Order the spicy fries with breakfast. They're essentially waffle fries. Best greasy spoon in town.
Delicious breakfast and nice fruit presentation.
Excellent continuous service from all servers. Food was quick for breakfast and definitely abundant. Very comfortable surroundings and pleasant atmosphere. Prices were very acceptable. Looking forward to next visit.
Decent menu selection and portions. A bit on the expensive side for the atmosphere.
It's better than the breakfast chains in town. Lots of variety on the menu.
Usually I would rate Gloria's very highly. In the past there food and service has been great. However this morning when we went staff was extremely rude. When my boyfriend ordered a milkshake and asked if he could have the leftover milkshake that doesn't fit in the glass on the side ( something they've done in the past.) the server was obviously annoyed and said she would ask her boss. When they brought the milkshake out the boss came out as well and was extremely rude. She lectured him about how they don't give out the leftover milkshake and how what he did was not nice? She then proceeded to pour the additional milkshake into the glass making it over flow. This entire situation was blown way out of proportion. We ended up leaving after that terrible service.
Great diner experience, I go for the all day breakfast but all of thier food us good. Thier desserts aren't as good as they used to be but the staff is friendly and great.
Great service. Wonderful food. Always eat breakfast here when in town.
We only went there for breakfast, the portion was good, they have all day breakfast. The bathroom were also cleaning
Fantastic place for all day breakfast, and I don't usually like breakfast food but they had eggs Benedict with salmon which was great
Great service, can really tell the new owners are putting everything into customer satisfaction!
Gloria’s is one of my favourite hometown restaurants. When ever I am in town, I always drop in for breakfast and have never left still hungry or disappointed. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and you better try a butter tart or two.
Garbage! Hard eggs, lunch meat on a small Julien salad for over 12 dollars! My whole family worked there for years myself included, and it's sad to see the history of great food has become a tragedy!
Unorganized in the kitchen but front staff is on point Order scrambled eggs & bacon no toast with potato--- got soggy tomatoe thrown over my hot food which looked gross... waited 25min to have to take breakfast to go--- eggs weren't even fluffy they were flat & cut up weirdly--- a lil disapointed
This place used to have the best breakfast in town, always had great food!!!! ..... now it's just OK. Went Nov '15 and was fairly disappointed. What happened to the old Glorias?? Don't think we will go back.
Would rate this among the best diner type restaurants in the city. Food is good and the service is even better.
Attentive service and good food. Nice selection of breakfast and lunch items.
old time friendly place with wide menu bit great breakfasts
Super friendly service with great food
I have been eating here since I was a little girl and it's one of the best "homestyle" places to go!
Awesome Food and Amazing Service! These servers genuinely enjoy their customers. The New Indian features are the best Indian food in town. I love how there menu labels things like Vegan and gluten free options. I don't hesitate to recommend this Restaurant.
Great breakfasts and all day breakfast. The addition of Indian dinner options on Thursday evenings is great; fair prices and good food.
Super chill, staff were quick and polite, food was cooked perfectly, pretty much all I can ask for.
It's been a part of the Sudbury scene for decades, and although it has been renovated a few times and cigarette smoke no longer clouds the place, the character remains the same. Stick with basic breakfast grill fare and you'll be okay; just don't expect much more. Recently they have added cards with tips on healthy eating, but when (inspired by the cards) I ordered a salad, it came with frozen iceberg lettuce, a few shaved carrots, and some flavorless cherry tomatoes. Not impressive.
Nice friend atmosphere. Great service. Home made food. Large variety.
One of those staples of Sudbury breakfast. I was happy to see a dedicated breakfast poutine on the menu! Hollandaise sauce was good (very rich). And my kids food was very well cooked. Looking forward to going back.
My mom wants to come here any time she comes to visit. She's looking forward to a Gloria's breakfast post-COVID!
The food was pretty good, my home fries were a little underdone nothing special about them oh, I also got a crepe which is $9 but it was Giant and it was very tasty I also got a side of strawberries with cream to put on top. I give it a 3.5 for breakfast, service was very good. I'll come back and try lunch and supper another time.
Been here a number of times. Good enough diner-style faire with a few pub favourites. Breakfast is good, if busy, but this place is probably best at supper. Get the Chicken Parm, tastes great and is big enough for two people. Avoid weekends, and skip the coffee.
Wonderful place but always busy furring breakfast. Expect a wait for big groups.
The food was delicious but the pricing was outrageous and the service was inconsiderate of my set budget. The waitress grabbed my cup and refilled it without me wanting more pop only to find out we were charged for that refill. Also, we payed $9.23 for a small regular fries and gravy with vegan cheese added to it. Highway robbery for vegan cheese. I was also lied to about the spiciness/heat of a dish which we ordered under the assumption it wasnt and it was very hot. The restaurant was full to capacity, we had to wait 20 minutes for a table and once seated the staff was disorganized due to the seating arrangements in the restaurant. Too many tables to serve. The waitress we were supposed to get had lost us/her table to another waitress who felt the need to take it over. I'm sorry to say that this restaurant has lost its original standing with this customer with it's new owners.
