Barrel used to be very good 10 years ago but now the food seems very outdated and tasteless decor needs to be updated. The restaurant is clean inside which is a plus. Staff is semi friendly. Food comes out quick which leads me to believe that a lot of it is not fresh but frozen then microwaved.

I came for an early dinner and ordered spaghetti and meatballs with the Italian sausage ball appetizer, the service was very friendly and food was delicious and ready super fast.(for a dine in restaurant) the prices are a bit steeper than most restaurants styled this way but well worth the extra penny. I do recommend trying the barrel at least once if your in the Simcoe area.

We go at least 4 times a year... Food is great and staff are super friendly! Always clean and food is always hot. Not a value price but the portion sizes are huge and you have enough for a second meal or very large snack. When in Simcoe definitely a must try!

Good Italian restaurant, family owned. Always packed, always busy. Not everything from menu was excellent, my favorite calamari was just ok, but it is not an Italian specialties. Ravioli, soup and staffed mushrooms were good.

I thought The Barrel was great!! I had a hard time picking from the menu because I wanted to try so many things. Prices are about $15-25 for an entrée which is fair and the food was really good!! Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. The servers were all very friendly. Food was served quickly. I will be coming back to try some more stuff!

Its one of the best if not the best restaurant already in Simcoe. The portions are generous. The food is cook beautifully. It's delicious.The owners are hands -on with their business. They're accomodating. This place is always filled with diners and all seems to have big smiles when they leave. The food is worth every penny from the appetizers to the dessert and most especially the main dishes. It's a must visit when your hungry.

We have been to the Barrel Restaurant many times & have always had great service and the food has always been wonderful. It has been a long time due to Covid but we went this wk with 2 of our grandchildren. The service was wonderful as usual but both my husband & I were disappointed in our meals. My husband ordered the Sausage Penne. He asked the waitress if they could make it spicy somehow. She said that the sausage was spicy. This wasn't the case. He was very disappointed, said it was very bland. I ordered the Chicken Parm, which is my all time favourite at most places I go. I was very disappointed in it. The chicken was very thin and chewy, I have had much better Chicken Parm there & other restaurants. We also felt that the Children's Meals were very pricy. Our 3 yr old grandson had Spaghetti, which was $8.00, it included a drink but that was it. $8.00 for a small bowl of spagetti? Our 5 yr grandson ordered the Chicken Fingers & Fries, which were $9.00, again seems expensive for fries & fingers, the fries were also overdone, so he didn't eat them. Most restaurants also include a dessert for a Kid's Meal. The desserts were $4.00, which were sundaes & milk shakes. We were very disappointed, especially because it has been so long since we have been out to dinner. We felt that it was an expensive meal considering what we had,. Not sure when or if we will return.

Loved it! I’ve only gotten takeout once (so far) but I’d definitely love to come back again. Portions, quality, price, and taste were all great. I’ll have to try dining inside one time to see how it goes, but by the looks of it inside seemed like a fun place to eat with a family.

We were pleasantly surprised! Went here on Tuesday night, new in town and the family was hungry. We were getting a bit annoyed, as they sat us down with menus, but no one came to help us for a long time. We flagged down a waitress and asked if someone could please take our order. The waitress that came to help.us was very apologetic for keeping us waiting. She was great and took our order. Food came out and was delicious. Had something wrong with the appetizer, pointed it out and the waitress took it to her manager. The appetizer was taken off the bill, again the right action was taken. Great waitress, great manager. We ordered a meatball sandwich ( daughter loved it), a Fobrizio pizza (son enjoyed it), chicken Milano ( husband devoured) and chicken tetrazzini ( sooo good)!!!! This is a place we will come back to again and again whenever we are out this way. Thank you!

Recently ordered a greek salad w/ chicken for pick up/take out. Picked up the order in great time, however when I got home and opened up the order little did I know there was only a chicken breast in the container. When I called to explain the issue, it was agreed a mistake had been made and another salad would be delivered to the house. Except for that to happen I was going to have to foot the bill for the $20 delivery charge to Port Dover. It was ended with the next time I go to the barrel I get a complimentary salad "on the house" which doesnt make sense... as I have already paid for it. I very much hope I am in the minority of these incidents and would not recommend anyone to dine here.

A group of 5 of us visited for lunch on a Saturday. Table service by Michelle was awesome, she was attentive to everything in a very timely manner. The food was excellent from all perspectives, the appetizers to the entres. All the food was served hot and not one person in our party had any issues with what they received. It was an enjoyable outing for 5 friends who had the opportunity to get together. The Barrel made the outing a most memorable one. Special thanks to Michelle and all the other staff for being part of our day! Kudos or shall I say, Grazie!!

