Had such an amazing night at Joey Burrard! Our server Sahjal took SUCH good care of us in the dining room. She allowed us to stay all evening, was extremely attentive, and even gave us a complimentary round of shots and champagne. One of the best experiences I’ve had at Joey!!

I had a great time here. The girlfriend and I went for happy hour, and were not disappointed. The food options for happy hour were awesome, drinks as well. I got the chicken sandwich, and the girlfriend got yam fries. Food came out quick and the girlfriend even said they were the best yam fries she’s had! Service was awesome and very quick. I will gladly return to this establishment.

Delicious meals served by an enjoyable staff member who managed to identify our common geographic origin with her just by our manner of speach. Food is decent (rice in paella was overcooked but taste was good; not the best piece of filet mignon but good flavour; lava cake good; butterscotch/raspberry mousse is not a mousse and the flavour is very shallow). Wannabe posh restaurant, so you pay a bit too much for what you get. The atmosphere is nice.

Amazing service, food, drinks, and vibe! Happy hour is amazing, I got a sangria for 5$. The waitress even gave me and my friend free shots! The food is also amazing. I got the hummus, my friend got the chicken flatbread, and I got the lettuce wraps. All three items were delicious. We sat in the lounge which was a more social lively area. They also have a dining room which is quieter. They also have a beautiful patio, but it was closed when I went. I will definitely be returning!

Beautiful place with an amazing environment, been here so many times. But today I’m sitting here and my server it’s the most disrespectful person, my boyfriend just waved trying to call her attention and she realized came to us with the must impolite face and after taking our order just went back to talk about us with her coworker. For me as a manager in a restaurant this a behavior that it’s not acceptable for a server I’m so surprised. Still it’s a good place to go with friends but my expectations about this place have changed.

2021 - Patio is all we can do nowadays and unfortunately some places are not being able to offer the quality they once had. We went for lunch on a nice sunny day and the drinks were lame, just not tasty at all. Very sweet sangria, no fruits but one single slice of orange, Moscow mule was not at all what’s supposed to be, didn’t come in the mug, which made it go warm pretty quickly and no fresh mint leaves either. Burgers are still pretty good but were not enough to up the experience. Cauliflower bites are not worth $10 AT ALL. And then in the end the host was too entertained talking to 2 girls beside us and turned on the heating lamp while we were still pretty hot in there, would’ve been nice to have asked. So we just got up to pay at the front and the lady missed our change by $10. We are usually very generous with tips and we did tip $20 but still we had to check back because she did miss the cash, not cool. The whole thing made us decide on never going back. 2019 - Lovely experience, very good sangria and big menu for happy hour.

The food was good a little on the bland side. The service was good but it took some time for us to be greeted. After that everything went smooth well. Have been here a few times, it is a little bit of a hit or miss place. There are times we have had a great experience here and other times not so much. However, they have a good food happy hour menu and the place is usually busy and has a good vibe.

Had a business lunch. Friendly hostesses and staff were also very attentive. The decor is fun and lively. Acoustics were perfect and not only was the food excellent we closed the deal!

It was ok. Servers took a bit of an extra time coming around, specially doesn't make sense when you have two assigned to our party. Anyways, on top of that the food was ok and the worst part was when they took nearly half an hr to get us or bills even after the we were done eating and the plates were even cleared.

Excellent place to be. The seating is good. All the attendants are so good and would suggest best things for you. They got good steaks. My favourite is Buddha bowl n she pretty in drinks. Chicken wings are also good. Trust me you would like it.

Usually have a positive experience when visiting any of the Joey locations however my second time at this location having really poor service. When arriving the host was not friendly and did not greet, I had to ask her how she was doing and engage her in the conversation. After being seated our server came by for a moment to say hello then vanished. We could see him setting up other tables and walking around etc. After about 10 minutes he came by and took our order, seemed quite nice. He brought over our wine then he vanished again, and did not come by during the entire duration of our meal. Someone else brought out the food, our food was finished and our wine was done and we sat around waiting for him to come back. Finally he came back, after telling him that it took a while for him to return he took one of our happy hour drinks off our tab, which was a nice gesture but at no point did he apologize or acknowledge that he had not come by even once. The restaurant was super dead as it was a Sunday afternoon. The food was good as always but the service was really poor, very unlikely to come back to this location.

Nice ambience and decor. Good music. Warm welcome. The food was great. I took tuna salad with peanuts and mango, and also truffle fries with Parmesan cheese. It was really good. Prices are fine for such a place and quality. The first waitress or host was smiling and was welcoming. Another tall blonde one didn’t smile at all and looked not too happy (either she had a bad day or she had some attitude, I am not sure). But otherwise, I liked the place.

Great service!! Everything was great from the very moment we walked in up until we left the building. We did come in during late night happy hour, and there was a very welcoming host that lead us to our table. Nicholas was our waiter and he was very kind, and genuine along with Philip who was another server that made the service exceed our expectations. With that said, the other servers who checked in on us were kind and just as helpful as well. Coming from Calgary, the service at this Joeys exceeded our expectations and we will definitely come here again next time we visit!

Really had a wonderful night! Food: Great!! Those steaks are mouthwatering.. Those crispy mashed potatoes are superb! Price: You are paying less for the food that gives you so much satisfaction! Staff: Very friendly. Will even suggest wines to take(for those who doesn't know about one). Location: Public transpo accessible. Street parking available. Recommendation: Definitely! Nachos are highly recommended. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. We went there with our baby girl and they have a very good high chairs that attached it to the table. We also ordered chicken parmesan which was good.

I had the cone sushi and the yam fries, along with the stoked vodka. Everything was quite enjoyable, esp the stoked vodka with the vanilla coke! The service was polite and prompt. Nice place to causally step into when shopping to re-energize.

NEVER EAT HERE... Horrible experience! We ordered california chicken burger and they came raw!!!! The chicken was raw inside! I got sick eating couple bites! Worse than that is how the manager handled the situation! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! They did not address the situation at all! On another note, the raspberries which came beside the desert had mole on them!!! This us BASIC FOOD QUALITY which wasnt met! HORRIBLE

Great place for a casual drink after work or dinner before the movies. I was pleasantly surprised by their lettuce wrap. The peanuts and chicken are well seasoned and goes along great with the lettuce. The peach bellini is good.

Especially if it happened that fast within eating the meal (8 hours literally nothing but their food in my stomach as I had an extremely busy day) that makes me feel like the kitchen is dirty.

My boss and I escape the office on Wednesdays to come here for half-priced wine. Rachel S, our server in the lounge side a couple weeks ago was absolutely amazing during lunch. She really went above and beyond just being our server. Very easy to talk to and laugh with while still being professional. We've been there countless times and she had given us the best service we've ever had. We now know to go on the lounge side on Wednesdays every time. Amazing!

I used to come here after working my night shift at the restaurant and I find their food to be good and diverse and the space is very modern upbeat and trendy. Their service is always attentive as well. I think that out of all the restaurants like Cactus Club, Earl's, Moxie's and Milestones, which I consider them to belong all to the same category, Joey stands out!!

A mid to up scale eatery. Went there during lunch, and had their tuna club for about $17 + tax/tip. It tasted very yummy, garnished with a sweet salsa sauce, and deep fried onions rings. Came with a huge portion of thin cut fries. There is a big selection of wine and local beers if you are interested in that. Their washroom had a unique faucet which has its own personal built in high powered air blower!

Went there with 2 other friends for dinner. We were told to grab a table ourselves. 2 of us sat down while 1 went to the washroom. We had to wave a waitress to get some menus and water. I clearly told the waitress there were 3 of us, but she only brought 2 water and 2 sets of menu. Our food quality was great but the service is simply unacceptable! When we asked for some more water, the waitress brought 3 extra glasses of ice water but my 2 friends had hot water to begin with?! It seemed like she was mentally checked out and did not care about us at all.

