Their butter chicken is the single best I have ever had and their vindaloo and veggie pakora are to die for. It's authentic to the core and the owners and staff areally lovely and inviting. Tonight was a curry pot fail. We waited 1 1/2 hours for our food. No apology, no discount, no we'll pay for your chai or your naan and no communication. A quick" Hey, we are slammed tonight your order may take a bit longer then usual.!" Or "I'm so sorry we miss placed your order, but we are working on getting it out to you asap!" would have gone a long way. 3 stars only because the food was fresh and tasty once we got it, but I'm not sure I will go there again. Sad face....maybe the owner man should be a bit more humble and kind...

I have to say, the service is not that great here. BUT, the food is incredible. It is the best Indian food in Vernon, very authentic and delicious. The portions are large, almost shareable. If you get over the poor service, it is a great place to come to eat!

The service we had was absolutely terrible. The server didn't check in with our table at all. She took or order brought us our food and then dropped the bill off at our table. My friend had wanted to order more wine but wasn't given the opportunity. She didn't even say anything when she dropped it in the table. The food was mediocre at best. Mine was made too spicy so I wanted to order raita but didn't get the chance with the lack of service. My dahl arrived looking exactly like the butter chicken my friends had ordered. On the menu it listed it as a vegan dish however it came with cream on top. Luckily I am not vegan. The butter chicken according to my friends was oddly sweet. Over all it was an unpleasant dining experience and none of us plan on going back.

Oh my goodness where to start! The food was exceptionally great. The server who I assume was an owner was very kind explained every question our friend had. The service was quick and curdious despite the very nice women who was probably 7-9 months pregnant and still kept ontop of our drinks and food. I would highly recommend this The Curry Pot.

Great food, staff is knowledgeable about allergies, and the portions are huge (on that note, if there's just two of you, you could likely get one dish and one thing of rice for the two of you.) However there isn't enough staff. Saturday night was packed, and there was only two people serving. The table next to us had to get up and chase after a server to get an order of rice. In terms of allergies, it'd be nice to see the menu label out the plates that don't contain certain ingredients. Over all, would highly recommend, will definitely be back. Just maybe not during the busy times.

The food that we had here doesn’t give a good impression about Indian food. The flavours were off balanced and everything that we ordered tasted bad and had similar base sauce. Momo’s came with butter chicken sauce which was odd given the place has a Nepalese influence. Tandoori prawns was even more shocking. Never seen tandoori prawns served on a sizzler plate that too prepared in a weird tasting sauce. The only thing that I liked here were the Naan breads.

Stopped in here on Friday night on our way through town. Was not overly busy so our food came pretty quickly. The chicken aloo, which was hot and delicious, was by far the best dish we had. The other 2 dishes - aloo gobi and lamb curry were not hot - most likely microwaved. Now I don’t mind if dishes are made earlier in the day to be served later, but please heat them thoroughly before serving. Close - but could have been better

The Curry Pot was OK. They get a plus for offering delivery, but they loose points for getting our address wrong (twice). The food was good, if a bit a bland, but wasn't worth the high price we paid. The naan bread was the exceptional standout - we tried garlic naan and aloo naan and loved them both. I think you could do better home making or trying another place, but at the same time, what's on offer here isn't bad. It's just... OK.

The food was delicious but the service is slow we did go in right at opening for dinner time though. My main complaint was after a very good meal I went to wash my hands in the washroom, a younger gentleman who was working in the kitchen entered the washroom before me, I saw him enter and exit, I heard the toilet flush, when I entered I saw the the sink was BONE DRY he had by what I saw not washed his hands. definitely will never go back based on that. I will also mention this was the second chance I had given them, my first time to the curry pot with some friends we had waited for 40 min after being seated received no further service so we left.

First time dining at this establishment. I can understand why they have won so many awards when you walk through the front door. The aromatics hit you like a slap in the face. Everything is made fresh and the naan is prepared perfectly. The ambience was subtle and quaint. The wait staff was very welcoming and pleasant. We just moved to Coldstream and this restaurant will definitely be on our rotation of our favorite places to dine.

Friendly service but the food was really disappointing. Butter chicken was oddly very sweet with the chicken lacking flavour (it's supposed to be flame grilled but I don't think it was). The bharta (egg plant) was more palatable but again lacked the smoky flavor profile normally associated with this dish. The portions are large and very generous so that's a plus but we were left wanting wanting more in terms of flavours.

What a wonderful way to end our Vernon vacation. Our meal was 100% delicious, affordable and GLUTEN FREE!!! Everthing was tasty and fresh and we asked for medium heat and it was exactly that. The servers were gracious and the evening was thoroughly enjoyable. Downtown Vernon, you have a gem there. We look forward to our next visit to Vernon and to The Curry Pot!!

If you place an order for pick up, be prepared to wait an extra 30 minutes at least, on top of the wait time they give you. The reason - "oh it was ready but needed to be packed". Save the excuses, be professional and take responsibility rather than make it the customers fault.

I'm not sure how this place has so many good reviews, I have to say it was a very bad experience when I ordered. The woman could not seem to get our order right on the phone, when we went in 40 minutes later she handed me the bill and it was completely wrong. I asked her to alter it and she walked away, another woman came back 5 minutes later and finally changed my bill, walked away right after. I then waited another 10 minutes for my order and they finally brought it to me.Very bad service. The restaurant had one table going and it somehow took them an hour to make a quick takeout order. The butter chicken tasted like tomato soup and was not worth the money. I do not recommend this at all, save your time and money. Or just make sure to check your bill.

Exceptional Indian and Nepalese cuisine, I have never had better anywhere else. The butter chicken is outstanding, the lamb lababdhar is my current favourite(super rich onion sauce, similar to butter chicken in its sweet savoury balance). Don't forget to get some raita with your food to cool off the spice and add another element to the experience. Curry Pot is the best ever.

I ordered Lamb Tikka and the coconut milk rice. Neither of them met my expectations. The lamb meat was so tough that it hurt my tooth chewing it. I had a hard time to even cut some of them. Lamb meat is precious and needs to be marinated properly as it can deliver the most tender meat. The coconut rice did not taste at all like what I make or have eaten in other places. I make Jamaican jerk chicken with the rice cooked in coconut milk and this was nothing comparable.

Disappointing! The food was plain boring and expensive, for what is was. Dry rice with a can of tomato soup and some chicken,the bottom was straight water. Not coming back!

This place is not cheap but is definitely rich authentic flavorful and worth the $$$. This is the best Indian food in the Ok Valley. I have only had dinner here they offer a lunch buffet I will be trying soon.

Love this Indian restaurant they are so amazing I go all the time for Dahl and roti and it's always delicious! The family that own it are so kind even when I moved away and my mother would come to order take out they would always ask her about how I was doing and now that I'm back home in Vernon I enjoy walking in every time I order something! Simple and casual restaurant. Sevice was decent. Buffet was closed due to Covid-19 precautions bit the regular servings were plentiful for my family. Food was delicious, I really enjoyed the fresh baked naan.

Best Indian/Fusion in Vernon right now - easily. When my family comes to town we always do the Curry Pot. I always do Take Out though so can't comment on interior. I'd suggest the Mattar Paneer :)

This is a great place. Is very clean and staffs are friendly. The food is amazing in perfect portion. This is only place only as they say as 9pm. All other places close early without changing the schedule on website. Overall, I would rank 4.5/5 stars. This is a must go eat place.
