Fantastic service and food for the area. Our waiter was extremely friendly and patient with us and was very attentive to us. We ordered the burger and the tacos and were pleasantly surprised by how good they both were. I would highly recommend the burger if you're looking for a solid and tasty order.

I always lower my expectations when going to gimmicky places as their food would usually be meh. BUT H Tasting Lounge definitely surprised me. Prices are reasonable given their location and we were in our private dome. Service was excellent. Staff was really friendly and genuine. The only thing I can pick on is the Brussel sprouts were too oily. But they were sooo yummy! All the dishes were delicious. Would definitely go back again!

Went for the winterlust at H Tasting Lounge really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The only downside is the minimum charge of $200 it's very difficult to consume $200 worth of food when the menu mainly served snacks with the most expensive item being only $24. Our server accidentally gave us the wrong info about our bill so we ended up over ordering food and drinks that we didn't really need to make the cut for $200... The incorrect info led us to spend over $350.

Happy Hour menu 3pm-5pm was what we went for and enjoyed everything —food-drink-atmosphere-service. Buck a shuck was great ... even though the oysters were small they were delicious. Then the fish tacos and sliders .... the smoky flavours and the picketed cabbage slaw in the fish tacos, with a very good sized piece of fish... probably one of my favourite fish tacos anywhere. Sliders were juicy and delicious. If you want a good cocktails... try the winter daiquiri... very Caribbean tasting drink... could drink a bucket of it!

H Tasting Lounge is one of my favorite spots in the city. Beautiful views, Instagram worthy aesthetic, awesome vegan options and carefully crafted cocktails. One of my favorite things, as someone who does not drink, is the effort their bartenders put in to crafting beautiful spirit-free drinks. The patio is incredible and I highly recommend checking it out!

Happy hour @ H Tasting lounge! They had a super small happy hour menu, but we were only here for one thing! The cheap $1 oysters! Most of the oysters were medium sized, but they gave us some large ones too. The fish taco and sliders were not as worth. For the price of one of those items, we could have gotten 6 more oysters! The prawn cocktail was pretty good though! If you plan to spend 200$ I recommend booking one of those dome/bubbles on the patio. They looked pretty awesome.

This past weekend I held a party at their H tasting lobby lounge and I was absolutely blown away by the service we got from David Vo. He was very accommodating right from the get-go. He went above and beyond my expectations. And even though he wasn’t there during the evening of the party he followed up with me and asked me if everything was going well. This level of service is hard to find in Vancouver. I hope the Marriott hotel group recognizes this gentleman. Thank you David!

We visited H Tasting Lounge on Friday evening to celebrate early Valentine's and Chinese New Year and also looking forward to the long weekend for Family Day. We parked at the separated parking lot and upon checking in with the hostess, provided or license plate for free parking. You don't need to pay at the lot. We made reservations online so we were seated quickly by the hostess. The lounge was lower dimmed with music which set the mood. It seemed lively and the tables were partitioned. The seats were quite comfortable. We ordered off the Dine out Vancouver menu for $35 and order some drinks. Our drinks True Lies cocktail and yuzu spritz. I ordered: 1) Kale salad - I love starting with salads and this was a really tasty salad with citrus dressing and spiced nuts. 2) pan seared salmon - perfectly cooked and bit salty for me but having it with the tomato relish cut down the saltiness. 3) Vanilla bean gelato - I shouldn't have finished it but I did because it was that good. My hubby order: 1) mushroom soup 2) pork belly 3) blueberry white chocolate cheesecake I did have some bites of the pork belly and wow, it was very rich and flavourful. It was a bit salty for my liking but I did ask for another bite to my husband's dismay :). My only issue from our first dining experience at H Tasting Lounge it took 30 minutes for our entrees from the time we received our appetizers. The staff did not provide us any updates or "check in", which I expected as common courtesy. We knew the wait was 30 minute as our food photos were timed stamped. I did notice the table next to us who were seated after we put our drink and food order in, they got their appetizers and entrees ahead of us and they also ordered off the Dine Out Vancouver menu. I though that was a bit odd. I would like to try the Winterlust dining experience if it still going in March 2021. We will see.