The food was amazing and Debbie was great! Loved the atmosphere! Is well worth a visit!
Out dated, horrible set up, very little staff. Home fries were almost burnt (like they don't change the oil) waited 20 to be seated and they were sitting people who came in after me, Complained to manager and she just said its not her fault its busy
Service could’ve been better, should have been friendlier and more attentive. The Canadian skillet was plain and needed a sauce and vegetables.
Went there on both Thursday and Friday this week. The food was top-tier. Very fresh and cooked perfectly with tons of flavor and a real home-cooked vibe. My parents had the chicken parmesan and they got it with two pieces of chicken. It was such a large serving of food that it could easily have served another person is in addition to them! I tried some of the spaghetti and it was perfectly done and tasted so good! I had the Spartan burger and it was really like a burger and a Reuben sandwich combined. It was simply delicious, bursting flavor and had a perfectly cooked patty. At our next visit, the next day, we all had the breakfast and we chose to have the grilled home fries. They were soft and flavorful had all the yumminess of pan fried potatoes. They even have an option to put grilled onions on top which impressed us all and they were SO good. They also offer the option of rye toast! The baked beans also impressed us because not a lot of restaurants offer those. They were soft, flavorful tomato beans and were perfectly seasoned. I had the hungry man breakfast because I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat. It was filling, tasty and wholesome comfort food - and they serve it all day to boot! I'm moving to Sudbury soon and I will honestly say that they have won a customer over. At both of our visits, the staff were nothing but kind to me and my parents and made me feel right at home in a city where I don't know anybody yet. I will be back again. ♡
Food was just fine. Home fries were not crispy, coffee was really inconsistent between refills, to name a few obvious misses. the value for what you pay just isn't there.
Great menu (many options and good portions), clean, friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Best place for breakfast in Sudbury!
Clean, good menu selection, gluten free options. Service was kind and quick definitely recommend
We check the reviews and went to Gloria's for the first time and found that the bill wasn't the special and they added on coffee at 2:50 a piece and onions and the number of items on our bill and we didn't check till the next day for the same price we could have stayed at our hotel and had a breakfast buffet disappointing.
Excellent staff and great food. If you're in the mood for some delicious dinner stlye food, head to Gloria's for a great experience!
The fish and chips we're tasty and not greasy. The menu had good variety, though the prices were high. I wouldn't pay 17 for a reuben sandwich and side.
French toast and fruit are delicious here.
Wow not impressed..service was poor... food was decent for breakfast however way over priced thus we won't be back breakfast for family of 4 shouldn't cost $100! My husband and I can't drink caffeine twice our waitress needed to be reminded.
Prices are too high for the meals you get there ! Once was a great place to eat with family and now I will not be going back !
Pricing it obscene. Will not be returning or recommending. 27$ for a 3 egg omelette and a cream soup. Didnt want the fries or toast so they gave me an extra egg. I feel robbed and want my money back. The food wasnt even that good, I make better omelettes at home that arent dry and a cream soup that actually tastes creamy.
Too much vegan on the menu takes up real estate for other options. Update: To take up a full page of the menu, it would be better served as a beverage page. Place a green V beside menu items that have a vegan alternative. You over did it.
A busy Sunday morning but a great place for breakfast. Get the premium coffee, it is worth the extra cost. There is a separate vegan menu for those with restrictions. Great service, friendly and attentive staff.
Fabulous breakfast quick and fun friendly service. Awesome cooks! Got to go to Gloria's.
food is not bad it used to be a place of choice but prices are very high and food is not great anymore
Nice little diner, friendly staff and good food!
Slow service. Mixed up orders. Store bought-like muffins. It used to be a better place for breakfast.
Food is always excellent, this is my go-to breakfast place!
Not just bad service, mean service. The owner was upset that I asked for another cup for the extra milkshake that gets made and they poured the milkshake on my table. Absolutely astonished that such mean people exist. Used to love this place, not ever coming back.
These guys are great! The food is amazing. I guess it's an unfortunate fact of life that costs go up. That, and they get crazy busy, so you might end up waiting for a bit to get your food.
This restaurant has a wide variety of foods including all day breakfast and many other options for dinner foods. The food was delicious and our waiter was very helpful and kind.
Staff is very friendly and where very helpful when I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat. Food is amazing!! Great overall experience
Excellent historical place and experience
Amazing food, great service, huge portions for the price. Fast service with a smile. Its a true hole in the wall diner. Everything is homemade. Clean, welcoming atmosphere. Great for dates and family nights.
There were sweet staff here, but it was so slow and you had to ask multiple times for things like a refill on your drink. It took close to an hour to get our food, and I had asked for no mushrooms because of an allergy. The food had mushrooms. The waitress apologized and said she didn't know it was for an allergy, which is a pet peeve of mine because I asked for it a certain way so just bring it to me that way. Then we had to wait for my meal to come again. They were so nice, but it was just so slow and unprofessional.
