My family just ate a delicious pick up meal. The battered haddock and chicken fingers were very delicious, even the fries had a great taste and well salted. We even enjoyed the take out containers, layering the meat over the fries with wax paper between kept everything warm! We will definitely be back :)

It was good home cooking. $ 24 for 10 oz prime rib on Saturday. Mash potatoes & fresh veg. Good deal. Not enough horse radish, little sample packs. Asked for more not enough. She forgot after 2nd time of me asking. $ 1 extra for gravy. Should be included. Otherwise good meal.

The coleslaw was disgusting. Smelled sour. Ordered a small fry with gravy, got the gravy but not the fries, when I spoke with them they said I wasn't billed for a small fry, so it should be all ok. DUH, what am I putting my gravy on now ? On a good note, the Greek Salad was good (with all 4 of the black olives) smh

Showed up without a reservation (didn't know we'd need one) and they accommodated us and moved us to a larger table. Our server was amazingly personable and kind. The food was REAL FOOD, tasty and well prepared. They even surprised us with a candle in my mother's pie (it was her birthday). I wish this was how all restaurants treated customers and made food. Will definitely return!

Really really like the steak poutine, red and green peppers onions cooked till sweet and tender all mixed with steak. Then its all spread on top of a very generous helping of frys coverd in cheese and gravy. Its one of my favorites, my wife and kid have their favorites too.

A great, family owned restaurant located in the heart of Welland. Recently reopened under new management, they renovated the whole place top to bottom, front to back and brought back some of the previous staff as well! Many of the amazing original menu options are still available, as well as a new revamped menu with some new amazing items to please your tastebuds! If you're looking for a great place to take your family for dinner, with healthy options that you can feel good about all without breaking your budget... then I HIGHLY reccomend you go visit the new and improved Fireside restaurant!

The service was good but the food was just ok. The parmegiana was plain, the soivlakis were good though. They lack kid friendly stuff as drawings and little things to keep them entertained at the table. They do have crayons though, wich half way there. The prices are realy good as well wich is very nice!

Decided to try this place for lunch during fieldwork. I had the $10 lunch special of mini chicken souvlaki (with Greek salad and rice). The salad is the best Greek salad I've ever had anywhere! Perfect flavors for the whole meal at a great price. Topped off with a wonderfully friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Welland.

Ok, so I got take-out today, hadn't tried them yet since it was re-opened. When I was paying, the woman actually looked at the order, checked the bag, noticed they missed my gravy, and got it for me before I left. This is unheard of!! How many of us have gotten home, only to find out the gravy (or something else) was missing, but you're not going to go all the way back? Knowing no one bothered to double check the order. This small thing she did is what service is about. Thank you! ????And to top it off, my food was hot, the pulled pork burger was DELICIOUS and juicy, and the gravy was a awesome, and I'm so glad it wasn't missed. Definitely try this place folks ????

Same great food, prices and portions with a brighter atmosphere. With much buzz around fireside we had to see for ourselves.We had dinner tonight . My husband had fish n chips , he wasn’t overly thrilled the fries were very heavy tasting and greasy. Fish was ok . I had the chicken slouvaki wrap . The chicken was very dry. And i really didn’t taste the taziki sauce that much. We enjoy the Olympia much better.

The food was good but we waited for more than 10 mins for someone to notice we were there!They had the "seat yourself sign" up as you came in the door. Then someone said they would be right with us..... we waited another 10 mins before a new waitress asked if we had been helped yet. Busy or not, they should have at least acknowledged that we were there, brought over menus & let us know they were running behind.

Ordered clubhouse and fries potatoe bacon soup and coconut cream pie for dessert. Asked for toasted with light mayo, we got warm bread with disgusting amount of mayo and very dark soggy fries which means dirty grease and we ordered when they opened so the fryers should have been fresh. We were excited about the soup,but it was very flavorless. The pie was great, but this place was a disappointing waste of time and money

Enormous portions and hot take out!! Since being back to work full time this week i have struggled with finding the time to have a delicious home cooked meal. The fireside gives us just that! Last night my family had take out, it was ready in less then 20 minutes, was hot and the portions were big enough for lunch the next day. What more can you ask for?! Quick fast and delicious along with amazing customer service. We will be back!