H Tasting Lounge is located in the lobby of the Westin Bayshore in the scenic Coal Harbour area of Vancouver. This small but spiffy dining area is a nod to one of their well-known guests… Howard Hughes who occupied the penthouse (of the then known Bayshore Inn) for 6 months back in the early 70’s. The sleek geometric lines, gold-hued accents, art deco decor and glitzy chandelier is most likely meant to evoke a sense of nostalgia for his earlier glamorous years before he became the recluse he was when he visited Vancouver. We visited in late April for their Cherry Blossom Festival Afternoon Tea Experience ($55 per person) which includes a selection of sweet and savory items as well as your choice of tea selection. I have to admit that things started off nicely enough with a box of teas to select from… it’s nice that you’re able to see and smell the various choices offered instead of just relying on a written description from a menu. After we made our selections, they brought out a somewhat over-the-top candy floss decorated plate with house-made confiture (jam), vanilla butter, signature Bayshore honey, and a small freshly baked scone for each diner (I suppose it is in keeping with the eccentric nature Howard Hughes was known for). There seems to be a couple of different presentations of their afternoon tea experience… one which includes a showy Ferris wheel with items precariously perched in each seat and the experience which we received where the items are presented in glitzy jewelry boxes. The items included with the afternoon tea experience is supposed to include a Prosciutto Croissant with arugula and lemon cottage cheese, a Deviled Egg, a quarter of a Japanese Red Bean Pancake, a Smoked Salmon Tea Sandwich with avocado purée and cucumber, and a Wild Mushroom and Bacon Pastry Cup. In addition, the sweets include a Matcha Mochi, Lemon Curd Tart, Passionfruit Mousse, and Tiramisu. As you can see below… they forgot to give us the Wild Mushroom and Bacon Pastry Cup (you kind of have to wonder if they would have forgotten this if they used the Ferris wheel instead). We wound up having to ask about the Wild Mushroom and Bacon Pastry Cup and they brought them out on a separate plate. Overall, I’d say that it’s definitely a pretty environment (complete with views of Coal Harbour and the Shogetsu or Shirofugen cherry blossoms in bloom outside the hotel). However, the food and service quality really doesn’t meet with the price of the experience. The one tiny scone was nice but our tea was given to us in a French Tea Press (while the other tables had individual tea pots). You could barely get 1 cup of tea out of these French Presses and they were not attentive enough to refill our tea often enough (I think we had one refill… so 2 cups of tea total). Service was a bit lackluster when compared with our expectations for such a grand environment. So, I’d say they pretty much nailed the flashy yet flawed Howard Hughes theme.

My family and I visited H Tasting Lounge's Winterlust domes for new years a few weeks back. The domes: We had a party of six and I would say anymore than six is too cramped. There was an adjustable ceiling heater and a central light inside. There was also an ipad for you to choose whatever song you would like to hear inside the dome. The food: I order the sablefish dish and man was it tasty and smooth! The strawberry mousse from their dessert platter was also a crowd favourite though we found their brownie to be overly sweet. We also order a variety of appetizers and found them to be quite tasty as well! The service: Our server was friendly and checked up on us multiple times throughout the night. Their subtle sass cracked us up and made the night more enjoyable. Despite serving us outside in negative degrees weather, they still put up a grand smile the entire time. The price: There was a minimum spending of $400 before tax and gratuity for our group of six - which we had to deposit beforehand to secure a dome for the night. The deposit was then deducted from our final bill at the end of the night. The overall process went by smoothly.

This is possibly the worst restaurant experience you could have. The food portions are smaller than a child's portion at Denny's. The service is awful. Our waitress would take a couple orders than walk away for 10 mins then come back and take some more orders. Don't order medium rare cause they will never get it right. Don't order the lotus chips unless you really really like salt. Really don't bother eating here at all unless you want very little food for way too much money.

I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday in one of the domes as part of the “Winterlust” experience. It was really unique and the whole family had a great time. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. I really liked the ahi tuna tataki and the miso glazed sablefish. The tomato soup from the lobster grilled cheese plate was a little too salty in my opinion.

Stellar bartender, Chiara can mix your perfect custom cocktail. Food ingredients are also high quality. Local Two Rivers steak and huge mussels are our fav. Definitely order something with the seashore fries - super thick cut crispy seasoned fries that are soft and fluffy inside. Plus happy hour buck a shuck! We are here a couple times a week now.

Totally not worthy to spend $65+tax+18% tip for the afternoon tea. No tea showcase. The food is mediocre which some were not fresh but dry. You can go somewhere else for better food quality. The waitress doesn’t know what she is doing, failing to introduce the food and would just ask us to read the menu by ourselves (well… then it’s ok, but it shouldn’t add up an mandatory 18% tips). No water was given after an hour, no checking in and see if we were doing fine. The brand of the tea set they use is Narumi, which is not something fancy. I sometime feel this is a cheap brand for tea set and people can easily find it in the second hand shop. The pot doesn’t hold the hot tea for long. The tea in the tea pot get cold down quickly after 20mins. You can ask to refill hot water but it doesn’t help that much. As a Marriott Titanium member, we have been to many Westin lounge and we had very disappointed experience at this place.

The restuarant location is great. The menu for brunch is limited and not kid friendly. The service was horrific. They were under staffed and our server was a bit rude because she kept running around and couldnt handle the business. I would recommend the management to bring extra staff on Sundays.

Service was great, surroundings very nice and good ambiance. The food was just so so for us. I had a chicken ceaser, not a lot of sauce nor flavorful (chicken was very good though) and beef carpaccio was bland. Also the style of cracker it came with just didn't work for the plate in my opinion. All the drinks were quite good, and while they come with a high price tag they were very different and enjoyable. If I had to recommend I'd only suggest going here for a quick snack or convince place if staying with hotel.

They accommodated our surprise dinner for my good gf and even had sufficient space for me to bring my stroller, I had a pleasant dinner even with my 10 month old baby. The sale fish was gold but quite small. Truffle fries were perfect and I 2as shocked how big the Cesar salad was.

My husband and I celebrated our 35 belated anniversary weekend at the Bayshore. H Lounge was beautifully decorated with amazing service. Food was spectacular. Ceviche appetizer, beautiful salad and entrees steak were amazing. The drink list was interesting, tried the rum and eggnog. From start to finish our Winterlust Globe experience at H Tasting Lounge was SO good. I had proposed to my new fiancé a few hours prior to having dinner there. I had mentioned in the reservation notes that we were coming to celebrate our engagement and they really went above and beyond to make us feel special. They treated us to a couple glasses of Prosecco and even added a chocolate signed “Congratulations” on both our dessert plates. Our food was very delicious and the globe was so much fun to experience. To top it off, we had a blast with our server Shannon. She really made our experience & celebration one to remember.

