No surprise that this is rated the best breakfast in the Sault. We had both excellent food and service. There are some very creative dishes on the menu (such as the chicken and waffles eggs benedict and mini crepes, in our photos). There is literally something for everyone. The servings are also huge, so that's a bonus. You'll be a literal pig by the time you're done. Definitely recommend it!

Another great eating experience at the Breakfast Pig. We had the Eggs Benedict Whitefish Cakes and the Angela - both were perfect served along with the excellent hot sauces. Service was first rate as well.

Don't judge the outside for the food that you will enjoy inside. The portions are quite big and if you are not that peckish, share a plate. The Benny was good. If you want a bit of heat on your food, there's many hot sauce choices. Parking is scarce so come early.

My most recent visit here was quite the disappointment. I ordered the Adonis with poutine home fries, and the only part of my food that was warm was the gravy. The rest was either cool or cold. The home fries were not thoroughly cooked and still hard. Even worse was the fact that the owner was seated eating at a table near us, and complaining about customers and other small businesses in the area. Very disappointing to hear! We will not be back. The servers were very nice and polite.

The food in this place was amazing, the aroma of crepes can be smelled from the parking behind the building, I wanted to eat them but I saw a make your own omelet options which I opted for. Theres so many options on the menu otherwise and the hollandaise sauce was superb, i had a pulled pork and bacon omelette with mushrooms and spinach, topped with hollandaise served with homefries. My family also ordered the coffee beer (okay but the craft beer options we have at home did surpass it), the fish cakes were apparently yummy. The place was packed as it's not a huge place so there may be a wait but it was worth it.

We heard great things about this place so we tried it out and we were really let down with our food and overall experience. We ordered pancakes and a crêpe. Our order took over 40 minutes to arrive. When we did get our food we found the bottom of the pancakes to be burnt and the fruit that was used on both the pancakes and the crêpe were frozen. The frozen fruit thawed and caused the entire crêpe dish to become extremely watery to a point my crêpe was floating in a pool of ice water and fruit juice. I normally don't complain about food and just eat it anyway but this was inedible, even for me. My girlfriend was also not happy with her burnt pancakes and didn't even finish one of them. I'm very surprised the waitress did not ask us if everything was alright, considering we did not touch our food and asked for it to be thrown out.

Went there for brunch when my uncle and grandparents were temporarily visiting before they headed to the airport. The menu was well organized, straight to the point and the person serving was very familiar with the menu and the state of their restaurant- instantly knowing which item they didn't have in gluten free. There was a single mishap when my sister ordered the Northern Comfort and disliked it. The criticisms were that the syrup didn't taste spicy at all, and was much too sweet to go with the mac & cheese and the waffle became too soggy too quickly. Then why the 5 Stars if one out of five of us sitting at the table had a bad experience? They offered to replace her order with something else- and when she decided not to they removed the order from the bill. Extremely generous that even international food places wouldn't replicate- or even the overblown Mill. If y'all want local Sault Saint Marie food this is definitely the place.

Every other breakfast joint pales in comparison. Want a waffle, mac+cheese, crunchy fried chicken, smothered in tangy bbq sauce? They got it. An unholy alliance of poutine and eggs benny ... ditto. Belgian waffles and deep fried chicken ... delish. Lots of local flavours. Outstanding!

First time here. Came with my sister and nephew and my fiancé. Had the Northern Comfort. Absolutely amazing. Couldn't decide between fried chicken and pulled pork. But thanks to our awesome server Autumn, she recommended both. Definately will be back again, once we are in the Sault!

Wow. Our takeout came in less than 10 minutes. My eggs Benedict was out of this world delicious. Pesto, balsamic oil, red peppers and cheese is the perfect combination. My husband had the crepes which were also heavenly. The customer service was unbelievable. We might just have to drive back from Ottawa for this delicious breakfast.