In terms of food and service this is a solid 4 star restaurant. To start, the GF and I shared the mussels. We had 1 mussel that didn't open but other then that no complaints. For my main I had the lasagne which comes with a soup or salad; I had the soup du jour which was delightful. The lasagna was good but not exceptional and not a huge serving for your $20+ (even with the accompanying side). GF had a creole seafood pasta and side salad. She suggested it was enjoyable but nothing to write home about. Would consider returning on my next visit to Simcoe.

Was for business in Simcoe, triggered by all positive reviews a went there on a Sunday evening. Surprised that it was not that crowded as expected. Had a crazy Ceasar salad, best one in ages. For pizza i took the house recommend one, size only 4 slices but make me fill completely. Taste was awesome good. Good atmosphere, the waitresses obviously do like their job. Highly recommended!!

My expectations were very high for this restaurant as I have been told it is one of the best in Simcoe. My expectations were met and I enjoyed the meal thoroughly. The pasta was not over or undercooked, the seafood was not rubbery, everything was hot and Ashley, our server, was a very polite and attentive person. Not once did I run out a drink and she made sure everything got to us in a timely manner. Easily one of the best places to go for a good food and service experience. I will definitely be asking for Ashley when making my next reservation. The only down side I felt, was the cake. A tad too rich for my liking, but with so many more options available to order, I will try another!

Our lunch group orders weekly from locally, owned and operated businesses. 2 Thursdays ago we chose the Barrel Restaurant. You can't go wrong with ordering here. 5 of us were available for lunch. The sandwiches are HUGE and the salads fresh. One of us chose to have their sandwiches without the bun and said it was delicious! Very accommodating. Love the cesar salad and personal pizza. Just the right amount. Delivery driver was very friendly as well. Thanks Barrel!!

Service was good but not perfect. Ordered appetizer never arrived. Moonstone soup was good but not spectacular. Daily soup (cream of cauliflower) was very good. Spaghetti and meatballs wss quite good. Chicken Thai pasta was excellent. Both dishes reheated well as leftovers. Portion sizes were generous and overall meal was a good value. We would stop again if in Simcoe area around a meal time.

Hi The Barrel is a regular place to visit. We did take out on Sunday and food was just as delicious. We drove from Brantford (about 45 minutes away) picked up our food and drive back to feed the family. So yummy. Thank you so much for being open during this difficult time. kudos to your team.

We arrived at this busy restaurant and we were seated pretty quickly at a little booth that just fits two people. In my opinion it's too small. Unfortunately for us we were rather close to the entrance and it was like Grand Central Station, so many people went by us, it was extremely disruptive and noisy. We had mussels as an appetizer and a Mediterranean pizza for the main course. The food was fair in quality. The service was adequate. I don't think we will be returning.

So I’m going to chime in here, I have had mixed interactions with different staff, some great some idiots.. sorry but not sorry. My big beef is ordering pizza!!! Tastes awesome, but usually under topped with toppings for the $$$$$ you put our for the pie! That being said, Barrel we are paying good money for that pizza put the toppings on that money deserves thank you!

I love this place. This was the first time i visited with my boyfriend and dined inside the restaurant. The decor is homey, simple, and provides a quaint, casual / business casual environment that offers everything from regular fries to more upscale dishes. Pictured below A warm Irish coffee A New Limberg craft beer (light, refreshing) 1st course 1. Minestrone Soup. beautifully done, lots of fresh ingredients and the soup seasoning is perfect 2. My date had mushroom soup. Creamy, flavourful, rich blend Appetizers 1. Portebello mushroom caps stuffed with cheese, they were beefy mushrooms, seasoned well, not overly salty and absolutely delicious. 2. Arinchini risotto that was deep fried into a ball, dipped in home made marinara sauce. This place really knows their sauces, and the cooks do a superb job. 2nd course 1. I had vegetarian Mediterranean Pasta with tons of soft veggies, artichokes, cooked into a beautiful sauce that amplified the veggie flavours. The pasta was cooked well, not over done or under done at all and seasonings are light, but brightened the dish. 2. my date had Seafood Creole which he really enjoyed. Great flavours, big portion size, sauce was potent and seasoned well, sea food was fresh, cooked perfectly. The wait staff were pleasant, kind, friendly and we were seated quickly. We went on Friday aftenoon around 4pm. This was a great experience and this place has become one of our most favourite places in Simcoe. 10/10

