As I remember the place used to be great, and that why I recommend the place for a friends birthday. Food was great but the service not so much this time server was taking so long to take check out on us, whenever we need something we had to wait 5-10min to see our server again, and 15-20min to get our drinks. Maybe it’s understaff that evening but with 8 people on the table, our server could’ve done a better job we just felt she was new in there and doesn’t really know what she was doing.

We visited during the dov period. The restaurant is located in Canada Place, with stunning view and the food taste really good. But the most unforgettable thing is their services!!! Our server, Gaetano, was definitely providing high quality service to the customers. We oftenly visit good restaurants around the world, but i would say what Gaetano did was totally out of our expectation ???????? Had a great dinner here for our anniversary. Food was really good and the presentations were very nice. Awesome view Attentive and professional service Ordered the scallops and snail with sweetbreads to start and the scallops were so delicious, three big pieces of scallops. For entrees we ordered the beef tenderloin and added the pan seared foie gras as well as the lamb dish. Both were really good. Dessert we had the green apple, the presentation was very nice and tasted great. Overall well worth the money. Sidenote, the onsite parking is $9 for the evening after 6pm; I thought it was reasonable price.

(Translated) As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was stunned by the scenery outside the window. It was really beautiful. The waiters were very friendly and asked if they could help us adjust our position to the window, they immediately changed us. The two of us ordered two appetizers, two staple foods, a dessert and a few glasses of wine. After calculating it, the tip was about 380cad. It's a bit expensive, but it's really worth it. It's the least oily Western food I've had in Vancouver (and it's pretty good). I highly recommend the foie gras here. It is rich in flavor but not greasy at all. It has no duck flavor at all. It is delicious when paired with sweeter white wine. (Original) 刚进餐厅就被窗外的景色惊呆了，真的很美。服务员的态度都很友善，问了他们可不可以帮我们的位置调到窗边，他们马上就帮我们换了。我们2个人一共点了两个前菜，两个主食，一个甜品和几杯酒，算下来加上小费大概380cad这样的。有点小贵，但真的还蛮值，算是我在温哥华吃过最不油腻的西餐了（而且还蛮吃的）。我强烈推荐这边的鹅肝，味道浓郁但一点都不腻，完全没有鸭味，再配上较甜的白葡萄酒，巨好吃。

We had no service for around 10 minutes after we were seated (ie. no water, etc). Our dish with scallops had a hard piece however it was taken off the bill. The waiter gave us the bill without us asking for it. I understand any restaurant wouldn't want customers to stay for too long, however, our time there was under definitely under 2 hours. We noticed another table was at the restaurant however it seem as if they were welcome to stay as long as they wanted. From what I've seen, about half of the tables were empty. When another table arrived, they were immediately greeted by the waiter, going as far as to pull their seat back for them to get into their chairs. We didn't receive any of that, but an empty presence. Also, it seemed as if our server wanted to rush us out of the restaurant, I only asked him to describe one of the desserts, and after his explanation, he took both dessert menus away and assumed my partner and I would share 1 dessert. As a young couple, we felt we were given a lesser service compared to those around us, and we will not be coming back.

Went to Five Sails for their Weekend High Tea this weekend. It was a lovely high tea experience. The staff were friendly and engaging. Shout out to Andres who told us a bit about the chef and the culinary influence for his creations. The food was delicious. I just found the savoury Madeleine a bit on the dry side, otherwise all the flavours worked well together even if the combinations were unusual, like the smoked salmon macaron. I enjoyed that! The Truffle Quiche, and Foie Gras were my favourites. Highly recommend it.

Five Sails is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. I love going there for special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day) but also go for brunch occasionally. The restaurant has panoramic waterfront views of Stanley Park and a super romantic ambiance. The menu is 5 stars, uses high quality gourmet ingredients, and is beautifully plated. Table side service for certain cocktails and meals are spectacular too in how they present the item you ordered. I recently ordered their Mother’s Day High Tea at Home and wow I was blown away by the quality, flavours, and thoughtfulness for a to-go menu. I love Five Sails so much and highly recommend it to my friends and you!

