I took my sister here when she was visiting from the east coast. She wanted to try something different that wasn't available where she lives so we went to Sa-Fire. It was my first time here as well and we both LOVED it. The atmosphere was inviting, staff was great and friendly. Live music wasn't to my taste, but that's just a preference and really has no bearing on how good the food is. My favourites were the shrimp and calamari. The calamari was a bit greasy - something I love - but may not be for everyone. Can't wait to come back with husband and try something new! Highly recommend.

Ordered on Door Dash today for Father's Day. After showing the delivery man was close to my house, the order was cancelled. I waited 40 minutes for my lunch which I was supposed to have with my father that I bought while looking forward to it. Now the refund will take 5-7 business days. Just plain terrible.

This is a great restaurant. Large portions of food and it tastes amazing. It's nicely renovated and the place is kept very clean. I had my birthday party there and brought around 50 people and they were able to accommodate and provided a DJ. Everyone said the food tasted great and was very reasonably priced for the large portions. I'm usually able to take home food for lunch the next day. I'd recommend the lo mein veggie noodles, veggie fry rice and pepper shrimp.

A couple of days ago, we ordered rice with hot sauce on the side for pick-up. After picking it up we went home, only to find out they accidentally added the hot sauce inside the food and it was way too spicy to eat! That's okay, mistakes happen. So we called and asked if we could get a different order, because of how extra spicy it was and that there was a mixup in the order. After a while, they agreed and cooked us up another batch after we returned once again. But, when we got home with it this time, they literally gave us rice and onions! Just rice and onions. This is NOT what I paid for. They took out the okra and broccoli and all the other veggies from it. I wish I took a picture... TLDR; Never going back to the Scarborough location again, it's rude to scam people like that.

The SaFire rice is fantastic, cheap and feeds multiple people. I don't even like shrimp but I'll eat it with that. Extremely friendly staff, even tho they do have to deal with some drunk loud people. Polite. Great experience every time I go.

I am a regular here. The food is awesome. Waitresses are great. Not a place for conversation over dinner. Karaoke very loud and they took the lights off a bit and we ask the waitress to turn them on before we eat. The owner went and dimmed them again. Not very likely to dine here again but order takeout instead. As i said awesome food.

I LOVE their food!! There are plenty of west Indian restaurants in Scarborough, but I believe Sa-Fire is hands down the best! Delicious food. The service is awesome and friendly. It's a good relaxing atmosphere. They also have a delicious drink called "purple city" it's a good bar and restaurant for those random nights with the wife or even a casual date. Have fun!

Arrived at 9:30 pm Sunday and tried to enjoy the patio. The website says they are open till 2:00 am but the bartender said they are closed. The table next to us was still ordering buckets of beer no problem. Too bad never gave a one star review!

Sa-Fari Restaurant I was invited by a friend at this restaurant it's in Scarborough, they serve West Indian food here so if you feel like Rice curry chicken, and roti, the chicken wing a surprisingly tasty here, this is a place to go, they also serve beer and alcoholic drinks here. I was there Friday night 8:30 to 10:00 p.m. you can also watch Sports, it was a busy place.

I made an order for last Sunday to cater an event at my home for over $250. I placed the order the Tuesday before the event. I spoke to the female owner and placed my order which included dry chilli chicken specifically and not the wet. I called back on the Saturday to confirm my order that my order will be fulfilled at the right time. I didnt change my order. My parens picked up the order on sunday and i recieved wet chilli chicken. I called back the restaurant that night to advise them and i was told to call back during the week when the owner was working. I called back on the wednesday and the owner was not helpful. The male owner said it was my fault for not specifying dry chilli chicken and would not do anything about it because it was an expensive dish for him to refund. That is unacceptable. Will not be catering again from here.

Tried out this place today, special chicken FR and wings. Food was decent, I can see why people don't like the lady behind the counter. Often times whether the food was good or average, the customer experience is apart of what keeps people coming back. Asked for an extra pepper sauce and she charged me for a drop of it. That's poor customer service and a reason to choose a business that treats their customers well.

I absolutely love the food, great atmosphere and friendly servers but place needs more benched seating especially for families with small children. Lovely washroom but they need to change the flooring or bring the partition in women's washroom stall to the floor. You can see person in the next stall from the reflection on the black floor. This place is fire!!! About 1 month ago I had some friends come to Toronto from Boston and I took them to Safire on Sunday night. We had a blast to say the least! I think they have called me everyweek since and mentioned SA-FIRE. I really don't go out much but such a fun environment and great wings!

When this restaurant newly opened, the food was amazing, atmosphere was nice and the quality of food was great. I recently went back and was so very disappointed. The rice in both fried rice and plain was very hard and uncooked. They served the curry my sister ordered and it was more than half potatoes and bones, the gravy was watery and an oil separation. Very poor customer service from the owners. Years ago they were so friendly and now they look right through you with no hospitality especially regarding our issue with the food. The drinks are never made correctly, we order the same drink every time, it’s wrong mix every time. The atmosphere was very unpleasant especially for females. It’s now an over the top rum shop. Lots of loud drunk men at the bar yelling and screaming who treat wait staff poorly. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Sat. 6th April. It was hard for me to understand why I've missed this place for such a long time. From the outside, you would never know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The place seem to be a need to know...but it's now visible from Markham road since the auto service center has been torn down. Atmosphere is a four, the bathroom was a four and a half, the food was on average a two and a half to three. We ordered what we thought was the best items from the google reviews, The fry chicken, this was a poor attempt at Hong Kong style fry chicken, or maybe we were there on the wrong day. The jerk chicken was pretty good, I would buy again; the noodles that came with it was the house special and was off a bit. The pepper shrimp was good, it was freshly prepared and had vibrant color and the taste; this was a four; you could taste the freshness. The drinks were cold. All in all a good trip. They deserve a second look during the week, when next in town.

The crowd is "mature"; the music is 80's or earlier. Patrons "dance" seated, and order food or drinks. There is a dance space available, but not used very much. The food and drinks are very good.

Great little gem of a place, quietly situated in a small plaza on Painted Post Rd in Scarborough. This is one of my top favourites. The decor is a beautiful mix of contemporary and non-synchronous design. The place is clean and well ventilated. There's a wet bar and a small dance section. The ambiance in this restaurant is warm and inviting. The staff is experienced, polite, and helpful. I am not a "Foodie," but this restaurant gets me eating. Here, I get the perfect vegetable meal, prepared to preserve nutrients and enhance flavour. Being Vegan, I am limited to what I can eat, but there is no complaints when I visit Sa-Fire as the vegetable dish is "to die for," and prices are great! An added bonus is the karaoke and dance club conversion on the weekend. Some Saturday nights you can drop by and enjoy a privately promoted party or sing your heart out on Sunday nights. Entry on weekends is either by advanced ticket or free. (Recently, I was told that soon there will be a regular in-house DJ, on the weekend, but I have not verified this information.) Parking is free and plenty during the week, but could be scarce on the weekend when there's a party or popular DJ so planning to get there early, carpool, or cab it, are good options.
