfish reasons...to enjoy their delicious dishes. But knowing that we were supporting a worthy cause made our visit so much more special. The pleasant staff was working extra hard that evening but always gracious, and respectful and you could still detect the smile behind their masks. The eyes never lie. During our last visit I had the Pho Hanoi, my wife the mixed skewer meal with noodles which were both delicious. This time I had the Spicy Lemongrass Beef Noodle Soup dish, which was outstanding. Highly recommend it. I added the rare AAA steak for an added protein fix. My wife content to repeat her previous skewer meal which she loves. We’ll be back soon.

ACCP

Premium pricing, but food and service was mediocre. We got the spring rolls that were average, the chicken wings that was probably the best out of everything, the papaya salad that was decent, the beef lac luc that was something I can probably make at home, the lamb chops that was decent and the regular beef pho that had a pretty good broth, but nothing else going for it. At $15 a bowl, I was expecting a little more, but overall it was a disappointing experience.

Enid Law

Authentic beef pho. It's the original way to make pho broth in Northern Vietnam. Simply excellent flavor from beef bone, ginger & onion. While most Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver use too many herbs to create a not-so-real flavor.

Stephen Yip

Really good food with amazing staff. Would definitely good back for their lemon grass chicken :)

1. Location near the beach so you can bring family to the beach for fun and then come to this restaurant for lunch or dinner. 2. Parking on the street 3. Vietnamese foods are great. We have amazing delicious Chicken salad, then Lobster roll, grill feed, grill pork eat with “bún”. Fresh orange juice with bamboo straw. Foods are truly Vietnamese styles and deserve to be top one in the city. 4. Decor is clean, nice and cozy. Inside they have both chair and sofa around wall for our kid to sit or play around on it. Patio outside near street is great. 5. Service is fast, friendly.

Richard H

What a different take on Vietnamese food! Stuffed fresh spring rolls with their own home made shrimp paste which gives the rolls a wonderful rich flavour. Next came the octopus, perfectly grilled with a really fresh, slightly tangy flavour, all from home made sauces from the back kitchen. My fav was the tender beef cubes, with the lightest seasoning on a bed of rice with a snappy, fresh salad full of water cress and radishes , very delicate and a perfect side for the beef. Don't forget dessert, not your typical gooey over cooked banana dessert but a very light, tall, chilled glass filled with house made gelatin cubes from various fruits and vegetables floating in a light creamy coconut drink. Very refreshing and not too sweet. Finally, enjoy a chat with the lively manager who can give you every detail about the ingredients in every dish and how the broths from the kitchen are truly house made. As I said before, this restaurant serves up a very different version of Vietnamese food and its just a block from one of the most scenic beach walks in Vancouver.

Location is nice, there is street parking within 1 hour. A bit pricey but I guess it's justifiable given the location. There are 2 reasons which make me give a review of 3 stars: (1) it took them too long to prepare the food (about 20 mins for 2 dishes when it was not busy is somehow not acceptable) and (2) Bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle), it is not Bun Bo hue at all and im not sure what was that. I don't think it should be served with lettuce.

Nikhil Chalakkal

The food is as good as some of the better Vietnamese restaurants in the city, but the price is about 20% higher. But if u are too lazy to drive far this place is a good choice... One less star for the price.

I am looking for a nice pho place in north shore and tried this place. and failed again... Compare to other pho places, it is quite expensive. A pho noodle soup is $14. Bean sprouts are not included. If you want to add bean sprouts, you have to pay $5. I love cilantro but they did not even have cilantro. Reply to wooden fish owner : When I asked for bean sprouts, your server (the new staff who speaks very little English) said we need to add the option on the menu. I saw only the vegi option on the menu and thought that bean sprouts were $5. We asked for cilantro twice for 10 minutes because the new staff kept saying 'YES' and never brought it. When we asked for cilantros for the third time (this time we showed her a picture of cilantro), the other server came to us and said they did not have cilantro, and explained the new staff does not speak English very well. It would be a lot better what you said here was explained beforehand. Thank you.

Amazing food, beautifully cooked/presented. Quick and friendly service. Definitely going back! I had the grilled cod on a bed of onions and dill, finished at the table. Ask for their delicious lemon grass and chilli garlic sauce to have with the food. We bought a bottle of each to bring home with us.

