Far east is very good value for the money Dishes are huge. A dinner for two is large enough for 3 or 4 people. This is our go to place when we decide to go out for Chinese.

I have been coming here since the 70's. Must be a family business. I live in the states but come over every weekend until covid hit. After the border closed I swear I was going through withdrawals. I love this place. The meal has always been tasty and hot. Over time I got to know the waitresses,Jen Joanne and Cecilia. I've missed them all. After a year and a half I got back there last weekend. Yummy!! See you this weekend.

Horrible experience, tonight I ordered lemon chicken and it was so unappealing it looked like fish. It was soggy, the chicken was tough not tender, caked with oil on it. We called the restaurant to see if they can switch it out with something else and she no I can’t do that for you and was very rude about it. We asked to change it out for sesame chicken and she said no we can’t do that because it’s not the same price. What a greedy family!! Won’t be ordering back here again!

Nice mom and pop restaurant with daily specials. Food is amazing, the dinner for 2 special really feeds 4, theres tons of food. The chicken chow mein is the best I've ever had and the won ton soup is delicious. Reasonable pricing and lots of parking.

Great food. Never ate in, always did take out. Depending on the day your time to pick up is always not accurate. We have had 5pm pick up and had to wait 15ish minutes more.

Expensive, though to give them their due, it's pretty decent food. However, I have a huge problem with "cash only" delivery where the drivers don't carry cash to make change. She said she didn't even have any cash at all on her. Why in the world would they not be able to make change? I had to go to the corner store in order to get change! Ridiculous. I'm certainly not ordering from there again.

We got the "chicken balls" combination Which wasn't terrible but wasn't good. But we also got pork wontons (according to the girl on the phone she said they had pork in them) there was zero pork in them. They were literally deep fried wonton wrappers with nothing in them. The food is extremely disappointing. Also, we are staying in a hotel and they gave us no forks so we can't even eat the rice. Save yourself the disappointment and order from somewhere else.

We placed a large take out order, and despite how busy they were, it was ready quite promptly. Everyone in our dinner party enjoyed the dishes very much. Everything was absolutely delicious. Fresh and full of flavour. We will definitely be back soon! Excellent place.

Was very unsatisfied and appalled with the service I received here today. Received two meals that I paid over 40 dollars for to receive like 4 chicken balls out of a platter that I’m supposed to receive 6, green peppers and beef with no beef and overfilled my damn container with rice to cover the fact that they barely gave me the other parts of the food that was missing. The owner had NERVE to tell me to “drive back for two chicken balls” like how ignorant are you? I will never again order from you guys, and it’s a shame because I recommended lots of people to you.

Messed up on our order. Brought it home when we realized. Had to go back ..they made sure we returned everything before Getting our order as if they are going to give the order to waitung customers. Terrible if they did as we had the food out on our table when we realized it was wrong. No apologies for waisting our time . Food was average at best .

Best Chinese food in Niagara Falls. Our favourite dishes are the BBQ fried rice, dried ribs and Cantonese Chow Main. Nice service as well. We only get take out but the restaurant is always busy.

I want to shine some light on this restaurant as other reviews were not very thorough. The cleanliness of this restaurant was average, but I could clearly see that there was no cleaning done during the day, which deteriorated the cleanliness of the establishment as the day went on. The food has a large amount of MSG, which is a decent substitute for salt, but my family does not like anything like that and the preparation of the food is questionable. Our waiter was very rude and did not have a great understanding of the English language. This could experience could have varied between people though. I would not recommend this as there are better restaurants in Niagara Falls.

They are quick and priced fairly. Most of their menu items are exactly what you expect and will definitely satisfy that chinese food craving. Note the ribs are breaded and smothered in sweet and sour sauce.

I am fairly certain they are temporarily closed, we have driven by and called several times and they aren’t opening during their “open” or other reasonable operating hours. Bummer, because they have good food but hopefully they’ll be back soon :)

Everything including the vegetarian dishes tastes like pork lard. They handle cash and don’t disinfect their hands before handling your food order. They don’t have the option for tap on the interac machine and it’s gross to touch given how many customers have touched it to pay as well.

