Loved it. Casual nice restaurant with outdoor space. Yummy food, friendly service and rich menu.

Pedram Zabeti

Had breakfast here, the food was OK but terribly uninspired. The waiting staff was nice, but felt rushed most of the time. It was a busy morning, granted, but I guess I learned to expect better service in Vancouver.

Maha Benabboud

Worst front of house staff ever. Talk about a first impression. I would have walked out if it wasn’t for my group wanting to eat here. Although the hostess was incompetent, our waiter was attentive and poured water regularly. The food was mediocre for the price you are paying. I got the seafood crêpe.

Eseohe “Ese” Ojo

The menu looked amazing but the food was not impressive. The service was so insanely slow even though it wasn't full... we were a group of 3, not overly demanding, I don't know why we sat with empty glasses and I poured my own wine most of the time ... the server when we did see her was delightful. I assume it's staffing problems as it seems to be a covid thing everywhere. The fish was overly charred in the seafood pasta which killed the taste of the entire dish. We had the escargot for an appetizer, and it was basically a bowl with a handful of them dumped in a load of butter and herbs. The flavour was pretty bland and I've never seen escargot just piled on a plate/bowl like that, usually they serve them in a special baking dish. Kind if a let down, even though the portions were huge, because I basically ate butter. They also made sure to charge for dipping bread ???? it doesn't come with the dish. Had to chase someone down to get our bill. For how expensive it is I probably won't go back there, which is sad because their menu is visually impressive. Maybe it was just an off day. Who knows.

Evangeline Baria

Excellent food, very fresh and full of flavour. The location is great too, especially when you are sitting in the sunshine. The portions are on the small side. I will definitely go back.

Vaheed Kiarash

Stopped in on Sunday for brunch. Delicious fresh food in a chic upscale atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Ben Seaman

Service is great but food portion is small. Place for lunch and dinner not for brunch. Amazing services ????

Paul Madeya

The food was really good. The dessert was not the best. But i really recommend this place.. best seafood in town

Naim Kermouni

One of my favourite restaurants in the city for brunch! In the summer, it is peaceful to sit in the patio and enjoy your meal. They have a good selection of seafood options complemented with very amicable service.

My favourite place to go to for brunch! The food is amazing and reasonably priced. The service is quick and the staff are very friendly and personable. Make sure to try one of their great mimosas and/or caesars!

Danielle Ligeti

Nice ambience, delicious food. Good location. Must love this restaurant!

Diven Yeung

Love the Jaz performance in this place, but for vegan customers it is not enough choice in the menu, it would be good to have some alternatives

Mariana Konsolos

We’ve waited 20 minutes for so to come and take our orders! And the food quality was not really good!

Andrea CC

Only serves set menu on Valentine’s Day. Food quality is ok and fresh. Sitting rooms are tiny. Some waiters & waitresses seem so lost don’t known what they were doing. Food & service not worth $99/person.

David Wills

Just the most delicious bouillabaisse you will ever eat. Our waiter was so attentive and fun.

M Siu

Nice place for lunch at waterfront!

Andrei Karpov

Express Brunch. Perfect before a scheduled event.

Elizabeth McQueen

Running eggs on my omlette but Turkey sausage was amazing.

Billy Pun

Lovely restaurant in a great location. Always love the food - the quality has always been consistently good. Kid friendly too!

Maya M

This is the place we go for hella good breakfast that doesn't have a 60 minute line up. Boom food and great service I love it.

Avery Delaney

Crab and Lobster Bamboo rice(Snap peas, tomato, fresh herbs, white wine butter sauce) was absolutely delicious! You should try it.

Barb Wild

I got oysters and then tuna, delicious. My son got lamb and my daughter got mushroom pasta, all excellent. Great atmosphere, excellent wine list (many many offered by the glass). In a beautiful neighborhood and easy access with the false creek ferry which stops virtually right in front. Would love to go back.

JeaNFrancoiS Irisch-Mercier

As we entered, the front staff was not very welcoming. He sat us close to the window and since it wasn't raining, they had assumed to open all the windows and it was quite chilly inside with wind blowing through the place. So, we got up and relocated ourselves to a table further away from the windows. That table just happened to be a table for 4, so since it wasn't very busy, we thought it wouldn't be a problem. Less than a minute, one of the servers marched up to us angrily and said, "are you 4 people?! You can't sit here!" Long story short, we were relocated to a table for 2 by the window while I sat there in a chill. When my brunch dish came, the eggs Benedict was completely soaked in Holledaise sauce like it was soup. So, I had to give it back and share my husband's food. I was so turned off at that point, I had lost my appetite. We asked if they could close the windows and management refused. With all this happening, not once did we have a supervisor approaching us to rectify the situation. It was blatantly obvious that they didn't care and it translated loudly in the service and the food. Never going back.

Adrian Simpson

This is the best place to eat in Yaletown in my opinion. The food is excellent and the 2 egg breakfast is an excellent deal. Their service is very quick so it is good for those who are in a rush at lunch.

Hans Potter

Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a fabulous meal with awesome Martinis and really well prepared and delicious food. The service was outstanding as well.

Went here for Dine Out Vancouver. The menu choices weren't extravagant and the desserts were pretty plain. I didn't feel like it was a great showcase of French Mediterranean food. However, the food was tasty and satisfying so I'm sure their regular menu would be good.

Ro S

Amazing heated patio with beautiful views of the seawall and marina. Food was wonderful and service was professional, efficient and friendly! Lots of variety on the menu and something for everyone.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and fantastic wine and spirit selection

Gray Evangelista

Love the service here, the staff here are friendly and accommodating. The food here is good I would say out of 8 out of 10. I come here every so often for the last 15 years and the food has never disappointed. It is one of my favourite brunch places to go to and the kitchen is always consistent with their quality of food. Would definitely recommend!

Jay Dilley

Perfect place for brunch!

Scott Fletcher

Great location on a warm Saturday evening. They found a table on the patio. The wine list is excellent and the tapas are flavourful and the meny full of variety! Very considerate service. I'll go back anytime ❤️

Sam Seto

Nice place but, WOW is it ever pricy!

Chris U

Classical waterfront upscale Cafe. Good food. Good service. Rather pricey. Very popular on the weekends.

Curtis Randall

Great looking plates, service was good. But we weren't all 100% happy with how our food tasted. Lobster bisque was quite thick and too assertive in flavor, not what we were expecting. The sauce on my fish tasted burnt, not sure if that was intended, and if so did not go well with the perfectly coooked steelhead. Disappointed would be the best way to describe my experience

Andrew

One of my favorite places in the city, great food, funny and personable staff! The great Dan makes a really delicious negroni. Heyley the wine sommelier always comes up with good recommendations on wine parings. All in just a great place to go.

Isaac Audet

Absolutely delicious and you sont even feel heavy after eating a full meal. Highly recommend it!!! Staff is extremely nice and friendly.

Robert Dith

Very nice staff, delicious Eggs Benedict and coffee. Beautiful Sunshine with a great view.????

Suman

Excellent food as always. Had a fairly light meal due to the heat and very much enjoyed it. It was my friends first time here and she thoroughly enjoyed herself.

Robin MacDonald

Went for brunch. Nice location and decent prices but the food was just okay. Not bad at all but hard to recommend with so many amazing brunch places in the city.

J J

I am very impressed with their dessert particularly the caramel, other than the excellent seafood.

Anastasia Safoneeva

The service was absolutely lovely, the food was sublime, the live music added to the ambiance, the wine was perfect... but the créme caramel... #ToDieFor Merçi beaucoup!

D Wedman

The location and the view are amazing , but unfortunately “Lisa” the tall lady who was the host behaved so rude and aggressive! Actually It wasn’t her first time for these kind of reactions but the last time was so frustrating!!! I hope the Owner who is a nice Gentleman finds a solution for her rude behaviors !

Kev T

Beautiful place, delicious food, great service

Vikram Mohan

Cass Lao Real Estate 勞麗嫦專業地產

The view is so beautiful so that alone is worth going, but the food was so delicious and there coffee is amazing too! Will definitely go again!

Jennifer Thompson

We were all disappointed with the food. Tasted like low quality food. The decor and the atmosphere is cute and the view is amazing!

Dorothy

We arrived at 130pm and left at 1038pm. Great place for a meeting between a Habs and Flames fan. Reminist about Flames winning cup in Montreal in 1989! Good food great drinks = Great time!

J C

Great food, great view. I'm all about the seafood crepes

Adrian S.

One of the best restaurant to enjoy fresh seafood

Calvin Canlas

Went here getting takeout for brunch last week. The restaurant had a bottle of hand sanitizer which has problem when you press on it, ended up getting it in my eyes. Instead of offering some water or tissue, waitress there said no one ever had problems and is simply my fault in a very rude tone. After we got the takeout, took it nearby to eat and realize no utensils was given. Food was mediocre. Would not recommend.

Phil Hachey

Fabous food and service. Will return.

Liliya Sukochyeva

One of my favorite breakfast places anywhere. Try the croquet misure eggs benidict

chris chan

Perfection all around! Food is just magnificent, always fresh and delicious, attention to detail on every plate shows the chef’s passion and skill. And then there is the wine selection…mmm…Service is outstanding, always! I’ve been visiting for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a couple of years now and always enjoyed it. Even during their busiest times, you are always treated respectfully, never forgotten nor rushed. I’ve brought my little nephews, clients, had many date nights with my husband, celebrated birthdays and brought clients for business lunches, never walked out disappointed. Love everything about this place and give 10 ⭐️ to the chef/owner and the whole crew! Thank you for keeping true and honoring both food and clients in the great manner. See you soon!

Taya Morris

Always great service and and amazing food....consistantly, year after year.

Good selection of wine and cool that they offer wine flights. i had bouillabaisse which was quite delicious. I also like their sensible European portion sizes (I hate wasting food / having to over eat). Waitress we had was very attentive.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTURANT! Ordered prawn and fish last night, prawn smelled like rotten and taste so bad and it was very chewy, Server never asked me if I like my food or not, once he gave me the bill and after I paid my bill I mentioned that to the server but he just said: Oh no!!! that's it, came back home with very bad stomach ache, and finally realized I got food poisen. I don't know if anyone there to checking there food quality or not but defiantly I`ll bring this to provincial health authority.

One if the best restaurants in Vancouver. The seafood is really fresh and tasty. Great selection of wine. Wait staff us wonderful and caring.

I will give six if it was possible. Make sure you go to Provence Restaurant. You will not be disappointed. We come here for food and stay for "Awesome staff".Ask for Dan and Ernesto.

One of the best french restaurant in town. Lovely restaurant with an amazing ambiance and service. Everything on the menu is succulent. We always have a great experience. Thank you "Provence" for the birthday cake it was a thoughtful and a delicious surprise. Can't wait to go back. Merci beaucoup et bonne continuation.

Evan Shao

This restaurant has some of the best dishes I’ve ever had in this city. They have really amazing fresh ingredients, and everything I’ve had here has been PERFECT! I absolutely love it here. Wonderful staff, atmosphere, wine selection and most of all food.

Jacqueline Mayne

Great atmosphere, absolutely LOVED the food and fantastic service! I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for romantic dinner over a great meal and a nice glass of wine ????. Definitely will be back for some more great experience.

fayyaz elahi

Enjoyed the visit with my family. Excellent service. food and ambiance. Thank you!

Hadrien Girod

Over priced for offering! Please be aware this restaurant is average food yet charges high end $$. You could get same quality/level at the Keg. Charging auto 18% gratuity ridiculous for what is served/offered. High price wine menu as owner is a connoisseur is great - maybe just serve appies with that!

