Good restaurant, I like the environment and also the service from the staff. great views of the ocean.

Okeish food, really good views. Limited option in chicken dishes. Update: We visited again & it was indeed great experience. Best Calamari we had & really good hard tacos. Thanks Sara for hosting.

Talid Jalbout

The staff here is awesome and so attentive! They have such a great selection of seafood dishes to choose from, so in cases like this you have to order them all haha! Everything was spot on and so flavourful! Did I mention the view? Try to snag a window side table so you can people watch, and look at the beautiful beach scenery!

We had a party of 5 for a birthday - the place was beautiful! The seafood tower was fantastic and the Rosé (both sparkling and regular) were both very tasty and well priced! We will be back!!! Not to mention the server Laura - who was outstanding!! They are still figuring out the hostess area so that was a little confusing but was all sorted to our satisfaction!

Beautiful location, fantastic service, and very clean. Generally I enjoy the food a lot but I will say the quality can slip a tiny bit on busy days but overall the beach house is a wonderful restaurant. I recommend the white bean & chick pea burger if you’re vegetarian. I’ll definitely be back.

The first time went with my family, I ordered a fish and a Caesar cocktail. I didn’t eat fish tastier. The second time we specially went from Surrey to dinner at this restaurant, just milked in order to eat this delicious fish. I was very upset when the waiter said that some dishes were taken from the menu. I want ask the manager please return this dish to the menu. Very good service, very nice restaurant. I will post a photo of the dish that was removed from the menu.Thank you

The restaurant is so welcoming and staff was so nice. We were served by I guess michelle and she was really sweet. We were vegetarians and we didn't know what to eat but she helped us really well and served us with vegan tacos and mother earth bowl which were superb. We wanted to meet the general manager but she/he was not present on that day. May we get chance to contact her/him.

My friend took me here for a belated birthday dinner and it was an amazing time! Our server, Shania B, was so friendly and only added to our wonderful dining experience! She was so personable and sweet and felt more like a friend than someone we just met which really enhanced the experience. The food was just as great and I left feeling 30lbs heavier than when I walked in.. overall, the food is amazing, the staff are amazing, and Shania was so wonderful, I will definitely be back!!

The restaurant opened an hour late for brunch, the waitress gave us the happy hour menu The food was ok When we got the bill got shocked ????. No happy hour rate , when we asked the waitress, she mentioned I asked the manager and unfortunately no happy hour . We decided to don’t pay tip and so some reviews for the management. Unfortunately the waitress (Chelsea) throw the receipt towards us and left with a very rude manner . This was the worse experience that we had . She embarrassed me in front of my family. Never go back to this restaurant and need some explanation from the responsible manager .

I gave this place 5 stars last year. But the quality has incredibly suffered … we were party of four and two of the plates had hair in them. Our waiter was extremely polite and professional though and took them off the bill. However, the quality was poor and they no longer deserve the five star — just to be fair to other restaurants. The only reason I’m giving them 2 as opposed to 1 star is their nice staff

Decided to go here on a whim this past Saturday: Service: …

Fantastic lunch! Food, service, was amazing! Oysters, mussels so good, so fresh! But my favorite, the baked Alaska! Thank you to the head chef and all the personable staff/team that made our social distant lunch with our elderly parents such a memorable event! Highly recommend for great food service with an impeccable view!

Joshua Fang

Much improved, overall feeling of the house and menu, with a warm greeting on arrival.. Started with oysters and sable chowder, both great, and for mains fillet and sea bass, both wonderful. The sea bass was especially well presented. Service (by Dustin) was better than previous visits, as it did feel like an Earls when it opened, but has moved way up.

Imo the best West Van local restaurant. Easy parking, great view, awesome food, great service, cozy atmosphere, and reasonable prices!

We love you Beach House! My husband and I dined here, most recently, after many wonderful dates and joyous friend dinners. The food - especially the seafood tower, yuzu rolls, tuna “tacos”, ceviche, fish and chips, prawn cocktail..oh lord I’m full- is very good. Cocktails are on point and there are some very good wine list choices (though I think there may be room fo improvement on the glass pour lists for reds and whites and for restaurant volume, I think you can find a way to still make some choices there still profitable but I’m sure you’re meeting your customer base here?). Anyways - food and bev wise we are happy. I am exceptionally impressed by the staff here. I always feel welcomed and cared for. Special shout out to our server Matthew tonight. You were great. Can’t wait to come back, always!

I don’t know what people are complaining about. This restaurant has always been great. The service is cheerful and prompt. The food is first rate. The prices are reasonable and the view is unparalleled. It can be a little noisy but once it fills up the noise is absorbed and there have been some adjustments to dampen the sound. I’m in my 60’s and it’s not an issue. Now with the renovation which they absolutely nailed I am an even more loyal customer. The views are improved. The bar is bigger. The rooftop patio is bigger and offers more access to the incredible view. Please!!! Stay away!!! I want more room for me and my partner! Five well earned stars.

My girlfriends and I came in last night for a birthday. The hosts were amazing and even tried seating us outside though our reservation was inside. In the end we sat inside and it was beautiful. The host with the dark curly hair is absolutely lovely. We sat in the corner which perhaps contributed to the negative experience that we had since we thought we were often forgotten. The server assistant who first came by to give us water was rude all night... We returned a drink at some point because it really tasted off, and she grabbed it from my hand and walked away without saying anything after I apologized for sending it back. The birthday girl ordered a drink off her at the beginning, she walked away and said nothing and didn't even tell the server to ring it in. Our food took over an hour so we asked the server if we could figure out our bills so we could jet off to our next reservation. She was so lovely and said she would figure it out but the bill never came. After we finished eating, 40 minutes after we asked for the bills, we asked the manager for the bill again. He brought it over and it was all wrong, even despite us going through it with the server. The server also never came back to help. We unfairly split the bill 6 ways when that is NOT what we wanted to do at all but it was the easiest and fastest way to leave that situation. The manager apologized but also didn't do much, and said that he was thrown into the situation without much information. For my meal, I wanted lobster. I had only had it once before in my life and I thought the Beach House would be the perfect place to try it. I could only add a lobster tail to any entre so my meal ended up being around $60. I was so excited. When the food came (which again, took OVER an hour), my lobster was soooo overcooked and chewy that I didn't enjoy it all. It also didn't pair nicely with the main I was recommended. Since our server wasn't over at our table much and we were in a rush, I never got to say anything. This review ended up being quite long but we never got to talk to anyone about our experienced. When the manager came over at the end, we expressed some things had been frustrating but the manager's solution was to comp a drink that we ordered and never even got (so we shouldn't have had to pay for it anyway), along with a couple other drinks (probably a total of $30). We all work in the industry and so if we're saying something it's because it was founded on a truly negative experience.

This place exceeded my expectations. Service, food quality, and atmosphere are all great. The prices are very fair for the quality of food. I had the herb crusted halibut, and it was super delicious. The portions are large, and I was very full after eating. Super friendly staff here. I will definitely come again and try other menu items.Thank you Beach House Restaurant for a great evening

Deni M

A beautiful dinner and beautiful view. We were blessed with an incredibly knowledgeable, confident and delightful server, Eliza. She knew the best wines to pair with our meal and walked us through the new seasonal dishes on the menu. We'll be back!

Shells Marie

2021.04.17 Beach House Restaurant is located in West Vancouver and this is my favorite spot recently. A very busy restaurant and you might need to wait 45 mins to 1 hour for 2 people but it’s totally worth it. Also, if you have spare time, you can walk along the West Vancouver Centennial Seawalk from Dundarave beach to Ambleside Park and it is about an hour walk with 7km there and back. Can’t wait to go there and try more dishes in the Beach House! ➢ Beach House food and beverage order: - Raw Oyster 1 dozen : 6 Kusshi and 6 Royal Miyagi ( I prefer Kusshi, sweet and creamy) - Moscow Mule - Old fashioned (Old fashioned is little bit overpriced and 17.5 CAD old fashioned I would expect the presentation to have better garnish and at least clear ice absolutely) - Clam chowder - Lobster rolls ( so yummy )

MANA NOORI HOMES

This is the worst place for a vegan to eat. I ordered the Mother Earth Bowl as it was one of my only options as a vegan. The menu didnt say it had cheese but when I got it I noticed cheese. I kept asking if it was cheese and the server kept saying no so I asked what is it then? He came back and told me it was cheese and I asked why it’s in there if the menu didn’t state any cheese? He said I should ask for no cheese next time, but it doesn’t make sense to ask for no cheese on something that shouldn’t have it in the first place? I just took it out of my plate but I guess I was annoyed it took almost an hour for the food to arrive. Why does it take so long to whip up a salad? It wasn’t even that busy. My dining partner’s fish was so bland it was just a dead fish on a plate and barely cooked with no seasoning. Not coming back here again and there’s no options for vegans!

