One of the BEST meals we've ever had. Only hiccup was a crab we ordered that had almost no meat in it and some of the meat was leathery. No problem....manager came over and made it right. Our other crab were moist, sweet and delicious. Steaks were tender and juicy. Clams and mussels equally delicious in white wine sauce. Server ws attentive and friendly. Good thing we don't live in Victoria anymore, or we'd go broke eating here all the time. Next time we're in town, we will come back here!

Can't believe 1.5 yrs on the island and no seafood persay. Remedied that today and was very plsed. Hot lobster dip and lobster shrimp quesadila with fries and a red sangria. Absolutely yummy and great service!!!
One of the best places I've eaten on the island. Prices are high, but the service of every staff member and quality of the food just can't be beat! If your looking for a good tropical drink I'd recommend the "Danny Ocean". This place is world class!
Great place to eat, drink and hangout with a view of Victoria's harbor. Can't get any better. Thank you for letting us use your patio to have a good time during pandemic and another clampdown.
Steak and service was lacklustre. We decided to go to Nautical Nellies off a whim as a last minute replacement to the original restaurant we had planned to visit and it was quite disappointing. The prices of Nautical Nellies are slightly above average especially when it comes to the likes of steaks. I opted to try the Double King burger and was pleased with what I got, for $24 this was worth it in my eyes, the patties were actually quality and the smokey flavour from the grill was good. My significant other decided to get the New York Strip and at $45, this was not worth it. The first steak we received was not medium rare that my SO requested, and the taste was just not existent to the point that we requested it be remade of which the server was a little hesitant of. The second steak we received was not much better, this time they did get the steak to be medium rare but the flavour and quality of meat still seemed to be lacking and in no way was worthy of the $40+ price point. Fries were decent tho. Also, the Lobster Dip was very good, but just know that the portion is not the largest for what you pay. As for service, this location was quite lacking in this department the night we had visited. During our meal we weren’t checked up on unless we had called over a server. Additionally, my glass of water remained empty throughout our night and no attempt at asking if I would enjoy a refill was made. I’m not one to usually complain about these things but when negatives stack like this, it has to be mentioned. Hopefully our experience is an outlier.
Service
don't usually do this, but the fish and chips was a frozen 4 oz stick a pathetic portion, no coleslaw no lemon for premium price, tartar was mostly mayonnaise with a drop of relish in it. Took family out of town there, not sure what happened as we have enjoyed before, server was knowingly apologetic and seemed prepared for the feedback as they conveyed most of the customers who ordered this had also been severely disappointed. worst fish and chips ever. $120 for 2 meals no drinks. Server was very nice - overworked.
We had a lovely meal from your Anniversary menu,, staff was fantastic but we were disappointed to find out the item we came for (Mussels and Fries) could not be ordered because the mussels were being saved for the more expensive platter orders instead. The drinks were great and the Calamari and Lobster dip was delicious.
Food and service was fantastic, the lobster dip was amazing and the seafood hot pot was delicious and filling. Definitely go eat here!
Decent and excellent restaurant. My friend and I ordered tomahawk steak, seafood tasting tower and half a dozen oysters at happy hour. Tomahawk steak is worth a try, it is very attractive and you will definitely be the focus of the restaurant. The tower and the oysters taste very good, suitable for people who don’t know what to order, and they are affordable. The strip loin+lobster tail for lunch is also delicious. I love lobster tail.
Lunch
What a fabulous restaurant. Great food and service. Love this place.
Service
The venue was beautiful and the view was spectacular. The food was pricey but deliscious, also the ceasars were on par!
An amazing restaurant with fresh seafood dishes and friendly staff members. The best fish and chips option off season in town! We loved their happy hour oyster options, super fresh and decent size.
l think maybe is most tasty seafood restaurantin Victoria. The steak is too old ,But It is tasty.I perfer the king crab. The king crab tastes so delicious that l even want to have another dish. But,unfortunately,l 'm full. The environment is clean and romantic. The seat near the window is good. (๑><๑)
Service
The fish was bland and my potatoes were undercooked. My friend’s steak didn’t have much flavour either. The waitress didn’t warn me a dish was hot, and I scalded three of my fingers when I touched it. Unfortunately, I was served the wrong entree (halibut) after being very explicit when I ordered. I assumed it must be a upscale/unique version of halibut fish and chips so I ate it without questioning the waitress (she only said “halibut” when she put it down). Thankfully the manager did charge me for what I actually ordered instead of what I received and we did enjoy the lobster dip, though the prices are extremely expensive.