Good prices for a lot of food. I only have one complaint: I always find strange things in my food. Often when I order vegetable fried rice I find a piece of meat in it and I can't eat meat. Same with other vegetarian dishes. That really grosses me out.

I have been a long time customer. Not sure what happened but it was absolute rubbish! They forgot something in the order(mistakes happen) I spoke with the owner (she was rude) She asked if I wanted the item delivered and I replied yes please, and she hung up on me. Not even an apology!! This is not the same Far East I used to rave about ????

Very tasty. Lots of spices, so be careful. $1 discount if no wasted food for buffet. Naan is fresh and delicious. Definitely a great deal at $16.99 for a buffet near the falls.

Horrible service!! Went there November 24, 2017 on a Friday night. Was my inlaws 34th anniversary. We were all standing inside waiting for service, finally after 5 mins someone told us to sit at one of the round tables. We sat there for 20 mins not one person came over to say there were busying, or even gave us some drinks. So we all got up and left, not one person even tried to stop us. It’s a shame because they have good food. Have eaten there many times before, now will not support the horrible service!

We have eaten there and the food is spectacular. On this night we were told that because we were a party of eight that our bill would automatically reflect a gratuity based on the size of our party even though we were paying three separate bills. Management told us we had no choice but to pay it. We decided to leave without being served.

Absolutely the best Chinese food in Niagara region! It is always busy especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Locals definitely know this place. If you are from out of town and want really tasty Chinese food this is the place to go. You must order and try the "house specialty chicken" dish. There are other Chinese food restaurants closer to me but I will make the extra drive for this place. Friendly staff, always clean inside, and fair prices.

Terrible. Just waited for over half an hour. Was served chop suey instead of chow mein and were told we were wrong that vegetable chow mein didn’t have noodles in it. I speak Mandarin Chinese and mein literally translates to noodles. Other beef dish had a HAIR in it and we were told it would be another half hour for a new dish. Left in disgust and were charged anyway. Waitress was also very rude when we pointed out the issues. Very disappointing. Would have given no stars if I could.

Drove through here on the way back to Ottawa and stopped in randomly. Honestly one of the best Chinese restaurants (and I have dined at many). Nice and quick service and delicious food. Make sure you try the egg rolls they are made fresh in house. Authentic experience and prices and portions are fantastic.

Hmm usually these Chinese places in non-Chinese areas are pretty unremarkable, but I gotta say their beef & broccoli was delicious and their dinner meals are a great value. They fill up that plate to the brim with decent food and everyone's happy. The only thing we didn't LOVE was this breaded chicken dish (lemon?). And like most "Canadian-Chinese" places you don't get free tea. Everything else was perfect. They were open late and happy to serve us unlike some Korean place nearby that shut down early, and they also give WING's fortune cookies instead of some knock-off brands.

This is the only place I order Chinese food from. Wonton soup is phenomenal!! When we dine-in we always get the House Specialty Chicken(aka Generals Chicken). Cantonese chow mein is a great dish, it has noodles, mixed vegetables, chicken, shrimp and bbq pork. My father likes the singapore noodles. I like the lemon chicken and kung bo chicken and rice. Yumm. This post is making me hungry. LoL

The staff was nice, but the dishes did not taste good. The chicken chowmew came with bean sprouts only, no noodle at all. Everything is a bit salty. Though the quantity is good. Don't recommend this place.

Honestly one of the best Chinese takeout I've ever had. I ordered beef lo mein and it was brilliant. The service is also great. The young lady at the cash is extremely helpful and professional. Definitely going back.

Ok so since I left Ottawa some 25 plus years ago (don't want to reveal too much) it's been hard to find good Canadian Chineese food. I mean I live in Torono so of course there is good authentic Chineese but sometimes you just need the domesticated version and Fat East has it down!! From the House Chicken, to the Almond Soo Guy and last time we tried the Beef Beef (trying to make sure you know it's beef!) Ho Fun, a new favorite! But if you are only getting 1 or 2 dishes and don't mind a mild heat, there is some but it's certainly not crazy, then do try the House Chicken. It's tender and juicy and with the right mix of sweet and mild heat, it will be your favorite too. Don't complain to me though if you don't find it hot enough, I said it was a mild heat and if you are looking to have enflamed taste buds, this will NOT do it. I can't help you here for crazy spicy because my medication makes the taste buds too sensitive even to the mildest of heat. Enjoy, oh eggrolls and spring rolls are meh, nothing special, skip those and get two orders of the House Chicken!!