The best Asian restaurant in the area! Try to arrive just before lunch, otherwise you could be waiting. I didn’t feel comfortable sitting so close to the next table. Definitely not 6 feet apart. As soon as we walked in, the smell of the food made us hungrier. They offer appetizers, salads, fresh salad rolls, noodle soup dishes, BBQ skewers, and rice/vermicelli bowls. We ordered the Beef Pho noodle soup and Bun Cha. The Beef Pho was flavourful especially the broth (warms your insides on a cold, rainy day) and the bun cha was delish. It came with 2 grilled pork meatballs, 2 salad rolls and a tasty broth for the vermicelli noodles. The ambiance is modern with a varied menu from fish to foie gras to suit the variety of diners. You can order add-ons to your meal. We both enjoyed our choices and found both dishes flavourful. It’s not your standard Vietnamese restaurant as most dishes were different and homemade. A great place to hangout on a rainy day or if you have a hankering for good Vietnamese food. They’re open M-S from 11 am to 9 pm. You can dine in or take out. Service was prompt and courteous. It didn’t take long for our dishes to arrive. They sell homemade chili sauce and frozen broth for takeout. There’s complimentary parking on the street. I’ll be back to try their other dishes.

OK food but poor service. Somewhat limited menu. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a side of pickled vegetables. I forgot to specify whether I wanted it on rice or vermicelli noodles, and the waitress never asked me what I preferred. I added a vegetable spring roll for $3.50 extra, bringing the total to $18.50. The spring roll was tiny and just average in taste. The chicken was decent but was served on plain white rice with no sauce at all. I asked for some hot sauce to liven things up, and was brought a tray of four different sauces that helped. It would have been nice if the waitress offered these to me without my having to ask. The waitress walked by me several times and never looked at me, my plate or empty water glass. I had to speak out loudly to her to get some more water, something I should not have had to do.

Best vietnamese food ever, this is in my top 3 pho place now! Their salad rolls and hanoi beef pho were amazing!! And they have so much variety for their sauces too. Super clean and new inside too with covid walls set up. The staff were really friendly, thank you for the great service and food!

Nice little cosy casual Vietnamese restaurant. Decent food, served by amazingly attentive staff! First time eating here and I will return to try a few more dishes in order to give a better review of the food, as I feel like one api (spring rolls), one pho(chicken noodle) one main (coconut chicken curry with rice noodles) that we ordered isn’t enough to review the food. Customer service is definitely “A” plus!

The food was tasty and the portion was fine. It feels a bit expensive for what you get. There's room for improvement in the service, as I had to call the waitress several times to get napkins and condiments. I wish they had a few options for kids in the menu, there were several families with children in the restaurant. I had to share with my son and it ended being not enough for me and if I had ordered something else, it'd have been a waste.

Nasim M

This place was nice an quiet but their flavourful dishes where loud on my pallette. Definitely recommend it, a hidden gem in West Vancouver. Yummmmm

Nice restaurant, good atmosphere, great service. Everything came out quickly. I'm not impressed with the food, it seems to be more expensive 15%to 30% but the same quality than many other locations I've been to. Honestly, judging from other reviews maybe I just don't understand Vietnamese food. But this location isn't my cup of tea.

update on July 6 to 5 stars. Must try the lobster salad roll. French style Vietnamese restaurant. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. Each dish is well crafted and the price is affordable. Good place for quick lunch

Came here twice now, both times the service and food were amazing. I got the bun bo nam go today and my friend got the chicken curry. So delicious I almost cried. The meat is always tender and we'll marinated, and lots of flavours with each bite. The presentation is lovely, very colourful and you don't feel nauseous or hungry after, perfect portions. I wish they were closer to home but also not really cause I'd be more broke than I already am.

food is AMAZING. super bomb been twice here with my fam already. everything was really tasty and the prices were pre reasonable. flavour of the dishes were really strong, loved the taste of cilantro, satay and lemongrass. Presentation is also on point, played nicely and lots of colors ! I highly recommend getting the grilled baby squid !!it was perfectly cooked, and i love the satay flavor. ambiance is very nice and modern.

The foie gras rice was too dry and rare beef was excellent.

Highly recommended Beef noodle here. I was introduced it is Northern style noodle soup and the soup is truly amazing with its great flavour and fragrant. I am so satisfied and happy to try this quality noodle soup which is probably made with so much attention. Will come back again to try other dishes as I heard their Shaking beef and spring roll are amazing as well.

Pros: The Bah Cho was good. Papaya Salad was refreshing. Restaurant had both indoor and outdoor as seating. Cons: Lobster spring roll was terrible. Lobster was overcooked and tasted like rubber, and they gave only the size of a shrimp of lobster in the roll, some pieces had even none. With 3 servers on staff for such a small space, the service was seriously lacking. No checking in on taste or ask about first bites.

