Great place. Excellent food. Friendly service. Pleasant room. What more could you want? The basmati rice with saffron is the best I have ever had. A chicken dish with pomegranate paste was truly exotic. The olives in some seasoning are a geat social starter. Many things to try yet. Never had anything this good in Teheran.

A very good Persian restaurant and if I could, I would give it 4.5 stars! This is my first visit and review for Rose Persian Cuisin restaurant. Our visit was on a Saturdays night for a party of 7. Initial impressions was very good on arrival. We were greeted promptly and since there were only two other guests, we had a choice of seating for our group. The restaurant was very clean, roomy and bright and I would describe it as a casual atmosphere. We found the service to be very good as our server was attentive, freindly and helpful with menu items. All our drinks and food came out as ordered and in a timely manner. I would say the food here is very good. The portions were very generous, the quality was great and overall well-presented. I ordered the Soltani kebab and it was very tastey, and found myself favoring the kobedeh kebab over the barg. I did taste the Joojeh (chicken) kebab and it was equally tastey, moist and delicious. We also had the eggplant starter, which was very delicious and our server brought extra bread without having to ask for more. We found the price of the meals to be very reasonable as well. Although the restuarant was empty when we arrived, by the time we left the restuarant (around 7:30 pm) we noticed most of the tables were filled with dinners. My recommendation for ordering any meal is to ask for half rice, half salad; this way you still get ample rice along with a choice of house salad or Persian salad. Fittingly all the tables also had a few fresh roses in vase If you liked my unbiased review and found it helpfull please give it a thumbs up. Thanks

Good customer servis and nice place. We ordered Barely Soup and Tahchin, soup tasted like a tomato sauce! And Tahchin was so dry, every spoon I had to drink water! But their Kebabs are always tasty, and I love their bread

I have been here only 3 or 4 times, but the food was outstanding. Being from California, we are known for our Persoan restaurants. Rose, while some of its menu iterms do not make sense price wise, it has never disappointed me or my frineds. I strongly recommend the Half Saladand half green rice and lamb shank. The salad I like is Shirazi (like the wine) which has a lot of lemon juice. The lamb shank comes in a rich tomato souce. You would think two sour food would not work together. Surprisingly they do. The Persian stews -- Gaymeh and Gormeh sabzi are outstanding. While I adore Vancouver's sushi. This restaurant makes me want to give up salmon sashimi and BC roll, which may be helathier options, but nowhere as tasty, specially while in west Van.

The food is not dryed at all like other restaurants great service awsemone people working here i would recommend this restaurant 100% to anyone if your trying new persian food, or if your persian and you eat alot of kebab you should try this resturant too. And i would say you should get bakhtiyari its awesome.

I rather go to mcdonald than this. I went there two times, rice was cold as they took out from fridge and the lamb shank wasnt cooked that well. The owner has an attitude, i told him the rice is cold and he said in Farsi ee sarde alan gamesh mikonam. No apology.... well i guess these kinda resturants would go on bankrupcy soon. Trust me owner!

Rose restaurant is the best! We were there with 3 guests last Saturday.we ordered 2 plate of rose royal.the food quality was great.it was a little busy so I recommend to reserve a table before going.the prices are ok and the food service was pretty good.the persian lady servant was very friendly and gave us good advice to choose the food.you have to be careful about the jalapeño peppers!!!they are extremely hot!!hope to go there sooner.

The chicken was dry, the tadeeg is ALWAYS old. Always. And the service was NOT good. We asked for a specific side dish (that we could see through the window to the kitchen) and the waiter said "It will included in your meal." Our meal comes around and the side was no where to be seen! We asked him what happened and he said they ran out! During this whole debacle the OWNER of this establishment was giving MY GRANDMOTHER dirty looks! They were rushed and understaffed. The food was average, except as mentioned above. Seriously, just go somewhere else.

