Best food and times , I've had in two years and Covid safety is number one upon entrance to dining room in this place.

I understand due to covid restrictions we can't dine in but for our 10 year wedding anniversary we decided to drive up to Sudbury to visit our son at university and order The Keg take out. We stayed across the street, ordered our meal and paid for it ahead of time. All 4 steaks were undercooked which should have been fine but we were staying in a hotel, therefore we needed cutlery, high end food should be able to provide decent cutlery to cut through a steak...it didn't. My husband's filet mignon had a couple tendons in it, it shouldn't, especially at the Keg and had hardly any blue cheese on it. My Sirloin Oscar didn't have grill marks, it wasn't a nice charred looked on the outside. We're not hard to please people but if I'm paying over $200 for dinner I expect Keg quality, I could have BBQ'd a better steak. It was so disappointing eating cold food that I could have gotten anywhere.

Excellent meal, fantastic service, with the perfect vibe. The crowd was enjoying the game and the bar section had lots of screen! Can’t say enough of how fantastic our server was. Highly recommend this KEG in particular for a nice evening out with family, friends, or with clients.

The restaurant was clean, the server was fantastic, and they were abiding by COVID-19 protocols. However, these are just the basic expectations anyone should experience at a restaurant like The Keg. The rest of this review (and my rating) is related to the food options at The Keg, or really the lack of them for someone with a soy allergy. After my server checked with the kitchen, the only protein I could eat was the lobster. I have more options at most fast food chains. Why is there soy in the steaks?! I know soy tends to be used to enhance meats, but I can't understand why a restaurant who prides itself on its steaks would need to use it. I've eaten steak at 3 other restaurants in Sudbury who specialize in them, none of them use soy in their steak. We thought we would try The Keg since we hadn't been there in years and we were all craving steak. This will unfortunately be my last time.

The Keg provides an upmarket experience in a well managed chain. Our party of four all had meals tailored to their liking by our knowledgeable and helpful server Aaron. The Keg courses tend to be a little pricey, but the wine is priced fairly.

Visited the keg last evening (Nov 28) to celebrate our anniversary. I've been a keg patron for years now, in locations across Canada. Having recently moved from BC, I've been disappointed to find restaurant standards in Ontario to be low. Too low. The Keg, Sudbury is no exception. The filet mignon was mediocre at best. The bacon wrap was translucent and soft, so far from appetizing. The oscar sauce was minimal by the standard of ALL other locations, and the prawns and scallops were small, flavorless and hardly damp with the light drizzle of sauce they served. The extra and TINY serving of bearnaise i asked for, was barely enough to make up for what should have been served, and they actually charged us BOTH for extra sauce. The "lobster special" had both of us running to the loo within 20 minutes of leaving the restaurant. Thanks Canadian Tire for having cleaner facilities than The Keg. Our waiter lacked class, one of the main draws to The Keg. This kid had a huge afro pulled into a massive pony tail, and he stood at the edge of our table with his legs spread about 30 inches apart. Classic posturing behavior from and obviously insecure young man. When I say "Thank-you", I expect something more refined than, "No problem, Man", or "No worries" as a reply. This dinner out totalled just shy of $200.00 once we finished our weak cappuccino and creme brulee. This was one of the worst restaurant visits I've ever had as far as meeting expectations. The only worse experience was at Montana's in Thunder Bay. I will (quite unfortunately) not be returning to this location, as this is not my first "less than adequate" experience at The Keg, Sudbury, but it was definitely the final straw. Three strikes. YOU'RE OUT!

OK, so the Keg has always been my go to restaurant, love everything on the menu. However this Sudbury keg missed the mark on this visit ..., My prime rib (medium) was an end cut, looks like it was attempted a few times to cut it (many different angles, was well done, no fat, and chewy :( our twice baked potatoes were overcooked and brown inside (kind of a watery taste and texture. We didn't complain, we were in a hurry. (I'm sure they would have got another one if we did. Sorry guys but you missed the mark on this meal.

