Beutiful place, the restaurant is clean and classy. I went there for brunch and was excited to try some Korean food. I had a bulgogi omlette and my girlfriend had the bimibop. Food was excellent, great service, price is average for a restaurant of it's quality. My girlfriend who has recently been to Korea claims that the bimibop and bulgogi really reminded of her trip. She was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely one of the finer cultural restaurants in Saskatoon.

Extremely good service, but the food was not what we expected. We ordered today’s special, salmon rolls, salmon was not fresh. It taste like rubber no texture. The soy sauce for sushis’ or rolls are not sushi’s soy sauce just cooking soy sauce. There are no cutlery or gloves for fried chicken, it was extremely hard to eat it with a chopstick and a soup spoon for Japanese food, the fried chicken is extremely over priced, 18 dollars for 2 pieces for chicken thigh and 1 chicken leg. Bibimbap was ok, it’s a quality and taste what I expected after tasting the salmon rolls. The one star is for service, extremely helpful staff. We asked for gloves he provided us forks and a small tablespoon, even it did not help that much but he tried his best. Strongly suggest for the owner to change the spoon, the spoon provided was a soup spoon for Japanese soup, there are special soy sauce for sushi and different dishes needs different kind of rice. Best regards.

Super nice Asian fusion food! Had the fried chicken and it was great. I didn’t realize the pieces would be large thigh pieces however so I ended up with a lot more than expected (good thing they were half price) The Bibimbap was okay, not as flavourful as I would have expected it to be.

Michelin one grade restaurant. Service was above and beyond front of house and back, The kitchen prepared an incredible meal that is absolutely inspiring, and the front staff were delightfully jovial and endlessly helpful. It is an incredible restaurant and I recommend everyone to go experience a level of quality of food and service that is relatively unheard of across Canada.

Have been here numerous times over the years and never left disappointed. You are always greated with a smile and warm welcome from staff when coming in. Ladies serving the tables are polite and friendly. Last time it was Mila and she was wonderful. She has worked from the opening and can see why she is still around enjoying what she does. It was a pleasure to be served. Food is always delicious. Ramens are some of the best i ever had. Sushi is exquisite and taste very fresh. Some meals definitely fill you more per $ than others which is totally okay. Not all restaurants should make you filled up overboard. Bibimpap is my personal favorite. Korean food is just very unique and these guys make it in the best tradition of the country. Design has a great taste and open kitchen is cool, ability to smell some food even before getting to it (if sitting by the kitchen). The bar and the area around look beautiful. Thank you for all the times we enjoyed food and drinks here, would definitely be back!

Peter Schalm

Tasty food and great service! The menu is only one page, but all the choices looked good. The server was attentive, helpful, and recommend some dishes that were safe for my allergy (peanuts) and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Cocktails were fancy too! The atmosphere, quality, and price are upscale and Asian inspired.

Kai C

The food was delicious! And staff were attentive, friendly, and gave good recommendations. Definitely a place worth eating at! My mum and I enjoyed it very much and are looking forward to going back.

Kyler Nyhagen

We sat the bar as we didn't book a reservation in advance for a table, but ended up being an even better experience. Bartenders were excellent hosts and very entertaining to watch. The food was incredible, the drinks were stellar, overall it was one of my favorite dining experiences.

Jes Orban

As someone who has been to Sticks and Stones on many occasions, with lots of family members, I will say that based on what I saw on Facebook today, I won't ever be returning. As someone who has tested positive, recovered and is fully vaccinated, to hear that they turned someone away even though that had a negative COVID test, but wasn't fully vaccinated, I wont ever step foot in this establishment again. Shame on your Authoritarianism and Tyrannical methods to those who chose to not take the vaccine. History will not look back kindly on everyone encouraging this. I will proudly stand by those who have the right to chose what they put in their body. Shame on you Sticks and Stones

Nathan Galan

Amazing food! The OC roll was fresh and smooth tasting, the pork stem bun (more of a taco), was to die for, and the bibimbap was some of the best I've ever tried.

Melanie C

The Spicy Ramen is AMAZING! Sorry I ate it too fast to get a picture! All their sushi is delicious Tasty high quality drinks! Have nothing bad to say about this place

Anthony Pucci

The ambience was so nice however, the food wasn’t the best. The Takoyaki was burnt and the Shio Ramen soup lacks flavour. Not sure why the egg tastes sweet and the gyoza has a strong taste.Service was good.

