Food and drinks were just ok and service definitely needs improvement… Went there for our anniversary dinner which we made reservation long time ago but got seated on the first floor along with the walk-in customers and hotel guests. Staff would just carry a big jar of strawberry jam and walks behind your table.. overall, it wasn’t a very pleasant experience

Andrea

The food tastes great and the plates look amazing. The ambience was good. Unfortunately the service has no warmth. You feel that it's job for the staff. I sat at the bar to expect a show of some sort but nope, nothing but water and booze splashing on my face every time the bartender made a cocktail. And I was expecting more French influence in the staff

classic french bistro food cassoulet, coquille st jacques, crepe suzette. it was delicious service was great and decor was good. wood paneling high ceilings. my wife and i enjoyed our dinner immensely would recommend it to anyone that wishes to enjoy french classics very well done

Gorgeous room, warm, friendly and inviting. The service was outstanding. Our server was friendly but not intrusive. The food was excellent. My duck was perfectly cooked, tender and delicious! An inventive cocktail list and a solid wine list both feature a French influence. Definitely worth a visit!

Had the pleasure of dining at Alouette on what turned out to be their opening day! It was cold and raining in Vancouver so I ordered the French Onion soup and a great glass of red wine. Highly recommend, the flavours were fantastic and the room was so warm and welcoming. Will definitely come back!

Perhaps the best lamb rack in town and a great service. Our group enjoyed the taste of their meals. I will definitely go back.

Everything about this restaurant was great. The place was clean and the smell of delicious food hit us as we came through the doors. The greeter was very nice we can see his big smile through the mask on his face. Our lovely server was awesome! Tentative and always making sure we got everything we needed. The staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and wholesome. Reminded me of back home. Then we also had dessert and that was really good as well. Great atmosphere with really nice people. Highly Recommended!!!

Wow, this place is amazing, I was shocked! Food, service, ambiance all outstanding. We ordered the Beef Tartare, Duck Cassoulet, Moules et Frites, and Crepes Suzanne. For drinks we had the Sidecar and Pink Flamingo cocktails. All of the dishes were very well prepared and I really enjoyed the table-side presentation for the Beef Tartare and the Crepes Suzanne – it definitely made the experience feel more special and memorable! The drinks were excellent as well. The interior and vibe of the restaurant felt really nice. It is decorated literally from top to bottom and over two levels. Would like to come back during the day to see what it is like then. Service was friendly and attentive, which is to be expected as this is a restaurant attached to a hotel. I would definitely come back. $8.00 parking for the whole night at the parkade across the street is a nice bonus too.

We ordered Le Burger and Duck Cassoulet for take away. The Le burger is very delicious, duck cassoulet is too salty.

I am very impressed with the overall decor and ambiance of this little hidden gem! The food was overall impressive as well! I would definitely come back to this place for dinner or lunch! Their beef tartare, very unique way of putting it together and their duck, perfectly made for me!

very unfriendly staff and I do not want to visit here anymore.

We had dinner at the bar. The first impression should have been an indication of what's to follow. The 2 paper menus were wrinkled and smudged. The menu on synthetic stock was beyond filthy. One of us the Le Burger. It was served without the French fries, even though half the serving tray looked obviously empty. We found the food to be a bit better than mediocre and service mostly absent.

Brian Dick

Food was good; final bill included far more unexpected charges than experienced at any other similar restaurant. Disappointing. Will likely not return. UPDATE - Alouette did reach out to me regarding my experience, which I appreciated, and were receptive to feedback. I have updated the rating accordingly, and will try them again. As mentioned, the food and service up until the bill was good.

Friendly greeting on arrival and a great staff member serving us. Ordered a large selection of the menu for our table. Everything was good with the exception of the steaks. They do not have a sear and came to the table slightly cold. About an hour into our dinning, the waitress stopped coming to the table, but they did become very busy in that time. Took awhile to get offered dessert or the check, but we where in no rush.

Food was delicious and good portions! Service was the right amount of attention without being disturbing. Our neighbor was a bit loud and was annoying even to others who kept looking at them but thought it might be tough for severs to ask her to lower her voice especially it seemed the host apologized to them for smthg. But she was loud enough that it hurt my ears! But other than that one guest, my experience based on restaurant was good. Would come here again.