I'm really kicking myself because I've lived here my entire life but had never been to Nautical Nellie's until tonight and WOW! Fantastic service, wicked drinks, and AMAZING food. Probably the best steak I've ever had and the seafood was just perfect too. Do yourself a favour and go now.????
The meal was top notch and the service was very good and the one drink that wasn't up to par was taken off the bill. This is the kind of restaurant that you want to eat at I will be back.
Dinner
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday as she said she wanted seafood. We both ordered a seafood pasta dish (Seafood Tagliatelle) for $37 plate. What we got was a bowl with 1 scallop, 1 prawn, and some very tiny mussels with pasta. We were both really disappointed. As fans of Seafood pastas (seafood fettuccine/linguine) this one was ranks close to the bottom. Sauce was under seasoned too. The Lobster dip we had as an appy was pretty good but it would have been nice if the waitress warned us the dish was scorching hot as my gf burned her arm. Anyway, if you’re fan of seafood pasta dishes you will do much better elsewhere. The real killer is they’re charging $37 for a dish that should be served at lunch for “maybe” $22. ***We ate at the restaurant Dec 4th 7pm, reservation under Richard***
Best meal I've ever eaten at a restaurant. My wife is a very picky eater, and so is my 2 yr old daughter. Both devoured their meals. I pride myself in being able to cook the best steak that any of my guests ever eat, so I hardly ever order a steak as I am usually disappointed. You did not disappoint. I had the beef filet with lobster tail, your bourbon cream sauce was saved for my potatoes because everything else was seasoned so perfectly. I can not express how impressed I was with the quality of food and top notch service. The hostess fit us in between reservations, and our waitress was all over us with helpfulness. When the food came, all 3 of us went silent and dug in. Simply amazing.
We are vacationing with friends and wanted a place with a Harbor view and a variety of menu choices. Nautical Nellie's did not disappoint. The cocktails were delightful, the service superb, and the food delicious! The restaurant is a short walk from the Harbor Ferry near Red Fish Blue Fish.
We went during happy hour. The location was great, got a bit of a harbour view. The food was tasty, probably the best meal we had in Victoria. Drinks were great. Service was attentive and servers were polite and courteous. When we left people started coming for supper and the restaurant certainly got a lot more packed. I would recommend the happy hour and would try their dinner.
Food was ok. The calamari was nice and crispy but was a bit over seasoned with salt. Tuna tataki was seared nicely but lacked seasoning. The bread that came with the tuna was crispy and buttery and was quite delightful. The server was wonderful. She was very friendly and personable. We were a bit disappointed because we called ahead of time to ask about happy hour and specifically asked about their oyster deal. They told us the pricing and all about the deal over the phone so we made reservations for their happy hour. Only to find out that they were completely sold out of oysters that day. Disappointing, but it happens.

Food was delicious crab was a lil on the expensive side but totally worth the money. Everything was superb.
Dinner
Not happy right from the get go. Order a jug of margaritas, horrible tasting, no triple sec or any other kind of orange liqueur added. We were waiting for 1 other guest to arrive, waitress suggested placing our appy order with her so it would be quick to arrive when she did. Appys showed up way before her! Meals were just okay. Risotto scallop dish lacked in presentation. Seafood Hot Pot was not very good. The tomatoe sauce in the hot pot totally took away flavors of the seafood. For 1 scallop, 1prawn, 1-2 Oz piece of fish and a sprinkle of lobster in the sauce was not worth the $$ spent.
Food: Burger is juicy and tasty. It came with burnt, refried-tasting fries. I am sensitive to re-used oil. The calamari wasn't only greasy but also smelled like it was cooked in re-used oil. The service is good though. I was attended frequently and welcomed well.
We came here at noon from our cruise, having some free time on shore. We were 8 people, and they got a table for us real quick. The waiteress was super friendly, we asked her about ice cream places and she came back with a list of. The entrees were really really good, everything was fresh. The shrimp and lobster roll and the tuna salad were outstanding. The only thing we didnt like about the place is the desserts. The sorbet was regular, the butter cake was good, but the cheese cake felt like eating mascarpone straight out of a jar and the creme brulee felt like eating a bar of butter, just like that. The donuts were dry. Shame, everything was really good besides the desserts.
The food and service is great. The Lobster tail and steak was delicious. Yum ???? ???? ????
Very very good all around food.
Very good food. Had the dinner for 2 promo.great service.this restaurant does it right. Caesar salad.wygu beef carpaccio.seafood mexican rice.seafood hot pot.white chocolate creme brulee key lime pie.
A delicious option in Victoria! We had rock crab, lobster bisque ????. Seafood hot pot and lobster dip. AMAZING. And excellent service. You must try it.

Great place for sea food. A bit pricey but most good restaurants are.
Lunch
We ended up changing our dinner reservation to this place after being recommended by the horse carriage guide. The staffs were attentive. We quickly got seated even though we were early. Extensive menu and impressive variety of options from seafood to burgers. We went there for seafood so we did just that. We ordered seafood chowder, house salad and the northwest dinner platter. The chowder was full of meat and very hearty. Passion fruit vinegrette in the salad was a refreshing Surprise with chrisp salad leaves and sweet pickled beets. The highlight was the massive platter with lobster, shrimps, wild salmon, scallops, mussels, and crab legs. They were perfectly prepared. Down to the last bit. A bit spendy but worth it while visiting Victoria.
The food was amazing. And just so delicious. Our server was amazing. The atmosphere was great. And we had a great time. I would definitely recommend. It is worth visiting.
A great steak and seafood place right nesr the harbour. The wait was a bit long for main entrees (~1 hour, but they didn't seem super busy) and they don't offer any bread service which I would typically expect at a place like this. Had the seafood chowder which was very well done and the surf & turf for my main (Caribbean lobsters, hence 2 tails). Overall the food and wine was very good!
Amazing service! Even better food. Little pricy but well worth it for the quality. I had the seafood linguini absolutely spectacular
AMAZING OH MY WORD. Genuinely one of the best meals I've had in a while. The wait staff are incredible and friendly and charismatic, the atmosphere is lovely, the views are great! They have aquariums with pufferfish and clownfish and other little treasures of the sea. I went to the restaurant slightly skeptical of the raving reviews and here I am.... to give a raving review myself. Delicious. Beautiful food. Views of the ocean. Phenomenal seafood and steak. Servers recommendations for appetizers were amazing as well.
Very good food and service, the oysters and the crab legs are the best
Meh... I have to agree with some of the other reviewers in that the place is dark & the food has a peculiar fishy/ocean water taste to it... kinda screams that they need Gordon Ramsey to come pay a visit. All humor aside, I ordered the Shellfish Combo.. the prawns were good.. decent size & flavor.. the crab cake was ALL breading & reminded me of the 'stuffed crab' foil things we used to get as a kid.. The lobster (Caribbean) had a very heavy ocean water flavor to it.. so bad I said something to the waitress.. offered for her to try a piece & she politely declined.. But they did take care of the situation by throwing in a an extra order of prawns at no charge.
Great food ???? great staff great services 5 star
This place impressed me so much, I’m sad I won’t be able to go again for a while as I’m not from Victoria!! Went during happy hour and got the 1/2 litre of white sangria, the lobster and shrimp quesadilla, and truffle fries. The sangria was a great value and hit the spot, and lobster and shrimp quesadilla was absolutely amazing, and the truffle fries were an astronomical portion size. Seriously, I could have spent $6 for the truffle fries and just eaten them as a meal!! Our server was really nice and helpful, his name was Brian I think? If I’m ever in Victoria again, this place will be my first stop for food. I was so blown away by how tasty the food was and how friendly the service was!
Our server Matt was great! Food was delicious I had the seafood hot pot and my bf had the cali rare and it was perfectly cooked and tender. They also had a vodka sour cocktail that is to die for.
The patio has a beautiful view of the waterfront and a transparent wind guard sheilds guests during their meal. The service was spectacular! Our waiter was very attentive and our glasses seemed to never empty. The food was delicious, I tried oysters for the first time here and it was a fun dining experience.
Good spot for seafood. Got the seafood platter and I would say the lobster, crab legs, scallops and shrimp were absolutely worth it. The tiramisu for dessert was disappointing but our server did comp it when she noticed we weren't super enthused about it. Good service, average food aside from seafood.
Fun, classy restruant in downtown Victoria with tons of good menu items and lots of seafood to try, they also have steaks and a very big wine list. Would recommend this for anyone looking for good seafood, the prawns were so fresh and sweet. Don't miss out on the Mac and cheese it was amazing.