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner here tonight to celebrate the end to a long week and the beginning of a nice weekend. Our server Stefan was polite and helpful but he forgot our bread, until reminded. No problem though. The food was delicious as expected. My daughter absolutely loved her sirloin Oscar. My wife enjoyed her mixed greens and fillet mignon. My New York strip was cooked to order and the garlic mashed potatoes were tremendous. We don’t go here often, but are never disappointed when we do. The only negative thing I could say is that if your expecting a quiet meal, don’t go there. When it’s a full house, it’s noisy in there, but I guess that’s to be expected. Bon appetite.

We were sitting outside in a patio setting and the local mosquitoes made sure we noticed their presence ???? If you haven't tried Billy, you are missing something.

Service was a little rocky as we waited a very long time at every stage. Appetizers came in the most absurd order. Ordered 2 cesars and calamari. We got the first cesar then 30 mins later the second case and the calamari arrived. My lady had a cold steak .... other than the long wait times the inconsistency the rice was awesome.

Resturant was not busy, but we were seated and sat for 20 minutes with no service. Many servers past by and even a manager. No one even asked if we had been helped. Similarly no one spoke to us as we were leaving, not even the hostess as we walked out the door knowing she had just sat us 20 minutes prior.

We had such a positive experience from the handling of my reservation for 20 people by Kendall, to the welcoming by Evelyn when we all arrived, to the wait staff Rock & Megan! I had two check in phone calls prior to our arrival which truly indicated the staff attentiveness. One phone call from Evelyn was to let me know that they had given us our own room for our get together. I couldn’t be more appreciative & impressed with everyone & everything. I would have given four stars, except the last time we went there the lettuce was soggy, brown, and mostly all white ends; the actual dinner wasn't up to par either. It was kinda disappointing actually.

Nice place. Spacious patio. Food was pretty good, but i'd have liked a higher quality product considering the price point. The legs of the table we were seated at were uneven and the table rocked to and fro while we dined. Service was pretty good as well, except for one thing - who gives a 6' 0" 17 year old a kiddie menu? I might be back, but I guarantee my son won't :)

Burnt stek Well done was pretty well BURNT My salad was giant leafs and 2 crutons. My boyfriends baked potato was a cold solid brick of tater and a ball of butter ontop refusing to melt, between apologies from the manager and the meal getting worse with every bite..i should have taken the cold patat and beaten someone sensless,taken their wallett and refunded myself for the awful dinner and then maybe the birthday wouldnt have been SH@@T on.

Reservations required for a family Christmas Eve dinner tonight. Our server Cam provided terrific service, great advice on food choices, and just the right number of visits to our table. Mojito to set the mood? Yes. Appetizers of Bacon & Scallops plus Mushrooms Neptune. A large piping hot bread loaf with whipped butter. BBQ Ribs, Prime Rib, Top Sirloin and a Steak & Shrimp for our main course. A very tasty and flavourful meal with no room for dessert this time This was the final in-dining experience before another provincial lockdown begins. Stay safe.

This place used to be much better. The manager and owner both have a complex.. I witnessed them both giving a quiet, polite couple a hard time. The juice just isn’t worth the squeeze here…. I recommend saving your time and heading over to p&ms where they treat their customers well.

Had dinner at The Keg Sudbury very nice building was greeted by a rude lady at front entrance had surf and turf calamari for appetizer was overcooked not very tasty server name Aaron was great we also had a second server blond girl ponytail also very nice. I ordered cheesecake for dessert cheesecake came to table looking like it fell off the plate, plates were greasy a recommendation is they use different soap or get a new dishwasher, plates were all greasy have pictures will post later.

i've been traveling alot lately and everywhere i go the Keg guarantees me a perfect dinner - the prime rib is fanttastic and i make some of the best sous vide prime rib you will every eat :) it's so impressive that they can maintain the level they do across canada. This establishment sets the bar for what service should be. With a severe allergy finding somewhere to eat that isn't home is challenging. The Keg makes dining out feel like home, with special attention and care behind their service. The meal was very good and was not a very long wait for the food. Maybe 20 or so which for a busy restaurant is great. Our server "Ally" was amazing and very friendly. She came back several times to see how things were. The plus side was the chef actually knows how to do a steak the way you want it. We will be back for sure.

