REVIEWS OF The Red Rabbit IN Stratford

House of Michelle

Very tasty food! I followed the suggestion to order the chicken and it was the best. Services are very good with high quality and fast delivery. Right now, fork & knife are put in plastic bag, even does the receipt. A good restaurant for everything!

Jackie Moore

My husband and I went for a special date night and The Red Rabbit delivered and then some. Everything was amazing - special shout out to the Kale Salad and the mac and cheese. The couple sitting beside us remarked about their meal 'the menu seems like many other places, but the food is not' and I very very much agree. The food was exciting and delicious. Our server was so friendly and we had a great night.

Alex Picchetti

We had the price fixe menu + drinks with the frisée salad, roasted asparagus, shrimp and grits, hangar steak, and I had the chocolate ganache and a Red Rabbit coffee. Everything was delicious, perfect portion sizes (filling, but not so heavy that we felt weighted down walking to the Festival Theatre after dinner), and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We only got in last-minute because of a cancellation, so if you're planning to try it out, do call ahead.

I have eaten here two or three times and loved it. Once I came with a vegetarian and we shared a number of items and it was very creative and delicious. The second time I came with my husband and we also loved it. I have tried to just "pop-in' and it's pretty busy, so I recommend a reservation. I did manage to sit at the bar one time without one, though. Our service has always been great. My favourite place to eat in Stratford, easily.

Vivek Kumar

I came here with my friend and really enjoyed all the food and dessert. This place is best enjoyed with a share all food approach ????

Crystal Sequeira

Perfect for pre theater dinner! Make resos cause this place gets busy. Everything from the starters to the desert was absolutely delicious. Walking distance from the Avon Theater. Can't reccomend it more.

BE Adventure Partners

We were soooo lucky to get in on NOSH Monday! Such a great idea to be served up small plates that the chefs produce special for the evening! I think we had 14 plates in all! Be sure to plan 2-3hrs if you get in for NOSH Monday because this dining experience is well worth the time for the experience. The food is amazing!! Our server was friendly & made us feel like family! Love the community vibe here! The Red Rabbit gets the BE Adventure Partners stamp of approval! We'll definitely BE back next time we're in Stratford!

I recently had dinner here with my Daughter and her partner, I was thoroughly impressed with the atmosphere, food quality, service and even their efficiency during a pandemic. I will be here many times again, this I am sure of!

Hrishikesh J C

I tried the falafal and veggie burger. Incredibly scrumptious! Loved it! They are also taking good care indoors during these uncertain times.

Mr. Lynch

Amazing Dining experience! Red Rabbit exceeded all our expectations based off of recommendations. The biscuits and cheese dip appetizer was delicious, only downside is the biscuits were tiny, but full of flavour. The southern fried chicken n waffles was the best fried chicken I have ever had, balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the waffle. The deconstructed Philly cheese steak was a really tasty special!

L. Buhr

Great food and excellent service. Nice atmosphere, clean washroom.

Andrea S.

This was one of the best steaks I have ever had in my life--one of the best cocktails as well. While not inexpensive, the meal was well worth it. The service was also excellent!

Went for the first time with my sister and bestfriend and loved the vibe. The staff was very friendly and didn't bother us too much but was around when we did need her. The food was great had the chicken and waffles - suited my taste buds. Would definitely return.

Andy Dabydeen

Food was excellent and different. Wonderful. It was also excellent to find out that the restaurant is owned by the staff.

Andrew Cunningham

The quality of food for the price is unmatched in Stratford. Smallish room but great service. Worth the wait.

This is a place I will return to over and over! My first visit and I'm so impressed. I ordered the Stratford smoked meat sandwich and it was divine ???? the meat was tender and really stacked high! The mustard was spicy and just enough to taste but not over power the meat. Crispy fries are my favorite and these did not disappoint. The only minor disappointment was the dill on the side was so small! In the scheme of things, it wasn't a big deal. I will be back to try everything else on the menu.

Jeremy Malloy

Nice atmosphere for lunch. Excellent food and local black swan on tap. Fried chicken and waffles is made wonderful with hot carrot sauce. The proper breakfast is served with the best baked beans I've ever had.

prathyusha reddy

The best food ever. The burgers are so yumm!!! They are so innovative on their desserts that we are amazed everytime we come here. A definitely must try place if you are around.

Kaitlyn Kochany

Another five star review to join the stacks they've already earned! Casual but terrific service, top-shelf menu items and local ingredients, and a desert menu that is fit for angels. Order them all. (Seriously.) A local standout and worth trying to get into on your trip / special date / just-because meal out.

J.B Moffatt

Always excellent food here. The cooks are exquisite and the service always has a wonderful little quark to it. Love to support this local group of restaurant owners in Stratford. Would ALWAYS reccomend!

Jeremy Gauthier

I'm down with reviewers E & J Green. A great space, fun attitude, funky music, service efficient and very friendly (yet not overly familiar), and it's part of a growing trend of worker-owned, community anchored, locally sourced establishments. And that Chicken & Waffles, Oboy! I ordered the brisket, also very fine, and shared my girlfriend's chicken...and then shared a little more...and vowed to order it myself next time. Can't go wrong (good drinks menu too)!

