Tried the pesto pasta and it was honestly worse then if I were to make it myself. I may give the restaurant another chance but not a great experience at all for the first time. Especially for a place that prides themselves on pasta dishes.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE .. I’m appalled .. I called to make reservations on Friday and spoke to Jonah who apparently is the manager . It’s a party of 11 so he said he had to look into it and since he was on the lunch rush he would contact me in an hour or so . Heard nothing back all day ..all my attempts to call back that day kept being forwarded to an automated messaging system that just keeps repeating the same thing over and over telling you to hold .. but nobody ever answers . called back Saturday spoke to a woman who took my info yet again and said Jonah would contact me .. STILL NOTHING NOBODY EVER CALLED NE BACK .. it’s now WEDNESDAY .. and I even left a voice ail message yesterday again .. QUITE RUDE I think .. I need to make these resos for my dads birthday and can’t be sitting around waiting till last minute .. WONT BE EATING HERE EVER ..

We loved our lunch at Trattoria! The portions were quite large and the food was delicious! They offer some a decent amount of Gluten free options and have a happy hour menu with pretty good deals. All the waitresses were super nice to us and the food came to our table very quickly.

Great little joint, the cocktail hour was definitely worth it, the carpaccio had a great discount and it was delicious, the martini was in happy hour but unfortunately it was quite watered down. The gnocchi were outstanding.proce was good not as expensive as other Italians.

Avarage food, poor service. My kid spilled water, the waiter gave me a towel that they use to clean tables and went. I had to clean everything on my own and when I asked for napkins he gave me 3 even thiugh he saw that there are still a lot if water left on the table. As for the floor, only 20 mins later someone came to wipe it. Maybe I should have brought my own mop.

I have the feeling this place is getting worse and worse! I used to come here regularly for pizzas and pastas and I noticed change in the service. Once, the smart waitress charged me twice for dining in as she wasn't not sure if the first transaction went successfully! In order to get my money back, I made around ten calls and two visits! Not worth it!

Very disappointing dining experience.. We had a dinner here two days ago. I ordered Cannelloni. I was unpleasantly surprised to find large pieces of cartilages, bones, and other meat by-products in my turkey. As soon as I finished my meal, I got very sick with bad stomach cramps, diarrhea, snd sever nausea. I suspect food poisoning due to poor quality of meat. I tried contacting the restaurant yesterday to see whether there were more people affected on that day (I am breastfeeding and I was scared I could pass whatever was making me sick to my baby through breastmilk) but nobody bothered to reply. Considering the fact that this place is not cheap, I do not recommend dining here.

Food is very good. Serving staff was also very friendly. However...hostess was a complete disaster. We had a small group and had no reservations. She took our contact info and told us the wait would be 45 minutes. After waiting an hour and a half we showed up at the entrance. We were told our table was given away because we didn’t show up when we were notified. One problem...no text was ever sent. I made a point of making sure she took my number correctly. We ended up getting seated on the patio, freezing our butts off. It was a cold and rainy night. For a restaurant of that quality, that kind of service is unacceptable. Needless to say I doubt we will go back there again. At least to that location.

The staff was very attentive and friendly. I think at least five or six people asked us how we were doing or checked on us while we were there. The rooftop patio was very nice. We were seated next to gas fireplace/feature that provided both ambiance and warmth. I had the Truffled Spaghetti, which was very good. My girlfriend had the Spaghetti Bolognese, which was also very tasty.

The service alone is worth five stars! All the staff is very professional and friendly, the food is great, nice wine selection and prices are reasonable too. If you're heading out for dinner around Park Royal this is the place to go - it is miles ahead of the competition.

Well my wife phoned down to find out if they were open for dine in. She was told yes and so due to bad traffic it toook us an hour and half to get there, it is normally a 10 minute drive. We were asked if we had reservation? We said no. When we called no one suggested we needed one. We were told the wait would be over an hour. We left and will not go back.

The worst pizza and eggs Benedict I've ever had. We were waiting for 40 minutes to get served. Horible service- no apology for cold breakfast and overfried hash; and disgusting pizza, late service. Same experience with service in Italian kitchen on Alberni. Waiters are rude, managers are indifferent. Never going to Glowbal group restaurant again. wouldn't recommend.

Incredible service. Aga, the manager, was particularly helpful and gave very good service. It was my birthday and they gave my family and I an amazing desert! The manager went the extra mile to be personable and an incredible host. Our server, Hannah was very good as well! Will definitely come again :)

Had a wonderful time here and I'm sure you'll have the same. We had the tenderloin and the short rib. The steak was cooked perfectly, the short rib was tender and flavourful, and the risotto with the rib was perfect. The server, Tiffany, was attentive and helpful (made our dinner a whole lot more entertaining too!). I would definitely recommend you come over whether it's for a quick lunch or, like us, a great dinner.