Last evening we celebrated our anniversary at the Beach House and Eliza took it upon herself to ensure that it would be a special occasion for us. She checked in on us regularly and made sure that everything was just right, and we appreciated her attentiveness and good humour. Biscuit & Honeycomb starter is very good. Thank you Eliza.

Lauren Hamilton

Gorgeous view. Go for happy hour and sit on the patio

Lowell Kingston

Beautiful location. Great for a drink and an appetizer. Otherwise overpriced for average food

Andrew Yang

Absolutely fantastic location, amazing views, incredibly helpful staff... its just the food was kind of underwhelming for the price. Overcooked halibut for $42 isn't what we were hoping for. Otherwise we had a lovely night in such a warm and cozy setting

One of the restaurants we would come back once a while when passing by the area, for its location, views, menus, and the friendly services. We’ve just had a happy hour meal inside the restaurant, the 1st time after 15 months pandemic restrictions, found it nice and delicious.

helia azad

A favourite if mine in the North shore. Service is always stellar and the food is outstanding. Had the Halibut fish and chips. Crispy on the outside. Fish was outstanding and the French fries were also fantastic. Half price wine bottles on Wednesday was fun as well. Can't drink the whole bottle, just take it home. Views to die for.

John Lanard Cruz

Great little hidden gem in WestVan. Reasonable prices, quality food. Signature Cesar's with an oyster on top (yes please)!

Ornit Hadar

Went there for their brunch. Great price for the quality of food along with a great view. Had the Crab Benedict with and extra side of crispy potatoes. The seasoning on the potatoes were perfect.

Robert Leupen

This place is all about quality and ambiance. Very professional service and excellent menu. My favourite spot to enjoy dinners with friends.

I did a take out delivery order last night and was very very impressed with the speed of delivery but most of all the delicious salmon entree. The salmon was cooked to absolute perfection. I'm always hesitant ordering salmon in a restaurant because most times it is overdone and dry. Last night the Beach House did an amazing job and it was one of the finest salmon meals I have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection and still hot when I received it. It was moist and seasoned beautifully. I will not hesitate to order this entree again. Kudos the the chef and staff.

Special place for sure, consider yourself lucky to grab a spot on the patio on a nice day. Menu is a great reflection of pacific seafood; their crab cake is unique and delicious, we ended up ordering two ???????? Also, great price point on the wine menu, easy to find a great pairing. Service and hospitality is great.

Jamie Kerr

Very nice location, great servers, but sadly the food is of lowest quality. I tried their wings, weren't bad. But the poke bowl was not fresh, lacked flavors and sauce. Poor Cesar salad. The burger was not too bad. They need to change their chefs and the food quality. Not going to recommend this place and not willing to try it again.

chan biu

Good service, food presented really nice. My Ahi Poke was so very colorful, interesting and fresh. The taste was fine, not breathtaking though. The location right on the beach is a treat.

Sheldon Derton

Wonderful experience, great location, amazing view, friendly staffs

Marybelle Issa

Food and service was good. It was my first dine-in experience since the Covid lock down but I felt pretty safe. There was sanitizer at the front which was great but I found the floor arrows confusing. Luckily, no one yelled at me for going down a one-way pathway. Good experience. Would go back to try another dish.

Janny

We went for Brunch at their opening hour 11:30am and after sitting for 10min they informed us that the Brunch manu is not available but can offer coffee so we order 2 cappuccinos and fresh biscuits. Again they came back and said they are out of biscuits. On the bill there was 2x Cappuccinos 2x Espresso When we asked why there was additional charges for espresso they told us and quote: "Because it takes espresso to make cappuccinos" .... If you want to have a nice view while enjoy a drink and fries this is a good place. Other than that you be wondering where they learned their trade all day.

A wonderful beach restaurant in West Vancouver BC, Canada. Excellent views. Good service. We are especially fond of the outside dining area, which is warmly heated by heaters overhead and which displays a beautiful scenery through the glass panes. Food is tasty, presentable, and in good portion - the blue rare steak I had was one of the best! We will definitely come back! Welcome to watch my video entitled “Beach Restaurant” under my name “Cindy Amimer”. I came again on June 5, 2021. It was Saturday. They got a full house! I booked in person and returned for dinner. Everything was wonderful as usual. I am writing to add more photos, especially those of the beautiful beach views from the restaurant’s patio seating.

First time there! We took a friend from out of town to celebrate her 50th birthday. We were small group of six, with some very interesting dietary issues. Our server, If I remember correctly, his name was Alex, he was AWESOME. Truly helpful and pleasant. Definitely added to a good first experience here. Everybody really enjoyed their meals. I think there was a couple of steaks, a seafood salad, a salmon dish, short ribs, chicken wings, tuna tacos, and a few other things,. All looked great and all tasted great. I am looking forward to going back very soon. It is on the pricier side, but you won't be disappointed. Great for special occasions, or if you just want to go for a really good meal.

Leonardo Hickstein

The food is simply unsatisfactory. A great disappointment for such a fantastic location. Don't waste your money or your time at this restaurant; our last 2 visits have confirmed that they don't care enough about their clientele to deliver value for money.

Jennifer Boychuk

Came here for an anniversary dinner and was amazed by how amazing the staff were. They turned an anniversary dinner into a whole experience. David who was my waiter was just amazing and I believe it was Delailah (hope I spelt your name right) and Sarah who helped with this as well. Big shout out to to the entire team tonight who made this experience amazing. We ordered the seafood tower and the salad with beets in it. Food was great and service made it exceptional. Would definitely recommend to people.

Mitch Kosterman

Visited the beach house restuarant last weekend right aftee the covid restrictions were lifted and had to wait almost an hour to get seated (Huge wait time). The food & drinks however definately made up for the wait times, the service was exceptional and food was made fresh and tasteful even though it took a long time to get the food out, which was understandable due to the crowded restuarant. The view from the garden patio wasn't the most appealing but the wait was even longer to get seated on the patio overlooking the ocean, it's definately worth an experience once for sure.

Maryam Moghaddas

Daniel rocks. All the staff do. You feel like you were invited. Food is inspired, fresh, perfect. Very Vancouver.

Orang Towfigh

Love this place. The view, the atmosphere. Service is pleasant and the food is fantastic.

Graeme Boyd

Very disappointing for brunch (and not for the first time). Dirty table; slow service; cold tea; undercooked potato; dirty glass. View is nice; service was friendly (albeit slow). But there are way better places for brunch.

