Ordered a couple of entrees for delivery and was sorely disappointed. Very small portions, missing items, and the restaurant was unwilling to rectify the issue. If they have an AYCE buffet and you're dining in, this might be acceptable food but it's certainly not top tier Indian. For delivery, I suggest you look elsewhere

Went to this Restaurant on July 21st for their weekend dinner buffet which is priced outrageously high for what they offer. First off there was no Tandoori dish in the buffet at all (especially on a weekend dinner buffet) yet the restaurants name is Tandoori Tastes! I asked the young guy who came and asked if everything was Ok (who seemed like owner's Son) as he was sitting in the middle of the restaurant with his laptop and was doing work probably restaurant related; whether they are bringing out any Tandoori dish and he said NO. I did mention to him the restaurant's name itself has Tandoori but no Tandoori dish on the buffet. He gave me the lamest answer. He said the 'Naan' was there. ???????????? Yes Naan is made in a Tandoori Pot. But that's the Original Naan. Not what this restaurant served. This restaurant served Naan that comes in a pack of 20 at Costco you warm up and serve. This restaurant is a Joke! The rest of food wasn't that great at all. They charged $20 each for the Buffet, that has no Tandoori dish, no Biriyani. I have no idea, how they are staying business. Total waste of money and time. The nicer reviews here must be fake or their relatives posting to please them!

This place is incredible! The food is very tasty and the ambience is Indian. Just watch out... The food is too much in quantity. You'll wish for a second that you had a second stomach. A place definitely to visit if you are fond of true Indian food.

Don't bother with take-out because they seriously skimp on portions. I ordered butter chicken and got a container that was 99% sauce and had 3 bite-sized pieces of chicken in it. It was $10 + tax. I also ordered their gulab jamun for $4 and only got two pieces. I don't know how they can justify that. However, I have dined in here a few times and it's always been a good experience - good food, good portions, and good service. Be aware that their spice levels are not typical Sudbury spice levels...it's spicy! I have a decent spice tolerance and order a level 3 and even then, I'm still sweating! I think their AYCE food is milder, though, but I've only done that once.

Wonderful restaurant. Have been coming here since I moved to Sudbury. Today I was finally back after COVID restriction affected everything. Pleasant gentleman took our proof of vaccine. They were not rude in anyway compared to other restaurants we have been to . We had a wonderful experience back and the food was great as-well.

I order here about once or twice a month as a treat and they never fail! They always have nice portions. Although the price is a little on the higher side, it's really worth every dollar. When I order butter chicken, I always get enough for 2 meals, sometimes 3. Honestly tastes amazing and super authentic compared to other places in town.

One of the worst Indian restaurant I have eaten at. The atmosphere is horrible and food is low quality. It was undercooked and overpriced. Not sure why so many positive reviews, the food this place serves is a disgrace to Indian cuisine. We ended up leaving without eating much as the spice and flavours were unbearble. I can honestly say the Palak was the best i ever had and the Chana Masala was equally delicious. Highly recommended. Very authentic food obviously made from scratch with love I am from Toronto where we have a very large indian community and lots of great indian restaurants that compete with each other for buisness. We didn’t have a good experience service wise. However, the Food was good. The lady there attended us after we waited for 15 mins. The first thing she said was we are very busy. (Well, no comments) we gave our order and we got food in like 20-25 mins. As we were having food, she comes and asks us to pay. I have never experienced any thing like this where you are having your dinner and in between they come and ask for payment. And she had the audacity to say, “it’s ok you can eat food here” she justified her act by saying we close at 10pm and I didn’t expect the crowd today. Well, in this case you should close the door or tell people that it’s closed. Once the food is served, you have to wait until the guest is done with eating. And in food industry you have to be prepared for at lest the seating capacity of the restaurant. This is no justification for what she did. I am surely not returning to this place. Even if the food was good, the experience was awful.

I love their food. To a white person like me, it seems very authentic. It's often too spicy for me to eat. They do ask you what level of spice you like from 1 to 10 at the beginning of the meal and provide food according to your preference. Their service is good, the wait staff that I've encountered were quite nice.

Excellent food. I'm here at least once a month and always grab the lamb byriani, butter naan, and chicken marsala with mango lassi. Serving size or the chicken marsala has been reduced, but still able to feed 2 with one order. The foods great, and the Bollywood channel is great entertainment.

Worst service Ever. Ordered delivery for$ 50 food. The receptionist did not mention the delivery charges. Delivery guy came and asked for 10$ charges. When paid he said the machine is not working to give a print out. Restaurant person Manager Joe did not help at all. Not for business trip guys who get their money reimbursed. Finally the delivery perosn took the food back and my 1hr wait for food was for nothing. Terrible delivery and restaurant ppl!!!!