It was my first time at the Park Royal location. Finding outdoor parking nearby is a nightmare but our visit was very pleasant. The waitress was very energetic and chatty. She gave us great suggestions and I ended up going for my favourite: truffle spaghetti and meatballs. They were absolutely delicious as always. Their house red wine also pairs quite nicely. We had tiramisu and their house made donuts for dessert. Both were terrific! Great service and great location. Very happy with my visit :)

Our waitress was fabulous, manager/host was friendly, food was quite yummy. I would have rated 5 stars. However, my friend and I went for dinner last night and we asked the blonde hostess to seat us at another table - twice... she declined saying she was reserving for larger parties. However, she sat parties of 2 all around us at 4 person tables! We were NOT impressed. She obviously discriminated against us. We will never go back there.

Happened to be pasta Tuesday on our first visit. All pastas on the menu are $13 on Tuesdays. And for additional $4, you can get a small salad, or glass of wine, or tiramisu. Or all three for $12. Unfortunately, we did not know this until halfway through our meal, and saw it on the tent card on the table in fine print. It would have been nice if the server had suggested it to us. As we ordered a regular salad at $18 to share. The pastas were great for the value ($13 each). Salad was a little on the small side. And drinks were fair pricing. Tiramisu was delicious. Service was a little lacking as our server was not available when we wanted help. When our pastas were brought to the table she left quickly. She did not ask if we wanted some ground fresh pepper or grated Parmesan. We tired to get her attention a number of times but failed. A food runner noticed we needed help and came over to assist. Also after when our server collected our entree plates, she left immediately and did not ask if we wanted anything else. We had to waive her down when we saw her again in about 10 min to let her know we wanted to order dessert.

Service has improved and the pasta tuesday was great with a $4 glass of wine and a $4 tiramisu. A major improvement with attentive waiters and staff and a manager that actually helps out. Finally looking like they work as a team. Not sure how long it will last. Lots of people I know still won't go back because of how they were treated before. Friday pasta and wine lunch deal is maybe a good way to try it out again, $13.

It was my first visit to Trattoria a week ago with my husband and I have a mixed review about this place. When I called for reservation and was asked if there was a special occasion, I mentioned it was for my birthday, along with any food allergies, etc. I mentioned that I’m we both were pescatarians. Anyways, we got a nice seat on the outside patio and we ordered the polenta fries for appie- I’d give that a 3 star but that’s totally based on my taste. The main dishes we ordered were a salana and the chefs special which was salmon with potatoes and asparagus. We really enjoyed our main course and I’d give those food a 5 star. Suddenly, our server brought us our bill and we both were thinking of enjoying our evening or rather celebrating my birthday with a dessert and coffee. We ordered our coffee and enjoyed that but my whole point here is if you are taking notes of any special occasions, please read them. We didn’t quite enjoy the way our evening ended as I’m sure you understand a cake or a dessert is always a nice ending when celebrating something.

I took my mom and sister to this place for a breakfast last weekend. The food was fairly good but the staff was not welcoming. For instance, We ordered a coffee and when the waitress brought cups on a tray, she spilled half of the coffee all over the tray and basically we got half a cup of coffee. She did the same thing when we ordered another coffee. Then we asked another lady to bring more bread but what I noticed was a racist lady coming to take our order and she was fawning at us. I thought maybe she didn't have a good day but when she went to another table to take their order as well, she was smiling at them all the time. I believe that the quality of food is not the only factor when choosing a restaurant. I think the manager needs to train and educate their staff. I won't go to this place again.

Amazing food. This is the first time I have been here. I had the New York Steak with a garden salad and was VERY PLEASED. The steak have AMAZING TASTE AND COOKED TO PERFECTION. The garden salad was VERY FRESH. Not to mention we came on 50 percent off a bottle of wine. Hats off to the chef for an amazing meal. The manager was great as well, wiping plates and bringing the food out to everyone. I haven’t had service and food like this for a while. Will definitely recommend and will be back! Thanks so much!

THE BEST!! I absolutely love this place, from the food to the service! Kind and warm staff, they come around to make sure everything is okay and are always checking in. I have been going to this location for the same dish for maybe 4 years now (or longer) and it's always great. The Linguine Gamberi with fresh black pepper and parmesan. They make it the best at this location. They also have the best red AND WHITE sangrias. I go for the white every time because not many places in BC even do white sangria! Thanks Trattoria team!

We celebrated Family day here and we thought that the service was bad. While ordering (cheese bread, calamari, 1 carne platter and 1 pasta platter) our male server looked shocked and told us that it’s going to be too much for us (4 of us) so we should just minimize our order and so we did because it was our first time and we took his advised. When we saw the carne platter and started eating, we know it’s not enough for us so we ordered the pasta platter(our original plan, having both platter) and male server raised his 2 eyebrows saying, are you sure? And we said yes. When the pasta platter was served we were all excited but then we weren’t impressed with the pasta (which is bland ) and the meat balls was just caned corn beef and and it’s not hot because it’s been sitting on the counter before it was serve to us. Then we called the server asking if we can take it home and he replied: see I told it’s too much. It’s not too much it’s just that we didn’t enjoy the food. So my mom told us to take it home and she’ll re-make the pasta. Our first family day here in Canada and that was a bad experience. Although the lady who lead us to our seats was very sweet and helpful.