Happy Hour! This place is beautiful and their service is wonderful! The only reason it didn't get 5 ???? is unfortunately out of the 12 oysters I had 6 of them had bits of broken shell in them, not the end of the world but definitely unpleasant. Their happy hour isn't extensive (it only has 3 food items on it) but they were all well prepared. We had the following: 24 Kusshi Oysters (Happy Hour Buck-a-shuck) - plump, fresh & creamy. Was missing the horseradish though. 2 Sliders (Happy Hour Item) - flavourful & filling, a lot packed into a little bite. Could have been a little hotter. 2 Fish Tacos (Happy Hour Item) - fish was nice & crispy, pico de gallo was fresh, & the cabbage gave it a nice crunch. Truffle Fries - crispy on the outside, fluffy & pillowy soft on the inside just like a good fry should be & that side of aioli ???? Americano Cocktail (Happy hour Item) - my partner enjoyed this drink but it wasn't for me Lemongrass Lemonade - had great flavour with a touch of sweetness it was delicious & refreshing 2 Coffees - strong & smooth not bitter at all. @inspiringfoodie

Fantastic. We did winterlust aka "dome dining" and we had a wonderful time. Food was delicious, especially the miso glazed sablefish. My kids loved the ultra whimsical afternoon tea served on a ferris wheel and cotton candy tree. The dome is decently warm and spacious. The acrylic panels allows plenty of natural lighting into the dome. The snow and the thoughtfully curated Christmas playlist further enhanced this unique holiday dining experience. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this.

Food was average, and hospitality subpar! The hostess when asked about the milk buns & butter missing from the order proclaimed she doesn’t have 4 hands, and then sends another hostess to complete the order. We felt sad for her, that she’s in this business, but her gesture made our occasion simply sulk! We ordered 6 - 7 items & please imagine the main course items served before the buns. No biggie, but the kitchen lacked general sense on how the order should’ve been processed/ served. Anyway, I wish them luck!

On our first night at The Bayshore, we ate at H Tasting Lounge. The cheese plate was good, but not enough crisps for the amount of cheese. Beverages were far too pricey for a tiny cup. Our server was so casual it verged on unprofessional. On our second night we tried H2. Service was much better. Parsnip and apple soup was great. Still, a glass of wine cost more than an entire bottle of that brand at BC Liquor. Why? Both H's have lovely outdoor patios. I would go again.

Super fantastic team, we made reservations for a joint birthday get together. Their tables allowed for social distancing at the tables, amongst guests not from the same household, the tables were also well over 6 feet from eachother. The food was amazing, well and evenly flavoured and we loved the touch of the happy hour punch in a little tea pot!! The truffle fries were not very trufflee but I don't even care they were the most flavourful and perfectly crisped with a fluffy potato interior fries, that I have ever had. If you're looking for a decent restaurant that allows social distancing and has great food, you really need to get yourself down to the H Tasting Lounge!!

Beautiful and modern decor. The seats are comfortable and very relaxing. We start with prawn cocktail with avocado slices and sweet onion. Very tasty and fresh though the serving was quite small. The linguine with shaved black truffle was in my opinion the best. The smoked duck was again very small and I served medium. I like my poultry very well done. Will try other dishes next time.

Went here for the "domes" they have set up on their patio. The domes are permanent; made of wood and glass and have vents in the tops, they are well lit inside, with speakers, and a curved cushioned bench and fluffy pillows and blankets inside as well. The table inside is a large circular thick wood table everyone can sit around. There is an overhead heater which is ample even for 0C weather at nighttime when we went. There are only 5 domes so the reservations are somewhat limited at rush times, but turnover is every 2.5 hours. The H menu is actually pretty extensive and you can preorder most of your food before you get there as well depending on some items that require extra time to prepare. I ordered the Kuushi oysters, Charcuterie plate, as well as the Tomahawk steak surf and turf combination finishing with the Dessert platter. The minimum spend for the domes is $400 before tips and taxes, and the domes hold up to 8 people, so the bill is easily manageable depending on the number of people that attend. The quality of food is very good, and the value to money is generally pretty good considering. The overall experience is very unique and it feels very exclusive. Safety is also a big factor as you can have just your bubble attend the dinner and you are little in your bubble; not having to share any aspect of the environment with anyone else like in the indoor lounge area. The service was excellent and we were well looked after in our dome. Since it was Halloween, we were able to see inside the other domes as well and all the people in costumes out for dinner as well as walking around. So fun! A great experience; would recommmend.

Drink was alright but I was told the wings would be large because they were the full wings. There was hardly any meat on the bones. I'd rather have split wings that aren't just skin. Service was very slow. In addition, a table there was occupied by a group where one person got so drunk they puked on the table and left it there covered in napkins (on a Tuesday at 7:30). Not necessarily the restaurants fault but someone came and explained it to us and then we had to watch it get cleaned up knowing it was vomit a table over. Completely lost my appetite and felt nauseous myself.

