Perhaps they were busy however my clamchowder soup was cold, my gravy was cold, my fries were cold, the burger I had was cold and burnt and the bun was saugie. Maybe Friday's are not a good day to go?

Been here several times and have had a good experience so far. last time was an exception where I actually went out on Tuesday, I was informed that there was a special on Burgers on Tuesdays. it was only when my bill arrived that I was told that the burger that I ordered was not included in the deal. Nice pub feel with large portions of reasonably priced fare. Picture is only half of the sandwich I was served and it was mouth watering. We sat up in the "caboose" (my son loves trains) and we had a great little view of the restaurant. Would definitely return.

The last we went, we had a party of six and it took 45min for appetizers. We had to ask the server to stop the order on our mains because we just didn't have time to wait when they said it hasn't started yet. We used to have functions here with 10-15 people, and were always relegated to an area in the far back. Often without enough chairs or tables, and often we were forgotten about for refills, etc. We like the food and the staff are friendly and welcoming, it's just service is slow every time we've gone.

Good food but terrible service! Server only seemed to be talking to her Male customers. Never bothered to check back to see how our food was or whether we needed refills on our drinks. I had to chase her down to get more sauce. My appetizer arrived with my entree and it took over 30 minutes to receive our food and it wasn't busy at all. Really too bad because food is good. When she brought Bill's she never asked if we wanted desert. She assumed I was paying card set it up and dropped it on table so it timed out. We were really disappointed in how we were treated. I work in the restaurant industry and she needs to do the steps of service.

The fish and fries were great. Large fillet and light batter with fresh cut fries. Waitress seemed in a bit of a hurry, but overall, the service was great. We ate outside and we were far enough from traffic for a very quiet and relaxing lunch.

First time in. Great place to see a band play. Plenty of room to dance. This place gets busy so best to reserve a table ahead of time. Found it easier and quicker to order a drink from a waitress then to stand and wait at the bar from where I was standing at the devils island. Nachos are crazy huge too.

ppl raved online about the buffalo chicken salad - maybe I'm hard to please... but for the money - I wldnt get that again... it was an over-cooked dry piece of chicken that had been in the fryer too long... on top of a massive salad with blue cheese dressing... the proportions were wrong... there was no buffalo wing-taste to the salad at all... just a blue cheese tasting salad with a few really crunch pieces of chicken... but the service was great... the waitress was friendly and attentive... she kept us informed of the back-up in the kitchen... so overall - it was fine - but I won't be anxious to go back any time soon...

We attended an engagement party at Cat's Caboose. It was very well done. The servers attending the party did a great job checking with the guests and bringing out the hors d'oeuvre which were very yummy. The pizza had a thinner crust and was very tasty with pepperoni, bacon and mushrooms.

Took our waitress over 15 mins just to get our drinks. I looked around for her and she often too busy taking too ppl. There's a different between checking up on your customers and gabbing to friends at work. Perhaps you should hire more staff or more efficient staff that can actually do their job. Shouldn't have taken over 15 mins for our drinks. we left didn't order food and won't be coming back. Too bad BC it looked like a good place and very out dated and dark. Spruce up your restaurant and staff and maybe you'd get some new faces in your restaurant

Service is friendly and attentive. Beer selection is passable with all the usual Molson/Guinness/Heineken suspects plus a couple craft and local selections. Food was good though not exceptional. Daughter had the Mac 'n Cheese - which she raved about - while I had the Beef on Weck - which was merely good. Atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Music selection was eclectic with everything from Shania Twain to Outkast to Tragically Hip playing while we were there.

Great spot in St Catherine. Food was yummy and staff friendly. Had dinner there. Sweet potatoe fries, best I ever had. Was hoping to order the deep fried pickles but they had sold out. Nonetheless, my turkey and wife's chicken sammies where very tasty. Soup du jour was lobster bisque and it was awesome. Highly recommend.

I was born and raised in south Louisiana and had way too many Po-Boys to count. The Pulled Pork Po-Boy was tasty and I enjoyed the fried onions and fried pickle on the side. My only gripe is that it was served on a brioche BUN, not a traditional crusty French bread If you are going to name this after a New Orleans or southern delicacy, please make it right.

We ordered for takeout fishand onionrings with extra tartar sauce and a buffalo chicken sandwich tossed in hot sauce , and fries. Got home and there was no tartar sauce and extra blue cheese sauce. Onion rings where burnt and fish had little to no batter on it. Chicken sandwich was cold and very little regular not hot sauce. We have never had terrible food from here till tonight... My meal went out in the garbage it was just gross.i would appreciate a a call back from someone in charge please

It took almost an hour for appetizers to arrive. Once they did arrive, the food was bland. The food didn't taste like anything. Everything needed salt. Even the burgers. The Buffalo chicken wasn't actually a buffalo chicken wrap. The sauce in the wrap was supposed to be medium, but it was sweet. Not a buffalo chicken sauce at all. Ordered one mixed drink which came out very watery. It was supposed to be a sour, but came out watery and sweet.