We didn't have a reservation so we got sat at a bar and honestly I think it's even better than getting a table. Our server was extremely helpful, he explained the whole menu and gave a complimentary shot. I ordered shoyu ramen and it was the best ramen I've ever had. Amazing broth, full of flavour, so rich it was almost creamy. My only concern was the pork slice, which was rather big to eat with chopsticks. Smaller slices would be easier to eat. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Definitely coming back.

Les Klassen Hamm

Great food, ambience and service. Friendly staff. I would love to see some additions in their sushi menu.

April Cebedo Balagosa

Fantastic food, and really great staff. Waitress was good at leaving us alone while still always being there when we needed her. Bartender was professional, friendly, and quick to help people. Food was unreal. I highly recommend the pork steamed buns.

Terry Korte

Having tried lots of Korean food in my life, I can vouch for Sticks and Stones as one of the most interesting and delightful fusion I've ever had. Cozy yet lively atmosphere, incredible staff and top of the class taste experience with delectable presentation, what's there not to like? Big kudos to Chef Guggenheimer and team.

Curtis C

I can tell the quality of the sashimi isn’t bad, but it is not that fresh :( Hope there’ll be an improvement on that. Overall, I liked the food and satisfied with the service. I'm going back again to try out other food soon.

Dan

Great food, ambience and service. Friendly staff. I would love to see some additions in their sushi menu.Great food, atmosphere and service. A bit pricey for a brunch for two. But a great experience regardless. Ps, very clean washrooms, so important.

Ryan C

Price of the Korean fried chicken on Wednesdays is $7 for 3 pieces which is definitely worth it! Sushi was also reasonably priced and really delicious! The only reason I'm knocking a star off is I found it personally very noisy, as the area we were in was very open. Having some dividers or something would help a lot. Also, I found the Ramen to be just a couple dollars to expensive. Not a deal breaker by far, but $16-19 is about $2 more than I expected!

Jillian McDermid

This review will probably say more about me than Sticks and Stones. The service was excellent and most of the food was really good. The dessert was a waste of money in my opinion, we ordered both items, and I think you would be better served going elsewhere for dessert. What I didn't like about the restaurant is that there aren't any entres you can order but you're stuck ordering a bunch of random apetizers and sharing it with everyone at your table. This in turn inflates the cost of your meal and you may leave this place hungry. I think this restaurant is overpriced but i would go back if it made those around me happy.

Louie Parker

They're great at craft cocktails. The Dark and Stormy was very well done. Korean BBQ chicken had just enough kick to it for me. Nice to see walleye in a sushi roll... That was a first. Great service. Will return.

M Stone

Loved this place, was my first time eating here and it was awesome. I had the kimchi fried rice and kimbap which were amazing! I can not wait to go back. I would recommend this place to others.

Scott Larson

Sticks and stones is a great spot for ramen in the city. It is rare to find chicken karaage made traditionally - dusted with a layer of cornstarch and deep fried to create a crisp bite of dark meat that isn't overpowered by batter. The sauce with it is delicious although I think I prefer a spicy mayo. The fried chicken was crispy, flavourful and delicious. The ramen portions have been different each time I have gone. I would like to see this become more consistent. For the same price, most traditional ramen shops will do a free noodle refill (kae dama), and I would love to see this at this shop as well. The LA Kalbi ribs were well seasoned and delicious. The service has been excellent everytime I have gone. I have become a return customer and look forward to coming back.

Katie Salmers

I was disappointed. I got the Chicken Karaage which was delicious but it didn't come with anything besides the chicken, so I recommend adding a side. My husband got the LA Kalbi - which was delicious. My mother in law got the Korean fried chicken which did come with rice even though it wasn't listed. We also ordered sushi to start but it didn't come until most of us finished our entrees. Our server did let us know it was backed up, but not until after we got our other dishes. Wasn't an exceptional experience.

Hilary Hex

Excellent service & delicous food! Great atmosphere!

Tiffie Sou

Wonderfully delicious dishes and exceptionally creative cocktails! We enjoyed the bibimbap and spicy ramen with the signature yuzu and shiso daiquiri. It was amazing!

Amy Gill

Great Korean fried chicken! Surprised to see that menu in Saskatoon. Nicely decorated and love how they made all the Asian dishes available in such a stylish manner. Wednesday happy hour deals are fantastic value. Maybe slightly overpriced for what you get. But still great. The sashimi was a little disappointment, only because I'm comparing to other places where they do excellent sashimi.