We ordered take out here for New Years Day. They had it setup for covid. I had a pick up time of 5pm. They were fast, had to line up outside, it was raining. Not their fault. Food was ok... Considering the amount of food they prepared and served. I'd try again. Sorry no photos.

Ordered Chicken Chow Mein and received beans sprouts with chicken. Called to notify the owner of the mistake and was told that this was the Cantonese style of the dish. I am Chinese and the last time I checked, mein = noodles. I did not appreciate being lied to. The owner also hung up on me because they did not want to rectify the situation. Not impressed by the service or the food.

Me and my family love this place , chicken balls are actually filled with a big piece of white chicken meat and the breading its so yummy; fried rice, beef etc everything is really good , the only thing it's the portions seems like a bit smaller .

Great service, quick and really yummy. Our fav out of all Chinese food restaurants in Niagara Falls. Portions are big so although it costs almost $60 for our family of 4 (including 3 males), the leftovers last for days. Totally worth it.

New years eve, having friends over, we decided to get Chinese, we picked Far East because the food is good, well I don't know what happened tonight but they won't get my business again, I called at 6pm to place an order, they said it won't be ready till 9pm, I Said that's a long time to wait but ok, I'll wait, 845pm I show up to at least 20 to 30 people waiting outside, we waited till 10pm when we finally got our food, we go home and open up the bag and everything is not our order, I called a complained and asked for my money back, I go back and bring back the food they gave me an they were outright rude, they accused me of not bringing back all the food, I brought everything back they gave me, I did receive my money back but I will never go back, I understand it's new years eve but what when on was not right

Waitress is rude. Don't offer free tea which almost any Asian restaurant does. Charge per cup. Having traveled and lived in China over 20 years I have become a critic of good and bad Asian restaurants. I haven't even tasted the food and have already rated the place. Food is a little better.

Terrible customer service experience. I called in an order at 5:15 and they told me it would be ready at 6:30 which seemed a bit excessive but I could understand they were busy. I arrived a little after 6:30 and they told me it would be another 5 to 10 minutes and that they would come get me when it was ready. I sat outside for another 20 minutes and then went in to ask about the ETA again. The lady I asked acted annoyed, turned her back on me without giving me an answer and went to cash someone else out. Two other ladies at the desk also would not give me an answer so I told them to cancel my order and left. When I walked out one of the ladies chased me down in the parking lot and told me my order was ready at which point i told them to keep the food and left.

Fast service for dine-in, food was delicious, and they have never disappointed with their takeout either. This is a pretty regular place for lots of Niagara residents, and with good reason. Bonus points for a huge parking lot and dining room!

We had previously visited this place in the past week. The Asian worker at the cashier was very cold, rude, and does not smile once. One part of the food was ok and tasted good, however the issue I had was that they did not give us napkins, forks, knives, or spoons with our takeout! In addition to this, they charge you for fortune cookies with your order, at 10 cents per cookie. How ridiculous can this restaurant really get? Does this place really need to make 10 cents per cookie where they really need this small amount of money, is this place really this cheap and needing to be that pathetic? Also, the noodles they served me were cheap instant noodles that were stuck together, and I had great difficulty putting them in my stir-fry, and on top of that they are very strict with serving sauces or any extras. They would not put sauce or anything on my noodles, and they were sticky and hard. They will not allow you to substitute anything and order any or add any extra sauce to your food! Every other Chinese or Asian restaurant which we go to serves fortune cookies at the end of every meal and they are flexible and nice. The fortune cookie from a Chinese meal is like the cherry on top of the sundae for desert. In addition to this, they did not even have any knives available for us for our takeout. No cutlery supplied, and fortune cookies at 10 cents per piece. Very ridiculous and cheap and we will not be returning. We will bring our service elsewhere, where the restaurant actually appreciates our business!