I ordered take out from here today for the first time. I ordered the Paris Chicken Sandwich and asked for my fries to be well done. They did not disappoint, everything was done perfectly. The lady on the phone was also so nice. It always makes my experience with a restaurant better when the workers are genuine and kind. I can't wait to go back and try more items on their menu whether it be for take out or when they open back up and are allowed indoor seating! I've heard lots of great things.

We were looking for decently priced good food outside of the Falls (where we were staying) and we were not disappointed. I got the roadkill wrap, hubby the mark anthony burger and both were delicious! We also split a poutine because, well, vacation. Waitress was attentive, and despite a fairly large party below while we ate in the caboose, it wasn't too loud. Overall a great experience, so happy we came! Also, fries with the skin on! I'm sold, wish we lived closer.

Update: this is a lunch place only, had dinner here tn, fries were cold and hard, tasted like they were cooked and kept on a warmer for a while. The bourbon chicken was overdone, I only ate because I was hungry and didn't want to waste my money or complain. Lunch is always fresh! I had the sauced chicken strips and fries for lunch, same for my 3 year old. Lol We both loved the strips, so fresh & tasted homemade. Fries were just okay but the service makes up for it. I've gone a few times over the years, always delicious, service is always good.

Only got one picture unfortunately but the Nashville Chicken Sandwich is so extremely sweet I could not finish it at all and left the restaurant still hungry. It was not spicy in the slightest. Way too sweet. Something that really frustrates me is when I ask for something and the server doesn’t inform me if there’s an extra cost/how much extra. I asked for one extra slice of pickle and she gave me a whole bunch and I felt so awkward but accepted it because she dropped it on the table so fast and left immediately before I could speak to her. Literally only wanted one and only ate one from what she gave me. The bill comes and it was an extra $3… I definitely wouldn’t have asked for it if it was going to be $3 extra. It just wasn’t worth it and I didn’t need that much of how much she gave me when I only asked for 1 slice. Not worth it at all and really frustrating that she didn’t inform me of the extra charge. I would like to try this place again but that really turned me off from coming back.

Edit: My review went from a 2 star to a 5. The owner is amazing, he's so involved in what is going on. The gentleman behind the bar is Oliver, and he too is very friendly and happy to help. Still have nothing but negative reviews about the ladies working there, they could use a wait staff facelift for sure. But since they never want to help with take out orders, it no longer affects me. The owner and Oliver take care of my order every time, with a smile, and appreciated small talk. I no longer feel like a burden ordering lunch from them. Keep it up, boys! :) Can't say the food is all that good; not to mention the service. The only real service I have ever received is from the young gentleman behind the bar. Every server has treated me like a burden in the multiple times I have ordered here, even though it's always simple take out. There's one older lady server who completely ignored me; even though she was standing directly below my take out bag, until she eventually said it's not her order. She brought the place down a star on her own.

Terrible experience! Their debit went down and they made us wait while it was fixed. We finally had to leave and the waitress sent the manager over to discuss the bill. The manager was notably rude and insisted on taking down credit card numbers so she could ring the bill in later. I know plenty of business owners who would have let the $12.00 go in the interest of customer service. I won’t ever go back.

Very disappointed again tonight???? We had stumbled upon the take out pizza option and enjoyed it previously but of late it has become inconsistent at best. The main issue has been the pizza being dry, typically due to a lack of sauce. So much so that we specifically request "additional sauce" every time we order. Tonight we ordered again requesting "extra sauce" .But instead got none it seemed. Almost as if in requesting more they specifically set out to ruin the order and serve a dry pizza. Whether they don't listen or don't care is unclear but we have had inconsistent service when eating in as well sometimes taking as much as an hour or more for food to arrive. Cats is falling out of favor with us and I wouldn't be inclined to recommend it any longer.