We lived in Europe for 12 years, were married in France, and have been to French restaurants in NY and LA. So far, this has been the best French restaurant we have been to outside of Europe. We ordered the Bouillabaisse, Duck confit, salade nicoise, hamburger and trout. As starters we had the foie gras, oysters, pommes frites and steak tartare. We were a party of 5 with 2 kids, gluten free and lactose intolerant diets, and they accommodated our needs beautifully. Chef Albert Tran and his team created each dish with its own unique flavour, all equisitely prepared. Wuanita's friendly service made us all feel welcome.. The cocktaiils we ordered were also well crafted and balanced. We will be recommending to friends and coming again. Thank you for a great evening!

The restaurant is still closed or not open yet. However, google has the option to make reservations for this restaurant at touchbistro. We got there and the front desk told us it’s not opened.

Esther Schönwandt

Frankly a disappointing experience - especially for the price. The waitress was disengaged and infrequently visited our table. We didn't get our cocktails until after our meals were served. The cocktails were good, but the food was palatable at best. Maybe 4 stars if entrees were $12 which they most certainly were not.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Alouette last Thursday, and the experience was excellent. We were given a nice cozy table close to the open kitchen, which we love as we like to watch whatever takes place there. The restaurant is touted as Classic French cuisine and a more accurate description I could not give. We opted for a number of French Classics, starting with the Beef Tartare (prepared tableside) and the Foie Gras Terrine. Both were delicious. The Tartare was not ground, but rather minced and the final tableside preparation ensured the freshness of this delicacy. The Foie Gras was delectable, smooth and silky served with fun toasted Brioche strips. For our main, I selected the classic Bouillabaisse, and my wife the Chicken with sun choke, braising greens, mushroom, bacon gruyere crumble, and sauce espagnole. Both dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Although the portions were generous, we couldn’t resist the traditional Crêpes Suzette for desert. Again a dish that was finished tableside, and one shared desert more than satisfied both of us. Service was excellent, friendly, intimate yet very professional and Polonia(sp?) should be commended. Our Maître D’ Hamid was attentive and doubled as the Sommelier, recommending an extra-ordinary La Bernardine, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, that was the perfect accompaniment to our dinner. All in all this was one of our best culinary adventures of the last months so if you are looking for a great French Dining experience in Vancouver today, run, don’t walk to Alouette and you will not be disappointed.

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of my ribeye at Alouette. I had a 3 course meal, with a couple of cocktails. Considering the high quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups. The staff were extremely friendly and energetic. I will recommend this to all my friends!

It is understandable that not much goes smoothly these days as businesses navigate staffing issues, new employees and mandates that seem to change by the minute. We all know hiccups happen, but it is how a business recovers from little hiccups that says everything about who they are. I had ordered room service from this restaurant and there was a hiccup with the delivery. The next morning, I contacted them and immediately received a call back from Hamid at the restaurant. He was very professional, apologized for the error and offered to fix it. And fix it he did! That evening, I enjoyed one of the best gourmet burgers and crème brulee - I have ever tasted. It was cooked to perfection, it was uniquely delicious and is definitely something I would order again. In the last 2 months, this is the 2nd time I have ordered from this restaurant while visiting Vancouver, and I will be back. While my meal was enjoyable, the professional manner in which the staff handled my concern said everything about this restaurant, their team and the pride they take in delivering a wonderful dining experience. I would highly recommend Alouette Bistro. 5 stars all around.

What a gem of a restaurant. The foie gras terrine is a must have. It’s got a delicate balance due to its parfait like texture, and perfect richness at the same time, which is typical of foie gras. The cherries are just the perfect accompaniment ;). The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare / medium, as such high quality meat should be. The tomato jam on the bun is out of this world. We also had the bouillabaisse that is delicious and great value too, with the clams, mussels, scallops, prawns, halibut, and Dungeness crab. There was even sides of crostini to dip into the crab broth. Need I say more!!! We finished off our night with beautifully presented elderflower liqueur creme brûlée. Will be back.

The customer service was very good and the food tasted amazing! It was very nice to see the beef tartare being made in front of you. My only complaint would be that we asked to be seated in a more private space but we were seated next to the kitchen. As a party of two, the table we sat at was so large we had to sit next to each other instead of across because we would have needed to talk loudly in order to hear each other. Besides this, it was a very nice experience.

Red Murphy

Sunday night it was pretty quiet but it seemed like the kitchen and staff had a hard time keeping up. I'm not going to fault the staff on this. It's the food that deserves criticism. All together it was only ok, underseasoned steaks, dishes served only just warm, cassoulet with beans that verged on crunchy. All of it premium priced (and how, 25 for a very modest nicoise salad that had half an egg) but not a premium experience. French onion soup that had lots of cheese and crouton and about 2 tables spoons of soup. The bright spots were the fries and deserts. That's not enough to go back. There are many better alternatives.