I've been to quite a few restaurants in Vancouver and I have to say Joey Burrard is definitely a good spot. The food is great and the staff are very friendly (especially Tasha!). The only reason I've given 3 stars instead of 5 is because I found Carly I think her name was, very rude, I had a small issue with my order (as I'm vegan) and she just gave me attitude as a pose to helping me. I'm not a picky person I just wasn't sure if the sauce was vegan or not. Anyways overall a good experience would definitely recommend.

I am a royal customer of this restaurant but if you want to experience this restaurant i think you should just go and have your meal inside the restaurant!! Because their packaging for delivery is absolutely terrible! Specially in this crazy time and situation (Covid19) ! when my meal has arrived it was completely out of the box and cold! the burger was unbelievably uncooked! and the fries was out of its container !

Came here for a party after work, this was my first visit to this establishment. At the start I was given the happy hour menu when at the very end turned out it wasn't happy hour. I even pointed straight at the $4 sign while ordering which the server didn't say anything about it. I ended up getting a sushi cone and yam fries. The food was okay, but the yam fries were very short and the quantity of it wasn't much. After receiving the bill the actually price of the sushi cone was $5 instead of 4 which is not bad HOWEVER, the yam fries was ALMOST $10.... Biggest rip off ever! The server just said opps sorry and told me this is a routine thing with the menus. I couldn't help but feel i got a slap in the face.

Also love the plant based menu items that have been added so there is something for everyone In our family. Back this week for another enjoyable evening. Nice atmosphere, nice menu selection. I come here quite a bit because my work friends come here. But the most annoying thing is the way they serve beers waaaaay under poured. This is not an isolated event. It is every time. When asked why I was told by the server it is to “lock the flavour in”. When ordering you have to be very clear that you want a full pour if you don’t want to get a beer like this!

I came to this restaurant a couple years back and didn’t have the best time. I am so happy that my friend convinced me to try it again because I feel completely different about it now. We came to Joeys a week ago before we left to go back to the island. I must say all the staff were very lovely but our server Erika completely made our night. We are vegan and we know it can be hard to go by certain dietary restrictions. Erika helped us through the menu and gave us options on certain items that we could make vegan even if they initially weren’t. It really felt like she had taken an interest in us and really felt like she cared. Her suggestions were great and we left happy. We will be coming back.

Busy like all restaurants at peak times and some servers find it challenging to hold eye contact but otherwise a great atmosphere. They've definitely poached some talent from Cactus. The food is phenomenal especially the Butcher's Sandwich with succulent rare prime rib and au jus aka Beef Dip. Will be back soon.

3.5 STARS A very nice looking restaurant with a good atmosphere, and a variety of tasty selections on the food menu. I very much enjoyed the drinks that I ordered from the respectable drink menu. Its got a good vibe and friendly greeting staff. However, though I've been here once, I unfortunately did not have an excellent experience like other people seem to have had on here. An issue of mine being that I felt that the food; while enjoyable, did not meet my expectations of the restaurant and as how my server described it to me. With that, my server was very friendly, but seemed to be overwhelmed with her other tables. She wasn't really able to checkup on me as a result, but another server was able help me a little.

Great food and decor. The service we received was impeccable. Only one small complain would the volume at which you will have to speak there, due to the music being played. Even the server seemed to struggle a little :) Other than that everything is perfect.

Every time I visit Joey's on Burrard, I always ask for Rachel S. She gives an exceptional service with her sincerity. You can definitely tell she loves doing what she's so good at. She is a great listener and caters to your best needs by going the extra mile to make sure you will have the ultimate dinning experience. My favorites are their hummus and pita dip appetizer (great for sharing) and I always end up getting an extra order of pita bread because I can't stop eating it! Another my all time favourites are their gyōza and chilli chicken. Writing this review is making me drool, I look forward tasting the food and seeing Rachel S. again soon.

Had reservations. Sat down and shortly after ordering our first drinks we were told there was a time limit and needed to be out in 1.5 hours. Service was so slow we managed to have a main and a drink and they basically needed us out. Pretty lame.

After the server offered me of an extra scoop of ice cream on my dessert, I was surprised to find that extra scoop itemized on my bill. It was outrageously expensive especially since I thought it was on the house. I brought the issue up with my server but my concerns fell on deaf ears. Though an immaterial amount for such a large group, my friends agreed that it cheapened our experience and that JOEY was a disappointing choice to end the night.

Tasty food but ....the management decide to charge me 18% fixed tip!!!!! (In the bill) because our table was 6 adults and 7 children and i feel that is not fare at all but i paid so we i didn't embarrass opposite my guests many tables was empty inside the restaurant shame on them...

Food was really really nice and service very efficient. It is little bit pricey, but interior of the restaurant is very nice. They have big garden with patio as well. Portions are reasonable sized. It is worth a visit.

So happy we decided to make Joeys our first place out of quarantine today. We felt totally safe and comfortable - everything was wiped down and masks were worn. Just ordered take out with a coworker, we usually go/order from Bentall One and our experience there is always great. My coworker ordered from this location by accident and we got the sliders and chili chicken with rice. The sliders were good as usual but the rice with the chili chicken was not good. Most of it was harden rice it was either old and reheated or over cooked. Pretty disappointed. The chicken was decent but needed a bit more sauce. I'll definitely only order from Bentall One next time.

We were looking for a quick stop for lunch and there were seats here so we grabbed them. I would have liked to have stayed longer however we were on a time line. The menu was comprehensive and the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. There was an extensive wine menu as well. The salad I enjoyed was exceptional! The soup my friend had was also very good. This is a very busy place at lunch and I would image all the time. Great downtown location. Would certainly visit again but with more time to enjoy :)

The worst service ever ! It seems like this location is busy regardless the latest closing. I did call earlier; server claimed 30 minutes wait. Once we are here, it turns to be 45 minutes… fine even though it is at 11.38 pm. The worst part is hostess is really mean. It happened once before. I thought she might have a bad day. My second visit, it happened again. What does it mean ? Oh! It meant the service standard her is really low.

This place used to be a regular hang for our crew before the food started taking too long to arrive and the servers started to lack in skills. The food is still delicious which puts me in a dilemma of coming back regularly. Good vegetarian options as well as great mains. Drinks are made well!

My wifes a chef and it's hard to go places that don't disappoint her. I'm not sure if they are a Steak house or a sushi bar as they try to combine both. Kate's dinner was great. Mine was not as good. Maybe my chef had an off night. I had a whiskey sour that I have at all the good restaurants we go to because it's a tough drink to make correctly and helps me rate their drinks. I got something that tasted more like a bitter whiskey drink. I was going to send it back but I toughed it out and drank it. Maybe the next time we here it will be better.

I have lived and worked downtown Vancouver and had ample time to sample many restaurants. They consistently deliver on professional, friendly, timely service. No matter the dish, it is always presented with a flair and great flavour combinations. Prices for this level of restaurant are surprisingly quite good. This location has always been good to me. Very good food and good service. The server brought us very generous glasses of wine just to taste between the two which was very nice. The food could have took a bit shorter time to get there but the food was still great. We were a little rushed towards the end as the restaurant was closing but overall a very nice atmosphere and good food.

Horrible! Just Ordered 2 crispy chicken sandwich with honey mustard kale slaw and comes with fries. I ate at Joey’s Shipyards many time before and the food was fantastic. This Joeys at Burrard not only didn’t deliver the same quality but it not even edible. The chicken was so dry almost burnt and they added way too many spices. The bun was soggy , tomatoes were not fresh and and they didn’t even bother making the honest mustard kale slaw! The fries is so overcooked and dry, it cuts inside your mouth! It’s like eating chips! I have had this same meal before at the Shipyards location and it was fantastic. This Burrard location is not up to standards. Totally waste of money and horrible experience.

