Takes me down the memory lane of the trip filled with pizza, gelato and pasta. Great ambiance, tasty food and there are always the gelato and cannoli to satisfy the sweet cravings. ???? A pretty popular spot pre-covid, can’t remember if they take reservations.

November 2021 4★ Eataly is a shopping experience on its own. Your looking at fresh pasta made on the spot for take home. A hip hopping place for both dine in and even just for shopping. Lots of options to choose from with reminisce of Italy. A nice place to shop, but prices are on the higher end.

Jennifer Y

Great shopping experience. Lots of food and dessert options. You can park downstairs and if you spend $50 or more, 2hr of your parking fees are free. Small spaces at the restaurants in there so if you need to seat a larger party you might want to book in advance.

AlanaSophia

Love the selection and the staff politeness, and damn the freshly made pizzas are amazing! It's a great spot also where you can find rare Italian goodies AND freshly made cheese. The ambience is superb and I love the natural light. The biggest issue is that stuff here is quite pricey snd parking is expensive, thank goodness for the parking validation. And even then you'd need like 50 bucks before they validate it. Still, a fun place to come with the family.

I had a really great experience here on the outdoor patio! All of the staff are very nice and very kind and all are wearing masks for safety right now!! Laura is the best server/staff, so I hope you have her! But the rest of the staff are super lovely!! There is a large menu and variety for vegetarian and anyone else with dietary needs. The food was all really great even dogs were allowed on the patio! Inside the store there are so many different products you can buy for it such a great selection highly recommended!

Went here on a Saturday for lunch with a few other girls to catch up and eat, specifically at La Pizza & La Pasta. Got to try quite a few dishes and I would give it a 4/5 overall. The overall vibe of Eataly is fun and I enjoyed browsing the shops but I wasn’t blown away by the dishes. I felt compared to the pricing it was just OK but I would come back to try it again.

Lovely spot. Food quality is decent although I would say the best thing about this place is the atmosphere. Beautiful outdoor patio setup that surprisingly blends in well with the busyness of the Bloor & Yonge area.

I cannot stress enough how much I love this place. It is still a underestimation to call our experience mind-blowing! The visual merchandising is awesome, more in installation art style (a million star for whoever in charge!). Everything is so fresh, lively, busy and so much filled with life. Prepare yourself for a good time shopping for grocery here! The meat counter was full of fresh stuff, not melting/loose meat as those months-old packs in the supermarket- for the relatively same or very reasonable price. Cheese counter and cured meat counter have the best selections. We got all types of burrata there - my tip: please take the ones that look more perishable/ lightly packaged because that’s the fresh stuff you wanna get! We got to buy a truffle oil bottle, but will get the real white truffle next time. They also have a collection of all pickled olives you can dream of. I adored their craft beer collection, it’s the next level and definitely our go-to place for all our alcoholic Fridays now haha! There is a cooking class (or cuisine experience event) happening when we were there. We are sooo keen on joining it asap! There are fresh pasta, readymade crust for pizzas and all the chili hot sauce or peperoncino sott’olio nearby the pastry counter. The only thing weird to me was why the THICK pizza crust? I was expecting to be able to get the typical thin crust that Italian people usually have but couldnt get it here. Overall, grocery shopping here is like an entertainment experience you will get to enjoy twice- once when you do the shopping and once when you get to cook the great stuff you bought. Bravo Eataly for the mindblowing experience :)

Clam

Incredibly disappointed in the price to quality ratio. The lasagne was tiny and dry, yet cost over $20. The beef ragu was decent but still nothing special. Considering how they have a store full of fresh ingredients, I expected better even for takeout.

Sanam Bakhshi

An amazing Italian grocery store. The first floor is a cafe where they sell some baked goods and coffee. The second floor is the grocery. There are regular every day items and specialty items. A good selection of cheeses and cured meats. There's even baked bread. The produce section is pretty but a bit pricey compared to regular grocery stores. There is a pretty extensive wine collection. There is a dessert area where you can buy coffee or inhouse made tiramisu or panna cotta. The pasta selection is extensive. There is a pizzeria as well. I tried the burrata although I put mine in the oven for a bit. Also tried the salami. Both were pretty good. This store is dangerous. There are so many interesting things to try.

Nice environment, great pizza and bread - although quite expensive. The service at the upstairs coffee shop is very slow, so be prepared to wait several minutes even if there are 3 or 4 people in line. Anyway, this is a nice place for an outing especially if you get a table by the window.

Dong Wu

Great food great atmosphere. Definitely not cheap but worth going to. I wish our table wasn't in the walkway it really felt like we were shoved in to a spot as an opportunity for more seating. Other then the table situation this is a 5 star review.

glogirlsmile

The place where you can buy good quality of Italian groceries, such as fresh pasta, dry pasta, wine, fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses , dairy, meat, seafood and charcuterie. I recommend the tiramisu, mushroom pizza and Caprese focaccia sandwich, which I buy when I visit the Eataly every month.