Had the worst experience. First our waitress was waisted she could barely stand straight. I'm not sure how the manager even let her on the floor that day. We had to wait for a drink for 40 minutes. Then when our patience ran out we asked for a manager. Had to reorder our drinks 3 times before we finally got it it was wrong. Food was bland and at the end I found a hair in my salad. Mmmm... so good. My daughter and I had a fabulous lunch here today. I was going to get the Caprese salad with some grilled prawns and our amazing waitress recommended the lunch special. It was DELICIOUS! If you are looking for the best place to lunch at Park Royal consider Trattoria. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Came here with my boyfriend for date night and the service was awful. We arrived at 7:40pmish and the restaurant was fairly busy but after we were seated, our server 10 minutes to come take our order. The kitchen was able to get our food out pretty fast but we were entirely forgotten about the entire evening. Our waters were never refilled and our plates weren’t cleared. We also had to wait quite a while to get our bill. While the food was great, we won’t be back just due to the horrible service. Good service can make up for bad food but good food can’t make up for bad service.

I recently went to trattoria last week on Tuesday to check out their great 13$ pasta deal. There was a little wait but it wasnt too bad and understandable for such a busy night. When we initially sat down one server came and brought us water. But after we waited for about 20 minutes until another server asked if we had been helped. I was a little frustrated as the table next to us sat down and was served/ordered their food in 5 minutes. When we received the caesar salad, unfortunately it had barely any dressing and the croutons were stale. The pasta on the other hand was exceptional as well as my negroni. My main issue was that we were served by 5 different servers and I never heard any of their names. Could be a section issue maybe? I'm going to try again in a couple of weeks and edit the review to see if it was just a one off.

A new favourite - wonderful food and outstanding service! A few nights ago my family wanted to have a special meal before our eldest daughter returned to university. We have some favourite go-to places but wanted to try something different and my daughter suggested Trattoria at Park Royal as she had been there before and enjoyed it. My youngest daughter, who can be a somewhat picky eater, very much enjoyed her Penne Alfredo from the kids menu. She also wanted some bread, and our server suggested trying both the focaccia and cheese/ garlic bread - which were both very good. We shared the calamari appetizer and three of us shared the Pasta Platter 24.95 priced per person | min order of two, with truffled spaghetti & signature meatballs, gnocchi, crab & lobster ravioli, bucatini cacciatore. OMG OMG the crab and lobster ravioli was the best I have ever tasted, and the truffled spaghetti was amazing. I also enjoyed the other dishes but those were my two favourites. Other family members enjoyed everything. I have to admit that I will definitely want a full plate of the ravioli next time, but I highly recommend the platter as a great way to discover your own favourites. As wonderful as the food was I have to say that what really made the experience outstanding was our amazing server Reiko. She took such great care of us, was so helpful with recommendations, very attentive and so friendly - she made the evening very enjoyable. I have to say that she even noticed that my Mojito had a lot of ice - I had requested "not too much ice" and she promptly had it replaced. This really meant a lot to me - I was reluctant to complain because of an experience at another restaurant a while back the same thing happened and when I mentioned it my drink was replaced but I was charged for the replacement! We will definitely be returning to Trattoria again in the near future! Thank you Reiko!

Hopfully this was just a bad night for this restraunt, it felt very unprofessional, staff seemed very unorganized and clumsy. My wife and I waited for an hour for our food just to be suggested that we cancel our meals and only eat our salads. At this point we were expecting we would be compensated, however we were not. 3 broken dishes, no meal, and a mouse running across the floor was our experience. If I were the owner i would be very unhappy with work flow and customer service.

The only reason this review was given 2 stars was that our food was very good. Our party had several different dishes and enjoyed them all. Our negative experience centers around our server who appeared to be the person in charge last evening. His attitude was anything but welcoming. He made little to no effort to engage our party in anything but taking our orders and we felt he had no interest whether we were there or not. During the evening we were also served by 2 other servers and they delivered our food and nothing else. No engagement, no smiles, and once again making no effort to contribute to what should have been a positive dining experience. When the bill was paid, the primary server stood directly off the right side of the patron paying and appeared to be watching the amounts inputted into the machine. The individual commented that she felt intimidated.A small tip was included on purpose. When the server took the machine and looked at the receipt he stood at the bar and called a co-worker over and showed her the receipt. This perception of intimidation continued as we stood up, he engaged the member of our party who paid, shrugged his shoulders and indicated there was a problem with the bill as the tip was extremely small. I came over and asked if there was a problem. I was told "I am dealing with the lady" He indicated that he "has to pay his kitchen staff". When the bill was reviewed, it was apparent that the tip had an unintended decimal error. Again, no personal space was allowed, as he walked her through a re-entry of the tip. The tip was adjusted somewhat and we left, confident we will not return. If a gratuity which is a voluntary payment for good service is required in order for Trattoria kitchen staff to be paid, I suggest the individual and the staff take some time for self reflection, understanding that their efforts and attitudes will be reflected in the amount of gratuities and returning customers. If our server was in fact, in charge last evening, his attitude and behaviours are a poor example for his staff to follow.

