Good food and good portions! I got the chicken phad Thai and the spring rolls. The Phad Thai was very good, nothing to rave about but still delicious. It had no spice (but I enjoy that). The spring rolls were ANAZING, I loved them. The customer service was great and I’d definitely order from here again.

Friendly little place in West Vancouver, locally owned and operated. The gentleman (and owner, server) was very kind and attentive. I came with a group of 4 with a baby; we all enjoyed the dishes, even the baby. Will be back!

I dropped a star because when I went yesterday and the pad thai had a lot of rancid peanuts which made the whole dish inedible. The oyster beef was good but nothing special. A lovely man greeted us at the counter today. Their lunch special must be the best value meal in West Van - a decent portion of an entree of your choosing + a salad for $10.50 (including tax). I had the Pad Thai (delicious!) and will be back to try the other items.

Excellent Thai food here and friendly service

It’s rare your find a place with one of these: original flavours, stand-up comedy service, or a transporting atmosphere. Thai Pudpong has all three and is complete with “Le Chateau Capilano”, complimentary for each guest. There is nothing like this place (or that bottle) I’ve ever had before. See for yourself...

Favourite Thai food in West Van! Great size portions for a great price. Ordered it to go and it was very quick. Phad thai is the best. Wonderful owners!!

Would not recommend the Vegetable Delight. It was not delightful, and a bit boring/sad tbh, dish of steamed veggies with some peanut sauce on the side. No stir fried veggies to speak of. My friends' choices looked better though.

Sarrah Janoowalla

Really yummy food, professional and kind employees, and it was located right near the water. ✌????

Huang Sally

The food is so traditional. The best Thai food in town.

Cedar Pine

Worst Thai food I have experienced in Vancouver. Ordered yellow chicken curry, the vegetables weren't even cooked and soup was watered down. The chicken larb lettuce wraps were bland and boring . The beef in the nam neua was so tough and hard and lacked flavor. And what Thai restaurant does not offer a spice rack? SO disappointed. We will never go back. This is a disgrace to Thai food!

My family decided to stop in based on the yelp reviews, and especially with less folks dining out, wanted to support the local business. Service seated us immediately and was attentive. We ordered the spring rolls, panaeng curry and vegetable pad thai. The spring rolls came and were fresh and delicious. However, this unfortunately changed when the Pad Thai and Panang Curry came. It appeared and tasted frozen, and the food was lukewarm. When we brought this to our servers attention, they indicated it could be reheated. We asked for it to be made fresh. This brought the owner over, who indicated nobody had ever complained about his food before, that we had let it get cold at our table and said "we can remake it, but please don't complain again". Unfortunately, we started digging in the moment it arrived at our table....so not quite true. At this point, we immediately got concerned about what would happen in the kitchen, with the owner insinuating that we wanted to complain. We decided to leave, and will not return. Rating: 2 stars for the spring rolls. Verdict: won't be back

This restaurant is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. Whenever I feel like having a good dinner, this is the place that comes immediately to my head. best and diverse food and a rich menu.great staff, and nice spirit. In addition to that, the expence is decent. I sent my friends to this restaurant with no doubt.

This is the authentic Thai restaurant run by Thai owner and chef. Some menu ex son tum(papaya salad) is good but some menu is not good enough ex Thai green curry

Banafsheh Afshar

Cute and cozy! The food is so delicious. Their “sticky rice with mango” is a must try! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Thai meal.

Loved, loved, LOVED IT!!! Just stumbled upon this little gem in West Van. The service was very friendly, fast, and the food was sublime!!! So tasty and filling and the prices are so decent. Am going to be a regular here for sure!!!

James Lee

Just might be the best Thai food in town. Red curry with beef/peanut was absolutely delicious.

Lindsey Ross

Really delicious Thai food. We found this place on a whim on our way to Cypress. I enjoyed the Pad Thai, Thai iced team and mango sticky rice at the end. All lovely. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. I would definitely go back and recommend it!