Really top notch french fusion. My wife and I lived abroad in the EU for 15 years and I am from New York and this is the best french food I have had in North America. really outstanding and each plate different and flavorful..no complaints it was excellent.

Amazing experience Wanita was a great server and very kind ❤️ will definitely visit again. Started off with the lovely Northern Divine Caviar (local in Vancouver) Paired with a lovely table side service Beef Tatare infused with Dijon, and truffle paste. Entrées include the Bouillabaisse and The Duck Cassoulet ☺️❤️

The quality of food is indescribable. However their service needs improvement. We expected a higher standard, but didn’t it meet our expectations. If you need some suggestions of dishes, try Beef Tartare and French onion soup.

We went here for our 4th anniversary and it was amazing. The food was spectacular. It was the best beef tartare we've ever had. We had to order seconds! The atmosphere was incredible and it almost felt like we were sailing on the titanic. The staff was very friendly too, they really made us feel special. We will be coming here again soon.

We tried to go for dinner here. Sat down for our reservation at 7:30pm, took 20 minutes to order anything, ordered appetizers and main course at the same time. appetizers came 30 minutes later. 90 minutes of waiting after we ordered, still no dinner. fed up and hungry, we asked to cancel our dinner and get the bill. Manager said oh the food is almost ready we will pack it up and you can take it to go, we agreed, as long as the bill was brought so we could pay and leave. another 20 minutes goes by and still nothing, bill finally comes and the credit card machine doesn't work, and still, 2 hours after we ordered, dinner was not ready. all the tables around us were having similar problems. even drinks were taking 20-30 minutes to arrive. this sort of service is unacceptable and waste of everyone's time. Alouette has many, many kinks to fix if they want to survive.

New Vancouver eatery... gorgeous decor! Food was lovely. Service was top notch. Have to say... my friend's burger was quite salty... they not only offered her something else, but comped her entire meal. Not nesc., but a class act! Will SOO be attending Alouette again.

???? service...top notch server who didn't need to write down our order ???? food...presentation and taste ????ambiance...music, decor, comfort, lighting ????location...convenient if you live downtown and close to transit....we took a brisk short walk from home French cuisine. Reservation - recommended you call to book. I booked on an email from their website and they did not get the reservation. But it was easy enough over the phone. Starters - my friend had beef tartare (not my taste but friend said it was perfect) and I had Gougères a savory goats cheese puff with pickles. Delicious and a generous portion of 6 good size puffs. Entrée - both had the Bistro filet with roasted garlic, shallots and a peppercorn sauce. Anything larger than 6 oz would have been way too much. My friend thought the sauce too light on pepper and a bit runny but for me it was just right...a matter of taste. It came with pom frites. My friend substituted her frites with the mash/pureed potato. She described the mash as so soft and fluffy .. almost melting in her mouth! ????????‍♀️ We shared a garden salad. Filet was done perfectly according to our choices. Dessert - we shared crepe Suzette - flambèd and plated efficiently table side by an excellent server. Even though shared we each enjoyed a huge delicious portion. Came with a small scoop of ice cream, chantilly (aka cream for pleasure like me) and a lone gooseberry sitting on a biscuity crumble. The menu said peach but I could have sworn it tasted and looked like apple! Either way it was good. I may need my eyes and palate checked. Great way to end the meal. It felt like an occasion being there even though it was just a mid week, after work and shopping dinner. Good to indulge in a bit of fine dining from time to time! I will go back hopefully.

The food was nice but for the overall experience we received we did not find value in our meal. We were disappointed the opening staff had such little product knowledge and were hoping to have the new menu and wine list explained more but unfortunately when we did ask questions answers weren't known. We also found the environment a bit awkward and despite having a reso on a slow Thursday they sat us upstairs hidden away in a cold back table so we didnt really see what the space had to offer which was unfortunate. It still feels like the old establishment but with some funky new wallpaper and art prints. The music was really out of place too, just pop radio hits which was distracting and odd. Overall we were not super excited with our visit and felt there are areas for improvement.

Superb steak frites!

Soft opening. Meet & greet friendly. Room nice, didn't look upstairs but looks interesting. Service was "soft," food was polished but slow, excellent with the exception of the oysters. We had lamb and fillet. Very promising.