My wife took me to the Red Rabbit for my birthday. The restaurant has a very interesting concept. They come up with a new theme every month and for December it was “Nosh”. That’s what we got, and it was fantastic. We had no clue what nosh was about. Some research into the meaning taught us that is stands snacking, nibbling or sampling. So in great anticipation, we were told that they had random, shareable plates of food coming, for us to try and explore. You could call these plates “tapas” but that would be reaching a little too short. The flavors and styles were from all over the world, Asian, Italian, Mexican and good old Canadian. The dishes were not heavy on the meat, most of them were vegetarian but that was perfectly fine for us. Spicy, tangy, nutty, sweet and sour, it was all there. When you are full, you just call the plates off and it switches over to the deserts. We had a nice bottle of wine to go with the meal. Service was great, and it sure was an experience out of the ordinary. We certainly will be back to nosh a little more.

Alissa Occhiogrosso

Always a favourite spot of mine and my husband’s when visiting Stratford. The ever-changing menu as well as use of local and fresh resources is impressive. The servers are very knowledgeable and attentive to their patrons. By far my favourite and the best spot in Stratford!

Matthew Patten

Great restaurant and very friendly staff. The food was amazing and the drinks were even better.

Attitude Agape

They made a very nice kebab that is worth a try. The cocktail list definitely has enough on it to keep you satisfied.

Tatiana Baulina

The atmosphere was wonderful. The decor was stylish. The service was exceptionally pleasant and friendly. However, the dish didn't meet even my avarege expectations. I've ordered "A Proper Breakfast with greens instead of fries and extra egg instead of pork. The dish was served in a skillet. It didn't look appetizing to begin with. It tasted just like it looked. The eggs were close to floating in some sort of grease, slightly over-cooked. The beans were too sweet. The toast was greasy. The bread used for toast was dense and heavy. The greens were too sour. My daughter ordered tacos... Well... Similar story. My husband though did enjoy the smoked meat sandwich. When I think back about the eggs... Remove oil, it would taste fresh, I think. I know the restaurant claims to create the dishes from local fresh ingredients. I absolutely trust it does. However, it didn't taste pure and fresh. Bottom line: chef's creations didn't meet my taste buds on a happy note. We wouldn't be back.

Ben Wong

The smaller lunch menu is very good as they produce quality dishes. Sous vide for the burger and the smoked meat sandwich. The Mac and cheese came al dente. Quality lunch experience.

Vivienne Monty

Glad to see all the stellar reviews for a local place but that was not our experience. Went there on the recommendation of a friend. Staff were very nice but they found it hard to accommodate a food allergy. Only a couple of things on the menu I could have. I had those but both were so "hot" (spicy) that I almost choked and I'm used to spicy food. Made me think that the chef was making up for my allergy by spicing everything up with hot chili peppers. Also, the food was not extraordinary at all. My friend, who chose off the regular menu thought it was one of the poorest meals she had. Both of us paid a king's ransom for a totally non-special meal. Too many flavours mixed up all together, too tart, too spicy making up for a lack of imagination.

Scott Jones

Very nice decor and bar inside. Food is locally sourced and flavorful with unique combinations. For me, the three dishes I had didn't really work, although others might feel differently. They cater to the pre theatre crowd and are able to price highly because of that.

Nick Wade

As a Texan I Rarely order a bbq anywhere outside of home but I have to say the Stratford smoked meat was superb I have never had brisket done this way and I glad I didn’t miss out on this amazing meal The staff was also very friendly and gave excellent recommendations Smoked with local applewood

RED RABBIT was the highlight of our visit to Stratford. Our chicken salad was the best ever, all incredible fresh varied veggies ohh la la the radishes!!! To die for Vegie burger, moist flavourful and scrumptious. Topped with a fresh …

Doodpowamon

Laughably disinterested service combined with a veggie burger so deeply emanating salt I could taste the ocean is not a good look. The carnivorous options, while not as bad, are overpriced for both portions and quality, so I can't really recommend the place. Quick take- There are better options for cheaper.

Stu Hall (BritHikesOntario)

Great, friendly service. Our server was prompt, knowing we had a theatre performance to get to. Food was excellent. I'd say my fried chicken larb was a little salty, but not to the point i coildnt enjoy it. Everything else was delicious. The duck curry was really excellent. Selection of different types of beer for a variety of tastes

Jacqueline Smith

Great space, fast service, friendly atmosphere. Love the fried chicken and waffles and Dr. Everitt's Peculiar Elixer's. My 8yr old son loved the Soda so much, he asked if he could take the bottle to finish it and was told yes. Yet, as we …

This restaurant has ruined me for future restaurants, because after dining here, everything else will pale in comparison! The food was creatively presented, with an unusual and surprisingly excellent blend of perfect spicing and wonderful textures. I would say the Red Rabbit was a most delicious food adventure for my palate!