I popped in for dinner and had an okay time. First the positives, the food was hot and plentiful, and the service was fast and friendly. I found Gloria's really expensive ($18.29 for a Clubhouse and $15.45 for a Meatball sub (+ drinks, taxes and tip). There were also a lot of fly's buzzing around which we're quite annoying and rather unusual for mid October. There is a loyal clientele, which is great. I will be back for breakfast, but will pass in the future for dinner.
Delicious food, quick great service, covid safe and again it is DELICIOUS.
this is "the" Sudbury classic greassy spoon! they serve the best portion of beans at breakfast, quick friendly service.
Baked beans were okay, everything else was great. Good service ????
The food is always a guaranteed hit. Prices reasonable and staff friendly and fun!
Glorias now has some vegan and gluten free dishes. That is great. My meal was delicious and at a great temperature. Staff are always courteous and attentive. :)
Coffee kept on coming and the eggs benny were delicious.
Pricing is ridiculous! $18.29 for a Club sandwich and $12.99 for a Toasted Western! $3.19 for glass of fountain pop and $2.00 to add gravy. So for 3 people to come out for a SMALL lunch it was $68.00. I now understand why you don't show your pricing on your online menu. Will not return and will not be recommending this place to anyone.
Gloria clearly didn't want our business - giving a grumpy "greeting" to our family of 6 and objecting when I wanted menus for each of us to look at while we waited for a table. We took our business elsewhere.
Fast friendly service,
The prices have gone up a bit since they changed owners, but I still love the bread pudding!
Loved the food and options. Great for a vegetarian or vegan meal or just breakfast.
Excellent service and really great food. ????
Fast service and delicious! The veggie benedict has lots of flavour and fills you up. Home fries were seasoned already and very hot! They have decent covid precautions and dividers between all the booths.
An amazingly authentic Mexican food restaurant in Sudbury on of all places. The service was amazing and the food was superb!
Great vegan options and service
Bought a Coconut Cream pie recently and was really disappointed. These are not the same as before the new ownership took over. They used to be thick custard pudding with a nice graham cracker crust. Now, I found the crust stale and so thin ... practically non existent and the pudding less than a inch thick and hard. The whipped cream is not real but a bargain brand Cool Whip type. This was not what I expected from Gloria's Very very disappointing for a 17$ pie
Badfood.Philly Steak Sandwich was full of bristle. Portion size reduced and prices increased . Not recommended.
We have been going here for a long time. While the menu is decent, and the food is great, we find that the overall cost his risen significantly since it's change in ownership. The atmosphere is nice, with a simple decor making Gloria's a real home style diner. The wait staff were courteous and pleasant, and the service prompt.
Great family diner! My brother enlisted in the army and this was our place of choice for his last breakfast with us before leaving!
Busy place. We visited when it was busy so the cook may have been overwhelmed but, all the food needed a lot more seasoning. Eggs cooked perfectly but again lacked seasoning. May try again when the restaurant isn't so busy
Love the home cooked feel. Service is good, and coffee is always fresh. Parking is good, and location is sufficient.
Food is delicious, fairly priced, and the service is fast. I have had a few less than perfect meals though, which is why I'll leave this at 4 stars.
Well worth it. The food was good and the portions were huge. I too if that prices were cheap for what your get. Would highly recommend for a basic Breakfast
The server was nice, the price was right, and it was clean. I got an omelette with salsa inside which was tasty, though it didn't have very much filling.
Lots of variety, quick and great service. Prices were a tiny bit high, but nothing extreme and well worth it as the food is delicious. I ordered the 1/2 hamburger steak and the portion was way bigger than expected ????
We decided to go for brunch at Gloria’s and I was apprehensive at first as I’m gluten free and wasn’t sure if there would be much choice. I had a Denver omelette, with no toast and the home fries. It was delish and they also gave me some onions, which were amazing!!!!! Waitress was also super friendly. I would definitely recommend.
Take out was good and employees were very friendly :)
Friendly staff and delicious food!
Very good food, good service and value for money. Some vegan/vegetarian choices would be nice.
Basic diner with good food and service.
Not returning. Was seated in a back corner with a table that vibrated the entire time (assuming its next to the furnace or something), a 45min wait for our food when the restaurant was half full, only to find not 1, but 4 hairs in 2 of our meals. Waitress was polite enough and apologized by taking off my meal from the bill but until I see beard and hair nets, not returning.
Food was good. Large portions for the money. The service from Gale was amazing. The service was comparable to some of the higher end resturants in Sudbury.
I have been dining here for years, not overly regular, but from time to time, since I've always liked the diner experience.. And of course the food is good. But the prices have raised tremendously. Will find other options for when I get that diner kick.
Breakfast at Gloria's was very good and relaxing and service was excellent. Price, well it seemstobe always the same price weather its breakfast or supper.so figure on 20 bucks a person for any meal.