Dr Robert Armitage

Terrible service, everyone seemed new to the hospitality industry. Our waiter in particular knew nothing about the wine menu which seemed strange in a restaurant of this supposed calibre. The food was fine but generally uninspiring with poor balance of flavors and textures in most dishes. Good cocktails.

Erin Leriger

Excellent good. Superb service. Lovely patio view of False Creek. Lovely evening.

Jay Morgen

Had brunch over the long weekend and given the occasion, the place was very busy. Food was delicious and our server was very friendly. Drinks were a bit expensive i.e. $13 for caesar (in tall slim glass) so if you can settle for water, coffee or tea, I would recommend that. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and look forward to visiting again.

Omer Khan

Enormous selection of wines. Fantastic and delicous food. Stellar service. Highly recommend!

Mahsa Salehi

Food was good and came out quickly but I was really disappointed with the service. Our waiter was not friendly, I asked her for the bill and as she dropped it off, I had my credit card out. She even looked at my card and then walked off again. We waited for 15 minutes, we eventually had to get someone else so we could finally pay. This was the pattern for our whole experience. Every other staff member was ok. What irked me the most is that the server went to the table next to us and paid them attention while we waited to pay for our bill. This was about ten minutes after I asked for the bill.

Marc Sarhaddi

I am so sorry but the quality of food has really gone downhill. They are skimping on dishes and overpricing food and drinks. I have been going to this place for 20 years. The last time I went , I could not believe how bad the food was. The drinks had very little alcohol and even the coffee was harsh and bitter. I gave it 2 stars instead of one because the server was very friendly. Otherwise, don't waste your money. I don't want to see this place close. Hope that this is a wake up call!

Dined at the restaurant during Valentine’s Day. The Valentine’s Day menu was a complete money grab. The food was overpriced and the quality was premade trash. Pizza was very soggy and the lamb chop was raw. Completely disgusted by this restaurant, even tho it’s Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you can rip people off like this.

yvette y tang

Yumm. First time for brunch here and it did not disappoint. Quality and quantity of food is par for price.

Andy Kainth

The wine bar maybe great but the restaurant no longer is. During a visit to recent visit to Provence Marinaside I was dismayed; that a restaurant I often recommended, had sacrificed ambiance by packing in so many tables that it was uncomfortable. When I posted an unfavorable review on their Facebook page they first blamed their decision on their popularity and then in subsequent comments warned that I was no longer welcome in their establishment. On August 14th when we visited, the restaurant wasn’t busy with patrons but there were more tables than space allowed. I ordered the Crab & Lobster Bamboo Rice - it was very salty, plus the lobster was rubbery [whether it had been previously frozen or just badly prepared, I’m not sure]. My partner ordered the Sea Bream & Scallops; he reported his dish was tasty. Our server was polite enough but before my partner had even started his aperitif the waiter served our entrees and when we declined dessert we weren’t even offered coffee. The whole experience was disagreeable. Admittedly we were 10 minutes late for our 6:30 reservation but to be rushed through a meal in less than 45 minutes seems extreme. My advice is to think twice before eating here. There are a multitude of other Mediterranean inspired restaurants that offer a more authentic experience, with a more varied menu, that will treat like a valued guest.

Carlos Fernandes

Though we didn't eat, I finally got a perfect Americano. You'd think I'd be able to get one of these at 6bucks but no. Had to come to Provence. Great location by the marina.

Mai Watson

Pricy restaurant with beautiful design and great food.

Daniel Wille

It's a wine bar so if you're looking for other libations this is not the place for you. Menu is tapas style but also have some entrees if you want something more substantial. Don't expect big portions though. Made for wine pairings. I've had more exciting food in other comparable restos in the area but fair enough for the price. The wine flights is a nice touch if you want a tasting. Service is attentive but not overbearing. Nice patio overlooking the marina. This is Yaletown so there's heavy foot traffic and limited parking. If you're a wine snob you'd like it here. I mean that in a good way lol.

Amazing dining experience with my peeps. Enjoyed the signature dish with prawns and zucchini pasta and brown rice. The ambiance, the decor, the service, everything was just great to have a wonderful lively time. Located right next to water with patio seating options.

My friend and I arrived at Provence for lunch on Feb. 24. Our waiter was not helpful or friendly and seemed to be avoiding us after we ordered drinks. When we got his attention, I asked for a menu because my phone blocked the website and I could not access the menu, he refused, then walked away. We waited a little longer, our drinks did not arrive within what seemed like a reasonable time period. It did not look like our waiter was interested in serving us so we left. I give this experience a zero rating.

Bob Kenward

Good location by the water with average quality food and service. More North American than French cuisine.

Osha Honey

Got us in very quickly when OEB had a 2hr wait. Food was fast, delicious, and great service.

Elsy Chow

Good food, decent service. Brunch choices are good. Had the ham and cheese omelet. A little watery. The roasted tomato needs a little char and to be a bit warmer. Potatoes are well seasoned and delicious.

Alex Makhanko

This is simple French and Italian food at its best. Everything is fresh and clean tasting, and price is very affordable. Every time we come here we are surprised at how good the food is. Get on their email list for monthly and seasonal specials.

Shahriar Pedram

Nice happy hour with perfect little dishes and a good selection of wines

S R

Food was exceptional, sat at the bar and the two running it were great. Only downside was the young snotty waiters and what looked to be the manager. They were the only downside to a great supper.

Shawn S

Great selection of seafood and other items on the menu! Food was delicious and our server was outstanding! Would go back!

Shannon Hanks

Have a really lovely dinner tonight for my husband birthday, everything is really good until the dessert. The lemon tart is one of the worst that I ever taste. It is so sour, and everything on the plate is useless to compensate the sourness taste . When we told the restaurant, they keep giving me excuse why it is so sour, no apology no nothing, it really leave a sour taste in your mouth

Tegan Williams

Nice location and views. Food is average. Our waitress was pretty good. Large wine list and some craft brews. Free WiFi.

R. B.

Brunch was v tasty. Lucky enough to get patio seating

Shane Todhunter

Always love this place.

Shea Riley

They messed up are order. Over promised an under delivered. The portions are small for what they charge but the food tasted good.

Ezz Ghanem

It's been many years since we last visited this restaurant. Glad to see that they are continuing to provide quality French style seafood. The location is also fantastic.

Thomas Salzgeber

Best oysters that I had!! ????

Devin Jones

Terrible. Provence has lost its lustre. The restaurant needs a major facelift and they cannot blame the pandemic - other places have figured it out. They don’t pour your wine, salt and pepper is in packets - tacky tacky!!! You can’t increase menu prices by extraordinary amounts and give fast food service. This will be my last time eating here. The bouillabaisse was bland flavourless and even after 2 salt packets had no panache. We also had escargot, calamari and 2 fish dishes - not one dish left us satisfied. We would have ordered a second bottle of wine but when the food and service and service is substandard - what’s the point?! Go elsewhere - Vancouver is full of restaurants! Also why bother with salt packets when your staff is wearing non approved clear face masks that don’t securely cover their nose and mouth?

Y L

Brunch has a great mix of options to choose from on the menu. Large wine selection. Didn't try the mimosas, but they have several to try if that's your thing. Right across from the water, so a nice place to take a stroll.

Chris Kennedy

Incredible food. Will melt in your mouth. Now doing take out too and they're so helpful and quick. Support them if you can.

Florent Terrones

We really enjoyed the patio and literally all dishes. Prices were a little high range but it was worth it. If it was a little more affordable we would visit there every week. Half dozen oyster for $20 seems a little too pricey. But hey it was good. Lol

Masoud Behzadian

This bar has a really smart interior and a great patio. Very good happy hour menu with an extensive wine list. Food is good too.

Alvin Wong

They ran out of oysters which kinda sucked. The two oysters which were included on the appetizer were a bit lacklustre, but other than that, great meal. One thing I did notice though is that one male server was totally creeping on a female server and she seemed super uncomfortable. Might want to check that one out!

Kelly Rogers

Meal was good and service was great until I came time to pay. I paid and tipped on the meal not on the wine. I went to the bsthroom and waiter tried to bully my wife to pay more of a tip. Wreck our evening and to bully someone it is wrong. The waiter is from France so watch out. We will never go back.

Chris

Stopped by for a glass of beer on happy hour today. Good beers and interesting appues available. Service is fast and careful. Seems like a very fancy, but pricey as well. Will check out their kitchen and huuuge list of drinks next time.

Flora Wu

Love the location and the food. The staff are friendly and professional. Always a joy to see Aerhyn, he is the best!

Ed Bryant

Very cute little restaurant near the water. Great selection of wine, and the Tappy Hour prices cant be beat! Staff was wonderful. Will definitely return.

Reza shirvani

We had the best time! The service was awesome and the food/wine were simply fantastic. Comme en France! We’ll be back soon.

Ben Valenzuela

Their breakfast or brunch is very good and I really like going here! The quality is pretty high, food taste great, and the atmosphere is stellar. Their tiny baguettes are delicious! but I do think its a bit pricey for what you are getting. Conclusion: Good Quality but a bit overpriced.

J Y

Food was good and great ambience! I love coming here, especially for dine out, but service was rude --> 4 stars.

I have visited the restaurant twice within a month already and the food, vibe, and services were great! For my first visit, I had the Dineout Vancouver dishes. Soup as an appetizer, ravioli with prawns as an entree, and a dessert. Foods came out pretty quick, which I was surprised but it was seasoned and cooked beautifully. I enjoyed the ravioli with prawns the most and it was one of my best dishes in restaurant. With creamy sauce and the perfectly cooked ravioli/prawns, it was melting in my mouth. The second time I visited the restaurant, one of chef recommended to try their lamb dish so I did. I have requested medium rare, and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My overall rating is 4-4.5. Definitely will visit again in the future.

Chloe Mirin Kwon

Good food, great view from the patio where we were seated and friendly staff! We ordered the two eggs any style - which came with a side of sausage and potatoes - and the croque monsier - which came with melted cheese and potatoes as well. Unfortunately, the potatoes were dry in both dishes but overall, food was tasty. The mimosa was good as well..

John B

The place was pretty good. A bit expensive for my taste but I can not complain about the quality of the food. The patio is nice to be near the water and the service was great.

Byron Cho

Nice portions, good variety of options. Fun place to try in a nice location.

nick grant

We had dinner here the other night. The food was delicious. I had the seafood linguini which was full of grilled seafood, prawns, mussels, clams, steelhead trout etc. My guest had the bouillabaisse which he thoroughly enjoyed. The room has a lovely atmosphere of energy, friendliness and people having fun. The tables are very well spaced with plexiglass dividers so you feel very safe to have a great evening out. The wine list is great with lots chose from by the glass as well. If you're craving seafood this is the place to be.

Darren Mosier

We ended up having brunch here randomly today and it was by far one of the best brunches I’ve had in Vancouver. Ever. The service was phenomenal so that was an added bonus! Must try if you’re a brunch fan.

Andrew Prowse

Delicious brunch, and smart and attentive service. Highly recommended.

Dusica Erakovic

Brunch was delicious ????

Our local go-to restaurant for celebratory events. Service is amazingly professional. Food is always excellent. Great wine selection. Appropriately priced for the dining experience.

hadi entezari

Rack of lamb, wine flights, seafood platter, crab cake Benedict, view, tappy hour, service...! There's not one thing I don't love about this place. TWB attached to it is also amazing (same kitchen and wine list!)

Ricco DaRed

nice location and decent food.

Shawn Berry

Great atmosphere, and tasty food. The coffee, on the other hand, is disappointing. Given the southern French theme it's a bit surprising. Price is fair, for such location and the scale of operation this is what is expected. If you are looking for the biggest bang of the buck, you probably should be at Japadog instead. For those who wants to relax and have a lazy Saturday brunch over afternoon sunshine, definitely check this place out. To the staff: please fix your coffee situation.