Bryan Vanderkruk

I can't believe we haven't gone here before! We visited the location in Vegas and it was very nice, but this deli and Italian grocery blew us away. Gorgeous selection of prosciutto and Salamis, a massive array of cheese and parmigiana, and a ton of take home pastas and sauces. The on-site brewery is great and we loved the experimental brews they had available for flights. The pizza and pasta for dine-in were very good, but probably the least impressive part of the experience. We are coming back next time we need to build a charcuterie and cheese board!

Eataly really does takes you on a little trip to Italy. The setup is beautiful. If you enter through the main entrance you immediately see the hanging pots and pans that looks like an art installation. It is a great background for a quick photo from the 2nd floor balcony. It may seem a bit much at first since the whole setup is of a grocery store/restaurants/cafe/seating areas, all in the same space. However, once you get used to the setup, it does feel like an experience in itself. Be it a stroll through the dry pasta section, or between the shelf of EVOO, or the cheese section, the items for sale will keep you captivated but so will the surroundings. I got the Latte Macchiato from the cafe and sat on one of the soft seating areas next to it, looking out the glass walls at the Christmas decorations of Bay Street as I sipped my Latte. I spent the entire evening browsing and shopping for ingredients and some gifts for my friends. Let’s be honest - who wouldn’t like some great dessert or chocolates or even cheese? For dinner we went to La Pizza & La Pasta. I had the Margherita which was really good.

This tiramisus is AMAZING!!!! Creamy! And there isn’t too much sugar added! Tasted like a mixture of cheese and egg white. Don’t by that small lasagna. The noodle is a bit dry and hard to chew. (But the meat sauce is tasty)

Lovely Italian market in the heart of the city with good restaurant food. Very nice patio and seating vibes

Food is good, the ambient is really cozy and reminds me of Italy, but prices aren't fair. The espresso isn't well made, for the same price there are better places to eat/drink coffee at the area. Deserts tasted like they were made more than a day ago.

The patio on the Bay Street is really nice and we enjoyed the atmosphere overall. Cocktails were pretty good. However, pizza was a bit of a disappointment. The dough was very fatty, thick and wet. It wasn’t crispy at all. Maybe it’s a special recipe, but it’s not to my taste. I expected pizza to be perfect here. The bread and olive oil, which they serve prior to pizza was perfect though ????

Ramy Zhang

Trattoria Milano from Eataly great options for vegans although plate sizes a bit small. My favourite risotto with funghi $23 . Pasta dish was really small.

Very underwhelming experience overall. $24 portion of pasta was disappointing and the flavour left little to enjoy for our take out order. The carbonara was salty and wasn’t very familiar. In this respect, I’d love to have our money back but during these times it’s better just not to make the same mistake twice… On the market side, obviously there are some premium products available and some deals to be had too. We look forward to making our own to our complete satisfaction lol.

Wonderful spot in downtown Toronto! Part market, part wine store, part deli all surrounded by wonderful restaurants. Reservations recommended as all restaurants were full on a Thursday night.

maryam G

Fresh and top quality produce! My husband and I got their preserved meat sticks, some produce, Brie cheese and raw but fresh shrimp! They have a very large variety of meats, cheeses, fresh handmade pasta that you can see being made, pizza, and even desserts! A café downstairs with some amazing lattes we got and helpful staff with uplifting attitudes. Some will argue, “it’s too pricey”, but the money goes into the quality, freshness and how organic majority of the things are. Hand-crafted cheeses, traditional meats, freshly caught fish that doesn’t reek. Definitely coming here again! Thanks Eataly!

Melissa Donato

Had a wonderful experience in the Pizza al Padellino cooking class with Chef Roberto. Roberto was engaging and super knowledgeable. I could’ve talked to him for hours about food! The class set-up was clean and well-organized. They also give you a very generous amount of ingredients and food to take home. Highly recommend.

Nathan

Always amazing service, always amazing food. Love eataly and will definitely be back!

Subpar dinner. Pasta was hard and didn’t taste that good. Beet salad could’ve used more beets and less arugula. Only pro was that food arrived quickly despite it being busy.

Such a beautiful store/market. They have a variety of pizza and gelato which looks absolutely delicious and the whole atmosphere inside is wonderful, I go there to buy certain types of pasta and tomato sauce, as well as some special pastries. Give it a visit and I’m sure you will love it!

Portions are good sized. All the food is delicious and service is pretty good too. Overall place has a really nice vibe with a mix of upscale and still relaxed.

Eataly was generally really good! Great pizza and pasta. Conveniently, I wasn't very hungry when I came so the small portion of the mezzalune was exactly what I wanted. My friends had ordered the pizzas and generally liked them. The service was good, the restaurant itself was a bit loud. We tried to get a reservation for the patio, but couldn't. There were good veggie options. The bread they brought before our meals was only okay. And I wish they had balsamic vinegar with the olive oil.