We had a really great meal, our drinks were very well made ! Great job bar and kitchen ! Unfortunitely at the end of our stay the server then asked us what we were doing the rest of the evening and we told him it was our honeymoon we just got married! and he said oh u should have told me I would have gotten u two champagne and then said goodbye and left. We then felt we would still like that champagne please .. lol that would have been nice ... We were bummed after him telling us if we would have told him at the start of our meal then he would have gotten us the celebratory drinks.. but why didn't he ask us what we were celebrating ? or why do we only get a celebration drink at the beginning of our visit? Not at the end. Anyway we did have a nice time. Aside from the sad ending lol HINT : If you're celebrating anything even if they rudely dont ask u what you're celebrating that evening tell them why you're there celebrating at the Beginning of your dining experience. Not at the end apparently you're no longer celebrating after you've eaten at the restaurant ????

Joey comes highly recommended if you are after something that will keep everyone happy. The tables are spread a comfortable distance from each other and staff are genuine and offer friendly non-intrusive service. There is a good wine list and happy hour specials every day after 9pm. They've thought of small touches like coat hooks and the glasses of wine are nearly the same price by the bottle as by the glass. The roast chicken with bbq pork ribs is huge and the best value. Took a group of people visiting town. Food was ok; stake was cold and couldn't eat half it; 3 out of 5. Main issue was with parking. With so much advertisement they said they've covered our parking for the day; but the gate wouldn't open and had to go back; staff didn't know anything; took the manager a while to come with an explanation that no-one understood. Just looking bad in front of my guests; waste of time and above all I have no tolerance for false advertisement. No wonder the restaurant's empty. There are so many nicer places to eat in Vancouver, I'm sure I won't need to go back here.

Oh my Joey’s BBQ Salmon with brown rice is dreamy A very magical sauce, which the adequate sweetness of it mixed with the Smokey smell and taste of the perfectly made fresh salmon was such a great combination. The slice of salmon that was picked was great, too. It wasn’t too thick to overcome the sauce’s taste and not too thin to have just the rice to finish up the plate. The ratio of the seasoned freshly and finely cut vegetables, well cooked and tasty brown rice and the almighty salmon was great. All the ingredients were merged so delicately and balanced. I can keep on writing about the details of it but, I’d leave the rest that you will experience it in person. Just a piece of art ????

i love joey’s and it’s my go to restaurant for any special event. Whether it’s a birthday party or business meeting. However this time I was disappointed because it was my gf’s birthday and I had called in advance to make sure the server would bring a cake with happy birthday written on it. I waited and waited the waitress brought my bill but forgot about the cake. No problem I go to washroom and call them and say hey we’ve been waiting for the cake. Then they didn’t know which table we were even though when I had reserved the table I told them about the cake. I gave up and just went back out and left with my gf. All in all I hope next time they remember to tell the waitress or the waitress remembers.

Excellent food and great service. It's nice when the waitress takes the time to talk to you, even when they are busy, and not just take your order, never to be seen again. The food tasted great, and was perfectly prepared, though portions were a bit small for the price. The tuna salad is a must try item. Only downside is that it can be very noisy, especially during a sporting event. It was very hard to talk to my friends and it seems like every table around us was yelling to try to communicate.

Honestly I've never been to any of the Joeys in Vancouver and got mixed up with JOEY Bentall, silly me! Anyways, I was here to meet my friend G and had to wait a bit for a table. Both of us were cold from the weather, and the waitress heard us and helped us moved to another table. I ordered Chicken Parm with Garlic Bread and G had Ravioli with Lobster; food was great. Because I had Garlic Bread with my pasta I couldn't finish it all. I shouldn't have ordered Garlic Bread though. Despite the expensive price, I really enjoyed my food it was fresh and yummy. Garlic Bread was huge. Atmosphere was fantastic it's suitable for a date night and hangout. I was amazed by the stellar service and each every staff was attentive making sure we're doing good. Washroom interior was beautiful. Too bad I didn't take a photo of it. Thanks JOEY for the wonderful experience!

I was at Joey Burrard last night for my boyfriend's birthday and we had an amazing experience. Our server, Sydney, was friendly and attentive. She was busy but still made sure our drinks got out to us quickly. Our food came out in a timely fashion, and the presentation of the food was awesome (and it tasted wonderful too!). She chatted with us a bit and found out we were having a staycation for my boyfriend's birthday. At the end of our dinner, we decided against getting dessert because we were so full, so when she brought the bill she gave him a birthday card which was personally signed by her and a few other servers along with a gift certificate for him!!!! I have never experienced this at a restaurant for anyone's birthday and it added such a personal touch. Well done Joey Burrard and to Sydney who really made our experience worth writing about!

It was okay. The service was fine but nothing memorable, fell off towards the end. The food is fine, but again nothing memorable. It's a typical chain along the lines of Cactus Club and Earls. I expected the food and interior to be better based on what I saw online. I prefer Red Robin's because it's a similar night out for less money. I chose this place because I couldn't get same day reservations at the places I really wanted to go. A common problem in Vancouver it seems.

I ordered a shrimp lettuce wrap. It consisted of lettuce, wonton noodles, and a few shreds of carrot and green onions. No vegetables to speak of, plus the shrimp was so undercooked it was translucent. I paid $20 for part of a head of lettuce, and wonton noodles with shrimp. I've had lettuce wraps before from other places and so I figured I could trust this dish as being good just for the fact of being professional competitive with a similar chain. Obviously I was wrong. Yam fries was another item in our order and the portion was very small. It was such a disappointing Friday night special dinner.

This evening my partner and I went for our usual chicken parmesan at Joey Burrard we always sit in the lounge but this evening ate in the dining room. Our experience was completely different , so much better . We had a young gentle serve us, Charles provided the kind of service not often found in high end restaurants let along the reasonable priced restaurant that Joey's is. We'll be back again soon but next time will be back in the dining room and hopefully Charles' section. Tonnight Dec. 20 2020 Burnt chicken parmesan and a very poor customer service response. We made a Canada tour for 3 weeks which started and ended in Vancouver. At the beginning we had dinner at Joey Burrard and we really enjoyed the food (especially the Spaghetti Pomodoro ????), the drinks and the perfect service in particular. For that reason we decided to spend our last evening (yesterday) at the end of the tour again in that place. We had a really great evening - also due to the nice waitress we had (blond plaited hair). Thank you for that!

Be careful when you order from door dash, this location treats drivers like they are scum and have zero urgency in getting prepared food to the driver. I have waited as a driver for 10 mins with your food just sitting on a bench thru a window trying to get anyone on their staffs attention. It's almost like people who order online are not a paying customer because the servers aren't getting tipped. I have seen drivers get tickets while trying to get the attention of the staff. So if your food shows up at an unsatisfactory temp when the driver arrives, just note that there is a very good chance they had no control over that.

Upon arrival, the hostess at the front to be seated was very rude when I was the one who did the greeting when that is part of her job. Our presence seemed like a hassle. We just wanted a table or a seat at the bar for drinks for two people. We were told it would be a 40 min wait in a very unpleasant tone. I went to the T.O. Location, the food and the service was great. I came to this location (Burrard) and it was ok. The food was good but the service was horrible. Nobody bothered to even ask us whether we wanted anything to drink...let alone get us water...we had to wait over 10 mins before WE flagged someone down to get us water. The place wasn't even busy. We had to ask multiple times where our drinks were. On top of all that, my cutlery was dirty. There was a chunk of food crusted on it...not sure how you missed that..Won't be coming back here..not to this location...the other locations are probably better...

A good spot for dinner and drinks. The food is pretty decent and the venue is trendy. The waitresses are quite pretty, but late night, the service is absolutely abysmal. You can wait upwards of 10 minutes for a single drink when the restaurant is empty. It has good prices for happy hour but it's hit and miss for service, hence the 4 stars.