Here visiting friends and they treated me to dinner here. Beautiful setting (reservations recommended) as we sat outside on a cool, clear Vancouver evening. Blanks provided for those who were cool and gas heaters close by. Drink orders taken and there was an excellent selection of wines by the glass. Seafood was the order for the evening so we crab and shrimp cakes, steamed mussels, chilled Dungeness crab as appetizers and finished with the whole Dungeness Crab Provencal. For desert we split the chocolate mouse cake. A culinary delight with excellent service. Highly recommended for that meal with someone special.

Francis

Service is great and the mushroom ravioli was outstanding. I would have loved to give 5 stars but the serving was so small that I could have eaten two of them. I guess that I was supposed to order an appie, bread basket and dessert..

Graeme Boyd

Great place for Sunday brunch. Quality of food is always good and consistent. I've been there a few times and never had a bad experience.

The food was really good with great service. We were there for dine out 2019. A lot of selections on the menu compare to other dine out restaurants.

Good happy hour and beautiful setting, newly renovated decks, and 20th Anniversary!

First time going here. My wife made the reservation for us to celebrate our anniversary. When we arrived, our table was ready. Our table was not to our liking, so my wife kindly asked if we can be seated elsewhere. The hostess was very kind and accommodating and said she will. She asked us if we would be okay to wait at the bar while we wait for our table. While waiting at the bar, the hostess attention to detail that it was our anniversary, instructed the bartender to give my wife and I some complementary champagne. This was very thoughtful and we appreciated the professional service! When we were finally seated, our experience from beginning to end with our servers and food was great! I would definitely recommend this place from a casual get together or celebrating an occasion. The food is well portioned and flavourful. The atmosphere and ambience is not too loud and over crowded, for you to be able to enjoy each other's company. Kudos to the staff and management here at Provence!

Joanna Woronowicz

The passion of providing patrons with an unforgettable french dining experience stems from the knowledge and commitment of Jean Francis one of our favorite cuisine showcasers. Make sure to save some room for desert as the pastries and offerings leave a lasting impression on the joy of slow savouring and sharing for romantics old and new.

Melinda Ng

Super chic and delicious late-night dinner service with plenty of wine and bubbles for New Years Eve! The food was phenomenal. I definitely recommend the crab cakes and wild mushroom ravioli with prawns which was my favorite. I loved the atmosphere indoors, it was dim but well-lit enough to enjoy the food and take photos. There was also the live band singing for New Years when we were dining. You also can’t beat the view of the marina. It was just too bad that there were no fireworks this year to enjoy when the clock struck midnight. The wait staff was super friendly and helped to recommend us wines. However, some extra communication would have been nice because we were not notified about last calls from the kitchen. Dessert extended longer than dinner service but the special for the evening had already run out. We also had to double check on dessert because it took unusually long to arrive and it turns out they were waiting on fresh tarts to finish up which caused a delay. We believe it could have been the New Years countdown event that make have flustered up service a bit but would have been nice to not question it. Overall still very much enjoyed the restaurant and would definitely return again for the food.

I hope Google can provide other options less than 1. My experience with this place was simply terrible. I will put my comments in bullet list: • Bad selection of the table in a very dump place next to the cashier counter although we asked to sit next to the front or side windows. Two places by the windows were empty during our dinner time. • We asked the waiter to take us a family photo on the new year eve and she was busy and did not want to wastefew seconds to take us a picture. • The waiter was reluctant to explain the food ingredients for my daughter meal. • We asked for a dessert menu and the waiter brought when we asked for the bill. Ofcourse we decide not to get it any thing else. Instead of spending quality time with the family having dinner in the new year eve, our experience was horrible to the extent that we left the place in less than one hour, we scraped the idea of having a birthday cake celebration for our daughter after we witnessed. We will never come again to this place or recommend it especially for those with diverse backgrounds as the place is not inclusive or diverse enough to welcome all people not just certain portion of them.

Had an amazing meal tonight at Provence. It’s not often I eat out and actually love my meal. Tonight I have to say everything I had was outstanding! Our server Mick was awesome! I highly recommend this place if you want a great dining experience!

Best view for a breakfast place. Portions are enough but I usually need more if Im trying to cure a hangover.

Shadi Ahmadisagheb

Very enjoyable restaurant with nice views of the marina. Service was friendly and attentive from host to server to busser. Found the food to be inventive and high quality. Nice atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor (heat lamps running) seating available.

Excellent food and service. Went there for a business dinner and wasn't disappointed. Expect high prices though, average price for a main course is around 40$

Vancouver's best breakfast! Very delicious food and nice service. The hashbrown is so tasty! I suggest the cuisine called Two Egg Breakfast

Such a beautiful location, great service and delicious food. The wine list has a great variety and unique for any palate....will definitely come back. ????

Delicious Sunday Brunch and mimosas served by attentive servers. I suggest the vegetarian waffle eggs Benedict which was soo good! The crabcake Benedict was FULL of shrimp and crab and a treat for the palate!

The food and wine selection at Provence is, in my opinion, the best in the city. Every time we dine there, the customer service is always amazing and the views of the marina are to die for. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you are a lover of French cuisine and seafood.

Elsa Kermani

The worst service ever. I went there for a brunch with a few friends for the first time. The restaurant was busy, but they only had one waitress to take care of all the tables. We waited for 40min, then decided to ask a staff who was helping new customers to seat for some water. Right after our complaint about not getting a service, their only waitress came to us with so much attitude and took our orders. No one apologized for the delay even though we all made a comment about it. The food wasn’t that great either. One star is more than enough.

Denise Reyes

Breakfast with the family on the outdoor patio. Great food and a great location. Friendly efficient service.

Luckily we have place like this in vancouver. Place that make a simple dinner become something to remember. Everything in this place is taken care of, from the look to the food to any minimalistic detail. An experience that you cannot miss

Food: I've come to this restaurant multiple times, both for dine-out and takeout. Overall dishes are delicious. I've tried the bouillabaisse, crab and lobster rice, seafood linguini, prawn and scallop spaghettini, and the seafood platter. Favourite appetizers include the fish soup, crab cakes and steamed mussels. Seafood is fresh, and the combination of flavours and seasoning bring out the seafood very well. My only critique is that portions run on the smaller side; even for an average eater (I normally cannot eat an appetizer and main course myself) I find myself ordering and finishing both to feel just right for dinner. Some of the broths within certain dishes also run on the saltier side, which is not very healthy given they are a seafood restaurant. Service: The servers that I've had were great - polite, attentive and approachable. However, the manager is something to be said. She comes across as arrogant; as if she doesn't care if you don't want to dine at the restaurant and would just be as happy to see you go or stay. Ambiance: Great view, right by the seawall, definitely a nice way to walk off some of the calories. I think the original restaurant is better; not a fan of their "Wine Bar" extension - it's stuffy (literally). COVID measures: Definitely could do better. I'm not sure and don't think some of the tables are 6 feet apart; they fitted too many tables within the patio dining space. I understand that business is hurting from the pandemic, but having a outbreak from diners would be worse. They also do not spray or clean the cloth couches which is not acceptable in these times. They did change their menu to a QR code so that ordering is done via your own phone. Overall: I feel more comfortable doing takeout at this time with them given their patio isn't providing the safest of dining environment. Their food is great though so would return.

Selected this place to take the family to for brunch before an Alaskan cruise. Everyone at the table said their meal was delicious. I had the wild mushroom ravioli. This is one of my favorite dishes and I order it frequently at many restaurants. The dish here was a little cold but still one of the best versions of the dish I have ever had. The ham and cheese omelet was also a very popular dish at the table. I will definitely go back to this restaurant if I am in town again. Prices were reasonable too, especially compared to other restaurants that were recommended to us.

Amazing location, service & FOOD!!!... Merci!...

Herman K

Food and coffee were pretty average, especially the hollandaise sauce and greasy potato. Service was good

Glorie Averbach

The server was pleasant for the evening, the food however was mediocre at best, flavours were nothing memorable in my opinion; prices were quite high considering this. Would not be back.

Rick W

Delicious food with the best view! We love coming here for brunch and the croque Monsieur Benedict amazing! The service is also top notch. I would recommend skipping the French toast as it was a bit dry and clunky since it's made with baguette. The Benedict is where it's at!

Eatman

Horrible service. Within 5 mins of being seated on the patio, I asked to move indoor due to the sun being directly in my face. The server replied with "did you not see the sun when you sat down?". He then proceeded with saying that we would have go outside to line up again, as he can not pass on the request. The attitude and sarcasm was unnecessary and rude. Will never go back again.

Adrian Tavares

They were stunning. Good service very friendly & a lovely breakfast

A great menu, wonderful service, enjoyable, near waterside ...

Excellent! Fantastic staff who served us with the upmost air of professionalism. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection and although this place boasts a more expensive price it is more than fair when compared to the quality. The staff went above and beyond to make our anneversary dinner special. What a fantastic place to bring a date.

Server was rude! Pleasant place and the food was good but I have to say the server we had was not welcoming and flat out rude. I came in for breakfast with my wife and the sever did not have the decency to say good morning or ask how we were doing yet he greeted others very politely.. I asked a question about the menu and received a snarky and rude remark of “what you see is what you get”. I asked for a glass of water and he came back to give me one but not my wife. I asked for the cheque and he throw it down and walked away.

brad sanche

Great service and food. We went for my son's 25th birthday. I was hoping they would have a piece of cake for him.

Very old school place. Can't remember the last time I experienced such bad customer service. Waitress made fun of my dietary restrictions and argued that goat cheese was not dairy. Pretty embarrassing.

Mushroom ravioli is insane. Shellfish steamed is also good. The service was very personal and friendly. Enjoyed the experience here.

Waitstaff are fun and knowledgable, food is well priced and delicious. You can sit outside when it's cold thanks to heaters and blankets

I like this place for brunch. The food is great and I frequently go there for lunch. The price is reasonable for yaletown and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good brunch. The staff are very friendly and there is a large selection of food to choose from.

Kathryn Anderson

Delicious seafood prepared very well. Great spot in the summer with the patio doors opened. Restaurant is crowded so it makes for a louder and busier atmosphere. They got really good escargots. A more casual dining experience in a fine restaurant decor. Prices are fair for fine dining menu. Service is attentive and prompt. Good venue for special occasions.

Dan Welyk

Phenomenal dinner, wine and live music

John Busswood

It was okay. A bit on the expensive side but not too bad in that area. Great view. Slow service which is an issue. A single waitress had to deal with 8 table. Waited 20 minutes for someone to take my order.

Conor Larkin

Go for happy hour. You won't regret it and definitely leave happier than when you arrived. The service, decor, menu, food, and price are delightful!

Madeline Jhawar

Loved it! The food was delicious, the wine selection was amazing, and the service was delightful. It is a very seafood forward menu, so if that's not your thing, then maybe find somewhere else. That being said, my wife had the duo of duck and she was in heaven the whole meal. I enjoyed the bouillabaisse thoroughly. All of the staff was pleasant and quick to please. I definitely recommend this place.

Great food and fantastic service! Would recommend the oysters! The espresso martini I had was the best I’ve found in the city. Will definitely consider Provence for future date nights!

Provence is a very nice restaurant in a good location. Tasty dishes are served, with a Southern France focus. Large choices of wines, including by the glass. They also have nights with live music, which enhances the experience. Quite pricy, but you might be expect that based on the overall standing of the place. The chef was decorated of the French ordre du mérite agricole, qui a distinction.

The food was good as was the service but nothing was excellent. The wait times aren’t great nor is their ability to estimate wait times. They couldn’t even get us a table for the right number of people on their first try.