It was a nice restaurant and the service was great. Some of the drinks for their Christmas specials were too sweet but it's nice to see them trying new and exciting things. The only thing the table was left a little confused was the charcuterie board actually had no cheese to pair with the meats and there was a separate cheese board which for everyone at the table was a little out of the ordinary. Someone at the table actually posted it on their social media as a poll and apparently it was split whether charcuterie boards should come with cheese so maybe it's just us. Aside from this the food was good and I would definitely come back for a good time.

The food is adequate but for the quality of the setting I would expect a bit more. We ordered the prawns and they came in a bowl of ice that was mostly melted. The cheese plate and charcuterie and both appeared to be prepared a while ago. Maybe it is an off night. We will likely give it another try.

From start to finish our Winterlust Globe experience at H Tasting Lounge was SO good. I had proposed to my new fiancé a few hours prior to having dinner there. I had mentioned in the reservation notes that we were coming to celebrate our engagement and they really went above and beyond to make us feel special. They treated us to a couple glasses of Prosecco and even added a chocolate signed “Congratulations” on both our dessert plates. I loved this place! It has the vibe where it’s classy yet trendy so no pressure to dress up, but I also wouldn’t wear sweats! The service was great and ambiance was quite intimate - small tables too. I went here for Dineout and thought it was well worth the $35 price point. You can tell they put effort into their presentation, which is always appreciated. All the flavours mixed well, although it wasn’t mind boggling. One of my favourite things was actually the portion size, it was the perfect amount to fill me up, yet I wasn’t too full at the end. I’d say dessert wasn’t needed, but I also always have room for dessert! Out of all the dishes, I would definitely say the salmon was my favourite - it tasted really clean and good flavours! I’d definitely come here again for a date night as the ambiance is perfect and it’s a great place to chat, while enjoying great food.

We just had the most attentive server tonight. Celebrating my birthday tonight, we were made to wait for a spot even with reservation due to the distancing and how busy they were. When we got seated (on the outside patio area instead of the main seating area), we were happy since it was warm. However we did not like the little visitors we kept having (spiders and moths) and requested to move seats. We were moved a few spaces down. Melandro, our server, came by to check on us and when there was a seating under the canopy and heater, offered to help move us, worried we might get cold. Since then he gave us one of the best hospitality I've ever had. Fantastic person with all the best jokes and attentiveness to our needs. Will definitely come back for Mel's service if not the yummy oysters! Those were to die for!

We booked a reservation for weekend afternoon tea for 4 people in the secret garden domes a few months back ($55/person), and a few hours before our reservation, H Tasting Lounge called and informed me that due to COVID-19 restrictions, they are not doing afternoon tea. This was very unfortunate because we made this reservation specifically for hightea and we had to put a $200 deposit to book the dome and the $200 would be used for the restaurant bill. When asked if we could get a refund for the $200 and only pay to what the food will come up to (as $50/person for lunch is a little pricey), H Tasting Lounge said no, the only way we could get our money back was to cancel the entire reservation. We wished we were notified earlier that hightea would not be served as planned, as 3 hours before the reservation is very short notice, we could have made other plans instead. When asked why we were not notified earlier, they said that their system was down yesterday.

Great sushi and the baked alaska was a show and awesome taste. The stuffed chicken wings were incredibly tasty. The kitchen really knows what they are doing . The bar is another thing. The margaritas were disappointing since they tasted more like just straight alcohol and no lime taste. The cosmopolitans tasted like key-lime pie rather than a cranberry based drink. Great if you like key-lime pie but not if you were expecting a cosmo. Definitely a fun place to hang out.

Hju:z is an absolutely stunning place to dine with velvet lounge chairs, chic chandelier and lightning and hints of gold in their decor. Perfect place to dine and snap some gorgeous photos! I recently came here with some friends to try out their hightea menu. There were some pretty unique selections amongst their hightea menu which include the green tea panna cotta, lobster and green apple roll, duck meat rice wrap, and wild mushroom filo cup. All of the sandwich and pasteries were very good! In the beginning they even have sample tea leaves for you to smell the tea selection they have. The lounge wasn't too busy for Sunday with about 3 to 4 tables seated, which was quite nice cause that gives the server more time to help and check on each table. Overall, a lovely place to dine and treat yourself for some hightea or good eats!

I have been to H tasting lounge a few times, and I feel like their quality of food and service keeps getting worse every time. We went there for dinner, and I'm confident I will not be going there again. Our food was cold, way too overcooked and not per our request, and appies came after the wood, even though we asked for it to come first. And the only answer from our server was oh sorry. Overall, it was anything but a pleasant experience.

The signature cocktails delicious and Very well priced considering the high quality. We did the Dine out menu and were surprised of the great quality and good portions (we had to take some food home). These days other restaurants cheap out on Dine out menus. You did not and that shows commitment to quality. Overall our experience was above and beyond to what we were expecting. The Domes are a fantastic experience. We will come back and we will recommend the restaurant.

The domes were a fantastic experience and it was nice to have our own little private dining experience. The decor on the patio is also done very nicely with all of the beautiful flowers all around. We had the cheese & charcuterie and fish tacos, both were excellent. Also tried the signature drinks "Safe escape" with Gin (on menu they are spirit free, but you can add alcohol or choice). From reading the ingredients, I wasn't quite sure how it would taste as it included condensed milk, but it was simply delicious! Our server brought out a birthday dessert, the cotton candy and match filled cream puffs. Again, no complaints here.. yummy! (the cotton candy tasted like jolly rancher!)