We ordered spring rolls and grilled octopus as appetizer which are not bad actually (over priced of course). However, the beef pho and spicy beef pho that came later were very disappointing from the moment I tasted the soup - very plain basically tasteless. Saw many other good reviews complimented the ‘rich’ soup base, maybe mine just got poured in more water by accident? Beef pho rice noodles they use the wide noodles which are not the typical think pho noodle you will get in traditional Vietnamese restaurants, no oyster source and spicy source either. For vegetables they used lettuce instead of basil and bean sprouts, at first I thought that’s some fusion style but in the end that adds no extra taste at all. Maybe this is just an overpriced fusion Asian eatery in west Vancouver, avoid if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese tastes.

This is hands down the best Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver. The food is flavourful and amazing. The menu offers some new unique dishes that you don't typically see at other Vietnamese restaurants - try something new. Make sure you ask for their house-made chillies and sauces and take a jar home. Service is top notch - staff there are friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

I was so excited to try this new Vietnamese restaurant. First impression is that it is very nice, clean with beautiful decor, people are very friendly and accommodating. I tried Hanoi Beef noodle soup and it was amazing. Their pho is unlike many other places, the broth is very rich, flavorful and i can taste no MSG. I love to add their Garlic vinegar and home made chilly sauce into pho and it makes it taste so good. It was so different that I asked for some bean sprout but I was told that their pho is authentic northern Vietnamese style and they do not go with bean sprout and hoisin sauce because the broth is already rich enough. But combination of Pho with garlic vinegar is great. If you look for veggie option and low carb, they offer to add veggie for you and of course noodle refill is also a plus. It completely worths the price considering how much effort they put in to make a good broth that is hard to find. So far so good, I am very excited to try their other main dishes next time.

First time trying Wooden Fish today for take out, it was excellent! I was really impressed with the Bun, it’s a different sauce style (Northern) and the ingredients are tasty and higher end. Definitely worth the price. I’ll be back to try more of the menu!

flavor combinations is good. beef carpaccio had great flavor and texture

Very nice pho broth, and very friendly service!

Food was amazing. All of us can't wait to go back again. The beef Pho is spectacular. I like to dip the spicy baguettes in the broth. Also, their in house made hot sauces are incredible. Can't wait until they start to sell those sauces.

Hands down best pho in Vancouver. Broth is very light yet still flavorful. The lemongrasa chili and garlic chili goes well with the meat.

Not a pleasant experience. I gave Wooden Fish a try as per excellent reviews in a Vietnamese food group in Vancouver. Things did not go well, accumulatedly: - When I was ordering, I told the waitress that I would like to have the grilled baby octopus first. She cut me off immediately, telling me that I should order everything at once. I explained to her that I would like to have it as an appertizer, meaning it must be served before main dishes. Some Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to bring the appetizers after the second course. She told me that the kitchen would know that. Also, I was using Vietnamese and the waitress answered in English???? Luckily , my English was ok enough to handle the situation. - The grilled octopus served. Mediocre but no complaints. - My main dish were brought out 20 mins later, it’s ok because they’re busy. However, my partner’s one served 12 mins after mine???? - I found a spoiled piece of red lettuce in my vermicelli plate but set it aside and did not point out until I found another piece. I knew that it’s hard to spot the spoiled pieces, but I was looking for better preparation for a long period of waiting. We did not finish our food as it’s not what we expected for the price. - We talked to the owner and she offered cancelling all the items off the bill but we stated to pay for what we ate. To the owner: this is the whole story. I tried not being an impolite customer but being working for food industry for years, I anticipated a better customer service. The mistakes were minor but they built up and caused uncomfortableness. I hope your restaurant will do better.

I'm a regular the wooden fish and the food and service is always amazing. Best spot for Vietnamese in the Northshore.

The traditional pho-ga and pho-bo was so delicious. There sauces were cherry on the top. The flavours was authentically vietnamese. I loved it. Servers were very friendly and served your food with love.

After 10 years of searching I have finally found Bun Cha outside of Vietnam! Best Vietnamese restaurant I have eaten out of Vietnam. Toronto Viet restaurants don't compare, this place had herbs and spices made in house I have never eaten before and it was amazing! Best restaurant choice I have made in Vancouver I would eat here again and advice all to give this place a try!