Spent a very pleasant birthday evening dinner with my BF. The food was very good as usual, and came to the table quickly for a restaurant that was full. At the end of our evening, the waitress packed the food that we could not finish, and offers us the dessert menu. We were so full from the large portions that we declined dessert. The hostess at the front desk overheard the conversation, she came to check and see if we were pleased with our food. We reassured her that everything was delicious, and that we were just to full to eat anymore. The hostess came back a short time later and informed us that she had taken care of my glass of wine, and my BF’s ice tea. As well she sent us home with the dessert we had declined. All unexpected, but very appreciated . Big shout out to the staff for all their hard work tonight, keep up the great job!

Went here a few weeks ago after long day of shopping. long story short, after ordering pasta with fish and waiting 20 mins, my pasta arrived uncooked and crunchy so told the server that its not cooked, she with the a fake attitude, brought me a new serving of the same dish and just threw the plate infront of me while acting to be really nice. guess what, the pasta this time is just boiled in water and they put the fish on top. not mixed with the sauce like it should be. for a dish that i paid 20+$ it looked worse than a amateur home made pasta.

Had a reservation on for 6:00 PM, Received a notification at 4:30, that my reservation had been changed to 4:45, then it was cancelled. Never received a call from the restaurant. Tried to call the restaurant multiple times, no answer. Terrible experience. Major disappointment, I’ve had positive experiences at other Glowbal Brands before, but this was my second terrible experience at Trattoria restaurants within the same week. Will never dine at the Trattoria brand name in the future.

I was so nervous at first coming to this place, but as soon as I walked in, I felt at ease with the warm welcome from the staff. My friends have always told me to come and eat here, especially on pasta Tuesday. (More deal's) but I went in during happy hour on a Thursday, oh boy. I'll definitely be coming back, I loved the Funghi pizza and the brussel sprouts! I'm excited to try something new next time.

I had lunch there yesterday, ordered Steamed mussels and Seafood Linguine. Both dishes were not well done. The amount of garlic used in both of them was way too much, and I had the feeling that I eat garlic dishes, not seafood. I also noticed that the cooking person was on his cell phone most of the time. Badly prepared food. I think this place needs to improve by having better personal, and as well to improve their menu, including preparation. One star, as there are no options for no stars! Even the fast-food restaurant would have better food prep. Disappointed and regretful that I went there. I could have a way better lunch and experience.

Great atmosphere, friendly service. The have big barrels and wine bottle decorations. Standard food overall. A good choice for when shopping at Park Royal. The beef carpaccio was most outstanding, the fried beignets on the other hand was a bit disappointing. Could have used a bit more sauce or ice cream even, felt really dry. The lamb shank was good, and fall off the bone, but could use a bit more spice and flavour. The servers and host were all very attentive, but the tables were a bit tight to each other (before covid). Overall was a good experience and will be returning again.

We decided to try Trattoria after a long hiatus and I must say they have really got their act together. When it first opened it was a bit of a mess - sloppy and disorganized with arrogant servers. This time we were greeted promptly and taken to our table very efficiently. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and split a Fennel and Arugula salad. It was excellent and they split it for us. I then ordered the Spaghetti and meatballs with extra sauce and it was filling and delicious. Had to take most of it home. My partner ordered the Gnocchi which she thoroughly enjoyed. My only issue is that they charged $2.00 for the extra sauce on the pasta. Is $2.00 a lot, no, but it is just the principle of it. Every other restaurant I have done this in has not charged extra for the sauce. Something to consider. Dropped a star rating because of that.

We came to the restaurant after not being able to really find anywhere else to eat in the area at such a late time, expecting to just end up picking up fast food. Immediately the waiter/waitresses were extremely nice and accommodating, we didn't expect anything of the food and being so hungry we thought the food would come out quite a while after sitting down. The food was ready almost 15-20 mins after we ordered and it was all so delicious! As we ate it just kept getting better. I ate so much I had to unbuckle my belt. Definitely will be coming back another time! I 100% do recommend for a nice or casual dinner with family or friends.

Very accommodating restaurant as we attended a family dinner with a few kids. They situated us at one quiet corner. Truffle spaghetti meatballs is the way to go! This signature dish of Global group never fails to impress. Carpaccio and tiramisu are not as authentic but still pretty good. Portion is relatively big so it’s lots to share.