This place was absolutely heaving with diners on Saturday morning, which is always a great sign in a breakfast restaurant. We had steak and poached eggs. Service was super, we had a very polite and friendly waitress, fun surroundings and they were very snappy with coffee refills. Obviously Gloria’s is an institution in Sudbury, and deservedly so. The portion sizes are huge, there was a large selection of dishes on the menu (and about twenty possible sides) to choose from, and they will gladly customize your meal for your needs. My only downside was that the food takes a while to get (so don’t go there if you are in a hurry), and they undercooked my poached eggs a bit (but they were still good). I would definitely recommend this place for a really good breakfast.
I’ve been here 5 years ago and it was great. Came by on a long weekend and wasn’t the same. Won’t be back
One of the few things in Sudbury I'll miss. Great food, amazing staff. Even at their busiest you still get your meals fast.
Still one of Sudbury's best places for a classic breakfast.
Super friendly staff and very quick service. Food was delicious. Love the fruit presentation.
Not the quality it once was. Also much more expensive. Had a small poutine with a pop and piece of coconut cream pie for $25. Not a great deal?
Great place to eat, most meals were a little pricey, but didn't deserve a downgrade to a 4-star, my omelette was awesome, thanks!
First time ordering from here. I ordered an eggs Benedict, but when I got home and opened the box, there was no hollandaise sauce on my eggs Benedict. Hollandaise sauce is the main part of an eggs benedict. I was still charged regular price. Very disappointed, and I will not be returning to this establishment.
A great home made traditional food kinda place with hungry man breakfasts to coffee in a mug with home made cherry pie! A huge menu. Cozy atmosphere. Clean. Friendly staff. Fast service. Accessible. Large parking lot. Fair prices.
Awesome vegan menu full of comfort foods! So far I have really enjoyed everything I've ever tried here! The vegan breakfast skillet with extra cheeze is probably my favorite and my daughter loves the Mickey mouse pancake. The coffee is pretty good and the service is excellent. Nice and clean too, even in the ladies room. I haven't yet tried the vegan poutine because I keep going back to a few other favorites (samucha chat, breakfast skillet and French toast) but I hear it's delicious. Wish they delivered but maybe that's for the best in my case ???? they also have a variety of soups and desserts to go that all look very tempting. And I did order takeout breakfast for 7 people somewhat recently and they packaged it so well it was all still hot when we sat to eat it after a 15-20 minute drive.
Food was alright, service was okay. Was sitting with a table of 5 everyone's food came out but mine, waitress said it was coming right out but took about 10 minutes and no explanation. The rest of the table felt bad and awkward eating in front of me, but I didn't want their food to get cold! I'm really not one to complain but a simple explanation of "whoops kitchen broke your egg, going to make a new one!" would have sufficed. Instead I got my food when almost everyone was done and felt obligated to just scarf it down so no one was waiting instead of enjoying my food. Over all disappointed in the service and will probably just go somewhere else next time.
For regular breakfast (bacon, egg, home fries, toast, and coffee), this place is the best place in sudbury. Clean, good price, good portion. I heard the owner changed not long ago, but same menu and same staff. (They don’t have a convenience store anymore tho..).
I visited on Wednesday after my girlfriend's graduation with her family and had an amazing experience. Staff were friendly, and our server was incredibly kind and hilarious. As a vegan, good breakfast options are always hard to come by. I got the vegan breakfast skillet and my girlfriend got the vegan pancakes. Both were amazing. Her family quite enjoyed the regular menu as well. Definitely a crowd pleaser and a must go for vegans and vegetarians!
Incredible experience. The staff was fantastic. All meals were extremely delicious. All home made meals, done from scratch. ...Liver and onion... Highly recommend!
Excellent service and atmosphere. Great place to have breakfast with the family. We are new regulars!
More expensive than the food warrants. Up pricing on simple add ons. Friendly service but ultimately not worth the price. Oh and the coffee is terrible. If you're dinning establishment is going to stick a fork in your customer's gut over simple breakfast, you should at least be able to make a good cup of coffee.
Very good food, the establishment itself is old school, exactly the way it should be.
Love going here to have a light lunch or supper from time to time. Very disappointed to see their new hours only til 4 pm???? Most people do not even begin having suppers until 5 or 6. I am afraid that was not well thought and planned out. Just FYI Cora's and Tuiti Fruitis close at 3 and they are a breakfast and lunch only place.
Great food and service. Frozen entrees to go. Fresh baking including three kinds of buttertarts!
Liked this establishment. Found the food to be average. Service was good.
Food was ok. No substitution which they stick by. Didn't want potatoes have to pay extra to replace them.
I ordered a large chicken caesar salad, but when it came out it was a size of a small...and for $17.99. My sisters chicken fingers and fries was less the price and more of a portion! I feel ripped off. I used to love coming here....not any more!!
Love the vegan options. It's rare to find breakfast done so well. ♥️
Was seated n Waited for 12mins at the table no one came to tell us anything or help us. So we left. And it was not busy
Friendly staff, good food but it's usually pretty busy here and a little pricey
Always great for breakfast. Had dinner and discovered the half portion menu which comes with dessert. Mmm must try the bread pudding with warm caramel sauce
Great staff. Fast and friendly. Easy access and food was quite good.