Overall the experience was ok. I went here for my birthday dinner and the food was below average. And to my surprise as nice as the decor looks, i had so much back pain from these seats that i could barely enjoy my food. I ended up getting a giant black bruise on my thigh from trying to get out of the booths too. We ordered a few things and I’d say the steak was the only good item. The creme brûlée was awful and had such a bitter taste. I love all kinds of food but I couldn’t even force myself to eat it!! I was also surprised they didn’t do anything for birthdays, usually the restaurants I’ve been to always bring out something small, or at least do something of sorts, it wasn’t a big deal but i feel like I would have been treated better anywhere else.

We came here for the 11:30am seating Winterlust Afternoon Tea. The service was good, but nothing to write home about. Here’s why I gave this a two stars review. The savoury and sweet pastries were stale. Some of the bottom of the pastries were glued on the plate of the ferrous wheel, because they have been sitting on the plate over night. They were probably prepared days before. One of the hazelnut tart was still frozen in the inside. The only things fresh were the scones and the Cotten candy. We chose the Apple Pie and Pear Tree tea leaves, both of them were bland. The tea service was $55 per person, so it’s definitely cheaper than the Fairmont tea service. You get what you pay for, so i can’t blame them for cheating out on the ingredients. Overall a disappointing experience.

Highly recommend this place! I got a strawberry vodka cocktail and it was delicious! I think they make their own strawberry vodka. Definitely go during happy hour to try their fresh buck-a-shuck oysters. Their patio and restaurant aesthetic is also just so beautiful and summery. Love this place and its service! Enjoyable brunch here this morning for my sister's birthday. I would have liked to do dinner here but just couldnt due to our schedules. The food was great though regardless. Patio seating would be the way to go specially on a beautiful sunny day. The seafood tower from here was so fresh and delightful to eat. Includes clams, oysters, shellfish, prawns, tuna tataki and ceviche. Awesome finger food that is fun to share. Other items I tried were the crab cake, lobster roll, seafood chowder and HTL smash burger. The crab cake was great but, one thing to note on the veggie garnish on it is that the stems were tough to eat. The bun for the lobster roll I think was a great pick. Made it even better. The best item I had would likely be the chowder due to how creamy the base was. First time seeing roe in chowder too and that was a nice treat. The HTL burger was juicy but did not feel that greasy. Thanks to our server for being so nice and making this a more enjoyable experience!

We were drawn to their menu which we had already reviewed online. We knew what we wanted and what drinks we were going to try. They impressed us with their inventive cocktails. So we ordered a “post hibernation” and “peace prize”- both of which we loved. The attention to detail was spot on! And immediately we decided we would be back - the combination of the glamorous decor, beautiful classy music and lovely cutlery/dishes etc...we were won over. We also ordered mussels, steak tartar and oysters. I was expecting more of a flavour burst in the mussels- they seemed bland at first although they were cooked perfectly. The flavour was subtle and kinda grew on me. (I am used to mussels at Carderos- in a Thai curry broth) I wouldn’t order them again at H though. The oysters were good- my husbands were shucked oddly- he had pieces of shells in two of his. We were surprised to experience this here. The tartare was good/tender but definitely too oniony. We will go back for their signature drinks and maybe even the globe patio igloos. Really beautiful.

He went above and beyond to make our visit the best that it could be. We loved his service so much that we came back a 2nd time even though we are only staying in Vancouver for only a week. Extremely disappointed!!! Took my boyfriend to this restaurant last night for his birthday and also my first time here as well. We decided to celebrate it here ONLY BECAUSE OF ITS NICE PATIO, i was also aware that they dont take reservations for patio so that I booked the reservation way in advance,also put the note down on OpenTable AND CALLED IN THE RESTAURANT WAY IN ADVANCE to notify that its for a birthday occasion, i just want it to be planned perfectly. I was so confident because i thought Since there is pandemic going on, i dont think its that difficult to get an outdoor spot for a birthday meal. However, came in and got seated at a booth indoor. They told us that they just transformed the patio to the winterlust bubble thing that needed to booked online through TOCK website and its fully booked for the evening. Suddenly, THE PATIO BECAME RESERVABLED for everyone just two days before of my boyfriend birthday and NO ONE IS EVEN BOTHERED TO GIVE US A CALL TO NOTIFY US ??? i mean i wouldnt mind spending $200 for an outdoor table. We took a risk a made it all the way to the restaurant during a pandemic, i think i deserve at least a phone call or a head-up from the restaurant so if we couldn’t seat outdoor, I wouldve rather cancel the reservation and wouldnt spend a bday with a regular lounge table. If you want to plan for a special occasion meal, maybe consider it again or you have to double check with them million times to make sure your experience wont be screwed up as mine :) ! Our server is nice though. the manager that night also talked to us but I understand what could he do when all the space are already booked

My mom and sister absolutely loved the 12 days of Christmas Cocktails. They were really fun and well thought out and executed! They also had a good selection of Japanese Whiskey, local beer and other classic cocktails. Friendly service (especially at the bar) and a fun Christmasy feel to it for the holidays!