Kyla Anderson

Great restaurant. The atmosphere is good laid back and chill. The food is really good. Its a mix of Japanese and Korean. There is a limited selection if you are a vegetarian but there are still options. They have good beer and cocktails. I suggest making a reservation they use open table it makes it very quick and easy. Staff are also awesome.

Thomas Richard Miles Boxall

A very nice little restaurant. The food was superb. The service was equally as good. Just an all-round excellent dining experience. The Korean Fried Chicken is wonderful.

Fraulin Faith McGratten

Beyond amazing quality food, and phenomenal service. Well priced for what you get. I'd suggest the steam buns and any roll that interests you.

james allen

Definitely eat here Great food, great service, the steamed buns are great, Miso Ramen also great. There wasn't anything we didnt love. The cocktails are also really lovely. Full flavour, beautiful appearance. Will definitely come back to eat when in town!

Xander Zhu

Delicious! We always leave happy when we eat at sticks and stones. There menu is limited, however everything on the menu is amazing! We had the pork belly steamed buns: UNREAL! You need to try them, they are a must have! We also had the chicken karaage, which was fantastic! The flavour was very authentic japanese, but the texture had a modern twist on it-- it was super crispy. As for the ramen, it was delicious. We had the shoyu ramen and spicy ramen. Both were fantastic, and the broth was superb. We could tell they used real bones to make their broth, and the pork that came with it was to die for. My only complaint was that the noodles were slightly soften than I care for-- not a big deal tho. Drink selection was great; there are so many fun cocktails and authentic asian spirits. A wonderful place to get eastern asian food.

Tara Kachroo

My wife and I came here for a date night and we had a fantastic experience. The service was quick and friendly. We have been here numerous times but I wanted to make sure I left a good review. Would recommend to my family and friends. We loved the pork buns! Shout out to Dale and his team! Thank you!

Lauren Dauvin

We are regulars at Sticks and always impressed by their consistent food quality and beyond friendly service. Sit at the bar for the best view of the restaurant, including all the cool drinks they make! I'm a strict vegetarian and they always go the extra mile for my meals. My personal favourite is the vegetarian ramen (ask for it spicy with extra mushrooms), bibimbap with tofu instead of bulgogi and the caterpillar roll (without fish roe).

Warren33

Sticks and Stones is a great restaurant for groups and couples. They have a great selection of Asian inspired dishes. My favourite are their steam buns. They are open face to allow for fresh ingredients and the sauce on top. You get two for $9. My favourite is the pork steam buns with a side of Gochujang. The beef ones are also good, but a bit spicy with the kimchi.

Kate Blackport

Sat at the bar, bartender was the best server ever had. Unfortunately the Bibimbap was awful. Next to no Bulgogi. Basically a bowl of rice, half of which was rock hard.

Fraser Small

Great food. Amazing sushi! The Korean fares were delicious, but the sushi was the star. Cocktails were interesting, but not to my taste. I found cocktails were a little pricey. Great vibes. Fun to go and share many dishes with a group. The ramen was great to share. Staff was helpful and great at recommending.

Crystal Fluevog

Just ok. We ordered the spicy salmon rules. They were definitely not spicy. We told the waitress and she just shrugged it off and said the kitchen must has forgot some sauce or something. I had the octopus fritters. They tasted ok but you would have a hard time to guess that there was any octopus. Ambiance is fine. But certainly a 3 at most!

Madison Heusdens

Good food but a little pricey. If you're hungry and looking to eat a lot expect to pay a lot. Portions are sharing size. But still one of the better places around for Japanese/Korean foods.

Edel Lopez

Walked in front doors and the experience begins :) We didn't have reservations (highly recommended) and had a choice between the Sushi Bar or the Cocktail Bar... we chose the latter.... The Bartender that took our order was very informative about the menu, was very accommodating with the fact our party of 4 was here to eat and not drink.. BTW Stunning display of very hard to find Japanese whiskey... We ordered Miso Ramen, Spicy Ramen, Pork Belly Plate, and Korean Fried Chicken with soya glaze... for dessert, the Cheesecake.. The flavors were outstanding, the plating was beautiful. I will be going back and try everything on the menu. Well worth it... $$$

NO KID'S MENU. I definitely would not try bringing my kid here. Otherwise we had a pretty great meal here -- other than the kimchi pancake which had no texture, and was quite bland. Octopus Tokoyaki was addictively delicious-- and a huge serving for 2 of us. Nice selection of no proof (virgin) cocktails.