The food is so good, big portions, reasonable price , but the service form the waitresses is horrible specially the girl with the short hair , I come into the restaurant and the girl walks by me few times without even acknowledging me, she finally asks me how many ppl I say only me , and instead of taking me to my table she point with finger where I should sit, and while I'm having my food I wanted order some tahdig on the side she told me there is still some on your plate and I should eat that instead , and I cant order more, and at last I wanted to get rest of my food to go, the guy next to me they take his plate and have it to go for him but for me the server brought me some to go box and said here u pack it your self , I'm fine with that but at least treat all your customers the same .... wont eat in anymore I'll get it to go from now on ...

Food is ok but what is most shocking is the rudeness of the owner! ordered for pick up, went to pick our food up and just asked a question and he literally gave me a death stare and cut me off as he if just wanted me to leave. very rude, very unprofessional. We used to have a good experience which i think after Corona the quality is not the same anymore. The bread not even as tasty as before. The service was so poor. We have to beg for regular service such a bread, onion and even butter. Her service was so slow as well. Camper to service and quality food is so pricy too. Sorry for this poor comment. I tried more than one time after Covid-19. I thought that maybe it's just happened. Unfortunately I didn't get a good expression at all.

The lady server wasn’t nice to us. She just insisted us to seat near the kitchen counter but we already explained it’s too hot in that area. She wasn’t polite and never smiled at us. We always eat here and the food is good. Only the thing that makes me upset is how she treated us and I brought new friends with me. This experience with my friends makes me sad a bit. The Koobedeh Kabob is really good. The best in the Greater Vancouver Area. Rice could be a LITTLE softer. Great flavours, great service, open comfy space. The restaurant is better than Cazba in Vancouver in every area. For $2.45 I was underwhelmed when they served dough out of a Arvand pre packaged bottle. It should either be free or they should make the dough in house. The prices are also great for the food. I'm not saying it's the cheapest in town but it's better so also more expensive.

Perfect Persian food with a very calming environment. The quality of the food is amazing even for the tricky Persian stews like "Fesenjoon". We also tried the lamb shank that was greatly flavored and delicious. The fresh bread comes with the food and you would also have some tasty crunchy "Tahdig" in your dish. Finally, the staff are polite and caring, and I will definitely give a 5-star to this restaurant.

I always go there for the Koobideh. Compared to the other options on north shore, rose seems to have the best portions, and overall taste to their beef. It's very juicy, and the skewers are decent size.

Highest quality ingredients and products. Super delicious. I usually can't have rice, but Rose is the only place in town that offers high-quality rice (and the way they prepare it) that i can eat. My husband and I had never eaten authentic Persian food before, and our friends who live in the surrounding Vancouver area suggested we go for dinner at this place, since they had a great experience previously. The setting is cozy, a mix of booths and tables. I ordered the varizi kebab combo plate, which features one boneless chicken kebab skewer and one kubideh (ground beef) kebab. I was NOT prepared for the portion size! I could easily make a minimum of three meals from the plate presented to me! In addition to the skewers, there was also a HUGE portion of delicious basmati rice, a grilled tomato, a grilled pepper, and what I believe is pickled cabbage. The skewers were absolutely delicious - tender and filled with savory flavor. The basmati rice was incredibly fragrant and delicious as well. Five stars for a job well done! Now if only I can find a Persian restaurant with comparable food in the greater Boston area where I live!

The chicken skewers were very good nice and moist, full of flavor. The Kubideh Kebab was very flavorful and the Barg Kebab was tender and very enjoyable, also had the Smoked Eggplant Dip which was nice and hot. Definitely will return to this restaurant.

Thanks for asking. I should say that atmosphere, cleanliness, service was good but food quality was not as I expected. My order was Tahchin (Meat) and looks like it's been cooked hours before and just warm it up for serving and was not fresh however I know this food can't be cooked at the time of ordering. To me, it was not tasty though but had very nice presenting and big portion.

So I was in the neighbourhood at Sabai planning for lunch somewhere nearby and noticed Rose one block away, and decided to give it a shot. I must admit, it was the nicest Persian food I had for quite sometime. I had Soltani, half rice half chopped Shirazi salad. The plate was BEAUTIFUL and colorful. Everything was so delicious. The decor was also nice and I enjoyed my booth. The server was also nice and she came over to ask if I am enjoying my food. Recommended and will go back!