Solid diner. They advertise that everything is fresh, especially their pork products. Apparently, it is sourced from a farm that raises the pigs humanly and with proper feed. I ordered the "Italiano" and you can tell the sausage was meatier, not fatty /Greasy and had a firmer texture. Very good coffee too. Would go back to try other entrées

I was especially happy that they supported the Indigenous community through their evening of honour in support of the Sault Ste Marie Indian Friendship Centre. The service was not good. Was not at all impressed with the food. The bacon was so over done that it crumbled when you bit it, even after we sent it back. I ordered whole wheat and got multi grain toaat. Not to mention she didn't even ask what meat I wanted to begin with. We had to ask and wait for jam for our toast and never revived a bill. The food was also a little expensive, 3 breakfasts and 2 coffee was $40.12. Deffinetly will not return.

This is a warm and very inviting breakfast place. It celebrates breakfast and lunch. I had the Great Lake, Whitefish and benny and a side of bacon. Everything is fresh. I took a chance doing breakfast different. My palate not refined enough for fish for breakfast. Anyway, the rest was heaven. Freshly made breads. A very eclectic menu. Loved the atmosphere. Went for breakfast and had a good experience. Order portion was on the healthy side (not to much closer to little). Staff treated everyone well and really wanted to provide a good experience. Had the custom sausage and they were great tasting but to small. The real strength is the bread as it was wonderful and fresh.

I've waited 4 years to eat here again. Food and food quality are an A+. Unfortunately due to the current restrictions I was only able to pick up for my family. As I stood in line there was one family in front of me. They were seated and then another group of 4 got in line behind me. The hostess then proceeded to seat the group of 4 behind me without even asking me why I was there. After she seated them she proceeded to go back inside for a couple minutes. She eventually came back out and wiped a table by the door where they seem to keep their menus. She finally came over and asked how she could help. I then told her I was there to pickup an order. She went inside and a fellow then brought me a bag of food. I ordered lots so to me one bag looked suspicious. I went to my vehicle and decided to double check my order. Yup, lots was missing. Went back to where the lineup was, luckily no line up. Was looked at a couple times until another group of 4 lined up behind me. She then proceeded to ask them how many in their party. The fellow answered by saying the guy in front of us is missing some of his order, you might want to help him. She told him she would get to me. When she got to me I explained what I was missing. She went in and grabbed about half of what i was missing. I explained to her that I still needed two more oders of breakfast potatoes as they were not in with the French toast. She went back in and grabbed them. I proceeded to triple check my order but was greeted with a," You don't need to do that!" Well I guess I should have. Still 3 orders of eggs short when I got back to the motel. I loved the food, but the service was awful. Not even an apology. I hate to see such a great place go downhill. Even if someone is having a bad day it reflects very poorly on the business.

The food is fantastic! I've had a number of menu items from their bennies to their french toast fingers, they're all delicious. It's a comfortable atmosphere with very tentative and helpful staff. You gotta' check it out. Can't wait until my next visit!

Fell in love with this place already when I entered and saw the sign "Bacon makes me happy". I sitted down and looked around, found all kind of funny decorations. Ordered it's signature dish "Breakfast pig" and it's huge. Gravy on the poutine was great. 6 eggs omelet stuffed with pulled pork and ham, plus 3 pieces of back bacon on the side, I can only finish half of the whole thing.

We stopped by in Sault Ste Marie for a visit from Toronto. Instead of going to McDonald’s or such we opt to support local. We found this restaurant not too far from where we stayed for the night. The place was cozy and such, the food was great and more than enough. Unfortunately, the other aspect of it wasn’t so. Being the only non Caucasian person there we felt we were excluded from their normal duties. Such as, how is the food? Would you like a refill for your coffee? None whatsoever. We wanted more coffee. Why didn’t we ask? Well, the patron seating beside us, got his food, was asked about his meal, offered more coffee. It started fine as were seated, but after that everything just went south. Only until they knew we were done eating had they offered to come up and take out plates knowing we now want the bill. Whatever COVID related thoughts they may have had we felt like we were NOT welcomed to be there. So for those who are not Caucasian just keep that in mind when you decide to choose this restaurant as your pick. I wish I could say more positive notes other than the food. EDIT: Thank you for your prompt response. I don’t want to take away from all the amazing things that have been done. This may have been a one off and I do understand this does not represents the values held within the business. We never even got the name of our waitress who was serving us that morning. We were there around 9AM today.