Good food. Great service. Nice-ish but cramped patio. They have a lot more options for seafood and oysters when comparing to seafood places on Wharf St but not as many for crab. We ordered the 6 Oyster platter, which was fairly priced and fresh. Their Prosciutto wrapped chicken was an absolute delight. Their Fish and Chips is also amazing. The speciality fish (salmon/halibut)looked good but as is the case with every restaurant, expensive and small portions. They also have lots of options for steak which I have not tried yet but might someday.
Amazing! We love coming here whenever we are in Victoria, the food is always tasty. Brian is our favorite, and makes us feel like we are regulars!
Food was delicious, our server was great! Highly recommend.
Clam chowder and the seafood hot pot are perfectly matched! Great customer service, highly recommended.
We had wonderful food and great service. Highly recommend this for any seafood lover.
What amazing and great surprise was to have dinner at Nautical Nellies! The place is really charming, and has a great atmosphere. The staff was undoubtedly the most fantastic part. They were all kind and courteous, in special Sheila who was our waitress on Saturday night. We have a friend with us with a lot of dietary restrictions, and she was able to manage to adapt the dish he would like to have and keep it under his cutback and so amazing that we all were in jealous. All the dishes taste delicious. The seasons were great balanced, we could taste all the ingredients separated and they all together were just fantastic. Nothing was too much in the plate and the portions size are just enough, not too little, not too much. The beer was perfect cold and iced (what is very important for us Brazilians). The wine taste very nice. The grand finale was the Cheesecake, that we all agree was the best we ever had. We are looking forward to comeback to this restaurant and try the all menu!
Really great in every way. The service was excellent, the food fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The crab cakes are worth bragging about (which they do) and came with a delightful chutney. The halibut was flaky, tender and flavorful. I went all the way and tried the white chocolate creme brulee and it was well worth the indulgence. The menu really is very expensive, though, so you must be prepared for that. But if you are treating yourself or just feel like springing for a good meal, Nellies is a great choice. Oh, and reservations are a must if you don't want to wait for quite a while.

Went to Nautical Nellies twice while we were in Victoria. Great service both times. I did not take picture of the cocktails we had the first time but there were delicious. We had the blueberry tea and an espresso martini. The crab sandwich was awesome and I typically do not like if because most restaurants kill the flavor by adding globs of mayo. Would definitely recommend. There is a regular happy hour as well as a late one.
Was so happy to get a table here last night after driving in from Nanaimo. Ate the dungeness crab and was in heaven. Also, the best caesar salad I've ever had besides the one I make at home. Our server took excellent care of us

