I've always enjoyed the food at the Aulac Big Stop. The food is good and the portions are fair. Staff are courteous and helpful, I've had very few issues and if there has been an issue with my order it's been corrected to my satisfaction. Would recommend if you're looking for a good breakfast or a decent burger.

Wait staff are great, the food has continued to go down hill since the new building. That 13 dollar burger and cup of fries, could have been made by any 12 yr old on his mom's frying pan. No taste to the beef, it was dry and small portion of soggy fries. That's 3 strikes. Will try again next year maybe.

I ordered the turkey dinner. The carrots were overcooked canned, the 'scoops' of dressing, mashed potatoes and mystery slop were barely distinguishable from each other. The turkey itself was dry. They also forgot the cranberry sauce. The only good item was the roll.

It's a pretty simple highway side stop. I wasn't expecting a lot of vegetarian options and I didn't find many so I ordered breakfast. Then I discovered they do actually have a veggie burger but it too late. The omelet was fine.

Staff was nice. Turnover is pretty quick. Deserts are really good. Food is what you'd expect from an Irving truckstop diner, and meals often come out with cold home fries / French fries and we found out if you don't like how running your eggs are, they throw the plate in the microwave and send it back out to you.

Wrong tea was given to me couldn't find waitress to correct had to flag down someone else's. Then meals came out home fries were cold again couldn't find our waitress . Another service noticed me looking, he came over we told him the problem, he was more than happy to correct this. However when I tried my omelet it was also cold , the Male server came back with our home fries and I told him again he was awesome to get a new one for me . During the whole time we did not see our server until it was time to pay...... very poor service by her!!!!! But EXCELLENT service by the Male server. We made sure he got the tip

The family had stopped in after meeting other family members in the bubble. The service was great. The food not so much. I had gotten the big breakfast and so did the wife. My pan fries were under cooked and my eggs had a wierd taste and smell to them. The wifes got my order of extra pan fries and end up finding a hair in them. The son ordered fries and gravy, and a Ceasars salad. His gravy was grainy like it wasnt mixed properly and he wasn't a fan of the in house mayo base Ceasar dressing. The waitress was very helpful as was her manager who insisted we not pay as we barely touched anything. They offered us free desserts but we are not the type to take advantage. Service was awesome, just not the food.

I ordered a veggie and cheese omelette, they scrambled and cooked the eggs very thin and over cooked , then put cooked veggies in the middle with very little cheese then folded the egg. Egg was tough. I would not order this again. And when I asked server he said that is the way they are cooked. First disappointing meal I have had. They did respond with a discount and the server offered to get another meal.

Great place to stop for food when travelling between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. My partner and I both got scallops and fries. The scallops were slightly over cooked, fries were great, the roll was amazing and still warm. I also had a vanilla milkshake which was really thick and delicious. Bathrooms were clean and smelled good.

Great place for a quick bite or a long lunch. Lots of parking and clean washrooms. It was busy but seating was speedy. The food is delicious! The soup of the day was Chicken vegetable and had lots of both. The roll was large as was the bowl. The senior's turkey dinner was not skimpy! Even some left to take home. Staff was attentive and friendly.

From what I could see there was 2 to 3 servers and the restaurant was maybe half full. Waited 15 minutes for a table, multiple customers left waiting in line ahead of me. One customer told me on his way out that he waited 10 minutes for a waiter to take his order after being seated before he left. After hearing this I also left, which is too bad cause the food is usually quite good!

The restaurant is conveniently located close to the highway, good for travelers who don't want to go off route to get something to eat. The food was good, and restaurant was clean. Even though the restaurant was crowded, they were prompt to take my order, and I didn't have to wait long for them to serve my food. The only problem I had was the price. I had the double burger and onion rings, no drink, and it cost $20.00 with a $2 tip. Kinda expensive if you ask me.

Well, other than the auto flushing toilets eating my car keys, it's actually a decent spot. Food is solid, very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend. Just don't accidentally drop your keys in the toilet. That auto flush is hardcore.

Stopped in after crossing from Nova Scotiaf breakfast, waited to be seated then twenty minutes to be served coffee and have my order taken, thirty five minutes later my eggs and bacon had yet to show up and we were out of time after having been stopped for an hour. At least they didn't charge me for the coffee.

This place is always busy! People are coming and going and it seems to flow pretty good I must say. Food is good here, on par with other big stops. They also have motorcycle parking! Only thing that I dislike is for such a huge facility they only have 2 toilets in the men’s washroom.

Crowded on a sunday morning, but the counter was quick for this trucker, servers were fast and friendly. Could use more than one washer/dryer . TV room for drivers was great , comfortable and lots of channel choices. Everything was clean and well kept up.

We stopped there for breakfast and it was delicious. Now it's 3 years later.. Sept 2020... Stopped for breakfast again.. Waitress was wonderful. We didn't enjoy the breakfast so much this time. Coffee was great. Today is nice and thick and very good. We found the hash browns tasteless... We love them and they are usually or favorite part of breakfast... We left half behind. They are bland at best. Eggs were great! Bacon was hard to chew. We're not complainers and when we love a meal we share those as well. As I said the waitress was great but the food not so great!!