What an unfriendly establishment. Their window lists the Friday lunch menu as 11-something, but they told me in person lunch isn't served until 11:30 and turned me away. I pointed out the window as I exited. Perhaps the hostesses don't know when their restaurant opens? Or they need to change their window? In any case, I got the feeling they didn't want me as a patron and I won't try to be one in the future.

The waitress was great, checking in just often enough. She was polite and made recommendations on the beer, enjoyed two lagers. Would recommend. The maple ice cream on the apple pie is definitely worth trying. The cobb salad was a little underdressed but otherwise very good. The dip for the truffle fries is also too small for the portion size of the fries even dipping conservatively.

My steak kit was canceled with no explanation. With 2 kids and a wife expecting to be swept off her feet on the 1 day she looks forward to(mother's day), I was extremely stressed. Worst location ever. Had a reservation for 3 people, called (at 230 pm) and asked if adding 2 more people would be ok and the man who answered the phone said that was fine and made a note of it. The reso was for 630 and we called again at 620 informing them that we were on our way just stuck in traffic so the girl who answered said that was fine and said she made a note of it as well. We made it by 640. So we talk to the host and right off the bat she was extremely rude. She said “take these 3 to their table” I presumed to say that it was 5 in total and we had called to ask if that was alright and it was fine, she rolled her eyes and mouthed “really” to the girl beside her. She then continued to say “well your reso was for 630..” and she continued to have a smerk on her face. I said that I called 20 minutes ago explaining we would be a bit late and the person I spoke to said that was totally fine. She then rolled her eyes again and kept sighing. I work in the industry as well and have never had an experience like this ever. I will never go back to this location it is by far the worst. Go to bentall or Coquitlam where the service is 100 times better. The only good thing was the manager on duty at the time who I spoke to and got us a round of drinks. I honestly hope that host gets a major talking to because the amount of disrespect from her attitude was insanely disappointing.

The worse experience I ever had in a restaurant!!!! We visited the restaurant last Saturday and we were 5 of us. They brought the food to 3 of us, me and my son had to wait for more then an hour to have the food coming, looking at the ones at our table eating their food... The waitress apologized, she said that me and my son will get free desert.. but at the end we got only one free desert and in top of that they charged me extra for 2 meals I never ordered (2 HH California club). Of course I payed and left 18% tip. I noticed that they charged me extra and she said that somebody will contact me soon (1007 Kassi W, Tbl 101/1, Chk 956). I was never contacted by anybody from that restaurant!!!! What a shame. I recommend to stay away from this restaurant!!

My server was kind but service was slow. It took quite a bit of time for the food to come out of the kitchen, ordering took longer then I thought it would be since it wasn't very busy and lastly it took a while to get our bills and paying as well; when the bills came we waited about 20 minutes for the server to come with the machine and another 20 before we just left our money on the table and just left the restaurant instead of getting change back which was disappointing and we grew impaciant.

We caught the eye of Milen who turned out to be the Assistant General Manager. Not only was she extremely hospitable and apologetic she even gave us a complementary meal for the inconvenience. The food was excellent and this special touch made our evening very special. Yesterday my friends and I had plans to go to the beach but in true Vancouver fashion we got rained out. Our backup plan was happy hour on a patio and we couldn’t have made a better choice than Joey’s. Our waiter, Chase, was so attentive and fun and he made the experience really special. He gave us all his tips for the best Supers (if you know, you know), blind taste tests of the rosé, and took care of all our needs. We’ll definitely be back.

Looking at the menu options I wasn't really impressed and almost decided to go somewhere else but the fact that they cover some of the parking expenses enticed me to stay. My girlfriend and I ordered the chicken burger and the salmon sushi to share. Maybe it was because I had low expectations, but the food was actually quite delicious. My colleagues and I placed an order with JOEY via Skip the Dishes, and after a half an hour, JOEY canceled the order without explanation and removed themselves from Skip the Dishes as a restaurant. When I chatted with Skip, they said that usually only happens if a restaurant is closed, which for noon on a Friday in downtown Vancouver seemed unlikely. Then, about 20 minutes later, JOEY showed back up on Skip the Dishes, so we re-ordered and the same thing happened again. Ultimately, we ran out of time for lunch because JOEY took over an hour to cancel 2 orders and never filled either. Frustrating.

We really enjoyed our meal at Joey’s last night. I had the hummus and chilli chicken and it was delish! Our server, Rachel, was great! She was super friendly, very attentive and did an excellent job explaining and recommending menu items. This was our first dine in experience since the pandemic started and I have to admit, I was feeling a bit nervous. This was my second time visiting this location and both time I’ve been pretty disappointed. The server was nice and all but kept messing up my order. My order came out wrong twice. By the time I got the right order everyone else had finished eating. The service isn’t all that great here compared to the other locations. Best part is when I got the bill she had charged me twice for the same order! When I inquired about it she told me it was because I ordered it twice (even though I was only given 1 dish as the other ones were wrong) she did eventually take 1 order off my bill. Not sure if I would give this location another try which is too bad considering the food is good!

I usually love going to Joey's, but was quite disappointed by my latest visit. The food seemed to be a bit off, and wasn't at the usual standard I expect from Joey's. Unfortunately, the service is what really disappointed us tonight. I had to try and get the attention of servers at more than one point, and our own server didn't even introduce themselves or show much interest in our table. While he wasn't rude or off-putting, he was noticeably absent. I'm hoping this a one-off experience - it would be quite sad if this is a trend.

The food and drinks are high quality, the waitlist system is quick and effective (plus they have plenty of comfortable areas to sit while waiting), and the service is amazing. I want to give it 4 or 5 stars because the food was excellent, including some of the best hot wings I've ever had. But the service was terrible. From the time we ordered until the time our main courses arrived 65 minutes had passed. We had to ask for a steak knife for our steak, and a serving spoon for the lettuce wraps. There was a large table beside us, and it was quite evident that they were the priority of our server. After all that, when we paid, the minimum tip percentage on the debit machine was 18%. She barely deserved 8%, let alone 18%. So she got a $40 tip, for 5 minutes of mediocre service. Food was 5 stars, service was 2, at best.

Came here on a sunday arounf 5 with my husband and 9 month old son. We ordered an entree with a rush order which came out quick so that i could feed my son. We also ordered a bunch of appetizers. I began feeding my son and he was hungry! He was enjoying his dinner until the server brought our beers and then spilled mine into his food and all over the table. By the time they replaced his meal he was so cranky that he didnt want to eat anymore (which as a mother is stressful as f*%$). That incident put a damper on the rest of the evening. Our server didnt even know that happened. She charged us twice foe the entree until i explained to her why there were two entrees, in result i got her to take off both of them as my son didnt even eat anything. She was nice about it. But one thing - if you're serving a table you should check up on them and see if everything is going well. Oh another downside to this location - they provide booster seats but they DONT have a change table anywhere. So pretty much - feed your kid, let them sit in a wet diaper and leave. I had to change my sons diaper in the trunk of my truck. Because of this non kid friendly atmosphere my son, my husband and i will not be returning anymore.

I decided to come to Joeys for happy hour and dinner. We had the buffalo chicken wings, calamari and also the steak and fries to share. Everything was ok. Nothing outstanding. Just basic chain style food. The espresso martini was the highlight of the night. It was bitter and sweet at the same time and the froth on top really finishes it off nicely. Our server was also very friendly and smart on his feet. He noticed whenever something was missing or if something needed to be replaced without us even mentioning it. All in all would go back to Joeys for a casual night out. Place is not too loud and the drinks are well priced.

Vancouver is no longer my home base, but whenever I'm in town I always make a point to make a date with Joey's and order their yellow fin tuna salad (with extra dressing!) It's one of my favourite salads ever, and it's easy to see why - perfectly seared tuna, avocado, mango, cucumber, peanuts and Asian inspired ginger dressing. From the service to the style, Joey's is a premium chain restaurant that I really enjoy.

