The food experience was unique, hearty, and tasty. Imperial Sunrise It complimented the Adventure Plate really well. Subtly sweet with a nice, subtle turmeric flavor. Velvet Mocha It was more chocolate-y than I thought. I was a bit apprehensive about the beetroot powder and sea salt but the powder was looked like it was more for presentation, and I couldn't taste the sea salt (I don't like sea salt chocolate). I really enjoyed this as well. Adventure Plate Damn. . . The presentation for this dish was great. The seedy toast, cashew cream, and mushroom walnut pate was amazing. I can also eat the seedy toast by itself as a snack. The fermented veggie was also nice, especially the carrots. Some of the veggies like the mushrooms had too much vinegar in my opinion but that was the only downside. The service was also nice. Sleeping Beauty Pancake Just the right amount of sweetness, great compote, and unique pancake that had a banana bread texture more than a typical pancake texture. It was great. Sausage This was great. It was quite hot on the inside and very juicy with a hint of curry(?) flavor.
I love the pancakes here! Eggs Benedict was mediocre, salad would be better with some balsamic vinegar. But the sweet potatoes were excellent! Cappuccino was too bitter and was more like a latte. Servers are very friendly :) and sitting in the garden was excellent.
This is a lovely place, the wait for brunch was a bit hectic, but the food and setting was well worth it. I had a nut-based benny, which was wonderful.
Charming little brunch spot! Absolutely adorable decor, great service and food made with love! Will be back :)
Wonderful location and ambiance. Food is special. Bennies are not served with muffin but veggies instead. Vegan is available. Not so many menu options but delicious. Breakfast cookie was very nice. A little more menu options would get a 5 star from me. But definitely worth the visit.
Amazing little cafe with unique offerings. We were in town for three days and around up going once every day for either breakfast or lunch. Must try the bacon.
Awesome, creative breakfast menu, good coffee, and a homey ambiance. I will return to try lunch.
Friendly, tasty vegan options, cozy atmosphere. Will come again.
Strange change of pace recently at Nourish. It seems that management has tightened up operations and it just doesn't seem nearly as friendly or happy as before. Was upstairs tonight for 1.5hrs and not a soul came up the stairs. The approach or vibe seems unfriendly to customers, ironically because Nourish has always been such a great vibe/place to hang out and eat. Unfortunate to see the way certain hard/tight/serious people run their businesses but strange why they would mess with a good thing. I asked if there was a change in management for and the response was 'no' so am curious why the slide down hill!!!
Nothing less than excellent! The house setting of this restaurant was a treat to dine in. I loved it so much, I returned twice in my short time in Victoria. Food is excellent. Locals are blessed to have a place like this at their doorstep!
Dine in
Had daily soup with kale salad (with their new salad dressing which is pretty tasty! Always so busy there, kinda too noisy but enjoyed the food! Would go back again
I had a really great time at nourish! The atmosphere is very cute and the food was really amazing. In a very great location too, very positive and friendly staff :)
Such a unique and delicious experience. They have great vegan and gluten free options. The cocktails are simple and pleasant. Not an ideal place for kids. This place gets very busy during lunch time.
Great place for a meal. I have tried the breakfast portion of the menu, which was delicious. The food quality is amazing and all ingredients are local.
Amazing atmosphere with unique food!
The restaurant is a refinished old house and is super cute. Open, light and airy. It was pretty busy on the weekend and the food was pretty ok. I wasn't crazy about the gluten free buckwheat cracker thing that I got with my eggs and bacon.
Super cute place, interesting and yummy breakfast menu (served all day!). The wait was a bit long, but they sat us upstairs to wait.
Outstanding vegitarian cuisine in casual, comfortable setting in James Bay.
Awesome brunch spot! Innovative gluten and dairy free Benny's served over sweet potatoes. The atmosphere is super cute as well!
Tasty breakfast. Lots of veggie and gluten free options.
So much deliciousness! Fresh food and friendly staff!
The setting is nice and has a hipster vibe for sure. The food was bland and eggs benny was served on some sort of lettuce. Wasn’t wowed and foods pricey. Not to mention portion size is small.
Empress Sparkle goes well with the fantastic food and warm service. Great for vegetarians and beyond.
Problems with the service and the food. Our server stood very close to me, making me uncomfortable. I didn't make anything of it, but my partner mentioned to me that she had noticed how weird it was, even though I hadn't said anything! My partner's dish was tasty, but mine was improperly cooked – the roast vegetables were dry and bitter with little seasoning – and the portions were very small. Go here if you don't mind paying fancy prices for beautiful presentation, but not if you want professional service and quality food. There are so many other outstanding restaurants in this town.
Had a wonderful lunch with the family today. It was quite difficult choosing items to order: everything looked so good! I started with a warm turmeric elixir, an excellent choice on a damp day. That lead to the very tasty Charred Broccoli, the Kale Caesar and a side of Fennel Pork Sausage. I would order all three again. The gluten free and dairy free menu appealed to us initially. The flavors and atmosphere will bring us back again.
The quality of food and presentation is astounding! Along with great coffee and cute decore, this is a fantastic place for a breakfast. They make it a point to clearly identify there foods that are Vegan friendly, Gluten free.... ect.
This place is amazing. Everything they served to my group was absolutely delicious. They follow the whole healthy clean eating trend but are super creative and attentive to detail. The service is friendly, the place itself is gorgeous, the coffee is super good and if we had anything like it back in Montreal I'd be there every weekend.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They prepared a dinner menu item go-to for us at the cafe within 20 minutes so we could catch the ferry. Wish we could have stayed and wanted - the restaurant is bright and tastefully decorated in a home with great architecture. The salmon was good, but a little overcooked by the time we ate it on the ferry (it would probably have been cooked perfectly if consumed right away). The roasted carrots were absolutely delicious. The cashew cheese was too sour for my taste. Overall a great place!
The atmosphere, the location and the decoration makes you feel as if you are having dinner at your fancy grandma's house. The service is great, the menu is unique, in a slightly unconventional way but most definitely worth trying
Tucked away in James Bay, it would be easy to miss. Its name says it all: good food prepared in unexpected ways, presented in a calm, relaxing atmosphere .
Such a gem. Wholesome soups and sweet potato bennies, tucked away in a beautiful house just off the waterfront. Your pick of local brews, bone broth or teas with flower tinctures. Best brunch in Victoria.
What a fantastic breakfast place. They open early but don't have a server outside until 10ish which proved a bit confusing but the staff and food was excellent. I grabbed a coffee from the bar and waiting in the herb garden outside for a table. My scrambled eggs and nut toast was a fantastic start to the day. Place was very busy, expect to wait for a table, but it's worth it.
Nice place for breakfast and lunch, a little bit pricey, but very friendly service.
Delicious and fresh farm to table food. Great vegan options. Amazing craft cocktails.
I ordered half & half Taste is good ????
Its all in the name! "Nourish" it does exactly that. The food was absolutely stunning and delicious. Such a beautiful place.
Weird place. Environment is nice, staff is friendly, but while food is tasty, the size is too small, to get full you need to get 3 or 4 pricey dishes(my weight 150lb). It's a place just to have drinks.
This place is a treasure. The food is such high-quality. I felt like I was eating at the farm. Beautiful presentation. So many veggie and vegan options. The staff were very friendly. They have a chicory and dandelion hot drink that is delicious.