Extremely friendly staff and lovely ambience. Our reservation was for 7:30. We had to wait a few minutes for a table, but the table was perfect, right by the window. The meal came with a couple small starters which were nice surprises. I got the sea bass and my boyfriend had the sablefish (black cod if you're from America). The entree was really good, but the dessert was my favorite part of the meal. I had the pomme verte which was a baked apple encased in mousse (I think?) and a chocolate shell. A creme anglaise was also poured over it. I'm salivating just remembering it! We ended up leaving around 10 and I hadn't even realized it was that late. Overall it was a perfect last night for our time in Vancouver.

Visited this restaurant with my girlfriend and her family. We ordered the scallops and salmon as appetizers, and the lamb, veal, beef, and sea bass as our main dishes. All of the food was decent, but not as great as I had expected. This restaurant is one where you are definitely paying for the view more than anything, as it offers breathtaking views of North Vancouver. The staff was attentive and helpful. However, the food was just mediocre. Nothing special.

You feel like you're sitting right on the water if near the windows. Prices are high but are expected for a high-end restaurant like this - and are not out of the norm for downtown Vancouver. I went there for Thanksgiving. We ordered the Thanksgiving dinner with soup, bread, turkey, and dessert. The soup is the best. The toast with salad on top is a not my dish. Turkey is tender and juicy but portion is a bit small with only 3 pieces. The dessert tastes too sweet for me. The customer service is excellent. The view is stunning. Overall, 4 star.

Celebrated my husband's 40th birthday with my family, All around good experience. Fine dining and pricey, the service was excellent however my 9yr old son was mistaken for a girl, and offered a high chair and crayons which he was not happy about ???? they did redeem his good graces by providing kid friendly menu options so it indicates to me that they don't have alot of kids dining but are able to cater for them if necessary. Food was gourmet, great plating and delicious each dish was presented in detail by the waiters and we each received a complimentary dessert bite because of the occasion. The view of the harbor during dinner was also fantastic.

My boyfriend booked a reservation at Five Sails for us. The food and service were superb. I'm disappointed in myself for not remembering our server's name but he was an older gentleman and he was absolutely delightful. Our dining experience, from beginning to end, was flawless. We ordered lobster bisque and oysters to start. For my main, I ordered the duck breast and a side of foie gras. Not only was the food delicious but the presentation was beautiful. The food was delicious but the best part of our dinner was dessert. We had their souffle and oh my goodness, heaven in your mouth. I cannot rave enough about it. Love experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

This is an upscale, romantic restaurant. The view is scenic. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is professional and very friendly. They will make you feel welcomed. I would recommend the seafood trio platter as a starter. My partner had the wagyu striploin and I had the veal risotto. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. Another positive is that the restaurant is in the Pan Pacific hotel, which means there is lots of underground parking. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Where do I begin, how about with WOW. Wonderful experience Outstanding service Wondrous views My husband and I joined 5 Sails for a later evening fine dining experience to celebrate our anniversary. The evening will forever be memorable. Our server Mike was extraordinary, knowledgeable and personable. He made us feel like a king and queen. We had a table with a beautiful view of the harbour looking into Stanley Park and the lit up lions gate bridge. Throughout the evening there were fireworks on the North Shore which added to the gorgeous mystique. We started with some of the signature cocktails which were extraordinary. The food was catered to our allergies and I believe the server overheard that I was craving a fresh salad (not on the menu) and one miraculously appeared before me - which was fresh and delicious. Overall an unforgettable, beautiful experience filled with food expertise, a chefs personal touch and spectacular quality. We will most certainly be returning. Kudos to the FOH staff, manager, the BOH and Chefs and to the owner. I travel much and I reckon this will be a staple on our list for special occasions. Thank you Five Sails.