Ashley Quick

Tried this place with some friends today and we ordered several items to share. Was very, very impressed by the atmosphere, friendly service, but most of all the high quality of food. Makes me miss Toronto a little less! I would recommend getting the steamed buns, the kimchi pancakes and the S&S fries. Oh and the Korean fried chicken is to die for! Would like to return to try the sushi and their cocktails.

Angie Kim

Great restaurant! Cool atmosphere, interesting decor and interior. The staff was awesome. They were super patient and checked in a couple times. Had a great chat with one of the servers, who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered 4 different dishes, all of which were delicious. The fusion and flavors are all awesome. Sure, it’s a bit pricey, but it is truly a great restaurant, with high quality food, people and atmosphere.

Christian Spana

I enjoyed my food it was really good. Steam buns were good but only two for the price and size wasn’t fair value. Ramen was tasty and really enjoyed it. Music is way to loud. We were in the back and I didn’t feel like I was able to have an enjoyable conversation since were so close to everyone all the tables are speaking loudly because of it.

British Broker

An eclectic and delicious menu. Attentive, knowledgeable staff and tasty dishes across the board! Don't miss; the grilled squid, Korean fried chicken and the mushroom tempura!

Ashley Noble

Was there yesterday, it was mediocre, got a sashimi plate, the salmon was mushy and torn up, and they served a raw scallop that stunk up the room, could smell it before she set the plate on the table.

A nice trendy restaurant. The food was very good, I had the ribeye rice bowl and it was very good. The prices were not outrageous which I was surprised by that. My wife said the sushi was very good. I wish they had a better beer selection, maybe a few more local craft brands instead of just great west. Very friendly staff and the place was clean.

Rhonda West

The atmosphere was lovely and music, although not quite fitting in with the cool sleek restaurant visually, made the environment feel fun and comfortable. We happened to be in when the fried chicken was 1/2 price! So of course we tried that. It was messy and delicious, I would 100% go there again just for that. The sushi was a toss up. The YXE roll tasted...off, but the hot and spicy roll was delicious. I probably wouldn't return just for sushi. That being said the people at the table next to us ordered ramen. It smelled amazing. That's what I'll be returning to try next time.

Looking for a nice date dinner to impress someone? That might cost you $104 for two people if your ordering alcohol as well. Sushi dishes are charged by plate but you pay for what you get. More product than rice. Wonderful sake, cold or served warm, wonderful items to choose from. Not a budget meal but a great place for a special occasion.

Went to Sticks and Stones on Sunday, 05 May 2019. I was greeted by the very friendly hostess who was very helpful with getting my experience off to a great start. Table Service: Once I was seated the server was immediately there to ask if I would like anything to drink. From that point on she was one of the most attendant servers I have had. Even though I only had water to drink she made sure my glass was always full and ensured we always had everything we needed. Menu: The menu is Korean based and has a great selection of soups, salads, bowls, and other options. Food quality: I had the spicy pork on rice and it was delicious. Great flavour and spice. I appreciated that the portion size was not excessive. Price: with tip included I paid $25.00 and I had a coffee at the end of the meal. The reasonable portion sizes help keep the price down. Overall the restaurant is wonderful and I will definitely return.

I used to love dining here and normally would give it 5 stars, however my recent visit wasn't super great. The menu was much smaller than usual and missing a lot of my favourites. The bao and mandu were the stars. The sushi was falling apart and honestly reminded me of all-you-can-eat places, it used to be amazing quality. The tuna tataki was really bland and just ok. We left hungry after paying $120. The entire experience was 30 minutes long. Really felt rushed which is odd since we had a reservation.

Awesome dinner!! Service was on point and food was exceptional! We shared a few plates, the chicken karaage was something I will crave and wish we had in Regina. The ramen was so flavourful and very filling. It hit the spot on a cool summer night. My husband had the bibimbap and said it was fantastic. Would visit this restaurant again and again. Don’t hesitate visiting!! And their precautions during COVID are on point as is the atmosphere! Thank you Grassroots Group!!

Susan Q

My wife and I would go here for all of our special occasions. The ramen was to die for; the broth was the most amazing part of that dish. During my wife's last visit, the broth has lost all quality and is just basically water. The dish is just noodles and water. Also be careful ordering the salads. Our friends salad was sliced grilled tomato with onion chive garnish; ~$1 of produce at restaurant price! I hope they try to restore the quality of their dishes.