Note: I've made a few edits to the review that follows to help clarify my thoughts further, to adjust the language (sometimes things come off much more harshly than you intend them to), and to offer thanks and appreciation to Ellen from Beach House for the reply. I will absolutely give the restaurant another shot and adjust this review should the experience be different. I really hate leaving reviews less than 5 stars, but I'll do my best to explain myself so you can judge whether I'm being fair. For the record, this should be 3.5 stars, but it's closer to 3 than 4, so I have to choose the former. First, the good stuff: My partner and a friend both got the seafood boil; they both raved about how amazing it was and both said it was worth the drive. The view from the restaurant is unbeatable, and extremely date-worthy. The staff are attentive and friendly, and I really feel they put in the effort to be as unobtrusive as possible, which is great for the ambiance and general table conversation. The Beach House was also able to thoroughly and completely accommodate a very sensitive and allergic diner with no problems, and did so successfully. Before you read any more of this review, know that I would absolutely recommend the restaurant for their seafood and if that's what you wish to eat, I'd recommend you stop reading this review here and treat it as a five-star recommendation. The less-good stuff: The two non-seafood dishes at our table were below expectations. Now, to be fair, I went to a seafood restaurant; not ordering seafood is always going to be a risk, but for the price, we did expect the quality to match that of the seafood boil. The two non-seafood eaters ordered steak, ribeye specifically, which is typically a tender cut and very forgiving to poor cooking techniques. But the cut should start as either choice or prime. Based on the toughness and lack of marbling (and also the shape it's very odd to get an off the bone ribeye that is round. These two steaks were nearly perfect circles), I would suspect these were somewhere between choice and select cuts. Again, that's both acceptable and understandable for a seafood restaurant; you don't want expensive steaks going to waste if they're not ordered often, but then please charge for a select steak. These steaks were $45/each. The other issue was the accompanying potato pave The potatoes in it were undercooked, and underseasoned. To add to it all, the entire dish, including side vegetables was lukewarm. Either it was improperly timed with the rest of the meals, or wasn't run out quickly enough. So here's the deal, we ordered a ribeye that came with a small decoration of 3 cherry tomatoes, 2 shallot halves, and three small pieces of grilled pepper, and potato pave. I got an old fashioned, my partner had a large glass of house white and the seafood boil (which she raved about, there were zero complaints). We didn't have an appetizer, or dessert and the bill came to $152 with tax and tip. For an exceptional seafood entree and a sub-par steak entree, the cost is what lost the second star. For so little that we ordered I think it's fair to expect that $150 can deliver excellence. The steak entrees unfortunately disappointed. Ok, all that said, here's the summary: the restaurant is definitely good, and predictably pricey for the location; go for the seafood, avoid the steak, and expect to pay for the incredible view. I keep wanting to bump this to at least 4 stars, but I just can't justify it based on the cost.

applejuicecanada

Excellent food and service. Beautiful views. Felt like we were on vacation in California.

Bella Chen

We got 4 Tuna Poke Bowl! And sangria pitcher ! So delicious and also has a really good view to Stanley Park and ocean! We enjoyed the sunset as well!! Strongly recommended ???? ????????????????

Granny

Menu was a little disappointing,As a restaurant by the ocean I expected more options on the seafoods, but our server was a great guy who patiently explained almost all the foods they have and also taste of the food was great.

Kevin Wallace

Amazing!! They have the best food and the staff have been obviously really well trained! Such consistently great experiences every time. Also the patio is the most beautiful one on the water. Feels like California :)

Jairo Perdigão

As many mentioned in reviews service at this place is SO disorganized. We were told to wait for a half an hour, which was fine. After 45 min wait time were assured our table is being cleaned and it will take another 5 min. Waited for another 15 min inside, watching bunch of employees gathering together, laughing and having good time without any attempts to accommodate us or paying any attention. Finally we asked for a manager and... out of nowhere clean table was waiting for us. Placed our order for tacos and oysters as starters. Got tacos, but they completely forgot about oysters, we got them after main dishes for desert(!) All this time we were watching how servers were engaged in conversation between themselves, but not with the guests. As restaurant positions itself like a high end their service is so unprofessional! Food was good.

Mark Holmes (tangoholmes)

Love this place! Outdoor patio is great! Food good, prices a bit high but you are on the beach although you can’t see much of it from the ground level. There is an upstairs though. Check out Happy hour for savings!

Jayson Araja

The food here is delicious. I loved the biscuits. I know that seemed mundane, but it was delicious. The rest of the food we ordered that day was just as good. What was really great was that, when we mentioned my friend and I were going to share the food that day, they proceeded and plated everything in two's as if we ordered one dish each. The attentiveness and thoughtfulness truly goes a long way!

Tiana Tait

One of my favourite meals I've ever had in Vancouver! This pasta dish photographed was outstanding (I forget the name of it). I also got it with a lobster tail. I've been dreaming about it ever since... Beautiful atmosphere by the beach as well. Try to sit on the patio to catch the sunset!

Red Murphy

First time back since the renovation. The service was great and our food came in a timely manner. The renovation is a bit disappointing. It is very plain and seems extra loud since it is quite open now. Had a cafeteria feeling since there was not much character in the decor. The food was tasty enough but I got a side salad and it was essentially a bag if salad you get at a grocery store but they added a few slices of cucumber and radishes and some pumpkin seeds and charge $9 for it. The chowder was really tasty though. Would order that again for sure. My friend got the club sandwich which was pretty tasty but the fries had too much salt on them. Love the location and the new big windows! I guess my expectations were a bit high due to the higher prices. Will have to try other items on the menu at dinner time! Update April 2021- Got a burger and tuna tacos for takeout. The tacos aren't a good value though. They were quite small and the shells were pretty oily. Burger and fries are pretty tasty though.

Joanne Remillard

Amazing new patio. However try to avoid the one attached to the building on a hot summer day as it gets super hot and no dhade whatsoever. (We had to go inside after 30mins of being there). Nevertheless is a beautiful place and great service and good food

Nigel Kellett

Opened an hour later than advertised for brunch. Lots of items not available and "happy hour" not honoured. It felt almost like it was too much trouble to open on a Holiday. If so, please don't bother.

Leslie W

Beautiful patio with a view. Delicious brunch. Worth a visit but parking can be a bit of a struggle.

Alex Kwong

My family and I have been going to the Beach House for years to celebrate birthdays and celebrations. The view is great, can't complain. The staff and service are amazing, absolutely no complaints there. The food... now its never been what brought us to the Bach House but the last two visits were particularly mediocre. Went for lunch with my dad last summer and the salad i ordered was mundane and my dad's poke bowl was disappointing. We gave it another shot a few weeks ago for my mom's birthday and everything was just kind of fine... like not bad but not particularly good. The calamari was soft and overly breaded, my husband's steak was over cooked, we ordered the tuna tacos but they are made with a wonton wrapper for no particular reason with the sauce served UNDER the fried wonton and were soggy and fairly flavourless. Its a lot of money to spend to get very very VERY average boring chain-restaurant tasteless, dated meal.

Arash Ghavami

Loved the salmon and the chocolate cake. The fish and chips was too big. Loved the corner booth seating area ????

Ashley Swartz

Very nice friendly place to be, not to mention the spot and the beauty of the beach.

John Busswood

We faced a moderate wait (30 minutes) but the text communication was good and their wait estimates were spot on. Once entering, the staff was doing their best to walk multiple seniors through the vaccination passport process, a noble pursuit but obviously challenging and slow. We eventually navigated the crowd and got seated. The service, food, ambience and experience was all phenomenal. The menu is exceptional and the location/view are perfect. This is a high quality establishment clearly doing their best to navigate the challenges of staffing, public and the pandemic.

Went for lunch with my wife and infant daughter, and had a very pleasant experience. They had a high chair for her and a great table for us with a view out to the water. The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and I'd go back any day.

B Lin

Good was great. Ribeye was cooked to perfection and was very delicious. Our server was exceptionally great!! Very communicative, accommodated food allergy requests with the chef and was able to make lots of recommendations to aid in selection, very respectful.

Florence Wong

We enjoyed our 10th anniversary dinner at this restaurant. Our service was timely, waitresses were polite and restaurant was clean overall. The backdrop of the beach and sunset was perfect for a romantic night out. We had the seafood tower, which was too much for 2 people. Everything on it tasted fresh and yummy. We still managed to try couple other dishes including the prawn pasta, clam chowder and the crab cake. The pasta was flavorful with fresh pesto sauce. We would definitely come back for brunch and other menu items.

Noémie K

Great location. Love the view and there is an excellent menu that will satisfy anybody's needs and wants. I will say that probably due to Covid and now with new staff, they need to work on some training to provide adequate service. This place would be outstanding with some 5 star service. Not going to nit pick about the problems but just go and get it right folks, it is expected from a place like this.

Katrina Mulberry

One of the very best places I’ve ever been location, view, staff and food quality was really good. We’ve been served by Kate she was very nice and suggested some plates that was so delicious. Highly recommended

Serena Green

What a terrific place! The scenery, the service and the meal was fantastic! Well worth the price and I will go back again and again!!

We make Beach House Restaurant our destination after a nice seawalk many times from Ambleside. celebrated my husband's birthday there in recently and it was memorable with good service, ambiance, perfect pairing of wine and delicious food. The complimentary Butterscotch Creme Brulee top it all. Thank you for making his day.

Massimiliano Giannozio

Atmosphere is very pleasant, food is good (not extraordinary), and service came with a little attitude.