Michael Inman

Came in on a Friday around 7, no reservations, luckily got a table for 2. The atmosphere and food spoke to Southern US influence. Ordered the octopus, escarole salad with pimento cheese, grits, and hanger steak. Everything was delicious, and I thought the portion sizes and prices were decent for the quality. Service was casual and decent (although a little slow, but understandable on a busy Friday). Home made donut solidfied the five star rating.

Carrie Olsen

This restaurant is amazing. The decor is very cute but classy, the service is fantastic; helpful, polite and on top of everything. The food is incredibly.... Fresh, local and prepared perfectly. Absolutely recommend!!!!

Alex Mow

No wonder why they are the number one restaurant on Trip Advisor. Both food quality and customer service are world class. Once you come to this restaurant, there is almost no where else you could go in Canada.

Kevin Swayze

Worth the drive to Stratford any day -- but make sure to call first for a reservation. Menu always changing, with intriguing, flavourful and interesting food. Staff are entertaining and patient in explaining what's on offer. Highly recommended.

We went to The Red Rabbit for lunch on May 20, 2017. The staff are warm and inviting. The ambience is very good: plenty of warm, incandescent lighting, ample space between tables, high and open ceilings, and just the right volume on the backdrop music. We had the M Burger and the Brisket. The burger was very good as presented by the chef without any changes. I would have preferred just a touch of coleslaw on the side, or perhaps some vegetables, just to add some colour to the plate but overall, as is, it is a good option. The real steal was the Brisket sandwich. The perfectly cooked beef melted in the mouth and the sauce and egg were excellent touches on an already excellent open faced delight. Simply outstanding. We will be back.

Joshua MacAulay

Visited The Red Rabbit recently. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. The staff did an excellent job enforcing COVID-19 Health protection measures and did an excellent job with food and wine pairings. They also support local farmers which is a nice touch. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Stratford area and will come back the next time we are in the area.

Grant Seifred

Wonderful for meals before and after a play. Reservations are always a good idea even for lunch. Most of the staff are owner's, which is an interesting model for a restaurant, but that would explain the quality of the service and meals.

K. W.

My meal here was so good that I seriously considered going back to every other five-star Google restaurant review I had written and marking each one down to a four instead, before giving The Red Rabbit a five. It was at least a star above the best food I'd ever eaten. I didn't end up doing that because it seemed unfair to the other restaurants. Anyway, the food here is really incredible. I'd highly recommend it.

Lavarnan Sivanathan

Excellent food and service. The pork dish was amazing. Service was great

Karim Rushdy

The chicken and waffles was insanely good. Go with a friend, have them order the spicy chicken sandwich and replace one of your waffle chickens with their spicier version for a special spicy treat that is now also sweet. Wow. Service was fantastic. Coffee from Revel Café puts it over the top!

Joel Middel

My wife and I enjoyed every bite at this great restaurant. As a buisness owner myself I always appreciate it when the owner is involved with his/her business. The service was spot on and it was a busy night. We had the chowder to start and honestly both me and my wife thought it was going to steal the show because it might have been the best soup we have ever had... then my curry duck entree showed up and it was the most satisfying meal I have had in a long time. We will be returning. Thank you!! I could eat that soup by the gallon. It was like a smoked fish chowder with awesome in it.

Ben V

The Red Rabbit is my new favourite restaurant in Stratford. Their staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was incredible. I had the fried chicken, and it was probably one of best fried chickens I’ve ever had. It was moist, flavourful and satisfying, not to mention the waffle, which was soft and complimented the chicken well. Can’t wait to go back.

Coral Courtney

This is trendy and designed with foodies in mind. The food is very tasty and came promptly. The plates where reasonable size so that someone could actually eat the whole dinner. A nice selection of wine, cocktails and mocktails where on …

We went to one of the last NOSH Mondays. Although we ate until uncomfortably full it was only because of the food was so very delicious that we could not stop. The servers and chefs do amazing work and are knowledgeable and put up with us being a bit crazy and coming up with not fancy names for each dishes

Shaheer mahmood

Had brunch there on Sunday. We ordered a burger and chicken and Waffles. The burger was not very tastey and so was the chicken and waffles. They said they had maple syrup on it so i thought it would have a sweet touch to it, but it didn't. I have personally had much better Chicken and Waffles in Toronto Downtown. The service was not bad, but the food was a disappointment considering the good reviews for this place. Their dessert menu is quite small as well so we didn't order anything from the dessert.

Ira Kates

Had a lovely meal here during a busy Saturday night. We weren't able to get reservations but managed a walk in. I had one piece of hot chicken and one piece of regular chicken along with one of the best Mac and cheeses I have had. The desert was the only thing I could leave behind. A deconstructed cheesecake mess. I had an awesome refreshing drink before. Lemonade made with coconut water. It was perfect as I was dehydrated!

