I was at Cosmos today for the first time. Wow! It lived up to its reputation. The food was outstanding. Unfortunately, I was there when two ladies caused quite the scene and stomped out throwing five dollars at the server. I can’t believe during these unprecedented times two grown women would behave this way. It was busy but our server reassured us that it would just be a short wait and she was right. Hopefully when people go out to eat they have more kindness then these two women exhibited. In it together - support restaurants!

I informed the server of my food allergy when it was my turn to order. She basically told me I shouldn't eat there.???? Perhaps, food safety training is necessary for kitchen staff, if they do not know how to accommodate people who have food allergies. The server could also use some training on customer service as well, she made me feel very awkward in front of others at my table. On a good note, the food was tasty.

Amazing food! Recently, this has become one of my new favourite go-to places! Food always taste amazing and portions are very generous. However, I would only recommend dining in as they definitely have great and fast table service but it's such a popular spot for dining in that there is less priority for take-out orders. The typical 20-30 mins wait might be extended if they're busy (as they usually are) and you may be asked to wait a little bit longer. So overall, great spot for dine-in, but not so much if you're already hungry and doing a take-out (might as well dine in!)

I go every Sunday for breakfast and the food is amazing but I have to say that the service is questionable. Every time waitresses are under staffed and take forever to get our drinks. I always order 2 things and every single time either something is missed, something in the order is wrong or they completely forget. Last weekend I got my first breakfast but they forgot my crepe and this Sunday I got my create your own breakfast but the kitchen forgot about my panini until we were all already done and paying. Definitely need to staff at least 1 more waiter or waitress.

My Wife and i went and tried out this dinner after driving around Thorld from Niagarafalls looking for a decent place to eat.I must say the food was great even though my wife got the wrong order but she liked what she got so it worked-out.The service was ok seemed like the waitress was a little flustered.But everybody gets a bad day once in a while.We will comeback for sure and bring friends.

Only been here a few times but that's likely to change in the future. The staff was friendly and the food came quickly. Prices are reasonable for breakfast. The special has all the breakfast staples and is pretty good to boot. Fairly small place, but we've gotten a table right away each time. Imagine it'd get pretty busy in the early morning.

No wonder this place is so busy. The menu has one delicious offering after another. The Mediterranean Hash is to die for but then so is the Breakfast Poutine, the homemade Italian Sausage Skillet, the Stuffed French Toast ... not to mention the specials. There are 19 breakfast specials! One for every year they have been in business! I can't wait to see what number 20 will be!

our server was great. the food was alright. the over easy eggs were hard. our main concern was the lipstick stains on my coffee mug. one lip stain on either side of the mug. we told our server and she brought us a new cup. second my boyfriend found a long black hair mixed in with his eggs and hash browns . well hidden but it was still spotted. we took photos also.

The food is great here. Unfortunately the owner is a miserable person. If you catch her on the wrong day or at a bad moment you will be greated with a huff or a roll of her eyes. She is in customer service but seems to dispise people. We thought we had our weekly breakfast spot but will not be returning after our final interaction with the owner. The servers are great but unfortunately are only able to provide a level of service that the owner allows.

Been dropping in here for 20+ years. Just a great and extensive breakfast menu. The Eggs Benedict here are my favourite of all I've had anywhere. 17 selections for the Eggs Benedict alone. The home fries are also my favourite. Good service today. No issues.

Honestly its average at best. Cutlery was filthy, which was awful to see since the spoon came in the coffee - when we pulled it out it was crusted with gunk. However, the server was quick to apologize and replace the dishes and coffee. The eggs and pancakes and toast were great. The hash browns were mediocre, and the bacon and sausage were quite frankly terrible - the sausage looked like it had been cooked, refrigerated, and then deep fried . It had a hard crust that went through half the sausage. It could just be a bad day, and I didn't try their infamous stuffed French toast - judging by the pancakes it would be amazing. I wouldn't go there again for a traditional breakfast, but I'll probably try again for their specialty at some point.

Went there for the first time yesterday...I am so happy my girlfriend suggested this Diner...First off, I walked in sat down and right across from where I was sitting was the exact same kitchen table my grandparents had when I was a little girl...Brought back many happy memories....Loved the oldies decor and music...I felt so at home...The waitress was extremely friendly...and the best of all was the food...I had the breakfast poutine and it was to die for...was very hard to pick from the many great items from the menu...can't wait to go back...

I've gone to Cosmo's all the time while at Brock and the meat skillet is always fantastic. It's always hot and so big I usually have to take some of it home. I've grown to know the staff and the owners and it's evident that they take pride in their business. The owners are always there working every day and their consistency and attention to detail never seems to dwindle. We need more business owners like these two in Thorold, considering they have owned this business for like 20 years. They must be doing something right!

