I would say the best sushi in town; I usually come here around lunch time and order one of the sushi lunch specials. Taste, quality and presentation top notch.

Do not order through foodex. My order sat at the restaurant for an hour and a half before the driver showed up. Sushi was still good but soggy by the time it got here. It took a total of 2.5 hours after I ordered. Next time I order it'll be from somewhere else. Or if I do order again, I'll phone them directly and order. Foodex said they will refund me my money. We'll see if it shows up.

I've been to Japan twice (I'm not claiming to be an expert) and the meal I had here was the closest thing I've had to being back in Japan! The portion size for the lunch special A(4 piece sashimi, 4 nigiri) is HUGE and its superior in quality. The presentation was beautiful as well. We had the chicken karaage, rare beef, and tempura as well and they were all superb. I highly recommend the chicken karaage if you don't like fish. It was the best I've had including the ones I've had in Japan. I will most definitely return here and I highly recommend you do too! Edit: I apoligize for how these picture have been uploaded. I've tried multiple times to re-upload them, but google is turning them into weird VR-hybrid images ????

I was excited to try Sushi Raku as it was highly recommended to me by a friend. It did not disappoint! Decor is very nice, atmosphere is calm and pleasant. There are plenty of booth style seating as well as table/chair seating. I found it extremely clean and organized. Staff is welcoming and friendly. I visited the restaurant at 2pm and ordered one of the 3 lunch specials. It included miso soup, tempura vegetables/shrimp and choice of roll for $15 which is very reasonable in my opinion. I opted for the green tea for my beverage. I do believe it is a licensed establishment in case you wanted something stronger than tea. It was filling and delicious. Highly recommend.

First time here. The atmosphere is fantastic. Small and quiet. The staff is extremely polite. Everyone including the two masters creating the sushi said thank you on the way out. Great sushi and perfect service. If you have a chance to try the salmon you definitely should, some of the best salmon I've had in Saskatoon. Very reasonable and very nice wait staff. Only issue I had was with the music, it didn't exactly fit the theme of the restaurant. First 2 times I went they we're playing popular rap, and the third it was country music. Besides the music it's got a great vibe and great food. Best sushi in Saskatoon without a doubt.

BEST SUSHI IN SASKATOON! Finally, a great sushi place in the city. Traditional sushi rolls but they also have some creative rolls where they've put their own spin on things. The prices might seem high but the rolls are huge! They also have a large selection of vegetarian rolls. You also get green tea with your meal and frozen grapes for dessert (a nice touch). The service was great and the staff was very friendly. If you want real sushi, this is the place!

The food is excellent, service was very good. It was very quiet on a rainy Saturday, we had the place to our selves for some time. We had tuna sashimi, dynamite roll, prawn & veggie tempura, special roll #14, and a tuna Bento bowl. All was yummy except roll #14 is suppose to have grilled tuna in it and I don't remember tasting that. The tea and miso soup was also very good. I will be back!

Ok so i was in town for work and decided to find a place to eat ????????. While searching google i found this place . So i ordered a sashimi plate thinking it was a portion for one person. Being 2000km away from the ocean you would not expect to get decent sushi however this place is the exception. The staff is excellent and the food is great, the only thing keeping it from 5 stars is if you choose to sit inside the music is a bit loud, aside from that, absolutely excellent, well above average for the price!

I also have nothing but good things to say about the seared tuna tataki (you won't regret giving it a try). I'm glad to see that Saskatoon is getting new sushi places with high-quality food.

Visited this place to try out their sushi and they were great! I had the Sunshine Roll and a few more selections. The taste was great and their service was prompt and pleasant. Make sure you make a reservation as it can be pretty full especially on their busy nights. Overall, the price point was not too bad and the experience was awesome.

I am over the moon to have such first-rate sushi in Saskatoon! The owner and staff are beyond excellent - incredibly gracious and professional and friendly. The thick-cut, ultra-fresh sashimi is the best I've ever had in any city, anywhere. The last time we were there, we ordered the assorted sashimi; they must have been out of the sockeye and the tuna, because instead they substituted the more expensive hamachi!! We were thrilled, what a generous thing to do instead of just begging off that item and saying that all their fish orders did not come in. The sake is cheap, and the green tea is free-flowing ... Raku is pure class :)

First off great food, great service, great atmosphere. The food is top notch (tempura yummm)and the sushi is divine (Toro *drool*). Also *very* fast! Servers were nice, polite and tended to us exactly when we needed it. Chefs and servers thanked us as we left which was fantastic! We had the california combo and the dinamyte combo, and the chicken (kind of breaded fried as an appetizer) We highly recomend the place. Also as it was our first time there the server gave us good recommendations. If you are in Saskatoon you can go and have some sushi there. Recommended.