I've stopped here multiple times, both when just passing through on travels and other times when staying in the area. There's something for everybody on the menu, the prices are right, and the proportions are generous and filling. Loved the turkey pot pie and poutine! Alongside good food for a good price, the service is always friendly and fantastic.

A great stop when traveling. They have changed the menu so that all Big Stops are the same but dropped some off the reasons we went there. They no longer have healthy choices. We traveled North America and Big Stopped use to be the best. In my opinion not any more. Salisbury use to be our favorite as they were the best. So mangement decided not to make any of them accommodating. Just little things like no becel margarine or any margarine and we are dairy free just to name one of them. Another choice if the old homestyle fresh potatoes served with breakfast...now they are all deep fried..not a healthy choice. Took away other other options on food choices. Staff are always nice so they are what I like about Big Stop now. Use to be a 5 star with me and I planned my trip around them. Now I plan other stops. very disappointing.

We love this place every time we come here. The old-fashioned style of restaurant still exists here. The homestyle cooked meals are wonderful, and the portions are very large. We could probably order one meal and share it, they are so huge. They do have a senior’s menu though and sometimes we use that. Or order the appetizers. They serve great turkey dinners, hot sandwiches and great breakfasts. This time we ordered the hot turkey dinner, and the Thai chicken bites.

Terrible slow service, not a warm and comfortable place to eat unlike the salisbury or Enfield locations. This is the first time i have seen Irving screw up a new build. The previous restaurant on the same location was much better in so many ways. What a shame, i have eaten there numerous times since the reopening hoping for better results and have been disappointed everytime for one reason or another.

Big Stops are clean, this one no exception. We were disappointed in the food tho, closer to warm than hot and had to wait a while. Service was a B-. Having said that, maybe just a bad day, will eat here again.

They have washrooms and food. It's a place to stop if you need to, but the food was not good. One person in our group of 4 didn't get their eggs with their breakfast order and the server apologized and said the reason was that the kitchen was really busy. They didn't offer to bring the eggs, and they charged us for the full breakfast. Was weird.

I was disappointed in the service. First off they did not ask if I was a professional driver as I was in plain clothes, the next lady came along and they gave her the 50% discount for being a professional driver. I asked the waitress about the discount and she said well your in plain clothes and I can't give you a refund as the discount is posted on the fuel island, (MY HUSBAND DOES THE FUELING) but whatever, That's fine! They did not mention the discount to me at all. Next, the wait time was 20 minutes and the waitress made my milkshakes 10 minutes into the wait (by the time I got back to my truck they were melted, The poutine was cold and the cheese had already hardened and the burger was cold!). And last but not least, the waitress brought out my food as well as the customer after me and Proceeded to bag her food first. (She was there 10 minutes!!) Not very happy one bit! I told the waitress to bag my food first as I have been waiting longer. Disappointed.

Service staff is perfect, extremely busy on the weekends so expect to stand in line for a table unless you are willing to grab takeout and go. Food can be hit or miss, last time we were here one of our party got a charred hamburger, this time alfredo that wasn't edible. To the poor servers credit, she didn't charge us for the food that only had one bite out of it and apologized.

Fantastic server named Kathy E. took care of our group. Quick as can be, friendly and had a good sense of humour. Food was great as well, generous portions and prices are pretty reasonable given the area. Just be prepared for a massive dessert if you get cake or pie (great quality!)

Our favorite stopping place between NS and PEI! The wait staff there are SO FRIENDLY! We always end up leaving with full bellies, smiles, and sore cheeks from laughing and joking with the staff (who are really good at dealing with our silliness!) An outlet at the table, quick seating, serving, breakfast baloney is better than the sausages. Potatoes on the grill need ketchup. I'll try deep fried next time. You can see through the bacon. Good ham with thick cut toast and jam puree.

Stopped here cod a sleep and a shower. Very quiet with lots of truck parking. The showers are huge - very clean and towels (1 body, 1 floor mat and 1 wash cloth) are provided. Again, very spacious and clean. The store is neat clean and organized. Great selection of liquor/wine/beer. Restaurant opens at 0600hrs. Will definitely be on my map as one of the better places to stop while travelling the coast. Thank you!

Big stop restaurants are a welcome sight after being on the road and only seeing burger joint after burger joint, it might not be Michelin star, but it is a good meal. Also a pro tip if you're hungover is to have the hungry man poutine with extra extra fried onions

Seated at a table marked clean which had a big glob of something gross on it. Had to ask to have the table recleaned. Chicken Alfredo had so much pepper in it it was over powering. The Alfredo sauce was not creamy but thin as water. Would not recommend this place at all.

Crammed 5 people plus a baby into a booth and refused to place a seat at the end of the booth. Claimed it was a fire hazard, but there was a large open space next to the booth so it wasn’t. Barely any tables that sit more than four, so they shouldn’t be refusing to add a chair to the end of the booths instead of expecting people to wait an hour for a large table with three groups ahead of them. I understand having policy you have to follow but this is ridiculous. Will not be coming back here just to get crammed into a booth. No thanks 0 stars ????

Not only is the food great, but it is one of the few restaurants I feel safe bringing my daughter to. She has severe allergies and they have gone above and beyond to ensure her food is prepared properly. Great service!