I have eaten here a few times, and had uneven experiences; however, my most recent dining experience was very positive. I had a Caprese (salad) to start. It is a very basic dish, but mine was very fresh, cool and satisfying. It's not cheap but, on a hot summer's day, worth every penny. Next up, I had the Truffled Spaghetti and Signature Meatballs. The meatballs were good, but not the best I ever tasted. Nonetheless, overall, this pasta dish was perfectly executed. The truffle cream was exquisite, the spaghetti was nicely done, and the herbed ricotta added the perfect finishing touch. This entree was very tasty, filling and good value at $24.95. Finally, dessert. I shared the Zeppole al Cioccolato (Italian style chocolate-filled doughnuts with vanilla crème anglais). In a word... AMAZING! This dish is so sinfully good that it ought to be illegal. Extremely scrumptious... highly recommended! The service was attentive but not intrusive, and the dining room was lively but not overly noisy. The bar serves up some great cocktails at reasonable prices. I had a very enjoyable time at Trattoria Park Royal, and greatly look forward to my next visit.

Good service, food and great location. Had happy hour and ordered the calamari, beef carpaccio and meat pizza. All were very good and delicious. Lots of flavour in the pizza and crispy crust. The tomato sauce with the calamari was on the salter side but otherwise, good too. Beef carpaccio...beef didn't taste and look as fresh but it wasn't bad or anything, just could be better. Our server was friendly and attentative...all-in-all, good snack and rest after a few hours of shopping. For safety protocols, they put up glass/plastic barriers between tables...a bit tight between tables and would have been nicer to have a bit more space.

I had my favorite Italian dish, a classic Carbonara. Although the restaurant is clean with excellent service at reasonable prices, the Carbonara was rather bland and flavourless. So they missed the mark on this rather simple dish by not using fresh ingredients.

A sunny day we go to Park Royal and decided to choice this restaurant. Our group was assigned outdoor table. Go get some Italian beer and pizza, spaghetti and salad. Every go through but not excellent. The best for me is salad and beer. Staff is quite ok but they did not care enough for rush hour.

Can't seem to get orders right. Have brought 2/3 dishes out and forget about the 3rd persons food. Takes so long you might get a discount. All 3 times we have gone here have been disappointments. Dishes will include other menu items so they couldn't be bothered to use different bowls (bonus!)

The food was amazing. I have never had such a beautiful and tasty food of the following: carpacio with truffle oil and soft mozzarella, tasty pear salad with an exotic and fresh vinegrette that I had to close my eyes to savour every bite. The calamari was perfectly tasteful and fried that was not oily at all and crunchy. So so delicious...the mussels OMG never had such tasteful mussels with garlic and basil wine and tomatoes and the size which were the perfect mussels. Medium size mussels is what you look for to ensure the best taste. The tiramisu oh so fluffy which the mascarpone was whipped to perfection to ensure a fluffy cloud in your mouth. So delicious. The service outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I have never felt this uncomfortable dining at a restaurant before. I know times are tough but we expected better customer service. The food was OK -- nothing special. They forgot the potatoes for my Benny, but I pointed it out and the waitress asked the kitchen to prepare some for us. Our waitress -- we didn't get her name -- was nice but had an attitude. Towards the end of our meal, I showed her a gift card on my phone. I asked if I could just ask write the total amount on the receipt and she demanded that I had to write a percentage. If not, I can by cash or card. So I gave her a tip percentage and she went back inside to print a new receipt. Okay...I told my partner I wasn't comfortable with her taking my phone away from me (she did it the first time before she asked about the tip). She obviously heard me because she came back and said "I am not taking your phone" then proceeds to take it inside to the cashier register. I was speechless. I obviously wasn't comfortable with other people touching my phone, especially during Covid. She made me feel very uncomfortable at the restaurant. I don't think I will ever return to this location for that reason.

Food was OK, pizza had about five olives on it (olives cost nothing)....not a lot of other toppings visible - maybe a couple of tablespoons. Friend got the beet salad and it was ridiculously small - evidently it just to be a lot more! - so friend reacted, and she got a bit more but My God. I grow arugula - the beet salad says "macedonian feta and arugula". There was maybe 4 small pieces of obviously from a box of 'baby arugula'...and perhaps 1 tablespoon of feta. Hard to believe. The lovely young staff people try their best but someone is really gouging. I wonder who it is, Glowbal Group? Honestly. You should be ashamed. When Trattoria was first on 4th near Burrard the food was amazing. Not so any longer.

This location is great sometimes but really inconsistent in terms of both service and food. The same dish will be dry some days and soupy others. I had the lobster ravioli recently and it tasted almost sickly - it was overrich and virtually unseasoned. The servers are mostly lovely.