Curious George

Celebrated my brother's birthday here just recently. The atmosphere and the Patio was a wonderful setting. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Paul Croes

I’ve been to Beach House Restaurant many times and it never disappoints . The atmosphere, the views and hospitality are great. Keaton the owner always makes you feel at home

Becky Newhook

Amazing views, Amazing service...the clam chowder was the best I have had and would highly recommend you give this place a try. A side note, some servings are smaller so if you are hungry it might not fill you. But the quality is high so it would be worth the price and view. Overall as a tourist a good find, and I would come back and try more next time.

Ali Nematollahi

My wife and I had a wonderful meal tonight at the Beach House. The service and food was terrific. The oysters, mother earth bowl and the filet were absolutely amazing. Our server, Julian, did a super great job. He was very professional, knowledgeable and kind. He made our evening perfect. The location and sunset view can't be beat. Great job everyone - keep up the great work!

Eddie Williams

We wanted to thank all the staff for the amazing anniversary dinner which we enjoyed on Saturday night. The staff were very welcoming, and both the night manager and our server went to the maximum effort to make sure that everything was perfect. Our server happily answered all of our questions, and was very helpful with choosing the best champagne with which to toast our anniversary. It was a great pleasure to meet the Head Chef, and the food was perfect. We both really enjoyed our steaks which were cooked to the perfect tenderness and flavour. Thank-you to all the staff for sincerely putting every effort to make it a memorable evening for us. We look forward to re-visiting in the future for either breakfast or dinner.

The rainy day did not spoil our first visit to this charming West Coast restaurant. Light and airy patio made one feel you were on holiday. Right on the beach overlooking Howe Sound. We were all very hungry so ordered starters to share (Yuzu crab roll, Crispy prawns - came with thinly cut fries & tartar sauce and biscuits & honeycomb). The biscuits & honeycomb were not necessary but they were, if you know what I mean .... I'm not born North American so it's something that fascinates me...a scone but it's not a scone ???? and as a starter? Yes! Let's order it. They were humongous, fresh, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Just perfect! All starters were very good and Yuzu was my favourite. For some reason we all ate the fries with chop sticks (must have been the chopsticks they gave us for the Yuzu). My friends commented on the fries being like McDonald's and I may have heard McDonald's may be better..? Did I? Nahhh must have been the restaurant buzz. I loved them and they were all eaten so I guess everyone else did too. Main courses: Saffron cream & Prawn Spagettini...yum and yum. Beautifully fragrant and delicious. Two of us shared it and was still a good portion with lots of prawns (I'd call them shrimp coz of size but enough to satisfy). We also split the Dockside Burger with a green salad. Why did we think we could eat all those starters and this too? Had to take most of the burger and salad home. For breakfast the next day! Prawns & scallop spagettini. My friend enjoyed hers and it was a generous portion. On to dessert! Yes we did! Creme Brule with berries and Chantilly cream. Thumbs up. Warm chocolate cake with raspberry coulis and vanilla ice cream...very good. The restuarant kindly "comped" the warm choc cake because it was a birthday celebration! But told not to expect it as a given every time. Fair enough. A lovely gesture. And what an attentive and very charming server! Paul you are a delight. Loved this restaurant, the ambiance food presentation, choices staff. We all did.

It is always a good time when I come here for brunch on the weekend. You get the best view, best food and really good service for a very good price, last time I tried the Cesar's and it is a must tried!! The crab bennies and everything there is not a wrong choice in the menu!????????????????

Wonderful spot right on the ocean with spectacular views, amazing seafood choices along with other culinary treats. When the sun shines, the patio is welcoming. Spend a little extra time and enjoy this special spot.

Me, and my family, whent to the Beach House yesterday. And It was a very nice experience. We had 3 very nice servers, but our main one was great. Stewart he was really kind and waited for everyone to choose their meal. My niece was four so she was never really used to restaurant food, but she ate her food, even though the chicken had seasoning. Everything was delicious. And good quality. I was reading some of the reviews and whoever is saying the fries were over salted, they were not. The bathrooms are clean (other than regular restaurants). We were seated indoors. And let me tell you that. Even if you wanted to sit outside it is still very nice indoors. We Loved the whole experience.

My partner brought me here for my birthday. As a seafood lover I was not disappointed. The food was excellent. But I have to say we were very impressed with our server, who not only took our order but paid attention to the details we didn't say, making sure that our order was a reflection of what we actually wanted instead. She anticipated our needs better than we did such as adding garlic butter or spicy aioli to our fries (at no extra cost) because she thought we might like it. Special mention: oysters. Creme Brulée. Amaretto sour.

Honestly nothing compares in West Vancouver!! Location, food, drinks, service and atmosphere. Our regular weekend brunch and awesome happy hour. Best crab ???? bene!!!! Awesome layered potato and fresh garden salad. Located right on beach as in the name. And servers Isaak and Carle are simply amazing and consistent. We always know what we gonna get “almost” every time. ???? one small mix up when we got over easy eggs with our bene instead of poached. An innocent error but they were so kind to comp our entire brunch celebration ???? for my sons birthday. Love the beach house, and I assure you, you will to. Enjoy.

I went here with my family today for the happy hour brunch, only to find that the restaurant was not open at 9:30am, even though the hours posted everywhere noted 9am open-time. there were no signs or anything to indicate or explain why they were not open yet. finally, at 10am, someone came to the door and opened it and seated us. the hostess put down the happy hour menu on the table and walked away. when the server came to take our orders, we ordered from the happy hour menu and there were no issues. the food was good, but when the server brought over the bill, we noticed we were charged full prices for everything, despite clearly ordering from the happy hour menu. when we asked the server about this discrepancy, she said that they were "not doing happy hour today as per their manager." we asked why they would provide the happy hour menu if they are not offering the specials, but she just said she was unsure as to why and that there is nothing she could do about it. no apology, no offer to correct their wrong, nothing.. due to the lack of customer service, no empathy, misleading menus and price notations, and no explanation, we decided not to tip as it was a very poor experience. a tip is a reflection of the service, and the way the server, Chelsea, threw the receipt at my parents and stormed off, it reflects how little they value their clients. very disappointed with how the staff here treated us and we will definitely not be returning.

Lunch service on Monday was the first time and the last time we will be eating here. Service: - They gave us a menu that had dishes that were no longer available - We had to ask for cutlery - We waited a long time for our meal - Unwelcome experience - They cleared my plate as I was still eating my food! As in, I was still eating the buttermilk biscuit and they took my plate away! Food: - The crab cakes were too salty - The chowder was good but all I can remember about it was watching my plate being taken away as I was still eating the biscuit. The final straw: - We weren't even graced the typical dessert or coffee offer. The server came with the bill and machine before the dishes were even cleared from the table. I was interested in ordering an espresso or the crème brûlée, but it was very apparent that the Beach House was not interested in us staying. When we walked back to Ambleside via the Seawalk, we could see our table with our used glasses still on the table. It seemed like the Beach House staff wanted us to leave but were in no hurry to clear the table for the next guests.

****UPDATED REVIEW I came to the beach house on Aug 18th with my girlfriend and had the fish chips. And sea food platter. On 20th Friday morning we both got very ill, fever, chills and stomach pain and stabbing pain. Horrible experience. Went to my doctor he mentioned it was a shelfish poisoning from the symptoms Hannah the manager I spoke to, said she's going to send an email to me and cc a health inspector. And she did , mentioning the situation and basically telling the inspector how many people ate those dishes and Noone else got sick and they had done a line and cooler check that am. Not sure what that's suppose to do for me? Make me feel better as a customer? Help the aituation? After I lost 7-8 pounds in 2 days or so, very disappointed, I have been eating there since 2008 or 2009 and has been one of my favorite restaurants. As you can see by my review below. Now just a bad taste in my mouth ***ORIGINAL REVIEW Great food, great service....sea food tower on the Sundays is a must

Nick Harris

Great food. Astonishing view from we were seating. Friendly staff. Place is cleaned and well spaced out.

Marcello Lins

Paying at least $50 per person to sit on a noisy shared bench with no view of the ocean seems overpriced. No concern or effort on the part of the server to find a better seat. Why would they even have cafeteria-level bench seating? My recommendation is to get a reservation at a decent table or don't bother going here.

