First time ordering from this restaurant. Order got delivered to our house and my wife wouldn't even eat her egg Benedict it looked so bad. Called them back and the staff is very nice and they did send another to our house but it was still probably the worst food I've had in awhile. Definitely won't order again.

The restaurant was nearly full, yet the food was prepared carefully and to individual specifications. And we didn't wait long for the food and service. I would eat there again for sure. Excellent diner in the Stratford area, offering all the usual and all-day breakfast. Their standing menu is great, plus they have pretty great daily specials. I go for their pies -- I've seen up to 8 varieties on offer, with new ones pushed out throughout the day as they sell out. A highlight of every Stratford visit, for sure.

Joe's was exactly what I was looking for late one night. I had wandered the town forever before a play, everywhere I went either closed or packed beyond belief. I had asked for my food to go and they were happy to oblige. The food was nothing special and very greasy, but you expect that from a homestyle diner like this one. The highlight was the staff- they were very friendly and welcoming! It seemed like there were many locals in the place and everyone was chatty. Next time I'm in Stratford I'd love to go back.

Place was filthy, table was dirty and sticky service was slow and incompetent food was half rotten and meat was turning green and taste like dog food. Owner did not even consider replacing our meal when they took our plates full of meat that was not edible! She tried making us play full price and when I told her my concerns she gave every excuse to avoid the issue. Most pathetic customer service I have experienced!!!

The best sandwiches in town. The staff is very welcoming. The food is so tasty with fast service. The price is reasonable. Everything you should expect from a diner. We ordered the classic triple decker club and Sunday's special BELT (bacon egg lettuce tomatos). Both are made of fresh materials and served nicely. The dessert, chocolate peanut butter pie, is full of flavor and tastes perfectly balanced. Everyone should try Joe's Diner.

I loved my experience here on the 18th. Loved that it wasn't overloaded with decor like some places are - I like that it was really simple. The service was super fast and the food was absolutely delicious with large portion sizes, which usually I wouldn't care for, but the food was so good that I didn't mind it at all. Our waitress was also super kind and very friendly. Just loved how it felt very local and very real. Would definitely come back again.

Went to Joe's Diner after a long drive to Stratford. When I enter the door, a super nice and welcoming old man (probably Joe) lead me to my seats. Waitress is very nice and welcoming (who also happens to be gorgeous ????, I promised I'm not being biased here????) handed me the menus.Ordered the BELT ( bacon eggs lettuce tomato) and Triple Decker Club. Food served pretty quickly. The sandwiches taste amazing. Everything just felt homemade and welcoming. The desert was Peanut butter chocolate pie. I was expecting a tiny slice because it was $3 but the waitress handed me this massive chunk. Don't get me wrong, the pie tasted godly, not too sweet like most pies, and you could tell it was homemade, not those frozen pies served by most diners. They also had free coffee refills, so that was nice. Overall, very impressed by Joe's Diner, a big thumbs up for Joe's Diner. I would recommend anyone passing by Stratford to visit Joe's Diner. I know I already said this but a BIG thumbs up for Joe's Diner! Sorry for the long post, you won't be disappointed at Joe's.

My fiance and I both thoroughly enjoyed the food. My only issue with this place is the waitresses were not very tentative. I had to go find someone to get a drink refill. Only reason they didn't get 5 stats, but it's a great place. Restaurant was also kept clean, would recommend.

The last time I was there I opted for their breakfast special. I must say everything except the bacon was good. The bacon came out rather burnt. I like crispy bacon, but not blackened. Service was fast and the waitress was very polite. This place is a mix between being a 50's style diner and a country home style kitchen. However an absolute must try if your visiting the Stratford area. Or even if your a local and looking for a place to eat at that's reasonably priced then I would definitely recommend you give this diner a try at least once. Who knows you may just go back for seconds.

I go to Stratford to see the plays at least once a summer, sometimes twice. The temptation is to eat at one of the big corporate restaurants where the food is mass produced and nothing special. But, may I suggest you eat at Joe's Diner instead? Only go there if you like excellent home cooked food, great service and a friendly atmosphere. I was there this past weekend and had to have dinner there twice rather than eat anywhere else! The homemade pies were to die for! The turkey dinner was real comfort food.. Everyone in our group had nothing but good things to say about our dinners. I prefer to give my business to a local family rather than a corporation , anyway. You won't be sorry.

Ordered two breakfasts for pick up, they were pretty unimpressive. They didn’t come with any condiments on the side (no little pod of butter or maple syrup). One dry pancake and two nondressed fresh toasts for 20 bucks was disappointing.

Skip the line-ups at the core downtown places and go to Joe's for breakfast. We were a party of 10 on a busy Sunday morning and they were extremely accommodating and patient. Food was tasty, standard diner fare. Perfect for the morning after a late night.

We went to Stratford for a performance at the Avon theatre and needed something to eat prior to the show. I googled and read the reviews and all I have to say is i would have given this place more than 5 stars!!! It was packed when we got in but waited only 15 for the 4 of us to be seated. Service was friendly, food was your typical awesome diner food that people try to copy but cant get it right! Well Joe's Diner gets it right! And honeslty the price was really good considering the amount of food you get. Love the fact they are family owned and hope others will support them. Dont let the old fashioned diner sign outside fool you, the interior is sparking clean, modern and retro!!!

Food was excellent, as was the service. The turkey dinner was real turkey and dressing with great gravy. The clubhouse with fries was solid diner fare and our teenage boys loved the big all day breakfast for supper. And they have old fashioned whipped fluffy cherry cheesecake! All in for 4 people with dessert (but only water to drink) and tip it was 60 bucks. We will be back!

Thank you to Google Review for the recommendation of Joe's Diner. Our family of 4 completely enjoyed our home cooked meals and desserts, especially the chocolate peanut butter cream pie... super yum! My 8 year old loved the gum ball machine and Joe himself even helped him find a second gum ball to make him even more delighted with his dinner! "Hey! Are you Joe?" he asked. "Yup, that's me." The two became fast friends and have set up a deal to work together in the future... so cute! Thank you for having us at your truly "family" diner.

The last two times I have been there the service was pathetic, the servers are cordial and nice but the underside of our dishes were dirty and this last time today there was cross contamination of peanut butter in our club sandwich. When we complained the waitress went to the owner and he came to our table basically calling us liars. No compensation was made in either situation, we will not be giving them another chance. Update: the owner has contacted me personally and an appology has been accepted. I am happy at the quick response and his acknowledgement of the issues and his desire to make things right.

I eat here all the time. I prefer a diner for its decor and its fare. Joe's is on top of this list for me. I don't believe there is a bad item on the menu. Even though I don't like liver my mom tells me there's is really good. I would rather go to Joe's than just about anywhere no matter what time of day. Great for breakfast , lunch or supper and it doesn't matter what time of day it is I can decide which one of those I want. Staff is friendly and service is both quick and quality. As a bonus it doesn't hit your wallet very hard either!!!

This speedy diner offers standard diner fare, but an spectacular prices with speedy service and a clean, well-kept ambiance. It is a favourite of the locals, and of those staying at the Stratford Hotel (where vouchers can be purchased for a discounted breakfast if you are a guest). Joe seems like quite a character and puts a smile on the faces of the young and old (he was joking with a 96 year old on her birthday, and a 1 year old who was eyeing up some homefries while we were there).
