Great food and great atmosphere at fair prices. My mom had their pickerel dinner with house salad and loved it. The fish was cooked to perfection with a light crisp to it. As a former fishing guide I was pleased to see how well they did on the fish. I had the penne al forino (probably spelt that wrong lol) with sauce and sausage in it, melted Mozzarella on top. It comes with fresh bread and house salad. It tasted fantastic!. The service was friendly and efficient. Will certainly be going back.

pizza is fantastic deal and they do have a diverse menu with very reasonable prices. There is easily something for everyone and the fact kids eat free(might be on certain days though not entirely sure) but really makes this a perfect place to take your family.

We were there 3 years ago and the breakfast was great. We are back in Canada again and tried Gino's for dinner bad mistake. We're from Wisconsin and couldn't believe even in Canada a restaurant wouldn't have butter. The special, liver and onion was over cooked and grizzly. My wifes porkchop was thin and looked more like a pork steak. I gave it 3 stars because of the breakfast.

Experience was awful. Food was awful. Would never go back. 2 steak dinners and a veal Parmesan dinner. Steaks were well done but ordered medium/rare. Baked potato I think was baked for about 3 days. Wrong pasta was served with the veal. Appetizer was spinach dip, that was ordered way before the meals, but it came after the meals were served. On top of that the pita that came with it was stale and the dip itself was awful and you couldn't even dip in it, it was like 1 big chunk. And the best part was that the waitress said "we"ll take care of you" which ended up being a 20$ gift card?! Like as if you're going to not use it for the crap you just had and go back. Absolutely awful.

They are always so accommodating with our large family. Not only is it the only place in town (that I'm aware of) that offers kids eat free every day, the food and service is beyond amazing. For my son's birthday, they allowed us to bring our own cake and stored it for us until we were finished eating. When we were ready, they brought the cake out and sang happy birthday.. It was so kind of them to go above and beyond and it definitely made my son feel special.

Our meal here was fantastic. The only issue was that our ticket was missed, so we waited longer than usual. Our server did as much as she could to correct that mistake, and in my eyes, she did just that. Would absolutely come again.

The food was good, service was not. Waitress forgot drinks, and brought our bills to us when she served our food. We felt like we were being rushed out the door. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert or another drink or even a take out container. Wasn't a great visit, will probably be a few years before we decide to go back!

Went to Gino’s restaurant this morning for breakfast with wife only to receive the worst customer service I’ve ever seen built with and attitude and yelling at us as customers and in front of her owner who stated she would deal with her I highly doubt it. The bacon was asked to be cooked crispy and was under cooked also asked to have the eggs on a separate plate wasn’t done never offered and sorry and if done so with a very poor attitude this being said when we were telling the owner she rushed over to raise voice at us and with a huge attitude and the boss as the nerve to tell us to keep it down what ever happen to customer is always right I as a owner would be embarrassed needless to say never going back very poorly ran!!

I used to only go to Gino's for breakfast and now i remember why. It is supposed to be an a family "Italian" restaurant yet the Italian menu items were the worst tasting. The pasta sauce was watery, very salty and tasted like it came from a can or a jar. I ordered grilled pickerel but it was definitely deep-fried. My girlfriend had shrimp that was battered and deep fried to a crisp - tasteless. The only good reviews on here i'm sure are coming from people who prefer to eat at truck stops and other greasy spoons.

We had stopped in to Sault Ste Marie for the night and we were looking for a family friendly restaurant to grab food and bring back to our lodgings. This place not only fit the bill, but friendly staff and delicious food made it the perfect stop! We ordered the Thursday special (chicken parm and pasta) and it was delicious and plentiful! The staff was friendly, and helpful. Definitely recommend eating here and if we happen to be in the area again we will make this our go to!

I should have wrote this review awhile ago but ....I am not normally the type if I have nothing nice to say. My takeout order was ....some sort of fish stick dinner... I said pickerel and I literally got what looked like frozen fish sticks with a salad and a few other items. I was so mad because the service that I just took the food without looking at it. I got home... Opened it up and...Fish sticks :S I dont know if it was because they thought I was being rude or if that is actually what they call a pickerel dinner there but for the price I was tempted to go back and demand a refund. Depending on where you sit in the restaurant it looks nice enough (make sure you get the far back room.) Something about that room with the "Waterfall wall" just makes me feel grungy. I like there veal Parmesan but I think for the service and quality of it's food It is severely over priced... Good breakfast though.

Picked up pizza, stated DID NOT WANT thin crust.. still got soggy, undercooked yuck crust(?). The add in the phone book offers 3 different crusts so....why?? They have glass partitions at pickup and cash register, but no masks on employees and no disinfectants at debit machine.

Stopped in here after a long highway trek. Interesting homey interior. Breakfast menu is basic but covers all the usual breakfast favorites. Everything was very good. Staff was friendly, service was good, food hot and delicious. And came out relatively quickly.