We LOVE Tandoori Tastes! Have always had great food, served hot, flavourful, and in a timely manner. They are always very kind and let us take some rice from the buffet for free for our 11 month old son. Staff is friendly if not very talkative, but I assume that's due to a bit of a language barrier. The one time they brought the wrong order (brought chicken seekh kebabs when I ordered the Kebab Masala) they were very apologetic and had the proper order made immediately and let us keep the kebabs for free. It is a bit on the pricey side, but is definitely the best Indian place in Sudbury and worth the money!

I went there in the past a few years back and had great service the owner would come out and chat with his patrons. Within the last year going there they have these girls that serve that are very inefficient. They dont ask how the food is and they dont even pick up your plates at the buffet. I had 3 plates gathered with napkins and they never bothered picking them up. The sad part is there was only about 7 people eating is was empty. Poor service and some of the food was getting cold and stale. After paying that kind of price I could eat at a good indian restaurant in Toronto with the best buffets and pay a lot cheaper. Sorry but you need to change your tune a bit for me to go back.

One of the tastiest restaurant Indian meal I have had. Nicely favoured, cooked to perfection and a nice big portion size. The made to order naans were excellent. Although, unlikely other Indian restaurants, there was no rice, salad or yogurt listed on the menu. The staff was very friendly and catered to all eating needs. The place was a bit plain looking and could do with more theme décor and visuals. Overall a very good experience, would definitely visit again.

The part I like most is consistency in taste whether you order for one person or for 100. If you really want to taste fresh Indian/ Pakistani food, you will love it.

Horrible food! Way too spicy for someone who is use to and enjoys spicy Indian food. We asked for medium spice and it was inedible. The high prices were not worth the quality. Too much nuts in the food, should of been crushed but had whole nuts. The service was terrible, and atmosphere was even worse.

Given the mostly positive reviews, my friend and I decided to try this place out. We were both extremely disappointed with the experience. The first red flag was a nearly empty dining room at 6:30pm on a Saturday. The atmosphere was drab, and they had a TV on in the background playing cheesy music videos which I found very distracting. The service was terrible. The server spent more time checking herself out in the mirror than she did checking in with the guests (she did this right in the middle of the dining room where there is a mirror set up). When she filled the water glasses, she would grab the rim of the glass right after playing with her hair in the mirror. Gross. Right away we noticed the prices were high. We ordered Samosas and two Lamb Biryanis. Spice level 7. Total was about 45 dollars... What we got was a mountain of rice, and maybe 5 or 6 cubes of lamb each. My friend had a piece of pure fat in her plate as well. Great... The food was also served with an unidentified red bottle of "sauce" that hadn't been cleaned in god knows when. We didn't touch it. Totally unpleasant experience. I will never eat there again.

My friends and I came here for dinner. The restaurant serves true traditional East Indian fare. My two friends have a hardier palate than I do where spicy foods are concerned. I ordered Butter Chicken with a spice risk factor of 0. I was pleasantly pleased as it had a very slight spicy taste but nothing burning. My friends like very spicy food and ordered accordingly. They thoroughly enjoyed the food. The staff was very courteous and very helpful with my questions about their food and the spices they use.

We asked for zero spice and our Korma and butter chicken was spicy to the point it was inedible. The sauce was like water and the service was probably worse than the food. We told them that the food was mostly inedible however they still took 100% of the bill. I wouldn't eat at this restaurant if it was free and I was starving. Genuinely the worst resteraunt experience ever.

The food is pathetic! If there was an option of no stars I would likely go for it. Me and my friends on our way to Toronto, decided to have a take out from this place and what came to us was terrible. Chicken biryani and veg biryani were basically chicken curry and mix veg respectively with some jeera rice topped on it.. and when you ask the staff that you cannot cheat an Indian serving this and call it biryani.. the response was that thats how we make it! Cmn!! Please spare the indian food this embarrassment in the name of biryani, and pls pls pls Do not serve that in future to anyone

Bought take-out chicken biryani and it was just white boiled rice with some chicken curry on it. They insisted this was their own biryani preparation and was different from "Pakistani" biryani ! In any case they should not be calling whatever was offered as "biryani". Will never go back.

Excellent! Fish tikka done perfectly and they went out of their way to make a palak with no dairy. Clean, quiet, friendly service. More expensive than Toronto area indian restaurants, but expect to pay more In Sudbury. Definitely worth it! And we eat a lot of Indian.

I wouldn't eat here again. Vegetable kofta curry over spiced and lacking in flavour. Was chewing on chunks of cinnamon....sad. Service was fine BUT, I did only order take out. Giving it 3 stars due to it being Sudbury and the quick service; however it showed in the food.