I’m giving this place a 1 star only because of their customer service. I tried to get a reservation for a big party of people around 6 days in advance. I called them the first time and was asked to leave my name and phone number and that someone would call me back within the next 24 hours. The next day nobody called me back so I called them again was pht on hold for 10 minutes only to be asked the exact same information again. They once again told me that somebody would contact me the next day. A few minutes later I received a phone call suggesting that I email the lady responsible for making reservations and that she would get back to be sooner than 24 hours. I emailed them with all my info, the date of the reservation and the number of people and have yet to be contacted after 2 days that have passed. It’s so disappointing to see that they don’t care about their customers and I really hope that somebody fixes this problem asap!

I had a terrible experience at the Burrard location last week and am offering my feedback as a gift. Here is a short overview of my experience: - drink served in chipped glass - 2 of 4 side plates were dirty - server laughed and said it was a busy day - tuna in sushi roll tasted "off", and very different from the tuna in the poke bowl; when we gave feedback to one of the line managers, she responded by saying "oh that's interesting" - had to ask server to remove the drink and sushi roll from the bill - credit card machine had a minimum 18% tip option - given the experience I didn't want to give any tip - total bill for this "experience" was an outrageous $170 for 2 adults / 2 kids people (only 2 drinks on the bill) - after leaving, I went back to talk to another line manager about the experience. She apologized profusely and said she would take care of things for me. After waiting 25 minutes, she offered me a gift card for $100 so I could return again. I suggested that she should first take care of my bill. It wasn't about the money, but about the principle. She said she understood, but didn't know how to credit back the bill to me. Seriously? - The line manager called the MOD (Casey) to help. She was immediately helpful. She offered me an additional gift card of $200. She took my credit card info so your accounting department could credit back the cost of the meal. I gave back the original $100 card as I insisted this wasn't about the money. - After 5 days, I still haven't heard from the restaurant on refunding my card.

Food menu and quality is good we all enjoyed our meal. It's nice the restaurants are opening up again amid the Covid-19 crisis and Joey Burrard made us all feel safe and that our space was respected. I don't usually leave reviews, but you always hear the bad stories, and rarely when the business did a great job. Props to the server and manager for going above and beyond today at lunch ~12:30pm. I made the mistake of ordering a chicken sandwich instead of the chicken salad I thought I was ordering... (I was pointing to the wrong thing) I decided the chicken sandwich was good and I was happy to take it, not to be a fuss... But they insisted that, even though the error was mine, they would make good on it. Their behavior adds new meaning to the old saying "the customer is always right".... (even when the customer was clearly wrong). Great work, Joey Burrard, I'll be back for more lunch meetings.

I called the restaurant, and the hostess apologized and said the manager will get back to me the next , which never happened. Overall, okay to eat in, but double heck your order for takeout. Was here last night after the fireworks to grab some food. First time at Joey and absolutely loved the lettuce wraps. Our server derrek was great! up until we ordered dessert everything was a solid 5star. But our togo dessert took a long time to come which I would let slide it was a busy night but once I got home and started to eat the lava cake I almost threw up because it was sooooo salty. I never waste food no matter how it is but I could not even eat a second bite of that cake. Immediately threw the whole thing out. Now theres $10 wasted along with the food.

When we finally got it I asked him to split it and was greeted by annoyed grunt. After that he still didn't bother to come back to us to get payment, so scraped our cash together although we wanted to pay by card. Not nice to be left unattended like that. Won't be returning.

I’ve been here a few times but I feel that the food is very average and not really something wow for me. It’s definitely not my first choice but I don’t mind going if friends ask. I had Herb Crush Salmon, Crispy Tofu Bowl, Bombay Butter Chicken. They’re all ordinary for me. The staff is nice and a nice place to hang out although it gets a bit loud sometimes so it is not really a place for chatting if that is what you are looking for.

Ordered takeout and was disgusted by the presentation and taste. The sushi was all messed up and the ketchup packets had some sticky goo on it. Double checked and it’s not the sauces that leaked. Not sure if ur workers even wash their hands? The hand pressed burger was equally disappointing, it had no flavor at all, didn’t taste a hint of salt or pepper on the patty. Never returning to joeys.

Not only does she anticipate everyone’s needs, but even though she is REALLY in the juice, she is smiling and doing the extra mile that you did not even think about. Came here for late night snack on a week night. The restaurant is huge with a large patio. Understandably most of the restaurant was closed but the area open was still reasonable. Sliders were hands on best I have had so far in town. Truffle fries were very good too. Both should be on any menu! Drinks were good but a bit watery; not sure if that was a happy hour thing or just the norm. They did taste good though and were priced well! I can see people becoming a regular at this place specially when the patio is open again; right in downtown with reasonable parking rates and great food.

Very cute vibe. They had really good accommodation for seating infants at the table. The little girl we came with actually loved the seat (its usually really hard to get her to sit in one of those). Slow to get acknowledged even to wait to get a table, seemed there wasn't enough staff. Sat down, slow to be served. Steak wasn't correct, took 30 minutes for them to fix it. Felt very disconnected and service staff wasn't great. They ran out of fries and used a local company but didn't cook them properly then gave me a salad instead but charged me for the extra salad and tried to comp a drink? Strange...

This was our final trip to Children's hospital in Vancouver. We made it our tradition to go to Joey on Burrard. The food is excellent. The staff is one of the best. Great night last night at JOEY Burrard! The food was amazing and our server Chase went above and beyond to make our anniversary one to remember. Not only was chase attentive to us, but the entire patio was getting a 10/10 experience. Chase was very knowledgeable with the menus and made it easy for my partner, who has sever allergies, to navigate the menu and select a meal he felt safe to eat! We ended our night with this adorable “ I Love You” cake! Thank you for an amazing night; we will definitely be back!

I am extremely impressed by the level of customer service and appreciation this business has for its customers. In addition, the food is extremely delicious. We tried their pesto shrimp flat bread and it was one of the best flat breads I have ever had. The floor manager Charles and our waitress Brook were so friendly and welcoming and made our experience worth a million bucks. Went for dinner with the family. We eat out at restaurants 2-3 times a week. Jake was our server. Hands down, excellent top notch service!!! He was attentive, provided good recommendations and ensured our dining experience was a pleasant one. The food was great, but most importantly I will return given the excellent service provided. I didn't have a great experience here. I came in yesterday for happy hour for the first time. My friend and I were seated pretty quickly and got the menus. We were sitting around for about 10 minutes (the place is not that busy) and no one had come to the table so we waved over our waiter. He took our orders and left. We get our drinks and appetizer and it's not great. The drinks didn't taste good and the truffle fries are kinda cold. I don't like confrontation so I shrug it off. Maybe the drinks are supposed to taste like that. We haven't been brought water either so we have to ask our waiter to bring us water. When we get our mains, they were quite good. I got the burger and salad and my friend got this chicken salad. Both tasted great. I finish my water but no one comes around to fill it up. We finish our meals and ask for separate bills. My bill is wrong and had to be corrected. Maybe we came on a bad day but I wouldn't come here again especially since there is a Cactus Club across the street (which I've been to twice and both times the service and drinks have been great). I'm not a picky guy when it comes to service too but I think the bare minimum is getting water and refilling it. My friend said she came here before and had a better experience but I don't think I'll risk it again. 2 stars since the mains were very good and the ambiance is nice.