Khurram Ijaz

Great location. I have only tried the brunch in this place and it didn't disappoint. They make massive Ceasars with oyster on top of it which I found interesting.

Tanya Wright

Recently came here with my husband for a date night and we were very pleased with the whole experience. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for. Our server, Alicia, was especially helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, giving great beverage suggestions to pair with the delicious food we ordered. We will definitely be back!

Lisa Hunt

We have always looked forward to our family dinners at the Beach House. Great food with magnificent views. However, we have also noticed a major decline in their customer service lately. The past 2 family dinners have been so unenjoyable. Two weeks ago we were seated on the outside patio. Two tables side by side which made it easier to have conversations with the family. Our server was not quite attentive as we had to constantly ask for water to which was never refilled. Our orders were all mixed up and my father in laws steak & frites was missing. When we asked to re order it they pointed out that it was past Happy Hour and we would be charged the full price. The price would not have been an issue but it was the principle of the matter that they had completely forgotten about his order to begin with. A manager then came by our tables and with a very unpleasant attitude reminded us that it was past Happy Hour and that was the rule. How ridiculous was it to hear about their rules when it was their wrong to begin with. My father in law didn’t want to argue about it with her so we just finished our dinner and left. Last week my father in law wanted to go back again for our family dinner hoping to enjoy some steak and oysters. Another dinner with very poor customer service! We had booked our tables for outside. When we arrived one of the hostesses said there were no patio tables unless we went upstairs. Being with seniors we asked if we could sit downstairs because we saw quite a few tables available. After being scanned down from head to toe to see how we were dressed the hostess then whispered amongst her colleague, turned back around and simply said “no tables are available for another 1 hour”. Seriously? We asked again because we pointed out we were with seniors and young children. After she went back and forth with her colleagues we were finally seated on the patio. What a headache just to be seated! Looking around we would have not been an hour wait. There were many empty tables but they were wanting to pick and choose which customers they would seat on the patio. Was it necessary to do all that in front of the customers standing in front of you? Did we need to show you some designer labels for better service? Unbelievable! Next was the waitress (Michelle). Horrific! She clearly needs to be retrained. We had asked for another copy of the menu since there were a few of us wanting to look over the wine selection. Right away she snapped “we only have this menu”. Really? After taking our orders she was nowhere to be seen. No - wait - we did see her - chatting with colleagues, meeting friends at the fence, looking at the time, etc. But not once did she come back to check on us. It was her helper who did all the work. The 2nd time she came to our tables was when we had to pay for our bill. She looked at the tip and then stormed off. No thank you - no see you again - NOTHING! Perhaps if you had provided service the tip would have been more than the 18%. The ONLY reason we even tipped that was actually for her helper. It doesn’t matter how good the food is or how amazing the views are. We do not care for the unfriendly, unpleasant and rude staff here!

Mark Nuriel Villanueva

We had the privilege of being waited on today by Yuri (sp?), and I wanted to post a great review and huge thanks! He was so attentive, helpful and courteous. We appreciated the pairing suggestions and happy demeanor. Thanks Yuri!!

The crab cakes were phenomenal. What a beautiful setting and atmosphere. Will be back.

Vanco P

This place has a huge patio with an epic ocean view, awesome for a sunny day meal! Food was ok, they didn't have the lobster roll when I went, which was actually the ONE thing I wanted the most, so I was really bummed out. But just for the view, I think I'd go back again on a Sunday for the seafood tower special.

Jiamin Huang

Great food, good service ,nice view. Heated patio for us covid avoiders

Azita D.

Great place. Great food. Amazing view. Awesome service.

We are locals and have watched the Beach House grow. The location and the food are 5+ stars. Unbelievably amazing. Where this restaurant missteps is the service. Today, it took us well over an hour to have 2 appetizers and a main course. We could have liked dessert but ran out of time. Had to flag down our waitress several times for cutlery, main course ETA and the bill. Took a noticeable period of time for plates to be cleared. I don’t think it would take much the service component to be smoothed out to make this the exceptional dining experience it certainly could be. UPDATE - We were invited back to the Beach house and had an exceptional repeat lunch meal. The staff were much more upbeat (both to us as well as the other patrons) and delightful. We look forward to returning. Thank you!

Marcus Wang

Beautiful restaurant right by the water! Service was not the greatest. Our server was too busy talking to other customers. Had to wait around, flag him down or even asked other servers to grab him. Took about 30 min to get his attention to order food and he forgot our last order which took another 30 min. Lobster roll, biscuits and tuna tacos were great but fries were cold, the yuzu crab roll was not worth it for fake imitation crab and oyster were shucked poorly with shells. My hubby ordered the beach house caeser which had barely any vodka in it.

Aleem Kassam

Staff is sweet, friendly and energetic. Food was tasty and very well cooked. Follows covid rules. The entire experience made up for a rainy gloomy day. Next time I'm in Vancouver, I'd go again.

Yas Iranfar

Over the top expensive. Food is pretty good. 2 English muffins with butter and 1/4 top of honey is $12.95. Cesar's salad had 1 croutons and some lettuce on a bread and butter plate. Really good wait staff.

Aki Chacha

The food.....the service....the views....5 stars!! The Oysters were the freshest and a the accompanying sauce was balanced and delicious, the steak and salmon were cooked perfectly and sooo juicy....I’m salivating just thinking about it. Definitely a place for special occasions or for just enjoying life !! I’ll be back here regularly

Marko Joannou

???? The scenery is unique and enjoy the delicious cuisine. The staff is helpful and everything is just in time. I strongly recommend to have Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. Other food is of high quality and well garnished. ☕️ The coffee is not that special and the taste is almost good.

P M

Myself and 5 friends had been seated at the very top of the restaurant which had such a cozy little atmosphere. Food was great and drinks were great. As we all work in the industry, we know the difference between okay service and AMAZING service. Our server Dustin was super friendly and outgoing. Despite being busy, he made an effort to communicate with us and take care of us every step of the way. You don't find genuinely nice and good servers like this everywhere. He made our already fun day 10000x better. He deservers recognition for sure :) We will be back!!!

Miss Mayette

Went there for my mom's birthday. I gotta say, the renovations have done wonders to the restaurant plus our waitress (with a cool accent) really knows how to accommodate our table. Next time I come to this place, I'm so getting the patio seat for the ocean view! Be prepared to kiss your wallet goodbye (unless you're filthy rich and you live like royalty).

Jeremy Pettigrew

Gorgeous view!! Food are not bad, service is good.

Justin James

Went on a beautiful day and sat on their temporary patio. Didn't wait at to be seated. Had the prawn omelette from their brunch menu. Also had probaly one of the best Cesars I've tasted. Servers were very friendly and went above and beyond. Great place to be

Ruth Baldiconza

February 2021 The food was excellent taste just perfect the staffs are friendly and helpful and I want to say thanks to Caelin S. (Cae) she is super helpful and super friendly and she did well as our server she did excellent. I will totally come back. September 2021 Juliet and Steph were great and helpful too.

Kristin W

Nice place but overpriced - not surprising given its location. It's priced towards the high end, like, not over the top, but higher than the medium value it is. The calamari we got to pick at with the drinks were a little soft and the dip was pretty tasteless. We wife was really not happy with her salad. The dressing was either tasteless or missing, there was virtually no quinoa, and she found the presentation unappetizing. My sister was happy enough with her crab cakes and my steak was... a steak, nothing special, but OK.

Arsany Basily

Wonderful food and service. Beautiful patio and view

Dhana Musil

I still like going here, but I think the quality of food has gone downhill a bit. It used to be a classy place, now it seems a bit too casual for a nice night out.

Reema Aviles

Generally loved this restaurant!!!will be back for sure ???????? I love ambience and the view of this restaurant. We went there and got pretty sunset view. My favourite dishes are the biscuit and honeycomb and the tuna tacos !!!I’m obsessed ♥️♥️♥️♥️ The dessert choco lava cake was good. But, some stuffs need improvement. - I made reservations for outdoor, but they sat me inside. Until I asked my rsv was outside or outdoors not inside and after asked to make sure with the host, they moved us to outside (which is I appreciated it, but need to be careful in the future for your customers rsv note). - I ordered the seafood bowl because I love seafood. The taste was okay. First couple bites was so good but the rest I only can say it was so salty. I felt something need to improve from the broth or the soup. I can’t taste any spices or herbs inside. So I kinda sad couldn’t finish it because it was soo salty and boring taste for me as seafood lover. - my bf ordered the medium well steak but it was feeling like he ordered well done steak (kinda really hard to chew). But overall was great experience for me and my bf!!! ♥️♥️

Love the place, right on the beach. Happy hour at 2:00 is a bonus. Great service, great view, wonderful garden patio.