Pam Dickinson

Went here for the first time, last night with trip advisor recommendation. They did not steer my niece and I wrong. Impeccable, friendly service with amazing food that stirred the taste buds. For first course, my niece had the fried green tomatoes and loved the rich flavours. I had the green beans and potato concoction. It was mouth watering with a lovely tangy sauce. We marvelled at the menu selection which included influences from the Caribbean, South Korea, American South (oh my, the biscuits), Thailand and Japan. For our second we had the Branzino fish with veggies, in a lovely curry sauce. It was exquisite. We topped it off with desserts of chocolate truffle and Chicago style ice cream that had cheddar cheese in it. They make it on site. I especially adored the story of how Red Rabbit got its name, which you really need to hear from the maitre d, as he is a great story teller. The story involves the Red Rabbit ownership being owned by nine people, including some of the chefs and service staff. I love the cooperative atmosphere. The whole place exuded a wonderful vibe, which made it clear that people were creating and serving food, and doing a job they absolutely love. Thank you to all the staff that brought together one of the best meals I have eaten.

Maximilian Specht

One of Stratford's finest restaurants. The staff are friendly and attentive, the ambience is welcoming, and the food is superb. It's a popular spot, though, so know what you're getting into if you just walk past and say "let's try in here."

Marietta Snetsinger

We had an amazing dinner- the ribs were amazing! Other table mates had the fried chicken and loved it! The pickled veg and pimento cheese & biscuits was awesome. And service- absolutely perfect! A must visit in Stratford!

Henny Tse

Excellent service even though we were there after their serving time for lunch. The home made ketchup was amazing with their fries and the fried chicken with waffles were also awesome! Take their advice and have at least two pieces! Edit: i live quite far away but was in stratford to get married. Had lunch again here afterwards, it was amazing. :)

Ryan Hesse

You know the movie "Seven"? How at the first crime scene the detectives find a morbidly obese man sitting in a chair at the kitchen table face down in a plate of spaghetti? That's how we felt after finishing our NOSH dinner tonight... (In the best way possible) The food was phenomenal and all the staff were knowledgeable and super friendly. The experience lived upto expectations and we will for sure be back again!! I won't tell you anything about the food cuz that's the friggen point! Get your glutinous buns over to Red Rabbit for a Nosh dinner!

Dwight Egerter

The big salad was fabulous! Cauliflower Tacos are delicious too!

Chris Toplack

The Red Rabbit is located in the downtown core of Stratford and they pride themselves on using ingredients from local farmers and producers. At first glance upon arrival, it’s a very lovely and cozy atmosphere supported by personable and helpful staff. It’s evident they care about what they do. All menu items are served A La Carte so you are encouraged to order a few dishes eat to share with each other. Pros: * The fried chicken is completely unique and unlike anything I have ever consumed. Amazing! * Mac and Cheese was incredibly flavourful without drowning in a pool of sauce * An excellent drink menu full of local beers and well crafted cocktails * Top notch service Cons: * A little pricey, but quite honestly, it’s worth every penny. Overall, The Red Rabbit offers foodies a unique experience that certainly lives up to the local acclaim.

Ina Toso

Amazing food at a great price and style. The local farm-to-table food was so good we had to make a second trip to sample desserts. The drink menu was extensive. The bartender and staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Neil Moser

Blown away by the delicious and substantial vegetarian options. I enjoy meat, but chose all veg dishes because they sounded amazing - and they were. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, the Caesars were so very yummy and the dessert was the perfect ending, not rich, just the right amount of sweetness.

Patrick Ranville

The food was amazing. I went there for dinner and it was so good that I went back the next day for lunch before heading back home to the States.

Rebecca J

The spicy chicken sandwich was awesome! The ice tea was good but I got simple syrup with it to make it sweet. Very tasty! Great service as well! :)

Shireen Sasani

Oh my, this place is exquisite! Both the food and service are excellent. Big shoutout to Heather, our server, who was funny and an absolute delight. 10/10 would recommend.

Mike Rumble

We chose this place based on a recommendation from a friend who serves at another Stratford restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service was top notch, friendly and engaging. The food was excellent and prices are great. We enjoyed a local craft brew and unique twist on the Ceasar from the bar and some fun and tasty desserts.

Jan Dotzert

Can't believe we haven't been able to find the time to try this local eatery before now...been meaning to since their opening. So glad we did as every morsel from entree, dessert & signature drinks were amazingly put together in presentation and pleasing one's palate. Definitely, without a doubt, calls for return visits!

Andy Klepack

The best food we had in Stratford. Delicious and inventive. Know for their chicken and waffles, which is especially good. Their "big green salad" was loaded with super fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked eggs, and flavorful roast chicken. It was more tasty than just the sum of it's parts. Make your reservations ahead of time. This is a popular spot and fills up before the theater shows.

Daniel Casciato

Great atmosphere. There only 2 good craft beer menus in town and this is one of them. The taps and lines are clean and first rate. The food menu is awesome. Food is not old folks nor hipster. Items are familiar but kind kicked up a notch. Always 2 or 3 offerings which are a culinary stretch for the average palate. Chat with Adam and he will guide you through a pleasant experience.