Great Mediterranean styled French restaurant that is very reasonably priced with great service. Every time I am here I enjoyed myself. That being said I did have bad memories about their fish soup years ago that still lingers in the nightmare section of my brain. Don't order their fish soup.

Michael Moreau

Yummy steamed mussels and excellent warm baguette to soak up the juice (need to order it special).

Lisa B

Absolutely fine, not fantastic. Service was gracious however slow, fish was nice but not remarkable. If your within walking distance, and enjoy wine with dinner, this place is for you.

Cindy Ip

Good attention to detail and great by the glass wine pairings. The temperature of the food and all the wines was perfect throughout the meal.

Deborah Kinisky

We had an reservation, and needed to wait 20 minutes for being seated (Valentines day). On the other hand we have been offered with free wine, which was nice. I was looking forward to hear live band as was advertised, when we arrived, they just stopped playing, packed and went home, I was disappointed... Food and service was on high quality

Writing this for my wife. She went there today with her girlfriend and had a less than satisfactory experience. Upon entering the establishment, they were not greeted at all. Server was not attentive as it was an effort to flag him down to place their order, get some water or even pay the bill. People that came in after them were greeted and were treated noticeably better. Perhaps it was because they didn't order coffees or tea to start, so maybe the perception is that they were not going to be spending that much money. The overall atmosphere seems like they would much rather cater towards a certain demographic as they were the outliers of the crowd. The food is mediocre best(didn't even finish the food) and the only reason they stopped by to try this restaurant is because the breakfast place next door had a 2 hour wait. Suffice it to say, they will not be going back. We will be turning our friends away from this restaurant because of this experience. How the hell did this place get such high reviews?

Geoffrey Moore

Friendly staff. The kitchen might want to step up their quality control, ordered oysters and one was smaller than the size of a penny. The issue was rectified quickly but it is something that they could have easily caught. The rest of the meal was wonderful.

Narelle Waite

Very beautiful spot by the water and decent happy hour. It has a nice patio option that was not incredibly busy when we went which is lovely. They are also near a gelato shop just half a block away is it is a great fate spot to transition from dinner to a stroll right by the water after.

David

The side dish of the smoked sable fish that I ordered was very blend, black lentils with no taste and leak that was almost tasteless. Service was great and the fish was good.

Stephen Kidson

Try sitting outside here one evening drinking great wine with friends and watching the world go by right next to the beautiful Yaletown Marina. I did and we had a great evening.

Enjoyed a delicious meal on the patio to celebrate our anniversary! The view was beautiful, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the meal was delicious! I had the full lobster which was a good price for the size. Must have wine as their selection is fantastic!

Omg, love it. I am from Mediterranean city and the fish in this place reminded me of home. The fish is so delicious. The people there were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend

06_Akshay Sharma

The seafood was alright, the soup was in the salty side, and the battered fish (I think it was steelhead fish) was a bit dry. The ambiance was great and the waiter was friendly :) Overall, a place to hang out and have some drinks, but would probably skip out of the food.

Andrei Vyrypaev

My one star is for our awesome waiter who was lovely and humorous and accommodating of my special requests - but sadly not for anything else. I wanted to go somewhere special for my birthday and we love seafood and the reviews on this place looked good so I reserved a table for Sunday night. The prices are averagely $40 per main course and we don't often spend that much on food, so we had high hopes and were excited to try it out. But we were so disappointed - the food was presented well but mostly bland and tasteless. The fish cakes I had to start were heavy & greasy, the sablefish was cooked to perfection (best bit of the night) but the tomato broth it came with looked and tasted like they had poured the juice straight out of the tomato can and the chard had no seasoning-may I suggest a bit of salt? My partner had the seared tuna which looked lovely but was totally bland. Then I had the lemon tarte for dessert and again it just tasted like they had opened a jar of lemon paste and poured it into a ready-made anaemic looking pastry case. For $35-40 a plate I expect fresh ingredients with meals made from scratch, with love & finesse. I did overhear the waiter saying something about the junior chef being on that night, so maybe we were just unlucky but I've never had such low quality cuisine at these prices. Totally overpriced and sadly I would not consider going here again.

I am have been to this restaurant already couple of times. I have to admit wasn't that impressed with the overall embience, service or food. I am not sure what's all the ravings about? For me to go back it would have to be on the house only then may I decide to go back...That's my take...

Juan Carlos Rovetta

Went here for dine out Vancouver and was underwhelmed at best. One thing i would expect from a seafood restaurant located on the edge of the ocean is fresh seafood. Not the stuff that tasted like it will make you sick.... It's also hard to judge a place from one server. But he was absent and seemed grumpy. I know that I'm getting a deal for dine out. But i don't expect it to be at the cost of good food and service.

Alex Jahangard

Provence is a very good place to eat at a patio. I heard its brunch is very famous, but I haven’t had the chance to give it a try yet. Nevertheless, the dinner was amazing. I love the fresh baguette! The crab and lobster bamboo rice is just omg amazing! You should try this! It gave me a mixed feeling! I am very hard to be pleased but this one is just amazing! The seafood linguini is super good too. It is not for me, but amazing! Iove the tarte au citron. Super fresh for a dessert to clean your mouth basically! Love the service! Super great waitress welcoming us! I would come back again to try its other food! Very recommended!

Sean Tellez

Decent place. Tried lobster and crab. Wild prawns were pretty tasty.

I came here for a weekend brunch and the Eggs Benedict were amazing. The service was a tad slow, but the overall experience was positive. The food and drinks were very good. I would recommend this place for brunch.

Food was good. Service as well. And there was no pressure to leave even though I think there may have been people waiting for our table.

Took my sister out for dinner for her birthday. Service was okay however we decided to try oysters and after having one I found a worm swimming in the shell. I immediately felt ill so I went to the restroom. Originally they had taken the oysters off the bill and we asked to speak to the manager. He seemed a bit stand offish and when asked if they washed the oysters before hand he said no because it takes away the natural brine...he then comped our drinks and took %25 off the bill. Never having fresh oysters before I would have appreciated a bit more reassurance, as they acted as if that sort of thing happened often. I'm not sure how normal or often it occurs but it was still gut wrenching to experience! Overall atmosphere was pleasant and was impressed at their wine selection. Unsure if I will go back, and perhaps seafood is just not for me!

Serena Ko

My boyfriend and I stopped in for happy hour. I ordered the $6 Prosecco or so they called it. It was completely flat. I asked the waiter if I can have a sparkling Prosecco because it's not Prosecco without the bubbles, it's just white wine. He told my waitress who then returned the glass to me and explained how that is thier happy hour Prosecco... It's flat because it comes out of a tap. If I want bubbles, I have to pay double the price. Excuse me? I've never, ever had flat Prosecco or of a tap or bottle. In all the research I've done and everyone I know in the industry knows it's not Prosecco when it's flat. I've had normal bubbly Prosecco on many happy hour menus for $5 or $6. To me, her excuse was saying this restaurant is cutting corners where possible. They already lost The Wine Bar, my sense is this business will be out of business in a matter of time, especially with that kind of treatment to customers. I'm extremely disappointed in this restaurant and would never go back.

Tony

Went for brunch with friends. Shared the baguette French toast, I had the crab cake Benedict. Loved it. Pairs very well with mimosa's ????

Camilla Harvey

This is my second time here but it’s definitely the definition of a 3-star restaurant. The service is friendly but the food is really nothing special. The price is more than you would expect and at their price point, their food really should be higher quality. I would come here only once since the location is really nice and maybe keep coming back for drinks but for food, you should try elsewhere.

Morva Rohani

Amazing food! The service is outstanding. Our waiter (Gabriel) was on top at everything, super nice and had great recommendations for food and drinks (20 pages wine menu). I will go back to this place, that’s 100% sure.

Mary Burns

Ordered a bottle of wine for $60 and came in an old bottle with restaurant name on it already opened. Waitress said it was because they bought a lot and put in their own container. Weird and I’ve never seen that before. How do we know which one it was and where it’s from ????????‍♀️

Chris Higgins

This is our company go to when it comes to impressing. Ocean front. Amazing food, reasonable price. Most important - if you show up for a few weeks you become family. I got hit by a car on my motorbike within eyeline Of the restaurant- the staff came and helped me - Clearly something they don’t have to. They don’t do delivery but with my broken leg and arm they did for me as I could not get out of bed. Josh, J-F, Marlena, Ben, Chris, Joanne, Lisa and everyone - thank you for making this place not just the best food in town to impress our clients, but for being just amazing people. For the record there’s 50 restaurants within 100m of wheee I live but they have earned the right to be called the best.

Agent Covfefe

Strengths - quality food and great atmosphere Weakness- the service wasn't quite up to standard for such a restaurant. Came here with coworkers for dine out. The menu had a decent variety of choices for entree and desserts. Thee food was all good and the bread they served was soft. The servers didn't refill the bread or the crackers until we asked for it. The waiters attitude could also be better. To note- we didn't just do dine out but ordered two bottles of $350/bottle of wine.

This is a late review but well deserved. Ordered the Steak & Lobster Duo and the Nicoise Salad Provencal. Employees ensured safe distance for everyone waiting. Food came individually packaged to keep cold and hot separate. Even with travel time and plating, the food was perfect temperature, steak done as ordered and fish cooked perfectly. All in all it was a great experience and have recommended to all our friends. Fantastic job!!

If you like Seafood then you will love this restaurant. Fantastic food and the wine list is huge with more that 250 bottles to choose from. If you can sit outside. View of the water and the city is beautiful. This is the perfect place for a late night dinner in the city.

Had breakfast here the other day, the service was awesome! The breakfast is good but very mediocre and lacking fruit. Out of the three dishes we ordered, I’d say the crab Benny was the most favoured.

We went with a party of 7 for a friend's birthday. Our group shared the crab and shrimp cakes (with smoked paprika and tomato mayonnaise) and they were fantastic. I got the Tomato Festival set course: chilled yellow campari tomato soup (poached wild prawn, cucumber relish) sundried tomato gnocchi with crab (green tomato concassé, lemon and tarragon beurre blanc) dessert du jour (I forget) The soup was good and the gnocchi was good but I like gnocchi better with a pesto sauce. My friend got the berry and white chocolate clafoutis and it was so incredible that I completely forgot about my dessert. Another friend got the crème brûlée (raspberry) and it was forgettable. My girlfriend got prawns provençal (wild pacific prawns, garlic, parsley, brandy, butter sauce, seven grain rice, zucchini spaghetti). It was good, but she thought too buttery. I tried a friend's crab and lobster bamboo rice risotto (snap peas, tomato and fresh herbs, AQ) and it was amazing. Overall, there was a lot of variety in the quality of the food, so others would rate the place from 3-5 stars, but I was happy just not floored.

Provence marina side... What can’t I say about this place. It’s easily one of Vancouvers best restaurants. I have been coming to this restaurant since I was twelve. I love provincial French cooking with its unique Mediterranean and Italian influence. The food is always fresh be it surf to turf. The staff and management are amazing. I literally worked here when I was younger. The kitchen is always clean. JF, Alessandra and family are very hands on in the restaurant. The costumer is always priority and the food is the most important thing. The sleek French modern industry design is perfect for the beautiful Yaletown waterfront view. It’s my home away from home. Many locals from Yaletown and the rest of Vancouver are always stopping by to say hi. From the front desk to the kitchen the restaurant is full of great people who passionately care about all aspects of a great restaurant.