I was really excited to try their Weekend High Tea but the experience wasn’t great. During my time there, BC did not have a mask mandate so ONLY ONE of the servers wore a mask and the others did not (including the manager(?) in a suit). Assuming that Pan Pacific is still as popular with visitors as pre-pandemic days, I’m surprised that more precautions weren’t taken to protect staff and guests. For $75 per person ($150/2 guests), it turned out that the Weekend High TEA set does not actually include tea. I can see that the menu does not mention tea...but it’s literally in the name. I’ve gone to many afternoon tea places in Vancouver and this was a first for me. I guess the price tag is really for the location and view. However, the (savoury) food items were quite gourmet and very well done.

Yet again another amazing experience at our favourite restaurant in Vancouver. From beginning to the end...AMAZING The hostess was a delight on the phone. We had to cancel our anniversary dinner at the last minute and she didn't make us feel bad. We rescheduled for the following day lunch and we were warmly greeted regardless. Food was divine as usual and so was the service. Gaetano is a pro and made us feel special. Christophe, the manager, is wonderful to say the least. He went above and beyond to make sure our anniversary was memorable. Thank you for the Champagne! I had the lobester bisque...divine. My husband had the nicoise salad and because it looked so good, Christophe had the chef made me a mini one (i didn't want a full portion). Then we had the best beef tenderloin we ever tried. Cooked to perfection. The pastry chef created an ensemble of celebratory desserts that were out of this world. It was a team effort and one can tell it is a well managed and care restaurant. Thank you ALL for making another wonderful memory for us! A presto!

This was a lovely treat. We had so much trouble deciding what we wanted to try to start with, the staff left us to our pondering to the point we had to get their attention once we finally decided. Before and after that they were wonderfully attentive while also giving us space. Every dish was displayed to enhance the flavours and didn't disappoint. From the celery soup to the black gnocchi to the fish dishes to the Panna Cotta dessert, it was so good we couldn't stop eating. The cocktails were an evolving taste palate and the view was a much needed relaxing distraction.

We were given a table by window with magnificent view of the north shore. Upon arrival, we were ushered to our table. The staff and our server were super friendly. The dinner menu had only 7 french-style dishes which made it very hard to choose from. The portions were very smalls, although beautifully presented. At the end, they brought us a tiny cake with a candle which I had trouble dividing it into half!!! Considering the portion and quality, the food was over priced and definitely one can get a much better meal in Vancouver with this money.

High Tea Saturday 2pm 4.5 / 5 The service was outstanding, and the view is definitely worth it. The menu was good but I’d give it 4/5 for the price ($75pp), the only reason being that some items seemed to have dried out a bit (bread on mini sandwiches, devilled eggs, truffle quiches). For the price and restaurant caliber this should not be acceptable. Tea selection was great (I recall 12 choices). The service, from host to everyone else was outstanding, lots of detailed care and attention from them.

The chef, Ernst Dorfler, is really just amazing...his creations were just on-point and delicious. We truly savored the dinner. The view was amazing as well...the general environment of the restaurant and harbor view was everything we were looking for. The service was above average. As for the negatives...it was really only the hostess, Gerry. She ruined what would have been an otherwise wonderful meal with her general demeanor and attitude. She should really hire that position out. The servers seemed visibly intimidated by her and I witnessed her chastising multiple tables at various points throughout the meal for them not meeting her decorum expectations. Yes, it's an upscale restaurant...but no one, other than her, was taking away from that. From reservations to watching her behavior through the meal...it was really just ridiculous. It was truly unfortunate that what would otherwise have been an amazing 5-star experience was tarnished by her behavior. Again though...the food was amazing...if you can deal with a bit of attitude, it may be worth it for you.