Quality of the food here is simply terrible. I ordered take out Noodle Rama - $13 on the menu. It was literally plain boiled rice noodles, a few scraps of carrot and cucumber and 5 pieces of boiled chicken. All with a little tasteless peanut sauce on top. It was barely edible. People who think this is anything close to authentic Thai food clearly have no idea what they're talking about. Go to Subway across the street. You won't get ripped off and the food is tastier.

We ordered takeout from this place for the first time and it wasn’t good, and was extremely overpriced. We ordered spring rolls, panang prawn curry, and vegetarian delight. The spring rolls were greasy in an “old oil” kind-of-way. The curry had overcooked chewy, recently defrosted prawns, with a curry that tasted like it came from a package. The vegetarian dish had vegetables (carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage) that tasted like they were recently defrosted and somewhat steamed and came with 1/4 cup of what appeared to be some peanut butter with oil and chili paste and an acid with some sugar to balance it out. These guys still use styrofoam, which is really unfortunate. Save your money, make some rice at home and steam some veg. This place not worth it.

On my pattented "Bowl of noodles" scale, I give this place 7/7 bowls of noodles. The food was great and the service was spectacular. Our waiter was so charming and funny, he made the experience so welcoming and fun. Highly recommend trying it out

Herman K

Food was delicious. Friendly service. Patio seating. Curry with peanut sauce is must-try!

Mark Williams

This used to be my favourite Thai joint growing up. The Tom kha or Tom yum soups are their best dishes. The spring rolls and curries are pretty good. The pad Thai and fried veggies are not their best thing on the menu

R

Reliable hole in the wall Thai food. Good portions and friendly staff make for a nice experience. Good selection for lunch specials (roughly $11 after tax). Chicken fried rice, garlic pork and the stir fried Thai noodles are all wins (not sure what the menu offers for the vegetarian/vegan community).

Alissa

Delicious portions at a fair price. Really appreciate the quick and friendly service with a smile. Great option when the craving for Thai hits; we will be back!

Linh Tran

Good value for the price. Their Yumnue (beef salad) is a must to try.

Kelly Meroniuk

Really tasty food at an affordable price. They can do most of the menu gluten free just street no sauce. I would recommend the phad Thai!

Emily

AMAZING FOOD. Best spring rolls I have ever had, also the biggest haha. Hands down recommend this place to anyone looking for some good tasty Thai food! Coming back again soon

David Y (Yipper)

Really small and cozy restaurant. Service is prompt, personal and entertaining! Yellow curry was a little different than what we expected. Red curry, chicken with peanut sauce and spinach and pad thai were excellent.

Jonathan Howes

Looked this up on Yelp and it has average reviews but we decided to go anyway. Glad we did because Yelp is wrong. This is hands down a five star place, it is AWESOME. Food was hot, fresh and straight out of the wok. Staff and owner super friendly. Had the nights special,a beef Curry that was really to quality. Only negative was the toilet, which was a bit too authentically Thai (if you know what I mean). ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent choice for Thai food in West Vancouver. The service was fantastic, the owner was friendly and helped out with serving. You can tell he takes pride in his restaurant. The pad thai was delicious and tasted much like a restaurant in Bangkok.

Luna G

Absolutely delicious authentic Thai food! We love going here. The service is great, the food is amazing and prices are very reasonable. Their lunch specials are $10 and they’ve got many options as well! Would highly recommend this to anyone who loves Thai food!

Jeremy Golden

An absolutely fantastic restaurant in every way. Do yourself a favour - Go in for lunch or dinner on a cloudy/wet day and get the Spicy Green Curry with a Thai ice tea. You will not regret it: Portion Size/Price: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Service: 11/10

Pierre-Luc Mongrain

I went there without any recommendation... It was stunning. The Red Curry is excellent. Seems to be family owned. Would come again without hesitation..!