Oh M gee - It is 10 AM and we have just finished the SeaWheeze 21k. People are starving and we are trying to find a breakfast spot in the West End that is not swamped with a 2 hour wait . Someone suggests Provence Marinaside and we start walking from Robson SW to the marina. People's knees hurt, feet are sore, triumph of accomplishment is starting to be forgotten as it starts to rain our faces again... All is forgotten when we arrive and are welcomed with an incredibly accommodating round table perfectly suited for 7 hungry guests. The service is quick, the drinks are fantastic (Mimosas and Ceasars all arond please), and the food is incredible! Starting with the "fresh baked goods" basket and continuing through the Croque Monsieur Benedict and French Toasted Baguette. No one was speaking at all nor even recalling the soreness of their joints any longer. From inventive to classic, Provence Marinaside did not disappoint. Smiles all around for our race day brunch spot. Thank you!

Provence Marinaside used to have higher standards and have greatly shifted towards the casual side. I came here for a Christmas Eve brunch and was welcomed with the most UNWELCOMING environment. Lack of any acknowledgement from the staff in the sense that we waited 10 minutes at the table with no greeting nor beverage offers. Although food is well priced, they are cheap on their customer experience, sadly.

Marko Joannou

The pastry basket was delicious. Great location in Yale town right In Front of the water perfect for brunch with someone special.

Shreya Sharma

Always good food and nice view especially in the summer like this.

Nicholas Erho

Fantastic menu with a nice number of seafood dishes as well as options for the meat lovers; and of course the classic French dishes too. To top it off, they have an elaborate wine list, with French wines you can’t get anywhere else. We had the escargot and frog legs as an appetizer and that was my favourite dish of the night. The ambience was great and the servers were very knowledgeable. Would definitely come back.

Matthew Li

Had happy hour dishes, including the olives, squid, risotto balls. All start at around 6 dollars.

Josh Murphy

I've been coming to Provence for many years. The food is always excellent and the service is usually very good. They have a great selection of traditional French dishes which are always great! On Wednesday evenings they have live jazz which is really enjoyable! The location is fantastic overlooking the marina.

Riaz Khan

Love the food and the service. Always go for our Anniversary. The seafood choices are amazing.

Zineb A.B

My favorite brunch place. Menu and prices are reasonable.

Christy Evans

Great food to get your brunch on

Rich W

Delicious Food, Great Drink Selection, View, Location, and Service. The Seafood Was Very Fresh and Worth The Price

Amin Taghipour

Elegant yet cozy! Beautiful location and tasty food. The escargot was fantastic. Service was a bit slow to start, however it was busy. They made up for it in the end though!

Prateek Bakhtiani

A very cozy place. Jazz music added to invigorating ambiance. Delicious food and reasonable price. Polite and smiling staff. Pauline the server was approachable and ensured my stay was close of being at home. Washroom was so clean. Free curbside parking nearby.

Ang

Wonderful and patient service team, excellent food, wonderful atmosphere.

Bryan

Great food, ambiance and location. There was a lobster special when we were there and it was excellent!

Satoko Oka Norimatsu

Brunch menu and coffee are delicious.

Ashley Moore

Great spot. Super tasty food, with a large variety of options, from bocconcini to beef dip! Make sure to try the "bread in a bag"...Sooo good.

Edward Zhou

Great food and service. Had the Chorizo scambled

William Davis

Excellent food and a nice patio on the sidewalk

Jessie Ye

TWB The Wine Bar - we had a very nice evening sitting at their sidewalk tables. Nice selection of wine by the glass, with good daily specials. We liked the wide selection of nibbles to go with our wine.

Eddy Chiang

Maybe I caught them on a bad day but definitely was not a pleasant experience. Unfriendly hostess who talked condescendingly to us and impatient server who somehow refilled the coffee next table, glanced at ours and didn’t refill ours, and never did. Not common to find this kind of poor, impersonal service in restaurants this calibre. Efficient service & tasty food (portion was a bit on the small side).

Karen Frank

Fantastic brunch, as always. Not cheap, but not expensive either. Good quality with great views of the marina.

Rick M

Good food, great vibe and service and the Wednesday night music was excellent.

Maddy Cors

Great service and good food. My wife's fish was excellent but my veal was a tad salty. Enjoyed the atmosphere and view of the marina.

MIT LONG

So good! Our waiter Gabriel was so knowledgeable and helpful. Amazing wine selection to go with the wonderful food. Thank you!

Benjamin Bolliger

Food is great. Brunch is nice with view and fresh air in the summer. The servers seemed a bit disorganized. But service was still great.

Babak B.

A good Sunday brunch. I have had the traditional bacon and eggs, the egg's Benedict, and the savory crepes. All very good and reasonably priced. It's really nice to sit outside on the patio in warmer weather - right across from the water - lovely!

M K

You are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food, wine, and level of service were well worth the price point. I would highly recommend this spot for a nice evening out and will be returning!

Tristan J

Beautiful day for a walk at Cooper's park. There was an event - Catwalk for dogs. Modeling FrenchLime leggings along with Rescuer dogs available for adoption.

Fernandofpn

No highchairs available, first time we've experienced this anywhere. Their excuse was because of covid they didn't want to keep wiping it. It left me puzzled. Might as well put a sign up front saying kids aren't welcomed. Service is very un-attentive and slow. We ordered a steak and they didn't even provide us with steak knives. Found ourselves waiting around for our server to come around multiple times. The food was delicious though. Been here multiple times, I would say the food is solid but service is very mediocre at best.

mindz333

Overall very satisfied with their service and food. Professionally run! Will always come again

Danielle Lindsay

Food as always was great. Service is good. And not too far from gelateria

Alli Bearinger

Eric was attentive, hilarioud and kind. We had no wait time for a sunday morning, sat out on the patio under a heat lamp, and enjoyed crab cake benedicts and baguette french toast while people watching. It rained a little but was the best brunch I have ever had.

Joanna M

Delicious food with wonderful atmosphere. Perfect for date nights and special occasions. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Paid street parking at $3/hr. Waterfront views with optional patio seating. Bar tables available while you wait. Free appies as well. Highly recommended.

Richard Muscat Azzopardi

Great people watching, fabulous deck and terrific service. Ok food, not bad but not great either. I would go back on another sunny day, but when the rain comes, I'd choose one of the many spots close by with better food.

성진영

Jay Laxdal

Shocked by the terrible service here. We paid the bill using a credit card and left a cash tip. After completing the credit card transaction, the waitress became very aggressive and mentioned, very loudly, that we hadn't tipped on the card. She continued to be aggressive. We mentioned this experience to the manager who was very dismissive. The food wasn't worth it. Head to Terra Breads; food is better and the service excellent.

Dave S

Exceptional food and service. I can hardly wait for the weather to wake up so I can sit on their gorgeous patio!

Danuta Jaworski

I got to enjoy seafood next to the marina in Vancouver and the food was really good!! I wish the portions were a little larger but no real complaints about the meal.

Antal Tungler

Happy hour is quite good! Dinner is not as good, the food was Luke warm and the taste did not match the price

Tamara Colgan

Summary: Don't even think of eating here if you're hungry for a meal that is sufficient to fill something larger than a bird. So I realize the demographic that Provence is likely trying to attract, rich old women who have all the time in the world to sit, drink mimosa's, and gossip over a $22 half egg whipped to perfection. However, as a budget conscious male I enjoy the feeling of getting what I pay for. Both times I've eaten here has been an immensely underwhelming and disappointing experience. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so of course I ordered the chorizo eggs. Unfortunately, what transpired amounted to nothing more than a cruel joke - probably no more than half an egg whipped up and scrambled to resemble that of 3 eggs full of air. Would you like fruit with that? That will be an extra $5. Would you like some attitude with that service? Coming right up! Authentic French cuisine! I left feeling $22 lighter, ripped off, annoyed, and proceeded with the need to eat a second actual meal elsewhere, vowing to never return.

Flo L

Amazing brunch. Some of the best wedge potatoes I've ever had. Decent portions and the prices are about what you pay at any other brunch place, yet the food is much better than most. Great flavour and freshness. The avocado was perfectly ripe. The restaurant was clean and spacious and has a large capacity which is nice.

Daniel Schoellenberger

Food is average. The owner welcomed us which was nice, you can tell he is the owner by the way he was working. The staff is stressed, the tattoed waiter was intimidating to deal with. Not a place to relax on a Sunday brunch.

netali goren

I went to the restaurant during Dine out festival. Service is really good. Some of foods were great, some others were just fine. It was such a great time in there with my friends

Suman Dhillon

Cool idea of wine on tap. Beautiful restaurant and location. Take their hand painted wine bottles home with you for a small fee. Great food!

Chris L

Brunch food was really good!

Felicia Z

Service was quite slow for both the food and drinks. I thought the lunch menu was a decent price for the portion that was received (although I was hoping for a bigger portion). Food tasted average in my opinion.

Rob Reid

Wednesday has a jazz combo in the evening from 6:00 to 9:00. This being the end of the year many of the selections we’re seasonal. Great to hear live jazz. I choose the frog legs and snails followed by mussels AND the were tender! So often I have ordered these elsewhere and been disappointed. Bravo Provence Marinaside. The last time I had the particular apple cake that was on offer, it must have been 40 years ago, memories flooded back. Great service and not too expensive.

Eliab Roman

Had a wonderful time at Provence Marinaside... Darcy took great care of us and very attentive. I recommend the seafood Crepes simply Devine ! Thanks too all of the amazing Chef's and Staff. Had a wonderful Brunch....

Massimo

Excellent seafood. Desserts are unique. Very good service.

Jen G

Very good dinner, sablefish was excellent, tenderloin was slightly dry. Great meatball appetizer and scallops appetizer. Will return for sure.

Lynda Marie Neilson

good fish and baguettes

Bill Tzetzos

Lovely dining experience. Good service, great wine selection, and even better food.

Carson Meyer

I was really impressed. I would give additional stars if I could and I don’t often say that. The seafood was wonderfully prepared. Everything was tasty, flavourful and well plated. The service was also perfect in every way. I had the whole Mediterranean fish. My fiancé had the salad with salmon. Price was was very good too. Not a cheap restaurant but very well priced for a upscale seafood place. (And no matter what you have, order the half French bread. I will be back for sure. Exceptionally done.

Susanne Schubert

We had one pound of spot prawn, half steamed half grilled. The steamed ones were a little bit chewy, but overall they're great. The steamed mussel was a must! We loved it! Buttery, savory, creamy, so flavorful. The garlic toast goes well with the broth, it just soaks in every last bit of the umami.

Anna du Bois

Went there for Sunday brunch and received terrible service. The waiter did not come over to give us water and greet us for over 20 mins. When we finally asked someone to bring us coffee they forgot. Food was mediocre and we hated our experience again.

Owen Fan

Was looking for a dog friendly restaurant and came across this restaurant. Has limited patio seating however you can tie your dog to the outside of the restaurant railing. There is a glass partition for you to see your furry pooch. The food was great no complains. Flavorful and good portion size.

Linda Kirste

Food is always good but service at Brunch or other busy times is poor. We came here for my birthday brunch and it was very busy. They don't take reservations for brunch so we had to wait. We asked to be seated next to the window and they said that it will take a while. So we accepted to sit down at the back of the restaurant. Right after we ordered our food, I saw a table open up right by the window so we asked our server if we could move and she said No. They have a rule against moving because it complicates the food service. I'm not sure why it would be so hard to send out food to another table... Either way this is the first time I've been told that we can't move to another table that's free at a restaurant.

Aimee Vallieres

Amazing food! Great wine! Strongly recommend the mushroom ravioli! Supper yummy! Although I do not agree with the $4 charge for butter for the $3baguette.. bread was amazing but butter was pretty basic.

Grizabella Li

Staff was friendly, happy hour was well priced and included a wide selection of wines (not just one white, one red, etc.). We also ordered the Pomme Frites and mushrooms - both were delicious, especially the mushrooms. Did not eat any entrees as we were just there for happy hour.

Excellent food, service and embiance. Also love the location and water view.