Always a great restaurant for Italian food and some Greek dishes. I've been there many, many times and never been disappointed. Sometimes a quick lunch menu during lunch while working, or a place to visit for our Anniversary. They have always been very involved in the community, donating pizza to schools for a variety of charity projects. My only issue is with the noise during peak hours. U should reserve during peak times as it is a very popular restaurant in this area. Oh, and the desserts r fabulous. And yes, its licensed. Donna Dempsey

Good food but I wouldn't say it was "authentic". It tasted pretty basic to be honest, but good-ish. The calamari was flavourful but chewy, one of the soups was decent but nothing to write home about and the shrimp/scallop pasta was pretty tasty! I would say that there is WAY TOO MANY OPTIONS ON THE MENU! Makes it so hard to choose and also makes me think they they could really perfect a smaller amount of dishes instead of having so many mediocre ones. It kind of reminded me of a place that needed to be on a "save my restaurant" kind of show. Needs a makeover and a new, more simple menu.

I don't even know where to start here. The restaurant makes you feel loved and welcomed. The quality of ingredients top shelf. There is no substitute. They use fresh quality ingredients and the food tastes like grandma made it. Lets discuss the crust. I have never before ordered a pizza solely for its crust. I got just pepperoni and cheese so I can enjoy this magnificent crust. If they sold just the crust with some of their pasta sauce as dip I would be in carb heaven. Value. This price point on this place is higher and it's WORTH EVERY PENNY. You pay for top shelf pizza here. You pay for top shelf everything here. There wasn't a single dish that wasn't made with the same love and quality(but I am trying to solely focus on just the pizza here). Whether its family dinner, date night, special occasion or just a random Tuesday and you want the best slice of pizza you're ever going to have. You will not be disappointed. Now if you excuse me I have to eat my way through their entire menu. I want to try everything once for research purposes....lol

This was the best food my wife and I have ever had! We both tried to think of a better meal we may have had elsewhere but came up empty. From the amazing fresh buns, soup, Perch Meal, and Chicken Masala to the deserts everything was amazing!! Our server (we wish we could remember her name) was amazing and friendly. My partner and I knew that it would be 4 weeks until we could DINE IN again, so because it was our birthdays in April, we decided to do an early celebration at the Barrel. I ordered the day's special which was linguine, mushrooms, shrimp, in a cream sauce which was delicious. My husband also ordered a shrimp pasta dish, but slightly different. We each had one cocktail and salads, plus shared a delicious tiramisu dessert. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Would recommend.

Arrived for our reservation at 4:30 pm on Valentine's Day. The restaurant was over half empt when we arrived. My husband and I ordered immediately when our server came. We received our salads and garlic bread quick. When we were done our salads we began to sit there and watch the restaurant fill up with other couples with reservations. One after another they received their main courses and finished eating. Our server apologized over and over again and said this never happens. Our server went and got the manager. He asked what they could do? I replied we would just like our food. He left our table and we continued to wait some more. Funny people that came in about 40 minutes after us were eating their main courses and it was pretty close to what we ordered. Over an hour later ........No Food!!!! It ruined our night. My husband left work early to make it for their reservation time. They had seating times. We also spent an hour driving. So no food so we told our server we were leaving. The manager didn't seem to care. We liked The Barrel and chose to spend our special night there. I'm so disappointed in them. I won't ever be going back. I would not give them my money. We couldn't believe how awful the service was. People eating around us also noticed too and commented on what is going on. To end my story we went to McDonald's cause we we starved! 3 minutes and we had our food! And the service was excellent! It was our special night out as with many other couples. They ruined it and could care less :(

We had reservations for Sat April 4 for 5:30. We were promptly seated and given menu's. The place was packed but our very friendly server assured us that they had lots of help. We ordered our meals and starters and proceeded to wait. It was 20 minutes to get our food but when it was time for my wife's meal to come the server said it was dropped and they would prepare another one in 4 minutes. She did get some fries but the sandwich hadn't come by the time we finished our meals and were ready to go. We told the server to pack it up and she would eat it at home. My beef is, we should not have been charged for the sandwich as a good will gesture but that did not happen. The bill came to 90$ (with Tip), no drinks, just one pop and no dessert. Considering the wait, the absent sandwich, and the price, I don't think we will come back.