This is my third time going to Five sails. Last time was back in 2018. This time was for an anniversary celebration. We made a reservation for 2 people about 3 weeks before - requested a table by the windows. We were the only customers there when we arrived and were given a table by the windows as we requested. However, the table that they gave us was the only table with a window that has bird droppings on it. That's not very considerate ...considering that there were at least 6 other tables by the window. Also, I wasn't quite comfortable that the server wasn't wearing a mask at all. We ordered the lobster bisque because I recalled it was really, really good the last two times I had it (had pieces/ chunks of crab/lobster meat in it). We also ordered the linguine pascatore and the Beretta beef tenderloin. The lobster bisque did not satisfied me at all this time. It was way too salty and it no longer had any crab or lobster meat in it. We told the server we were not satisfied and he kindly offered to either remake the soup for us or to choose another appetizer. We decided to go for the salmon and kampachi duo dish. That dish not only looked stunning, but also tasted amazing (the green apple and wasabi sorbet made the fish tasted very fresh and unique). The beef tenderloin and the linguine both tasted great (although the beef was a bit dry in the outside). Overall: good service, depending on the food can be good. Improvement: 1. please wear a mask - we probably wouldn't have come here if we knew that servers are not wearing a mask. Not everyone is vaccinated and even if they are, people can still be carriers even if they have 2 vaccine doses. (I'm a healthcare worker and I still wear a mask - to protect those people around me). 2. Please bring back the old recipe for the lobster bisque

Went here for an anniversary/valentines menu. Main point is, ambience and service were great. However... Perhaps it was the menu, but I was expecting a lot more for a fine dining experience. The ambience was lovely, the service top notch and plating of food beautiful. The visual, didn’t match in flavour. For the cost, the food was underwhelming. Needed a lot more seasoning, everything tasted like it was lacking in salt. Soup was room temp at best, scallops over cooked, sand in oysters with under seasoned sweet breads. Pickled onions and whipped parsnips were the star the plate. Sea urchin was nice, mushrooms tasted like they picked it out of the ground and plated didn’t taste an oil or sauce, a little undercooked perhaps? Didn’t taste like much was done to it. Lobster broth was nice and light, lobster cooked beautifully, but again, temp was a little low, and could’ve used a little more salt. Dessert was the star of the 5-course meal, but could’ve done without the fruit “snap” in the end just tasted like a fancy fruit leather. Was definitely not worth the expensive price tag. I was expecting a lot more for a $300 meal. Disappointing really

It's expensive but you get what you pay for. On 2 appys, 2 entrees, and a dessert I was at $200 after a tip. That being said, the restaurant was a bit slow, so upon entry we were greeted by every staff member, and they wished my girlfriend a happy birthday. That's some service that's hard to find. Our waiter, camille, was very kind and I hope all their staff have the same manners and level of service Camille does. The food was delicious and I'm not used to fine dining but it sure was yummy and sophisticated. The view is great while eating dinner too.

My husband and I went there for dinner last night to celebrate my birthday. The view was outstanding! Service was very good. The food hit and miss. First there are no vegetarian main dishes only two on the appetizers. I ordered the king salmon and foie gras, a different combination but just didn’t impress me, the best item was the cucumber ice and it melted very quickly as it really is a very small dollop. My husband had the vegetable tart a big miss from the plain veggies to the soggy pastry wrap. I had the lamb for my main. The lamb was excellent but the accompaniments failed! Also order the Yukon gold ( mashed potatoes) came as a soup!!! I felt that there was too much going on and not enough attention to the basics of fine dining.Sorry but clearly a let down for what I expected to be a memorable dinner!

Five Sails offers high-quality dining & great service with unbeatable ambiance. I went in expecting it to be good but was absolutely blown away by how perfect everything was. The food was on par with the best and most expensive restaurants I’ve been to in Vancouver, but the service was next to none and the price was very reasonable for what was received. I’ve spent more for dinner at Earls before.. The duck and the snails are must-try dishes!