Project zed

Had a blast, the server / bartender gave us a free shot and made for some great conversation. The place felt classy and welcoming, I was digging the looking of the place and the atmosphere I lost track of time and almost missed my movie. Lastly, the food was amazing, it's been 10 months since I was there and I still remember the spicy raman!

Lorene T

Real nice depth in the broth, miso forward. Nice salt balance. Really liked the slight bitter grilled cabbage on top, good contrast with the sweetness of the bean sprouts and scallions. Noodle was standard fresh issue factory stuff, but perfectly al dente. Half poached egg, nice and soft, and 2 slices of pork belly. beautiful

Kevin Ledding

Had a great meal here. Fast but friendly service. Sushi was fresh, lovely. Spicy ramen was nice and partner had some tasty gooey Korean fusion fried chicken. Beer selection could be much better. Will definitely go back.

B Smith

I absolutely loved the ramen with pork shoulder. Excellent cocktails, too. We will be back!

In fairness there seemed to be another table or two that was keeping the bar very busy. The food when it arrived was very good with the exception of the short ribs which were full of gristle. Were we residents of Saskatoon we would might return but most likely give preference to Ayden and Little Grouse and Avenue in Regina.

Keli Propp

We had received a gift card for this place and so went not quite knowing what to expect. Right off the bat the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and told us that the best way to experience the menu was to share a few dishes. So we ordered the spicy ramen, pork bao buns, spicy pork bowl, and hot and crispy yam sushi. Everything was amazing and so flavourful. My friend and I could not pick a favourite dish. We then finished off the meal with the sesame cheesecake which was so different and delicious. Overall this evening out was an awesome culinary experience. Highly recommend

Zoya Bm

My wife and I recently took to sticks and stones for a date night. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The menu was fully digital - although paper copies were available if requested. Covid protocols were being very strictly followed and that was impressive. The food was excellent and I highly recommend anything off the "Rolls" part of the menu. The place has a great vibe and isn't too loud to hold a conversation. 5 stars - will definitely return.

Aamir Patel

5/5! This place is beautiful, peaceful, and the food is Sooooo Gooooddd! The flavors are amazing and a first class service and really really affordable! I was expecting sone very fancy expensive prices but not at all. I highly recommend this place for a nice supper with your partner or family although I see it more for two peoples because is very cozy and intimate even when the tables are close one time the other.

allison wilson

Delicious food. The sushi was excellent and had decent variety. The prices were high for the portion size. And the menu had odd portion sizes to encourage people to mix and match different dishes. I found most were large for appetizers but too small to be an entree.

Haaj Ahmed

I have never had a bad experience at this place! The staff are absolutely incredible; they are all professional, friendly, and will make your evening an absolute joy. The food is great as well. I have just about tried everything on the menu and I wouldn't say there is one dish that falls below anyone's standard. The cocktails are also well crafted and unique!

Juste Gerein

Bar selection and drink menu unique and worth a visit all on its own; House Manhattan/Old Fashion recommended.. I loved the decor (Try to spot the Miyazaki Easter eggs) Japanese Korean fare we selfishly devoured before even considering to take a picture of the artfully crafted dishes. Stuffed ourselves Spirited Away style. Staff is amazingly efficent, lovely and, gifted at what they do. Won't disappoint. 3-4star prices. May 31st special one night only drink menu w hefty proceeds going to local charity.

Brendan D

I do a lot of traveling for my job and I'm always looking for a place with great food, great service and a great atmosphere. This place has all three. First of all, the food.... Delicious. You like Ramen? Go here. Even better than the ramen though was the pork belly steamed buns. I could eat 100 of those little guys. Absolutely delicious. Next, the atmosphere. It's a very clean, little restaurant. I love the fact that I can see the cooks prepare the food. It's like a show as well. And finally, the service. I can't remember my waitress's name but she was outstanding. As soon as I sat down, my water cup was filled. I also ordered a diet coke as well. Before I finished drinking it, she had another one on the table. When I asked for the bill, it didn't take 5 minutes. Just a very friendly, professional waitress who was very attentive to the customer. I will definitely be coming back next time im in town.

Brigliador Auger

An fun, vibrant place to experience Japanese-Korean fusion cuisine. I have enjoyed four visits to this restaurant since it opened. I have not had a dish that I did not love. The only downside is its popularity which makes it difficult for spontaneous visits. However, you can use the online booking system to reserve a table and start enjoying their delicious food!