Tasty and healthy. Just what I needed. Loved seeing all of the edible plants in the garden ????
I would like to come back to try other things but my trip was short and not allow me to be there again. The pancake and avocado toast was fabulous!!!!! Great service and atmosphere too. Already recommend this place to all my friends and family????❤️ by the way, Douglas has recommended this place to us since Haterleigh Heritage Inn doesn't serve breakfast anymore. Big thanks to Douglas haha.

Tastes damn fine! Eat here for a happy mouth, and feel safe eating things like beet cured salmon, nut cheese, and quinoa. They may cook in a way foreign tho you, but you'll understand the flavors like a first language.
Highly recommended, everything is tasty with attentive services! Limited tables for party of 4+.
I rarely give out 5 star reviews but I literally can't think of anything bad to say. The bennys were awesome, I'm a hollandaise skeptic but their vegetarian version was amazing. I loved the root veggies and our coffees were delish. Our server was attentive and the food was timely. The entire place is too cute set up in an old house and we left planning our next visit already. GO!
OMG, beautiful, delicious Vegetarian eggs Benny
Incredibly delicious and unique food. Cashew cheese w/seedy bread was particularly fantastic. Calming ambiance in a well-loved heritage house.
By far the best service and food we have had in Victoria. The service was so friendly and open. The restaurant so classy, yet comfortable. The food had endless layers of flavour. We can't wait to come back.
This place is sort of weird and fun. I think the best way to describe it would be “breakfast-fine-dining.” The brisket is to die for, super soft and fatty, a must try!
Brunch
The tastiest, healthiest and most beautifully presented breakfast I have ever had. After a 10 day trip that included Vancouver, Whistler and Toffino, this restaurant came out on top.
Right place at the wrong time. Called in to make sure they were open. Arrived and people were sitting inside eating. There was a closed sign but waitresses running around serving customers. So busy in fact that nobody came to greet us for 8 minutes. There were others waiting with us so we were delightfully excited when the couple in front of us were seated. Minutes later a waitress came over to tell us the unfortunate news that they had closed early the whole time and the couple in front of us were the last table being seated.
Excellent, breakfast and lunch food. Special coffee and tea are amazing. Try the eggs Benedict vegan style with tempeh.
Food made with care, charming character house, modern music, cute interior design, very lovely ???? Only suggestion is bring back fresh squeezed orange juice! It paired really well with the benny’s.
Delicious brunch and they were very accommodating of our toddler. Unusual and tasty menu selections. We had a Benedict and the pancaked and shared with our little one. Both were excellent. Good tea and all served on pretty china in an ambient and pleasant setting. Service was pretty seamless too. Would definitely return. Only minor room for improvement would be a ramp out front / accessibility, and maybe some crayons for kids. But that's being picky.
Quality is good, but way overpriced, and I mean: way. I’ll gladly pay for quality and fresh ingredients, but I do expect after a breakfast eggs benny that I’m relatively full, but this is never the case here. So don’t go if you’re hungry. Staff is lovely and it’s in a cool location.
Food was ok. There's open seating upstairs and table service downstairs. I tried a cider, which was very spicy and strong. Pancakes were ok, had a mealy bread type texture
Love their fresh & creative drinks. Large portions of really good yummy food.
We had an amazing breakfast at Nourish. So flavourful and not what you'd expect. Try something different and refreshing to the pallette. Love the location and service was great!
Food ok staff great. Need to install some sound damping
It's a lovely location with an original menu with lots of options to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs and preferences. All four of us enjoyed our breakfasts. In addition to the great food, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We look forward to going back again.
We had the lentil and squash soup and salad and the eggs benedict combo thing. It was all absolutely delicious and so nice to have freshly cooked artisanal food. Staff were lovely and the restaurant space itself was rustic, cosy and arty. Definitely recommend and would have returned had it been open on the Sunday evening!
This place is incredible. Really delicious menu, creative options, and many local organic choices. The turmeric bone broth was delicious. The restaurant is in a beautiful old converted home. Reservations recommended.
Not your average restaurant. Very nutritious food, beautiful presentation. The pancakes are more like cake made in a pan...with a hint of ground ginger and cinnamon. I had the Harvest bowl. A lot of greens and kale with falafel and hummus. Did not disappoint. A unique blend of flavors. The cardamom hot chocolate was not sweet as you might anticipate. It was a warm hug in a mug.
Nourished is exactly how you will feel after you've enjoyed delicious, local, real food in this serene setting. Great for those with special dietary restrictions too as lots of dairy/vegan/vegetarian options (including sweets!) as well as 'regular omnivores'!
Absolutely love this place. Sitting outside in the herb garden in summer is a real treat. Wonderfully prepared variations of classics, the prices that won't necessarily make you feel like you're being gouged. Always enjoyable.
Incredible meal. Love the location too. Wish it were next door. :) Can't wait for my next lunch or brunch date from Nourish!
We were seated in a lovely little room upstairs, where we enjoyed perfect brewed coffee and a superb breakfast, neither too large nor too heavy, but perfectly satiating and invigorating. Vegetarians are first-class citizens here, although there's something for the carnivorous as well. The menu items are original and compelling. I regret that I didn't try one of the bone broths, as they sound superb.
Service
Nourish was recommended as a great brunch spot in Victoria and they didn't disappoint. We sat in the garden and enjoyed the quiet, scenic atmosphere. The old building is full of charm too. We tried the imperial sunrise and dandelion drinks with oat milk and they were fabulous! I was jealous of my husband who ordered the half eggs benny and oat pancake while I enjoyed the tartine. The fresh sourdough was lovely and service was very friendly and timely. Looking forward to returning!
Delicious and nutritious! By far the restaurant I'd recommend in Victoria if eating healthy is a concern. My spouse and I had the vegan "eggs" benny, (no eggs but soft potato) and it so delicious. It is a simple and beautiful space. The staff and the owner were both friendly and genuine. Recommend to all!
Wow. Seriously wow. Next time, (and there will be a next time soon) I’ll take photos, bc the presentation is just as good as the flavour. A place where vegans, gluten free and non dairy people do not get shortchanged at all.
Very re-assuring to read that someone has had the same experience with the owner, Hayley, as my husband and I have. We stopped patronizing both of her restaurants months ago. Sorry to speak out during such a hard time for everyone in the world but I think the truth needs to be heard, even if a community is blinded by falsities.
Delicious meals with beautiful presentation. The space itself is full of natural light and has a lot of character. You should at least visit them once. Carly was our server and she went above and beyond to make sure we are having a pleasant visit.
Delicious!!!!! Friendly and interested staff, beautiful decor, simply lively spot for lunch, dinner or tea. I thought "broth" would be tasteless - it's now become my afternoon pickup without coffees caffeine!
The food, service, and ambiance was great! Lots of flavor in the food. There are gluten free and vegan choices. The cashew cheese was a favorite for our family. They don't have a children's menu. Picky eaters may not like the food. The drink options were fun too, I got a flight of rose wines. My daughter enjoyed the London Fog with lavender.
One of the most amazing breakfast you will ever enjoy. Talented chefs and innovative menu. Simple and incredible food. Beautiful garden and atmosphere.
Delicious breakfast in a beautiful house. Service is excellent and prices good. They make their own Jun (which is a fermented non-alcoholic beverage made with honey) and it's excellent.