The was absolutely no wait even when it was busy. Starting off with the dinner we had, Gillian our waitress was absolutely fantastic. We explained it was our first time there, and she told us about a bit of the history of the restaurant. She also told us a bit of the history of the dishes. After not sure on what to drink, Gillian suggested a few different kinds of beer we should try. When we decided, Gillian was very attentive on making sure once we chose our dinner, to promptly order it for us. As far as the drinks we had, they were very tasteful, could have been a bit colder. We ate the fish and chips,which were on special. When we got the fish and chips, the chips were so good. Cooked just right. The fish.. great size and very filling. Cooked all the way through and melted in your mouth. We also got the press box salad. This salad tasted so good.. the quality and flavour of all the vegetables, egg, etc. we're spot on. The cheese balls were good, but tasted like they were from a frozen package. Overall, the atmosphere was great. Very lively because it was busy, bit not rushed. The customer base was very diverse from older to way younger. Everyone seemed to fit into a very mixed category that I haven't found anywhere else. Our waitress Gillian was too notch. Very talkative and honest, lots of smiles, and very attentive. Thank you so much. The food was mixed, but totally worth the money you pay. Definitely go again.

So Sunday evening at 6 PM me and my two friends show up for their 567 menu. Service was terrible, the waitress couldn't get my order right for drinks (all I asked was for no ice, that shouldn't be too hard right?) and my food order. Speaking of food, the wait times were about 20 minutes for a salad and 30 minutes for a Buffalo Chicken Wrap with fries. Oh sorry I got chips, the waitress couldn't get that right either. However, my bill was less than $20 including tax and the food was bang on excellent as always so I will come back. Now to be fair, they were in their dinner rush however I think the waitresses should be writing the patrons orders down because I knew she was going to flub the order when she wasn't writing our orders down. And it's not like she was unfriendly, just seemed like she wanted to get out of there or get in an additional break.

I've been going to cats caboose my whole life. Whether it is late night drinks with the boys or my 12th birthday Cats is the place to go. There is a games room which makes it good for families and live music on weekend evenings. Pretty good food and a wide beer selection. You can sit in a literal train caboose which is neat. The patio is great in the summer as well. Good wings and good bar food in general.

For someone who is on keto I tried the steak sandwich with no bun or cripeea with one their side salada. It was amazing ????????! There were so many options to choose from that one could just omit the bun or bread and the food looked and tasted delicious. My dad and I love this place. The service is always fast and friendly, even when it is busy (and it usually is). There is a large variety of choices for both beer and food, and everything tastes great. The portion sizes are huge and always leave me full, which is great considering how reasonable the prices are. Whatever I am craving, there is a good chance the Cat's Caboose can satisfy it. The best day to go is Sunday, as there are a huge amount of specials to choose from. While cleanliness in the dining room has always been an issue for me, I can make an exception for a great restaurant.

Located in the heart of old Glenridge, Cat's Caboose is one of St. Catharines oldest and most established restaurants. Cat's has the best bartenders, great service, excellent customer service from EVERYONE. Well rounded menu. Great hamburgers, Philly cheese steak, tuna melt, Reuben, pizza & wings, salads and homemade soups. Nice beer menu. We have never been here for the music. Again locals rave about the music. We went to Cat's Caboose last night for my mom's birthday dinner and when we asked for take out containers after putting our food in them we noticed there was blood on them. We notified the waitress and it was the bust boy that brought our containers had a open cut on his finger because later we noticed he was wearing a band aid. Don't get me wrong our waitress was fantastic but we never received anything off our bill and you think the bust boy would of apologized. I am also a waitress and if that happened at our restaurant I would definitely take at least the food that were in the containers off the bill or have them make a new order fresh.To me , with everything going around now a days that was disgusting and should have at least received something off our bill or a free dinner

Met with friends at Cat’s Caboose. With safe guards in place d/t Covid we were seated on the patio. Unfortunately it was a scorcher of a day, although there was an umbrella it didn’t help much since you couldn’t angle it to provide more shade. Additionally the table/chairs were metal which added to the extreme discomfort. My sandwich with roasted vegetables and goat cheese was lacking flavour and greasy. This could easily be remedied with adding some pesto or a chipotle mayo and much less oil. Not certain at this point if I would return. Lastly the server was delightful and helpful. It is your typical bar. Not a lot of vegan options (do not go here for this). Most times, I have been there because friends are going there because of a band, so it is usually busy and difficult to judge the service. Saying that, they have been friendly, but can be slow as there is not enough staff. My friends tend to like the food. I do wish they had more selection of craft beer. We come here once a week and food and service is always great. For the first time I felt that the bar was shady. A guy at the bar with a face tattoo passed another guy something. He later went to the mens room and stayed in there for 45 minutes. A little boy and a man tried to use facilities and couldn't . I'm not a naive person but I felt uncomfortable for the first time there. I definitely will think hard about going there again if this is the type of place its becoming

There were four of us, each had something different, all were very impressed - fish/chips, burger, shepherds pie and steak sub. Definite go back to, can't wait!!