The waitress striked a conversation and was attentive to our needs (eg. Refilling our glasses without us having to constantly ask). Would definitely come back here again. I sincerely hope that this message reaches the attention of the General Manager. I want to say how absolutely blown away I was by the service my sister and I received this afternoon at Joeys on Burrard. My sister flew in from Ireland to visit me today (I’m Irish & have been living here for three years). Understandably, we were both so excited to be reunited and truly Joeys is a fave spot of mine (I dined with my girlfriends last Sunday there too, service was great then also). Now, I was sure to get these two ladies names before I left- Danielle and Julia (one was a blond hostess, the other was our server from the U.K., not sure which is which). The hostess asked why we were dining today as we arrived, and after explaining, we were given complimentary champagne. Throughout our meal tonight both the server and hostess came to check on us and were both so absolutely genuine. Then, as I joked that I wanted my sister to stay, and that I’d be heartbroken after she left to fly home, our server brought us doughnuts on a board with a wonderful message written on it. It had us both in tears. I have never had such a wonderful dining experience in my three years of living in Vancouver. It was so nice that my sister asked me if I had asked your staff to make a fuss of her. I hadn’t. Really and truly, those two ladies made her first day here on her holiday all the more special, and I can’t thank them both enough. I have a list of restaurants around Vancouver that I want to take her, but I’ll be bringing her back to Joeys again before she leaves, and definitely on her last evening here too. Please thank them again on our behalf, but truly I wanted to highlight what was a wonderful experience. The server was so lovely as we were leaving too. Both of them were. I would not so much recommend going if your not gonna drink or go during happy our as its considerably more expensive and in my opinion not worth the price. First of all Joey Burrard has one of the most amazing patios downtown and have 100% followed covid dining protocols both inside dining and patio dining . Service is always identical every visit with 5 star customer service from walk-in to leaving after an amazing meal,, some exceptional/beyond exceptional past servers I have had great experiences from and come to mind are Abby, Danielle, Stef, Nicole ,Omar, Rachel, Morgan, Jessica in the lounge area and many others????,, also I have ordered take out many times through covid through door dash and have picked up many times when I was in the area,, every order was always bang on correct and presentation very good with sustainable packaging and no sogginess ,, my crispy mash potatoes appy were always crispy upon arrival from DoorDash delivery and California chicken club was as good as dining in person,, a big hats off to Nada who has exceptional customer service skills on the phone when taking my takeout order many times with a kind warm and very patient attitude and always a big smile upon pickup,, I have had several times when I called for off sales like a case of corona and her extensive knowledge of products available on the phone was amazing! If you ever plan to order your Christmas Turkey or Easter dinner takeout family feast for the holidays or long weekend I recommend ordering early as it sells out quickly especially Christmas ,, fortunately I was able to get in early on the Easter Turkey meal and food didn’t disappoint and was the best I’ve order to date for holiday feats ,, instructions were very clearly labelled and explained and boxed up nicely , Turkey was perfectly tender , salad to die for and although I rarely eat Brussels sprouts these are amazing with the Parmesan sprinkled on top, hand made mini apple pies with Vanilla bean ice cream much better that Mario’s with leftovers the next 2 days. Because location was closed Easter for a bit orders were diverted to Bentall and still very organized with many people coming in from both locations. I was presented with my takeout box from one of the chefs so big thanks to Bentall also. Thanks again to all the staff for staying open for us foodies during covid and having online grocery orders last spring when restrictions hit,, I look forward to my next visit !

Came in the other night and was served by Casey. Haven't gotten to go out in a while and she was very accommodating and a pleasure to be around through the whole experience . Atmosphere of the place was very fitting as well, she recommended the steak and salmon sushi press and it was excellent. Average restaurant with a variety of different types of food. The slow cooked chicken with mashed potatoes was probably the best thing on the menu. A group of us visited and orded a few different things. We got the Calamari - which was horrible, the calamari itself was small and the breading was dense and it was overcooked and chewy, Lobster Ravioli - not bad but could have been more flavorful, the Salmon Aburi Sushi - good flavor but the quility of the sushi rice and how it was cooked left much to be desired, Steak Frittes - simple dish, not badly done and finally the Curry Noodles also a good dish. Overall nice ambiance and establishment however the service was deplorable, the the food was average, nothing to write home about.

Visited yesterday with two friends. Had the Farmers Salad ($23.00) was good although the portions were very small. We had the salad at this restaurant a month ago and it was much larger. The portions were smaller possibly because more people are coming out and being busier they can reduce portions and charge more. $23.00 for a small salad is crazy. Also the waitress was snooty. Didn’t come back and check on how the food was and not friendly at all. At the end when my friend went to pay the bill with a gift card she remarked there was enough to pay the bill but not to cover the tip. He told her never mind he would take care of that and she rolled her eyeballs. His intention was to leave the tip in cash. It was not the good experience that we had on our previous visit.

The food was decent, as you would expect with this franchise. The service was quick and courteous. As we had missed a ferry and were arriving late, we called ahead and inquired if children are allowed past midnight (we're on vacation and still need to eat). We were told that children were welcome, but when we arrived, we were seated in an empty closed dining room. 6 feet away there were booths available in the lounge area, but we were told we weren't allowed to be there with a child. I wish we were told we woukd be sitting alone in a dark dining room when we called. Not what weimagined for our last night in Vancouver.

I came here for my moms 50th birthday, and I must say, I have been looking for a restaurant like this, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious and it came out so fast, and we made it for happy hour and the drinks were so cheap and delicious. I deliver doordash and the hostess team are nice when I arrive. I appreciate restaurants that keep there cool when I pick up as so many of them are rude. I rate my merchants on how they deal with my pick up and I'll give them 5 stars for having a smile a good sense of humour because I was a bit flustered packing my bag up. This Joey's has a nice team as the place is quite rocking most nights. If your at a hotel near by the bar is one of the best off Robson.

Took my son for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Their Covid protocol is great, there service was beyond exceptional. Thank you to our server Omar who went above and beyond making my four year old feel like a real big boy and talking to him directly at his level. The layout of the restaurant was a bit awkward. Modern, friendly service, but food was average for Vancouver. It was also a bit pricy for the overall quality. I also found the volume to be too loud. Would be nicer if it was quieter! Overall nothing stood out for me.

Today, June 12, 2020 my friend and I stopped in at Joey's on Burrard. We were welcomed, seated quickly and received the most amazing, attentive service! Our server, Erika deserves to be recognized for her sincere and thoughtful efforts. Thank you Erika for making our evening fantastic!!!! Now, to explain how DELICIOUS our food was..... EVERYTHING on our plates was FRESH, DELICIOUS, JUICY....we had the HAND PRESSED HAMBURGERS....with EVERYTHING ON TOP...including gooey melted cheese, perfectly fried ample mushrooms and smokey bacon, purple onions and the tastiest fries! The food was sooooooo good that we didn't speak until we had inhaled the last morsal! It was an AMAZING burger! This was our first time at Joey's..... already looking forward to the next visit! Clean, comfortable, pleasant environment with an easy going vibe. When the staff learned that it was my friend's birthday, she returned with a special birthday FROZEN LEMONADE AND RASPBERRY PUREE WITH WHIP CREAM.....my friend almost fell into the glass trying to slurp out the last molecule of drink!! My friends and I flew in from Toronto for my friends birthday a couple of weeks ago. He wanted to come here and I was a bit sceptical but SO glad we came. Start to finish was a great experience. The entire staff were lovely and our server Erika made sure we had a great time. By the end of our dinner it felt like she was part of our group. We loved her! Her recommendations were spot on. Even the manager stopped by the table to say hi. Great group of people. If you come in to this place make sure you get the crispy mash potatoes. They are to die for!!

We had a great experience a the Joey on Burrard. Glass of champagne offer when we were waiting for the table, really nice and efficient service, my vegetarian farmer market salad was perfect!! I thought at the beginning that just lettuce with a couple of avocado and beets on the top but they was so many hidden under the leaves!!!! Only negative point, the players too loud and not good.

We must have hit it on a bad night. Usually better. Main issues: 1. service was very slow and sparse. 2. Our steaks were ice cold as were the fries 3. No one finished their mains - the bowls were soggy and odd. Not the usual standard. 4. The furniture was worn out and dirty when we got there. The good: 1 the garlic bread. 2. Decent wine and drinks 3. Paying the bill online The total hit was close to $250 and we left unhappy with it all. After waiting for the bill for ever we settled up online without a word said to us. Went elsewhere to finish the night. Like I said, normally better, but this was a fairly disappointing experience.

