We offer you the reviews of real people like you who know the products and services of Respect Is Burning Kitchen and Bar (Restaurant) around Sudbury territory (Canada).
Nowadays the firm has a score of 4.4 out of 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is really high, and it's founded on a high number of opinions, so we can think that the score is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Italian restaurant.
Awesome steak but awful fries (greasy). Very attentive server and great cocktails.
Dinner was amazing as usual. Never had a bad experience at RiB
Wonderful food, excellent service, amazing atmosphere, best place to spend your Saturday night! You must eat here!
We've be going for years and love this place. The staff is amazing and the food is some of the best in town. They must have had a change up in the kitchen because it's even better and we are finding ourselves going weekly.
Having heard that this place has the best food in town, I was slightly disappointed at how the noodles I had turned out to be. Not great. Apparently the dishes others had weren't too great either. Hence the 4 stars. Apart from that, everything else was pretty nice. We booked the banquet hall upstairs which was great. The servers were courteous.
Amazing food and such a great atmosphere. Server Alex was so amazing and gave awesome input in what dishes to have. Worth the close to five hour drive if I had to come to Sudbury again. ????????
We were travelling through Sudbury and Respect is Burning was recommend by another restaurant owner. We are so glad we stopped. The menu and food rivaled anything found in Waterloo and seriously put Toronto to the test. We loved the atmosphere, the drinks and the food was amazing.
We had a take-out. Just pizza and Salad. Everything was tasty and with unique touches. Pizza was as we liked, not too thick crust and lots of toppings. Unfortunately, we couldn’t try tiramisu, it was discontinued.
Server was surly and phony; did not appreciate the continuous up sell approach. Only one type of wine sold by the glass, otherwise must buy a whole bottle (poor form). Other wines were available by the glass BUT ONLY if you ordered the very pricey 3 course dinner. I asked the server for a glass of that wine, she said NO, couldn't do it! The steak ordered was tough. Restaurant is very cold and crowded. Lamb was good however. For an experience where you feel that the restaurant is doing you a favour to take your money, don't hesitate to go.
Went with two other couples and the food was incredible. I had one of their pasta dishes and it was honestly so delicious, I forgot my leftovers in my car and the next day my car smelled fantastic lol. It did take a while to get our food but they were super busy so that is very understandable! Would definitely recommend!
Every time I go here I find something g changed or new menu items... And I love it!!! Their food is exceptional and the environment is perfect. Not too loud but not so quiet where you can't have a conversation!
We ordered their take home family bundle special (for four), which included two pepperoni pizzas, gnocchi, meatballs, and potato wedges for $59.95. It was delicious! There were also great options if you wanted to add items to this special, such as a Caesar salad, wine, wings, or additional pizzas, meatballs or gnocchi.
Seating is too close together. I don't want to hear what the couple beside me are talking about and its very disruptive to my conversation. They brought the pizza out on coffee cans, which were both ugly and dysfunctional as they were almost knocked off the already small table several times. I'm not sure if they know about other spices besides salt because that's all I could taste. Even the pizza sauce just tasted like a can of crushed tomatoes was thrown on there. I can make better pizza at home for an eighth of the price. What a waste of money. The waitress was no where to be seen for the last half of the meal, we wanted to order dessert but lost our appetite after the hostess (filling in for the waitress) used her fingers and grimy fake nails to move my pizza (that I couldn't finish because it was so damn salty) into the takeout container. When I brought it up she defended herself by saying she washes her hands "pretty often". I just saw her picking up dishes and cutlery not 5 minutes earlier. This was actually one of the worst experiences for dining I've had in sudbury. I would have liked to talk to someone there but again no one is to be found. So we paid full price for the garbage (that I only even got to eat half of) and left just to get out of this hell hole.
Food was phenomenal and service was great! So glad we chose this place for dinner with a couple of girlfriends. We started with smoked cauliflower and crispy mushroom salad, then an incredible bruschetta made with cream cheese and sautéed mushrooms, the main was the most incredible beef steak with a tomato and arugula salad, completed with a house tiramisu that was one of the best desserts we've ever had. Thank you to Rob for the incredible food and impeccable service!