We made reservation for four person for our marriage anniversary. We ordered drinks and starter and waited and waited for drinks. We gave reminder, finished our starter and still waited and again reminded. When we were just about to start main course we got our drinks. It was not served actually when It should have been. When we ordered pizza we asked for chilli flakes and oil but we never got it. Not once we were asked if everything was okay. Later the server told my husband “dessert is on us. Order anything” She told this later to my daughter too and when we ordered she came to us and told “oh just one, is that okay? Obviously!!!!! She could have been it crisp and clear that one dessert is on us why after we ordered then only she had to come and tell that. Sorry but that is not at all professional behaviour. Our special occasion was turned into a bad experience and our mood was spoiled.

Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. There were rats everywhere in and out of the restaurant. Not only that, but when I went to use the bathroom upstairs, I passed by the kitchen and they way they handled food was unbelievably nasty and this explains why I felt sick right after my meal. I am Italian and I tried pizza and tiramisu. The pizza was really good and the tiramisu was perfect. I am from the city were tiramisu was invented, and here they use the original receipt and the result is "wow"! I really appreciate also their hospitality. Very nice staff! My wife comes from a family that owns an important restaurant in Italy since many generations and she agrees with me on the food and services and everything! We will come back again!

We've been to Trattoria few times now for both lunch and dinner. Staff are knowledgeable and service is fast and professional. Food is really good and certainly justifies the above average price. They have specials through-out the week (pasta special on Wednesdays). Location is convenient with lots of parking all around. The only thing that management can work on is the table arrangement. The place is a little crammed and tight, too many tables. Deserts are a real treat! Make sure to try the caramel custerd :)

When we were being seated there were flies everywhere, also we saw a rat throughout the restaurant which wasn’t pleasant. They also do not follow COVID-19 protocols and the basic safety measures.

Went in today for an early dinner. Did not receive service after being seated for 20 minutes, not even water. Eventually asked for some water but then was not served again for 20 minutes. It seem too intimidating/fancy for a normal person but it is quite friendly and the service is quite attentive. Order there signature spaghetti and meatballs it was all delicious except when I had there meatballs by them selves; I found It a bit bland, they got me new ones, apologized, and after I finished they nullified the meal! (Quite honestly blown away) paid for just the drink I ordered and left them happy! Definitely would want to go there again when I get the chance!

Food Poisoning :( I wanted to let you know that my friend and I came here for happy hour on Jan 4 at 3pm and got food poisoning. It was both our first meal other than coffee earlier in the morning. We had sangria, calamari and each a pizza. We came home and instantly I got a stomach ache but his was more severe chills and pain. This is concerns me and should inspect what’s going on in your kitchen or food handling processes. Our first time here and quite disappointed. However the server was extremely polite during the meal.

I had a wonderful time here, THE Friendliest Staff I have ever experienced! And Spencer made me the best dammed Pick me up I have ever had. Bring your family and enjoy the one of a kind experience. I Had the Meat balls, they were Fantastic. And I had a plate of thinly sliced beef, topped with Arugula, pickled onions, and some other tasty ingredients. I Swear it was the best tasting meal I have had in years. I definitely plan on bringing my entire family when we make a trip to Vancouver.

I came in a couple days ago and I’ve been here with my sister a couple of times and loved the food and the staff but the other day, when I came in, a lady that I had never seen before was clearly frowning at the customers and she dropped off our food and didn’t offer any parmesan or pepper like they always usually do. I had to ask a server a couple minutes later as our food got colder. I asked a server who she was and was told it was the manager. I was surprised to find out that a manager who clearly can’t do her job was at the front of house frowning at all the customers. Very unfortunate.

Pasta on trattoria are amazing for the price. Pasta Tuesday is the best. Lobster and crab ravioli is tasty with a really nice lemony aroma. Carpaccio is really nice and light Arancine was really flavourful The lamb with risoto is really well served and great flavour For me, the pizza wasn’t that great, but the rest is pretty good.

WORST PLACE EVER! Waiter yelled at my wife over a four dollar 'protein' extra that was never order. Management and concierge would not do anything about it, finally the manager was very generous to 'waive' the $4 Come to Trattoria if you want to be overcharged, and yelled at if you complain!

Although the dishes are delicious, Trattoria is very overpriced. The Park Royal location in particular is super busy at dinner time, so watch out! I spent over half an hour waiting for a table for three. Another couple, who actually had a reservation, waited the same amount of time. However while waiting, appetizers were offered and service was very kind. Absolutely avoid Trattoria's busy times.

Expensive for what it is and the servers are informed to upsell the mains to a “tray” to be shared between two people even though it’s less food for more money. The lamb dish we both wanted to order usually comes with risotto milanese, but with the tray it’s just a greasy pesto penne which we were not informed of before when we got upsold. The meat was also mostly bones, definitely not worth the $60. I wouldn’t recommend this place

Stopped for brunch at trattoria after walking seawall. Was very disappointed in my meal. I had shrimp eggs benedict. The potatoes were dried out and cool and the eggs benedict was tasty but cold so not a very enjoyable meal.