Outstanding food, everything was mouthwatering. The hot lobster dip was the best dip I’ve ever eaten. Wonderful location right on the waterfront with great views. Ambience very comfortable and interesting. Service from all staff fantastic, especially our server Peyton. What an excellent server. 5 stars isn’t enough! Definitely my new Victoria favourite.
I ordered filet mignon for take out today, spent $100, and was very disappointed. Based on reviews I was expecting great steak, but it was dry as a shoe, worst stake I've ever eaten. Fries were grey-brownish and dry as well, like it was cooked yesterday or the day before. I don't like writing bad reviews, but for the price I paid I expected a decent meal, unfortunately it was the opposite :( Luckily, I was able to get a refund through DoorDash, which is appreciated.
Excellent meal with great service. My wife and I really enjoyed it
Making the rounds of restaurants in Victoria. Nautical Nellies was the best of our three dinners. I'm talking the whole kit and caboodle...excellent service (thank you Peyton)...from our libations (French 75 and spicy Caesar with a prawn) to the vittles. I highly recommended this place.
Really impressed with this place. Drinks were great, food was amazing, and service was top notch. Everything was served in a very timely manner and our server was execllent. I look forward to coming back here on my next visit to Victoria.
We go to this restaurant every time we visit Victoria. Food is always excellent and the staff is friendly. We recommend it to our family and friends when they visit too.
Had the most delicious meal from here!! Steak was a perfect medium rare, creamy mashed potatoes and the seafood was cooked to perfection not a touch over or under done. Extremely friendly service and take out was a breeze. Highly recommend !!
Great service, almost casual atmosphere, delicious food, and high prices. Worth a visit for their sockeye salmon and crab cakes. Seafood linguine was also good but not amazing. I was disappointed in their sangria only.
I do not understand how they get such a hight review. The food are overpriced. The clam chowder was too salty and the mussels they used are not fresh. We ordered surf and turf; one of the lobster they gave us was not fresh. Their so called "famous crab cake" was way to sweet. Very disappointing ☹️
Me and my girlfriend went here on a Saturday night. it has a very nice vibe and the waiter was excellent. We both ordered the Paella as it had the description of Prawns and scallops and chorizo. When the Dish came it had Clams Mussels and Some sort of White mild fish (as well as the previously mentioned seafood). This was a bit of a shocker considering the menu description did not have those things. I was a bit hesitant as I have a reaction to some types of seafood. I do not usually eat mussels or Clams as they can cause this. I ate around them but unfortunately found myself sick about 30 minutes later. I did not want to make a big fuss as I was feeling quite ill. so we decided to just leave and pay the bill. Unfortunate since if I knew what exactly was on the menu I could have asked without it or ordered something different. The food was quite tasty as well which is the sad thing.
Absolutely fabulous! Food and service were both amazing.

Went for a quick meal during happy hour, great food, had the crab dip and steamed mussels with a white wine garlic sauce. Dip was nice and creamy, not watery, it was more of an artichoke and spinach dip though. The only unfortunate part was the toasted garlic bread with the mussels, the bread was saturated in oil, not good for dipping in the broth. They would do better serving a warm baguette instead. Good quick service, nice atmosphere, and can't beat happy hour prices.
Meal type
Relaxed and casual environment with friendly staff. We usually go for happy hour between 2-5pm if I'm not mistaken. They have revamped their happy hour food menu with a large selection of food items, which includes the asian inspired beef carpaccio with scallion fried pancakes and, fried onion. Wings and truffle fries are a must try ( happy hour) if you do go for. Happy hour drinks have lots of variety also. I ordered their seasonal snow crab legs with melted butter for dipping and fresh lobster ravioli (pasta tasted fresh, I believe they made it in house) with a side of Asparagus. Everything was delicious. Portion sizes are big so be ready to leave super full, and with a doggy bag to take home. Their seasonal Okanagan rose cider is a must try.
Nautical Nellies is a fantastic place to visit. Everytime I go, I enjoy myself and I remember the early dates I had there with my wife before we were married. My parents love it, her parents visit it every time they are in Victoria... it's a sure win. Highly recommended!
Lunch
I love the kitchen here. Dishes are uniquely created, super delicious, and wonderful to look at. Great location on the harbour, it's got my loyalty.
Service was a bit slow despite us being the only group there. We went during lunch and found the interior extremely dark, maybe it's better for dinner? The poke bowl was beautiful but prices were high.
Wanted to take my GF here on sept 27th! We took took a trip from maple ridge to Victoria very much looking forward to eating here for our 2 year anniversary only to find a late post on their Instagram saying they are “closed for carpet cleaning” lol what a joke, when nobody lives in your dying city and tourists are looking for eats (unfortunately we also didn’t realize it’s harder than ever to find anything open past 5-6 in Victoria) you need to be open.
Service
We went for dinner because we read that it was a popular restaurant frequented by locals and tourists alike but we were disappointed with the food, prices and overall experience. The food in my opinion is overpriced and the "size" of the actual meal I don't feel was worth the amount paid. Ordered halibut for dinner and I was lucky if I got 5 bites from it. My plates was mostly decorated with coleslaw and fries. I would not recommend this restaurant which is sad because it is in a perfect location and the restaurant is beautiful. I would give it 5 stars but they will all go to our server :) she did great
I love coming here. The quality and portions of the food are excellent. Delicious every time.
Delicious food and amazing presentation. Exceptional service.
We had steak and lobster and it was cooked perfect. Service was first rate. Will certainly be back. Highly recommend.
Damn good seafood. Bring your wallet (and vaccine passport)
Service was extremely slow. When the service did arrive, it was with an attitude. We had an outside table and the brunette waitress served horribly. Bad attitude, dropping the plates on our table, missing requested pepper and breads and not offering a patient ear to our request. Our son had chest pains from the last meal so we worried about an allergy. We asked about the ingredients to find out if something contributed to it. All she said was have a great night and walked away abruptly. Horrible consideration. Food was ok but the service ruined the evening. Never going back!
Meal type
Person beside us got seafood on there plate after explaining they were allergic why they came to a seafood place is beside me. But there whole table was rude to us when we looked over. The manager gave the whole table no charge. I told management it was frustrating that we come out for a nice dinner out and it was not relaxing because of everything that happened.
Great location. The seafood ravioli was exploding with flavour. Definitely recommend for all. Beware portion is small but flavour packed.
Fantastic service and brilliantly flavoured food. Excellent communication between us and the server and what was going on in the kitchen when some of our food was taking a little longer. The chefs did not want to serve a meal that didn't fit their expectation and we were told that they were going to recreate it for the best product they can serve and we deeply appreciated that level of communication. It made waiting for the food that much more worth it and when we finally enjoyed it we knew that it was made from people who care. Also it wasn't a huge wait! The staff should be proud! The prices were in a great range between classy and affordable. We left wishing we could come back.
I love their seafood chowder and rib eye~ Also the seafood platter was very fresh, especially the oyster. Nice service, nice atmosphere. I went to this one many times, coz their food quality is very stable, hard to be disappointed!
Nice place to eat superb seafood. Delicious food. Very good service and price.
What a lovely dining experience our server Steph was attentive and friendly. I had the lobster dip which was to die for. Along with the lobster gnocchi which was a decent portion.
Their steak was very good. Also side dishes along with lobster and dungeness crab were delicious as well as mains.
As always. Fabulous staff and incredibly yummy food! A lovely evening all the way around!
Service was good. Ambiance was very dark. Food was average. Perhaps off day but the seafood was extremely fishy, especially the mussels. Was not fresh at all. The server was very quick to offer a substitute though. Drinks wasn't half bad, just the seafood on the day we went was sub-par.
Ordered the Seafood Lunch Combo and my partner had the Seafood Chowder. Lunch Combo consisted of a Crab Roll on Brioche, which was tasty and classically presented, a Lobster Bisque, that although lukewarm, was hearty and flavourful. Too wet, standard coleslaw and thin, slightly mushy fries rounded out the dish, with the seafood seeming thought of, while the other half was an afterthought. The Seafood Chowder was excellent in proportion and amount of salmon, shrimp, a couple of mussels for garnish, but strangely missing from the menu description was the "Thai feel" of the chowder, especially the subtle, but present curry flavor. Martini was fairly room temperature, but tasty. $60 bill would've been more worth it if more than 50% of the Seafood Combo had been as quality as the other half, and although the bisque was redeeming, could've used a little longer in the pot.
I liked the food and service.
Dinner
Amazing seafood, had one of the best meals of my life here, 10/10 would absolutely recommend. You get what you pay for!
The food was delicious and staff was friendly. She came back about 5 times to refill my water. The food was really good and surprisingly cheaper than expected. All of these food only came to about $150. It was more than enough food for two people. One thing they can probably improve is not putting the same type of seafood in all of their dishes. Even if it's fish, maybe putting in different types of fish is an option. Both of the hot pot and the pasta has the same seafood making it kind of bland overall. But everything else was good and enjoyable!
Loved the crab cakes the most!! Oysters were super fresh. Creme brulee was like cooked egg! Wish I could have given 5 stars but that dessert was maybe microwaved too long or something! Great service except she should have noticed the scrambled egg dessert I was served it was very obvious I wouldn't eat it!