Chicken Kebab plate was made fresh, and was delicious! I'm a big eater and took enough home for another meal. My only feedback would be: a homemade hot sauce would be a great addition instead of Frank's Red Hot Sauce. However I did discover the grilled jalapeno served with the dish was plenty spicy! This place is the best Persians restaurant in the whole Greater Vancouver area! I have been there few times and I was never disappointed. The food quality is a real good one, real persian cuisine (Kababs and Stews with baked in the store yummy Bread)with reasonable prices. Friendly and polite staff+ great services. I also went during CoVid pandemic and their cleanliness among all the staff was much higher than my expectations. Highly recommend this restaurant. Good job guys.

I've been going to rose for a long time now and I think the quality of the food has been getting better and better every-time I go. You get a lot for your money, all the kabobs are big, fresh and juicy. Their customer service is great, they always keep checking on you and make sure you have everything that you need. It is hands down the best Persian food in West Vancouver and one of the best in North shore. Definitely recommend.

I ordered "zereshk polo" on Monday. It was by far the WORST Persian meal and zereshk polo I had! The tomato sauce was so thick and strong. I couldn't taste the chicken. The sauce on salad was way too much as well. If you get salad there, you wanna ask them to put the sauce on the side. I asked the server not to put any tomato on my salad and guess what? they forgot!! The servers did not ask us if we are OK with our food or not. Even when I asked for the bill and the server saw I did not eat my food, did not bother to ask! Such a bad experience. I wish I had an option of giving them NO STAR!

Have been eating at Rose for the last few years. Last experience a week ago was disappointing. Had ordered chicken kebab. However, the chicken was unc0ooked in the center. I had mentioned this to the waiter. He then went in the kitchen and came came back and said they can't do anything. Anyways, he said he will cook the chicken pieces left on my plate. What I learned was the took my eaten pices and stuck them on the skewer again. Anyways, I don't normally complain.. I will not set foot in this restaurant again. Something must have change along with the prices..

Very nice food, reasonable price, good service and big portion. We had the salmon kebab, Vaziri boneless kebab, smoked eggplant dip. Try the fava bean rice instead of the basmatic rice for a change. I personally feel that the bread is a bit dry. If it is softer then it is perfect with the smoked eggplant dip.

Smoked eggplant and their special bread is recommended. Sabzi polo was good as well. Waitress was so polite and kind. But lamb Shake Kabab and Ghorme sabzi stew (As the main courses) were not only tasteless unfortunately but kabab was not marinated at all So l could feel the smell of Lamb! Strongly in my mouth). Also their drink menu is so limited. No option for dessert than Baklava. Overall I might not like to try this restaurant again.

Man you give a lot of rice, more than anyone can eat. The rice you get with kebab can feed atleast 4 people . Food tasted good but I am a vegetarian so not a good option for me coz my order had only onions huge load of rice and tomatoes. Well I dont want to complain because that's authentic. That kind of food is not my style coming from south Asia. But still people were nice and ambience was good.

I'm a relative newbie when it comes to Persian food, so I was game to try this place out. We went at an odd time of day- around 3:30- and the place was packed, so you know that's a good sign. The portions were huge and my lamb was perfectly cooked. The salad was nice and fresh and I liked that water was brought right away. The servers were nice and showed me how to mix the doogh in the bottle before I opened it to drink. The only real negative was the awful music. It was 80s soft rock hits that had been muzak-ified. Not exactly authentic to the experience!

We very much enjoyed our visit. The service was friendly and prompt. The menu included all of the favorites and was in both English and Farsi. The meals were very tasty and the portions generous. We loved the atmosphere with a rose on each table and the interesting scrolling art display. I would recommend this place to any one who enjoys Persian style cuisine.