Simplicity at its best, delicious desserts. Authentic Italian pizzas and pastas. Can make vegan pizza/ pasta without the cheese. Would love to see in future a better Vegan menu. Good selection of Italian wines. Great place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables along with cheeses, Italian Wines, freshly made pasta and a whole host of Italian sauces spices and delectable foods. They also have gelato and cannolis and freshly baked focaccia and other breads. A good place for shopping or a relaxing luncheon or dinner and even for a coffee break with light snacks and pastries.

Service. The difference maker. Pricier than you'd expect. I've heard about this place from many people and the market is everything you heard. Fresh. Quality and Reasonable. When we visited the Le pizza Le Pasta restaurant, it was very busy and for good reason. The wait took about 35-40m on off hours (4:00pm) and the menus by the front are not in English making a difficult for a non Italian to know what they're in for or if it's worth the wait. Spoiler. It was worth it. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Many different servers checked up on us and reassured us in the case of a mild delay on our wine. They gave recommendations, tried to accommodate food restrictions and were very pleasant. The pizza was Very thin and difficult to keep together on the first pull, but once you get used to it was incredibly tasty and light. The mushroom sauce on the enocci was delicious and made a rather unappetizing look taste incredible. Finally the wine was much better than I was expecting and the person who ended up serving us was very informative as well. Overall it was a wonderful experience and my friends who I took with me (who are very picky) enjoyed it as well.

Solid casual Italian with a high price tag. Patio is nicely spaced out and covered. The leafy green dividers and string lights make it nice. Review for Patio: - best item is the mussels! The largest, plumpest fresh mussels I've ever had, and the sauce is good - beets - ravioli with pear and ricotta, duck ragu - complimentary bread - resos recommended! The wait-list was ~40 mins on a weekday (4pm)

There's better ways to spend your money than coming to Eataly, but if you do you might as well light it on fire. Groceries are extremely overpriced for "Italian". I've been in authentic Italian grocery stores and it does not cost anything like this. Save your time, save your money. Avoid.

Eataly is an experience. There is a mixture of stores selling specialty cheese, meats and other houseware as well as a few cafes, restaurants and a place to get gelato. I had their pizza and it was pretty good.

Absolutely love this store, they have a huge variety of items that are truly authentic, cheese, meat, fish, sweets, kitchen tools, decor, pizza, cannolis, gelato, wine, drinks and so much more! They have a lot of different stations that offer grab and go items as well as grocery store items to take home to cook with. Prices can be a bit on the higher side, but I’ve never found another place that has the variety like Eataly does. You could spend hours browsing the store and stop for a bite at one of their many restaurants!

Silas

What a great supermarket! Only complaint I have is for the prepared chilled food, there are no reheating instructions on the packaging and the counter payment staff did not know (she did check with kitchen and provided me the details). Would’ve been much easier if it was just printed on the box.

Claire Hoon

Nice spacious patio and good customer service. However, this place is pricy and their food portions are very small! They also have an odd policy. They give out paper menus but refuse cash payments! There are so many more affordable and nice patios in Toronto I would recommend. Location is central but busy and hard to find a parking spot if you are driving.

A little overcrowded but fun to shop and grab some food. Less overwhelming than the one in new york. It would be nice if people used the table for eating and drinking. Some of the tables were occupied with justt people hangingout or on their laptops.

I've been wanting to visit Eataly's Toronto location for a long time and finally got a chance to do so for lunch. I loved that they have both the takeout and dine-in options, while also offering a wide selection of Italian products. From fresh produce to fresh pasta to classes and much more - Eataly is the place to go for gourmet Italian food. We tried the pasta sit-down restaurant. We first filled out the covid form for contract tracing then ordered some pasta and a Margherita pizza. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many vegetarian options on the menu. We opted for a half-moon pasta stuffed with arugula and made with lemon butter, topped with pistachios. I never tried pasta with pistachios before but it worked well. I loved that the food came pretty quick. Everything was served hot and fresh. The pizza was also very tasty. Can't wait to come back to try more things here.

How much fun is this place! So many great products. Bought, to name a few, Parmesan, limoncella, burrata, fresh baked bread. Dinner that night was delicious. Food that lets the flavours come through. Wow. Picture of Italian flour, their secret weapon. :)

This review is for their patio restaurant called Il patio di Eataly. The place was cute and the servers were nice but thats about it. Prices were high for small mediocre Italian food. It looked tasty but It was bland. The only thing I enjoyed was the Aperol spritz tbh. I’ll probably wont go back.

We are at the bar. ambiance was great. Bartender, lance helped us with wine selection, which we were very pleased with! The food quality was poor, especially the mixed salad. It had no flavour, no olive oil and lacked balsamic and salt. Couldn’t eat much of it. When the bartender asked how it was, I advised him it wasn’t good. He apologized but neglected to take off our bill. There was only one vegan choice for pasta and so I had to order the squid ink pasta with shrimp. There were plenty of shrimp but over cooked. The pasta was also over cooked!!!! For 34 dollars, I expected it to be better. My friends pasta was great. In closing, wine was good and one out of two pasta was good. After we paid our bill, Lance asked how the food was, knowing the salad wasn’t touched. He replied… oh next time we will look after you!!!! Don’t think there will be a next time!!!