Delicious food, great service. The environment is very trendy. I did find it crowded- tables were very close together and the acoustics weren't great. Found it difficult to have a personal conversation without feeling ad though others were listening.
Food was just alright. It's right downtown so the crowd can get a bit tough. Not an area of town you want to be in late evenings. Service was attentive,
Had dinner last nite wow so impressed. You have to try the fried mushrooms promise you it is amazing
Food and drinks were delicious, and the wait staff was very accommodating and friendly. However despite the long lines, certain groups were seated immediately, despite the phone system saying no reservations. Edit: So it seems I can't reply to the owner directly, but I definitely didn't think about the fact that there were probably a ton of previous reservations. That makes a ton of sense, and I definitely appreciate him clearing up that misunderstanding, and I think it's a great sign they're still honouring reservations that have been made months and months ago! To re-iterate, the food was amazing, and I definitely look forward to going back to Respect is Burning!
The best food, amazing ambiance, wonderful staff and service... What more could you ask for? Every time I dine here I am thoroughly content and I always leave satisfied. Thank you Rob and staff for always making my night exceptional.
Food was tasty. Music was loud. I had the ribs. My friend had the salmon. Sausage and garlic bread was an appetizer for two. It was all great!
We were not impressed by the value of the meal nor the price all items purchased . All 4 people we dined with had a similar tasting food, far too salty and poor choice of side dishes for the meals. I would not reccomend this restaurant there are far superior restaurants in the sudbury area for the same price range.
We went for mother's birthday. No drunks hanging about and most of your staff speaks English.
The place felt very safe with COVID-19 measures in place. The Chef/Owner truly cares about his guests experiences and you can taste the passion he has for cooking in every bite you take. If you have the chance to go to this restaurant speak with Rob to create you a magical, out of this world dining experience.
We are sorry that open table has 4 seats you are 2 there will be a 30 min wait. Rob you are a joke never to return
Amazing food, subpar service, uncomfortable seats. The food is amazing, some of the best I've had, the service however not so much, greeters were more interest in talking to each other then us, even though we had a reservation still had to stand there, server was nice though slow & forgetful. Seats are not comfortable at all, just plain old chairs. The atmosphere is nice, music playing at all times, it is loud inside, some cool art work on the wall. Again the food is amazing, the service not so much.
Ignore the negative comments. This place is remarkable. The best food in town! A must try! You won’t be disappointed! ???? The food was absolutely divine! Highly, highly, highly recommend this place. The place felt very safe with COVID-19 measures in place. Thanks for Respect is Burning Staff for such a memorable experience!
I was never a big fan of Respect Is Burning before the restaurant caught fire. But, I decided to give the restaurant another opportunity. I would be lying if I would ever recommend this restaurant to anyone. Where to start. The decor has improved drastically! This is most likely the only good thing to say. Its very clean, its a really bright restaurant and is pleasantly places right downtown - superb! Now that happy time is over - The food is insanely expensive for what you get. 25$ for pasta, no bread or beverage. The taste was very lingering. It did not have a very Italian taste, it was more American oriented pasta. It is not worth what you pay. I would dwell on other items, however I believe that outlying that this restaurant has about 95% pasta dishes that are all priced in the 20$+ range, well, it just shows carelessness from the owners. PLEASE AVOID
Dine in
Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. But let's be honest, I would eat Rob's food out of a cardboard box as long as its his food. The flavors and freshness of his ingredients is mindblowing. Finished eating Steak pizzaiola and paired with the perfect red wine. My mind is blown and my stomach is full. The homecooked feeling of this food is remarkable. Rob, you always treat my best friend so good, I'm so glad I got to have had the pleasure to have a meal by you! And our server, Brandon! You're amazing! Seriously couldn't have had better service! Thank you so much again for another amazing meal, we will be back soon!
This place is the gold standard for food around the world. It is good and bad.... Bad because there isn't anything that comes close to quality, flavor or presentation of the food here! Good because it makes every visit memorable! Can't wait to come back.