I went to this location on a rainy Saturday night. The air was crisp and skies were dark and I thought I was in for a special treat that night. I got to H tasting lounge on time and was pleasantly greeted by the person at the front. She kindly escorted us to our table which was oddly placed in the centre of the dining room and too low. When I say low, I mean low. It was so low that I felt like I was doing squats. Anyways, I ignored this muscle aching chair and proceeded to remove my items from my leg that were pushing up on my leg due to the awkward seating position. A drink menu was initially provided to us as we sat down and after approximately 1 min, we were asked what drinks we wanted. In mind, I was thinking I had just sat down, had no time to look through the menu, and was asked what drink from the menu I wanted. Maybe the waitress was eager to serve us, who knows. As the night progressed, we orders our food which included oysters, fish tacos and French fries. The French fries were good and I would recommend it but the fish tacos tasted like I was eating cardboard soaked in sea water. It was not good, maybe I got an old fish taco, I don’t know, but it was cold and miserable tasting. The oysters were fresh except the cocktail sauce had some store bought, shrimp party tray flavour. I think these oysters would be enhanced if they made special sauces. Overall the decor was nice and location was stout. I am giving it 2 stars because of some food items, the seating and the waitress was kinda pushy. I would honestly say it’s worth trying once.

I've seen a lot of 'fancy' hotel restaurants that don't live up to the hype, but this one earns it's place. Yes, it's a tad price, but not overly so and well worth the cost. The seafood chowder was truly next level. It was prepared as a seafood player and the bisque was added at the table. Excellent presentation and wonderfully classic comfort food on a cold night. Service was excellent; attentive without being intrusive and the bartender knew thier way around the bottles and adapted to well when I asked for a dryer cocktail. Very happy and will seek this out in future even if I'm not staying at the Westin.

I’m leaving a 4.5 star review for my first time visiting. Might update it with my next visit. This lounge was so aesthetically pleasing and suiting for my personal tastes. Music was appealing and at a decent volume. And it wasn’t overly loud with the other customers as the place is spacious. I would say this is the one, out of many lounge restaurants I would suggest to go to, with all of your girlfriends for any occasion; brunch, coffee date catch ups, and a ladies night. As for romantic purposes... Men, I highly suggest to take your women to this place to sit out in their patio. Forgot my waiters name but I loved his service. ???? Drinks were so cute and adorable which made drinking so appeasing. If you’re not a drinker it can be dangerous. ???? As for the food I had ordered their: WILD MUSHROOM GEMELLI. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Listed at $25 -add grilled chicken breast, extra $10 -add grilled kuterra salmon, extra $11 Main ingredients are listed in menu and to me I really enjoyed every bite. CRISPY BRUSSELS SPROUTS ⭐️⭐️ Listed at $12 citrus vinaigrette, pickles chilies, parmesan cheese I personally love Brussels sprouts but on the day I ordered this dish, it was very overdone with seasoning and also overcooked to the point where I could barely taste the vegetables... so tasted burnt. I love vegetables so persons I Wouldn’t order again.

They accommodated our surprise dinner for my good gf and even had sufficient space for me to bring my stroller, I had a pleasant dinner even with my 10 month old baby. The sale fish was gold but quite small. Truffle fries were perfect and I 2as shocked how big the Cesar salad was.

I was celebrating a birthday at H tasting Lounge a few weeks ago, Unfortunately my experience there has left a bad impression of the restaurant. The server was not friendly or attentive and seemed disorganized. She then split a drink which went all over my dress and my bag. Nothing was done to make up for this incident. At the end of service, the server brought the bill to the table however did not separate any of our food or drink items onto individual bills, as requested. She then informed us to separate it ourselves. Since we were a larger party, this was challenging as we had many different items on our bill. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone based on the horrible experience I had.

We came here for a birthday and ordered a few items and here how i would rate them out of 5 - Cheese Plates: 4 out of 5 I just didn’t like the Jam - Kusshi Oysters: 3.5 out of 5 They were really really small. I have never had such a small oyster anywhere - Beef Striploin: 5 this was definitely the highlight of the night. The steak was just amazing and the sauce was perfect. The sides were amazing as well - Wile Mushroom Gemelli: 2 out of 5 I could not eat this. It was super dry and did not have any taste. We tried to enhance the taste by asking for truffle oil and Parmesan cheese and it did enhance the taste a bit but overall was still really bad - Creme Brûlée: -1 out of 5 Very strange bitter taste. This was the most awful item we tried from their menu - Strawberry White Chocolate Cheesecake: 3 out of 5 Service was good and the decor was amazing I don’t know if i would be back to be honest.

Unfortunately I have to leave a bad review because my friend and I did not have a experience here. The two of us spent about $600 but the food was not very fresh, the seafood was dry and the salmon dish we ordered was full of strong propane smell. It completely destroyed my appetite and what we expected for a good b'day trip because we travelled from another province to Vancouver for a small celebration. Our waitress was also condescending which made our lunch worse. We will not be coming back to them again.

Really elegant and clean, the indoor outdoor aspect of it was so cool! But it isn’t that affordable. $150 upfront payment for reservations and the menu is quite pricey. The photos were worth it but didn’t find myself wowed by the food. The vegan cream noodle dish my friend ordered was borderline inedible it was so garlicky and mushy. Don’t think I’ll be back but it was a nice experience

Elegantly designed, unique experience having lunch at winterlust dome@ H Tasting Lounge! Excellent service and superb food. You have a time slot of 2.5 hrs for up to 6 people, per booking. Minimum spend charges covers part of lunch! Seating is comfy with heating arrangements and lovely music. Super like!! Must try!