Becca Bidwell Dryden

This is one of my favourite restaurants! Love the vibe in the restaurant, the servers are all super friendly with great service, and the food. The food is always amazing! I have tried a lot on their menu and have really enjoyed it all! Would really recommend for either an intimate date night or to go with a group of friends to share.

Hikaru Shindou

Loved the spicy fried rice and fried chicken and sushi! Great place for a unique and fancy cocktail!

Puck Zero

Excellent and surprising flavours, unique cocktails, and a great server.

matt mattyo1000

Good service, delicious drinks. They really care about what you think about the food and will go the extra mile to ensure your experience is excellent.

Solongo Lewis

Very enjoyable. The menu was a little daunting for our first visit, but once we caught on, it was fun to explore and sample numerous dishes. It is a bit of a loud environment, so not ideal for an intimate dinner, but for a casual dinner it really is nice. The quality of food was good, there was ample variety in the menu, and the price was fair. I look forward to my next visit, as I hear the Korean Fried Chicken is a must, and I missed out on it the last time.

Ashley Burke

Great selection of food options. Ordered the Korean Fried Chicken and it was terrific with crispy skin and a tasty sauce on it. Also had the Spicy Ramen and it was good, second best ramen I had in the city.

Gary Huang

Delicious ramen, cozy place and great service. The soup base of the ramen is superb and not too salty. Definitely is a great place for a quick lunch or supper.

Steve D

Before I went here, I thought it was just another sushi place that had been hyped up. Believe the hype. Not only is the food delicious, but it is interesting and even fun! If you're afraid to try something new, you definitely need to come here. Our waitress was our expert guide and her recommendations were spot on. She seemed to know when we were looking for guidance and was there to save us, like when she warned us that the extra sauce with the bibimbap was extra spicy. Excellent experience, highly recommend.

Alissa Klassen

I loved this place. we sit on the bar, and staffs were so nice. They almost refilled the water so quick like just after I had one sip. Food was definitely delicious, good amount and drink was good as well. Atmosphere is dark and cozy. Not a typical Asian restaurant.

Andrew Krahn

Mandated a non-legislated policy which infringes on the rights of Canadian humans. Not even a covid 19 negative test… good luck.

Shan

The location of this place is great (heart of downtown). The atmosphere and decor was simple yet stunning. The staff were extremely helpful. We sat at the bar, and the woman who served us was also the bartender. She was extremely informative, genuinely friendly, and enjoyed what she was doing. We came in for a small bite and shared the Korean chicken and the pork belly. Both were presented beautifully and the flavour equally matched the appearance. My new favourite in Saskatoon.

Andrew Swan

Had a lovely dinner here with friends. We shared dishes mostly. Best things we had were the squid, bulgogi steamed buns and the chicken karaage. But everything was good. Good cocktails too.

Loved it. Excellent customer service. Food was great. Ambience is also nice.

Cleveland Sciallo

Very cool place! Food was great and atmosphere was very trendy. Our waitress was awesome and the octopus fritters were amazing!

Nicole Park

Ordered the bibimbap this evening. Dish looked nice and flavours were good but it lacked in protein and no egg on top as was described to me by the server. Seems expensive for really just a bowl of rice. Would not go back or recommend to my fellow airline crews. Sorry, but it's a pass for futur visits.

Conrad

Cool atmosphere, great food. Definitely saw more things on the menu I'd like to try. The service was attentive and thorough, but a bit rushed. Food came fast and we were given the credit card machine with a full beer left.

Mike Taylor

I found the restaurant following the comments and the google map ranking. I intended to taste different ramen in the city, but I didn't find what I expected. I can say it was good but not authentic. My next comment is about the famous Japanese Takoyaki (Osaka star). It was not good at all. The texture was uncooked, and it included small pieces of octopus. So, I can say it was nothing Japanese. I've been in Japan and Korea many times, and I like to compare Japanese and Korea dishes around the world. This restaurant was not what I expected.

Lloyd Dalziel

The food was great but the service was sadly terrible. This restaurant charged 18% services fee atomically when you have 6 or more guests for one table. Here is the problem, this restaurant is not capable to fit 6 or more people in one table. All my friends were squeezed to fit in one of their tiny table booth. It was my worst experience ever to eat food that I had no space to comfortably do so, I'd rather order take out and enjoy at our hotel. And again as my previous experience, restaurant that auto charge their customers 18% always perform poorly in their services, especially when their waitress/waiter is expecting their "guaranteed" tips. We had no problem giving tips, but the services was not at a restaurant standard at all. Takeout will certainly a better way to go. My question to the owner and restaurant is that, what is this 18% service charge going to, when you did not perform a "good" customer service?