I stumbled across the Respect is Burning facebook page while searching for restaurants while visiting Sudbury this weekend. Food posted on the page were a huge turn off......they look very unappetizing. However, I read the reviews and took my chance. Excellent dining experience, staff was great and food was even better. Just wished your fine dining experience translated effectively to your posts. I would rate the experience a 5/5 stars, but the huge debate I had before going in leaves me only able to give it 3 stars.
Yummiest meatballs and salad I have had in town. Staff were all super impressed with the food. Asked if we could visit again.
I am not from Sudbury but saw the Respect is Burning certificates at Costco so decided to give it a try, and what a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is beautiful, the food very good and the service excellent: attentive, friendly and timely. The menu is primarily pasta which I had eaten the night before, so ordered the ribs (and a couple of Beaus Lugtreads) which were tasty, served with garlic potatoes (delicious) and lots of green beans, while my wife ordered a pasta dish which she quite enjoyed (she was quite pleased it served piping hot). We arrived on a Wednesday at 5 and by 6 pm, Respect is Burning was packed so reservations would a good idea. I will definitely come back next time i am in Sudbury.
Amazing food and even better service.
The food was AMAZING, there was no question about it ... now as for the service we received this evening, I can't say the same ... we contemplated a few times just getting up and leaving ... 35 almost 40 mins of waiting before we were even offered water, let alone had our drink order taken ... I find this unacceptable .. (we watched 3 tables that arrived AFTER us be served and drinks brought out to them ..) Food alone would be 5 stars ???? hands down .. but due to the poor service and feeling like we were just being "passed off" (the "reasoning" we received from a waitress) ... I've opted with the 3 star ...
Got some take out pizza and it was fantastic, even when eaten cold the next day. An unnecessary amount of onions as you can see in the picture but the flavour was pretty wild. I would definitely like to visit this place again as I was only able to try this pizza and their pasta list was long and intricate so I can only imagine how could one of those dishes would be.
It was our second visit to Respect is Burning. Definitely not our last. We asked the hostess for a warm place to sit and we were seated next to the kitchen in the back. Our server, John, was awesome. He actually remembered what we ordered on our first visit in August! Tonight was raised to new levels when Rob, the restaurant owner, came to our table to welcome us. He asked if we had been there before, how we liked the food, where we were from. After this great conversation, he asked if he could prepare something special for us! His creation was amazing and was not something off the menu! It has our thumbs up if he's looking to add it to the regular menu. (My name is Jennifer if you need a name for the dish!! smiles) There was absolutely no doubt that he truly loves what he does! This incredible restaurant is our definite go to place when we visit Sudbury. Sorry to sound so stoked about this place but we really are stoked!! Check out Respect is Burning, you will LOVE it!!
Overall a great dining experience. The ambience and lighting are fantastic. Though the decor is - ahem - divisive? - it's edgy and a love-it-or-hate-it feel. Personally...I love it. The food is great, and the service is very good. There are a lot of busy bodies running around taking care of the place. The dishes are unique and not the typical burger/poutine routine. I highly recommend it - a true way to experience the best downtown Sudbury has on offer.
The pizza was great and so was service. The desert was good, but spoiled by "canned" whipped cream. Would've been perfect without it, or with the real stuff.
Our experience was fantastic! The service was amazing, the food and menu selection was almost too much; so hard to decide. Atmosphere was fun and the music was great. We can't wait to go back.
The hospitality of the servers makes you feel welcome and relaxed, even in these trying times. The ambience of the place is both soothing, and engaging. The very thought of the food makes my mouth water. It's so delicious, and perfectly prepared that it is almost addictive. I HIGHLY recommend Respect Is Burning!
For an Italian themed restaurant… seems to be lacking the essentials. Fresh bread, balsamic and olive oil… fresh mozzarella, not scooped out of a bowl. Chef made it right last time we visited upon request. Love this place otherwise!