If you're looking for food your Mom cooked, this is definitely the place. If you're going for breakfast, get there early. Even though service is really good, it gets busy real fast. They have East Indian specials occasionally which I haven't had a chance to try. I've heard there are new owners and it's taken a dip. was a good old mom and pop place...the prices have escalated under new management....the food is just OK.and should be superb like when mom used to cook it for us
Such wonderful food and so fresh. Great place all around.
Amazing as usual Enjoyed our food x3 & great service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Had breakfast on our way to up north. We had great service from staff and everything that we ordered was so fresh and nicely cooked. Spanish omlet was very nice. Portion of fresh fruit was very small. Wish I had few more bites of fruits with omlet. Highly recommended for morning breakfast. Restaurant is clean and staff is very kind and friendly.
Canadian skillet Unimpressive, needs a hollandaise sauce, service unimpressive
I go in and read the menu thinking I'll try something new because they have so many wonderful dishes, but I always end up back at the eggs benedict. Best I've ever had bar none! Love the staff and service, and hollandaise sauce!
Service was good, food was excellent. It fills up quickly on weekends, so go early before the bar crawlers are resurrected.
What a find on our roadtrip! Fantastic service and amazing food. Large vegan menu, too!
The best food and such a good atmosphere. Everything you need. Chefs make Everything with love and the servers are just delightful.
Great service, good serving size and very good value for the quality. Take the time to get a homemade dessert ( bring it home if not hungry) as they are totally worth it.
Wait staff members are exceptional. Food is great and they just renovated to make room for more tables! It's really the only good thing about Sudbury.
Great food and great staff. I highly recommend this establishment.
As a vegan I have plenty of options and the fresh food is a bonus
Good service, Nice Resturant. Would recommend and will go again if in the area. Very good!
Ouch!... cozy atmosphere, staff very friendly and quick, food was good BUT I had the hungry man breakfast at $15.99, I refused the “upgrade” to rye toast when offered but had accepted “coffee with your breakfast?” and “onions in your home fries?”. Food arrived very quickly but cold and the coffee and onions were ADD ONS to the bill for a $15.99 breakfast. Total cost for breakfast, $25... I won’t be back.
Great service, amazing quality
I love this place. Food's always great, awesome place to score some good all day breakfast! The staff has always been incredibly kind everytime I've been here, they really give it a home-like feel.
The dish size is generous. The menu has a lot of options. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly.
Worst breakfast I have ever had. The pancake were terrible the sausage had worst taste I have ever eaten. Coffee they didn't have any creamer
Amazing food and friendly staff. A++++++ 100% recommended, oh and they have the best pancakes in sudbury.
It was just ok, A party of 4 we waited 1/2 for bacon and eggs, eggs were a little cold and the toast was soggy, I thought it was pricy for what we got .
as advertised great been there done that all good
Gloria's is my neighbourhood restaurant. I've gone there a lot for many years. It's always great with excellent service.
Great family restaurant for breakfast! My favourite place for the best Eggs Benedict. Amazing hollandaise ever and they give a generous amount. Would be great if they had more eggs benny options.
I've been living in Sudbury for 15 years and I went to Florida's for the first time this past Thanksgiving weekend. Boy am I glad I went. Truly home cooked food and very personable wait staff who make you feel at ease and welcomed. I will be making this restaurant a regular stop for me from now on.
I don't know why this place doesn't have a ????????5???????? Star rating already! The beauty of this place is unique unlike anything else. The pleasantriest of the place DEFINITELY match up with the demeanor & dedication of the owner. Wether it's dining or routine morning coffee, it DOESN'T get any better than this place and it's service!
Prices have increased since I was there last tby quite a bit, used to be diner prices and amazing food, now prices are more like roadhouse prices (18$ for Burger and fries) and the food quality is less amazing than what I used to get here. Service is still great though, staff and so friendly!
The food was great, service was very pleasant, but it did feel like the food took a very long time to come out (almost 30 min), when the restaurant didn't seem crazy busy. It worked out, as we were not in any rush, and the place was quite pleasant to be hanging out in, but someone in a rush might not have felt the same
Food is freaken delicious. Staff is very friendly. I will come again on our next trip to Sudbury. And it's awesome that you can get breakfast all day.
Always great food and service. Everyone is always smiling and food is prompt and tasty.
Owner is Extremely Rude - Will NEVER eat there again. We use to eat there monthly, will not be returning. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant in my life.... Sorry we bought your food? won't happen again!!!
Good food and quick
Huge portions, great options for vegans and vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Very pleasant staff. Would go again.
Large menu and poor quality. Would not recommend.
Service was amazing! Had 2 eggs with peameal bacon!! Amazing breakfast!! Better than Cora's!! I'll be back!
Fantastic breakfast! The fresh fruit was delicious.
on my first day 2 workers walked out mid shift. worked here for 3 weeks and it was the worst job I have ever had. no respect was ever given, you are just a piece of meat to them. they will yell at you for doing the exact thing they yelled at you for not doing, they will yell at you for their mistakes, they will never be impressed no matter how hard you try. there's a reason they always have new workers and it's because they are impossible to please.