Food was alright. Price is little higher end for quality of pho you get. Broth was great. Service was inconsistent. One server was very friendly and other server was just incompetent. I asked for a refill noodle, waited 20 minute, nothing. Obviously the server forgot because she was so busy to serve only occupied table at the time. I decided to just pay the bill and leave. At the counter I told the friendly server how I didn't receive my refill noodle and she apologized sincerely. Though the girl who received refill order was just laughing. I don't know if she was laughing at me or laughing at herself for forgetting. I don't know how it is funny to forget the order when there was absolute no customer other than our table of two? I will likely never go here again but this is my honest review of the restaurant.

de sp Ling

Saw the reviews said it’s the best Vietnamese restaurant in west Vancouver, well, maybe it’s because there are only two Vietnamese restaurants here. We tried the beef pho, spicy beef pho and curry chicken..... beef pho is good but a bit light on the taste, my boys think the taste of noodles and soup doesn’t cooperate. And we did not that enjoyed our spicy beef pho and curry chicken. I would say their price landed on the higher side, $18 for a bowl of pho. I would give it another try if not for seeing one of the lady server didn’t wear the face mask all the time we were there. I didn’t noticed while I was there, my boys and my husband noticed but they didn’t want to make the scene so they just quickly ate their food and off we went.

Navid Hakimi

While I was there, the staff dealt with some unruly and rude customers in a very professional manner. Oh.. And the food was pretty good.

Andrew Chin

Quick service and food was good. However, some sides that come with the main dish do not complement it at all so 50% of your meal basically goes uneaten and so the prices don't really justify the portions.

This place had very tasty food. We hadn’t tried it since changing over. The staff were nice. It didn’t take very long for the food to come out either. Everything tasted fresh. And you really can’t complain about the prices either. I would suggest for people to give it a chance. Thanks for the good food and service.

If I could I would give minus 5 stars to this grilled baby octopus. It is very disappointing for both quality and quantity! STAY AWAY!

Chicken pho was lovely. Portions were just the right size. Service was quick and morale was high. Kudos to the owner and staff. Full House at 8pm, no wonder why.

Love this place!! Great food! Meatballs tasted like it’s made from canned cat food. The vermicelli is so soggy that if I squeeze it, it will probably solve the drought in Africa. I had to inject insulin while trying the soup cause it was so sugary, which tasted like the entire periodic table. The fried spring rolls looked like my grandma’s toes, the amount of grease in there can supply McDonald for a year. Waited 28 minute for 1 dish pretty acceptable! Love this place!

This is the hidden gem Vietnamese food in Vancouver!!! The Pho is so delicious, the broth is very flavorful just like homemade pho. I also love the salad roll here, they always use fresh ingredients. Beef carpacio here is my husband favorite. And my 2 kids love the shaking beef here. The staff is very friendly. I was so sad when this restaurant was closed few week ago due to the Covid 19 but now I'm so happy to hear that they are open now for take out to serve the local customers. And it is very sweet to know that they have big promotion for frontline workers and free delivery to seniors.

My girlfriend had regular Pho and she loved it. I had a chicken curry, which was tasty, but for $16 I expected more than just a couple chunks of chicken and potato in the soup.

Really, really good French-Vietnamese food. I had the pork spring rolls and the Hanoi Beef Noodle Soup. The spring rolls were crispy and fresh, and the broth was extremely rich and soul-warming. Solid service all around, and the tableside condiments were a great touch! I will be back!

They have bun cha !!! Typically hard to find as it's a northern dish. I was super happy it was on the menu. It was absolutely perfect. 10/10. Service was great and food arrived in decent time. Pho and other dishes are much faster to make so I didnt mind the wait. Spring rolls were best iv had.

Amazing Sable fish. They cook for you at the table. Comes with delicious salad and rice. Their papaya salad is amazingly delicious. The staff are well informed about the menu and service is impeccable. Better than expensive and rude staff at Ancora.

Beef pho is really good. I add the bone marrow into pho, but it is cold inside. Not sure that is how it like or not.

Andrew Kim

This is the best Vietnamese food I have ever had! It's next tier! We tried the chicken curry, northern style pho, chicken wings, and rolls. Each was delicious! The broth of the pho was so rich with just the right amount of fat. The house made side sauces for the pho were delicious, I liked the chili garlic vinegar! Not only was the food great the servers were so friendly! We brought our toddler which can cause negative reactions with some establishments but they treated us so good! An amazing place to come to after a day at the beach!

I FINALLY FOUND A PLACE THAT HAS BUN CHA!! It was so amazing I had to do a review mid eating. I normally don’t do reviews but I need to review this so I can keep it in my profile for when I come to Vancouver again. My gf had the beef pho, it was also amazing. Presentation 10/10, food 12/10, value 10/10