Liana West

The good: Baguette half baked finished in house really really good The bad: Ceviche too expensive for portion size with half raw snow peas/ not cleaned properly Mussels 17$ for 9 mussels………… way too expensive for just a white wine sauce Green beans completely raw, asked for new ones and they were even more raw…. My girlfriends prawns were too salty asked for new ones and they said all the prawns are salty/ no salt added they’re just super briny (never heard that before working in kitchens my whole life) Wouldn’t bring new prawns offered some scallops and they were undercooked left my girlfriend feeling with a bad stomach/ food sick gave the bill super quick with no time to digest just pay and get out no dessert offered/ coffee Assumed she’s Korean and kept speaking to her in Korean throughout the night flying by the table with no chance of responding (she’s Japanese and took offence to that) overall terrible experience

Tim Worthen

Very nice french cuisine! Taste is pretty good. Price is fair. Seafood was fresh. Close to water so you can go for a walk after. Kept well for.covid 19 and good social distancing.

Scotty Schumann

Food was excellent all round, there was 6 of us, we all left happy!

Anthony Wong

Food is good. Location is great. Service was outstanding (we had a standout waiter). First, it's located by the water so you have a great view out the patio windows. Second, it's surprisingly child friendly. We had two kids with us and from the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and whipped out the crayons and kids menu. Everything throughout the meal was done taking our kids into consideration. Next the food. Kids ordered chicken fingers and salad, and grilled fish with fries. All done well. I ordered bocconcini and tomatoes appetizer, which was okay. I prefer tomatoes slices over cherry tomatoes which they used. I also like the cheese more thinly sliced vs the chunks they cut it in. Next was the main: steelhead trout, which was very good. On a bed of spinach and chickpeas. The others at our table ordered seafood pasta and grilled squid , both done very well. For dessert, the creme caramel was excellent, while the sorbet was a bit too sweet for my taste, but perfect for the kids. I finished with a black coffee, which was average at best (think diner coffee). Overall great value and experience. The lunch special is one appetizer and one main for $28. Add dessert for $5. Hard to beat for food like this at a location like this.

NuHair Medical

Good wine list and a lot of heated patio seating.

Salar Rismani

When ever I'm in Van I always come down here. Even if that's all I do

Karl Kwong

From staff, to wine list, to exceptional kitchen. One of my favorite places

Molly Purcell

Provence Marinaside is a great place for an afternoon snack. Happy hour is 3 to 5 and has many drinks on special. The food is spectacular and simply a great spot to meet up or just watch the people on the seawall.

Arash N

Great patio and ambiance. Feels like Europe my the marina

Kensheen Winchester

Awesome patio views of water and great spot for people watching....restaurant follows covid protocols. The special butter they serve is amazing....the name escapes me now but ask your server he/she will know.

Erik P

We had a horrible experience dining to this restaurant. They just basically kick my 5 year old son out of the restaurant because He was crying under the table. The manager(she) could have handle it in a better way without offending us, parents. First off, they accept people with kids dining in- So i am pretty sure that this is not the first time that there was a kid crying in the restaurant. And my son was under the table crying- he is not violent nor i don't think disturbing other guests since that it was already loud in there to begin with. We are foodie and loved dining out, this was our first time dining into a restaurant that asked us to take my kid out because he was crying. I find that heartless!! This review is based on our experience- I am sorry to say but it was a horrible experience for us!

Juliann Kirkland

Food is underwhelming and service was basic. The view and company make up for the experience.

Slim Rouissi

This was an awesome exsperience our server Benjamin (sorry if i spelt that wrong) was awesome always made sure we were alright made awesome suggestions and suprised my fiance with a birthday pie, and the cheif gave us a sample of sablefish. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. I am only giving 4 stars because nothing is perfect! I will come here again!???????? awesome job Benjamin

J Monique C

My favorite happy hour in the city! The wine menu and the snacks here are so incredible! The staff is so friendly and attentive and the vibes here are great! It’s intimate yet social and I’m going to mention the wine again...such a great spot!

Roy Monsanto

Nice classy ambiance. Service was really good. Food was so so. The frog legs and calamari were frozen not fresh. Kronenbourg beer was great

Travis Dueck

Good happy hour options for both food and wine. Service was a little lacking. They have a nice patio with views of the seawall and false Creek

Courtney T

Go here for happy hour! They have a lot of wine and beer choices, and a big happy hour food menu.

Mahalia Sanchez

We went to this restaurant for our anniversary a few days ago. The service was excellent! Elizabeth treated us as if we were her only guests (which was obviously not true!). The selection in each food category was above average, and it was actually hard to make a decision - we wanted to try quite a few dishes. The food amount of each dish was just right. We had a great time and would highly recommend this place!

Annie Ko

Exceptional good service staff. Food could have been a bit more flavourful.

Parker Wachter

I was there for lunch like a few weeks ago and the server (It was a man, maybe from India or somewhere) of my table was terrible. I was asking some questions to another waitress and the server pulled a wine glass with a jerk from my little girl. and all the other wine glasses even without asking or anything. My little girl was holding the glass and it could hurt her. I was so upset and asked him to apologize but the server didn't and was rude. I did not want to have lunch there any more. And we just left and will never visit there again. I should've called the manager. He was a racist.

R

This place is probably one of my favourite places to have brunch especially summer time you get to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the beautiful view. Also I really like how it’s a dog friendly restaurant they even have bowls of water out for them. Good foods good service awesome view check them out. ????????

Love the atmosphere and the music. I like the food too.

We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant with a view, and this was the spot! The street patio was very well kept (the outdoor heaters were a great addition too). All of the staff were very friendly and consistently made sure we were taken care of. The vibe on the patio seemed more like a brewery, but indoors looked very relaxed and classy. The food was quite pricey, but our order of the seafood platter didn't stand out. We would definitely come back for a special occasion to try something else on the menu.

Sarah Wong

The food was incredibly good. The veg options on mushroom ravioli and crumbed goats cheese were appreciated by the non-meat eaters. We also had a minor medical emergency for one of our elderly guests that required an ambulance (nothing to do with the food). The staff handled it very professionally. My daughter found the server's jokes funny and we all found the service top notch.

Ryan Faith

Love the wine selection but no food included in happy hour and the seafood salad was bland and flavorless.

Louise Curtis

Old school French goodness, I had the chorizo scramble, soooo good. Feels like I'm back in Nice, France......

I took my friend to this lovely restaurant as we're celebrating her birthday and she decided to come to this place located by the water (false creek side) in order to have brunch. I ordered the "croque monsieur benedict" she asked for "Belgian sugar waffles" plus the sparkling water and 2 mimosas to make it fun and we also asked the server for a recommendation for a dessert as we acknowledged him (the server) my friend was celebrating her anniversary, so he advised us to ask for "clafoutis aux fruits rouges", so we did. However, at the end and as we finished our meals and dessert was not coming, we decided to ask for the bill from one of the staff. The guy kindly told our server that we wanted our bill so he came and delivered such but including the dessert by saying it's on its way. My friend and i decided to wait for the dessert and after a while we asked him again for the whereabouts and he said it's on its way. Overall, the service was good even though it's a busy Sunday. However, we didn't feel its okay to charge for a dessert that's not yet ready and that can be voided in the service and left the customers waiting when they already waited and wanted to pay and leave pleasantly.

Garry Milman

Very good restaurant. I like to go there for breakfast and can recommend Croque Monsieur Benedict. They offer in the afternoon Tapi Hour with tapas and wine.

Allen Lam

I’ve had dinner here a couple times and it’s always amazing, I’ve given a good review for dinner. Brunch I’m not sure food wise especially... we had brunch here today for my birthday weekend, the server was already having a bad day apparently forgetting our order having ask us a couple times what drinks and then again food we had I didn’t mind that part. The real issue the breakfast dish we ordered and that nothing was done when I made a valid complaint about seafood being off. The dish was bad as the seafood in the crepes was so off and tasted freezer burned for sure we all tried it. My chicken crepes were excellent so it’s too bad that one dish ruined there experience. Coffee and mimosas were great and our other two dishes were tasty. She said she’d let the kitchen know about the one dish (it’s good for them to be aware), later gave our bill after but took nothing off. She most likely said nothing to the manager or kitchen. So here I’m having to write a honest review. She could of cared less about my feedback. TL:DL - Dinner absolutely recommend, the brunch not so much unless it’s drinks.

Dana Westermark

Went for brunch. Food was okay, not bad but certainly not anything to rave about. Thought it was expensive for the portion size and quality of the good. Definitely used to be better.

Adam Woodhouse

Provence Marinaside never disappoints!!!! Such delicious food, great ambiance and the servers make you feel special. Great wine selection too!

Tony L

Our waitress was incredible! Food was delicious and nicely presented.

Nick Toth

I’ve made a terrible mistake of coming here as a high school student. Great restaurant but expensive xD

Davis Harrison

The food was good. Service was terrible. Servers act like they dont care, they are rude. I feel bad for the kitchen staff because I didnt give any tip. Such a shame that a restaurant businees leaves a bad taste of their experience just for the server attitude.

Declan Sacre

Food was five star service was efficient and friendly good spacing for covid protocols. Patio is open this time of year with good heaters

Pore So

We went to Provence a week ago and were very impressed and pleased. We have been regular customers for years and patronized them over the last few months. With patios open, we decided to have dinner on their patio. Everything was great. All the staff had masks on, our table and chairs were properly cleaned when we got there. We liked using the QR code for the menu (rather than touching a menu). Our food was brought out with covers on it. As always, the food and wine were wonderful. We will be back.

Brietta Stewart

My husband and I joined another couple here for Dine Out Vancouver. We love this restaurant. It never disappoints. The food was excellent and the wait staff was friendly and engaging. The staff is always so energetic and happy to offer their assistance with food choices and a kind hello. We do dine here regularly so we feel as though this is our Cheers Restaurant where everyone knows our name. :) I could not recommend this restaurant more. You cannot choose a bad dish and the wine list is perfect. Anywhere from entry level wines to vintage wines. You can find something for everyone.

Michele Findlay

The ambiance was good, but not comparable to a real french style restaurant ! Very well situated. Their cocktails are not good at all. The tall lady was so rude to us. Zero customer service. We won’t come back here. Hélas!

Michelle

One of the best seafood place you should try. We did three courses for $45. Their menu is in a wide rage, so you will definitely find something what you want.

Darren Singh

The only problem with this place is that everything that I’ve eaten here is so delicious I want to die. It’s impossible to decide what to eat, every time I try something new it becomes my new favourite. It would be helpful if they would put a few items on the menu that were mediocre just to make it easier to decide what to eat.

Mark Sun

Good patio with French inspired dishes. Seafood is excellent with lots of choices. Fish soup was pretty tasty but unsure how fresh it was. Seafood in our Bouillabaisse was fantastic. Service was prompt and caring without intruding. Lots of pretentious crowd in this restaurant...

ACSW Chang

High quality ingredients, not too sweet or salty for meals, drinks or deserts. Beautiful restaurant and patio, great location and views, friendly staff and good value for what you get/ambiance.

yu chen huang

Wonderful brunch selection with flavourful food, made to one's specific tastes. Excellent service. The difficulty will be choosing what to eat.

Hostess ran the busy seating well. Even though they mainly take walk up. The wait wasn't long. Best patio in yaletown. Not too much traffic(exhaust) in the area. Beautiful water view. Easy to tie dogs up to the railing. Food is great too. A must go to when in Vancouver.

Michael Diering

Love the food here! very friendly staff with a super cool location

Christina DiPoce

Best happy hour on wines in town. All Okanagan wines and under $10/glass!

julia peter

Wine list is ok, food is nothing special. Service is also slow and impersonal. Always feel like they are rushing you out the door. The food, it seems like they are trying to skimp on olive oil and as a result the flavor is lacking. Often things are overcooked, or obviously precooked and finished in microwave. Too much salt, always. I give them a 3 star hoping they will improve.