Would not recommend eating in. Food is good but the waitress we had and the manager we're very rude. I don't eat Chinese food very often so I always ask what comes in the dish. When I asked about the Cantonese lo mein noodles she didn't explain that it came with shrimp and vegetables. I don't like shrimp with my chinese food. When the dish came out and I questioned her she immediately got hostile and shoved the menu in my face saying I should have read the entire menu. Why did I even bother to ask her then. When I finally got to speak to the manager whom I thought would've been pleasant she just came over and started arguing with me. For a first time customer at that establishment I was only left with a bad experience. Never again.

Ordered take out, brought home $90 worth of Chinese, they forgot a dish and one dish was not the freshest like eating sand bad, No big problem. Asked if they could drop off the forgotten dish, they said no. Drove back to pick up the food we didn't receive, and the dish that was very overcooked to be replaced, no apology, whatever. No biggie. Asked if I could get a discount or a coupon for the trouble, manager responded "No. The food wasn't bad, we(*presumably the restaurant staff) ate it and it's perfectly fine" I responded "Well that's kinda gross." *Won't be back, nothing personal, even though I know they are the red enemy. I can still appreciate good service and food without bias, just not here, cause it doesn't exist.

Horrible service. We ordered a 8 person meal to go and came to pick it up and the lady had only prepared 4. They ended up arguing with us and vulgarly told us to leave and that we are lying. I have never ever seen such bad customer service. We have been regular customers for a while. They also demanded us to pay for the incorrect order and demanded they will contact police since it was considered "stealing". DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE

Ordered takeout for New Years dinner. Ordering process was smooth and quick. Given that it’s probably the busiest day of the year for their restaurant, pick up was a breeze and the food was delicious. Tremendous value for $$. Highly recommend!

This used to be my second favorite place for Chinese food. The last three times I called in an order, even asked them if they could repeat it, to make sure they had it correct, my order still ended up completely wrong. I finally called to complain the 3rd time they messed up my order and the owner took their employees word over mine, even though I could prove she was lying. The owner didn't care at all, I finally just told them I won't be ordering from them again, she didn't care about that either, probably because they're busy. If they keep treating loyal customers that have been going there for years like they treated me, they'll regret being so careless.

While my waitress was nice and the food was good (for the most part) she did not really explain what the spare ribs were like. I come from the U.S and to us spare ribs are not deep fried bones with barely any meat. I was very disappointed to have to pay for them (although i did not eat them) and also pay for the replacement of them for my meal. The manager that I spoke to regarding this was very rude. Will never go back there again.

Stop here only due to my best man being so hungover and he forced us to stop... No one in the parking lot so I wasn't impressed he made us stop here... Moral of the story! Don't judge a book by its cover! The food was fantastic! House chicken was amazing! Egg rolls were delicious! Portions were massive! Definitely will be going back next time in niagara and I'm so thankful my best man didn't know his limit

But I think they overbook I know it's New Year's night pick up food will always be kind of a nightmare especially nowadays but do not try to bite off more than you can chew. Was amazing, they had a crew of people surround me chanting that kung fu fighting song while I ate my wonton soup. Following this consumption of wanton soup Dwayne the rock Johnson entered the restaurant and proceeded to smash me through 15 tables, 18 windows, broke 5 chairs over my back and threw boiling oil in my face. I loved every second of it. After this I was served the main course which I ate out of the skull of a grizzley bear. If yoy can go here do it. You'll love it. I promise.

Good Food, Poor Service When we ordered at 4:30p.m. for an order that you said wouldn’t be ready till 8:30p.m. we were ok with that as we knew it was going to be a busy night. We arrive at the restaurant and then told that it’s going to be another hour on top of the 4 hour wait that you initially told us?! Sorry, but that’s just B.S. In addition when we picked up the hostess was wearing a questionable mesh mask that wouldn't protect against anything and made us uncomfortable. Wouldn't go again.