Earlier this year my boyfriend and I went to go get dinner after spending a wonderful day at the beach. I was met with a rude front woman at the restaurant who told me I can not dine there because I was still in my swim top (it covered everything that needed to be covered, and honestly was less revealing than some of the crop tops that are sold in stores). Needless to say I felt embarrassed, I was under the impression I was walking into a 'non-pretencious' Italian restaurant (thats literally what it says in the restaurant description on google) but was met with a rather pretentious dress code. Luckily there was a restaurant down the road that didn't care about what I wore, so our night wasn't completely ruined. Needless to say, I will never go back to this establishment

I called in for pizza and wings takeout, the lady told me 40 minutes which was fine, my son got there at the correct time, waited 35 minutes, take out people that came In after him were getting g their good first, I called and she said they were just taking it out of the oven, when I called my son to check the order, our pizza was warm, but the wings were hot, they screwed up our order, trying to blame it on a power outage, but when I called the order in, nothing was said about the outage, my son went back in with the warm/cold pizza and the manager came out asking what was wrong, my son told him hot pizza would be nice to go with the hot wings....my son asked for his money back, which they did give, but no meal for us....so unless your willing to eat hot wings and cold pizza, I would think twice about ordering here....customers should come first, and if you screw up the order at least take responsibility for it....the manager was quite rude and not accommodating in any way.....

We were out on a shopping adventure and did a quick check on restaurants in Simcoe. So very glad that we decided to stop at the Barrel! COVID protocols were taken seriously but were not over bearing. The service from the Hostess and our Server were both friendly and knowledgeable. But the food. Well, that is where the adventure really begins. Hunger determined that we were not ongoing to get too adventurous and we both chose to have the Build your own Pasta offer that included salad, fresh baked buns and of the three types of sauce offered, we both chose the Bolognese sauce. The freshness of the sauce was vibrant and refreshing, the amount of pasta was ample but not over done and we both left feeling full but not bursting. Will we return...ABSOLUTELY!

First time here, it was good, nice family restaurant with good portions. Food quality and taste were very good. They support local and buy local. Rossalene (hopefully spelled right) was our server and she was fantastic and knowledgable. We came as a family with my 3 younger children, the cups were great and sealed for spills, their food was good and came out in good timing. The only thing I would have expected differently is that the kids meal come with a side and a small dessert (or just a small dessert), those 2 items were at an additional cost. However unexpectedly, she brought out some sugary doughnut like stuff which the kids went crazy for. My experience here was wonderful from start to finish and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family, in fact I already have. We will be back.

Sure looks like it used to be "authentic" but its fast food dressed up as such. Not bad but no where near authentic Italian anymore. Patio flies can kill in summer and its a bit run down inside. There are likely no better restaurants for many miles though. The pasta tastes good though just by itself and the fries aren't bad. The sauces. Yeah. OKish. Veggies squishy. Ketchup doesn't seem like the cheap stuff but the lemonade is weak. Service staff are excellent. There may be a very real business opportunity for a competing Italian/Thai/burger/whatever place on the stripa in this small town, despite the Barrel's loyal following. It gets very busy in there on nice evenings; while the rest of the strip looks abandoned. A tourist trap that seems to have lost much of its trapiness since the 60's, when the buildings were newer. Food snobs should perhaps head east for a few more hours.

Honestly the food is overpriced for what you get, it is almost like they want to be eastsides in everyway. Went with 9 people and the waitress only stayed at one end of the table to take orders and serve food making us pass meals and drinks down the table, which was ridiculous there was 5 feet of room behind one side that she could have gone down comfortably. The food was sub-par at best alot of the food was rushed otherwise it probably would have tasted fine but seriously the price was not worth it. Seriously not impressed I remember this place being better.

Could have been 4 stars but.... First time eating here and probably my last. The place was packed and wonderfully so, our server was friendly enough. The portions were very filling but I cannot give 4 or 5 stars for these reasons. One of our ceasar salads came out dry the dressing left well a lot to be imagined, the dressing on my salad was bland and we had to ask for more for my friend. ok no biggie. Our appetizers came out separately and the tzatziki sauce with the fried calamari was just ok, too much sour cream and no dill... um I've had better but ok.. our meals came out and 2 of us ordered the same thing, one was fully dressed with the toppings/sauce the other looked anorexic for toppings. The other dishes were fine. It came time for dessert and the variety was nice. I got mine to go (tiramisu) because I wanted a treat later. We are visiting and heres where I would have still given 4 had this not happened. The bills came split 3 ways. I pay cash and just have the server keep the change for tip, the other 2 pay in card and although we have not left yet and one didnt tip on her card but rounded up her check to the next home number and was leaving cash as its customary to tip as you leave. Rhe owner walks up to our table and asks if there was a problem because she didnt tip. We explain why figure ok no big deal but then when we do leave and the server is asked to break down a bill she doesnt break it down to give my friend the opportunity to tip what she wants she breaks down her bill by half and just keeps what she wants.. NO COOL.. I've been a server I've gotten stiffed on much larger tables than ours was (she was tipped nicely by myself and the person who did tip on their card) and forced an extra nice tip on my other friend who was trying to save her (the server) from being overly taxed by tipping cash... so in review.. food was ok, I've had better I've had worse.. prices were a little high but service was ok but tipping is not mandatory and especially what you are tip.. Oh and update the tiramisu was eh disappointing... very bland, the lady fingers were still dry the mascarpone layers were very thin.. definitely should have gotten cheesecake..