Fantastic, flavourful food. It was so delicious! Great atmosphere and really great pricing for the quality offered.
Food was really good but with just a minor criticism; they offer an add on of sausage with the pancakes but it really doesn’t collide well with the dish, and the coffee was just okay. As for the atmosphere, it’s was really well decorated inside, but outside it was noticeably crowded seating, they look like they are taking on more customers then they can handle. I’ll definitely be back to this place but I’m hoping they find better ways to cope with their popularity and consider the flavours more in the add ons for each dish.
While the service was prompt and polite and the atmosphere is charming this restaurant leaves more to be desired. I got the benny today which comes on a bed of smashed potatoes and veggies. When it came to the table I was shocked to find that four potatoe slices, three pieces of zucchini and three pieces of onion consist of a full serving. I left hungry. I have been there handful times before and no longer be going do to continually shrinking serving sizes.
Gorgeous venue in an old heritage house. Great espresso and cafe items, but if you want a healthy place to brunch or lunch, then this place is definitely worth a visit! Would recommend.
I so wish we had this restaurant in Calgary. The food here is delicious! I love the vegan golden benny and the vegan tartine! The crumbled tempeh is amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Such wonderful vegan options! And it's so small and quaint. Our servers were lovely and the atmosphere was very calm.
Amazing place to eat well and healthy. With no exotics, they manage to put together high quality ingredients into tasty dishes that are incredibly good
Terrible was seeking a healthy nourishing meal and received almost scrap like veggies barely any protein and a bowl of sauce not impressed. Took it up with them told them them a rice bowl that is more or less soup is not what I ordered, also no veggies or protein, what can we do? He brought back a small bowl of veggies. When I'm back in Nanaimo I certainly won't be back to this joint.
Spectacular food quality. It was so good we went several times in the 2 days we were there. Excellent drinks as well.
Sooo good! My favorite place for brunch. Love that they cater to vegans and everything is so tasty! Great coffee too.
So good food! One of the best place in the world for breakfast
Very cozy restaurant with delicious healthy food options and beautiful art on the walls...for sale!
Nice deco and great service But food wise...mediocre Portion can be a bit more generous too..do you really expect a guy to order at least 2 sandwiches just to feel a little full? Those sliced bread cant cost that much can they? Don’t understand the hype, maybe mostly cuz of It’s location?
Nourish bills itself as "A foodie adventure" and that's very accurate. Whatever you might image, it's better than that and presented in amazing beauty. Stretch your pallette. You won't regret the experience.
Yum! Great vegan options. Nice atmosphere.
Friendly staff and good food. Expect it to be busy with an extremely hipster demographic.
Just an overall lovely place. Nourish easily has one of the cleanest menus in Victoria. Perfect if you're looking for flavourful healthy food with that farm to table style. The restaurant has a unique feel. It's in an old heritage home so it's casual and super cozy. They have a sit in option that has big beautiful windows, a take out cafe and a comfy upstairs community area with wifi. Love this place and absolutely recommend it!
Wow such a special and tasty meal!
Great food. Portions are fair sized but not overwhelming. Good value. Service was good despite the staff being very stretched (not sure if it’s fair to judge based on one visit but it seems like they could use more staff?). Food is well flavoured, they add some nice subtle, healthy twists to breakfast staples.
Oh man. This place hits on so many of my soft spots. Amazing breakfast/brunch. Amazing beverages. Excellent for restricted diets and people that love local dining. The atmosphere here is bar none with eclecticly mix-and-matched furniture, loads of natural light, various seating and lounging options, and some of the best food in Victoria. I can't praise these guys enough. If you haven't tried Nourish yet, do yourself a favour and try it out sooner than later!
Delicious, beautiful and ethical. A very inspiring experience. Genuine service with thoughtful menu and deeply satisfying food.
Very unique space and menu!!! Except to wait 40min+ in line but it's worth it. Food is fresh, coffee is flavourful and they even have bone broth!!! You can get a coffee and wait upstairs for a table. There’s outdoor sitting in the summer in a nice garden.
Disappointing experience. We found this place near our hotel and was looking forward to trying a new experience. We came in behind a family that was in the process of being seated. The hostess did not acknowledge us but that is fine, we expected her to quickly return. She did not. We waited for a long time, in a busy hallway, and NO staff offered a 'please wait' or 'just one minute, I'll alert the hostess'. There was a table available in plain sight. Eventually, a table prepared to leave and at the same time another family came in. The hostess appeared and did not acknowledge our wait. She then offered the free table, a high table that while I would have sat in was not as comfortable as the other table. When I hesitated, she said she couldn't seat us at the table because she had to seat the other family there. At that point, I was very upset. Not that I wouldn't offer the table to the family, but that she only offered us ANY table after a very long wait that no one bothered to acknowledge. Overall, Victoria has been such a friendly town with great customer service. An unwelcomed shock to experience this on our 25th anniversary trip.
One of my favourite spots in town! Local, healthy and ethical food run by some great people. Definitely try to place out if you haven't yet!
I like the atmosphere, I don't mind when the staff are a little more reserved, they're still nice, (unless they're truly not happy). The quality of the food is definitely good, nothing to add here, but the portion size is way, and I mean WAY too small for what you pay. I'm aware this isn't Denny's, but 18 dollars for eggs Benny with a little bit of kale and half a potato is definitely overpriced. and I'm a tiny person.
We sat outside in the garden for breakfast. Plated food was also delicious, original and looked like a beautiful painting. However the Matcha Latte was a big disappointment for a high price. It's made in batches ahead of time and has almost no matcha taste, suggesting cost saving on this expensive green tea. It was like drinking hot almond milk. Others have said that allbof the beverages, incl. coffee could be much improved.
The food was tasty and the portion size ample. The dining area was quaint and roomy brightened by natural light and the servers smiles. The Nourish Cesar was twist on the classic Bloody Mary and really hit the spot!
We had our wedding dinner here and it was awesome! With 2 of the 6 being vegan; there we’re options for everyone and every meal was delicious. In-fact, we enjoyed it so much that we came back the very next morning for their brunch! Highly recommend. The cheese and house-made bread is a must-try.
We traveled a great deal to get to Victoria and headed to this restaurant for breakfast. We were told that there were no tables available for a party of 3.. but saw that there were 2 tables available in the main seating area. The couples behind us got seated at those tables and we were asked to have a seat upstairs. We didn’t complain.. went upstairs found a seat, went back downstairs to grab our own high chair and menus. We then went downstairs to order breakfast and after waiting for 15 minutes in line to order.. we were told that the “cafe service was cut” ummm what?! We probably spent a total of 30 minutes here.. not a single hello from a waitress or an apology for the lack of service or food. Don’t waste your time coming here! I assure you there are plenty of better places to enjoy your time.
5 star experience for so many reasons - tasty nutritious food, beautiful presentation, exceptional customer service, and great ambience with the garden seating. I couldn't help myself but try everything they had on the menu, all were equally delicious. Definitely will be making a return during my next visit to Victoria!
Breakfast
Small menu, great food, great staff. Unusual food combinations make this place wonderful for trying new things! Take the kids if they are adventurous but skip this place if your kids like plainer food! Highly recommend the oat pancakes!