Dinner
Awesome service and delicious food, especially the lobster bisque (make sure to add the fresh bread!) and lobster mashed potatoes. Unfortunately the gnocchi wasn't my favourite. They also make great drinks!
Find somewhere else to eat. Terrible service , portions were undersized, steak was overcooked, lobster undercooked! We tried to convey our disappointment with our meal however the FB Manager was less than understanding
Ginger beef was amazing - unique to me, sirloin tips in ginger gravy with long beans. And plentiful, as was the crab legs. Out of my usual price range but worth it. Service was excellent.
We started off with dirty cutlery. Two of us had steak, one with seafood. Thankfully the steak was good. The asparagus on my plate was frail, they looked like thin grass rather then asparagus. The potatoes was over done and dry with no flavor. The service was average.
Extremely disappointed. High end prices, low end quality food. We came here for a nice seafood experience as that’s what this place is supposedly known for but this place does not know how to cook “seafood”. Absolutely everything we had would have been better at a place like red lobster and way cheaper including the overpriced alcoholic beverages. Our server was great and that was the highlight. The table of strangers next to us was also very disappointed when we asked them how their food was as we were deciding on what to order. Save your hard earned money and go anywhere but here.

There is a reason why this restaurant drop from Vic top 10 to Top 45 in 5 years, and I don't have good experience here last year. This summer when I came again, I found they've changed a lot -- which is not easy in such hard time, but still room for improvement. You can find clam chowder in summer menu 2021, it looks like a kinda return of well-known seafood chowder (which is super delicious but cancelled for years), but you never have the same taste as before. Oyster plate only provide 2 kinds of oyster now, which is more before, but still fresh & tasty. Butter sauce is great, caramelized potato brings crunch and sweet taste to your mouth, while NY steak & prawn is not so attractive. Waiter's service is good.
This place has always been consistent and delicious. After going to the Keg and basically being told they have no seafood (it’s in the name). We went to tk Nautical Nellies. They fit us right in, and I guess had all the seafood the Keg didn’t have. Absolutely delicious, great service although a bit pricey. Definitely skip the Keg downtown,
Outstanding bites - top notch chef - quality over quantity! The volcanic sushi is one to experience!
Service
So we went 2 weeks ago for a family Sunday lunch... The service and food was great! So much so that we decided to spend my 40th bday dinner there.... I have small children and the happy hour menu was perfect for them... We could get there at 430 be gone by 6, and kids nice in bed before tear time..... But the young pretentious male blond haired approx 25 year old manager thought "kids aren't cool" made us wait outside the empty restaurant until a "kid friendly server section was available" (5pm) ever make kids wait for a special meal!?!! Fu manager! .... Before today I would have said for delicious overpriced seafood go to this restaurant... Now I say boycott them until they understand the only people going out in a pandemic deserve a f"n table!!!!!!!
Absolutely delicious steaks. I ordered medium rare, so it's not overcooked when it arrives at my home. Juicy, tender. The bigger cuts are pricey, but the best tasting. Sometimes, smaller cuts are not available online, but the bigger pricier cuts are worth it for an occasional treat.