Best steak in Vancouver that won't cost you a fortune, but that's not even the best reason to go here. The atmosphere is dope with a live DJ spinning on the weekends, but that's not the main reason to go either. Their crispy mash is the best style a potato could be made. Well done! Unfortunately I had a poor experience here due to the staff at this location. Upon entering, the hostess did not make eye contact with me once and was whispering something and looking down. I had no idea what she was saying. I'm assuming something about my table? She then walked away so I assumed that meant follow her but again had no idea as I could not hear a word she was saying and I was unsure if she even spoke. At our table we had average service, average food, and above average prices. Everything was okay until after paying the bill, the server came to lecture me about tipping culture and the expectations in Vancouver. Keep in mind I did not pay, so I'm not sure why he was telling me this. He asked if there was a problem with the service and I said no as I didn't feel comfortable bringing up the hostess encounter as I did not want to get anyone in trouble. He then lectured me about tipping and a tipping pay-out. He shared he is losing out and has to pay out of his pocket for my experience. I explained how I am not from Vancouver. He then continued his lecture, and seemed to be expecting me to tip him which I did not because I did not appreciate the lecture. I found it extremely impolite and unprofessional. I came out to have an enjoyable experience, not be to lectured by my server. I have never experienced anything like this at any other restaurant I have been to. I then felt extremely uncomfortable and left the restaurant immediately. I'm hoping no one else has to experience anything like this. Tipping culture is bonkers to me and it really seems to be getting worse. We are subsidizing wages and allowing employers to pass the buck onto customers. The system is broken and really needs an overhaul. I find the expectation to support a clearly unfair and broken system that encourages worker exploitation quite ridiculous. Ultimately, I would love everyone to be paid a living wage.

My server was good and on the ball but in the end she got a bit busy not her fault. Still checked up on me. What I didn't like was how the other server was coming with water and I made eye contact and she noticed me, she only gave water to her table and just completely by pass me like ignore me and walked passed me when I said smiled and said thank to her thinking she was giving me water. I found that was pretty rude. It was just water nothing big I was asking. Server shouldn't only care about their tables just cause from other tables they arent getting a tip. You want more and more customers come back. Manager shouldn't look into that and talk to all servers

Food is 5+ star, awesome ahi tuna sandwich - strongly recommended. However I have to give 3 stars because: 1. Server totally forgot us when ordering food and it took at least 15 mins to have the machine for payment when there were only 3 tables and at least 2 waitress. 2. We ordered whistler mountain larger, but got HH sth larger. Sorry if they are the same, but I doubt it. 3. Happy hour drink is $4 on the menu, but $4.25 on the bill.

substandard service, untrained staff. we stayed for drinks but decided to order take away as we were staying at the hotel across the street. The server brought one order and we had to wait at least 15 minutes for the second order. then we had to wait another 5-10 minutes to pay. They mixed up the orders after we asked to make sure and the food was cold, I will not go back to Joeys. I would recommend anywhere of the many restaurants nearby. Very disappointing to say the least, and they seemed disinterested , and they were out of many beers listed on the menu. I want my tip back - boo!

I came here for dinner yesterday with my mother and unfortunately was really dissatisfied with the service. We came to the restaurant around 5:30pm and was sat near the kitchen. The waitress we had is in need of further training. First, when we were ordering our meal she was leaning against the table with her arms pointing at items on the menu. During these covid times, it made us feel really uncomfortable and it was also unprofessional. Second, my mom asked her for a beer recommendation and she responded by saying “sorry she doesn’t drink”. My mom ended up not ordering beer. Third, I asked for a vegetarian Buddha bowl as I do not eat meat products and was presented with a big piece of chicken. It was a big turn off and I had to wait for my correct meal after my mom had already finished her meal. The Buddha bowl was tasty but I honestly didn’t get to enjoy my dinner with the poor service I received. I really regret not speaking with a manager yesterday.

It was out first time at this place yesterday. The vibe was good. I have been to so many restaurants before but never had such horrible experience.I understand that it was busy but the customer service was horrible. We ordered drinks and appy’s. We got our food before our drinks and i got my straw after 20 mins of getting my drink. No one came back to check on us. Their chili chicken was way tooo sweet , which the server offered us to get it remade when i called her after half an hour of getting our food. Then we ordered our mains, which apparently took more than 30 mins. It was not worth waiting for. Our server never came to check on us. We wanted to order some desert but we sat there for 30 mins literally looking around for someone to notice us. The staff kept walking by us and when our server kept on checking other tables giving them drinks except us and i looked at her and she sent someone else to us to ask us if we were doing ok after sitting there for an hour looking around so she could finish her conversation with the other server at bar. DISAPPOINTED!!!

Marinade for Steak tataki is very good, slight crisp on the sushi is textured and flavoursome. Hint of chilli gives a nice mini kick. Szechuan lettuce cups are tasty, not really Szechuan though, more just sweet and spicy. Texture was good with little crunchy pieces, similar to how some places use corn flakes, but not corn. Was sticky sweet and spicy, a little sickly if you eat the whole damn thing but would be good to share.

My friends were overserved alcohol and then the staff proceeded to complain how they were too drunk. It was clear they just wanted their money and didn't care about their safety. I gave a look at the bartender when my 2 friends ordered 2 doubles each for last call. They chugged the doubles they had to legally get 2 more. That's a red flag. The one star rating is mainly for how rude the staff became. Horrible vibes from the staff, unless you want to be around fake, passive aggressive people. Not to mention that the food is a waste of money, but that's beside the point.

Visited Joeys recently and had a nice experience. They provide excellent service and great food. The menu is quite broad, but they do a good job with all these different cuisines. The dishes are not unique or mind blowing, but they taste great and provide comfort. They are also quite consistent, similar to a Cactus Club. Excellent for what it is.

I ordered a shrimp lettuce wrap. It consisted of lettuce, wonton noodles, and a few shreds of carrot and green onions. No vegetables to speak of, plus the shrimp was so undercooked it was translucent. I paid $20 for part of a head of lettuce, and wonton noodles with shrimp. I've had lettuce wraps before from other places and so I figured I could trust this dish as being good just for the fact of being professional competitive with a similar chain. Obviously I was wrong. It was so disappointing that this was our special Friday night dinner.

This was disappointing as I walked in before the lunch crowd had arrived, was politely seated and then ignored for 15mins. My guest arrived and we had caught up, examined the menu and decided before anyone even asked us if we wanted a drink! I thought maybe I had engaged my invisible super power as the staff summarily walked past me. I wound up passing on a cocktail. Then our food took an odd amount of time. We watched as others after us were being served meals but we're still Canadian polite and just waited. Food was commendable but my guests food was surprisingly spicy which was not denoted on the menu. So if you're a sissy like us about spicy then ask! I had awesome company and the convenience of the location for us was great but I'd go elsewhere next time. Poor value for money with this experience. Caveat emptor

This has a great atmosphere with lots of fusion food from Japanese sushi, Asian rice bowl, western steak , Italian pasta .. do make sure you try their Gyoza, calamari .. awesome. The house cooked special chicken - Rotisserie Chicken that can be sold out fast! I ordered the lobster ravioli and was great. Small slider toucan also try and pretty good. The atmosphere is casual and lots of wine to pick. However, it could have been voted 5 stars due to the slow service of the waitress. It took too Long to get out table prepare with 12 of us and take too Long to serve our wine and ordering our food... however, it was a lovely place !