My wife and I each ordered a 9 oz glass of wine. When the waitress brought them she managed to pour a 9 oz glass all over my shirt and pants. No visit from any supervisor or anyone that might be responsible for the restaurant. I am not supposed to eat shrimp but I decided if they could give me scallops instead of the shrimp I would order that meal. I didn't expect a ton of scallops but I got four that I thought were regular size and the other two I think were one cut in half. Kind of disappointing to say the least. No discount either.

Took my Mom there for dinner service was the worst I've had in a long time. Drinks were not refilled, not asked how we were enjoying are meal. Menu is convoluted and confusing. To many options and not enough focus on the food. My mom had the shrimp and chicken skewers and it looked and tasted like scraps. My pizza was good but not described right in the menu. I'll never be back as for two people a soup and salad to start and two sub par meals with terrible service was 50 bucks.

I heard great reviews about The Barrel so our family visited. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and it was $20.99 and it tasted and looked like it would be worth $10.99. We also ordered the Calamari and it was hard texture (possibly frozen). They had great wine but as an authentic Italian restaurant...I didnt see an authentic meal. Our service was great...too bad the food wasn't.

This place can get packed though and the main restaurant entrance is used for take out as well and contains the only washrooms. It can get congested in this area. Also, the parking lot can fill to capacity at supper. We had to park across the road. But the food made up for it. :)

A nice Italian gem, run by Greek chef! :) highly recommended is the Flora's stuffed chicken and big enough for adult. The chicken Marsala is good too and is even bigger portion. As Desert we ordered the Premium of the day which was dark Chocolate cake; heavy but good. I would have preferred something a bit lighter and smoother. The staff was friendly except of one, I guess she did not have a good day or something. She was not really informative when I asked her for her recommendation. The is the only thing I could complain about.

Best wings in Simcoe in my opinion. Absolutely love the mozzarella marina as well. Very big portions for a great price while not sacrificing quality. Went out with my mother which she had the linguine (Tetrazzini I think it was called ). She loved it as well, had the half portion which was enough for her. Service was great and very prompt.

Wow. I normally love eating here. In the past they have always been fairly tastes and reliable. This past weekend it was just horrid. The service was great and on time but the food just righteously sucked! (Yes with an exclamation point). The steamed mussels seemed to be just a tad undercooked and the sauce was very runny. But tasted fairly decent. I ordered the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. They must have taken the spaghetti out of the pot, water and all because the breading was just sopping with water. Not too bad of a mistake. My gf had a grilled chicken and shrimp skewer that just screamed overpriced. One small skewer of chicken and one even smaller skewer of shrimp for the ripe price of 19 bucks! Your kidding right? I kid you not. But wait theres more! The shrimp was so salty that it was not even edible. She took one bite and had to spit it back onto her plate. Believe me, she is not a finicky eater and will suffer thru some untastey foods, but this one wasn't getting past her gag reflex. The potatoes and veggies that came with it were another story. The potatoe quarters were so over cooked, dry and greasy that they didn't even make it past the first bite. The cooked veggies were barely cooked at all and were still raw, but you could tell they had been on the grill for maybe 30 seconds. Just enough time to pick up some brown colouring from the grill. All in all though the waitress was genuinely sorry and very apologetic about the whole meal and only charged us for the drinks and the mussels. That being said I gave them 2 stars just because the waitress was doing her best.

Great atmosphere, good service, good food: all the things I want in a restaurant! AND gluten free pastas that don't taste like paper mache paste (my wife was delighted). Make-Your-Own pasta and Make-Your-Own pizza had our granddaughter in a tizzy about what to have. The only reasons it didn't get 5 stars are a) our server had almost no knowledge of their wines and could not help us make a decision, and b) both meals at our table that had noodles were watery - a surprise for a pasta place to miss something as basic as properly draining the pasta. I'm going to put both of those down to 'just one of those days'. We will definitely be back and I am positive that I'll change my rating.