Went on a Sunday afternoon as everywhere else was packed. Soup of the day was good, so was the spaghetti. Waitress was a bit slow with getting our drinks. We also had a pizza we could not finish and requested a box for take home. The pizza is quite large, the box was not. Had to wait another 10 minutes to get an actual pizza box. I've been here countless times and have never experienced good service. The staff always seem confused and rarely have a good attitude. The last time a man bussing the tables kept knocking into my 91 year old grandmother and had no sense of anyone around him. My food is always either over or undercooked; there is no sense of consistency. The location on West 4th is much better.

It's been a long time since I got to dine in my favorite Park Royal restaurant. Their new staff are fantastic. It's probably the best service on the North Shore. Ereene is a very professional capable and amiable server, she gives off Sofia Loren vibes and pays attention to every order and customer need. The food presentation has been changed with bigger servings and more interesting flavors. Everything was awesome. Flatbread, Mussels, Calamari, polenta fries, spaghetti with meatballs now come with a fresh mozzarella ball. The lamb shank is big and fall off the bone tender. Chicken parmigiana and piccata were both tender and moist.

This is a great location with a lovely rooftop patio if you're here in the summer time. Love their lunch menu. Great portions and lots of options for vegetarians. Mixed feelings with this place. The veal parmigiana (milanesa) was good. The kids pasta was mediocre like dry pasta you would make at home. The calamari was ok but the sauce was terrible. And for some reason the Hawaiian pizza does have bell peppers? I didn't read the ingredients but you would expect a regular Hawaiian pizza ingredients, not a lot of bell peppers on it. The crust of the pizza tasted like a cheap pizza with cheap oil in those fast food places (that would not qualify as pizza anywhere in Italy). I would say, skip this place or order a veal parmigiana ha. Maybe there are some good things in the menu but I wouldn't try again a "trattoria" without real pasta or real pizza

I'm shocked this place has such bad reviews. I came here twice for breakfast and I had two great experiences , I had the eggs Benedict , I thought it was just awesome. Nice homemade Potatoes and the salad are a nice touch. The hollandaise is more of a bernaise but it was still good. Nicely presented. The prices are great too. Atmosphere is great and usually pretty busy. Service was average. No wait at the door and prompt the come to the table for drink refills , quality checks etc. Although when someone gives you 100$ for an 78$ bill and asks for change , don't bring back 20$ bring back 5s and a ten if you want a tip. Great place for breakfast !!

The happy hour used to be SO good!! Now their “spaghetti” is Ragu on noodles. Got rid of my favourite menu item (no big deal I’m open to lots) but when I ordered it, he brought me something wrong then got mad at ME for not being informed it was on the menu anymore

I love the meat ball spaghetti at Trattoria. The pinot grigio wine is absolutely amazing. If you plan to go on a Friday or Saturday night, make sure to reserve a table beforehand. Otherwise, the chances are low to find a table

Went to dinner with two of my friends here tonight. First time eating here and first time at a restaurant since last year. Our server was amazing! Quick to greet us and quick to get our drink orders. I do not remember what my drink was called. It was one of the virgin drinks. Very sweet and delicious. For my main, I had the Linguini Carbonara..oh it was so delicious! The best carbonara I have had at a restaurant. For dessert, the Italian doughnuts. Absolutely delicious! If you want a delicious pasta, amazing service, covid safe eating, and a lovely atmosphere, I cannot recommend this one enough

Use to be my favorite restaurant and I use to go every week. For my surprise they reduced the menu and considerably reduced the amount on the plate, but the price did not decrease... I believe that something has changed in management because the drop in quality is clear.

Shocking example of customer service. Our server constantly pushed us to order more even though we had said we were just having drinks and some nibbles; then we saw her storm out the fire escape and slam the door shut. You would think management would apologise, nope just a sarcastic quip and then we were practically ignored for the rest of our time here.

I wouldn't recommend. This review is based solely on the food and value as we got take out. The beet salad was decent and almost got me to leave 2 stars. The burrata and prosciutto appy had very little cheese. It had a decent amount of prosciutto but I wasn't expecting to pay $21 for a plate of mostly prosciutto. The biggest problem was the Pappardelle Al Filleto... It wasn't good. It seriously reminded me of being a bachelor and making beef stroganoff with hamburger helper. Unfortunately when I'm paying $27.45 for a small to medium serving of pasta I expect it to be pretty amazing. Not only was it not amazing it was below average. If the food was grossly overpriced for the quality and flavour that was delivered which is why I give this a 1 star.

This is our go to place in West Van! The staff are very welcoming, attentive and consistent. On our first try, the owner himself brought us the food and he's really nice and funny. The happy hour menu is as great as their regular menu. And the White Sangria? a must! We always get them in pitcher coz one glass is not enough :) We've tried almost half their menu and nothing disappointed us yet. We always start with the calamari and end our visit with their tiramisu. I've always recommended this place to friends visiting Park Royal, and so far they all loved it too!