They didn't seem to have much sense of humour or lightness either. All of them looked stressed; I can only think that goes back to management. Love everything about this place. The view is spectacular. Recommend coming here between 6ish that way you can enjoy the view before it gets dark. The owner, Chef Ernst and Gerry Sayers are so down to earth and very fun to talk to. Staffs are super friendly and very attentive. I notice a few reviewers complained about the price and portion. I honestly think the price and portion are very standard for fine dining. From appetizers, entree, desserts and drinks are A++. Definitely, I will be returning to this place and highly recommending this place to lovebirds. It is very romantic.

We were looking for a place to celebrate and chose Five Sails for the view and the seafood menu. We had a great window seat, had water poured right away and then sat, and sat, and sat for what seemed a very long time. Once our server came to the table, the service was excellent as was the food. We chose to splurge on the tasting menu with matching wines and were pleased with both the food and the nice portion sizes.

Incredible views, excellent service and attention to detail, great food. The experience started with a smoke infused bourbon cocktail made tableside. The seafood trio was the perfect start. We had the Halibut and Sablefish, perfectly cooked. Our server Ben was so helpful, especially with the drink pairings throughout the evening. We finished with a Lemon Mille Feuilles and a Tokaji. We'll definitely be going back.

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. The food was very decent and I highly recommend the lamb. I don't know if it's because we were sitting at the far corner of the restaurant, the waitress barely came to us to fill the cups. I was also told in advance that they'll prepare a small special dish to enlighten the birthday ceremony but it never happened. As far as I enjoy the food, I'll probably not go back again just because the quality of service and the price tag.

Not good as it used to be! Casey was the server at the time I ordered over the phone. The order was for my girl friends birthday. I didn't receive any calls or texts as to status of the order. So I drove to the location and had the birthday girl patiently wait in the car for me. When I entered the location, Casey barely bothered to even acknowledge the presence of a new customer at the door. I'm sure what she was looking at on her phone was far more interesting than my order. I was taken back but in the interest of not having the birthday girl wait any longer I introduced myself to her. I then asked if my order is ready to which she replied: "which order". So I described our phone conversation and she acknowledge that happened but told me "oh sorry kitchen is closed". She then followed to look back down at her phone cause I'm sure it's not big deal just happened!!! Turns out birthdays happen once a year so it's a really big deal actually. Clearly disappointed with how poorly our order was handled. I mean I hope she got some free time from her phone later to do some of her job responsiblities too.

Wonderful restaurant with stunning views. I suggest going for a late dinner to enjoy the sunset while you dine. Noise level was normal and seating is comfortable. Every member of the staff was polite, professional and helpful. I had the Lobster bisque, Scallops, Sea Bass and Chocolate dance. All was excellent with the Sea bass being the star. The food was stunning and tasted as good as it looked. We shared the foie gras terrine with cured salmon, lobster ravioli and scallops in a nest to start. Scallops were those beautiful large Hokkaido scallops with micro green and white chocolate -an incredible pairing. Foie gras was light and delicate and complemented the cured salmon well -so much umami on that dish. Lobster ravioli was incredible, rich sauce, whole Italian lobster. For our entrees I had the sable fish, cooked perfectly. My friends had the lamb and steak. Each dish was elevated as you’d expect in a fine dining atmosphere but Chef clearly has fun, plating with whimsy and showing real innovation on classical dishes. Our server was funny and engaging yet professional and impressive. It was my birthday and not only did he hit every service point, he and Christophe, the GM, went above and beyond to ensure I felt special. From the hostess to the food runners, each staff member was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. The dining room stunning, elegant yet inviting and has a high end casual feel. The view is unbeatable. Exceptional wine list. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Thought I was ordering a whole lobster dinner so I split it with a friend...ended up we only got a small claw of meat and part of a leg each...minimal amount of food. The scallop appetizer was one small scallop each with sauce. Total for those two plates plus one glass of wine was over $150 plus tip. I came home and ate more because I was still hungry! Taste was ok not amazing. Portions were very small. They brought two small chocolates for free because I’m sure they realized we ate so little. Disappointed!

