Located on the Main Street in downtown Sault Ste. Marie. Cozy restaurant with warm decor. Note that the restaurant is very small, and a locals favorite, so reservations are recommended. The menu has interesting options and all the dishes we ordered were well prepared and tasty. Prices are moderate/high. There is complimentary bruschetta before dinner and then complimentary bread with dinner. The salads that come with the dinner entrees were delicious and well dressed. The Gamberoni fra diavolo was very tasty and it had enough spice to add flavor but not so much to make it impossible to eat . Papperdelle allo zafferano was delicious and well prepared. We asked our server to change the papperdelle for angel hair and they were gracious to do it.

While a nice setting and pleasant enough staff, the sequencing of the meal and wine service was very disappointing. We ordered a very nice wine for the main course, only to have the meal delayed in arrival until the wine was fully gone. Unacceptable! Then, when wanting to enjoy an authentic Italian dessert, we were advised there was none left. After learning the halibut special was also gone early, leaves one thinking the place isn't deserving of its fine reputation. Very disappointing overall... given the prices charged.

Excellent. Take-out didn’t take away from the quality and flavor. I’m thankful a Manitoba friend recommended this place for our stop in Sault Ste Marie. Egg noodles taste like they were made today, and best I’ve ever had. Lobster Ravioli was fab. Fantastic Caesar dressing. Don’t pass this place up if you need a quality bite on the road.

Arturo's is the best place for fine dining in Sault Ste. Marie. The food is always fresh and delicious, the wine list is extensive and the service is impeccable. Tom the owner and the rest of the staff are very friendly and attentive. A must visit place when in Sault Ste. Marie.

An Italian restaurant in downtown, in Sault Ste.Marie The most delicious and unforgettable meal. The lighting of the restaurant is very dark, the background music is very stylish, and the atmosphere is very good. My waiter is very professional. Very delicious Italian food, lamb chops and duck breast are very good. The salad is very fresh. The freshly ground black pepper adds a new level to the dishes. Food is too tasty even forgot to take photos. I had a wonderful dinner. I'll choose here when I visit the city again.

We started with the smoked duck - excellent! The blueberry port sauce is a delicious accompaniment. I had the seafood risotto in a white wine sauce - excellent, with plenty of mussels, clams, shrimp and scallops all properly cooked and very tasty! Decided to treat myself when in the Soo and so we went to Arturo`s - great choice!

Great food... top shelf in the Sault... Yes the prices are higher than some local restaurants, but the quality of food is excellent. If you get an appetizer (I highly recommend the escargot or the scallops and spinach) and a main, you'll probably leave with a takeout tray with half your meal for lunch the next day. The brothers who own the place are good people, worth supporting with your business.

As a frequent diner of our local restaurants, this is my favourite. Thomas and Chris always make everyone feel like they have been friends forever. The food is always spectacular, tonight the grilled peaches with goat cheese and a honey balsamic walnut glaze was amazing. Worth every penny.

So incredible! Food and service out of this world! Plump mussels, caesar salad, and Gamberoni Fra Diavolo while enjoying a very good Bartolo wine. Dessert was great coffee and the lightest tiramisu I've ever had! This place is a must for visitors and locals alike. Fine dining at its best! Our server Andrew was very attentive and knowledgeable...an experienced treasure for Arturo! Big complements to the chef and owner!

This was the best dining experience I've ever had in Sault Ste. Marie. Service was quick and very attentive to us. The prices here are higher than most of the restaurants in the area but the phrase, "you get what you pay for" definitely comes to mind here. The food quality was so high that I can't stress this enough and I was truly satisfied with each plate. I would describe most of what I was served as artisanal because you could clearly tell everything was made with fresh, quality ingredients and it was cooked with professional care. I wouldn't be able to afford eating here weekly or even bi-weekly but it's definitely one of the higher pleasures you can treat yourself to while in Sault Ste. Marie.

The most amazing dining experience. Our group was treated to the most delicious foods and awesome service. They have a great selection of wines to choose from. They suggested "let my brother and I cook for you and you will not be disappointed." We were very impressed and satisfied. A multi course meal of appetizers, small plates of beef tenderloin, duck, salmon, pasta, gnocchi and more kept arriving at our table. To top it off you must try the desserts and coffee to finish an evening you will not forget.

I've been excited to try this restaurant for quite sometime but unfortunately it didn't live up to its name. The braised beef ravioli was okay but by no means worth the price (especially given the large array of Italian eateries in the Sault serving near identical plates), and the gorgonzola gnocchi tasted like store bought dumplings with an underwhelming and bland sauce. Overall it was an overpriced subpar meal.

Amazing !!! Landed in sault Ste marie for work and I was rather exhausted. Arturo allowed me to order " takeout" ( they don't do takeout) Staff and owner were so friendly , food was amazing ,fresh , delicious , very authentic Italian flavour!!!!! I will be back and will recommend it to all colleague travelling to sault Ste marie. Keep up the great work !!!!

Greatest food on earth. Risotto and ravioli were wonderful, with the freshest sauce, a lot of seafood, complimentary salads and bruschetta. We both loved it and ate all although each dish is enough for two. It's not cheap but when the best was cheap?

We stopped here twice on our way to and from Thunder Bay. The service was amazing and food was great too with generous servings. We were able to customize the meals for our picky teens which was really nice. Coming from Toronto, the pricing seemed reasonable for the quality and experience.

My fiancée and I came here for dinner and we were blown away! The food was so delicious - we had the scallops and spinach for an appetizer, and the saltimbocca di vitello and spaghetti alla marinara. As well, our server, Daniel, was amazing! They had a homemade hot oil that was the best to add to our pasta and just to have with bread. We can’t wait to come back.

Travelling through Sault Ste Marie, and ordered take out at the recommendation of family from Manitoba. The Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. I had the lobster ravioli and my partner had the Papperdelle Arturo. Both pasta dishes were rich and exploding with flavour. The egg noodles were hands down the best either of us had ever tasted. Staff were very pleasant both on the phone and in person. I will definitely eat here again if we find ourselves in the Soo.

Visited Arturo's while in sault Sainte marie on work training. By far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. I personally had the chicken penne and it was unarguably the best I have ever eaten. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and we stayed long after we had finished eating. The service was amazing and the staff were very welcoming. This will be my place of choice whenever I find myself back in the area!

Unfortunately found a long black hair in my Caesar salad. Wasn’t offered anything aside from a new salad (which I declined) and paid full price for the meal & wine. The pastas (Gorgonzola gnocchi and lobster ravioli) were quite dense and underwhelming. Servers were nice but I would not return.

I made a reservation in advance online and was called back by the owner, i pre ordered my food, and pre paid on phone before I arrived. My wife and I were completly taken care of, we came in sat down right away they brought drinks right away. They started us off with smoked duck, it had a beet reduction sauce on it, that mixed with the smokey flavor was incredible. My wife had filet mignon medium rare and I lamb medium/pink. Our meals were cooked to perfection, the portion sizes were generous, the side of mushrooms and potatoes were so juicy and flavorful. We ended our evening with espresso and my wife creme brulé and I had tiramisu which was made that day, everything was top notch! We were treated with care, the staff was delightful, happy and courteous, they didn't interrupt us at all and yet were still there to always look after us. It was a perfect birthday date and i would encourage anyone looking for a fancy dinner date to come here! Thank you for completly looking after us Arturo ! :)