L Lee

The service was amazing, the food delicious and abundant, the view is calm and relaxing. The prices very reasonable. A place to go back! Thank you!

soum kundu

Great food, great service. Love the ambience of this place. Rack of lamb was very tender and flavorful. Price is a bit high but I think it's worth it.

N Van

Went for brunch on Sunday. Loved the warm, friendly service from Maxime! Accommodating service at the front desk too. Benedict portions are a little small. Delicious mushroom ravioli. I prefer this place for lunch esp. in summer on the patio, great Sangrias. There's also a wine bar thats perfect for dates.

GS M

Hands down the worst dining experience I’ve had in the last 5 years. The food was horrible, the portions were minuscule, and the service was mediocre. But I get it, you have to make up for the lost revenue some how. Just a tip, just because we are dining with our children, doesn't mean my husband and I haven't experienced 5 star service at top restaurants before. I don't mind topping off my own wine, but at least make sure my kids have water and quality check the entrees (that were overpriced and disgusting; stay away from the sablefish and the 8 mussels you will receive as an appy). Serving 101 people - treat ALL your tables as equals.

Roisin Horan

I came to this place to try the lobster. Oh boy! Such as deliciousness experience. Try it sauteed and I assure you will love it. The service is top notch from all the staff. I'm definitely coming back soon!

I recently moved to the neighborhood and spent sat evening there with couple of my friends. I was excited about this restaurant as it got good location and views but got disappointed with customer service and not gonna go back again! One my girl friends was a bit adventurous and ordered a drink which turned out to be quite strong and bitter. I nicely explained to the manager and asked if she can get another drink. I thought such restaurant and bar would be professional enough to care about customer experience. However surprisingly the manager replied back that “you know this is a loss for us, we’re gonna charge you for the drink!” We got another drink anyway, but how much a drink costs for them? $1 or $2 and it’s a loss for them?! Well, I think what’s loss for you dear manager is the fact that we never come back and if the name of this restaurant ever comes up, we tell our story. Hope it would be a lesson learned :)

Heather Dix

Great wine and food.

winston k

Great atmosphere, service was attentive. Music entertaining and classy. Great view of the marina Overall had a fun experience at a classy resturaunt.

Excellent French food with excellent service on the patio that is dog friendly (dog has to stay on the other side of the fence).

Farooq Mian

Really nice place. The veal sausage was really salty. Unlimited coffee refill. Eggs were really nice. Staff were amazing, very attentive

Madora Moshonsky

One of our favorite places to eat when we visit Vancouver. Great food and great location.

Ed Jang

The view was beautiful, the food was quite the disappointment for a restaurant that specializes in seafood! The escargot appetizer looked awful in it's presentation, the albacore tuna looked so pale while it's supposed to be pinkish, our lamb entrees were supposed to be rare but we got medium to well done instead...the salmon was over cooked and dry. Perhaps they were super busy but I can justify paying $380 for 6 people for such low quality food! If you are looking a French restaurant like I was, I would rather go back to Jules or Le Crocodile... And the waitress didn't have 10 seconds to help us take a group foto but she had a lot time to hang around and chat while waiting for us to pay the bill!

John Willis

It's not bad, but nothing special? Especially for the price. Cocktails should be a 2/3rds if not half the price

Daryl Shim

Good food, great service, good wine list

Vicki Fuss

Love the dining experience. Staff are friendly, accomodating and quick. The real action takes place behind the scenes in the kitchen though ;p The kitchen staff are very mindful of food intolerances and allergies, so need to concern yourself if that applies to you :)

The waitress who was serving us was super nice and gave us great recommendations on what to get. I got the Linguini with Ground Organic Angus Beef, it was the perfect amount of food. The drinks were delicious and if you prefer to not have alchohol they try to find a similar drink if they cant serve it without.

Serina Hara

Wednesday jazz night was fun, great food.

September Morning

No idea why this place is highly rated. I came here with a friend for brunch yesterday, the menu was mediocre, so I just ended up ordering gilled vegetables and water. The served a handful of greasy veg plus sparkling water cost over $15 I was not happy at all to pay so much for a terrible meal. To make matter worse the service was lame and we felt like they were trying to rush us out when we hadn’t even been there long at all!

Kacey Wilson

Went here for brunch. Very trendy restaurant right across from the marina. Loved the decor especially the subtle Holiday decorations. Great service, they filled up our drinks several times. I got the Chorizo Scramble which was the weakest of our party's dishes. It was good and the eggs were well seasoned but it was such a small serving, looked like only 2 small eggs with a few toppings. Came with two baby tomatoes, some bread, and potatoes too but those weren't inspiring. My girlfriend's crab cakes were amazing though, get those. Will probably come back.

geohockey

Very cozy place and and a professional service. You get a high quality seafood.

Jon

One of the top restaurants in Vancouver. Great food and service. Always busy. Cost $$$ but well worth it considering quality and innovation. Great wine and beer selection and the wine bar is a great hanging out spot. Don't miss weekend Brunch. Wed night jazz is a must !

Tabitha Marie Geraghty

Nice Mediterranean restaurant in front of Yaletown's marina. The food is great, the service is outstanding from everyone (not only our server) and the bread made available at all steps of the dinner really made us feel like home in France. Would definitely eat there again next time in Vancouver!

Ian Daisley

Delicious! Portions are a little on the small side but they made up for it in flavour!

Michael W

The food was great. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was quick, with minimal waiting for the orders. The views are beautiful as well.

This is an extremely well run restaurant that is a treat to eat at each time we visit.

I went there for Dine Out. It was quite busy, but the service was excellent and so was the food. As close to an authentic French experience as you can get here. Would go again. (For Dine out as price is $$$$)

Came here for an afternoon lunch and the atmosphere was amazing! Either I just had great company with me or the vibes were on fire either or, I had a great time! The servers were hilarious, really great customer service, the food came quick and was very delicious; highly recommend coming here.

Wally Chan

This place used to be quite good. Don’t know why they are slipping. IMO the best dish on the menu was their Lobster and Crab Bamboo Rice. It doesn’t taste the same. The crab cake wasn’t good. The lamb merguez was decent. Service and location are still good but the food quality and taste have slipped.

Ron Wilson

Nice brunch spot. Good atmosphere. Good food. 5 kinds of Mimosas and excellent wait staff.

James Wilson

I had the seafood platter and an order of frog legs with escargots. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size of each and the taste was fantastic. The bread served was fresh and melt-in-your-mouth. Our server was kind but not personable, a little outside of what I expected. I would love to go back again soon, especially to try out jazz night. Great overall atmosphere.

Marc Joly

A bit pricey, but food is good nice view of the False creek

Chet Veitch

Friendly staff, great food.

Chris Chan

Was so good and delicious meal. 5 stars to chef.

Jessica Reid

Good food. Loved our server she was lovely and separated us from the otherwise pretentious atmosphere.

Ed Bulley

Food and ambiance are amazing! I ordered the mushroom ravioli and it was a 5/5!

J L

Although the waitress was very nice on our visit, the food quality was terribly low. You could tell the French Toasts were fried in old oil used for fish before!!!!

Lisa Leo

We went here for brunch. The food was great and the staff were fabulous. We were a group of six plus a baby. They were very kind, attentive and very accommodating especially with the baby. Everyone that I was with really enjoyed their meal.

Gavin Tee

I had an excellent brunch at Provence Marinaside this morning. The service was very fast and the staff were friendly and skilled. I had the French toast baguette with the sautéed berries and my boyfriend had the Belgian waffles. They were delicious! Perfectly made and an awesome treat for a Saturday morning. The decor of the restaurant is lovely and the location is great for taking transit. The prices are very reasonable. I’ll be coming back for sure!

The vegetarian omelette was really really good! Seasoning was perfect, and the goat cheese was such a nice flavour to have in there. Potatoes were good. Generous portions too, I had trouble finishing. Will be back for more omelettes!

The Benedict is delicious! The waffles are dense and dry. The waiter is so lovely! The hostess not so much.

Nazaneen RaisDana

Today my wife and I went to Provence. Our waiters were quick and efficient. We ordered 4 items off the menu and we were pleased with our options. We had a great experience and would go back again. The chorizo scramble is really good with the potatoes they serve. They give a lot of add on selections you can choose for additional cost but we'll worth it. My wife liked the turkey sausage and loved the herbs that are mixed in. Thank you for a great experience.

Mira Filipovic

Came here on Valentines day and the food was perfect. Wonderful wine selection as well.

Lovely location near the sea and a False Creek water taxi stop, expensive and usually busy. Except to line up at popular times to get seated.

Yummy brunch but no weekend reservations. If you want to sit in the patio, be prepared to wait if it's a sunny day.

Marina side touristy destination provided great cocktails from friendly service. My friends had fresh oysters which the absolutely loved, and plan to go back for more soon. The food I had was more four stars...you can avoid the cold shrimp and crab offerings. The baked chicken was a speciality. It was not that special for me except for the delicious sauce that is served on the side with it.

Ignacio MD

Nice place by marina side, food was not as good as before pendamic.

Alberta Rose

We have been coming here for over 10 years. Always good service and excellent quality food. Gorgeous views of false Creek. Food is always delicious. Great fresh seafood. They have a new wine on tap system which is great and eco friendly. More higher end but very good value for the money compared to other restaurants at the same level. Love the dessert clafoutis. Sometimes we just come for dessert. Consistently high quality.

George Jian

Our favourite brunch spot in Vancouver. Great views, food and service. Also a great spot for breakfast meetings or special events.

we live in the neighbourhood and love the location but found the food to be terrible. the seafood risotto had shell in it and its replacement was so heavily salted and buttery that both my husband and i felt sick after just a few bites and i threw away the leftovers on the way home.

Evan Hildebrandt

Go for the pretty location and attentive service. Flashy suburban mansion decor and ugly outdoor furnishings. Good food similar to cactus club or Earl's. Great bartending and wine list. Gift cards only apply to the subtotal (you pay for the tip separately). This is an unnecessarily sharp practice and management must change this policy

Charlie Webley

We had the bouillabaisse, which was very good. Friendly, attentive service. Great ambience.

Mike

Great patio and a consistently awesome brunch. Good wine selection and the wine bar next door has a pretty awesome tappy hour as well

Food is always beautifully prepared and presented. Today I was there for breakfast at 8am. The wine bar has great happy hour and daily specials. Extensive wine list.

The food, service, view, location, everything was perfect. They gave us a free amuse-bouche and refilled the bread which was an excellent match with the juicy seafood platter. The escargot and frog leg was amazing too.

Kai Lin

We had Tapas like small bites and their take on the Canadian traditional poutine. Everything tasted good. They have a huge selection of wines and we tasted some really good B.C. ones which were recommended by the waiter. We had a fantastic time sitting outside looking at the boats. Excellent service overall!

Krista Robinson

Management is very unaccommodating and rude. They should find jobs where customer service is not required...

cory taylor

Great atmosphere. Service was great. The food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Nancy

Nice! Good place for some tastey food or brunch. The view is great as it is located by False creek. In the summer the place gets very busy but worth if it you sit outside. Drinks are good too, a decent selection of wine and tastey cocktails. The burger is not top notch and you can get much better burgers pretty much anywhere else in town. Fried calamari was delicious. Will visit again.

Alex Landry

Spectacular service. Excellent wine list. While they have incredible seafood, they also serve the best lamb I've ever had. While there isn't a dress code per se, I'd recommend dressing decent as it is in Yaletown, and well, you don't want to look like a schlub. ;)

We dined at this restaurant based on reviews, and we were very impressed. We had one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. The service was superb. Our server, Gayton (sp?), was personable and efficient. He made excellent recommendations, particularly on our wine. The food was fabulous. The presentation was beautiful, and the combinations on each plate were perfect.

