Good food, good atmosphere, but the service is not always what it should be or what one expects from the Keg. The person who served us on this particular visit wasn't interested in giving my guests any straight answers and kept pushing them or better to say in some instances bullying them into a choice! 4 stars is based on my overall experience with this location throughout the years, if it would only be based off the latest experience, 1 or 2 stars would be more fair.

Best ribeye I've had in the city for far. It never disappoints. When I want the best steak I come here. They are always able to accomodate my allergies and food sensitivities with utmost care. Food is always so delicious. I love that they have a complimentary birthday dessert.

I liked the steak and the sides. The staff were very responsible and at the end they brought us piece of cake for our wedding anniversary. I think the price is fair based on what you get.

I've been to various Keg locations over the years but the mansion is still the best experience. A bit of old Victorian charm adds to the steakhouse vibe vs the downtown and suburban "trendy" modern style the rest of the chain evokes. The food. I ate it ALL. oink or should I say moo?... better deal than Mortons, Barberians or Ruth Chris but well, there is a difference in quality ???? but hey, I are it ALL. I'm hungry again. I wished their sour dough bread was as soury delicious as I remember it as... with ice cold salted butter... ooooh....

The likelihood of getting a table without a reservation here is quite low, and for good reason. The service is excellent, while the atmosphere is filled with laughter and good conversation. This is a place that you go out on a date or have a relaxing time with business partners or friends. The steaks are done well (or well done if you prefer). It's no longer listed on the menu but one can still order a Keg sized 24oz prime rib steak. Visit the place for the haunted setting or for a nice steak hangout.

We had our anniversary dinner here. Very cozy place with lots of different rooms that are dimly lit with simulated candle light. Makes for a good spot to have a romantic dinner with a significant other. The service was amazing as well.

Came here with some girlfriends for a girls night and we had a great time! The restaurant has an intimate vibe and very friendly staff. They told us about the history of the "haunted mansion" and were overal very attentive. The food was good as usual, especially the sesame tuna

This was a great dinner on the usual Keg style. That is great service, steaks and drinks. We didn't have a reservation but with Covid restrictions it would have been a good idea. The seating is socially distanced so noticeably less seating. Service was terrific and staff very friendly.

Was a patron with 3 of my friends for my 23rd Birthday recently. As usual, there was a 40 minute wait for the dining room, so we elected to sit in the lounge. We were seated right away adjacent one of the large screen Tv’s playing the hockey game (important later on). Timing of our waiter was impeccable, and he made sure to check whether the special drink I requested was actually available before ordering I for me (as he understood that I’ve had that issue before). This showed me that he cared for my dining experience and would take the time to make sure my order was correct. One of my friends was a little less familiar with the keg’s menu than the rest of us, and our waiter graciously and with great care explained and answered any of his questions. For the rest of us, he took our orders with impeccable confidence while commending our excellent choices; asking if, but not in any demanding way, whether we would like any upgrades that were avaliable. He politely asked if we would like some bread and butter as we waited for our appetizer, and the staff made sure we were well served with fresh bread until our appetizer arrived. The Calimari was excellent, my usual go-to appetizer. Nothing to write home about, but decent portion for the 4 of us. Once the meals were served, my 10 (or 8oz?) oz Fillet Mignon was a little lacking on the back on wrap. However the steak itself was impeccable, easily the best Fillet Mignon I’ve ever had. Good to a beautiful medium-medium-well, just like I like it, full of flavour. The sauce was... acceptable, not a fan of suave on my steaks unless it’s the original brown sauce. Instead I used the sauce for the peppers, and was delighted to find it masked the flavours I didn’t like in them. The main part of the meal for me is the Twice-baked potato! Not much to say here, recommended by my sister, and my personal favourite accompaniment, it was flavourful and delightful, and capped off an excellent meal. During the meal, the house had the hockey game on the nearby Tv, and as our waiter came by to check on us, he would stop for a moment and engage in some banter about the game. There was one particular scene where one player got absolutely ridden into the boards, and had to leave, and together, the 5 of us commented on the replay! Not only did our server make us feel welcome in the lounge, but he made us feel as not only guests, but good friends, talking about how his friends like certain teams and recounting stories about past “incidents”! Definitely an special experience for my special night!

The best Keg in Toronto. They don't take reservation in the weekends. So give your self 30 minutes extra and enjoy a drink while you wait in the lounge on the 2nd floor.

Although our waiter was spread a little thin due to staff shortages he made sure our needs were met and then some. The food all came out as it should and was fantastic. Steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster succulent. Will return next trip to Thunder Bay.

Disappointing and less than great service. Med rare steaks were rare, service was slow and forgetful. First time back since covid and the New York was a thin slice of its former self under cooked and overpriced. Sorry but not the steakhouse it used to be by a mile. Sides were cold , potatoes and veg and the steak was not evenly cooked . Kitchen staff need to return how to prep and serve food. Other places to over pay for better meals in thunder bay.

We've been here for our son's 19th birthday, and the food was amazing, steak cooked to perfection, staff was attentive and the occasion was really nicely celebrated. If you come here for the birthday they really work on making it special for you! Also, we tried their 3$ small desert menu, it was much more worthy than that price, but I'm glad to see the restaurant finally start offering normal, smaller size deserts for reasonable price.