Update July 29/20: We have been there twice more in the last 2 months and we ate inside. I noticed the cooking staff were not wearing masks and that the waiter was only wearing a mask over his mouth and I thought well he is bringing our food and breathing down on top of it with his nose as he serves us. Unfortunately I won't be back even though it's our favorite Persian place, that we travel an hour to get to, until covid is over unless I see them wearing masks. I won't go into any restaurant unless they wear masks. Its most important compared to any other place of business that restsurants do that, as well as gloves. ________________________________________ Food was great. Service was great. My boyfriend said the Kebob Khoobideh was the best out of all the restaurants in North Van and Downtown. Not too dry just perfect. Also liked the sour and salty red cabbage on the side. Nice to have that bit of unique-ness to the plate. He also loved the grilled jalapeño!! My food was great too I just had to add some salt to the rice that's all. We will be back for sure.

The food here is simply delicious. There are a couple of very good Persian restaurants in Vancouver, but this place is definitely one of the best. It is very clean, the staff are friendly, and I really enjoy the overall atmosphere. It is also very close to the waterfront, so one can take a walk along the shore after the meal too.

Excellent quality Iranian food. Huge portions. We had Kashke Baademjaan (smashed smoked eggplants) as appetizer. They served freshly baked bread which tasted heavenly. Then the main course which was Barg, Koobideh, Joojeh and also Baaghaali Polo with Lamb Shank. Nothing disappointed and we ended up taking the left over with us. Most definitely recommended.

The kebabs are amazing.we tried Torsh kabab and vaziri and all were great.unfortunately the fava bean rice and lamb shank can be better.great customer service.we asked for tahdig but server said they are out of it then she brought us some free tahdig and said it was just ready then???? Although she was very busy but so patient. By the way the masto mosir is the best I’ve tried in Vancouver. Definitely going back to try other kebabs

The service in this place is lacking severely. They seated us adjacent to the door where we ended up putting our jackets on throughout the meal even though there were other tables around. When we told management if we could switch tables, since there were empty tables away from the door. He said they were 'reserved' and that he has to fill every seat in the restaurant then he simply shrugged and walked away. I was charged an extra for a meal simply because I didnt order rice. The servers arent bothered or interested in helping you in any way. The service is really bad. The food is average at best and even thats an overstatement. There are far better places that can at least treat you like they appreciate your business.

We had the strangest experience! The server walked up to our table 10 minutes after serving our food and said “we are closed in 2 minutes, do you want a container for your food?”.......the server also forgot our drinks and did not get our orders quite right which we were fine with as mistakes happen... but asking us to leave when we were having our first few bites was just over the top rude and unacceptable. Why take our order in the first place? No one can finish dinner in 12 minutes....!!!!! As for the food, it was very mediocre.... we love Persian food and have had much better quality food in other restaurants in the city.

Horrible service! There was a date seed in my soup which was unacceptable. It took the waitress 20 minutes to bring us the bill, and they forgot to bring us Tahdig when we ordered it twice and they forgot it both times! The rice was tasteless and the fries in Ghaymeh was as hard as a rock! NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!

The lamb shank that we order was burned and bitter but they still serve it to us that's why we asked them to change it and the kebab is not good as well. The pita bread was old (hard and cold). Relaxed neighborhood family restaurant serving distinctive and tasty appies and stews. Kebabs are featured, but we went for the dishes that were new to us. The olives with pomegranate, walnuts and herbs are a must sample starter. Unusual and delicious. The eggplant appetizer was sublime. Quantities were ample. We had leftovers despite an afternoon of cx skiing.

I went in during the week for lunch to get take out. I was directed to go to the end of the restaurant for a man who looked like the owner to take my order. He seemed busy being on the phone and also writing cheques and paying someone who made a delivery to the restaurant with supplies and I waited and waited for him to take my order. I thought that was very unprofessional and there should be a server there instead. Finally after taking my order he packaged it from the food that was ready and I waited 20 minutes for the chicken kebab to be prepared in the kitchen. However by the time the kebab came the rest of the food was already cold. At home and we are 5 mins away we had to reheat the food. The quality of food was (3.5 stars) good but service needs a lot of work (1) therefore my two star rating.