This was in Sault st Marie. A family/date style restaurant. I had the strip loin steak with al alioli. Pasta was fresh. Steak was fantastic. It came with a humble salad. My friend had the soup and didn't like it. Too watery. She liked the schnitzel. Both had generous portions. Had to take away the remains for lunch the next day. Service friendly. Price extremely reasonable. Two price fix meals with drinks, under $55. Atmosphere, northern family diner. Licensed. Recommended

Hottest homemade chicken soup I ever had in a restaurant! Excellent! The large mug of soup was served with a veal parmigiana on a bun. There are also several other sandwich options and rather than soup, you can chose fries or a salad to go with your sandwich. There are also some pasta offerings at lunch. The restaurant offers family style dining which is a wonderful option when going out with a large group. Service was a little slow once we had our lunch served and we had to find our waitress to get some coffee. You certainly can't go wrong coming here for a meal.

I have been back to Gino's a few times now. It sure has up the quality. The veal parm special is amazing. I suggest if you have not been in a while try it . Well Im writing another review Oct 25/ 2020. I usually eat in at Gino's But because of the pandemic I chose to order take out. We ordered Chicken Parm. I had been graving this dish from them. It was Fantastic. We also ordered a pizza which I had never tryed . It was pure perfection. Now I know there take out is as delicious as the eat in I will order again and again. Thank for the lovely dinner.

The quality of the sauce was worse than canned. The noodle type cost $2.00 more than spagetti noodles. I do not see why since the low quality sauce was the same. The sauce lacked substance and was bland in taste. Beer also tasted watered down. Very disappointing. Overall quality of the restaurant was evident in the number of vehicles in the parking lot compared to same type of restaurant 2km down the road.

Ate breakfast at Gino’s recently. Disappointed with the omelet. Asked for double cheese and could barely see/taste any cheese. Pemeal bacon slices were so thin you could almost see through them. Very disappointed. Would have paid a little more for a decent portion of pemeal and for more cheese in the omelet.

We were a group of 5 - the service was great - super friendly and efficient waitress. We had the daily special - chicken Parmesan with pasta and soup or salad all for $12.99. Large portions ! Salad was fresh, chicken Parmesan was tender with a nice crust - and delicious sauce on the pasta. Really good food, great value and wonderful service - will be back whenever we are in the Sault again.

I ordered a veggie omelette, which had canned mushrooms instead of fresh ones but I could overlook that fact. I can also overlook the fact that instead of rye toast the server brought white toast. What I can’t overlook is that when the server noticed my wrong toast she went to the kitchen, came back to my table carrying the new toast, proceeded to reach into my plate with her hands and grab the white toast from it, touching my omelette and home fries with the back of her hand in the process, and slid the new toast onto my plate. I don’t want a server’s hand touching my actual food. Also my tomato juice can was rusty. I would never eat here again because of this incredibly unhygienic and gross incident. I paid for my food but couldn’t eat it. Complete waste of money.

I ordered a panzoratie , I couldn't even eat it . There's was mountains of uncooked pepperoni and a small amount of cheese. The best part of the meal as literally the bread which was still half frozen from being in the freezer . The ceased salad was drowned in dressing , however was comped . How ever the waitress was very professional and nice . $40.00 for a slice of frozen bread and a can of pop .. Don't go here hungry . I will not be going back !

My wife and I went there for lunch as we wanted to go to a 'family' restaurant as opposed to a chain. We ordered sandwiches from the lunch menu which stated that soup , salad, fries or mashed were included. We both ordered soup( they only had two choices - chicken noodle or tortellini). What we got was some broth with a bunch noodles and tortellinis thrown in. I swear that it was soup from a can except Campbell's soup at least has some pieces of chicken in it and the Campbell's soup would be an improvement on this swill. They then had temerity to charge an extra two dollars for the tortellini soup though the menu said soup was included with the menu. The service was terrible, we had to ask the server for napkins and cutlery and the server tried to take my wife's food away without even asking if she was finished!! To top it off, while we were eating the servers were talking loudly about making sure the toilets we're clean and toilet paper stocked up. ( A 'family' restaurant indeed). All in all one of the worst restaurants we have ever been in. Terrible food, terrible service, this place had it all....beware people of the Soo.

Horrible experience right from the beginning and does not deserve 1 star, the service was horrible with the waitress dismissive and rude turning away before we were even done asking for our order. OMG!!! That's all l have to say about this amazing Italian Restaurant. I ordered the special veal parmesan. The pleasant and accommodating waitress brought out fresh bread and a salad . Then this huge plate came out. The veal was tender and the home made fettuccine was spectacular! They really know how to celebrate the pomodoro tomatoes in their sauce. I had to bring half home. It was only $12.99. What a culinary experience in this amazing family restaurant. We need this in Sudbury.

The veal parm was good but my carrots and mashed potatoes were hardly above room temperature. We had driven in from Thunder Bay and only wanted to eat and get to our motel so I didn't send it back. In any case, they had just informed my wife that they were out of mashed potatoes for her order. So, she asked for gnocchi instead. They charged her over $3 for that. Since they couldn't provide what they had offered, and waited until everyone else had been served to tell her this, the gnocchi should have been no charge clearly.
