The service was excellent! The food is wonderful with plenty of flavour. I had the Works Nacho's which were spicy and tasty, while my fiance had the Buffalo Kale and Avocado Salad which was just as good! The portion sizes are large and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with the patio being extremely charming. Overall, great experience!

I was tricked into going there. I was told that they served mexican food with vegan options. I ask them to surprise me with one of their burritos and it was so good. I could not figure out what kind of meat it was, so i asked. They laughed and told that it wasnt meat at all... they don't serve meat. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is inviting. The summer patio makes you want to hang out all day. We have been back many times. Thank you for showing me that vegan food is more than just salad.

Went for dinner today with a party of 4. Two of use order the jackfruit tacos, the others order the chipotle burrito and the hard tacos. Food was just ok, none of use really like our food. The service was very slow. The tables were really looking, the industrial looking ones. One of the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat on. We actually had to ask to move outside as our butts were all hurting too much.

As a weekday Vegan, i found this place a nice treat on weekends... I will however not be going back, EVER. It wasn’t the fact that it took an hour to get my food, as i’ve become quite accustomed to this as part of the Tuco’s experience. The problem was that right when my food came out, two hipsters craving attention decided to openly bring their pet SNAKE onto the patio... they were greeted by staff who were ALL aware of the fact that there was a snake in their restaurant. I openly shared my disgust with my server before leaving and he replied, “our patio is pretty liberal”. This is not an eye seeing dog or cuddly animal, it’s a SNAKE. At the end of the day, I hope there are enough hipsters to support this joke of an establishment as they are openly ignorant to health and safety regulations in Ontario, and as far as customer service goes one of the two “snake bearing hipsters” also works there, so you can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes in the kitchen. It’s too bad the Vegan community cannot partake in unique food options without a select few attention seekers ruining it for the rest of us...

Best Vegetarian restaurant in Sudbury. food is delicious, the vibe is so chill, prices are reasonable, food is healthy and the vegetarian meat substitute are flavoured to perfection way better than real meat. I have tried burgers and tacos and they always hit the spot.

An incredibly delicious taco place that is vegan in the background. I've been to vegan places that often try their best to recreate the meat experience and fail, whereas this place doesn't go for that and truly makes vegan dishes that are interesting on their own accord.

I was skeptical of vegan taco's but was intrigued by the hype. Tucos Taco Lounge lived up to the hype and more. The taco's were surprisingly filling and incredibly delicious. The taco's use a deep friend tempeh for the "meat" and it was very filling. The nacho's weren't just good for vegan nacho's, but were just good nachos.

Interesting place. The atmosphere is great. I've never been to a Mexican place that is completely meat free. Seriously. All vegetarian. There's some gluten. Food is good. Would come again. A little pricer than what I would pay normally... But certainly worth the try. Forewarned. If the patio isn't opened, the tables inside are limited. That means you need to wait like we did.

I make this a stop every time I'm in Sudbury. I'm a meat-eater, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying their fantastic vegan food and they have a nice selection of craft beers as well. Love that they also spin vinyl and have the album cover displayed on the wall for whatever is playing. A cool place to check out for sure!

I am not vegan and I would never make vegan food, or go out of my way to get some. The food at Tucos though is really good and I very much enjoy it, even though it is vegan. The menu is inspired and creative with great flavours that I don't even miss the meat. I usually get the burritos as I find the tacos aren't quite enough food for me. I would recommend sitting on the patio weather permitting. They have done a really great job here and I always enjoy going. Definitely try it out, you will be surprised.

We stumbled across this place while staying at a nearby AirBnB. It serves quite possibly the best Mexican-inspired food I’ve ever eaten—and it’s vegan! I normally don’t care for vegan versions of meat dishes, because they just come across as sad imitations of much-better originals. That’s not the case here. Try the Van Cleef Chili and see if you ever want to eat chili con carne again. My spouse had the lentil-walnut tacos and loved them too. I wish we could have stayed an extra day just to eat there again.

This place is vibey! Food is pretty good; best item on the menu is the Nachos hands down. My suggestion to the chef: allow a taco sampler - have three types of tacos. Getting 3 tacos all the same is so boring; you know what they say.. Variety is the spice of life! As well the sangria seemed like it was store bought; not saying it is but that’s what it seems like. Nachooooooo!!

Food was superb! We had take out. The kale and carnitas salad was one of the tastiest salad i ever had. We also ordered the El terantino phish taco. The batter was just right. The phish was fried with a piece of avocado. My partner ordered the taco salad, the portion was quite large and fresh.

It might be because we had no idea that this place was vegan, but man is this place overrated. The nachos were $15 and that didn't even include guac! We had to pay $5 more just for bland guacamole(seriously, it was just mashed avocado, no tomato or onion). Maybe this place is rated so high because standards are lower in Sudbury, but geez $20 for vaguely decent nachos? I'll pass. I'd also point out how pretentious and tone deaf it is to open an expensive vegan restaurant in the centre of the poorest neighbourhood in Sudbury.