Got the seafood platter. Oysters were not fresh but frozen. Tuna was farmed and died. Probably frozen and then thawed shrimp that werent even peeled correctly. Truffle fries made in dirty fryer oil. Had all of that coming back up before 10pm. Spent the night hugging the toilet. ????
Went here for dinner, and genuinely wished I had gone somewhere else. Tried their shrimp cocktail, which cost too much per piece of shrimp that was essentially tasteless. The portions was small in comparison to the price, which would have been okay if the food tasted good. Our waiter seemed like she was in a bad mood, which made the experience even more unpleasant. If you have several options for dinner, I would skip this place.
Amazing dinner with my son. Superior service. A1 food, wonderful vibe, great recommendations of wine pairing. Excellent experience!!! Thank Chef & our server was experienced & knowledgeable with a great caring nature. Fun!

I ordered the 6 oz Prime aged new york strip loin. It was really good.
I came when they opened for their “10 Buck Lunch”. Their lobster and shrimp quesadilla was unbelievably delicious, my god. The service was very friendly and the items on the cheap menu seem great, though I can’t speak for items on the main menu. If you’re looking for a cheap bite for lunch, come here before noon!
Service
Given the location of Nelly's in the Inner Harbor, Victoria, you would think it might be a tourist trap. We wandered around trying to find someplace other than a gastropub for mid-afternoon nosh. We found Nelly's and decided to pop in and we're seated in a lovely window seat. The service was wonderful and our food server was very attentive and helpful. Everything was delectable. We had the muscles in a mild green curry coconut sauce that were sweet and moist and delicious. The best we ever had and that's coming from someone who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. We also had the salt and pepper fried chicken wings which were also the best we've ever had. So good we got a second order. They're very crunchy and flavorful but not at all greasy. And again the meat is moist and plentiful. We also had a mixed green salad which had a very nice light vinaigrette style dressing on it. I enjoyed a couple glasses of the house white wine. I highly recommend Nellie's for anyone visiting Victoria. It's totally walkable from the Inner Harbor and a great place to spend a rainy afternoon. This would be a great place to bring the family, enjoy lunch with friends, or a special date.
This seafood was top notch We enjoyed the lobster dip and two servings of the seafood hotpot....undeniably delicious to the last bite. Our server Brian was very polite funny and courteous Id recommend him to anyone. Quick service and food. Great atmosphere .

Mojitos'Sunshine''great happy helpful staff and managers. Good place to stop downtown. Beautiful.
Great place for a nice dinner and drinks. Had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. One of the top restaurants in Victoria for sure and right by the ocean front. Perfect for a great walk after the delicious dinner. Our server was attentive and professional and was available when needed.
Great place to be during Happy Hour. Very fresh oysters.
Its a very nice restaurant in the corner near the river front. The food is great and well placed. The place was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is also outside patio sitting. Its also very stylish with art and figures place neatly all over the restaurant. All in all nice place to eat.
Such a fantastic dinner with a great group of friends. This restaurant came highly recommended and it came through. Everything from the decor and atmosphere to the amazing food and service was top-notch. Can't wait to go back again.
Got best table, great service. Server knew good vegan options.
Service
This is a gem of a restaurant in Victoria. Seems popular with locals and tourists alike. We didn't have a booking but they were very accommodating and we still got a great spot. The food was to die for and the service was fantastic. Great drinks menu as well. One of the best long island ice teas I've had!
The seafood chowder is good, the service is good. The oyster is just bad, it is the worst oyster I have ever eaten.. Waited for 45mins for the mains and they are not delicious. The lobster is not fresh and overlooked.
One of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a LONG time. Shanon was our server and couldn’t of asked for a more personable experiential. Not only was she exceptional, but the food was as well. We were hosting my parents for an evening and could not have had a better time. Will highly recommend to those visiting as well as locals going forward.
We ate here twice in a row during our trip to Victoria. This place is quite pricey, I believe partly due to the location. Everything we ordered was good and we mostly ordered seafood dishes. The salalds were good as well. Desserts were average, nothing special. We sat inside both times and it was pleasant and quiet with nice ambience. Service was okay, nothing memorable. Although we didn't get to enjoy the views or try the patio, we had a good experience overall.

Great location. Stephanie my waitress was helpful in choosing menu items. Well timed service allowed me to enjoy my meal. Delmonico Ribeye cooked perfectly. Crab cakes were quite nice with a jalapeño chutney and three were quite filling.
I have been coming to Nautical Nellies from time to time for the past 15+ years. I’ve always been happy with their friendly service. They recently launched their new summer menu with a new kitchen team and I have to say I was impressed. I also love that they hired a sushi chef from Japan. Their portions are generous, dishes are well seasoned and presented. I also appreciate the variety of dishes they have on their menu so there is something for everyone. I think one important thing to remember as customers is how hard the people in the restaurant and hospitality industry work. They have been hit hard during the pandemic and it has been stressful for everyone. As restaurants, pubs and cafes start opening up remember to be kind as there is a huge labor shortage in the restaurant industry.
awsom place for friends to hang out. Fantastic food, served really quickly as well. the fish taco is actually really impressive, oysters are just fine. great atmosphere and serves. reasonable price. unfortunately there was a hair in my food, but the manager treated it with decency and refused the awkwardness. definitely recommended