Service was great, food wasn’t too great. Seasonal veggies was half a tomato with cheese on top??? That’s not worth the prices you charge. Also was told to separate from sitting next to my partner because of social distancing but in reality that put him 3 feet closer to the customers at the other table leaving little room for the waitresses to get through the two tables.

I had a hair in my steak meal the manager came over and asked if I wanted my meal done over I said no thanks after which he left and that’s the end of the service since I was with others and feeling odd as the only person not eating I ordered a drink I was informed after everyone was finished eating that I could order I dessert on the house it would have been nice to have that option earlier poor management service won’t be coming back

It is usually a regular stop when I spend the night in Sudbury. The steak was excellent, as always, and courteous service. The waitress was a little to over excited when I said that I would be alone. A simple "perfect" would have been okay, I didn't really need "oh awesome!". I mean, I'm tired of being single and eating by myself, no need to cheer me up... I get that the waitress doesn't know that, so I didn't cut down her tip. But I did have a few issues, one regarding the COVID situation. While I was waiting in the entrance to get a seat, people kept leaving amd passing between me and the waitress, I kept going back in the corner when people were going out, but had to come back closer to the door to hear the waitress. Impossible to keep the 2m distance... 2nd, I'm lactose and highly onion/garlic/chive intolerant, so I thought that a steak frites would be a simple order: no cheese, no cream, no onions, no garlic (except in the spices, but it's a very small quantity and not fresh, so it's not damageable), but it came with a chive garlic butter! I didn't bother reading what was included with the plate, so it was my bad, but I just wanted something safe because it is a pain going to the restaurant when I can't have onion/garlic. I always have to ask if there is sauce/dressing and if there's onion/garlic in it. And sometimes I forget to ask because the menus don't always mention them. Anyways, I did get a new steak, but I was just upset to have to be careful even for something I thought was safe like a steak frites. I get that restaurants want to add fancy touches to attract customers, but it just makes it harder now to get a safe place to eat.

Everything from the bread to the main course taste amazing. I had the baked brie and onion soup as appetizers and the filet mignon (medium warm) with a side of garlic mashed potatoes as the main dish. The place is decorated with style and the personnel is polite and friendly. Although its a bit on the expensive side, you get what you pay for.

Great prime rib very poor Seafood. Excellent service just the cooks didn't put a lot of effort into the meal and even forgot some of the stuff on the plate. Our waitress corrected the problem for us. $200 for two people and we have to go to the restaurant next door to actually Have a decent meal that filled myself up and we had appetizers and dessert very disappointed you won't be back.

The only good thing on my plate were the smashed potatoes. I got a regular top sirloin and ya meat was ok but not worth 50$. Can make the same meat at home. Side of veggies were over cooked. Paid 10$ for a couple baby fishes. Overpriced and you can make that same food at home in my opinion

Came here for a nice Friday night dinner with my husband. Sat down, minding our own business. A woman said my husband was “vaping” she kept screaming at him and I. We switched tables and were approached by the manager and then the “owner” who were both extremely rude. Making a scene infront of everyone and telling us if we got caught with a vape we would never be allowed in. Dinner is ruined. They never asked about what happened or if we actually had a vape or not (because we didn't). Will never come back.

The restaurant is older however you don't go there for the ambiance. The food is cooked fresh by the owner and is truly great. If your looking for something a bit different and off the beaten path I recommend it. Seven of us went there for my father's birthday. The food was excellent, with a good variety, as we opted for family style. Having said that, it was a little more expensive than anticipated, but still worth it. I’ve been to the Keg numerous times!! And always find it very noisy, hard to talk with all the background noise. Super was excellent as always Had schallops for an apt. And fillet mignon for main course!! All great but getting more and more expensive.