I had such an incredible meal this morning at nourish! I ordered the golden benny and I could not be more satisfied. Best I’ve had in the city. Will definitely be back
Great little restaurant close to Laurel Point Inn where a friend was staying. No reservations, so we waited a short time. Locally sourced meal was tasty and included some different items like Kale salad with breakfast and a really "grain & seed" toast. Only downside was the noise. It seemed everyone at each table was trying to be heard. Something to deaden the sound is really needed.
It was love at first bite! It wasn't long before the comfortable upstairs working nook became my favourite home away from home. The warm service reflects the loving nature of the restaurant's owners. The name truly says it all. I always leave feeling nourished <3
Wow! Excellent healthy breakfast choices in a farm house type setting. Loved it! Specialty healthy beverages too!
Just about right! Haha
Nourish is one of my favorite people places in the city. Consistently delicious meals, courteous staff, fresh and local. And you can take home some of their home made treats too! Well worth it. I was crestfallen when they closed their dinner service...
Tastefully decorated with style, art and used chic, Nourish is a cozy sanctum to hide in a corner with a good book or share plates with friends of amazing vego-friendly food.
I’m from out of town and was so delighted to come across Nourish. What an amazing concept. Clean, conscious and well-curated menu that will please vegans, omnivores and carnivores alike. This place is great for a meal or you can get a yummy drink and work upstairs.
Amazing food, atmosphere and Service. You feel like you are doing something truly good for yourself by being at Nourish!
A delightful unique dining experience. It is clear from the details on the menu and in the surroundings that this restaurant is well loved and cared for. We will be back.
Meal type
Had the vegan eggs Benny, and its my new favorite dish! So delicious and great friendly (not to mention cute) service. When I come back to Vic I will definitely be coming back. Mmmm
Great food, ambiance, prices.
Food: 2/5 Ambience: 2/5 Service: 3/5 Food isn’t that tasty — portions are small, pricey and the taste is average. We are on the higher stools which were very uncomfortable. Service is average, came on a busy day. Our server took forever to get us the bill. Would not visit again.
one of the best breakfasts i’ve ever had! everything is handled with care down to the smallest details!!
Probably one of the best breakfasts in Victoria. Amazing gluten free/ dairy free options (vegan too). They take allergies very seriously and sanitized the coffee machine before making a dairy free latte. The breakfast cookies are amazing and recommended taking those home for later. The GF/DF Benny is hearty, filling but you don’t feel heavy and gross after. The seasonal sausages are amazing with so much flavour and the market/general store has great things to take home.
No milk toast but the birb bath was phenomenal
They had a limited menu due to COVID. I opted for the Golden Breakfast: 2 poached eggs with vegan sauce, roasted sweet potato, cauliflower and spring greens. It was very very good. Also had an oat milk cappuccino that was outstanding. I’m not vegan but I can’t wait to come back.
The best food in town. You will not find anything else that is truly homemade good, nutrient dense food. You will feel completely satisfied! Absolutely accomodating to celiac and dairy free. I cant have either and never had an issue. Wonnderful environment for families and small parties.
Bright, warm, highly instagrammable. Friendly staff, great food. The verde sausage was delicious. Word of warning -- the pancakes are ... different. But good!
I love the healthy menu and unique drinks. I had the Velvet Mocha and it was amazing! The bone broth is also wonderful.
Nourish is in a cute little heritage looking house that is open and airy and clean and comfortable. Its surrounded by cute gardens and outdoor seating. The food is fresh and wholesome, organic and locally grown and made. It is super tasty and they pay special attention to presentation and flavour. We had a wonderful breakfast in the glorious sun. The staff were friendly and informative. We felt pampered and spoiled. Very grateful to have choices like this foodie spot and so good for the soul! Good eats.
I had the best brunch here this morning. The take out ordering and pick up process was seamless. The customer service was top notch. And of course, the food was delicious as always. I had the half and half of the Benny and Sleeping Beauty pancakes and it was amazing. My partner enjoyed the Tartine with the potato salad side. Was really missing this place over the past year but the take out experience was as good as I remember the dine in experience to be. I will definitely be back!
Restaurant specializing in brunch and lunch with a healthy twist. The eggs benedict is served with kale salad and not engLish muffin. My wife ordered the pancakes and it's prepared more like bread than traditional pancakes. Still very good though. Recommend if you're looking for a non traditional brunch.
My family and I visited here as we stayed at the hotel down the block. It’s a quaint Victorian home turned into a cafe/restaurant, which was very homey! I had the broth which was very good for a cold morning and the kale Caesar and bacon . I loved the freshness of the vegetables and how everything was made in house. No preservatives and food close as close to nature as possible- just the way I like it. The staff was friendly and efficient as well. I will bookmark this location for our next visit!
Really good food. We were quite satisfied with our lunch. We went back for breakfast and didn’t enjoy it as much. The bacon was very thin and floppy. The sleeping beauty pancakes were great, but I’ll just warn you that they are more like cake. This place is a bit overpriced, especially for breakfast.
I don't know how this place could get anything less than 5 stars. In fact, I want to go back and reduce my other 5 star ratings because this one is REALLY a five-star rating. This was the best meal we has in a long time, the service was wonderful and the setting was lovely we sat outside). Also, the cocktail was one of the best I have ever had! I will be coming here every time I am in town!
The Best meal out I've had in a long time! The buckwheat seedy toast and cashew cheese? Fabulous! Lovely Lovely food! Bone broth was divine! Thank you for being here!
Beautiful interior, friendly staff and tastefully prepared food. I was disappointed there weren't more vegetarian options, because this seemed like that kind of place, but the veggie options were delicious nonetheless!
Nourish is a quiet and cozy place with amazing food and drinks. The menu items are made from farm fresh ingredients and the Victorian atmosphere with exceptional service will no doubt give a great experience.
This is a really cute place to go with friends or on a date. The tables in the garden are beautiful and calming. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is both delicious and gorgeous. Staff are friendly and kind. I really enjoyed my meal here and can't wait to come back again. I had the oat pancakes covered with flowers.
My favourite brunch place in Vic! So incredibly delicious, and hate to be cliché but always feel so nourished! Hard to describe it better-body and soul
(Added) this place has become our go to place for brunch. I feel like I'm doing something good for my body when I eat here. Their beet latte was amazing!!! cozy, friendly, amazing local ingredients, vegan/veg options. all the dishes were flavourful. Loved it! It felt like there was much care into the food made there. Highly recommend for late breakfast if you’re in the area.
There is a reason the reviews are consistently excellent. Fantastic meal today. Friendly service and gorgeous ambience! Thank you.

Easily the best brunch I ever had. First of all the place feels like home, with lots of natural light and nice interior. The service was excellent and very attentive. But the main star is the food which was just so delicious. Especially as a vegan you have several options to choose from and it is easy so make other menu items vegan - you gotta love that! It’s not only delicious but also very filling. Couldn’t recommend it more and probably my favorite spot in Victoria!
Nourish was delicious! I was tied between ordering a Savoury Morning and Eggs on Toast... I ended up getting the Eggs on Toast with the mushroom walnut pate option. Soooo good! Speed of service was average, and staff were very attentive to us. We were quite lucky for a Sunday considering we arrived there at noon, we didn’t wait for more than 10 mins for a group of 4. I would love to come back here to try out their other options ❤️
Quaint and delicious! Go here almost weekly to pick up bone broth and the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. Great open cafe/ work/ connection space upstairs if you don’t feel like a sit down meal. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely delicious! Feeds body AND soul! Everything is presented so beautifully, the attention to detail and the presentation is a delight to the senses, so nourishing! So yummy!