I came from Hamilton because I heard about how good this place and WOW was it worth it!! The food was so amazing and the owners were so friendly. After reading some reviews, I didn’t know what to expect but I seriously wonder what these people did to get such a bad experience. Found this gem on skip and had to try it. I was blown away! It was easily the best breakfast I have had in such a long time! The comet ( peanut butter and jam stuffed french toast, dipped in pancake batter then deep fried) is a must try, amazing take on an old classic. Corned beef hash is also amazing. So many amazing things to say about this place, but you should see for yourself!! Can't wait to order again and hopefully dine-in very shortly.

I liked this diner a lot! The interior was bright and colourful, with pictures of classic stars and vintage records adorning the walls. Even the fixtures gave the place a nice retro feel. The place is of a good size, but it wasn't crowded around 2pm on Saturday. The menu is huge, with so many options that you'll be inclined to come back to try something new. This visit we tried the breakfast poutine and breakfast lasagna as they sounded unique. Both were delicious and very filling, and were of good value considering the price. Overall, I'm looking forward to visiting again. This is a place you'd want to go whether you're looking for a nice nostalgic joint or hearty hangover food (I won't tell you which reason I came here for).

Went for breakfast this morning. Very upset with the meal. I ordered eggs Benedict with eggs cooks med.( as i hate runny whites) Get the meal it was not med. Asked if they could coom it more. Cook came out and sais that was there med. But they would do that. Already embarrassed by this i told them to just cancel it i didnt want it now. Hubby finished his meal and the cook came out with another plate...cooked the same way??? We got up and paid the bill and left my foos still untouched and not wanted. And the best part still had to pay for it.. Will nwver fo back... and it is a shame because i go there often. Will never recommend them. Poor customer service. If they didn't charge i would have been back. But that was insulting

I'm not one to post reviews but wow. My sister and I went in there this morning and there was one server working the whole place. She was very nice and that was the only good thing about this place. It was so dirty, coffee spilled all over the floor and no one cleaning it up. There was a hair in the bowl with the milk and cream. My sisters tea pot was filthy and our coffee Mugs had residue in them. We read the reviews from a year ago and they mentioned it being dirty and hair in the food, but figured we'd give it the benefit of the doubt a year later. It's still the same, we couldn't even stay to order food so we left the server $5 and went to a different place. *No scene was made what so ever. We politely and quietly got up and thanked the server before leaving*

I suppose I should have listened to my own advice, normally I read the negative reviews first, and see if there's a response from management. I decide whether or not I will attend at a establishment based on the manager owner's responses. My boyfriend suggested we go here, without me looking up reviews. Based on how the owner responds to criticism , it's suggest to me that any form of resolution at this establishment is likely not going to be favorable for the customer. Might I suggest to the owner that she curb her excuses and condescending tone when responding to constructive criticism from customers. With that being said, we arrived at Cosmos on Sunday morning at 10:06 a.m., Although our waitress was very friendly, she clearly didn't have her area well organized. There were four girls serving approximately eight or nine tables, you would think that service would not be a problem. We didn't receive our food until 11:07, we were actually packing up and ready to walk out at that time. When the food did arrive, I will admit that it was very good, cooked to my satisfaction, and I would definitely eat again had it not been for the fact that it cost us $47 for three people to eat! That's two adults and one six year old. That is ridiculous! Not in a lifetime should breakfast ever cost anywhere near $50. I got a breakfast bowl, my boyfriend got a create your own meal with five items, and my daughter did a child's create your own meal with 5 items. I suspected the bill to be about $30, not 50! I will admit that the fresh squeezed orange juice was a nice surprise, but definitely not worth almost $5 a glass! Even hot chocolate was ridiculously priced. Needless to say I will not be returning based on value and the incredibly slow amount of time it took to get breakfast. By reading the other comments, this seems to be a regular theme. It's sad, because their food is really good. Just not worth the time and money.

We saw that Cosmos Diner was voted #1 breakfast in Niagara and had to give it a try. We googled the time that it was open until on Fridays since we were heading out for a later breakfast and they were listed as open until 3pm. It was 1pm at this point so we headed over. We arrived at 1:15 to find out they close at 2. We figured 45 minutes was enough time for us to eat and leave. Our server immediately let us know that they were closing at 2 and was clearly not happy we were there. She was trying to hide the pure misery of our arrival, but it was not genuine. After she took our order she cane back and slammed our cutlery onto our table. After that she seemed to have been a bit more relaxed. Coming from the restaurant industry, we understand the dread of people walking in close to closing. But we just wanted to eat and leave and spend our money there. We ended up out of there right at 2 pm. We loved our food a lot, it was delicious and we will come back, but I feel like we maybe should have given our money to another business who actually wanted it that day. Sorry if we inconvenienced the server.

The waitress just yelled at me for seating myself. I didn't see the sign. Plus I'm 30 weeks pregnant. Who the heck yells at a pregnant woman for sitting. Ridiculous! Who yells at there customers period? It was nice to see other tables walk out too when they saw that. Poor customer service standards. Unacceptable! I will never step foot in there again.