What an amazing gem to find in Sudbury of all places. After a very hard day of paddling we stopped for a quick shower and off to Sudbury for a beer and dinner really hungry for vegetarian food. We googled vegetarian and Tucos came up. The place is tucked away in a neighborhood that is in the renewal phase across the train tracks. We ordered a salad and Phish "avocado" tacos. The salad with rubbed kale and a whole slew of other ingredients split in two was delicious and so were the tacos. We then decided to get the the chips and pico de gallo were lovely as well. The nacho chips were house made and the pico was delicious. Waltay, the manager, was amazing to us. He is kind and attentive. We also had a couple of beers and both were great choices as well Tucos has an amazing array of beers from which to choose. I highly recommend this place for vegans, vegetarians or anyone who wants a delicious meal. I hope that Tucos will open a location in Toronto because I would frequent it often. Waltay thank you for your hospitality and making us feel so welcome. The whole staff there were also super friendly and the place was packed. Who would have known that Sudbury would have such a gem of a restaurant. Two thumbs up.

Happened to be riding through Sudbury on a motorcycle trip with some vegans and found Tucos through a quick web search. I set my expectations low and was happy the vegans would get catered to. Holy moly, was I wrong. The food here is OUTSTANDING. Every meal we ordered was excellent. I ordered the Fish-less tacos, and they were the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. Paired with a tasty pint from a decent selection of beer, and served by a really great group of people. We even rerouted our trip to come back through Sudbury on the way home to eat there again. Nachos, tacos, beer... delicious.

To be honest I only tried "ugly"burrito. I was very unsatisfied with food. Probably the worst burrito I ever had. It looked like I was eating only Rice filled burrito No crunch of lettuce, No sauce. Just Dry Rice filled burrito. Dry dry dry???? If you are trying this expensive food it should be Atleast worthy.

Delicious Mexican inspired vegan fare! Delicious nacho chips made fresh daily! Everything is amazing from the chilli to the huge hearty salads and incredible tacos. They also have a great drink selection, cozy and cool atmosphere with a different vinyl album on every day. Oh and the service is always great and super friendly (and helpful for timid newcomers). Do yourselves a favour and try their chilli nachos. Absolutely the best nachos in town. I’ve tried pretty much everything on their menu and never tire of their food. The “Bad Seitan Pepper” and “Ugly Black Bean” Burritos are like a joygasm on the taste buds. The Totopos are great as an appetizer to snack on while enjoying a nice summery drink on their patio. Wonderful service and my go to when I’m in the mood for a quick take-out lunch. Call ahead and they’ll have everything waiting for you for easy pick-up.

So torn with this place.... The food was AMAZING. However, the service was subpar at best, the waitress was kind of impersonable and was faking a smile when talking to us. However, the other guy who helped us was good. My other issue... DON'T go on a SUNDAY. We went and they literally had nothing that we asked for. We were told our drink wasn't worth making more as they aren't open on Mondays... so we only got one. But my bigger issue, this is a Mexican restaurant, and we were told that the avocados were "too hard, and wont make good tacos" which seems a bit bizarre to me. The aesthetic is interesting, I assume much more functional in summer, but the bathrooms leave something to be desired, the door didn't lock and the toilet handle was broken off. So perhaps it was just the fact that it was a Sunday but it was a bit of a mess despite the amazing food.

This an amazing restaurant! It has everything you want for a summer dinner: unique cocktails, patio and tacos. The cocktail list is incredible, but be ready to pay a bit more for them - trust me you will not regret it! The patio is really cozy ALTHOUGH the larger tables are not accessible because of the steps down and they don't have a ramp. And of course, the tacos were incredible. I am not vegan or vegetarian, but I loved my tacos anyways (which I am pretty sure were vegan). The people I was eating with were vegan and vegetarian, however, and they commented on how pleasantly surprised they were that there were so many options on the menu for them to eat. Overall a great experience, and will definitely return when I visit Sudbury again.

If you want a delicious, filling meal, go to Tucos. Don't be afraid to try things because they're "vegan." You'll be pleasantly surprised at the selection, but most of all... the flavour. Wonderful food, decor and atmosphere. Its lovely to have a unique alternative option for non-meat eaters (though I've heard great reviews from meat-eaters as well!) The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the seating is very uncomfortable and there isn't very much of it, so there have been a few times I went elsewhere as the wait would be too long. Service is typically great, though the last time I went our server was actually quite un-friendly. EDIT: I must say that, while I'm a fan of your food in general, I am very put off by a lot of the responses to critical reviews on here. When people are giving you honest feedback -arguing with them, contradicting, or dismissing them is not a good look and does not connote integrity/openmindedness.

At this vegan restaurant, I had the phish tacos and although they were very tasty they weren't quite as filling as the burrito that my friend had, I also had the chili on the side which was fantastic. For me, It was unexpected and surprised experience. I really liked. I ordered Torta (kind of sandwich, with ciabata bread, jackfruit meat, avocado, cabbage and etc) with some nachos with homemade barbecue sauce. This meal isn't spicy. I super indicate this place for everyone. Ah, one special detail, all meals are made without animal meat. They're all vegetarian. I'm not vegetarian, but I really liked the taste of my meal.

This place. Is the best place. Any time I visit my sister (were from the GTA) we make a special trip to Tucos. You wouldn't believe how many meat eaters are completely satisfied by the vegan menu here, and I can even vouch that a friend of mine didn't realize the food was vegan until we told him after we cleaned an entire plate of nachos as well as the burrito and Phish tacos.