The staff here were so friendly, explained their procedures to us clearly and the food was tasty and filling. There is something for everybody whether vegan or carnivore, or even those who can’t decide between pancakes or Benny - you can get half of both! Will definitely be back next time we’re in Victoria!
It's difficult to fault this place. Great Victorian ambiance, wonderful staff, extremely good food. Six stars!
Who knew healthy could be so frikkin’ tasty!!! The ‘Half and Half’ ( an odd but good take on a Benny plus an amazing pancake ) with a side of bacon was super good and filled me until supper.
The food was good. Service was slow. They said they were kid friendly, but outside of having crayons and a booster seat, there wasn't much. No kid friendly food/menu, not even any ketchup, kids love ketchup on everything.
Excellent food quality, tasty and very healthy, you feel good eating it. Seating options, either wait to be seated in dining or walk up and order then sit upstairs or outside. Very inviting, cozy decor. Great experience, highly recommend. And I'm from Victoria if that matters.
Amazing food and ambiance! Great healthy and vegan options. Friendly staff.
Warning! Cliches abound -but are necessary to describe Nourish. The food is -well -nourishing! It’s clean and tastes of a recent harvest and minimalist cooking. There is truly no dining experience like this in Victoria where your body is cared for by fresh, fortifying foods in zen-like surroundings. From the paintings to plants the dining area is vibrant giving a feeling of renewal to the character-house-turned restaurant. Eating is transformed into a meditative experience where you slowly and intentionally enjoy every bite. Daytime hours are a drag, but worth starting your outing early at Nourish!
I have been coming here for quite some time and always tried to get to know my servers because I was getting to the point of coming once a week either by myself, with my husband or with friends. It was lovely. Usually great food (sometimes weirdly chewy sausage or altering portions of food even tho I always get the same thing) and usually amazing service (I have had some servers who just aren't happy to work there). But then during the time of Covid, I have been able to interact with the owner and manager more and to my disappointment they are not the gems everyone believes them to be. I have seen them interact with some friends I come in with but also brush people off. I just assumed they were busy at the time. But I have been reaching out, supporting them still through this time buy buying groceries and what not, trying to make a genuine connection and just noting. No thank you, no response to messages. Nothing. I have been coming here for what would have been two years in August and no more. I will support other local restaurants during this time and going forward. I know they have been in the community for a while and are touted as something special and heart warming and caring. But I do not think it is genuine, and that saddens me.
What an amazing place for lunch! So cozy and warm. Vegan cheese cake is out of this world. Highly recommend. Reasonable prices.
Nourish is a wonderful little cafe, but it's time to enhance the menu! I've been visiting since they were located at the HCP gardens, and the menu seems pretty much the same since those days, and it's rather limited. I also think some menu items are pretentiously "healthy", sounding good on paper but in execution not easily digested.
Meal type
Decided to check it out cause it was close to our hotel and certainly glad we did. The food was amazing. Quite possibly the best breakfast I’ve had. The restaurant caters to omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans. It’s a quaint location. Staff were pleasant and very accommodating.
Delicious experience! Wonderful service. Had a fermented drink in a champagne glass that was oh-so-refreshing. Beautiful ambiance. Loved it.
I felt it was overrated. Expensive for what it was, 5 dollar add on breakfast sausage (small size) and 15% upfront tip charge (which I feel it is something I should be able to decide) they give you the option of changing it but it puts the customer on the spot. Got seated on a not so nice spot and in the end, that one table by the window was given to another couple eventhough we had requested specifically to be seated by the window at the beginning. *we were told it was for more than two people. I asked for honey and got and got watered-down honey instead. I asked why they did that and they answered it was easier for them to water it down due to the honey container they used. (Took to long to fill up). As we were leaving they didn't ask us how it went. I don't mean to be difficult but i did feel a bit robbed. I get it, its COVID19 and businesses are suffering, it takes time to adapt to the new ways but it's all in the details. I don't think I'll be going back.
Service
Delicious and healthy. Not alot of choice on the lunch menu. Lots of healthy drink choices. Kind of pricey though.
Walked by this place on my way to the wharf yesterday from my hotel, and luckily, stopped in today for lunch...green juice and escarole salad...absolutely wonderful! Great service, great food, cute decor. Only wish I could have tried one of their dinners before leaving Victoria.
This place is great as a brunch spot or just as a place to grab a coffee and get some work done. The upstairs has a semi-private area which I do a ton of work out of on my laptop. The music is always chill and non-invasive, coffee is great and they serve bone broth with healthy additions like turmeric and chili oil. Great for when your fasting and need a pickup!
I went to Nourish again this past week and had my decadent sleeping beauty pancakes. I chose a dandelion drink to accompany. Did you know you can buy both of these products in a mix to make at home. I could not buy the dandeliion mix that day as they were just making a fresh batch to go out on shelves the following day.I will continue to return on a regular basis. There is both outside and inside dining.
Best pancakes I’ve ever had! They’re better than cake! Gluten free too.
Would be nice to have some decent non-vegan options for the boyfriends that get dragged here. Maybe a decent sized portion as they are too small for the quality. I can appreciate the restaurants cause but there needs to be some diversity. I went for breakfast and got pancakes that were made from oats, had bee pollen and flowers on them. I was in the mood for simple pancakes. Having a few more simple options could be beneficial to your menu.
I deliver the best seafood in the world to Chef Sergio and he transforms it in the kitchen to make wonderful meals for those lucky to eat there. Here are a couple pictures of the herb garden that was just created this summer. Some people go there to have tea and snacks outside to enjoy the scents and the local Victorian atmosphere.
Breakfast with a difference. If you're bored with the usual bacon and eggs, come here!!! The oakcake pancakes are a must.
This was one of my favorite places, but increased prices (almost $20 total for basically 2 eggs and toast? Are you serious?), limited choices and small servings are deal breakers.
Fantastic food and service. Great for vegans and non-vegans. If I had found this restaurant earlier I would have had breakfast here every day of my trip.
Nourish is incredible, My favourite place in Victoria! I will always make a point to come any time I am in the City. The service is great and the food is absolutely Devine!!! Delicious bone broth! So Good!!!
So happy I was able to get here for brunch. The food was superb, the space itself is so charming and the experience was great. I can understand why it's so popular - it is definitely worth the visit. I would highly recommend going and look forward to returning.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience here! And will definitely be back. The food was delicious and super fresh (ps I love how small their menu is! Always better to do a few things, but very well, instead of doing lots and nothing really right…) The drinks were creative and very good. Perfect temperature to drink them straight away - not too hot, not too cold (we ordered the beet latte and a cappuccino). Also, how cute and beautiful is this place, which is located in a cute house right in the neighborhood… Last but not least, they also have a little store/to go area in case you don’t want to go in for a sit down meal!
Arrived there just before 11 AM on a Sunday. Waited 45 minutes for a table and another good 30 minutes for the food (for 2 people). The place is lovely and the food was good (nice vegan options) but I can't say it was worth the long wait.