First, I want to mention that the exceptional service plus exceptional food is what's always brought me back to dining at Five Sails all these years, it's been my #1 fine dining restaurant that I've recommended when people ask me where is the best fine dining restaurant in Vancouver. Since the change of ownership last year, the GM Christophe has really taken care of my dining experience, always going above to make sure I have an excellent table to enjoy the view, and that we're satisfied with every dish. Only giving three stars has nothing to do with the terrific service of all the staff, but to do with one dish that tonight I was just truly so disappointed that I have to express this thoroughly. The duck breast entree has been a signature dish that I order every time I go to Five Sails, when the duck supplier used to be from Quebec. Last year, they changed the supplier to one from Rougie, France and I was told the new duck was of a higher quality and tasted better. The first time I realized they changed the duck, the new duck was very tough and thick, and I was left disappointed that my favourite dish was now changed for worse. A few months later today, I gave it a second try hoping for improvement, but unfortunately that was not the case and even worse than my first try. This $48 dish makes me wonder why they decided to change a dish that was so perfect to something so confusingly mediocre, and set at an even higher price than before. It’s been reduced to some experimental plate where the chef is trying to be creative at the cost of a negative dining experience to the customer; sometimes less is just so much more (as evident in my photos, the original dish was simply 2 slices of thinly cut duck breast, puree, and some vegetables but it was a cohesive, delicious entree). This time, I requested that the duck be cooked more medium rare compared to last time, but even though it was cooked perfectly as I requested, in the end it is still a tough piece of duck to not only chew but I also had difficulties cutting through; that never happened with the previous duck. Also my added on foie gras looked terrible, taste was fine but it just looked so unappealing compared to the previous foie gras that used to be served on a separate plate (which was of a larger size, served with a slice of I think it was either a cooked vegetable or fruit, as seen in my photos for comparison). I’m very open to changes and trying new flavours, but only if the dish turns into something even better! Not that the separate components don’t taste fine, but all of them combined in this entree is just too much, like I was eating breakfast lunch dinner dessert in one plate. A dry vegetable madeline, an out of place creme brûlée, and in this case the orange slices with the duck didn't go well, maybe because the other components all together just made too many flavours happen at once. I would like to try a duck a l'orange but this dish wasn't good. My disappointment was relayed to the chef through GM Christophe and I really appreciate that Christophe understood that I was not enjoying what I was eating. He immediately offered me to order another entree to replace the duck, so I decided on the sable fish, which was so much better that I finished the entire plate. Besides this Grand Marnier duck dish that I won't be ordering again, everything else was exceptional and I would still come back to try the rest of the dishes. I can’t compliment enough on the exceptional service of the servers and to the GM Christophe who really took care of making sure I had a great dining experience, which in this case overall I did enjoy everything besides the duck. The lobster bisque, and the Grand Marnier soufflé is always the best (they've doubled the size of the soufflé now). I apologize for causing the hassle to my server and Christophe as I was not expecting my bill to be waived, and I want to express how much I appreciated this very kind gesture. I will come back again, thank you.

Delicious fine-dining experience, an excellent location for a celebration. We started with the foie gras and smoked salmon, scallops and escargot. Absolutely divine starters, specifically suggest the scallops. As for mains, we had the lamb, the duck and the seabass. Lamb was beautiful, duck was superb, as well as the sides, and the seabass was some of the best fish I have ever eaten. Dessert continued with the apple caramel dessert and the Yuzu pearl. Both delicious and presentation was amazing. Drinks were also beautiful, excellent selection of wines as well as non-alcoholic drinks. Our server, Ramon was particularly amazing and added to the already wonderful experience. Such a lovely person and amazing at helping with our every need. The other waiters were excellent and lovely. I would like to also give a personal note of gratitude to the chef for his/hers/their creativity, I was particularly impressed with the wine-jellies, made with delicious products from quail’s gate. The kitchen staff presented everything absolutely gorgeously. 20/5 worth the money, and more.