The taste of food was very poor. We were very excited to eat here that’s why we came from Timmins. But the staff was very rude and disrespectful. We ordered the food $150 but the food was cold and not fresh may be they cooked early and then we also ordered the salads but they served us when we finished our food. Hi Tonight, I took delivery from tandoori tastes for one veg and one non veg thali. 1. First of all, it was delivered late to us. The food was at counter and ready for delivery but the lady at counter wasn't even aware of tht. We waited for good 45 mins at store to get delivery . And after asking about order, she said its just got ready (even though it was in front of our eyes from last 45 min but we were not very sure it was our order, so dint ask her ) 2. The quantity of chicken and curry in chicken kadai and Butter chicken was very very less ,( only 1 very small piece in both of them). Chicken was stale and smelling. Literally threw the full chicken pieces 3. Ordered malai kofta as veg curry in non veg thali but got chole (as if chole is by default in every thali) 4. Chole was tasteless and with literally no spices. it was only boiled with hot water . 5. Ordered kheer as sweet dish but got gulab jamun in both thalis. 6.Roti was also not fresh and it was in crumbs as if it was made 4-5 hrs before 7. I would say only thing that was good , is salad - cucumber and onions 8. Value for money is 0 . Overpriced items. Pathetic service and food taste... Because of above reasons this restaurant can be avoided as there are other options available for authentic food and frsh food. Wish I could negative star for review. Pls pls avoid this restaurant. “TANDOORI TASTES” Good to have Indian restaurant in Sudbury, there are 2-3 more Indian restaurants but the best part about this Tandoori Tastes is that they have in built Tandoor in their kitchen which gives you authentic taste when we order paneer tikka or anything that needs to be cooked in Tandoor. Service is not so great , staff there is rude but what’s more important is food and yes the food is good specially the Veg Biriyani and Paneer Tikka ( sometimes it’s too DRY so please remind them when you order )

Too expensive comparing food size! I ordered a Chicken Karahi with the expectation to be good for 2. I saw one of their advertisements on Facebook that tells rice or tandoori would be free with the order. But when I called them they mentioned that is only for Wednesday. Btw, I ordered a rice and a tandoori. All the items were not enough at all for 2 persons. Nothing added with the dish like a salad with cucumber, onion, or tomato. It’s really frustrating. I went from Ottawa where I could buy 2 dishes from an Afgani or Indian restaurant what would be good for 4 persons.

This is the other Indo-Pak cuisine restaurant in town and really good. I have been here a few times already in last couple of month and had them cater once. The food is always fresh and very well cooked. Chef is very hospitable and experienced. I love the Punjabi Rooti, would recommend it highly. There vegetable kofta are yumm. I also love the chicken kerhai and bihari kabob. I think any order would be incomplete without the Kabob. Highly recommend to anyone looking for Pakistani, Indian Cuisine in town.

Amazing food. If you like spicy food but aren't Indian, keep in mind that your spicy meter and theirs is NOT the same. I got a 6 spicy, thinking it would be fine. The waitress even asked me "Are you sure? That might be too spicy". Knowing my love of spice, I said 6 is good! However when I started eating, my faceholes became faucets; eyes watering like a water can, and nose dripping like a rain gutter. The waitress asked me multiple times (while watching me suffer) if I wanted it remade less spicy, but I declined, loving the dish nonetheless. 10/10 would become a waterworks again

Tikka masala taste was sour, not the creamy/sweeter taste it typically is served with. The garlic on the naan was burnt and there was no butter on it. The vegetable biryani was outrageously spicy. Overall not a good experience and not worth the $40 nor the excitement of dining out.

I spent over $70 here for lunch for myself and a coworker and we were both very disappointed. The garden salad wasn’t at all what we expected but even worse was our main dish was way too spicy for a level 1. Money wasted, lesson learned, won’t be ordering from this restaurant anymore.

The food is absolutely delicious and well worth the price. The lunch buffet is also super tasty. The best deal is on Mondays! Only thing is that we've walked there a few times for lunch during week days only to find out they were randomly closed. :( We need our Tandoori fix!

Me and my other two friends went there. We were travelling and looking for some Indian Food. We all ordered the Biriyani. The biriyani tasted absolutely lame and untasty. I thought the biriyani wasn't actually biriyani but just colored rice mixed with a bland chicken curry. I wasn't that mad at the biriyani but my friend said it was the worst biriyani he ever had and that he felt sick. The food portions were big which was one good thing. They ask for the spice level on the scale of 1-10 when you order food which is also lame since It almost feels like they just add Siracha sauce to the "Biriyani" to increase its spiciness. We all paid our bills and left very disappointed feeling like we wasted our money.