We enjoyed our evening at Alouette immensely. Love the warm ambiance . The manager, Mark, and all of his staff were incredible. Suggestions on wine pairings were perfect. Chef Albert’s Coquille St Jacques, Steak Frites, Bouillabaisse and Fromage du Jour were beautifully presented and delicious! The menu had many great choices. We are looking forward going to again!

Iraj Babaei

I had beef tartar and fresh oyster as starters. Beef tartar has loads of flavour. It was super smooth just like the velvet. Oyster with torched foie gras was just the right balance. However, my Duck Cassoulet was SUPER salty. I thought the taste was just heavy; hence I tried to finish it. But I just can't after halfway through. My partner had to help me finish it because we don't like wasting food. I felt like I was purely eating salt and I can't Stop drinking water. Our waitress doesn't know the product too well. As we asked for a wine recommendation, she just pointed one randomly. She didn't even ask me how was the food, apparently she just assume I like it. I didn't even have the chance to common.

Jason Walsh (Golden Gecko)

It is very hard to do steak tartar in BC dues to our restrictive health code but they absolutely nail it!!! Best tartar I've had in Vancouver

Came here with a party of 8 on a Friday night and the food and service was excellent. A special Thank you goes to our lovely server Juanita for a beautiful evening. I highly recommend the beef tartare, rack of lamb, vol au-vent and tagliatelle! The desserts are all delicious so I would suggest saving room at the end. Lovely staff and room. Will definitely be back!

Miya Dong

Overall pretty disappointed. Of all the employees we interacted with (5 or 6 people), everyone was great and extermly professional except for our waitress. She was quite unfriendly, not even bothering putting the silverware properly on the table, bringing the bill way before we were done with our dessert or never replying to our "thank you". Appetizers were very good. The pickles with the wild boar rillettes were a great combination. Main courses were an absolute let down for both of us. The scallops, although properly cooked, were barely warm and the amount of food really minimal. The Raclette burger wasn't hot either. Not sure how long it sat on the counter before being served but the meat was cold and so was the bun (not even sure it was toasted at any point). Not sure why all the food was served on cold scallops shells or wood slabs when a hot plate may have made such a difference. It's not "fancy" or "modern" if it's affecting the tasting experience. Dessert was fine, nothing special about it, but all in all, this is not a place we would go back to or recommend to anyone. The price matches neither the service we received nor the quality of the dishes.

Charie Ginete-Ilon

Really a superb restaurant in all aspects, food, ambiance, service. Menu is typically French bistro which I really appreciate. We had the bouillabaisse. Excellent! It will be my new spot! Salade nicoise sera pour une prochaine visite. Also there a very nice array of tables and an inviting (cozy) bar if you want to go for a drink alone. Did I mention the wine? Exquisite! And all this in both French and English. Love it! Highly, highly recommend!

Fantastic meal and French wine selection. We had the Brandad au Gratin to start which was an amazing explosion of flavours! Then we had the duck cassoulet and steak frites for our mains! I did not find the cassoulet to be salty like other posts, it could have used a bit more, if anything. We finished our meal with crepe Suzette. Everything was fantastic!

Best bartender in the city.

In the entire two hours, many of the chefs wore their masks under their chin. The pony tail guy wiped his nose a dozen or more times, rubbed his eyes for 30-40 seconds, and touched his chin many times without washing or sanitizing his hands. Even before covid, this was considered highly unprofessional and unclean. He put it on near the end for almost a full three minutes. Other ones also had theirs under their nose or under there chin. Gross. Two in the back wore theirs correctly for most of the time. Food was OK. Steak was rare, not medium rare. Chips were cold. Salad was great.

Tyson Watt

I ordered the Bouillabaisse on a recommendation from our server. She said it was a large portion which appealed to me. It was good, but the portion was small and left me hungry. The mustard sourdough and fish was quite good but wasn’t much there. Everyone else’s dishes looked good but small portions. For the price and my experience on this visit I will not be back.

Checked out the free Christmas lights display at the Burnaby Village Museum. It was a great night out with the family where we enjoyed learning about how Christmas was celebrated in the early 1900's. Live music, Christmas lights and walk through displays. Very educational and charming. Would recommend for all ages.

Tess Appleby

Although promising, the Bistro still has a bit of work to do before the price point matches the quality of food and service. The kitchen and room staff were simply not able to deliver on the quality that should be expected and somewhat inexperienced. A great space with potential. However, I would recommend finding a more established French restaurant in town if that is what you are looking for.