It had been more than 2 years since I last visited and I remember them being way better. Service was poor - had to ask for things like soy sauce and chop sticks. Sushi rice was soggy. Portion for spicy salmon sashimi was very small for the price. Way too much mayo sauce on the pressed sushi. I will not be returning.

I use to love this place and I went every month until my last experience. I ordered salmon lover like I always do. and it was brought to me and I took half of bite out of it and it was pure spicy and I can’t do spice. So i had talked to the waiter and asked him like are you sure this is Salmon lover as I showed him the receipt from the last order I gotten when i was last there an even a picture that I took because I loved it so much. And I tried explaining to him it has never had spice to it and I would never order anything that would because I can’t do spice. He came back to me and said oh no this is what they’ve always done and I’m like sadly that’s not true As I once again explained to him what I’ve always gotten every time I come here, hence why I’ve kept the receipt because it was just easier to remember and give the waiter the receipt then look at the menu and figure out what I had ordered. At this point I was kind of just disappointed and very let down by a sushi place that I loved no longer is in the loving category. They didn’t even offer to make it new or to take it off the bill. Let alone an apology. So had to pay for food I never even ate or never even ordered.

The staff literally drove us out of the restaurant! We had called in to check if they had a table for 6 as we had a 6 week old baby with us. It seemed a light evening and we were told that they can sit us the moment we walk in. We reach there in about 30 mins. The staff at the entrance literally tells us that they were out of rice and someone is out to buy rice and it will take 30-45 mins before we can place orders for Sushi. We check if we can start off with some drinks and other appetisers. They say but it might even take over an hour to get the Sushi. We still agreed and requested to be seated. One of the chefs was upset about it as it would be past the time for last order. They literally asked us to leave. No apologies no regrets from the staff whatsoever. This surely wasn’t Japanese Hospitality in Saskatoon! Truly disappointed with the experience!

I wish I could write a positive review of this place. We sat down just after noon, waited 30, maybe 35 minutes and didn't even get a menu, then we left. They were busy, so I understand it's difficult to serve all your customers in a timely manner, but other people had sat down after us and had received some service. I may go back and actually see if I can get some of the food, because the reviews are good. But I'll wait for the kinks to be ironed out first.

A pretty dang decent sushi joint! Everything was pretty good and tasty. The takoyaki was wonderful and perfectly cooked. The deep fried ice cream was delicious, but naturally so, the fried batter got soggy pretty quickly. My only disappointment was that they didn't use ramen noodles in the ramen.

Was looking for a quick supper, the mall across the street just closed. Oh maaaaaan! Guess I gotta try something out, see Sushi Raku, and I have heard good things. try it out? I guess so! Okay, so I decide to go with something I am unfamiliar with but have been wanting to try for a long time: cold soba, and something I am very familiar with: unagi nigiri. The cold soba was amazing, I am absolutely floored, I am going to probably have that again this week. And the unagi was pretty good too, although I have had that so much, I moslty notice when I don't like it and it was fine. I recommend, and I recommend the vegetrarian cold soba!

First of all the food is outstanding. If you go for the food alone you will leave satisfied, but the really cherry on top is the staff and how amazing they are. You can tell that it’s a great environment to work in and that makes me happy to support them. When I call they know me by name and tonight when I tired to order delivery the lovely girl on the phone got through my whole order before she realized there delivery driver called in that day. She apologized and directed me to a delivery service FOODEX they use which was easy too use and the delivery driver was a sweetheart. Then I found that they had tossed in an order of Sakura for free with my meal. This is and will remain my go to sushi place!

So the sashimi was definitely better than most of the other places in Saskatoon but I wasn’t big on the cost, 10 pieces was $22. Maybe I’m just comparing prices from other cities. Either way with just the two items we ordered below plus miso soup (which was luke warm), I paid $45. We were hungry when we left. Also not sure what was going on with the soy sauce but it was really salty (just like Otowa when it was in Saskatoon). The size of the sashimi was what saved the night.

Seriously this place is not recommended. I don't understand why people all gave it 5 stars. The tonkotsu ramen I ordered doesn't taste like ramen at all. The 3 pieces tonkotsu are too much greasy and chewy. The soup tastes bad too. I don't know why they even put bean sprouts in the ramen which makes the flavour even worse. My friends ordered sushi rolls and they said they were pricy and quality of the rolls weren't worth for the price.

The place is so nice and clean, I love that you can see the chefs preparing your food. The portions are surprisingly reasonable! For such a diverse menu they have really good food. The dynamite rolls are a bit large but they're cut thin enough you can still eat it in one bite. I'm also really surprised with the sashimi sizes as well, I got a double order of the salmon expecting a small small plate but instead it was the perfect amount. The bento boxes are super cute and surprisingly filling. All in all, the food and atmosphere is great.