Thip Davis

Incredible food and service. My husband and I went there to celebrate our 15th years anniversary with our friends. Glad that i made reservation in advance. All four of us loved our food, from pork ribs, mushroom poutine, duck confit, burger and squash soup. Thanks Jessie

Chris Gervais

The Red Rabbit is truly spectacular. My fiance and I have gotten their 'chef's choice' three course meal twice now, and each time our mind's have been blown. Not only were they right on time with their delivery but the food and drinks were second to none. I would recommend this place to anyone who is ready to enjoy one of the best meals of their life.

Joel Anderson

Had lunch mid-week and it was fantastic! I had the M Burger, and really wished that I had room for two of them it was so good. I didn't get a beer, but saw they had a great selection of local craft beers, which is a nice touch. My friends have raved about this place for so long and I'm glad that I finally got a chance to try it. Can't wait to come back.

Paul Andrusiak

Really stellar food. Local beers on tap and nice staff. Family and I trek to Stratford looking forward to our meal here. They have really great chicken (sandwich or chicken and waffles). We make sure to stop here every time we visit Stratford. We have always gone for lunch but they likely have great dinner options as well.

Chris Brook

We have been going to Red Rabbit regularly now for some time and have never been disappointed yet! The food is always incredible and the staff are amazing. I cannot recommend them enough!

Brad MacLellan

First time in tonight, won't be our last! Dan was a fantastic server, super entertaining and a great guide in our gastronomic adventure. We did the spicey and regular fried chicken, mac n cheese and the shawarma fries. All killer. And finished it with the chocolate ganache. Boom goes the dynamite.

J.R. Grassby

Beautiful decor, great friendly service and an excellent menu! We went for lunch on a week day and the place was packed! We waited no time for our lunch. I had the delicious “Big” salad. Full of delicious, fresh ingredients. My girlfriend friend had Cauliflower Tacos. They were incredible!! Definitely check this restaurant out!

Kaleda Connell

The food and the service here are try something- they make you feel like you are having such a great time and are home - all at the same time! Very impressed with everything and felt very safe during covid. Keep up the great work team!

Douglas Tindal

Arrived 15 minutes early for a reservation. Our table was clean and unoccupied. The manager said we were too early and should go for a walk. Downhill from there. Warm martinis, indifferent service. We ordered a round of small plates and said we'd probably order more, but when we tried to do so it turned out the kitchen had closed without warning. The food was mostly good (some items too salty) which saves it from a one-star review, but we will not be back.

Laura Skells

Everything was delicious! We had the honey mustard roasted Brussels sprouts and the falafel entree, with the s'mores pudding for dessert. They know food and how to make it delicious. Highly recommend.

Bill Mustard

Lunch today was excellent. My meat burger was cooked to perfection "sous vide" and my wife's very burger was the best she remembers. Fresh raspberry sorbet and a ginger cookie finished our meal. Wine by the glass or carafe or bottle with good choice. Quite a variety of mixed drinks were also on the menu. Lots of beers. Service was attentive and friendly. I left happy.

Alicia Chin

I drive out to Stratford every year for this restaurant. When I lived there, I went every Monday. Staff is friendly and fun and their food is always high quality and absolutely delicious!

Sarah Hohner

I enjoyed the vegetarian burger and the fries were great. The other people I was with loved the chicken and waffles, in particular. Service was a little slow but, all in all, we had a great time.

Chris and Monica

We stopped by The Red Rabbit before an evening play at Stratford Festival. The concept of the restaurant is right up our alley, with a farm-to-table mandate, local drink menu, and amusing Red Rabbit art motifs lurking amidst the decor. Food looked great and service was prompt and friendly. One thing: the flavours were sometimes a bit heavy-handed (I felt the salad was too acidic, personally) but that might not be a problem for everyone. This restaurant is definitely worth a second look, and we will return.

Chris Howe

This had been my first time at a restaurant since before covid hit, I have never been to red rabbit before, so my first thought was how is this going to be. Considering the world affect covid has had on us, and I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service we received and the covid protocols red rabbit had in place is outstanding. Now on to the good stuff service was amazing but the food was out of this world good I highly recommend the fish with they’re Brussel sprouts. 5 stars all the way. I will be back

Brian deBoer

Amazing experience, from the cheerful staff to the amazing stories and history. The food was amazing. Try their spicy chicken. The Brussels were beyond amazing and the bar tender has concocted some great drink.

andrea paleczny

Trying too hard! Huge curtains at enterance are tacky. It's okay for a small town restaurant. Waiter was pretentious. Ordered the beet salad, It was...average. Hamburger was...decent..probably the best part of this over priced meal. Sweet potato casserole was vomit worthy. I've been to my share of amazing restaurants and this one was a waste of time. Walked down the street for wings after our "meal".

Darren Constable

Can't imagine how you could fail to love the Red Rabbit. Staff are friendly, food is varied, local, and cooked to perfection. The fried chicken is AMAZING. Actually, i've been there half a dozen times now and keep coming away more impressed. Plus they have Black Swan on tap (local brewery, excellent products) as well as a good selection of Single malts and bourbons. Make a reservation early as it packs out fast!

