The service was great. The waitress was attentive and came by often. The food was good, it's what you expect from a diner. I had ribs, which were great but the fried chicken was a little dry. The restaurant was a little dirty, but you don't go to a diner for the carpet.

A genuine diner with daily specials listed on a chalk board. The place is clearly popular with locals and appears to have quite a clientele of regulars. The food is good. The whole clam dinner is as good as the best served anywhere. Local artwork decorates the walls. You can purchase any that appeal to you

My family and I have been dining at Granville St Diner for years and I have to say that the restaurant has improved drastically. They offer different daily specials and each one is delicious, staff are very friendly and very well balanced so the flow of service works speedy and very well, food is always the perfect temperature, very tasty, dishes are always clean and the restaurant itself is usually clean and neat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone of any age for a speedy, tasty and very friendly dining experience. Very down to earth! We enjoy every visit. I will add that it would be great to see them update some of their seating.

We came from the west coast to see the east coast and this cute diner gave us a lasting impression. We had the fish and chips and the roast beef dinner and wow we loved the service and the food so much we went back the next morning for breakfast and boom breakfast was out of this world! We had bacon and eggs and the breakfast poutine and the breakfast poutine was unreal and the bacon and eggs were spot on! We recommend and bragged about this place every where we went! We will be back and definitely eat here!! Best food hands down and the women that work there are so friendly and wonderful!!

Like maids, but not. Menu more or less the same with different names. Has lots of parking but it doesn't really matter. At maids people line up out the door. Not so much at this place. Only ordered breakfast. If you screw up breakfast there's definitely something wrong with the kitchen cook.

Pretty much a clone of maid Marian's in Charlottetown. Have some different options though than that restaurant. Their nachos are really good, they have some sort of seasoning on them which differentiates them from other places. Again friendly staff and quick-service are the order of the day. Breakfast options are good as well.

My wife and I were searching around for a place to eat and being Labour Day, we were having a hard time and had just resigned ourselves to a fast food restaurant (they are all the same really) when we happened upon this little gem of a spot! I'm certain that this place is very popular with the locals, the food was excellent, especially the Smokey Mountain sandwich, service was crisp and fast and the food came very quickly and was DELICIOUS! We don't get to Summerside very much, however I won't forget this place - it's great!

Pretty good all day breakfast overall. I ordered the French toast and the only things I wished was different about it was maybe use a traditional French toast "Egg Bread" instead of thin sliced plain white bread. And then a good idea for 'to go containers' is to cut the corner so it can let the stream escape allowing the home fries and French toast to stay on the crispy side and not get soggy. Thanks!

Food was excellent, (I had the lobster roll and clam chowder, my friend had the eggs Benedict ). Light atmosphere, airy room and lots of local artists sharing their works on the wall. Highly recommended.

Went for breakfast with my boyfriend. My breakfast was cold, so was his. Then ended up spending the rest of my day on the toilet. Not to mention we got snubbed when we were trying to pay by the waitress who was busy and wanted to text her boyfriend. Will not be going back.

Food was great! Everyone enjoyed their meals. Decor is mostly art that is for sale. We didn't have a very big table considering there was seven of us but it was some. Coffee was good there. Service was really good! Polite servers.

Watch out! Talk about being nickeled and dimed!! We went in for the 'special', 2 turkey sandwiches for 12 dollars, had coffee (tiny cup- no refill) a 7-up - plastic bottle - we were asked if we wanted peas and onions- never occurred to us that they'd charge 2 bucks per person extra! I would have thought, what would amount to scoop of mushy peas and a half an onion, should have been included- we didn't realize we were being charged - we asked for the gravy on the side - and we were given what amounted to double gravy- on the sandwich and a gravy boat full- which we didn't touch. 25 bucks!! Be careful if you choose this place - be sure they aren't charging all sort of sneaky little extras - we felt cheated and will never return.

We just ate here and I highly recommend it. Both the food and the service were excellent. The prices are great and we got lots of food. I asked a lady from Wal-Mart where to go to eat and she recommended this restaurant. I am glad we went. The milkshake took me back to my younger days. They call it an old fashioned milkshake and they are absolutely right .

Waited 30 mins in an empty diner waiting for my check. Put down a $20 to cover the 2 6$ meals plus tax and tip, and then left. It was THEN they decided they wanted to address my bill. I will not return.

Ordered my food. It arrived quickly. Eggs (overcooked) were hard through and through. (Supposed to be over easy.) The toast was clearly toasted long before the rest of the meal, perhaps even mass toasted, dry and floppy. Like consistency of bread. Tha sausage was burnt. The only thing I was pleased with was the coffee and home fries. But what really sealed the deal that we'll never be back. At no point did anyone of the serving staff check in to see if we needed anything or if the meal was good. Not even at the cash. When I asked for a receipt from the register she told me that debit was all they ever give and threw it on the counter infront of me and walked away. Even on a bad day this is unacceptable. N wonder Maid Marion's pulled the rights to use their name in Summerside. High standards do not exist here. Check out country oven a little further up the road. Even the odd bad plate from them and they usually make it right on the spot so you leave feeling valued. To GSD, IM SORRY I inconvenienced you for a meal that Friday morning.

Just received a message from a good friend who was treated badly at this restaurant by the manager. She informed him of her breakfast order being not what she ordered, twice, and he threatened to call the police and ordered her to leave. Will not be dining here.

I ordered breakfast poutine, which is basically a chopped up breakfast plate covered with hollandaise sauce. I was on my phone when it arrived, so I took a few minutes before my first bite... and when I did - AAAGH!!! It was so hot it immediately caused blisters and stuck to my mouth causing even more pain. I had to try and eat out of one side of my mouth and use my napkin to prevent food from spilling out. I only managed about a fifth of my plate. When the waitress asked if I was enjoying my meal I told her it was excessively hot. She looked confused and I clarified that it was blisteringly hot and pointed to my mouth. She Shrugged and kept on chugging. Finally, tired of the process and annoyed at the lack of care, I went to the checkout. I was asked again if I enjoyed my meal and I explained why I hadn't. The cashier laughed at me. I was shocked and it definitely showed on my face. The cashier pressed forward asking what I expected her to do when a grown man can't carefully eat his food. She then looked around at the other patrons gathered to pay and laughed at me again. Now she felt she had an audience. I told her I didn't know what someone should do in these circumstances but making fun of a customer is probably not the best idea and I was finding this whole scenario very insulting. She insisted that I was insulting her by making a ridiculous complaint about the food. She then pointed out again that any grown man should be able to eat his food without burning his mouth (in a baby voice). And laughed at me again, this time encouraging embarassed onlookers to join in the mirth. I didn't point out that food that hot had to be microwaved. I also didn't remind her of the multimillion-dollar lawsuit McDonald's had to settle for a food-related burn. My face must have said enough because, in an insulting tone, she told me fine, you just leave. I did and I won't be back.

This is our 3rd visit there for breakfast and the 3rd time it's been lukewarm to cold. We wont be back. The servers were super friendly and fast...so that part I have no issue with, but if I'm paying for my food at a restaurant I expect it to be hot.