Anh Mai

I was rejected for dine in because my physical ID does not have photo. I tried to show a digital ID with photo but did not work. Then the male host lost patience, tried to make me leave, and referred me as a “risk to the restaurant.”

Andy

The wine selection is amazing. They have made huge investments to ensure that they can keep dozens of wines open by the glass, without skimping on quality and details. Service can be a bit spotty at times, so we prefer to sit at the bar.

Aug 14, 2020 Lots of good reviews about this restaurant I've never been to . I see there looking for a dishwasher

Rachel Dana Mazzuchin Swiderski

Amazing!! One of the best dining experiences I have ever had in Vancouver. The food and service were both remarkable!! Food was served hot. Also one of the finest wine selections of any restaurant in the lower mainland. Also appreciate their support of British Columbia wines.

Jeremy Hoegee

Amazing food and service. We went during fine our Vancouver and was blown away by everything they had, especially for the price. Even if it had not been done out from what we saw on the menu the prices more than matched the quality of the food and service.

Naomi Tong

Great place for brunch. The food and coffee were amazing. I was hoping to sit by the window but it was occupied already but still could see the view through the windows.

ARJ

Relaxed and elegant. Staff are always warm. So many mains to choose from and a solid wine list. Neighbourhood gem.

No doubt this restaurant is the best Dine Out restaurant I have ever visited. If there is a list of best 3 out of 20 I will still rank here the No.1. Their stake filet still has flavour of grape wine which dissolves around my tongue right away. The French bread served with butter is warm, soft inside and crunchy outside. The desert of the day unexpectedly amazes me as well. And all in all, I’ll never forget who made my meal so satisfying - a waiter gentleman with moustache. $40 with 3 courses unbeatable. Thanks

Pavitra Ram

The service was impeccable. Our server Michael was so attentive to our needs. We had the crab cakes for appies, steak, lamb chops and lobster for main and dessert! They were all tasty and cooked well. Will definitely come back. service was impeccable.

We came for Sunday brunch around noon and were seated immediately fortunately. I ordered Shrimp Benedict ($15) which came with potatoes and fruit. It was my first time having a Benedict and it was delicious. There was a hint of sourness which I assume is the sauce. Table service was great, but a little slow. They were busy and it took a while for them to get our orders and later to get our check. I also never had my water refilled and had to drink from my fiance's cup. Our waiter was great though and even gave us a tip to make sure we didn't get sick from leftovers we take home. Parking here it seems can be a little though since there's no parking lot, so you might have to walk a bit.

Phillip

Great seasonal menu. Like their baguette french toast for breakfast and lamb shank for dinner. Great champagne selection if you're a fan.

T Pham

You could sit on the patio by the pavement (or even in one of those extended patios on the road on the other side of the pavement), or sit inside with no air conditioning during a heat wave. I suppose it's pretty hot in Provence in the summer too, so it's pretty authentic in that sense? It's fine. The food was all okay, but the cold centre of clafoutis that was not warmed all the way through suggests insufficient thawing and makes it feel like a heat n' serve that hadn't been heated and served quite right. Still, it tasted good enough.

Jeni Bond

Came for a nice dinner on the weekend. The food was excellent and atmosphere great. I would say the service was sometimes a little lacking because my wine glass went dry for quite a while right after dinner arrived. I will come back. Next time I will order a half L so I can top up my own glass.

3.5 .. the food was excellent, but the staff/service...something was going on with that. It was painfully slow, basic and we had to ask for water, which was only refilled after we asked because we saw our neighbours getting top ups. We sat for 15 minutes with our dirty plates in front of us before they were removed, then waited another 15 for our bill. We ended up being at the restaurant for an hour and 15 minutes. Fine for dinner, but we had a drink and brunch. The server told us as we left she was working 9am to 11pm, so I'm guessing maybe there's just a lot of burnout. We saw a lot of servers on the patio, a couple hostesses and bussers, so there wasn't a lack of people, just maybe they were feeling worn down and not on their best service game. I would go back but maybe to a winter evening service when things are calmer staff won't apparently be so knackered.

David Reeves

The beer served during happy hours this gone Sunday afternoon, was awesome, however the lady at the reception who made us sit at the reception waiting area was definitely not polite. We were asked if we were there for happy hours drink or dinner. Once we said happy hours beer, we were not let in the main seating outside or even inside area, but asked to sit at the waiting(shabby)sofa seat next to the entrance. Luckily, the male server who served the beer and brought the check was kind and polite that kind of made us not walk out.

Michael Allen

This would have been a lower review if not for the pandemic. I look forward to visiting this place again when things stabilize.... Service and food left much to be desired....

Allen Walker

very delicious food! i did their dineout i definitely would recommend this to everyone.

Sunny Wong

The food was not fine dining quality and not worth the price! The management was incompetent in resolving our issues we encountered. Such a shame when management ruins the experience by not rectifying simple fixes that other fine dining establishments would correct without delay.

Ly N

Ambiance, location and service is 5/5. The food is ambitious but unfortunately misses the mark every time. It’s simply not tasty or well done enough for these prices. There is always something off like the salad is too salty, the lemon tart is too sour to the point where my teeth hurt, the meat is cooked OK but not fantastic etc. Go for the views and the service but keep it simple with the food.

Peter Chow

My girlfriend and I as per our anniversary tradition had dinner here. I would recommend to have a reservation as the place fills up rather quickly. We had the warm goat cheese salad and seafood steamer. Both were topnotch and value for price is great. For the entree we had the halibut and the chicken and both were to our satisfaction. Although the chicken could do well with a tad less salt. For dessert we had the lemon tart which was a great balance to end a great meal. Both of us were stuffed to the hilt. The service was impecable. And the ambience of the place was just right for a romantic night out. See you next year provance. . .????

I went here for the first time for Dine Out Vancouver 2018. The food and service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place.

Valerie Zimmermann

Really enjoyed the breakfast and coffee here. Flavours were balanced well, as were the textures. Coffee had good depth and aroma. Wanted a seat outdoor with the views, but they were busy and didn't have a free table. The seating inside was comfortable, and still catches the occasional breeze from the waters. Staff there were very nice and accommodating. Will come back again to try other menu items.

Elaine Siu

Good food and good service, I will definitely be there again.

Went for brunch and really enjoyed the selection to choose from. Landed on their take of avocado toast. It was very nice, however, the bread was a little dry and difficult to cut through. I was full but otherwise would have ordered one of their house made chocolate croissants. Will possibly pick up one to-go in the near future!

Our dining experience at Provence was impeccable not only because of the food, and the also the cozy heated patio which held up beautifully (even in the rain,) but especially because of our lovely and intuitive server Walter who was at our side when we needed more wine and a good laugh. Waited 10 minutes for the menu and another 15 for someone to come take the order, until we decided to go someplace else. Although only 2/3 of the tables were taken, they never had time for us - "be right with you", "in a moment", "wait just a minute" were the answers we got from various waiters.

Went for brunch, great views from the front window where we were seated. Service was more or less just ok and the food was decent, had the salmon benedict.

Stephanie Lett

We were here last night and had a variety of seafood. Everything was amazing, as was the service. I would highly recommend the mussels and the mushroom ravioli!

The service here is phenomenal! The location is great and is a good place to start an amazing evening out. The food is OK at best, take it from someone that's lived in face for several years.

Good location. Expensive. Food is ok. Service ok. It is not the best in Vancouver. Went there twice with family. Not anymore.

My husband and I decided to come for breakfast on sept 03 around 9:20 am our server CARMIE is kinda racist not a good server as she never bother to check us after the runner run the food not busy at all oh shes kinda busy chatting with her guest on the corner and refill their coffee 2 to 3 times which i never get oh i get a refill when i call her for my husband water refill where done eating that time. Im a sever as well i know the job but i think because where asian her impression is we dont tip so shes ignoring us which i never do to my guest eventhough they dont tip you must do your job.my hubby doesnt want to tip her but i told him just give 15% still food is great kitchen and host did a good job only the server CARMIE is not to be called a server who just want tip.

B H

Nice, friendly staff. Good menu and reasonable prices. Great location.

Matt Audibert

Food is okay. Server was attentive and friendly. Manager - Lisa - who is also the hostess is incredibly pretentious and snotty. Made a joke right in front of us to a couple who were clearly "regular" customers about us not having a reservation. I live less than 100 feet from the restaurant so I didn't care much that we had to wait. And yes, we probably should have made a reservation but didn't. In the scope of life not really a big deal except apparently to her. We would have walked out right them but were waiting on a friend who we invited to lunch. Always makes me laugh when people who work in high end establishments - restaurants or stores - act as if they belong to the clientele when in fact all they do is serve them. That isn't a dis to those who work in those capacities. It's a dis to the phony attitudes and smug behavior. I've lived in this neighborhood for six years and know everyone in the 3 buildings right by the restaurant. I'll ensure they all know this story. Stay clear.

Akeena Legall

One of the most consistent and attentive staff in all of Yaletown and has been for the last couple years I have been coming. Staff is very alert and always in tune with the specific needs and wants of their patrons and is both discreet and unobtrusive when needed. The menu has worked well for them since their last refresh uplifted it from the traditionally heavy sauced french cuisine into a more modern plate while both lighter choices available. Come for the service, enjoy the menu, and on occassionally enjoy the live band.

A restaurant that is well past its sell by date. We visited here with our toddler a couple of weeks ago and as soon as we walked through the door I could tell the male host (older guy with glasses if the management wants to know) had an attitude. We asked if they had a high chair and he grunted and said he'd check. We sat down and waited for about 15 mins. Then the waitress came over to take our order. We asked where the high chair was and she said she didn't think they had any because of Covid (not sure why Covid prevents a restaurant from having high chairs!). She went and checked and sure enough they didn't. The host didn't come over to check on the high chair or apologise when there wasn't one. We had a quick drink and then left. Provence tries to position itself as a higher end restaurant and bar but the service and decor falls well short of that. It's a tired place in every sense of the word and is in desperate need of a refresh. There are plenty of better alternatives in Yaletown. I gave it 2 stars as the wine list was pretty good.

garritts

although you can find more similar ones in local, but i love the vibe in this restaurant at dinner time! cozy but comfy! will recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Once again, Provence Marinaside was an absolutely fabulous dinning experience. The food was cooked to perfection. The flavours were almost indescribably heavenly. The ambiance and view relaxingly beautiful Our server, Walter, was an absolute delight. His suggestions and the way he made us feel like old friends was a major part of an excellent date night . I can’t say enough good about the evening THANKS to all at Provence Marinaside.

Crab cakes were really fresh and you can taste the freshness of the vegetables used. Get the crab benedict. ????

Renee Andrews

Very tasty seafood platter and the first patio I have gone to that feels warm even when it's windy outside! I got the perfect seat right next to a heater and it was perfect, will definitely be back.

Exceeded my expectations with quality, price and views. Don't expect gourmet food, just excellent basic pub food.

Excellent food and atmosphere Pricey but really worth it. Had one of the best tuna dishes I ever tried Actually this should be 4.5 stars not 5 because the waiter was annoying and always trying to be funny but actually not

Ramneet Mann

The food was excellent and the service was good. I found it pricey for dinner (our entrees were about $40 each). I'd suggest the place, though, for special occasions. They had a set menu when we went for $60 and it was excellent.

Very good food and atmosphere despite patio only searing.

I’ve always had a good experience having brunch here, and for anyone with a sense of self-respect, even a little bit, I’d recommend ditching the line up culture next door and heading straight here for a good clean delicious brunch while being served by nice and genuine people.