Joe G

Friendly, witty place - And the food is terrific too. All local ingredients & interesting dishes. The servings are hearty. You should be aware that they have a limited menu (about 5 entrees at a time) but each item is intriguing. The steak was delicious & incredibly tender while the curry duck was just spicy enough. The fish chowder was especially good.

Samantha Martin

Amazing food! We had the Philly Cheese Steak and the Nashville Hot Chicken. BEST fried chicken we’ve ever had ????

Eric Ouellette

This place is amazing. We've been each time we've been to Stratford. The spicy chicken is our favourite. The staff is always friendly. Try the desserts as well. We had the cheddar cheese ice cream and it was amazing. MAKE A RESERVATION. They're crazy busy and not a big place. I'd suggest going for lunch. A fraction of the cost and still great food.

Erica S

Went here for lunch and there was a good selection of food. Reasonable prices as well. The food was delicious! Staff were friendly and didn't make you feel out of place. …

Katherine Walker

Best chicken and steak I have ever tasted. Awesome atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful when making menu choices. Loved the meal and the drinks, the dessert was amazing as well. Will definitely go back for a special occasion dinner.

debbie mulligan

Food and service all excellent. We had the smoked meat sandwich (cut in house), fresh cut shoestring fries with house made garlic aoli....it was all delicious. Will definitely return when back in the area.

TopSchu

We ordered delivery - the boiled peanuts, za’atar fries, jerk cauliflower, colonel Collins chicken, Nashville hot chicken and s’mores pudding. All of the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chicken was crispy and juicy. We also ordered a couple of cocktails that were quite tasty! Would highly recommend and will definitely be ordering again. Thank you!

Sashah Rahemtulla

This place looks lovely and had great reviews so I wanted to check it out while in town on business. Unfortunately the staff, with the exception of the wonderful bartender were quite rude. I was ignored when I came in for lunch, even though it was obvious two staff had seen me enter and waited to be acknowledged at the door for too long. It was busy in there so I got tired of waiting or being acknowledged so I seated myself at the bar. The food was delicious and the bartender was exceptional in terms of customer service and made up for the start. The other staff however basically ignored me, even as I was exiting the restaurant one staff member made eye contact with me but did not even reply to my “thank you”, let alone thanking me for coming in or wish me a good afternoon. Not a great way to make guests feel welcome. Hopefully it was just a busy day and this isn’t normal.

Oliver Dobbs

Wonderful restaurant touting sous vide burgers and cheddar cheese ice cream on an eclectic and unique menu. Fried chicken and waffles, house-infused vodkas, a highly curated cocktail program make this place worth going back to again and again. 6 stars.

Briar McBoyle

Everything the 4 of us ate was absolutely fantastic, some really creative dishes. Great staff, very helpful, and attentive. Incredible vegetarian options!!!!

Stacie Dunlop

After some trouble getting in for dinner the owner was kind enough to accommodate a reservation for us as noted below. The server was very polite and helpful. The restaurant was laid out well and had an excellent vibe. I had the cod and my husband had the steak. Both our dishes were very good and everything was fresh, seasonally appropriate and visually appealing. They offered to cover the food portion of the bill for the trouble with the reservation, but we were happy to pay as the meal was good and everything met our expectations. Thank you.

Nadine Eby

Very innovative menu with delicious appetizers and main courses. I was glad to find some vegetarian options among the appetizers. Decadent desserts to choose from, made in house. Excellent service and casual ambiance.Price point was high for a 2 course meal pre theatre, but flavours were amazing.

Kiera Malishewski

So good! I wish I had a picture to post, but I was to busy eating the delicious food. The atmosphere is cozy and the service was excellent. If you are looking for some good food that's different than your average burger or pizza, eat at the Red Rabbit :)

Beautiful little restaurant with a creative menu that packs a punch. Their signature chicken and waffles did not disappoint and the veggie burger was one of the best I've had. We finished the evening with the Chicago ice cream (cheddar cheese ice cream with caramel sauce and popcorn). Be aware that that place is very busy, especially before shows so be sure to make a reservation and don't plan to spend very long in the restaurant since their turnaround is quite quick to compensate for the volume.

Our third time at the restaurant. Love the attitude, ambiance, staff and of course the food! Menu changes all the time, everything is great. Love the 'family style' plating which at the moment due to COVID is not happening, but that won't affect your experience. Everything is nice and clean.

We came here for a meal after our matinee saw the menu in the window and it looked good. Came in to a packed house and ordered drinks only to find out that we could only order off the 5-7 price fixe menu making each meal $60. Yikes! Food was good quality but heavily salted. Also had to wait a long time for appetizers and then wait a VERY long time between for the mains. Overall food is solid but slow service and menuing issues.

My favorite shop to get quirky, locally made gifts and items. From art to t-shirts, pillows or even jewellry and mugs.

Great place to eat in Stratford. Friendly service with excellent tasting food.