Seamless dining experience. Most tables in the venue will allow for a lovely view of the city and water. All of the staff were pleasant to deal with and the food was incredible. Each dish we ordered was cooked beautifully. We started with cocktails; One cocktail in particular that stood out to me was the Season Of Mist. I enjoyed The Executive which was great but the star of the show was Season of Mist. Would definitely return as all aspects of the dining experience were fantastic.

My friend had the Slow Poached Pacific Halibut while I had the Roasted Milk-fed Veal Tenderloin. Both were cooked to perfection and served with great accompaniments. Mine had the crab and morel mushroom risotto which was the best risotto I have ever had. We both ordered the Grand Mariner Soufflé. We were so glad we did. It is served with a delicious cream anglaise and rum and raisin ice cream. The soufflé too, was cooked to perfection.

Extremely rude staff. Horrific experience. We made a reservation on opentable for 3 people, myself, my husband and our child in a stroller. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a frown and “Gerri” saying she was “not expecting this”, referring to our child. She set up a table, where we parked the stroller and my baby was drinking his bottle about to fall asleep. Next thing you know, she looks at me and points at him to try and “keep the noise down” as he was drinking his milk. I asked her if she had a problem, and her answer was “YES!” She said this is a restaurant that caters to adults only and there are corporate events going on. She offered pen and paper in a very condescending way. Pen and paper for an infant. So he can “draw and shhhhh” as she said. She literally said that. I asked her if she wanted us to leave she said “no but there are corporate events” and that “having a baby there wasn’t helping”. We got up and left and on our way out she said “awww sorry you feel this way” Extremely disappointed, offended and outraged. Shame on you five sails.

The food WAS THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN. Some other places were a bit fancier but considering overwhelming quality of the food this is definately the best overall restaurant I have ever been too. Ordered: Fois gras: Of the duo one of them had mind blowing flavours and the other was really delicious. Truffle & Cheese Souffle: I'm no souffle expert but the pecorino cheese was SOOO good. Amazing. Beef Tenderloin: The absolute star of the dinner. The caramalized carrot jus was the best tasting thing I have ever experienced in my life. Everything about this dish was perfect but OMG the jus!!! Sea Bass: Clean tasting, amazing flavours just absolutely wonderful. A pasta: Can't remember which it was but even this simple dish was miles above anything I've had. Dessert: Coconut Panna Cotta, Tonka beans and Chocolate Tart, Profiteroles, Grand Marnier Souffle. The dessert souffle was just so classy and delicious - never had anything like it. My favorite was the panna cotta, kids were the profiteroles and wife was the chocolate. Just absolutely first class, everything had all kinds of accompaniments that just perfectly matched the dishes.

Honestly, I didn't know about this place until now, I'm a little surprised that so few people have tried and reviewed the restaurant. For food, I tasted: 1. Salmon sashimi on thin toast/cracker and butternut squash soup (appetizer, complimentary) 2. Trio of seafood (appetizer,$25) 3. Duck breast ($38) with add-on grilled foie gras ($15). I highly recommend this main course, the combination of flavors is just sensational. 4. Sable fish with shrimps (main, $40). The fish was cooked perfectly, which is rare for most restaurants. Flavor was mild but you really get to taste the freshness of the fish, I would recommend this dish to people that prefer lighter taste. 5. Tiny birthday cake (dessert, complimentary) 6. Cookies and chocolate (dessert, complimentary) With all the complimentary items, I was really glad that I didn't order any dessert, because I was already way too full after this delicious meal. While this restaurant could be a little pricey, I think the experience is worth every bit of the cost, so definitely give it a try!

We went to Five Sails to celebrate our anniversary and the food/service were impeccable. Started the meal with the TRIO OF WARM & CHILLED SEAFOOD. Mains consisted of HONEY GLAZED SMOKED DUCK BREAST and ROAST MILK FED VEAL TENDERLOIN WRAPPED IN PANCETTA. The dinner finished off with luxe lemon mille-feuilles. All 3 courses were outstanding.