I don't know who is rating this place at five stars ( must be employees or owners ) Made a reservation for my wife and I. Our table was in the worst possible location as we were placed in very high traffic area and with a tiny table. Felt like we had to tuck our elbows in every time someone walked by. We asked for an other table before we were seated, asked again after we were given our menu and realized the traffic issue ( we could see other tables were available ) but the server never came back. We waited 5-10 minutes, put our coats on and left... there are a lot of other restaurants that will gladly take my money and provide reasonable service. Never had the food so I can comment on that. We ended up at MIC steak house and the food and service were fantastic.
Fun, approachable atmosphere. Fantastic food. I have to repeat how absolutely delicious the food is. Excellent portions and high quality and attentive waitstaff. One of the best small restaurants in sudbury and definitely worth a reservation.
Food delicious, portions Good, prices a bit expensive
So delicious and healthy and love the diversity
I was told that Respect is a must-do for a delicious Sudbury experience, so I was very excited to try it! However, my customer service experience was so incredibly awful that I will never go back. Service was very slow- understandable because it was a Friday night. However, while the rest of the table recieved their food (pizzas and apps), I never got mine. After the others finished eating I was able to flag down the waitress to ask if my pizza was still coming. Turns out that she forgot to put in the order, and the kitchen was closed now but she could still offer a regular pepperoni pizza. That's totally fine! Mistakes happen, so I happily ordered the pepperoni. After another 45 minutes the final bills were brought out, and still no pizza. When she gave the bill (which included the pizza) I pointed out that I never recieved it. She went back to check with the kitchen and apparently the pizza was made but never made it to the table. She took off the pizza from the bill, and when we asked if we could have a discount on the cake we did get (the only other thing we ordered) she asked her manager. The manager said no, and she said if we didn't agree that she could get him for us- we said sure, we would like to hear it from him. This is where my 1 star review comes in. The waitress returned and said, verbatim: "He's very busy in the kitchen right now. We are very understaffed and he does not have time to deal with a petty little problem like this. You have to pay the full price and leave." I understand that you are busy- it's Friday night. I don't really get why he was busy in the kitchen as the kitchen closed at 11, but still that's fine. But telling your customer, TO THEIR FACE, that their valid complaint about the meal and service was "a petty little problem"? Completely unacceptable. As the restaurant themselves replied to another review, this is a human business that makes mistakes sometimes. Calling your customer, to their face, a "petty little problem" is no mistake. I was not acting irrationally, I did not raise my voice, I politely said "yes" when SHE OFFERED to get the manager to come talk to me. I am genuinely baffled at a comment like this being said directly to a customer. Many of the negative reviews involve the restaurant being short staffed, which is a problem that can be out of the managers hands sometimes. But perhaps the staff that do actually show up should undergo a bit of customer service retraining.
Culinary adventures, great wines, great service and now a swank patio. Sounds like a winning formula for a great nite out!!! Thank You Rob and staff.
I'm from Louisiana and have quite a refined palette, and this restaurant has such excellent food and the most relaxed upscale atmosphere. Thanks for making our New Year's Eve dinner wonderful Rob!
It's my 2nd time here and this one was with the family. The food is really good. We had Pastas, Smoked Chicken and Salmon, each dish was flavorful and Awesome. The waitress was really kind and looked into each detail of order. We are definitely going there again...
...an experience; socially, visually and gastronomically. Exciting, vibrant and colourful. The can't miss stop for anyone of any age visiting or enjoying life in the big nickel, from an intimate dining experience for date night or the perfect spot to collect, break bread and connect with friends. Rob, Mini and staff have perfected the very idea of hip northern hospitality!
Amazing. Great food, and by that I mean probably the best I've ever had. Awesome and friendly staff. Rob is just amazing, always makes sure that you have an exceptional experience. Great sized portions, not crazy big, but definitely enough that you leave full and very satisfied, and quite reasonably priced as well. Literally can't say enough good things, we spent most of the meal talking about how good our meals were. The atmosphere is great, we were all dressed up, and there were others there in everyday clothes, and nobody looked out of place, just a great place to have a great time. I will definitely be going back.
Amazing food. Some of the best bites I've ever had. Amazing service and I could tell our server was smiling the whole time even with a mask! R.I.B thank you!
Love this restaurant, always great service and delicious gourmet food!