Food was decent, vibes and atmosphere were great. The pasta and fish tacos were bland (there was way more tortilla compared to stuffing), but the fries were delicious. Oysters are fresh and they give you your own mini Tabasco sauce with your order (so you don't have to share with other tables!). Service was friendly albeit very slow. You can tell that they care about their customers - but both our hostess and server seemed tired and flustered. The lounge should employ more workers during peak times. If you decide to sit at a table along the pavement, make sure you bring a jacket as it gets cold in the evening and the heating from the patio doesn't reach that far.

Lovely, Experience. My husband and I went here during the holidays. It is decorated beautifully, and has a lovely ambience. We were lucky enough to experience happy hour and enjoy oysters. Delicious, fresh, ice cold Kusshis oysters for buck a shuck. They were spectacular. We also had some cocktails. The sliders and fish tacos were also good. Service from Dave was excellent and friendly. We were hoping to return in the future to try out their adorable outside domes which are booked up 2+ months in advance.

We booked the dome for 2. Setting was beautiful, ability to play your own playlist with bluetooth was amazing, great service! Unfortunately the food was terrible. The minimum spend for the dome is $300 and we tried the seafood tower, pork belly, lobster roll, ceviche, bison tartare, steak, and apple pie. Let’s just say we ordered a ton of food and each plate was consistently a miss. Pork was overcooked and was more like a jerky texture, ceviche we had one bite and didn’t finish, same with the bison… Again the service was fantastic but the food was 5/10.

Very disappointed. My reservation wasn't honored, we had to ask to be served, there were mix ups at the table and the atmosphere was intermittently very loud. I booked 6 people for the outside winter huts. I reinforced it in the comments and then phoned to confirm the reservation the day prior. My group of 6 was listed as a table for two. The reserved and twice confirmed winter huts were not available. We were seated indoors near the waiters/staff station, which while seasonally decorated is very much a hotel lobby. Once seated we waited for quite some time and no one greeted us at the table. Being close the the waiters/staff, we called out to a passing wait staff to ask if we could be served. The waiter was excellent and immediately set about getting us water, taking an initial order and collecting the appropriate number of chairs. There were other instances of confusion and minor mix-ups. The room was screaming loud - which is not surprising in a hotel lobby bar with tiled / marble floors. Which is why I had wanted the outdoor winter huts. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and disappointing.

Upon arrival, the hostess wasn’t as pleasant as expected from a nice highly rated establishment. There were 4-6 open tables (without any reserved signage or anything) and without checking, the host tells us there are no more available tables inside and the patio will be over an hour wait. So we took the offer and began our waterside stroll. About 15mins in, we got called and had to rush back so we don’t lose our table. We were seated out on the patio and our server Mel, he was quirky and fun to talk to. Very helpful with navigating around the city, land marks, popular spots and hidden gems! We didn’t get a chance to order any oysters as someone just before us had ordered 250 (so we were informed) which was the last of them… Their fish taco ????????????????????????was amazing! Food was great, was a very pleasant ending even though our expectations dropped at the door. Edit: We came back a SECOND TIME! Hostess at the door was much more pleasant than the first time. Mel had out-done himself! Revised to a 5-Star! Thank you management for reading my review and taking my single opinion into your consideration!!

We went for winter lust. The igloo bubble things are surprisingly warm. It was almost snowing when we went, but didn't need my jacket on inside. The food was really, really good. We did the dine out menu and everything I had really tasty. The cocktails were also really great.

The food was ok, not great but not bad either. Nothing really impressed us, but there's nothing bad we can say about the food. I decided to give 3 stars this time because of their service. Our waiter could not get what we asked at all. We asked for sharing plates, he didn't bring them so we had to ask another staff. My husband asked for a drink without ice, and he brought the drink WITH ice, and so on. Maybe he was tired that evening, but it's not a cheap fast-food restaurant we went. We expected a certain level of service and we did not get it. It is a nice place to enjoy your evening by the harbour though. It has nice ambiance too.

The whole set up of H lounge is so beautiful! My bf and I did the breakfast in the secret garden. The entrance with the floral wall is a great place to take photos, the globe/ pod you are seated in is made up so nicely with comfy seats and it feels very special and intimate! They have set menus with prices and honestly $150 for 2 people I personally felt was worth it. The amount of food that was included in that price was more than enough! You can have a coffee or tea, they bring out croissants, banana bread and danishes. The starter I had was the salmon it was quite good, I had the crab cake Benedict it was delicious and my partner got the red velvet pancakes and he loved them! Then to end it with dessert! We had mimosas as well and they paired well with everything! The servers are wonderful as well! It is worth the trip and experience!