Tasty, cozy, healthy and elite feeling experience. The fish dishes, the dandelion tea and the chocolate beetroot cake were all amazing.
It was busy, so it took a while to get something, but everyone was friendly and the Imperial Sunrise latte (turmeric, chai) and cookie were great! Lots of vegan and gluten free options too.
Bonita bowl was good, but the "pancakes" are not pancakes. Nice refreshments and atmosphere, though we found the staff and the overall experience extremely pretentious and expensive for what it was. Will not be going back should we return to Victoria.
Cozy place with fresh and very tasty food!
There's truth in the name: "Nourishing" is certainly a good word to describe the food. Creative, healthy, and also the only place I know of that offers a coffee substitute drink featuring chicory root & other ingredients.
Favourite breakfast and lunch spot. Love the sleeping beauty pancakes and breakfast cookies. Excellent soup too that's perfect with an order of cashew cheese.
Quirky, unique and hip. Very popular, morning line ups to get in. For a cozy coffee with friends it'd be great but would not recommend for families.
Was really good. Dairy-free options great.o my thing: too much kale on the plate, and also for eggs benny- needed to be a little bit more benny-ish; sweet potatoes just don't have the same effect as regular potatoes. But very good!
Lunch
We loved this place! I have specific dietary restrictions and they had food available that both my spouse and I could enjoy! Gluten free and vegan options for me and pancakes and bacon for my spouse! Definitely would go again the next time we're in the area
2 years ago they had a phenomenal menu. Now it's just rabbit food
Absolutely worth the wait! Healthy food sourced locally and great coffee. The sauces were divine, and almost everything could be made dairy or gluten free. The drinks were well made, and there were lots of options for people that don't drink coffee.
Long wait but the food was worth it. Cute little spot with a small menu. The dairy free & vegan options are good. Best London Fog I've had in Victoria!
Great quality food, not mentioning the atmosphere which is sooo cozy and well decorated, the latte is also pretty good. Once you enter the restaurant you can see that they have an excellent service and the whole menu is so thoughtful. Great job guys!
Healthy food and pricey, but tiny portions. We asked extra bacon but it was not enough. Nice heritage house, vintage interior.
Very good. It was our first time visiting for a breakfast from seeing the good reviews on online. The waitress explained everything kindly about the menu and how all of the food and ingredients are different and special from others. I got the eggs on sour dough toasts with a cup of latte made with their own homemade cashew milk. I loved their mushroom and walnut pate on the toast and you have to try the glazed smoked bacons too. Good enough amount for a breakfast. Beautiful place to eat if you want something not too heavy and healthy to start your day with.
I’ve been here twice & have had a great experience both times! The cashew cheese & seedy bread is so so goood. We ended up having our wedding dinner here!
This is my favorite restaurant in Victoria! Such nourishing food! Wholefoods and the best nourishing drinks too! Everything on their menu is gluten free too! Just don't expect fast service.
I can't get my wife to stop talking about this place! haha. Despite the wait, she claims it was the best place in Victoria. They had a lot of gluten-free and dairy-free options. My wife had the "Benny's gone nuts" which was cooked to perfection. she ordered a sausage along with it that was very tasty. and I unashamedly got the "Princess pancakes" with bacon added on. It was just the right amount of sweetness with maple syrup drizzled on top. We split the Cashew cheese and I ordered a coffee as well. Everything was very tasty. It's been two weeks and my wife cant wait to go back to Victoria, JUST to eat at Nourish
Great food. Excellent actually, but please fix your slamming front door! So annoying! And, for the love of good food, take that stupid cow bell off!
Small menu but delicious food. The atmosphere was casual, but plating and location are suitable for a more formal meal. Kid friendly, but not the place to feed them a hot dog and fries.
A so called "foodie adventure", but I'm not sure if it's that much of an "adventure" actually. Large groups should definitely reserve beforehand. Small portions, of fresh food is served. Delicious - but again, overpriced for such small portions.
Nourish is the brunch place that Victoria needs. It's not like the other brunch places its a fun brunch place! It's food is different then just the hash or benny and makes you feel fresh and full and energized (what?!?! all THREE?!?!?). Would recommend to my bestest friends and all of you using Google maps.
Holy mother of good food this place is amazing! My bf took me here for breakfast this past Sunday and as we were rounding the corner I saw this beautiful heritage home and was like whoa that's stunning, to my surprise it was the restaurant! Two floors of beautiful decor and character. We walked in to find others had the same idea as us but we put our names on the list and waited no longer than 20 mins to get a seat. e
If you're looking for somewhere for lunch with a variety of heathy, feel good options this is a great spot. Located in a repurposed heritage house in James Bay, I missed it the first time trying to find it but glad I did eventually find it. Definitely recommend this as a place to visit. Smallish establishment, so lines/waits are possible although I have yet to experience that.
Amazing farm to table restaurant in the wonderful neighborhood of James Bay. The restaurant is in an old Victorian house with a ton of character. The food is creative and the dishes are well constructed. They have fantastic vegan options as well as gluten free. Their drink menu is delicious and you can order drinks (or food for that matter) from the cafe area on the main floor. If you don't want full service, you can order from the cafe and go upstairs where they have a no service / seat yourself area. I love this place and we always take visitors for a meal here
Really unique and tasty food. Always a busy place the few times we've gone so you have to stand waiting outside to get in. Cozy once you're in though and friendly staff.
A lovely place. It's my second visit & again, the breakfast was delicious. There are some unique offerings using local ingredients. Also, some items available to purchase in their cafe (try the seed bread!) And such a charming space in a heritage house.
Dine in
Food is imaginative and place is heritage. Great for lunch oe dinner. WE asked if they would tone down the music for our old ears and they obliged. Made a big difference!
Vegetarian, GF dishes available. The restaurante is in a historical building, and sometimes it's a bit noise specialy for older folks. But the food served here is superb. Friendly staff, coffe bar also located in the building, so you can order café lattes and cappuccinos.
Meal type
I went here for brunch, which usually isn't my favorite meals, but the food at Nourish was amazing. While they did have a classic brunch, they also had some more exciting and creative options. In the end I had the scrambled eggs, and I'd recommend them to anyone.
I do not normally write a review but our recent experience pushed me to tell how bad it was, we love Victoria, the place and the friendly people. Though this experience has been a “not so friendly” one , we will still go back to this beautiful city :) Whenever we visit Victoria we usually include this restaurant in our list of our “must places to dine”, to tell you all we’ve been to this restaurant 6 or 7 times (that is how much we like their sleeping beauty pancakes) Though I did notice in our previous visit November 2017 that one of the lady server was sooo “fake” and “pretentious” - unfortunately she is the one who served us again in our recent visit just a week ago. *** After waiting for around 15-20mins to finally get our table we are so patient enough to wait for our waiter to come back and take our order, well she just dropped the menu, left and came back after another 10mins to ask us “what we would like to have for a drink”..then she just turned her back WITHOUT asking if we are ready to order our meal, so we nicely approached her that we are ready to order, ***her face changed almost with the rolling eyes expression and told us these exact words : “ I’m just gonna key in your coffee, but fine yah “GO FOR IT” what is your order ? (in bitchy tone). How friendly and caring she was on the *tables next to our left and right —is the exact opposite treatment she gave us (just putting and taking the stuffs on our table) she was so rude, we are so clueless why she’s like that, it was breakfast and we dont wanna ruin the beautiful day. I am not sure if us being “asians” explains our experience as we are the only asians in the room :) - but one thing is for sure WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK to that place! We dine * 15 April 2018, 10:36am, Table 8, Server Waiter : Ali 2323 — in case the manager sees this review
Service
Imaginative menu ideas, beautiful and delicious refreshments, visually stunning meals. The food stands tall and the staff have always been phenomenal. We love it here! The ingredients are wonderful and prepared in such a yummy way. Hard to imagine disappointment in a visit to Nourish.