Absolutely fantastic! My family and I have visited Respect is burning a few times and each time the food has been fresh, flavourful and unique. Personally I don't like muscles, but I loved the muscles. I don't like risotto, but I loved the risotto. I don't like lamb, but I loved the lamb chop. nice
Food and service was great, only complaint would be , that at a table of 10 we had half table served about 5 min after the rest... other than that everything was great!
The pizza options were amazing and our choices were excellent. You really should try the gnocchi appetizer....it was incredible - so flavourful and unlike anything I’ve ever had. The place is very noisy....our only negative comment. Great experience. I would encourage people to make a reservation...we were just lucky and hit a cancellation.
Had dinner with my beautiful wife on your new patio tonight. It was amazing. Rob the food was delicious…as always. The patio heaters created a wonderful ambiance as the weather was a little questionable. Great job on the patio and I promise next time I will have some grappa!! Thanks Jennifer for all the advice an great service.
Dinner
This is so far one of my favourite places to eat when here! The chicken with mozza and prosciutto served on mashed with those amazing beans omg!! To die for. The beef cappricio dear lord! Also the smoked salmon bruschetta is a must! Been here twice never disappointed. Top notch!
Respect is the place to be if you enjoy premium drinks, authentic italian food, live music and a vintage environment. Everywhere you look is artistically pleasing.
Great atmosphere. Amazing food !
Really good food and ambiance. Our server Jennifer was very sweet and answered our questions patiently. She also gave good recommendations. We loved the patio and the drinks! If you are in Sudbury don't miss out the food here!!
Very Good Dinner. I have eaten here many times and the Food is always good. good variety of pastas and the regular meals are very good as well.We have not yet tried Pizza although they look great. You should not be disappointed dining here
Hip exposed brick walls, retro tables and lighting. Comic book images on the menus gives this place a super cool image. Service excellent. Food was portioned well and tasted great. The selection on the menu relied on a lot of long noodle dishes - tagliatelle, spaghetti, pappardelle. There were two or three ravioli dishes. Is this because they are making pasta by hand? My only issue was with the 2 person tables - they are a little close together. I will recommend to friends!
With regards to taste, this is probably the best authentic Italian place I have been to. A great selection of pasta dishes. Luckily we got there early and got a table as it filled up fast. The prices were really reasonable as well. When I asked for a straw for my bloody Caesar, I was told it would cost 5 cents because it was a paper straw lol For a classy place I just found this a bit odd.
Nice Italian restaurant. Good selection of pasta dishes and a great drink menu. Servers are a little slow getting to the tables and returning with drinks, but maybe they're under staffed? Overall, food and drinks were satisfying!
Fantastic food, good portions and a great atmosphere. Feels like some shabby sheik with awesome meals. I am impressed.
A place that feeds you with lots of love! My fav place in Sudbury
The service and atmosphere is nice but the food is way over priced and not worth it for the quality. Btw they charge a lot for drink refills even if it is only a soda and the first glass is a small mason jar.
Amazing!! The portions are huge and soooo tasty!! Everything tastes home-made and yet elevated. The ribs were incredible. The atmosphere and decor is so unique and authentic. Our server Alex was very friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable, he suggested a great pasta! Can’t wait to come back!
Always a good start. Drink orders were taken and delivered quickly and we took time to read the menu. It takes time because it has so many choices and great sounding options. It was hard to choose. In the end we had the Sky Valley Bruschetta and the Eggplant Parmesan. Main course was tagliatelle salsiccia and bucatini with zucchini. thanks
It was a Google search that brought us to this restaurant, and for once, Google was 100% accurate. I searched "best restaurants in Sudbury" and Respect is Burning fit those search terms perfectly. Our server was flawless, helpful and delightful, and the food was flawless and delightful. The Pan Chicken Marsala and the Tagliatella Venezia were both delicious and perfect. Can't wait to come back to Sudbury just to be able to eat here again. A winner on all counts!
Dined here this past weekend and was really impressed! The staff were polite and courteous. Food was prepared fast and drinks were never left empty. The server was incredible in checking to make sure we had everything we needed and the food was of good quality. Would definitely dine here again!