Myself and my friend came here yesterday as I had been the week before and had a great time and I wanted her to experience the same . Unfortunately we had a waitress ( middle aged wearing a black dress that she always wears and a blonde ponytail with her till card hanging from her left arm which again she always does ) she always seams to be working in the same section ( at the back with all the tables against the window opposite the bar ) made us feel like we where worth nothing . We felt as though she didn't care for us as we were there for happy hour . She was slow with all 6 of her tables , she would give us a drink and leave the empty glass beside us still this was the same for the tables around us . It was not busy but we were always waiting . My friend asked her for something and I also asked for the same while I ask her she rudely walks away as I'm talking we said we'll see if what we ask for comes and it did so why walk away while we're talking ? We had to ask her college for the bill as she was no where to be seen then she finally arrived with the bill and pointed out to us that we had asked behind her back for the bill then she had a problem we wanted to split it and then walked to another table for a chat as we were already waiting and now we're waiting even longer ? THEN when we finally paid she was full of chat being all nicey nicey we felt this was all an act for a tip . This was my first experience of not wanting to tip anything at all ,which I did and the minimum tip here is 20 % , and then she pointed out how its empty after happy hour ? So where were you when we were sitting around empty glasses and cutlery ? And waiting for our bill ? . I have experience in fine dining and hospitality and this lady is rude and doesn't know how to serve tables or even how to talk to costumers. We then left to go to a low class bar and we had the best service from a young lady running the whole bar on her own . She had great attention to detail unlike the waitress at this high class restaurant. It's a pity as my experience here last time was perfect our server was great he was a gentleman . And very professional when it came to our bill he stepped back and didn't make us feel pressured into tipping which we left a healthy tip . He was always attentive and checked on us numerous times as well as managing other tables . A service you would expect . I won't be returning after my last encounter here . I gave three stars as the bar man is always fantastic the food is good and the server before her was a gent . Other wise it would be a one star if this was my experience first time being here my rate will be different . This place will stand out with better staff . Staff make all the difference and this one was poor my friend is a chef and doesn't really have experience working on the floor and even she said it was the worst experience in Vancouver . There’s honestly not much to say. Took them two hours to bring out terribly overpriced, stale and bland “food”. Staff was nice until they kicked us out after two and half hours, two of which were waiting on them to bring out food. Go to McDonalds instead, it’s a tier above this place.

On our first night at The Bayshore, we ate at H Tasting Lounge. The cheese plate was good, but not enough crisps for the amount of cheese. Beverages were far too pricey for a tiny cup. Our server was so casual it verged on unprofessional. On our second night we tried H2. Service was much better. Parsnip and apple soup was great. Still, a glass of wine cost more than an entire bottle of that brand at BC Liquor. Why? Both H's have lovely outdoor patios. I would go again.

Ambience: 4/5 Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Located in the lobby of West Inn Bayshore. Can be a little noisy and chilly as it is located right at the main entrance. The lighting and decor are perfect for photos. Service is amazing, especially for afternoon tea. Our server Emma is sweet, attentive and friendly. She showed us the different tea selections, and even shared with us her favorite food from the tea set. As for the food, it is mediocre. Scones were served barely warm. The savories were nothing special and the sweets were very underwhelming, most of them were too sweet. The ferris wheel is very difficult to handle as it keeps moving every time you take something off of it. However, it is very adorable to take photos with! *Bonus*: Valet is available and can be waived when you dine at the H lounge!

We made reservations for one of the domes for this friday over a month ago, and even called to confirm the reservation a few weeks ago, and were told that yes, we had the reservation booked, everything looked good. Then my girlfriend gets a message yesterday that we've been moved to a table inside and when she called to ask why she was told the dome's are full and basically there's nothing they can do about it. Very upset about it, so unprofessional and inconsiderate. Needless to say we will not be taking the table inside...

The dim lighting atmosphere is a nice touch. They have blankets if chilled sitting in the tent or domes which all have nice views. The Dine Out Vancouver menu has a good number of options. Our choices were very good.

A little pricey but that's to be expected when you're in Downtown van. However, I'm not sure if it was busy, or maybe I came at a bad time but I was left waiting quite a while. Waiting from first drink until they took my food order. No one came to check up on me during my whole meal. Then, when I got the chance to order a second drink, abandoned... Again! Food was mediocre.... Pricey but decent. Maybe a little small. But drinks are delicious. Pricey but delicious And would no one close that giant drafty door?!? Cold air and tobacco aren't pleasant.

We had an amazing dinner here with great drinks. The food is so good and the cocktails are all so amazing. The cotton candy dessert is 10/10. Definitely worth the visit and we will be back soon!

The afternoon tea was good and presentation was pretty. I was disappointed by the customer service - one of our guests had a severe seafood allergy (this was discussed both at the time of booking and once we sat down) and she was served a scone that had seafood on it … when we asked the server, they did not know if it contained seafood. Luckily we looked up the ingredients - it contained fish -and she did not eat it - given that she was pregnant, administering an Epi pen would have been a very scary experience. Our server was also very inattentive throughout the tea service.

A group of us ladies went for high tea, for a girlfriends birthday. Was really unimpressed with the service, etiquette of the servers and the dress code of the servers. Teapots were placed down quite roughly and loudly on the table, service was extremely slow and one server was dressed in leggings with a puffer vest. Not the most classiest experience I'd expect for "high tea".

It was a nice atmosphere, but I was asked to seated at small table beside an entrance where many people walk by. So it was not comfortable area and disappointed that I had to wait for a while until the server noticed me. I only go there for “buck a shuck oysters” on happy hour.

What an amazing place. Make sure to book well in advance as it’s in high demand - for all the great reasons! Wonderful and attentive team, beautiful interior (both inside and on the patio), and mouth watering food selection. The cocktails were amazing as well. If I could put more than 5 stars, I would. We loved the high tea here and felt that the staff went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. It was actually my birthday the day we went, but we didn’t tell them, and it was still above and beyond. We had a terrible experience at TWG Tea earlier in the day, so we’re thankful to H Lounge for turning our day around and making my birthday so wonderful. The Ferris wheel and Bonsai cotton candy tree are ADORABLE.