I really hope this message reaches a manager and especially the hostess Cheryl! I dined in a few days ago with my family and overheard the incredibly warm and helpful hostess Cheryl helping out an elderly woman with her vaccine code. The woman was having trouble finding her vaccine proof on her phone, and we were waiting to be seated behind her. Cheryl greeted us warmly, and let us know that she will be right with us. Then she proceeded to seat us first, thanked us for waiting, and even offered champagne on the house. It’s our second time dining at this location and we’ve never been offered champagne before, (our last visit was years ago) so that was a pleasant surprise. She then took the woman to a table beside us, helped her settle down and sat down with her. The woman explained that she has dementia and often forgets where she saved things on her phone. Cheryl patiently helped the woman log into her account, and offered to set the vaccine code as her wallpaper so that way she could just show her phone to other places she goes to in the future. She also recommended a few dishes to that woman before getting back to the guest service stand. It was quite busy during lunch time too, but she took her time to connect with guests and made them feel comfortable and at home. It was incredibly heartwarming to see that genuine interaction, and during these tough Covid times, I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate this kind of customer service from a restaurant. The whole vaccine code thing is quite confusing for a lot of people who might not be too familiar with technology, knowing that there are still people like Cheryl who genuinely cares about customers makes me very happy! Will definitely be back when we visit Vancouver again. Cheers!

I ordered a decadent chocolate dessert ate just a small amount of the molten chocolate lava cake and mocha ice cream, then gave the rest to him to finish. He jogged for 40 minutes that day, I didn't! He also had a beer with dinner I just had water!

Nice place to have lunch with friends and colleagues. Being a couple of blocks from CBD, this location (compare to the Bentall Center location) is equally good and less crowded. I was able to make a reservation for lunch the day before. Food is fresh with choices for everyone. Service is not exceptional but good enough.

We had walked around to three other bars trying to find the ravens game and everyone had promptly dismissed us and said we’re not showing that game today. From the moment I called, I think the calls go to their corporate location or something (not sure), the woman was extremely patient and helpful and called the restaurant to be sure they would put it on for us. We arrived a little to early before opening and they allowed us to wait inside out of the rain, staff was so sweet and friendly. Manager was super accommodating and personable as was the bartender, it was such a pleasure to sit at the bar and watch the game in a very welcoming atmosphere. Food was the best we had in Vancouver all week, SO GOOD. Oh and the sangria was the best I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend and would recommend to anyone I know visiting the city!

My wife and I went to Joey Burrard last Saturday after a busy day getting ready for Christmas. We have been to this restaurant many times before, the food is always very good with the service not being too bad. On this occasion we were seated rather quickly, after about 5 minutes a member of your staff (Tamara Gross) came over to see if our server had stopped by our table, unfortunately the server had not come by, Tamara took our drink order which was great. She checked in on us a few minutes later to see if our server had taken our dinner order, same story the server had not come by yet. Once again Tamara came through and took our dinner order and stated that she was going to talk to our server citing that this lack of service was unacceptable. Throughout the evening Tamara checked in with us too ensure that our dining experience was positive. The way Tamara deals with customers is how every staff member should deal with customers, she was fantastic! She showed that she really cared about us as customers and wanted us to have a great dining experience, which we did! Joey Burrard has the perfect person in this position as the Guest Services Manager. We will definitely be back all because of Tamara! Well done Tamara!

My husband and I had a comfortable Friday night dinner at Joey's. Letty serving us was first rate...pleasant without being overbearing. She also gave me some solid recommendations with the steak frites. Plexiglass is installed for further protection between the booths and all staff are wearing masks. Ate dinner on the rooftop patio, which was a lovely experience. Ordered the fish tacos which were delicious! Waitresses were really nice, didn't bother us too much and came just when we needed her. Our waitress even spotted my dirty napkin and replaced it without my asking. Atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Portion size was a little bit small for the price in my opinion. Other than that it was a great experience!

Atmosphere, location, service, sangria and food was AMAZING. Food came very fast despite being about 3/4 capacity. Even as a single mom showing up with 2 kids, they welcomed us and treated us like gold. So glad we came and if I'm ever in Vancouver again, I will make a point of coming back. I am writing this review from Ireland as from all the way over here Joeys on Burrard still delivered exceptional customer service. My sister lives in Vancouver and was celebrating her birthday in your restaurant Friday night. I phoned the restaurant as I wanted to purchase a bottle of prosecco for my sister and her friends. A gentleman called Trevor answered the phone and just could not have been more helpful. It was difficult to get the payment sorted form over here but in the end he helped me sort it. I purchased a gift card online and Trevor gave me his email to send him the voucher and he assured me he would take care of the rest. I woke up to many happy pictures that my sister had sent me, Trevor and the joeys team went out of their way to get my sister a birthday card and had the prosecco ready and waiting on the table for Ann when she arrived. She text me saying she felt so loved and had had the best night and Trevor and the team really helped with that so I cannot thank you enough. Whenever I visit Vancouver this restaurant is always our first stop as we have great memories here, all created by the fantastic staff. I cant wait to visit again in October. I am not usually a huge fan of big corporate restaurants but I have to say, Joey's not bad, not bad. There is lots of seating with good social space. I was surprised though, I was not asked to present y Vax-pass and ID, strange. The service was good, the food was even better. They did a deep fried pita bread that was quite delish, it went well with the really really good hummus. Plus, I do love their pressed sushi and gyoza. Overall, you would not be disappointed at all, there are a lot of really well-crafted dishes on the menu. I will definitely return.

It seems that this place is pretty busy all the time, because of it's great location. The waitresses are dressed nicely and they are polite, too. The only thing that bugged me was that it took like 15 minutes to give our drink orders. We were seated and left alone for too long. The washrooms are incredibly clean. Look at the pics.

Great burgers and sandwiches for lunch, but avoid the beef dip or farmers sandwich - whatever they call it now - the beef is served very rare such that the texture is nasty. The just is too smokey. Not enjoyable at all. Burgers on the other hand are very good as is the chicken sandwich.

This place is pricey, but just for looking at it from the outside you know where you are heading to, so I'm not going to include this as a "bad point". Dishes here are amazingly well served. One could even share it if you are not into washing your face with food. Both drinks and dishes are incredibly good. From seafood to spanish paella, there's no way you can go wrong.

Absolutely fantastic in every way. Food is great, service is great, even for a complicated patron like myself. They were able to adapt all of my menu selections to keep me within the limits of my ketogenic diet, even going as far as to allow me to sub the mashed potatoes I couldn't eat for amazing seared cauliflour that wasn't even on the menu. Wind down Wednesdays are great - 50% off any bottle! The food and service were superb in the dining room. They even have a soy chicken substitute that is great on the tandoori flatbread. Seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere very laid back. Everyone works as a team, and they take good care of guests. Jessica was our server, and we will request her in the future. Great patio in warmer weather.

Hi Last night was my friend’s birthday The experience was the worst The spot they have us was not suited for the number of people even though my friend booked couple of days ahead The waitress assigned to us was terrible and rude and even she put the amount of tips added to our bill by herself. I think she did it because she knew she gave us terrible service and no one was willing to tip her. She was slow and rude. Me and my friends were dissatisfied and I guess it was the last we were going to Joey in Burrard st. I hope the manager read this review and try to train the staff better.

Went here with my friends for dinner on Feb 6. Excellent service! We all enjoyed the food very much. We were served by Gui, lovely guy. I expressed how I loved the food and that I think it’s better than other restaurants I have been to, personally. They really appreciated my positive feedback and the manager Casey decided to give us a dessert and an appetizer on the house! Will definitely go back.

Friendly staff, quick service, very nice decorum... Chicken lettuce wraps were delicious. I asked for it spicy and was given a side of a mixture of chill oil and spices, that worked so perfectly that it should be part of meal. It really set this to another level.

This location is so confusing. We came in tonight looking for a meal and we entered through both entrances and could not find anyone to seat us (The host desks were both empty). When we were finally told it was self seating for the lounge, we sat for 25-30 minutes before we finally tracked down a server to give us menus. Food was fine, but hard to enjoy when there was no kind of service.