Mike Zar

Fruit flies in restaurant everywhere. Over priced.

Jiyoon Hwang

We say upstairs and really enjoyed the overall vibe and decor of the restaurant. From our viewpoint we could watch the chef's preparing and cooking every dish. All of the menu items we ordered were good but found the scallop dish was too small to be a full main as listed. The overall service was decent but could be a bit more attentive in regards to filling up wine glasses and removal of empty plates. Will definitely be back!

Went here for dineout! Food was wonderful. A minus on stars as it did take about 25 minutes to be seated and have a waiter take our order.

Evening of delicious gougères stuffed with creamy goat cheese, flavourful mussels and fries, and crispy duck cassoulet. A bit heavy on the salt for my personal taste, but the staff were friendly and welcoming from start to the end of service. There was a dinner party seated upstairs that were unfortunately way too noisy and took away from the atmosphere.

I really wanted to like Aloutte and given all the solid reviews during their soft launch I thought this could become a regular spot since I have an office nearby and I frequented the Copper Chimney that was the predecessor to Aloutte in this location. TL;DR - Overly ambitious for a new restaurant, pricing out of line for quality of service, good dishes that needs a bit more practice. Can't recommend given other french bistro's very close by with better food and more seamless service. Given the location downtown, I would be very cautious to have business meals here given the experience. Service: On this occasion, wife and I were celebrating our 20th Anniversary. Restaurant was packed and lively which I thought was a great sign. We were seated promptly upstairs and again, the restaurant was FULL. Wife commented we haven't seen a dining room this full since the start of the pandemic, tables were pre-pandemic spaced apart and there were at least two large groups in private sections. Drinks and orders were taken promptly after we were seated but then the wait begins. Starters arrived about an hour after we placed our order. Our mains arrived 45 mins after our starters were cleared of which we had to send back one dish leaving us to share our mains otherwise one of us would be watching the other eat. This left us to chat with nearby dinners and observe what was going on. Pretty much every dish that was sent to the upstairs dining section made its rounds to each table before landing on the right table. The waitstaff wasn't just new, it was as though they weren't even properly trained. I feared for the couple who ordered the crepes for dessert which involved a brandy flambe sur la table. The server was nervous and visibly shaking as he unsuccessfully tried to light the brandy. One table got served their Foie Gras add-on only after all their dishes were finished. Another table only had their starters before they ran out of time with their babysitter, so they left hungry without their mains. We didn't finish our meal until nearly 10pm. In a restaurant that can pace dishes properly matched with calm or entertaining waitstaff, a 3hr+ meal would be fine but with chaotic experience at Aloutte, it bordered on exhausting and comedic. I really feel bad for the service staff given how packed the management booked the restaurant. The Maitre D' ended up comp'ing one of our mains and a dessert, a gracious gesture but unfortunately still left us leaving our celebratory dinner with a bad impression in the end. Food: Starters: Lyonnaise Salad - nice start, fresh and one of the better dishes for our meal. I liked the salted walnuts with the Roquefort as a pairing with pleasantly bitter endive and radicchio. Halibut Brandad au Gratin - A bit heavy/dense and served as a lump on a piece of bread. Flavours were good but not a traditional brandade. Mains- Duck Cassoulet - Decent, a bit dry and seemingly missing about a 1/3 of the duck leg. Cannellini beans were nicely and the sausage was a good compliment to the dish. Lamb Rack - Served as chops and not as an actual rack. Ordered medium rare, delivered blue-rare and sent back. Under-seasoned, nothing outstanding and honestly not worth the $49. Dessert- Chocolate Fondant - actually a chocolate souffle or lava cake served with a delicious vanilla ice cream and hazelnut crumble. Probably the highlight of our meal and we were glad we stuck it out til the end. Definitely try this.

Went there for a celebration with my girlfriends, the restro looks decent, but the tables cannot get anymore crowded. Very noisy atmosphere. The food are just okay, the Bouillabaisse was very salty, Ribeye tasted ok, a little chewy. The female server sounds very inexperienced, and constantly touching her mask, pulling it up and down and serving our food after, that makes all of us very uncomfortable. The price, food and service do not match. Definitely need more improvement.

Beef tartare was special, pretty good. Lamb was good, duck was overcook. However, the service was AWFUL. We went in with a birthday cake in hand, received no greetings. Sit at the table for 8 minutes, no one came to serve. Also,You have to ask them to fill your empty water glass. Served food super slow, waited 37 minutes after we finished appetizer, with two empty water glass????. Never care to ask “how is the food?”. TBH, even a street side ???? pho place does better than this.