Dave C

The atmosphere is super relaxing and they were really accommodating in making all our meals vegetarian. Loved the veggie ramen (with some spice added to it) and the 3 kimchi side. Our waiter, who I believe was named Jack, always had a smile on his face! Definitely coming back here.

John Bradley

I enjoyed my time at Sticks & Stones but it’s expensive for what you get. The atmosphere was nice, the restaurant is cozy, service was excellent, drinks were good and the food was pretty good (everything was yummy, 4/5 stars for taste). The major downfall was the price. Our initial impression was that the prices seemed fair, but when the food began arriving the portion sizes were very small. We started with 4 dishes to share, and ended up ordering 3 more dishes and a dessert. We were celebrating my birthday, so a $200 bill for 2 of us (included 4 drinks) was okay, but I wouldn’t go back anytime soon.

Matt Hiebert

Lovely service, and seriously the best ramen in the city. Fresh ginger, great wasabi and well done sushi rolls. Also the most delicious and perfect sticky buns! Delicious! Already looking forward to getting back.

Brandon Irvine

Visiting from Toronto and absolutely LOVED it. Good ramen. Perfect plating. Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Raquel Ramirez

Loved our meal at Sticks and Stones. We created a bit of a challenge for our server by requesting no gluten/dairy for our meal. Her recommendations were spot on. We shared two dishes as well as their signature sushi roll (modified to our diet). Our food was excellent, as well as the service. Would definitely return. Great job Sticks and Stones.

Meagan Haarstad

Excellent customer service! It was very unique and delicious. The Creations (beverages) were super yummy. I love the concept of the bar being at the back of the restaurant near the restrooms.

Reinhard Drynan

Absolutely phenomenal service and food! We went for lunch and never had to wait a minute for refill on water. The lunch box special was a great mix of different foods all in good portions but not leaving you stuffed at the end. Atmosphere was really cozy and well decorated. I could see it getting a bit loud if the restaurant was totally full but it was fine when we were there. Cost was surprisingly reasonable for what I'd consider a very upscale restaurant.

Ordered my favorite Shio Ramen but unfortunately, it doesn't taste good like before. It literally tastes like water with noodles. I asked the server if they changed the chefs. She said, the changed the broth of the Ramen (which is really odd, as the original broth they have is 1000x better) my Friend ordered the salad on special, it's literally slices of tomatoes with sprinkle of greens onions as garnish ????. At that point, I don't know if I should get upset or laugh. This really makes me sad as this is my all time favorite ramen. I even tasted it trice as I cannot believe that's the ramen I used to loved. I work in hospitality industry and I ALWAYS highly recommended this restaurant to all our guests and clients. But i don't know if I do the same thing because of this. The only reason I'm rating it 3 2 star, because of your amazing server. She feels sorry about my experience.

Quality has slipped since opening, prices have remained the same. The ramen is tasty. The KFC is flavorful, but definitely not worth $20. Short ribs were among the toughest and chewiest beef I have had at a restaurant. The steam buns are disappointingly small and lackluster. The servers are charming and attentive, but almost too eager given the small space they have. Limited seating, had to sit at the bar even before the dinner rush, which has incredibly uncomfortable backless stools. Not great if you plan on staying for more than one drink. Cocktails are well made, and should be given the cost. Beer selection is limited and are served in what appeared to be sleeves (much smaller than a pint).

We ordered three dishes, sushi / fried chicken/ bibimbap. Salmon is river salmon, taste at least a while. Chicken is good at first bite, but a little bitter taste after. Bibimbap normal, worth 1/3 of money. Btw, the soy is not sushi soy, the bowl did not come with spoon, I have to ask. Not a pleasure experience, especially considering the price.

Craving a bowl of ramen so stopped in to feed that craving. I got a bowl of shio ramen with extra noodles and mushrooms. Noodles were fantastic nice bite to them very tasty and you get a lot of them. The broth was good but tasted more like shoyu, soy based, than shio, salt based, but they might have given me wrong broth base. Not a bad ramen place.

Loved the service. The food was good but a bit on the pricier side. Lots of vegetarian options available!