We visited here in June and Eric was a fantastic communicator. The food was out of this world ????. We decided to take our father here after his cancer surgery, so it is was special event for our family. My brother's beautiful wife Mira took all the pictures! TJ took care of our two tables and we enjoyed the food, there was no view as it was dark outside. My sons, my dad, my brother in law, brother and his wife enjoyed their happy hour.

This restaurant was better than expected! A bit pricey but worth it! In this difficult period, my boyfriend and I (french) missed a lot our family and foods. The quality of the food here is worth a very good traditional restaurant in France. We felt like home and will definitely come back. Our blond waitress was very professional and friendly. Thanks very much and see you soon :) Since this comment we already came a second time and the food and service was still super nice. One of our favorite spot now.

My girlfriend I and celebrate my girlfriend's birthday day last week. We loved the the food, wine, and the bar environment. I want to thank you for your service.

Judy Wong

The view was great. The service was fantastic. The food was delicious! We arrived 45 minutes late but were seated immediately, by the glass partition on the outside patio. I had the steak, she had the Ahi Tuna Poke bowl. Everything was perfect. Thanks, Michelle, for making our birthday celebration a fantastic memory!

We enjoyed our dinner. Thank you for all! ????????

Jamie Barton

Fantastic location and view, the waiter was exceptional and the food very well presented and delicious. Just what you would expect, but.... Since covid, the addition of the patio was necessary for the survival of the restaurants in BC as in-dining was closed. But with the restrictions lifted, all those extra tables puts a lot of stress on the back of the house. Which resulted in us waiting 1hr for just our two simple appetizers (fries and biscuits), and more time for our mains. While it's great to see the place packed and it's good for their business, it would have have been nice to be told that it would take ages for food to come. As parents with young kids, we had to arrange for baby sitting etc... or at the very least offer a bit of bread while we wait. These are all growing pains while we all adjust to the new post-covid days, hope this feedback is helpful to others coming over to dine on a busy evening.

Sherry C

Ordered 4 different menus and they were VERY salty..

I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday (our first time at this restaurant). We were surprised there was a handwritten birthday card on our table. It really made the day even more special. The staff was attentive , friendly and professional. They followed COVID protocols . The food was good. The view was stunning. No complaints. Would highly recommend this restaurant and would like to go back again when its warmer to sit on the patio! Excellent experience at this restaurant.

Despite the pleasant surroundings and great location, our anniversary dinner had an inauspicious start when my wife found a small worm (nematode?) in her oyster shell. The subsequent crab cakes were doughy, the buttermilk biscuit appetizer with honeycomb was intriguing but just a sweetened ball of starch, and the seafood chowder tasted overly creamy and lacking in flavour. We then had to wait 20minutes after requesting our bill for them to bring the machine and let us leave. Unfortunately the Beach House is another casualty to a poorly run restaurant with a lack-luster menu wasting an otherwise gorgeous location.

Mithun Mehta

Was charged $35.50 for a GF green salad with added prawns. Left hungry. New server ordered me 2 side salads which came on two plates then removed and returned poorly on one large plate. We also asked 4 times for blanket or heater to be turned on, none of which happened.

Jonathan P

View and patio is nice, but the food is very mediocre. Steak was medium when we asked for medium rare, fries were insanely salted, and the seafood boil was underwhelming. The sea bass was good but overall, pretty pricey for the quality of the food. Also, we had a terrible experience with our server. She was super, super peppy and had a lot of energy to start. However, we had to wait a long time for water and plates when we asked for it. After paying, she just ripped the receipt and left without a word. Also, the receipt roll jammed so we didn't get a legible receipt. Since she left so abruptly, we just waited and assumed she'd come back with a new receipt. 5 minutes passed by and we called down another server requesting for a new receipt and he said she's refilling the receipt roll and our server will come back. Another 5 minutes passed before we saw her. We asked her for another receipt and she said she can't print one anymore and left. What??? Can you really not print a past receipt? That doesn't make sense to us. She was clearly in a bad mood. Just left us with a very bad taste, especially with the hugeee contrast in her personality in the beginning. Just feels very fake. Definitely won't be coming here again.

I left the below review several months ago, and the Beach House kindly extended an invitation to return and allow another opportunity to rectify our experience, which we kindly accepted. Now 9months later, I still have not received a call, email, text or method of contact... even though I've attempted several times to book us back at the restaurant out of good faith. So though on the public reviews it may seem the establishment is taking the right steps, behind the scenes, they are not truly trying to do anything. I know we have been purposely ignored as I have left my name & contact details to no avail. In my eyes... this is worst than our initial terrible experiences. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Frequent patrons for many years, where we have typically enjoyed the atmosphere, food and views. No complaints there... Though upon a recent visit, we’ve now waited for a server to attend to our table in excess of 20mins from the time of being seated. This has occurred on more than 3x occasions to us personally, both when quiet and busy. Service has always been poor, but mostly acceptable, hence returning. Though 3x strikes on being kept waiting has now left a very bitter taste in the famous Beach House Caesars for us... I would recommend you immediately flag a server on the way to your table if you do dine. We hope that the protocol for greeting & servicing tables and guests are widely improved so we may be able to properly enjoy the Beach House one day again. Beautiful area, beautiful digs. Food is always a toss up but today was perfect!

Went there for a nice celebration and sat on the patio. They made a mistake in the booking and booked us for the upstairs patio which is not protected from the wind. They worked magic to move things around and finally get our group seated in the downstairs patio. The servers were awesome and the food quite delicious. Had the halibut and chips which was prepared to perfection. My partner ordered the Salmon which she found delicious. The overall experience was very nice and the patio renovations were done well. The view of the water and Stanley Park was excellent.

David Aldis

Loved everything about this restauarant. We enjoyed a Monday afternoon happy hour, that went well into dinner. They ran out of clams for the vongole, but substituted for a generous salmon instead! After our dinner order was taken, the hostess approached our table to let us know that there was a 2 hour limit and that we have exceeded that. It was the only disappointing experience, but the setting sunset made up for it.

Craig Forest

Service is good. Everyone has a smile. Staff responds to your requests. The feel of the place is excellent.

Nick W

The best restaurant ever in my life. ⭐️ x 100 for everything, food, service, patio. excellent!!

Yvonne Yang

My go to restaurant when visiting Vancouver. The food is fantastic and you can not beat the view. Make sure to take a stroll on the WV Seawall after dinner.

Mike M

Beautiful views, professional service, and nice food. If you like Earls, you’ll love this restaurant. This won’t be a surprise as Beach House is concept restaurant by Earls. Although a seafood restaurant, their burgers are also the best in town! Try them.

Emily Chang

Although this restaurant doesn’t have an extensive wine list, the wine selection they carry is pretty good. We ordered the steak and sushi and the miso-maple sablefish. The sablefish was absolutely incredible (my dish). The restaurant was surprisingly busy at 5pm on a Friday but it is winter so that makes sense? Reservations is a recommendation. Staff: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Restaurant cleanliness: 3/5

Ordered takeout with delivery from SkipTheDishes - enjoyed the food! Lobster roll was delicious for its price: note that it’s a mixture of lobster meat and shrimp. The ahi tuna tacos were still super crisp and tasted fresh. All in all things were delish!

Went for a walk and then saw your sign for Happy Hour starting from 9 am. We were there at 9:35 and decided to start our day with a good and delicious brunch. But the door was closed. The reception opened the door and mentioned they would open a little bit later mostly around 10 as they had short staff and kitchen problem. We waited there till they opened the door and served us with Happy Hour Menu. The food, the view, the cleanness were good till end of the service. Chelsea, the waitress, came with the bill mentioning the regular price. When we asked about it, she didn't have a very convincing reason and all she said was she didn't know why that happened, or she didn't even know if they are going to offer Happy Hour anymore at that place. As nobody gave us straight answer, we didn't give any tip. So she threw the receipt into our face and stormed off. She should have known that we didn't give a tip for a reason and she could tell that we were upset, the least she could do is asking the manager to come forward, or offer something. Now this is the manager's responsibility to take the balance between Happy Hour price and regular price, and give it to Chelsea. Also, teach her to control herself and find a better way to deal with customers.