The bun was very bland and not fresh. You can't just melt mozzarella cheese on everything and think its good to go! Panzerotti was tiny for 16.95 Gino's pizza panzerotti is better and bigger for 5 bucks ceaser salad had the cheapest croutons and a totally flavourless oil based under seasoned dressing. Waitress hated that she had to grate parmesan cheese on our half wilted questionable looking salad. Staff is rude i don't remember being asked if we needed refills or another drink or if our food was fine a single time over the hour and a half we were there SAVE YOUR MONEY EAT ELSEWHERE!!!! all in all food, service, and price were terrible.....$140.00 for us to leave still hungry and can't help but feeling ripped off for the second and final time by this overrated over priced underwhelming Greek italian? Mockery... food and staff are a disaster. I have also been told nasty things are done in the kitchen to those who complain about their food .. so don't complain!!!

This is the second time we have been to The Barrel since moving to Simcoe earlier this summer. The server was friendly and attentive hence the one star. The Seafood Creole was awful. It was bland and the sauce was watery. The seafood was terribly overcooked and had a rancid smell; even our server noticed the odor. My wife's Baked Chicken Penne, though better, was also watery and had little flavour. It would have been nice for a manager to pop by to touch base; instead it was left to the server to deal with the issues. Coming from Hamilton, we were spoiled with wonderful Italian restaurants like Chicago Style Pizza and Bronzies. We love Simcoe and have supported local businesses and restaurants since day one. After our second attempt eating at The Barrel, we learned our lesson. Next time - Boston Pizza.

Barrel was my favorite restaurant when I lived in Simco, ON in 2019. I believe it was the best restaurant in town in terms of food quality/hygiene, trained crew, and services. I went most of the night to this restaurant may be 4 to 5 times per week and tried most of their foods. Try to go there as hangry as you can. Very delicious, clean and high quality foods. My favorite foods : 1) Eggplant Parmigiana, 2) Fettuccine Carbonara, 3) Souvlaki, and Salmon.

Ordered 2lbs of wings, extra sauce. What I got was an order of old soggy wings that had clearly been sitting around. The breading on the wings had basically disintegrated into mush. They were absolutely disgusting, I managed to eat 4 or 5 before I gave up and chucked them in the garbage, which is what they should have done instead of trying to sell them. I can’t believe they charged 27 for that, what a rip off. I don’t mind paying good money for good food, but in this case I paid good money for food that should have been tossed. Won’t be eating there again.

The service was great. We were quickly seated. The servers were quick but we never felt rushed. The bread was excellent in taste and texture. The food was really tasty and had generous sized portions. Prices were quite reasonable. I'm sure we'll be back the next time we're in Simcoe.

Food was good but services wasnt the best. We got seated and waited 10 mins before having to ask someone to help us with drinks. We gave our complete order and in that time to getting our drinks people next to us were seated and drinks ordered and served. Was walking out as drinks were being delivered. Decided to stay and enjoyed the food at least.

Amazing, fresh and authentic Italian cuisine. I got the chicken parm and spaghetti and it was just amazing. The fresh baked dinner rolls were the size of a sandwich bun and so warm. We ordered all the appetizers and the rice balls were a table favorite! Staff was accommodating and polite.

This restaurant is an absolute treasure! I have been enjoying their food for over 30 years, and have never had a bad meal. The quality of the ingredients is very evident, and everyone from the owners, to kitchen staff, and servers are just top notch. I was extremely impressed when I showed up with a tour bus full of over 40 students on our Tour of Norfolk, and they got us all served quickly, efficiently, and deliciously. So impressed! My students were raving about the delicious food, and took their families there, and of course they were impressed too!!! Just enjoyed another fantastic take-out today, the pizza is the best I have had anywhere (better than Italy!!!) and their olive oil is amazing. It's also the best I have ever had! Their salads are so fresh, delicious, and very high quality. I would give them 10 stars if I could! I wish them all the best!!!!

The service and our waitress was great. Our meal not so much...it was not very hot, the chicken was quite dry and my veggies were not cooked. We have been there before and it was much better... maybe just a bad day, we will try again.

Food is really good. So I suggest take out. But in restaurant dining, not so much. Staff is friendly, but the environment is very old and stuffy feeling. It's also a little on the dark side of lighting in there