Paula Wong

I tried their duck breast, main course. Although they had dressed up the plate nicely, the duck itself was the most boring duck I've ever had in Vancouver. No added flavour, just a bland piece of meat. These guys don't know even the basics of french cooking. What a joke!

French is our favorite cuisine and we were celebrating an anniversary so was really looking forward to our visit but left underwhelmed. First off, the restaurant was packed on a Sat evening and was surprised to see no distancing between tables. I understand everyone in attendance had to show proof of vaccination but a little disconcerting nonetheless. There was also someone in the kitchen that had their mask under their chin for the 2 hours we were there. We arrived at 7:30pm and our table upstairs wasn’t ready so they moved us to a 4-person table by the door. I requested the vacant table beside as I didn’t want to be by the door and because the vacant table looked cozier with sofa seating but was advised it was meant for 4 people. Not sure what the difference was since they were seating us at a table for 4. Low and behold, shortly after, they sat a table of 2 where I had requested. Staff, while I understand has been very difficult to hire, needs more training. We saw maitre D trying to serve mains before appetizers were cleared and table set. There was clearly no space at the table. We also saw the busser delivering dishes to wrong tables, serving it at the edge of the table then quickly walking away without explaining what it was. On to the food - overall not bad but certainly not worth the price. > Foie gras terrine was good but nothing special as the “toast sticks” seemed pre-made and stale. > Lyonnaise salad was nice and clean. > Wild boar rillette was delicious as was the beef tartare. The latter definitely being the highlight and one of the best I’ve had in Vancouver. > Lamb rack was disappointing. It was more of a chop (so much so the busser called it a ribeye then a pork chop before running away). Cook was very inconsistent. We heard a table send it back because it was too raw. My husband had one very raw piece, one decently cooked and one almost well done. The flavour profile also didn’t lend itself to being French imo but more ethnic (maybe Cumin like spices). I felt the only French thing about it were the puy lentils. > Creme Brulee, a classic, was quite good. The dish itself was a bit shallow which provided lots of crackling in the beginning but by the end was a bit too much. There’s much improvement to be had and I think I’ll stick with other French restaurants in the city.

Sounds like a broken record but start with Beef Tartare for sure, it's a crowd pleaser. Grab cocktails to start too and take your time with the wine list - it's all French wines - and ask for help from the friendly staff if you need it. From there we each enjoyed our dishes and look forward to another visit to try more... Chocolate Fondant for dessert. Won't explore more though, definitely want that again.

Amazing service and top notch cuisine. The staff was all lovely. The 12 oz steak frites were amazing. Lamb was great. Cream puff and creme brulle was also amazing. I ate here 3 days in a row lol

Had the best dining experience here last night, the food was absolutely amazing, quality ingredients and taste and wonderful ambience. Thank you so much to our server, Juanita who took great care of us and was so friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable and gave us amazing recommendations! Will definitely return to try more items on the menu. You can read my full review on the Alouette Yelp page!

Missed the mark. I brought my in laws to Alouette as we were looking to try this new new restaurant. I can’t remember what was in this space before, but there are elements of the prior establishment still in the decor, but this has nothing to do with the restaurant itself. Anyways, the service was good, and it had that true to French attitude of no subs or alterations to the menu which is fine, but overall for the price, the food was lacking execution for quite a few of their dishes. As reported by others the steak tartare table side is a standout appetizer. The portions are very good, but for what you are paying and what you expect there are other established players in the space that you may wish to consider first. Of course as a newer restaurant there are always things to be worked out. Personally, I would hold off on another visit at this time.

French onion soup had a strange taste, chicken looked like it was portioned out then frozen then cooked.. was ridiculously over priced.

Very, very slow service. Took over 30 minutes to get each cocktail. Our dinner ended up taking over 3 hours, we regretted ordering mains as we ran late for our other plans.

Lovely experience at this restaurant! The staff was very friendly upon arrival and our waitress was very attentive. The food was delicious! The decor was top notch, down to the plates. It’s also wonderful to see a French restaurant with some vegetarian options. The mushroom vol au vent was out of this world. I am not vegetarian myself but occasionally order vegetarian meals and this meal was definitely in my top 10! Looking forward to returning. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Delicious. Some of the best duck I've ever had. Comfortable seating.