Great ambiance great food great service You only need to come ready to enjoy
NN is one of the top restaurants in Victoria for a reason. I don't like seafood but even I have a great time when I go there. The food & drink menu's are extensive and diverse. They have a great happy hour, the bar knows their stuff and the service staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Excellent service and food! Very nice view overlooking the Inner Harbour!
Best spread I've had at a restaurant since the 4years I've been in beautiful BC island. Oysters were small but that's the season, so fukn tasty!! Highly recommended. Oh, and the service is great!!
The food, yes…. Delicious. The team? Customer Service at it’s best!!! Ordered take out after an exhausting day. Just wanted food haha. Ordered dessert for the bday boy, and this is how it arrived!! Made our night :) Two points for the Monkey :)
Delicious food, quick and friendly service. We enjoyed our dinner. We loved your seafood
Service was great. Nice atmosphere. However, in my opinion the food prices do not match the quality. The food was good, just felt slightly over priced.
I like it, our server Kal he was an amazing server! Good wines list, I had a salmon and a rib eye, was delicious
Had the rock fish, fish and chips for lunch. It was decent, nothing special but but tasty enough. Service was good in the bathroom was spotless.
Foods plain.. No taste.. $30 halibut plate is tasteless... No flavour.. No seasoning... . Side pasta is dry clumpy.. Chewy... Wont order again..... A shame think it being right on the shoreline would be great seafood restaurant... What a shame....
Could not believe how good Nautical Nellie's is! I've lived in Victoria for 20 years and finally experienced NN and I can't believe I waited that long. If you like seafood, if you like steak, if you like AMAZING food, this is the place.
The food was ok. But it was pricey and I felt that the steak at Earls was better than here. The lobster was ok. I just felt that for the price, we had better food elsewhere for cheaper.
We were in Victoria and needed a place to have dinner. This place did not disappoint! Despite being busy, we had amazing service. To start we had the 6 oysters. The lime/ginger mignonette was the perfect condiment to the briny oysters. For dinner I had the ribeye with prawns and scallops. The steak was cooked perfectly and I had it with their bourbon bbQ sauce, perfection! My husband had the steak with crab cake and potatoes. It was equally as delicious. I don’t eat potatoes and I was able to choose another veggie side. You have to do the lobster Mac and cheese. There were huge chunks of lobster and the pasta was cooked nicely. This place is definitely worth it!
My wife and I went for the first time this evening. We started off with the crab cakes which were amazing. My wife went for the Dungeness crab dinner which was done perfectly. I ordered the steak burger with bacon and mushrooms. The burger was over cooked and the bun was either stale or left in the toaster to long. Either way it was tough like expired bread. I would not recommend the burgers. The rest of the dinner was amazing.
Oh wow, the cuisine is simply amazing! The staff is so courteous, and ambience is relaxing. Was full half hour ago, can’t stop nibbling. Can’t recommend this place enough! Definitely coming back!
Always have a great meal here, food is always cooked perfectly. Came here for a staff dinner and my coworkers have never been here before and they all enjoyed their meals.
Incredible food, drinks and service! High quality meals. Visited twice this week it was so great. Highly recommend. Also have great value on the happy hour menu.
The food was lovely, except for the lobster tail which was translucent raw and the shiraz sauce did not work well with the crab cake, which was unfortunately drenched in it. They did replace the tail. The service was friendly, not as quick and attentive for the level of this menu. Like, no salt was offered for our steaks, at all. And the steak required salt so we had ho scrape some off the table from our tequila shots. The decor is horrendous in by the booths. Not elegant or expensive, like the menu. It's actually a little embarrassing because sitting in the booths we felt like we were at a Chili's, Applebees, Montanas. Nothing wrong with those spots, but for a 5 -star menu, you want 5-star ambience. You won't get that unless you're at a window table. Lights are too bright at booths too, so forget your romantic mood. I'll probably try other spot before going back there.
Four of us went for lunch there today and were really disappointed ☹️ My husband was looking forward to the beef dip that the gentlemen from CHEK news were raving about. The beef was more like a pulled beef sandwich. Not slices of roast beef. The au jus was the same as anywhere else. When you pay a premium dollar you expect better. Which brings me to my order. I ordered a fairly expensive lobster and crab salad. There was a small lobster claw on the top and a few little clumps of mushy crab meat. When I pay that much I expect some actual lobster and crab with it. It was piled high with arugula mostly. You guys can do better????
Terrible experience waiters hair was in the food.Stains on chair hidden in low lighting. We paid bill and left awful never eating again.
Looked for a good seafood restaurant to have fish and chips. It was embarrassing to see what they served my guests. The pieces of fish were so tiny the waiter was embarrassed and asked the kitchen for another piece. Everyone's portion of fish was very small. For the exorbitant price we will never go back and I will not take company there. The waiter was fantastic.

Fantastic restaurant! The lobster was delicious and I got a steak with bourbon cream sauce which was new to me but 5 star would try again quality. Thanks for the delicious meal!
Had a celebratory dinner here about a month ago. It actually wasn't the restaurant we were planning on attending, but last minute change, we ended up at Nellies. Service was friendly & attentive. I ordered the gnocchi and it was probably the best gnocchi I've ever tasted. I am still thinking about it a month later hahaha. The other dishes were on point as well. This was the 2nd time dining here and I'm thoroughly impressed. Can't wait to go back.
Food was good fish and chips was good. The portions are huge! Service was A1 the calamari was bomb.com
I was going to have a good steak that night, so we’ve chosen this place with my family. Looking at price level prior to coming I was expecting really good meal quality. But I was a bit disappointed with the over salted steak. My wife ordered oysters and they were really small. Overall, the food was okay but not great. The waiter’s service was great, no complaints whatsoever.
Expect Seafood perfectly prepared and nicely presented. It's a busy restaurant and one cannot reserve for more than six guests but if you get in, it's a delight!
Cost a small fortune (that's more my fault considering what we ordered) but, worth every penny.