We just ordered delivery and everything was excellent and delivered on time. The mild wings I had were truly Jumbo and tasted great. Love the blue cheese. My wife had a turkey club and happy to see real turkey. She enjoyed it. Sweet potato fries cooked perfectly. My daughter had perogies and the amount of bacon was impressive. The bruschetta with feta cheese we had as an appetizer was very good. Great food. Thanks. Keep it up we will be ordering again.

Went at lunch with a few girls. Made a reservation which you can't do at all places. Had a great buffalo chicken salad that was huge. Will have that again. Was delicious. The salads are large there. Someone had a reuben sandwich and fries which looked very good. The fries were fresh and crispy. Our waitress was courteous and friendly. Big place. Good food.

Excellent experience. A group of us visited on Nov 7. We were pleasantly surprised to find they had a full $10 specials menu that night. Imagine our surprise when a mountain of nachos arrived at our table, just 10! So much tasty food, incredible value. The chicken wings, also $10/pound , were also delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. Ample seating available. Clean washrooms too. Checks all the boxes. Highly recommended.

Once in a while we'd enjoy the food , drinks and the live music with my wife, for the first time we were told that there were waiting parties so we were handed with our bills and booted out basically,I do not know if it is a policy of the establishment but never had this before there and it won't happen again because I will not go there again, I don't know how much you have to spend to enjoy the music but while we were leaving there weren't any waiting parties. For couple of hours for two person over 100 dollar is not enough to stay and enjoy the music, just letting you know if you decide to go there.

The atmosphere is what makes this place cool. Live music, pool tables, high tops and dining room options, and a huge menu. The food is typical bar food, but their chicken wings are awesome. I don't give bad reviews lightly, but any place where my 65 year old Mom is shoved in the back by wait staff while she is standing at the bar and was asked to move in which she did and then got shoved forwards by the waitress really doesn't warrant a second visit. Watch your backs.

The only reason why I even gave two stars is because the food is good. If you can handle horrible service and long wait times than this is your place. I’ve given the place multiple chances due to family that are regulars but mostly disappointed alone. The waitresses put on such an act and don’t even try to be subtle about it. Won’t recommend.

Great bar and music venue. I had the wings and found the suicide sauces amazing. Truly hot. We saw an amazing band play which must have played songs from 70's-2000's, there were maybe 4 songs they played the whole night that I didn't know. The whole bar was dancing and everyone was friendly and having a good time.

Just moved to St. Catherine's, didnt wanna cook so I looked up local food. I checked out this place because the name made me laugh. But that's where the joke stopped. Very polite person answering the phone and delivering the food. And the food was very good. The Nashville Fried Chicken was one of the best things I've ever tasted, girlfriend said the southern crunch was very good too. Will be getting this as often as possible.

Took a loooooong time to get order, around 45 mins. Had philly steak n cheese. Bun was not fresh and toasted too much, crunchy, ick. Steak couldve been a steakum, thin, tasteless, and burnt. Not many fries that were almost inedible due to the black parts and my pop was horrible. Will most likely be the last time there! Just not worth it.

My husband and I have been coming here for years. Last night was not good. They changed the menu (not for the better) and must have gotten a new chef. We ordered the coconut shrimp for an appetizer as usual. This time the shrimp were cold inside and they changed the batter. Terrible. I ordered the fiery bomboliti. The cream sauce was like milk with added spices. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. More breading than chicken. It didn't taste like it use to. Our waitress was OK. We have had her before and she has always been pleasant and bubbly. Not last night. It is unfortunate they had to change something that was so good. If it isn't broken don't fix it!!! After coming here for 7 years, it is unfortunate that we probably won't return.

I had the Lambshank burger and Buffalo Chips. The burger was excellent but I had a lot of chips that were not fully cooked. They were like a soggy scalloped potato, definitely needed some more seasoning. Our waitress did not come to our table, we often had to get her attention as we were waiting for something a pretty long time. The atmosphere of the bar however was excellent, acoustics were great and whatever radio station they were playing had a great selection of new and old music. I tried the Paris Chicken sandwich and it was delicious.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Me and my fiance decided to come here for our anniversary. Since my grandmother is a regular and knows the servers very well I expected to see the usual good service and food. Although tonight they decided to be extra rude towards us and made us feel extreamly unwanted. The server didn't acknowledge my fiancé, the server acted "shocked" I wasn't done my food 30 minutes into eating, all the servers were staring us down and making us very uncomfortable, than they proceeded to block our table in (we were beside the stage and wall to the caboose) with a line of reserved tables, than a server proceeded to put a reserved sign on our table WITHOUT ASKING. We weren't done and were loo king forward to having some drinks and enjoying our night but this was beyond unexpected and completely ruined our night. The server was more than happy to get us out quickly and take our table. Know that we were not told before being seated that there will be a group coming soon to claim it. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER!!!!