I don't know what restaurant the previous reviewer went to but the Red Rabbit is simply spectacular. The place was jammed full even at 1030 at night. Our meal was New York worthy and our server, Adam, was at the top end of any server we have ever experienced and we travel the world eating. the fried chicken alone is worth the price of admission and the mushrooms in miso butter Crazy Great. If you know great food this is definitely the place for you!!!

I had received a recommendation to try out this restaurant by a work colleague so when I had family visit London from the Niagara region, I took a chance to drive to Stratford based on his great review. I was a bit apprehensive about the Route 64 menu as the food items were well outside of things I was familiar with. All of us were pleasantly surprised and it was by far one best dining experiences all four of us have had. Dan was phenomenal at taking us through the menu and making suggestions that were bang on for the appetizers and the main course. The food was nothing short of exceptional and it was very apparent that the staff take great pride in every aspect of the food and even the drinks. Between the four of us we tried a variety of the courses and each was prepared and plated beautifully. Flavour and seasoning were spot on and each of us left feeling that is was the best meal and dining experience any of us could remember. Go in with an open mind and let the fantastic staff guide you through the available food and drinks and you will not be disappointed.

Delightful dining spot. The menu offers variety and presentation is top notch. The cinnamon babka french toast is out of this world. The hours are a little confusing the kitchen is closed 2:30-5 but with the service and food it still gets top marks.

We have been there 3 times. Twice at lunch, once at dinner. Excellent food and service. Very creative use of locally available fruits, vegetables and meats. Local craft beers. Good choices for house wines.

Billy Peterson

The food was great, the menu was limited. It's very nice inside. -Photo was shot on Note 10 Plus.

Ordered spicy chicken, hamburger, ribs and curry gravy fries. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Served a local "red" beer that was fabulous. We will definitely return again!

Derek Kelly

I love to order The M Burger and Fries, I also LOVE to order The Fried Chicken and Waffles! I LOVE The Fried Chicken and Waffles! Its heaven. I also love the 9th Ward Cocktail

This was our second visit to The Red Rabbit and it continues to exceed our expectations. The food is expertly crafted and of the four dishes we ordered every one was perfection. The service staff made excellent recommendations and was both attentive and polite. I would recommend a later dinner time during festival season so you can avoid the theatre rush.

Had the most fantastic dinner at Red Rabbit. The food was delicious! Service was exceptional. Can't wait to return!

Pat ODonnell

Good service and nice quick lunch, I had the smoked meat on rye and my wife had the mac and cheese. Both meals were full of flavor and were plated with care. Very enjoyable atmosphere we will return.

This was my boyfriend and I's first time at the Red Rabbit and we already cannot wait to return! From the unique cocktail and drink selections, to the warm and cozy ambiance, the welcoming and personable service, and outstanding food, every part of our experience was absolutely exceptional. We enjoyed every dish we tried from this months German menu and the stories about the food our server Dan shared with us. It's very obvious this restaurant has an incredibly talented and passionate team. We'll definitely drive the 3 hours to visit again!

What a great place! Food looked and tasted amazing! Service was excellent, friendly but was very comfortable and assuring. We are pretty anxious about all the Covid stuff and this was our first dinner since it started and they handled it great. Metal utensils came covered in plastic, and the servers were very disciplined in keeping masks on, hands sanitized and gloves when needed. The food very delicious and made with lots of local ingredients. It was our 11th Anniversary dinner and we were happy with spent it at the Red Rabbit!

Franco De Marco

The menu had some great options, which made it difficult to chose what to have. Everyone enjoyed their meals very much and were very pleased. Service was outstanding. Looking forward to returning.

Absolutely a fantastic experience food was amazing love the ever changing menu

An awesome place to celebrate! Celebrate an anniversary, a wedding, a birthday, a Friday, celebrate anything you want!

Coming from Toronto, we had no idea where to eat. So many choices. The Red Rabbit looked interesting, we walked and were not disappointed. Food was great, service was good.

Jim Wilson

This place was awesome. Dan was a great server. Food was amazing. We forgot to take pictures of it, sorry Google. Amazing flavours. Really terrific. Unfortunately, the much your couple beside us was having quite a tiff and we should have moved tables. The poor fellow being berated by his lady companion is hopefully running for the hills. A completely memorable evening.

I am from Toronto and come to Stratford quite often for work. My coworkers and I have tried probably most of the restaurants here and Red Rabbit is hands down our favourite spot. They always have something new to try on their menu and we had enjoyed our meals everytime. Kudos to the entire team for coming up with a fantastic restaurant with great people and amazing food. Red Rabbit will be a place we will always be stopping by everytime we are in town!

Ross Bode

Great place for a very nice lunch meal, had chicken and waffles and cauliflower tacos, Apple rubarb pie and rubarb cheese cake excellent favours, Waiter Shane was very friendly and helpful with the meal. Restaurant is very elegant and clean .

Cheryl Webb

We ordered takeout -- fried chicken, house smoked bacon, hasselback beets and jerk cauliflower. Everything was so delicious! Including the Ninth Ward cocktails we ordered.

Andy McKay

Unbelievable in all aspects! Fantastic service and award worthy food! Google should add a sixth star just for Red Rabbit. Love this place and will definitely return!