Laura M

The space is really nice and our server was friendly. There was a steady stream of take out order pick ups while I was there but I feel like I ordered the wrong thing however being vegetarian there were only two entree options. I ordered the Vegetarian Delight and got mostly stir fried cabbage, a couple pieces of broccoli and cauliflower, a few carrots and some cucumber in a watery peanut sauce that was probably made watery from the cabbage and cucumber. A more robust vegetable selection and the option to add some tofu would have made this a better dish. I'll try to order take out from there, it seemed everyone was ordering the curries, perhaps I will see if they can do a veggie one even though that option is not on the menu.

Grace Waeohongsa

I love Thai Pudpong Yum Neua ( Beef Salad) A lot of Thai people like this restaurants. Sometimes they offer special dishes but you have to order in advance. Great service. Nice dishes.

Amanda Look

Authentic Thai Food in the North Shore. We true the Stuffed Chicken Wings, Pad Thai, Green Curry and Deep Fried Banana (we were so full but we couldn't resist some dessert) - All were excellent! Will definitely be back to try some other menu items.

Matthew Ramey

This is a small and amazing Thai restaurant serving authentic made from scratch deliciousness. Spiciness to order. Lots of gluten free, also made to order. We are lucky to have this on the north shore.

Jason Wong

Overall is great, but every food tastes are similar.

An Te Chu

Excellent. Extremely reasonable prices, especially for West Van. Generous and delicious rama noodles. Sauce is not spicy as advertised but quite tasty. Friend had pudpong noodles and enjoyed.

Rolf Gobran

We dined in and the atmosphere was nice enough but the food wasn’t good. My wife ordered the duck which tasted old and was really chewy. Hard pass for the future.

Steve Denroche

Been going here for decades. Still the best pad thai in the city and our go to destination for Thai food. Drunken seafood tastes as good as it sounds.

jasmine hu

Truly a gem on the north shore!! you must try this place out! Service is excellent and unbeatable. Price is unbeatable. Best Thai food! Lunch specials are amazing! Very tasty and fresh... You must try this place out!

Jason Douglas

Always a great option for lunch (or dinner). Lunch specials are fabulous and always quick. A great healthy alternative to fast food at a similar price. Staff is friendly and the food is very consistent. Definitely a place I will go back to. Well worth a try if you like Thai food and are near West Vancouver.

Susan Matheson

Fast and friendly service however pad thai was very disappointing. Just 3 shrimp and seemingly no sauce on the noodles. Spring rolls were very good though.

David T

Excellent Thai food served by a very friendly gentleman. He's really a hoot and makes the excellent meal that much more enjoyable. I have been four times for lunch and had their $10 special each time. You get a very basic salad with peanut dressing (iceberg and shaved carrots), steamed white rice and a good portion of food so all in all a good value. I have never had any appetizers so I cannot comment on whether or not they are good or fairly priced. I'll try some plus dinner next time.

Was at Ambleside with my wife and daughter so decided to drop in and try this place out . The food was incredible . Especially the green curry omg . And the older gentlemen who was servicing us what an incredibly friendly man . What touched my heart the most about this place is as soon as I walked in and sat down with my infant daughter the server comes and gives a small plate of rice for my daughter to eat immediately and she was really hungry. This gesture really was amazing and to the older gent sir you are amazing keep living your life and spreading love with your humour and personality . I’m gonna be a regular now . Thank you for everything .

Judith Gauge

My go to Thai. Love their green curry and Chicken Satay. The best. Edit, just discovered the spring rolls, we order double, just too good.

Amanda

I’ve been going here since I was a child, and it’s truly such a gem. The staff are so kind and the food is always perfect.

J. MIles

Perhaps it was just the dish I got, but it was not satisfying at all. Small portion, and overpriced. I paid 12$ for a small plate of undercooked veggies, coated in a very bland sauce I could buy for 50 cents at a grocery store. I then asked whether it came with rice, but he informed me that was an additional cost. My girlfriend's phad thai looked much better. If you ever want to go to an amazing thai restaurant in Vancouver that has excellent prices with great portions, try out Lemongrass Thai bistro. Even the service there is great!

Toni Tichauer

Very quaint interior, old building. But good food and all takeout right now. Flying out the door in quantity ???? so that says a lot. The gentlemen there has a lovely dry sense of humour.