Five stars are not enough. Head and shoulders above any other sushi in town. Even the California and Dynamite rolls were fantastic- we were impressed by every part of our meal. Came here for our 4th year anniversary and was very impressed. Great presentation and the food was amazing! First time to visit the restaurant and they did not disappoint. My wife and I ordered the Chicken Bento Box, Terry Katsu, BBQ Spicy Tuna Roll,Unagi Roll, and Crispy Salmon Roll. (Probably more than we needed) The BBQ Spicy Tuna Roll was my favourite as it actually had some kick with the Spicy side. The crispy salmon Roll was bigger than expected and probably need to eat each piece in two bites. (Still very delicious with the crispy skin). Unagi Roll had great flavour and all rolls were made well. Terry katsu had a unique flakey fish skin (super cool how light it was and looked like it was moving because how light it was) drizzled on top with the katsu sauce at the bottom of the plate that you can dip too. They place the pork katsu on a small rack so it's not swimming in the sauce and you can dip as you please. (Great idea) We were absolutely filled and would highly recommend this place. They run a top notch sushi restaurant with a great variety of items and good service! My wife and I will definitely return again.

My wife and I stopped by here for supper one day. It was astoundingly delicious. The prices seemed higher at first but the portion sizes reflected them well. A good amount of great food with cheerful staff is a great experience. We definitely recommend this place.

We were craving for sushi, so we gave this place a try. Everything was so delicious. We got Tai Ceviche (red snapper), Chicken Kara-age, Oyster motoyaki, Raku Signiture roll, and spicy salmon roll. The chicken and sushi rolls were ok to us but Tai Ceviche and Oyster were extremely amazing. The Red Snapper tasted so fresh and the sauce with that was so yummy. Oysters baked in oven were literally melt in your mouth. We will go back to try more items for sure and highly recomended!!!

Definitely the best sushi restaurant and one of the must visit restaurants in Saskatoon. My family and I had a very good time. The food was very good, very tasty. Everything was made fresh to order. We started with miso soup and some sashimi. Raku Signature Roll and ramen were wonderful. Very authentic. Service was amazing. Being very attentive to our every need and quick to respond to any request we had. LOVED the free dish (Raku orange and grilled fish) too from chef Jason. Will certainly come back.

Sushi Raku is the most authentic Japanese dining experience in Saskatoon. I haven't eaten anything this good since I lived in Vancouver and I resided there for 7 years before moving to Saskatoon. Their signature rolls are so delicious and their salmon sashimi is the nicest cuts and basically melts in your mouth. The price is a little high for the Saskatoon standard but trust me that you are paying for quality and you won't be disappointed.

This is the first time visiting this place, and our main server was very friendly, courteous and patient with us. It is a tad pricier, but along with that you do get quality with what they serve. Tried out four different sushi roll this time, all am pretty with. Hands down, of the four - Red Dragon Roll hit all the right taste buds (Sunshine, Las Vegas, BBQ Tuna & Red Dragon) Will definitely come back and try the Bento Box myself, my fiance ordered that and he said it was amazing.

Absolutely the best sushi place in Saskatoon, I'm never going anywhere else. I've had both dine in and take out and it's all around great! Clean and quiet restaurant, awesome and quick customer service, super nice employees... Same thing for take out orders, the people are always super nice and happy to take your order over the phone. The sushi and sashimi is amazing and authentic, fresh, and big pieces of fish - I feel like most other places give such tiny pieces and not fresh at all. I like how simple the rolls are, not overly soaked in mayo. Usually we'll eat sushi once every couple of months but since trying this place, I could definitely eat it once a week lol.

Hands down best sushi place, me and onyx go to it every week. (hi jason) I recommend night hunter roll and regular chicken karage as its our favourite. You can taste the freshness and high quality in the salmon and tuna. I’ve personally seen Jason cut and filet the fish as a whole in his kitchen. Everything is consistent in taste. I enjoy that Jason garnishes the plates with various vegetables that are spiralled which makes it easier to eat. The sauces are very delicious.

Food was served quickly and tasted great! We had the Galbi Bento (pictured) and beef Teriyaki Bento. They were both delicious and had large portions. The presention was immaculate almost to pretty to eat haha. Miso soup that came with the Bento was also good! Definitely a recommended stop.

Their service is exceptional. My wife and I were welcomed in with a smile and escorted to a table while the chefs prepared our take-out order. While waiting, we were provided with complimentary tea, which was especially welcoming given the chilly weather outside. The sushi was tasty and delicious. In my opinion, this is the best sushi stop in Saskatoon. Menu is rich in options for Japanese kitchen. We typically go for Special sushi and never got disappointed. This time we tried Takoyaki for an appetizer and it was excellent. Staff has always been friendly. Nice to have a pation for an option. Whenever feeling like sushi, never think twice. This is the place to go!

They serve yummy food. Although, when we ordered food for pick up so we can have a picnic at the park they ddnt give us any cutlery, not even chopsticks! I was a bit disappointed. Imagine eating your lunch at a park without any utensils? We even have tips for pick up order but kinda regret it.