Ordered the Valentine’s Day special for my wife and I, and it was amazing. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Top it off with friendly service and you’ve got a recipe for a great dining experience, even in these somewhat twisted times.
The food was great! And it was a new experience. I got some pasta and enjoyed every bite! The garlic bread was my favourite! The atmosphere was calming. And the service was quick despite the dinner rush! Keep up the good work guys!
Service was good my wife's dinner was good but myself I ordered a 10 oz ribeye it came by itself on a plate with shoestring french fries in a bowl. The steak and fries cost $36 I ordered green beans on the side they charge me $9 for that I'm not complaining about the prices I'm complaining about the only thing on my plate was a steak nothing else and the worst cut steak never will I ever eat there again. Meal type
Respect Is Burning is a restaurant which features a bar and is connected to a nightclub (of sorts). It is also undeniably somewhere that seeks to become a regular fabric of your life (which I will just go ahead and say is a good thing). The staff here are friendly and a reflection of the values of the owner. Rob is someone who wants you to feel comfortable when you get in and it's undeniable in the choice of furniture, the decor, and the way that the restaurant is set up. He regularly introduces himself to patrons (and definitely knows his regulars) and is very helpful with providing recommendations on the menu. To paraphrase him, this menu is your Italian grandmother's menu - not the type of fancy Italian stuff that you might splurge on at another restaurant across town, but the type of thing that you sit down to and enjoy. I myself could not figure out what I wanted to eat, so Rob offered to pick a few things for me to try. I do not know what exactly I was given (with the exception that it was universally delicious), but I started the meal off with a sort of bruschetta (well seasoned, started off the meal perfectly). Followed up with a pasta dish which was delightful. But the next two dishes were undoubtedly the highlights. There was a light salad which featured lightly fried shiitake mushrooms, which paired excellently with the rest of the greens. I highly recommend some variation of this salad to anyone who comes in. Coupled with the salad was a dry aged steak which was seared brilliantly, served in a tomato-sauce which gave it just the right amount of acidity. The pricing of the dishes were unknown to myself, as the final bill only featured my drink and the item 'open dishes', but from my perusal of the menu prior to my conversation with Rob, it definitely seems fairly priced for a restaurant with the type of culinary output that I enjoyed. I really enjoyed myself and if I am ever back in the area, will undoubtedly return. It is clear that Rob cares about his patrons, is involved in the regular running of his restaurant, and his staff also share the same dedication to service as far as I could see.
Great food and fantastic service! Recommended!
My favourite place in the city. Amazing pasta dishes with a different atmosphere. Rob always takes the time when he's there to make sure your meal was perfect. You don't see that very often. Always taking the extra step for customer service!
We had the most amazing diner here last night. Great Staff, huge drink selection and very nice pricing. But if all of that won't bring you back then its only because the food will make you never want to leave. It was truly out of this world. We enjoyed an Vegan menu and will honestly say that no one in town that comes close to Respect is Burning.
We have eaten here several times and never been disappointed. Cocktail choices are varied. The appetizers ate wonderful. Main menu offers something for everyone but the pizza and pasta choices are fantastic. Interesting decor and live music some nights. It can get a lititle loud but that's because it's so popular. It's in downtown Sudbury and that's one of the things I like best about it.
Service
The Saltimbocca was good, the Bellini was on point. I am not sure what about that thing was a tiramisu, but if you are expecting an even remotely traditional tiramisu this is not it. The atmosphere is okay, tables are pretty tight and music a smidgen loud.
Outlaw entertainment was great. Food served for $100 / person was terrible. Pizza app was decent. Caesar salad with tomatoes & onions. No bacon, cheese or croutons??? was very disappointing. Out of the bag wedges for potatoes. Sausage & chicken parts smothered in sauce was the only entree. Slab cake with 1/2 strawberry & a small shot of cream was very dry. NOT what I expected @ Respect is Burning especially for that price.