We were there for dinner. Unfortunately our experience did not go well even though I like this Restuarant. We have been waiting for 20 minutes to get the servant at the table. When they served the food there was no cutlery at the table we ended up to ask for it. When they realized that we are not happy with service, the manger showed up and apologized. She offered us free drinks and desert. Drinks showed up when I almost done with my food and then when I asked for the bill she offered the desert. The desert showed up very late almost 20 minutes later. They really need to improve the service.

Went to Trattoria today for brunch with the family and we had a terrible experience. The lady behind the bar prepping the deserts was eating , licking her fingers while she was peeping the food . It was very disturbing! besides that it took over 1 hour to get our food and the waiter kept forgetting to bring our drinks. My 4 years old got her food way after everyone , we had to return a meal cause it was so terrible and most of the food was over cooked or raw. Very disappointing, we will not be returning there .!!!!!

Pleasantly surprised! I hadn't been here before but after a very quick wait we were seated for the $13 Tuesday promotion. There's a good selection of pasta and pizzas but if you want quantity go for the meatballs. All the food was good and they offered a complimentary meatball each as an appetizer. A bit unusual, but hey, it was good! Service was friendly and chatty. Definitely a place suitable for families. The manager and server definitely made this a good experience. There is plenty of parking at Park Royal if you don't hit peak times. Will return.

This is a great Italian eatery on the north shore with late night specials conveniently located in the shopping centre with easy street parking and bus routes nearby. I highly recommend checking the website for happy hours. After 9pm you can find scrumptious $13 pizzas, $9 appetizers and $5 glasses of wine or beer. The seafood pizza was succulent with delicious prawns and the calamari came uniquely paired with a rich, tomato sauce. Pizza bases are light and fluffy. Staff are friendly. A good place to bring family. There are some seats at the bar if needed, a very large venue. #italian #pizza

A good Italian restaurant with big portions and good quality. Sardinian stuffed egg plant was very good. Try that if you like egg plants. Short ribs papardale was also very good. We tried the tiramisu as well which is enough for two.

My sister and I came here for dinner for the first time yesterday. Our food was excellent, but my pasta was rather cold. The owner was exceptionally kind and came over to check in during our meal. When we told him about the pasta being cold, he was quick to offer my pasta be remade and when I told him I was full, he suggested complimentary dessert. Our dining experience was lovely and it felt like a family restaurant that we will both definitely be coming back to. Thank you for the wonderful customer service!

Hello. My bday party and I of eight just left your location because of an awful experience. We are going to the Keg across the street as a result. We will also not be considering any Glowbal Restaurants until this is resolved Here are some of the issues we encountered: - Waiting 30 minutes for our first drinks to arrive - Poor quality drinks - my old fashioned was not actually an old fashioned and three people received drinks that had sat for so long that the ice had melted to water them down - No one asking us if our food was okay - Three times a person came by our table with a dish asking if we had ordered it when we had not - A manager that did not write down our second drink order (four drinks) and got a couple of them wrong - Two of our six bills were wrong and one of them was over charged - One of the hot meals being served on a cold plate which made the food cold - After raising the issue of waiting 30 minutes for a drink, no one seemed to care (note above no one coming by and asking if our food and drinks above) The manager seemed so uncaring that even one of our table members felt that she should speak to her directly. Who wants to do that when out for a fun, social time? You lost money tonight as we left to go drink at another place. You lost money in the future at this point. It's not right to do this to a bday party. I hope you take the opportunity to address this as typically I have had awesome experiences are your restaurants.

It used to be so good but I have watched the quality fall for the past few years. The service is still good but the quality of the drinks and food has fallen. Our drinks were practically all ice and maybe a tablespoon of alcohol. The food was okay but it lacks the flavours and excitement that it used to have. They used to have this amazing vodka tomato gnocchi but switched to a creamy pesto which doesn’t work as well and is far too greasy. Can’t really say we’re down to come back.

Serving staff wandering around aimlessly. Sat for 15mins in a dead restaurant while staff argued about who's responsibility we were. Food was just.. fine. Too much time spent on presentation and lacked practicality. 2 shavings of a bun for toast. Eggs over cooked. We'd have mentioned all of this had anyone asked. Manager meandering around as tho lost. Quality ingredients in food was there so 2 stars.

This place is terrible.They can not handle a big group.Our server didn't know how to do her job.All the food were medium to very low quality. When my husband asked one of the staff why his drink is late,the answer was " there is only one person and a big group!!!! You need to wait!!! Are you kidding me !!! What kind of customer service is this????the worst part was when we wanted to pay our bills: a big mix up!they had to redo my bills 3 times and of course no apology ever.!And this wasn't only for us ! The big group of 30 people they all had the same issue! Very unacceptable! I will never go back to this place... terrible... absolutely terrible!!!!