The Keg in Thunder Bay maintained its same consistency with its chain in Toronto as well and that was good for me and my husband as well as our friends. We enjoyed every bit of the evening as well as the food and the service. Every food was prepared deliciously and we just KNEW that we would definitely make this a fave spot for us to hang out to eat. The ambience is fantastic for relaxing as well and having great conversation. Keep up the good work Keg! ????????

Steak restaurant with nice atmosphere. Came here on a Wednesday night for dinner and it was very crowded. There is a parking lot (free) but limited spaces. Might want to make a reservation. We ended up eating in the lounge, which has the same menu.

Delicious food and great service. We tried the baked brie and the escargot for starters. Highly recommend to try the baked brie! For the main course we ordered a sirloin and lobster, they both were prepared properly and were delicious.

This was my second time dining at the Keg Mansion and I must say both times were amazing. The food is delicious. Staffs are friendly, the atmosphere is also great and the history of the place is out of this world. On the first floor is the dining area, the second floor have a sports bar and restrooms, and the third floor is restricted. I read that it is said to have a ghost living up there lol. Took my wife for her anniversary there and she loved it and she's quite picky. But she loved it. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dining experience. I love the romantic feel.

One of the beat steak place. I went with 3 other to celebrate ones birthday. They all loved it. They have a-lot of drinks. Food was great. One among us was vegetarian he tried cauliflower steak that one was really good. The ambience is super cool perfect for any occasion. Free parking available in downtown thats rare. We were served with cake at the end because of birthday. Wait time is bit longer and reservation not available on weekends. They give you a buzzer so you can roam around get drinks when your table is available it will light up and vibrate. Overall it was a great experience.

Had a nice experience at the restaurant when I attended during a work visit for the city. Our waitress was Hillary. She did a fantastic job at attending the table and taking care of everything we request Ed. She had a positive personality that's to laugh at certain times during our interactions which adds to the experience. Meal was served to order, bread on the table was hot. The food was served order and tasted great. Like most Keg's, the prices are expensive but if you go on an infrequent basis then it makes that appreciation much higher. Would definitely return.

I went there for my birthday. We got a reservation. The food was really good and they gave me a complimentary dessert. The only thing I didn’t like was the lighting. It was really dark and I couldn’t see the menu properly. But, I requested more light in the table and they helped me. The staff is nice and helpful.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The have good stories about the ghost wandering the halls of the mansion. The food itself is delicious, the steak and lobster tail is what I ordered. The steak was cooked to perfection paired with mashed potatoes as my side and 2 lobster tails with flavoured butter. Couldn't ask for a better meal for the evening. The decor is beautiful, keeping most of the original design. I would love to go again.

Dont know what has happened to this place. The photos attached shows prime rib that is supposed to be med well. The potatoes were once cold and the beef also. After sending it back THREE yes...Three times I gave up. Although the meal was complimentary in the end. It did nothing to encourage me to return. My dinner guest had a steak that was like sawdust. Supposed to have been rare. The Keg use to be the go to place for prime rib and steaks. They dropped the ball here....big time.

Delicious food! I went for a company lunch and got the salmon with a side of lobster, with calamari and baked garlic shrimp starters. Beautiful mansion, it makes you feel like royalty! Service is great, very kind. Definitely pricey but worth it.

The Keg Mansion is one of the, if not the best, Keg location in Toronto. It is in a classic historical building in the east end and the food is incredible. Steaks, seafood, and very fast service, as well as, charming bar locations throughout the restaurant. The staff accompanies the food in beautiful and fast accolades. It is a must if visiting a keg in Toronto. Get the surf and turf.

Great if you want a romantic date with your partner. For some reason people feel the need to bring their entire family with little kids. One time I was there a lady brought her newborn in a stroller there... I wouldn't call this place family friendly past 9pm but that doesn't stop them. It is expensive but tasty. Very dim lighting with candles. Dessert was great.

Service was excellent as well as the food. Ordered the Top Sirloin (Med Rare) & Lobster Tail. Both came out amazing. Steak was full of flavor and melts in your mouth, lobster was delicious as always.

Good things first: excellent service, steaks were excellent, appetizers were very good. Areas for improvement: my wife's lobster was raw. Not undercooked or badly cooked, it was raw. She asked me to try it, totally disgusting. I've never had raw lobster before, and hope to never have it again. The waitress took the price of the lobster off the bill and offered us free dessert. We accepted taking the lobster off, but declined the dessert. So stick to the steak, pass on the lobster.

Beautiful interior and as it stands differently than all Kegs, it makes it more appealing to come here. It does get very busy so a reservation is recommended. It has multiple rooms that can seat numerous guests. The food here is like all kegs and pricing does not differ as well. Staff is friendly/knowledgeable and food comes out quick. There isn't any background music here (or it may be very low volumed) and hence makes it cozy.

Went early and had no problem getting a seat. As it being my wifes first time there, we were seated in a romantic corner. Was able to walk around the building before it got to crowded, what an awesome place to see. Our server was outstanding, food was quick n hot. What a great way to start our Saturday night date night.

Amazing people and service. Specials on cocktails everyday. It’s a bit pricey but comes with a fancy mansion. I always go to the lounge, I love the couches area. Highly recommend. Cool place for groups as well but they don’t take reservations for Friday and Saturday. I was always lucky and always found a good spot though. Try the tartare.