Shaeren N

The food was excellent. Its a shame that we weren't able to get our servers name. Super 5 star

Paul Beeson

Told 30-45 minutes and waited for 75 after being told the table should be ready in a minute at th 60 min mark. At the 70 min mark the table was being sanitized. Two of three water glasses had lipstick on them and my first beer mug had a big chip on the inside rim right where a right handed person would drink from. After that horrible start, the waitress and food made up for it. The crab cake was good, the boil was great, oysters were yummy, and the creme Brule was fantastic.

Amie Padilla

This restaurant is amazing, the service is outstanding. The prices are very decent! A proper diner which are few and far between these days. Always a good experience. Whenever i can i invite my friends from dowtown to come here. The the new menu has some notable items.

Lynda Perovich

The view is amazing from their patio! Inside interior looked really nice too. The food is great but service, not so much. The food took longer than 30 minutes and the drinks we ordered came after the food. Asked for a straw for my drink but did not end up receiving one.

Lorna Mochinski

Needless to mention the beautiful view and newly expanded patio, it is always great to visit Beach house restaurant. The staff are incredibly pleasant and can't be more attentive. - especially Eliza! she is simply the best every time I am lucky enough to be assisted by her. Their seafood tower is the absolute must while the brunch menu is great as well. I truly enjoy this restaurant every time I visit. Happy staff, happy patrons, amazing view, and great atmosphere.

Zayn Jinah

A great location. Food was good, I got the filet which was great. The biscuits with butter and honey is different then most places so that was a nice surprise. Chocolate cake dessert was amazing. I think the menu is seasonal because the first time I came here, I had a hot lobster roll which was pretty good from what I remember.

Leslie McGuire

I can't say enough about how wonderful our service was today. Eliza was our server; she was so friendly and inviting and made our overall experience of the restaurant so pleasant. Eliza had great recommendations for our meals, was extremely attentive and ensured we always had everything we needed, without being overbearing. 10/10 for service and the food was excellent!

Marlene Guclu

My boyfriend and I came here last Monday he ordered the steak frites and was fine and I ordered the prawn spaghetti and the next morning I was severely sick with a high fever, chills, aches and uncontrollable vomiting along with uncontrollable bowel movements. It was a terrible experience as I am still recovering. I’m very disappointed with this as the view and service of our waiter was very pleasant . When we called and told them about my illness there was no sort of sympathy toward the situation. Looking at other reviews I have found that someone else had the same symptoms and got the exact same treatment we did when we went and called to tell them about the sickness. Explaining how many other pastas they had sold and how no one else was sick. I really don’t understand how a restaurant of this sort of class could treat their customers like this.

Don Ostrom

A top choice. Covid protocols in place, gorgeous views of the Salish sea, seals bobbing up and down in the water, ships, Dundarave seawall, and what friendly attentive staff and a menu to please everyone. The crab cakes were the highlight, according to my dining partner who rarely indulges in seafood. My pesto scallops and prawns were exquisite. Love, love love the Beach House restraunt. Great for every occassion. Wonderful patio deck seating with views of the ocean are quite popular, too. Totally accessible. Reservations recommended.

Serge Mann

We had a great evening at this lovely, waterfront restaurant. It was our first time there and everything was delightful, from the service to the food. The location is magnificent. We hope to visit again during that day or before sunset to really enjoy the view of the water. We made the trek from Burnaby and we're glad we did.

David S

Even-though the server and service was good and normal, it took very long to get a table while the resturant was pretty empty. Drinks and quality of food were very good, but we were hopping for more variations. The view still amazing but the feeling of old beach house is gone. Very clean and upstanding.

Josh Murray

The food was fantasticand the seafood is really fresh. The mussels were very flavourful and the shrimp and avocado club hit the spot after a good hike. As for service, Natalia was a phenomenal server. She took great care in attending to our table and went above and beyond our expectations. Ask to sit in her section! Try to get there early to get a bowl of their sabefish chowder before they run out! Though I haven't tried everything on their menu, what I've had at my previous visits there have been really tasty (poke bowl, ahi tuna tacos).

Sung Jin Hong

Fun place to go with great views, friendly staff and, what you go for, great food. Wonderful crab sushi. Tuna tacos are oh so good.

Reliably great food time after time. I suggest this spot to everyone. Fantastic Sunday brunch on the patio, view and atmosphere is second to none. Dinner and lunch menu is varied and creative. A busy spot with an intimate private space upstairs suitable for weddings and private parties. Wheelchair accessible inside but patio has steps leading to it from all sides. Reservation recommended. This restaurant is right on the shoreline with unobstructed views. Great at sunset. Has been an institution in West Vancouver forever. New ownership is the best of the best in the restaurant world so rest assured it is managed well.

My daughter held a wedding party there on Tuesday, food was good, service was superb! All family members and guests had a good time there. Thanks to Eliza and her team, they are amazing!

I really don't get what's so special about this place. I really don't. I went to beach house with a party of 4, and from the very beginning the experience wasn't great. We were told our table would be ready in a few minutes, we waited 20 before giving up and asking again, afraid of being unpolite, only to be told that our table was already waiting for us. A small communication break down, we can let this slide. We headed to the patio and ordered drinks, appetizers and the main dishes. We asked for appies to be served first, followed by the main dishes. After 40 minutes of wait we were told that there was a technical issue in the kitchen and that our food never left to our table. As a result, we were served lukewarm food, all at once. All 4 dishes we had were mediocre at best. I really wanted to like my spaghetinni but it was just average. Only after politely complaining to the server, the manager was called in. To give credit where credit is due, the manager took the appetizers out from our bill, but sadly, at this point the damage was already done. It's a shame that a restaurant with so much potential, in a beautiful location, is falling short in all aspects. Food ranges from slightly overpriced to insanely overpriced. $18 for a small bowl of fries, with parmesan and truffle oil? $5.5 for two thin sticks of dry garlic bread? Between the bad communication regarding our table availability, the poor service and the price you pay for average food I can't recommend this place to anyone. I know I would honestly rather go to Earl's. If you really like seafood, you know there are much better options in town, without the upscale dress up this place has.

Excellent in every way.... epic views, great food, and beautiful service!

The crab bennies were fantastic, but the caesars completely stole the show. Reservations are a must, the wait for two people was two hours on a Sunday for late brunch.

Beach house has always been a wonderful hangout place in WestVan, but the post renovation beach house and the new menu is absolutely amazing ! The interior is so beautiful with west coast design, airy, and comfortable. The views are outstanding and hosts are friendly and warm.

Thank you Beach House Restaurant for serving our group! The entire staff was very welcoming and kind. Our group of 6 was handled professionally, as the crew properly followed COVID precautions (social distancing, plastic barriers in between parties, masks, etc.). Our server, Issac, was extremely patient with us and went over and above with trying to make sure we had the best experience. I would love to come back in the future! For reference, I ordered the Steak Frites during the Happy Hour - Cooked perfectly medium-rare and priced fairly.

Wonderful waterfront view with amazing well servicing and appreciative staff. The food is well made, well plated and tastes amazing. Highly recommend it! Their patios are heated and give a wonderful sunset view in the evening.

Came all the way from Langley to check out this restaurant as we had heard great things, however, my partner and I were very underwhelmed. We made a reso for Saturday and were sat inside, we quickly asked the host to move outside and she said she would check the waitlist and let us know... she never came back to let us know. We then asked our server to move outside shortly after as it was a beautiful day and there were many open tables, however our server said it was an hour and a half wait. We dined for two hours inside and multiple tables remained open on the patio and were never sat during our whole duration. Also, we saw two tables that were sat inside after us get to move to the patio right away. On top of this, our food was ran to the wrong table multiple times, we received the wrong appy, got the right appy 10-minutes later like it was no big deal. Overall the service just seemed very disorganized, slow, and we felt the staff didn't provide strong service. The seafood boil was great!

