After trying to get a second coffee by ourselves without success as our waitress was too busy flirting with another employee, a waitress who was on break got us some coffee. Our original waitress did not even apologize. We were the only people in the place and our food (sandwich and a pizza) took over half an hour. I cannot recommend people try this place. We will not be back.

Ordered a burger and falafels tacos. They brought out a burger and fish tacos. The waitress went back to check and said it would be a wait so we decided to accept them, but we were also expecting some accountability for the mess up. Nope. Full price for an item we did not order and reluctantly accepted and ate to avoid wasting the food and waiting 15 more minutes.

Wow. Horribly slow service. First we stood around for 15 min waiting to be seated. Many people passed us, no one even said “someone will be right with you”. Then we were finally seated, at a dirty table! A waitress was walking towards us so I said hello. Turns out she was headed to the table behind us, and didn’t say a single word. We waited another 15 min at the table and not a single person came to say hello, didn’t even get our waters, and the table remained dirty. So we got up and left. Big surprise here, no one noticed anything on our way out either. I’m suspicious of the other 5 star reviews. They all have the same structure. But if you read further you’ll see most people complaining about the poor and slow service.

Had the French onion soup and it was fantastic. They didn't skimp on the mozzarella cheese on top and it was lightly browned. The croutons were soft and delicious. The soup it's self is so tasty I couldn't help but finish it quickly. I also had the potato skins and was surprised how much topping you get for the price. The skins cooked through and had alittle crunch to them witch is what you would expect. The pure size of the dish was outstanding for the price. The only thing I'd recommend is a bigger bowl for thx french onion soup because I'd easily buy a bigger bowl that's how good it is haha. I would highly recommend checking this place out.

No prizes for decor - the space and tables could use a big upgrade, and having a sleazy little video gambling room attached to it doesn't help. After that I was pleasantly surprised by some good food! I ate here several times in June 2021 and really enjoyed the spinach & beet salad (nice to have a healthy choice on the menu) They also have a really good burger and very good fries. I also had the chicken wings which were fine. Beer choice was poor - only giant corporate suds on offer. Service was uniformly very good.

The Crown and Moose is the epitome of Newfoundland charm. The service is on FIRE, Carrie and Felicia were helpful, attentive, and hilarious. Food was delicious— super unhealthy but oh my god it’s worth it— I highly recommend poutine. Also, they will charge your phone, offer wifi, and are attached to just about the coziest hotel in corner brook.

This is a great place to eat! And the server's here are nice! Theres a bar here that you can sit at with the sports channel usually playing. It's a relaxed area to eat with friends and family! And if your from out of town I recommend the fish and chips!

Very friendly service. Food was adequate, with good portions (can only comment on fish & chips and fish cakes). Commercial beers on tap, with selection of Breton Brewery beers in cans. Most restaurants in Sydney seem to close around 9PM at the latest, so this pub is very practical for late arrivals.

So I'll start with appetizers. Wings were very dry and not worth $13, the potato skins had fake bacon bits which ruined it for me, if you advertise bacon, use bacon. My burger was just a store bought burger patty, I could have made better at home. The gravy on my poutine had no flavor. The service was so slow, definitely won't be going here again, ever. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Jenna was an fantastic server and provided my party with exceptional customer service. The food was fast, great portions, full of flavor and thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered the fish tacos (expecting a portion similar to what I've had at other establishments) and the size of the taco/piece of fish was double what you'd find anywhere else in town but for a fraction of the price!! Hadn't been to Crown and Moose since before the pandemic, but I'll definitely be visiting again soon!

Been to this place twice. 1st time it took 40 mins to get served & there was only 2 tables occupied in the whole restaurant. 2nd time it took 45 mins & at that time my mother in law (91) jumped up and had to ask a server for service who was sitting chatting with a friend at a table!! No one would pay attention when she tried to wave them over. Totally ridiculous

My wife and I are here visiting friends. They said we needed to try this place. I LOVE FOOD, especially eating it! The food portion is large for the price. Definitely would recommend for people with big appetite. The fish taco and fish & chips definitely taste fresher then what we get back home. Our wait staff was nice and arrived at the table at great timings. Not to early but not to late just when needed and not with our mouth full lol! Thanks to our friends and thanks Crown & Moose for hosting us! We will eat here again when in Corner Brook, NL.

Staying for three weeks at the attached Greenwood Inn, most mornings we had breakfast at the Crown & Moose. During that period, we were served by three delightful, efficient, and friendly wait-staff: Karen, Nicole, and Ash-Lee. Each one of them was a credit to their profession. We looked forward to breakfasts so much more as our interactions with each of them was a lovely start to each day. Oh yes! And the breakfast was good too!

Went there on Friday for pub food. The portions were very good. There were a couple of things that disappointed me. The potato skins had imitation bacon bits which I feel ruined the dish. The nachos were piled high but with just a little cheese on the top layer and the jalapenos weren't fresh (i.e. from a jar).

Prompt and friendly service. Tried the sirloin as it was on special. Garden salad was fresh if unremarkable. Steak came shortly after with fries, steamed vegetables, and a garlic bread 1/2 baguette. Steak was a bit overcooked at medium instead of medium rare, steamed vegetables were straight from a frozen bag, baguette had the flavour of deep frying mixed with the garlic butter, and fries were soggy with no crispness. Far below standard, especially for the price. Staff checked without being intrusive. Overall, like a previous poster remarked... Very nice staff, very sub par food.

The eating area was a little chilly though, had to keep my jacket on but then we were in the middle of that storm! Highly recommend eating there, definitely go there again next time I'm up in Sydney.

There was a child with us. Rotten things were said not appropriate for small ears. Asked to be moved and there was no where else to sit then when there was it was to late.