The service was fantastic! Tasty and on point! The carpaccio is recommended, well..every menu item seems fantastic. Enjoy!! :)
My partner and I had an enjoyable evening, but on the menu one of the main seafood dishes offered on the 25 year anniversary menu was mussels (which is one of my favorite dishes). When I asked for it I was advised that it was not available but no other option was offered, little shocked that this is how it was handled and that 2 weeks into a one month promotion they ran out of mussels.
We love the food at nellies, but we came for my birthday and our waitress seemed like she wanted to do anything but serve us. Anytime she came to our table she rushed past dropping things off and not wanting to stop to ask if we needed anything. We know the cost of getting the seafood at nellies but you would also think that with that price you can expect good service. When one in our party asked to pay a portion of the bill, he was rudely told “we don’t give cash back” as the waitress smiled and shook her head. We have always loved nellies but this made us feel more than unwelcome, and I’m not one to leave a review but I was very disappointed and this was going to be one of the highlights of our trip home.
Were greeted at the door, and then someone said - oh let me take you to the table, they start walking us to a nice table by the window. Then someone says 'oh wait waiter will drop some waters on the table so you cant sit down just yet' - strange -why cant you drop the waters while we are sitting down, but ok we wait. Then all of a sudden they say - ok no we will be going this way, and they turn us around from the nice and set up table, in the 'front' room and take us to the 'back' room without the view. She says - this will be your table. There are no waters on it, so obviously we weren't waiting for waters, and they instead sat a different party at the nice table immediately. Extremely strange and spoilt our mood immediately. The table they sat us at was not cleaned properly. The floor under the table was FILTHY. I mean, crab legs, pieces of veggies etc. I dropped my wallet, and honestly i was grossed out to pick it up. It was my mom's birthday, and i did not want to make a scene etc, had i been with just my husband - i would have walked out immediately. Instead, i proceeded with leaving $400 there for the dinner, but i am extremely disappointed.
good food will go there again
The scallops were so delicious. Quiet place to bring family, nice view, good food.
Always brilliant food, drink and service. Have always been a big fan, really enjoyed the 25th anniversary menu offered. One of my favourite restaurants in Victoria. The staff is always friendly! Top notch, highly recommend!!
Ordered the seafood platter$$$ scallops and prawns were undercooked, prawn was still gray...king crab overcooked, and rubbery, crapcakes super salty and tasted freezer burnt. Half of the dugeoness crab legs we could not even take the meat out of it was so dry. Brussell sprout were delicious
I live just a little bit up island so I frequently come to Nauticals. Great food, great staff in my well seasoned opinion. I would suggest making the time to come on out to this restaurant
Hands down the best seafood restaurant in Victoria, everything was great, loved the food and service. Will definitely come back.

This place is famous in Victoria and for good reason. They do steak and seafood very well. Not only that but so many other dishes and items that complete the dining experience. Yes, people will say the price is a bit high but not for what you are getting. They always seem to have a nightly special. Our server was very knowledgeable and pleasant. There is great daily Happy Hour specials so take advantage. Our scallops were cooked perfectly and the dishes has so much flavor I couldn't stop eating them! Reservations are recommended on the weekend as it gets busy.
The appetizer Crispy Calamari is absolutely delicious. I also had seafood pasta (in the photo ). Well nothing is left on my plate.
So…. We are all mature adults wanting a drink and a bite to eat. We are a party of 10 that are more than happy to split up. We understand the requirements for dinning in and ALL triple vaxed. Your policy is to not seat parties greater than 6 because of past issues. Come on!!! Give us a little more credit.
Service
Probably the best and most diverse happy hour in town! Got the oysters, Mac and cheese and calamari. The Mac and cheese and calamari were both really good! Their happy hour drink selection is also phenomenal, we ended up getting a few 0 proof drinks which were refreshing- nice to see those options on a happy hour menu! Will definitely be back ????
Went for lunch today with my mom and had a fantastic meal! The food was top notch. And the service was super friendly and fast. The portions were very good (as you can see from the photo) and the taste of the food was so delicious we finished every last bite on our plates! I had the 2-piece halibut and chips but substituted 1/2 salad and 1/2 fries. The fish was lightly battered and perfectly fried so it was crispy yet tender and flaky. My mom had the seafood chowder and it was chock full of salmon and seafood, even a couple of large mussels on top. And the bread included with her meal was a nice warm and crusty loaf that was a nice accompaniment to her chowder. (By the way the chowder was one of several quick lunch menu items for $10) I highly recommend Nautical Nellies to anyone looking for a great meal, especially if you want delicious fresh seafood!
We ordered Seafood Tagilatelle, Filet Mignon & Baked Atlantic Lobster Tail and Flourless Chocolate Espresso Torte. They are yummy and fresh. Especially the lobster tail dip with garlic butter.

Lobster tails, steak and paella from heaven. After 3 days in Victoria, I finally ate oester that are meaty and delicious. The main meal which is a filet mignon, lobster tails, potatoes amd bockshoi was delicious. Every bite was perfect. I highly recommend nautical Nellie's.
Had a great dinner, steak and prawns were perfect and the big surprise was an excellent house made key lime pie for dessert. Those pies are hard to get right, but they sure did. Will be back again for sure!
One of the best sea food restaurant in Victoria. Service was excellent.
Well beyond expectation! They truly create fabulous seafood dishes here. Nice wine list and great service too! Our server was Andrew. Highly recommend.
The food is tasty and well served. My stake was a little bit burnt but good. The service was outstanding and the ambient is great. The chimichurri wasn't good because it is not the original recipe. Overall I would recommend the restaurant.
We ate here the first night of our recent vacation. Despite being a party of 8, Sheila did an amazing job getting us everything we needed. Great food, great service. Would eat here again.
Going to Victoria on vacation, our wish was a good seafood restaurant. And we found one! We had the seafood platter and oysters as a starter. It was delicious and their staff is excellent, very good advice. If you love seafood, this is the place to go!!

The Lobster dip was outrageously great. Steak dinner was flawless. Service was great. Well worth the price