Laurie Vandenhoff

The best! We made it out for one of the last mimosa brunches of the season! So glad we did. The Red Rabbit is our favourite restaurant. If you can get a table here you won't be disappointed!

Cathy Mitchell

We went on a Sunday for lunch and it was delightful. Great ambience and we could hear ourselves talk! Good quanity of food, menu has a good selection and service was excellent. Ginger cookie dessert was out of this world. We will visit again.

Simon Foxall

I have eaten around the world and haven't found much that I don't like. I have been spoiled by my wife's amazing cooking for 37yrs. My option from my full and very satisfied belly on the red rabbit is. Go!

William Routledge

This maybe Stratford’s best dining experience. We began with Heather as our server. She is an exceptionally warm and passionate lady. Heather is the type of person who makes lemonade out of lemons. But at this restaurant she doesn’t work with lemons. The food is world class and the kitchen people perform at a big league level. The owners of this establishment are wise enough to realize that their patrons won’t settle for fountain club soda. So they serve premium bottled club soda. They also serve locally distilled in Stratford Junction 56 vodka. Why pay for premium vodka when local distilled is just as good at a substantially different price. Experienced the best vodka & club soda in Stratford. The Red Rabbit’s menu is very limited. The prices are not the lowest in town. But the quality of the meals are outstanding. This is an outstanding dinning experience. We will be returning and will be requesting to sit at Heather’s table.

Update - multiple visits since arrived - worth the fifth star! The Red Rabbit was one of the places that sustained us while we unpacked after our arrival in Stratford 18 months ago. It was surprise to find dishes that were new, great value and service, and very reasonable prices. It was a great welcome to our new home town.

A truly charming evening. We really enjoyed the makeshift patio and the previously forbidden fruit of the in-person dining experience. The owners/wait staff are exuberantly helpful and clearly happy to be doing what they do so well. The themed dinner 'Asian Night Market' was interesting, tasty and ambitious and close enough to authentic to satisfy 2 diners with more than 30 years in the Asia Pacific region between them. A minor miss was an impossibly undercooked rice dish, which was more than adequately compensated for by an inventive cocktail menu.

Raymond Singer

Went here for dinner the food is quite tasty and service was awesome. ordered 4 dishes 2 drinks and 1 dessert and bill for two people was over 100$. Reason for 4 star and not 5 is the price, was 14$ for a few pieces of asparagus was a bit pricey in my opinion

Elaine Cabildo

We made reservations for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The food was delicious, as were the drinks and the place itself was very welcoming and quaint. I ordered the chicken and waffles as a main and the pumpkin pie for dessert. Both were filling and exceptionally tasty. The food is a bit expensive if you order a drink with your meal then dessert but fairly priced for what you get. Highly reccommend stopping by if you’re in Stratford.

William Bisson

First, the restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was casual and relaxed. The staff were careful and respectful under the current circumstances. Very comfortable spacing of guests. This was reassuring. The food was absolutely amazing! I could hardly wait to say that! We had the watermelon feta salad and fried green tomatoes for a starter and were not disappointed. There was ample food for the two of us to share both dishes and the mix of flavors was perfect. Wouldn't have expected it to be so good. We both went for the fried chicken and it was melt in your mouth. There was some heat but it was more taste the heat than feel the heat. simply delicious. The Coconut Mojito was a favorite for the lady and I had the white Russian. They are artists when it comes to making drinks.Great food, great service and the host was very attentive though not in your face. Made you feel welcome and wanted. I will be going back. 5 stars plus!

Owen Webb

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. We appreciate the restaurant taking Covid measures seriously. Our appetizer, meal, and dessert were all excellent. Likewise, we appreciated the hospitality of those serving us. We'll be back.

Bethany Musselman

Great chicken and waffles. I suggest going for Sunday brunch (during off season) and get all you can drink mimosas and lunch for $40. Such a blast and the staff are wonderful!

J Rossiter

The staff is amazing, the environment is clean, but on top of all of this, the Red Rabbit has the BEST Spicy Chicken sandwich I have ever sink my teeth in. The sandwich had the perfect blend of spiciness and homemade sauces and flavours. For all you epicureans out there, this restaurant is a must!

Jonathan Parish

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great staff.

An employee owned and operated restaurant dedicated to serving fresh healthy food sourced, whenever possible, from local farms. Try the boneless fried chicken with waffles and real maple syrup. If you have room for dessert, order the raspberry pie. It's delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is friendly and efficient.

Rebecca Northan

WOW, wow, wow! Jesse (owner) and her Team (co-owners) are impeccable! Very cool vibe, fun staff, and fantastic food - not to mention a wonderful community presence. Will keep going back & trying out new menu items in the coming months.

volodymyr savchuk

Just finished dinner and must admit food was awesome. We had Caesar salad (wow, delicious), m burger (delicious) and bacon foie gras (not really- i was told its actually a pork pate). Drinks were tasty but nothing outstanding (in my opinion). Overall I would recommend this restaurant.