I must start by saying the food was absolutely fantastic! The low review is due to the service! Our drinks ran dry and it took the waitress 15 min to check on us, and another 10 to 15 to receive a fresh drink! At $13 a drink, I could have easily had 4 during my meal, but was restricted to 2 due to the slow service! It is a quick thing to serve with great revenue for the owner!...there is no need for any customer to wait 20 - 30 minutes between drinks! It is really unfortunate because as stated at the beginning, the food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the food!
Really tasty food and great ambience
We happened to find this place on Google when we were visiting Sudbury this Summer from the GTA area and are we ever happy we did. We ended up eating here not once but TWO NIGHTS in a row!! The food was absolutely divine! Highly, highly, highly recommend this place. The place felt very safe with COVID-19 measures in place. The Chef/Owner truly cares about his guests experiences and you can taste the passion he has for cooking in every bite you take. If you have the chance to go to this restaurant speak with Rob to create you a magical, out of this world dining experience. He will recommend dishes that pair so well together and curate something for every person on the table. We had a pescatarian and a shellfish allergy at our table, he managed to blow every dish out of the water. We were left speechless after every bite. To name some of the incredible dishes we enjoyed: - Deep Woods Brushetta - Crispy Oyster Mushrooms - Crispy Beans - Nonna’s Meatballs - Parmigiana Eggplant - Sizzling Lamchops - pasta which I forgot the name of (pictures below) - dessert (didn’t get the name of but also pictured below) Needless to say, go eat here! We are so grateful to have found this restaurant. Our favourite Italian restaurant outside of Italy. We would drive 4 hours from Toronto just to eat here it was THAT GOOD! Thanks for Respect is Burning Staff for such a memorable experience!
Was there with my spouse on March 5th, 2021. Absolutely fantastic. Everything was great. Food was unbelievable, drinks, service, ambiance. Best place in Sudbury hands down.
Amazing food, great ambience and top notch customer service..
Excellent dining experience! My ravioli was cooked to perfection and the sauce was very flavourful! My friend had the maple salmon and loved her meal as well. Excellent service and ambiance. I will definitely be returning when in Sudbury.Ottawa, On.
Ate here this Saturday and had the most amazing experience and the most wonderful food! We were a table of 13 (rowdy people) and Bailey handled us like a champ! No hiccups, everything was served to us in such an organized and fluid manner. No mistakes, everything was hot and served at the perfect time. Drinks were delicious and Bailey and staff were incredible. Keep up the great work!! Cheers!
Delicious food! Great location with a great atmosphere! Service was fast and friendly. Recommend you make reservations if possible as we did have a pretty long wait.
This is a kind of bar and restaurant too. There were many families on the tables, it was cosy and relaxing environment. I and my 05 friends ordered Craft beers appetizers and we loved them. The staff was friendly and attenciosly, as the pattern of Canadian services.
Ordered the family dinner (pizza, meatballs, gnocchi, and wedges) and it didn't disappoint. The order was more than enough food for our family of 5 (2 of them being teenage boys). Do yourself a favour and order extra meatballs - they are phenomenal. Will definitely order again. We even got the recommended bottle of red wine and it was delicious too!
Alex our server is excellent. He is professional, attentive, and although he’s wearing a mask you can see he is always smiling by his eyes. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is phenomenal. We are from out of town but will definitely be back. We highly recommend this restaurant.
This is one of the best restaurants we have been to in quite a while. The beverage menu offers a nice variety of wines by the glass and bottle. The dinner menu offers lots of delicious options which all come out in very reasonable portions. We enjoyed the mussels and mushroom salad for appetizers and lamb and salmon for our mains. To top it off the service was great. The server was able to answer all of our questions regarding the menu and beverage items and provided impeccable service. We will definitely be returning to enjoy the unique retro atmosphere and carefully crafted menu.
It is an unusual place for sure with bizarre decor and ambiance. The service was okay, the food was real good though. The rib steak was not the most tender in the world, although the taste was great. The ribs were simply delicious, the dry rub was heavenly, the meat was a bit rubberish though.
Should not be as expensive as it is. Waitress forgot our drinks, and didn’t ask how our meal was. My gnocchi was soupy and overcooked. The Bellini I got was essentially juice with iced cubes in it. After all the good things I’ve heard about this place, extremely disappointed, will not be going back.