Amazing vegetarian and vegan breakfasts. We go as a family everytime my parents are in town.
I would give it a 5 ???????????????????? the best food
So dirty there. Should probably be shut down for a complete cleaning. Management is terrible and very rude. Would recommend staying far away from this place.
Good service, attentive staff, great breakfast menu which is available all day.
Fish and chips were great. The piece of fish was huge and done to perfection.
Wow! What a delightful find!! I was looking on Google for the best place to have breakfast and Gloria's came up first. What's not to love , breakfast all day, delicious food , coffee and friendly staff! Try the Cherry Belgium Waffles!
The food is excellent and the service is fast and friendly. They have enlarged the restaurant by taking out the convenience store and adding more tables. It really is the place to go if you have a large dinner party.
This restaurant had a very good reputation for decades. Since the new ownership, I’ve been there twice. First time was for fish (Used to be so good) but now the batter is soggy and very thick. I couldn’t eat it. Today was my second time. Although the waitress wrote down my order, I received a very different lunch. The portions were small and unappealing. Margarine instead of butter. The worse part is they would not let me explain and told me to leave because I was pointing out their mistake. I’m not impressed
Waited over an hour for a Spanish omelette all staff wear mask until they enter kitchen and down comes the masks
Good breakfast loved it, family friendly.
Great service and even better food!
Great food and great service! It was very comfortable and the staff very friendly. I lwuld definitely recommend this place.
We stopped there for lunch while travelling. It is a short drive from hwy 17. The grilled cheese with ham and cheese was great and so was the soup. Western sandwich also very good. The service from the young gentleman was great and he was polite and had a good sense of humour. Nice decor with local paintings on the wall. Highly recommend.
Fabulous breakfast, awesome service and a pie to go.
Best crepe I ever had!
New owners have doubled prices. Cost $100 for breakfast, 3 adults and a child, nothing special and the Greek hostess was not too pleasant. Bee going there for 40 yrs. It's sad it has gone.
Typical food of Sudbury, cheese, meat and fries. My other gets the eggs benedict and seems happy. I get the same thing every time, the chaat, so it does get a little boring with the limited vegan choices. They use to do a great thali and lentil soup and other foods, we use to come regularly, now not so much.
Friendly staff, quick service and a great meal
A GREAT place to have a delicious breakfast! The breakfast potatoes were honestly some of the best I have had and the person I was with got a side of fruit and HOLY MOLY usually you expect a tiny bowl of apples, oranges maybe some canteloupe but this had about 7 varieties of fruit and a GREAT portion of each. Price was on the higher end for a breakfast joint but its worth it for the great tasting food and friendly service. Will be coming back when Im in town!
Great breakfast, reasonably priced, and friendly staff!
Excellent food great price wonderful atmosphere friendly staff
Extremely over priced, Had the hungry man (was cold) 3 pieces of bacon a paper think piece of cheap processes ham with extra toast (cheap wonder bread) and a juice and it cost 25$ ???? won't ever go back.
This is a great family restaurant. They have something on their menu for every type of eater. I hadn't been here in many years since we lived out of town, but since we have been back in Sudbury, I was always intrigued by their 'Vegan option Wednesdays'. I am not vegan, but I do really enjoy good vegan cuisine. So we gave it a shot, and I was impressed! I had their Gobi Manchurian, and it was delicious! Not a fine dining restaurant, but this plate could have convinced me otherwise.
Had breakfast this morning. Tasty food and great service. Didn't have to wait too long.
Good breakfast menu...well presented !! Fast efficient service and the coffee is great. Most restaurants in Sudbury don't have good coffee, so that's a bonus !!
Good food a little x_pensive
Very expensive, extra charge for onions , pea meal bacon, toast and coffee. One breakfast with tip was almost $30.00. Food was cold as well
Great food and people here. I had the veggie Poutine with Hollandaise sauce, tasty and a big serving of it. The Poutine of fries is excellent also!
This is an excellent breakfast place in Sudbury. We get a lot of food for the money.
They tell you 30 minutes for pick up but if you eat in your served within 10 minutes and eating. All should be equal
Great food . Great service . And the best steak the BEST!!
Clean restaurant with friendly service. Came for breakfast. Was quite busy, but the food was served quickly, and while nothing extraordinary about the meal (regular breakfast fare), it was hot and portions were fine.
Good location and service. And great food with common sense prices . Thanks
Excellent food. Excellent and friendly staff. The small wait for a table was overlooked by the great service and coffee. Will return when back in town. Thanks.
Service was excellent but the food wasn't spectacular!
Great place for breakfast! Quick friendly service. Good vegetarian options.
Lovely veagan food and great service
Breakfast potatoes were undercooked, had to throw them away, waste of money, won't order again.