What a great dining experience. Due to my wife's immune compromised system, the staff put us in a very low traffic isolated area of the restaurant. Karen (not an _Internet_ Karen) was very prompt and attentive to our needs as was all the staff. Very high plexi glass barriers and an isolated booth made us feel very safe. I know the lighting in Keg restaurants is usually low, but everything seemed very shiny and clean. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere. 6 stars out of 5 if I could.

the steak was great but the water was amazing. It was incredibly crisp, cold but not too cold where it freezes your teeth, refreshing and palet cleansing. I discovered this water perfection after my steak (which was also a 5 star meal) when I found myself with a dry mouth. In consequence I ordered water expecting a normal cup. But once the exquisite glass arrived upon its black tray, I still wasn’t aware of how fantastic this water was gonna be. After the waitress placed the condensation covered glass of water. I grasped it with a firm grip and placed the glass upon my lips and poured a single sip into my mouth. My taste buds where then blessed with such water holier then the lords holy water itself. I then continued to gulp suck great water until the thin glass was filled with nothing but ice. -glasses ????

This particular location was quite full and seems popular. I normally am able to get prime rib a bit more rare than the standard med-rare and I was told they no longer would do that. I will try the location again but not my favorite Keg.

We went to the Keg Sudbury tonight while in the city on business - I have never been so disappointed with a Keg. I do tend to dine at the Keg at least once a month...(I travel quite a bit in Ontario and always make a stop at a Keg). The server forgot our bread. My guest finished his french onion soup, (35+ minutes after being seated) and we still had not received it, so I asked our server for it as he was walking by our table. I always ask for cheddar butter with my bread, which the server commented "you know your Kegs!", and then never brought it. I ordered the 10oz prime rib w/ twice baked and extra frizzled onions. The order came...potato was burnt on the top, and the frizzled onions was a warm ball of oil - it was disgusting! I took them off my plate and cleaned the oil off and away from my prime rib and potato. Grabbed my napkin and squeezed - you can clearly see how much oil came off them (napkin in photo), leaving a floury onion paste. My server returned mid way though our meal on a walk by and said "everything going good?" I stopped him and told him of my meal concerns. He took the side plate of onions away along with my napkin. The manager returned 10 minutes later (2 bites left of my prime rib) with a heaping plate of fried onions for me (with no napkin replacement). I asked her what I was to do with that? she said they are for you with no charge (!?!?) and then thanked me for telling them or they would have served the original frizzled onion batch all night... does quality check mean anything to you?? There was an oil patch on my plate leaving the kitchen, and I had to let you know?? I received our bill, no offer of desert or discount on my meal. The food quality and service at this location is horrible, and its not a true reflection of the service, food quality, and consistency the Keg offers.

Don't waste your time and money here, was turned down brining in a large group of clients. Went to Mr Prime Rib and it was great! From now on I will take our business there, it's substantially better anyways.

We had another perfect dinner at the keg to celebrate a birthday. Sydney was one of the most attentive and personable servers we have ever had! The Keg Steakhouse lived up to its reputation as a good steakhouse, however the salads, shrimp cocktails, & soup also excelled. My steak was excellent & cooked to perfection. The service was average. The overall percieved price value was good. We will return. We love all of our dinners here and will be back soon!

Wasn't impressed with my steak was too chewy for me .. only ate a quarter of it. Should have sent it back but we waited long enough just for it to arrive hence why veggies weren't hot sent them back. For the price it cost and what we got ... I would not go back or refer anyone there ...

The lady who received us here when we arrived for our reservation was very cold and was giving us attitude while behaving very friendly to others who came before and after us. Also the server who served us bread just pushed it to our table without even saying anything or make any effort to communicate. Again the same guy was seen serving other right after this in Avery friendly manner. Not sure if this was a race thing but sure felt that way. The guy who actually took our order and served us rest of the evening was really good though and the food was also good. But the first impression is the best impression and hence the review and stars.

Went this past Saturday with a group of 8. Service was slow. Slower than their normal slow. A couple of tables beside us received their food, ate and left before we received our food. We had ordered our food before these other patrons arrived. We were visited by an annoying Hostess ? several times to explain that the kitchen was backed up. She gave us a piece of cake. One of the guest in our party asked if they order from the "kids" menu for dietary/medical reasons and was told that this was not allowed. We spent $500.00 at the restaurant that evening. We "HAD BEEN" at this establishment several times before.

Disappointment ! If you walk in without a reservation you just wont eat. Half Empty, the hostess asked me to wait 2h30 if i wanted a table ! If I accepted to dine in the bar lounge,it would be 1h30 waiting while the bar was empty !! dont put it on covid, lazy waitress. I went somewhere else