This is a very cozy brunch restaurant with a friendly staff, and an amazing food that has a lot of unexpected but amazing flavour combinations. From the sweet potatoes substituting the bread on this eggs Benedict — that will forever ruin any other eggs Benny I’ll ever have after this experience — to my partners pancakes with a subtle touch of lavender in it. Everything was delicious. Even the flat white that I ordered that was made more like a latte than a flat white, I was able to forgive because it was among one of the best lattes I ever had. And I’m a trained barista.
I have never written a review before (which in itself says something) so here it goes! I went to Nourish for the first time yesterday (International Women's Day ????♀️). I had an absolutely wonderful experience! Food was absolutely delicious!! I had the pancakes, my friend had the soup of the day & we shared the golden wedges. The service was beyond exceptional. Our server was so kind & friendly & seemed genuinely stoked to be there. I don't remember her name but her cat is called Loki Pickles, I think & her dog has a food middle name too- not that this matters for prospective customers but hopefully the owners see this & give her a high five! If I needed a job, I'd want to work here 100% (tbh I kinda wanna quit my job so I can work here?? ????)! Back to the menu: I'm celiac & vegetarian so eating out can be really difficult & just plain annoying. I usually only have two options to choose from. HOWEVER I had SO many options at Nourish!! I actually needed time to decide??! I'm really looking forward to going back & making my way through the menu! My friend & I left feeling so full. Our tummies & hearts quite literally nourished. We've already marked our next brunch date here in our calendars!! ????
We went for breakfast, and it was so, so good! The menu options are quite unique but that doesn't take away from the flavour at all. Service was fantastic, I love how you have an option to order coffees and wait upstairs for your seat, and the venue itself was really nice for photos and to lounge about. Would highly recommend if you're able to make it a part of your day
Such a cute cafe with a delicious vegetarian option(a) for breakfast. Excellent service.
Seriously the best meal I have ever had. A foodies adventure is the most appropriate slogan for this amazing eatery. I will be back every time I am in Victoria.
My favourite place in the world! My birthday, there. My special breakfast, there. My meeting with girlfriends, there. So amazing!!!!
Brunch
Great place to eat, good menu, great staff,
We went to Nourish twice for breakfast two weeks ago at the tail end of a Canadian holiday. The food and service were excellent. This was the most interesting breakfast experience we have had ,being so different to the standard traditional breakfasts. The seed bread and cashew cheese were memorable. Pity we live 15,000 kms away!!!!
Paleo breakfast place! We love that waiting is no big deal. Grab a drink and head up stairs. Prepare to be blown away with dairy and gluten free dishes. Will go again. Thanks!
The food was so fresh and delicious I loved the sleeping beauty pancake. Also, the drink was really smooth and had a unique different flavour. The presentation was really good. The servers were very friendly and cheerful
Great food let down by ridiculous waiting times. First a wait to be seated, then a wait to be served food. Took over an hour from entering to eat. Not even peak season.
IMHO the best brunch in Victoria. Order wisely. All menu options are great, but a few are fantastic. Yours to discover.
Yaaaaum. Creamiest bone broth of my life!
A perfect fit for a relaxed meal in laid-back James Bay. I've been to this location a few times, and enjoyed every meal experience here. The restaurant is built into a lovely turn-of-the-century old home, with lots of room inside and out - they even have both a chill internet lounge AND special-events rooms upstairs! As a bonus, there's a large wrap-around patio outside, with room for dozens of people in the warmer weather. Inside, the high ceilings and simple rustic-esque decor( is that a thing? )give the dining area plenty of open space: no bumping elbows with the tables next to you. The old wooden floor is charming, as is the central fireplace and the menus tucked into classical books on each table. The breakfast I had here was excellent: creamy eggs, medium bacon not-quite-crisp, flax-press bread with an apple compote side and even some greens with vinaigrette - delicious and the perfect size to fill me without feeling stuffed. The bright, airy feel of the room with its many windows helps to really get you revved for the day with a morning meal here. The dinner we had was at a table towards the rear of the main room, tucked into an expansive bay window. We had a great view outside as we dined in the bright sunshine, feeling more like we were at home than dining out. The meal was excellent: I had their oatmeal pancakes, which were firm and filling while not being heavy. While it did get a bit warm inside during the summer, the many open windows let breezes in nicely. The service is excellent, with attentive staff keeping drinks full and diners happy. No-one ever seems like they're rushed, as I believe they keep a solid staff-to-guest ration even during the busier times of day. Everyone was friendly and smiling and it felt like they really wanted you to stay to enjoy your meal as long as you liked - a rarity in the busy Vic meal scene. I'd go back again in a heartbeat, any time of day. This is the sort of place I've love to live nearer too, so I could meander down for breakfast, linger until lunch on the patio, then write all afternoon in the lounge upstairs...
I had the "Vegan Golden Benny" which included crumbled tempeh, golden sweet potato wedges, seasonal roasted veg, farm greens, turmeric cashew hollandaise, dukkah almond sprinkles. I wouldn't say this is a substitute for benny but absolutely did not disappoint. It was flavourful, filling, and whole food ingredients.
Very high quality ingredients, presentation was good & delicious. Service is a little slow but it's that kind of place. A lot of thought and detail put into the menu items.
Amazing! Amazing food, vibe and staff! 10/10 recommend!
Beautiful and charming restaurant with so much character. Special dining experience with so much attention and detail put on each plate. I do wish they had more plant based main dishes. Fantastic cashew cheese and seedy bread, must try! I can't wait for my next visit.
The building is adorable. Staff is amazingly friendly and insightful on the best dishes of the day. The pancakes are outstanding. It's like a cake. The eggs are fresh and fluffy. Their homemade hot sauce is on the mild side though. Coffee is and full bodied.
Awesome place! My husband and I went to the Botanical Bar for some drinks prior to a night out. Such a cozy place and great service! We'll definitely be back!
Nourish is doing all the right things! Friendly people, food for everyone.
This was our favourite spot on our weekend trip to Victoria! Nourish has achieved a good balance between being cute and trendy without being pretentious! I ordered the half-and-half sleeping beauty pancakes and golden breakfast, which were both AMAZING, especially the pancake. And my husband ordered the new normal, a take on a build your own breakfast, which he loved as well. The golden wedges were not what we expected, but with the aioli that comes with, we loved them! We also loved the sourdough toast and strawberry jam so much that we ordered a second helping after we had finished our first breakfast!! Will definitely be back on our next trip to Victoria!
Super yummy! My husband and I visited during Dine Around Victoria and we each tried different things on their $30 menu. The cashew cheese is life-affirming. I love their healthy, local, vegan options. This restaurant is at home in a city of diversity, health-consciousness, and hippy west coast flavour. It was neither my first visit to Nourish, nor will it be my last. ????