Good, basic restaurant with plain cooking. Excellent meatloaf on Wednesdays. Good value for the money. For less than $15, I had meatloaf with baked potato and green beans. Good, consistent quality and friendly service. Update September 2019: The restaurant is no longer open in the evenings (closes at 4pm), therefore, they have lost my business and I will no longer be their patron. I am only available for evening outings, so they will never see me at the restaurant ever again. Too bad, I really enjoyed their meatloaf and now I will never have a chance to eat it.
Some of the best breakfast u can get in our city. If u cant afford the prices at tuity fruity. Witch also makes a great breakfast.
Line up was short. Service was fantastic. Food was great.
Great food, staff were kind and accommodating, nice atmosphere
The most excellent brunch Ive had in a long time. Did not have to wait long, food tasted great and I was very pleased at the end of my meal. The Wifi was not working for me, & a waiter kindly reset the internet for me. Waiters and waitresses very curtious, polite and friendly.
Very expensive and not worth it at all! Our server was very friendly and good but $18.99 for a clubhouse sandwich is ridiculous...
Breakfast was a disappointing today. Every time I come back to Sudbury, I stop in to gloria's. For those who are not big on a ton of salt make sure you mention it to your server. Other than that it is a place i love to visit.
Best breakfast I've had yet! I was pleased and satisfied with the friendly and amazing staff! Loved the food and as a bonus it didn't take long for my food to arrive.
I really like this place. Servers are friendly and the dishes are delicious and homie. Great spot to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Will come back again.
Breakfast at Gloria's is the best in town. With friendly staff, clean restaurant and great food you'll look forward to getting up in the morning to eat at Gloria's
Good food, nice waitress.
Very nice staff. Food was excellent for a decent price. Highly recommend.
Food is still great but the portion size has been cut in half.
Best breakfast place in town. Never disappoints
Service was nice, but the food wasn’t great, prices are expensive. Two thumbs down????????????????
Gloria's was the first restaurant I ever visited in my life, and they have been serving consistently good food since then. Recently they have stepped up their game, and offer some Indian dishes. I ordered one and it was fantastic - on par with any Indian restaurant. This is THE place to go for casual dining in Sudbury.
Joey our server was very kind and even noticed when part of my meal was forgotten, even before I mentionned anything. Good prices and food was very good.
I will definitely be back. Great attention to details and everything seemed nice and fresh. My friend says her hollandaise was very bland and we all agreed that the homefries were underseasoned but i still liked it there.
I had the breakfast sandwiches with homefries, food was amazing and my server Holly gave the best service I've had there so far.
Love it!! The service is amazing ...the staff are all so dam nice:) well dressed and the place is so clean with really nice washrooms !!! The menu also suitable for vegans. If your a VEGAN and want yummy clean food then go to Glorias. The prices are about the same has Cora or tutti fruity but less loud and a far nicer looking place:) I will keep going back and highly recommend it!!! :)
Well thought we would give the new guys a try. Take the whole family out for breakfast like we used to do. What a MISTAKE. Service was terrible and waited forever to place our order. Got two clubhouse sandwiches and guess what. No real meat. Lunch meat. So for 18.99 you would expect real turkey and a mountain of fries. Not so. Few fries and of course no coleslaw. That was extra. Guess that would have made this crummy sandwich $24 bucks. Even if the new owner offered a free meal I wouldn’t accept it. I’m done with this place. Go up the road. Eddies uses real meat and their service is awesome. Not to mention Eddie personally goes table to table to say hi and ask about your experience. Miss the Michel’s.
Service and food were great. Food took along time should have.more people in the kitchen cooking
Good selection. Quick and friendly service. Had the breakfast and kept me going all day
Great local restaurant. Best place in town for breakfast.
The ultimate "greasy spoon" restaurant. With a history of serving tasty home-cooked they continue to maintain their reputation. Always good food and great service. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Very expensive for a greasy spoon! Wow! The food was nothing special & the service was slow. Not on my list of favourites in Sudbury.
We recently went vegan (for the animals mainly) and I never liked french toast but their vegan french toast was amazing! Our toddler ate it up too. We also got the vegan waffles with strawberries and cocowhip which was also amazing. They also have cashew milk for your coffee :) Happy to have more vegan options popping up everywhere ✌
This restaurant's customer traffic explains it all.. super busy place... friendly staff... and the food... Fresh, Delicious & Filling
Most of the time the food and service is great. Today my waitress is in a pissy mood. I still recommend this place. Lots of food and a great selection.
Not the same Gloria's since Annie Lennox and her crew disappeared. Under new ownership, but still the same menu, the food is not the same. The potatoes are no longer fried on griddle. Only deep fried. There was an odd taste with the potatoes, and the fried onions were bland. Eggs and sausage were status quo. Those potatoes and were fried onion the only thing setting this place apart from all the other breakfast places in the city in terms of food. End of an era I guess. Don't fix what doesn't need fixing.
Great breakfast. Fantastic service.
Classic old school diner and breakfast spot. I'm pretty sure Gloria herself served me at 7AM on opening. Coffee and water refills kept coming constantly. Seemed to be quite busy already at 8AM on a Tuesday. The serving sizes were huge. The food was pretty greasy but that's to be expected with the massive hungry man's breakfast. The pastries looked great but I didn't try any.