We recently hosted our wedding upstairs at he Beach House in West Vancouver. It is truly a hidden gem in Vancouver, on the beach with spectacular views, great food and warm friendly staff. They helped us navigate the ever changing landscape of covid protocols, responded to our seemingly never ending series of questions quickly and with patience and good humor. The food was excellent and the staff was fantastic. So much so I received a score of compliments over the following week. One of our guests was so impressed he phoned the restaurant directly to compliment them on both the food and the quality of their staff. The menu is diverse and we were able to easily build a menu that accommodated the dietary needs of our vegetarian, gluten free, lactose intolerant and seafood allergy guests. The food delivery flowed exactly as I requested throughout the evening. We would like to say thank you to our event manager, the restaurant day manager, our evening's event manager , the wait staff , bartender and kitchen . You all contributed to a a very special evening that was everything we had hoped for. If you are thinking about planning an event at the Beach House, do yourself a favour and do it! You won't be disappointed.

A delightful place to eat. The staff were courteous, seating were comfortable and private and of course the views were great if you’re lucky enough to get a window seat. Food came quick and was warm and tasty. I recommend visiting them during happy hour to get great discounts on some of their popular menu items.

Great place, amazing view, nice staff. Food was amazing. Could get a bit pricey.

Located at the end of the seawall in Dundarave. Great views of the water and a heated patio with lots of seating. Note you still need to dress warm in this weather. The inside has been recently renovated and there are lots of big windows to enjoy the water view. Food is decent and they have a nice selection of food and drinks on their happy menu. Lots of free parking outside and nearby.

2017. 06. 16. My friends Yang and Allen’s Wedding. My boyfriend and I went to their wedding and had a wonderful wedding dinner at The Beach House Restaurant. The Restaurant is located in West Vancouver and has a super nice view of the Pacific Ocean. It was our first time there. The servers were nice and friendly. The food was very fresh and tasty. We enjoyed our dinner there.

Fantastic experience tonight. Despite cold mains and delayed deserts, TJ made sure to keep us comfortable and made every effort to accommodate us. The mains were replaced and both mains and desert taken care of - despite us insisting to allow us to pay for it. Once arrived, the food was fantastic. Tuna Tacos, Crab cakes, oysters, prawn saffron spaghettini followed by the crème brûlée and warm chocolate cake. I would recommend to stick to the seafood portions of the menu. The waterfront view is unparalleled. Fantastic service. Thank you TJ.

We sat at the patio to enjoy the beautiful seaview. Ymmy brunch! We enjoyed it so much. Will go again!

Jan 10, 2021 Family brunch on a Sunday, booked thru OpenTable and find the whole experience using this App to be user friendly and convenient. Parking available at the restaurant, but there are only a handful, we were lucky to find one spot left! Arrived at 12noon and the place was already buzzing! Approached Hostess to let her know of our arrival and were asked to wait for our table to be sanitized etc., she also gave us different choices, we settled for a booth next to the window. Server came with water and later came back to take our orders, friendly and cheerful. Food quality was above average, and they all came within minutes so we can all start at the same time! Out of our choices, the Shrimp & Crab Melt received the most votes from our family, I love my cocktail : "BH Seaside Swizz" refreshing! Will for sure be back to try out other seafood items they are famous for! Shout out to our gracious Hostess on duty that day and our very friendly server Raquel & her assistant! PS the male host on duty can be a bit more friendly and provide eye contact to acknowledge...

The food there is amazing, truly amazing, the views and sunsets are unforgettable; and there water front location with magical sunsets, it is a winner, the food speaks for it self, and is accompanied by a magical back drop with Stanley Park and the Lionsgate Bridge and a beach to walk off dinner or desert, or just to hold that special someone's hand

Both main courses were very salty. Desert was good . Service was good but can be better because front desk did not show my reservation while I had reservation confirmation in my phone after my booking.

Food and service was amazing! beautiful scenery especially at night! I had a suprise birthday party by my friends in the upstairs dining room! me and my friends were so impressed by our dining experience here, shout out to our waiter Issac! he went above and beyond and displayed amazing customer service and made our experience even more great! we will definitely be coming back here! Cheers to this great resturant!

Mediocre meal...the halibut was dry and the ribeye, although cooked to my liking, had a lot of gristle throughout...disappointed.

Patrick Tung

Had the most amazing experience here with my hubby recently! We were able to grab the last spot on the sunny patio and enjoyed the great view with our amazing drinks and food. We'll be dreaming about that halibut and caesar for days to come. Not only were food and drinks great, but our server, Alicia, was absolutely amazing. Not only was she professional and knowledgeable about the menu, but also was extremely friendly and fun (we wish she could have joined us for the meal!) We will definitely be back!

The food was good, however, I was really disappointed with the service. When our entrees came, one of the entrees was wrong, and the correct entree was not brought out until 20 minutes after mine came. I waited to eat mine, however, it was very cold by the time the other arrived. The manager came to apologize for the poor service, which appeared to be a nice gesture, however we then proceeded to wait an additional 25 minutes after finishing our food for the server to come around and ask if we wanted the bills. Although the food was good, the lack of service caused the meals to be cold and what should have been an hour dinner turn into a two hour dinner.

Incredible service and excellent food - oh, and the cocktails are DEADLY and DELICIOUS. re: cocktails, highly recommend the classic marg (spicy/jalapeno option). Wonderful place, thank you!!

Harry

Went for a birthday dinner, reservation. Arrived early, were put behind a 2 post table (no view). In front of 2 table of parents and kids, who moved more than wiley coyote.. louder than Acme fireworks.. sounded more like we were put there as a convenience?.. had better food for less, a long drive from Richmond. Not on my return list.

We had a wonderful family brunch at this stylish restaurant by the sea! Our server, Rene was super engaging and accommodating to the needs of three generations. Food was delicious and eggs cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back!

Great quality of seafood, nice selection and covered patio seating was a bonus. The server who attended our table wasn't as attentive as I would have liked and also didn't seem to have a complete thorough understanding of the menu when we asked where the oysters/what type the oysters were. But overall did not affect the experience.

If the Chernobyl nuclear crisis has a devastating outcome, this place is it. I can't image what takes so long for the nuclear waste to get there to poison the innocent chicken wings into the beautiful shades of green, which will be nice for a medieval painting, but they are chicken wings! That is not the end of the suffering of my stomach and my tongue, the hamburger takes it into another notch by its very Atlantic flavoured patties. I can feel every crystal of salt swimming in my mouth and crushed into salty punches, exemplified by the sour punch of Nestea. Which restaurant could make something bought from a 7-11 shelf so appalling, this is it. I am loving this place, for ever after, any meal I will have elsewhere will be a bliss to my tastings. Thank you very much. Also, don't forget utensil next time.

Savannah Taylor

This is my favorite restaurant. The location is beautiful, the food is amazing, service is great. Everything is awesome ????

What a delightful surprise was to discover this West Vancouver hidden gem! We've been there twice now, and each time the experience gets better. We really love spending time hanging out with friends there.

Wow ! We had the best time here at my friends wedding! It was outstanding ! Thanks Beach House.

Service and food are great! We attended a wedding on the weekend and the staff did an excellent job. Especially Nicholas, he went above and beyond to ensure everyone at our table was accommodated with dietary restrictions. Highly recommend!

FARHAD IRANFAR

I love this place. Been coming here for over 10 years now and everytime it's been wonderful. Service is always fantastic, the food is fresh and delicious and prices are reasonable. Nothing beats sitting on that patio watching the sunset with a Moscow mule. I heard they are renovating early next year so go while you can!

Great View and Ambience. Food is more upscale than its sister and bigger restaurant chain Earl's Kitchen. We ordered fresh oysters, mussels served Thai red curry broth, coconut prawns, filet mignon - medium rare (it was perfectly cooked and delicious), scallop and prawn linguine.

Jonathan Y

This place is awesome, but bring a heavy wallet. It is what you expect from the owners of Earls. Servers are great, food is top notch. Did not give 5 stars due to price and sitting arrangement. Might wait a while to get a table on the weekends. Best part of the place, LOBSTER Casear's!!! It is so good.

The experience at beach house was 7/5. We really enjoyed the time we had. Everything from the initial service to the food and drink were great. We had the seafood tower and it was amazingly delicious alongside a huge platter of oysters. The drinks were good and it was really nice to hear the ocean waves right outside the patio. Overall great time!