Excellent vegan and gluten-free options in the restaurant. I don’t recommend going in if you’re in a rush. Everything is so delicious but it’s a very busy place so it takes time to get a seat.
Amazing food made with quality ingredients. You can really tell how much care is put into the meal. Tastes as beautiful as it looks. However, coffee was not my favourite as the house-made nut milk is not as creamy as I prefer.
Dang the food is amazing. Just get prepared to wait for it. This place is bumpin on Sundays so it's probably best to go really early if you aren't okay with waiting.
Another delicious meal at Nourish! My daughter and I come here regularly and have never been disappointed with the food. This time I tried the very tasty oatmeal pancakes topped with fruit and my daughter enjoyed one of her favorites, the cashew cheese with a side of sausage. It was a lovely Mother’s Day treat!
Can get busy but nice waiting area upstairs.
Came here for the first time today, and it definitely won't be the last! The food here is AMAZING. I had eggs Benedict with chorizo and I can honestly say I don't remember ever having a better breakfast. It is a little bit on the pricier side, but I promise it is worth it. Perfection!
Stopped for lunch, which turned out to be brunch (only). Excellent Sleeping Beauty oatmeal pancakes! I also stole from my wife's plate, eggs bennie, which had the best homemade hollandaise I've had.
Nourish is settled in a quiet part of town, but within walking distance of the Downtown core. The home is gorgeous, and the overall weathered motif is done really well. I thought the food was exceptional, the kitchen did a great job. Was a bit disappointed in the service though. Person was just going through the motions. That is the only reason I docked a star. I would recommend for brunch if you’re in Victoria.
Beautiful “fresh heritage” room. Innovative artisanal focus. Cashew Hollandaise, rotating kombucha and a chicken leg as a breakfast side!
Great food and friendly staff. Since reservations aren't permitted, the waits for seating more than four people can be lengthy. Even the counter service lineup takes ten minutes of waiting before placing your order.
Atmosphere is great; bright, sunny, well lit. Fast wifi and interior is very clean. A very well-done conversion of an old house into a cafe/breakfast house. Menu is a little limited, but food is served quickly, and seemed of very high quality. (Farm-fresh quality.) Plenty of gluten-free options. Like one reviewer said, coffee is just "ok." (But its also inexpensive at $2.00.) The Benedict meal was amazing. Very nice bacon. One thing though - don't expect white sugar. Its brown sugar, even for your coffee. Take open-minded new-agey types with you here. Very practical types traveling with you might balk at the "funky" things, like the "bread" slice made entirely out of various seeds.
The décor is lovely and so welcoming. But first and foremost in excellence is the food. Not only is it delicious, you actually feel good afterwards and not like you've overindulged. I love it here.
We decided to try this place because of the ratings, however our first experience was terrible. When we arrived the hostess approached and seated a family that but didn’t acknowledge our presence. We stood waiting for 15 minutes while other staff walked around us. We were never greeted or given a timeframe. Eventually another family walked in behind us and the hostess returned. There was no apology for our 15 minute wait, in fact she didn’t even say hello, she just offered a table for two with stools that was vacant the whole time. We asked about another table ( with actual chairs) and she said I have to give that to the family waiting behind. We left very disappointed and angry at the treatment. We will reach out to management soon if they care to hear about our experience.
I've been there 3 times so far. They have very interesting dishes you probably could not find somewhere else. If you think you are food- conservative, then this is not the place for you. Otherwise, I definitely recommend this restaurant to you. Who knows, you may fall in love with this place.☺️
This little kitchen/cafe is one of the cutest dining experiences in Victoria. The cocktails were on point, and the food was off the charts good. Each dish was so perfectly balanced, well rounded, and tastefully done. I can't wait to go back!
I’ve always loved Nourish, I love the food and I love the atmosphere. That’s why I chose to celebrate my birthday there today with a few friends for brunch. I know that Nourish doesn’t take reservations, so we patiently waited for our table for 6. Brunch was delicious, the service was great, and we all paid our bills. About 5-10 minutes after we’ve settled up, one of the staff members came to the table and said “I’m all for socializing guys, but I really need this table”. She was somewhat apologetic about it, and I totally get it. I worked in a busy restaurant for a few years and I know what it’s like to be waiting for a table to leave so you can seat the next people. However, I imagine the people who were going to be seated after us didn’t have a reservation either, and they also had to wait, just like we did. Unfortunately, a very pleasant brunch ended somewhat unpleasantly. Celebrating and eating together is a social event... please take it into consideration next time you ask your guests to leave because you need the table.
Lovely vegan-friendly restaurant. A bit pricey for what you get, but vegan food prepared with love is not cheap! Lots of gluten-free options too. Attentive service.
Such a relaxing place to have a meal! Amazing food options for the conscious eater.
I have not eaten here, however I did purchase a gift card from Nourish Kitchen & Cafe for my parents for Christmas of 2020. There was a bit of a mistake in them getting the gift card, but Nourish Kitchen dealt with it in the most professional manner! thanks.
Very interesting atmosphere. The place is just a house redesigned into this cafe. Friendly staff. The food was just ok though. I had the Bennys (with eggs) and it just didn't stand out. My girlfriend had the vegan option of the Bennys and she loved it. Its one of the few places you can get vegan Bennys that we know of.
Great place. Ordered the pancakes which were delicious, zucchini soup was super tasty, and breakfast sandwich was delightful. We did however come for the gluten free awareness aspect of the restaurant which didn’t meet expectation as our meal which had to be celiac safe did not pass the gluten free test from Nima.
The Best Breakfast I had in a while. Loved the place and the awesome staff❤️!
Brown rice congee was amazing. Flavourful and filling. The pickles were great too. Highly recommend this place.
Yummy coffee and brunch in a really nice setting. Staff friendly and accommodating - gf / vegan options available.
Quite possibly the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. The quality of the ingredients and creativity of these original dishes are the reason I'm going to be coming back to Noorish many times in the future.
The service and staff here is impeccable. Everyone was so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was also delicious. Highly recommend
tons of natural light, cozy and laidback atmosphere, wonderful service staff, delicious food loved the roasted vegetables and sautéed kale with the eggs benedict, different take on pancakes but still delicious, scrambled eggs were also tasty highly recommend! they do tend to be quite busy so be prepared, but definitely worth the wait
Great service and yummy food, my tastebuds were so happy to find flavorful vegan food! The food was so beautiful and delicious. Everything was so bright and fresh. Definitely going back!
Came back the very next day after I tried for the first time because it was so delicious! The Bonita bowl was the perfect size and sooo yummy. It's also nice to be able to have such a high quality breakfast, and also have a drink! The ceaser (as pictured) was perfect. Make sure you check out the cozy study area upstairs!
Hipster atmophere complete with tealight holders made of pink Himalayan salt. Ok if you've forgotten what real toast and hash browns taste like. That said, the eggs and bacon were fantastic - I just feel like in their effort to cater to the GF crowd that they have forgotten about the rest of us.
Okay, the restaurant is in a beautiful heritage house, very quaint. Food is excellent. The bad news for the regular budget and friendly person: Extremely expensive, tiny portions, pretentious and unfriendly servers on all levels of this house. Even though you emptied your pocket book be prepared to wait a while for your food. There is an entitlement feel and it disturbs the comfort and the air of a place that could be cozy and welcoming.