I love going to Gloria's, they have a vegan menu section and it is very good. When I want a vegan breakfast at the restaurant, Gloria's is the only place that pops in my mind. For the non-vegan, the food is also very good, they have a wonderful breakfast menu.
Always great breakfast never disappointed thanks ????
Love the variety of vegan dishes. Delicious and abundance of food.
Excellent service! The food was so good and fresh . We'll be back next time we're in Sudbury.
My favourite spot for breakfast. Great food and service. Can get busy but worth visiting. Peamal bacon and eggs is my pick. They now serve alcohol so even better.
My husband and I frequented Gloria's Restaurant on Monday, April 21st at approximately 10:45 a.m. to order breakfast. I hate to say this, but the breakfast was terrible. Eggs and coffee were fine. The toast was very soggy. The hash browns were no browner that this white page that I am typing on! It seems that the diced potatoes had just been dragged through the grease on the griddle or cooking surface in the grease that cooks everything else. Putrid All I tasted was grease. One bite was sufficient. The gentleman at the table beside us actually ate his but after every two or three mouthfuls he doused them with vinegar and salt! Oh yah, before I forget, the bacon was not very crisp and tasted of fish, of all things. Shame on you! We paid $21.00 including a tip. This is the first time we got burned at Gloria's. Do you have a new cook? Just what is the problem? If you have a cook who cares, have them bake the potatoes, dice potatoes with the skin on, then deep fry them to a nice brown crisp finish! That is how Arbys cooked theirs when they served breakfast......and, their breakfast was a hell of a lot cheaper. I will agree, where are they now? They don't serve breakfast any more. So, in closing, please get rid of that "Greasy Spoon" image and smarten up! Guylaine;s, here we come!
I am so disappointed. The food is just not good anymore and prices are way too high. I think people are still going out of habit.
Food very good and plenty in your plate. And friendly service.
Came here today and was asked to wait for an open booth with my family of 5 (3 children 2 adults). This makes sense due to the size of our party. There were a few couples which arrived after us which were seated first and my daughter stated that was unfair. I educated my daughter to the fact that it’s easier for a table of 2 to open up than it is for a booth to seat the 5 of us. Another couple came and were seated at a booth. Ten minutes passes and another booth opened up to seat us now. Quickly I looked at the other booths and seen that the sizing of all booths can fit us all. Therefore the previous couple who came in was indeed seated first for no reason. At this point our waitress was kind and taken our order. Several others were seated after us. It was after waiting approximately 25 minutes when I saw how others received their food first. Another 10 minutes passes and our food was presented to us. However, my girlfriends daughter, who had ordered a micky mouse pancake did not receive her food. Another 8 minutes passes and I see the table next to us (couple who was seated after us) receives their meal (included a pancake). Two more minutes passes and we finally receive micky mouse pancake, which was NOT shaped like micky mouse. I kindly asked if I could be educated on the priority of the kitchen and how the dishes were prioritized. Our waitress advised she just brings the food the kitchen makes and she’d get the owner. The owner came to my attention and asked how she could help. I again kindly asked if I could be educated on the priority. She then stated “can’t you see that we’re busy!?” And got very irritated with my question. She also stated “what’s your problem? You got your food!” I simply again stated, “no problem I was just asking a question”. She then stated that I was being unreasonable for asking. They’re busy and they are “Sudbury Best Restaurant” that’s why they’re so busy. I advised the table next to us arrived later and received their pancake first and that our kid had to watch us eat before she got her meal (I was raised that kids eat first mentality). She argued and said that this did not happen. She got irritated and asked the table next to us if they got their pancake first. They stated they did not know. I was shocked and asked if this is how she does business and that it’s unprofessional to disturb another customer with my issues. She got very mad at this and asked if I would like the $6 off my bill for the pancake. I said yes. She then left and shortly came back with a pancake in the shape of micky mouse (finally not just a blob… good job). When presenting this new pancake I did not ask for she said “see! Simple! Takes two minutes”. I’m not sure what the meaning of this was for.. besides proving my point that my gf daughter should not have waited 10 minutes after we received our food to get her pancake (which was made in a rush). Then my gf told the owner that the owner is making a scene and to please stop. The Owner ultimately stated “if you don’t like it you can leave”. I asked politely “are you kicking us out?” She stated “yes, you and your family can GET OUT”. I asked “so it’s free then?” She said “yes get out”. So shout out for the free food from the Hot Head Owner. I’ll gladly take my business to Gus’s Restaurant, a far friendlier Owner. If I had five thumbs I’d give this place five thumbs down. By the way I’ve been coming to this place since 2003 and the service today was just plain pathetic. Must be new ownership. And also FYI I was only looking for an apology with some kind of fake excuse. Make something up and apologies and give a small discount. That’s called customer service. You lost more money doing what you did and also looked like a real champ kicking out a family just asking for an explanation.
Fast service, good breakfast. A Sudbury landmark for a long as I can remember
