Heard about Rawhides on Fox FM. We were passing thru on our way to Canora from Swan River and stopped in. What a cute restaurant! It was packed. Food was awesome. Loved the decor. The tin ceiling was cool. Definitely worth the drive.

After all the hype, we were very unimpressed. We booked a week in advance and they failed to tell us that they were having a HUGE car show the day of our reso. When we got there, 3/4 of the menu was sold out when we arrived, they messed up several orders, and I don’t think we will be returning. It’s too bad as the venue is super cool in a town that really benefits from having such a place.

A hidden gem in Saskatchewan. Very awesome looking place and would love to go back. Was a great setup for a gathering, in this case a wedding and was great having camp grounds right behind. Only complaint was during the dinner of the wedding the staff didn't keep dibs on the food of the buffet so some folk didn't get certain items unless they went back to the line later when the food had finally be restocked

You have to pinch yourself to believe this place is in the middle of nowhere in a tiny hamlet probably less than 100 people. It is huge and so quaint! Great ribs and our server was fantastic! Highly recommended!

Ate here in the summer when on a daily discover Sask road tour in July. Food (had the steak)and service were excellent. Little off any main highway but worth it. Loved the atmosphere and the western look. Would be great for large groups as well. Will definitely try and make it here again.

We've been coming here for years and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere but yesterday made me change my opinion on Rawhides. 4 of us stopped in for lunch after a round of golf at Crystal Lake. I had the blackend miso ramen ????the menu said blackened chicken, shitake mushrooms, ramen noodles and miso broth. The chicken was not blackened merely overcooked, no shitake mushrooms just soggly white mushrooms again overcooked. My wife ordered the blackend chicken caesar salad, again not blackened just overcooked. The other couple shared some appys, dried ribs, calamari and fries. The calamari wasn't very good. All in all a disappointing meal from what we had previously experienced. We will visit again and give them another chance, let's hope it's better.

The food tastes food but the kitchen is horrible I worked there for 8 months the people who are cooking pick there noses, touch their hair, don't wear hair nets unless there hair is very long, touch there clothes and don't wash there hands after doing any of these things

This place is fantastic! The food, the theme, the friendly staff and atmosphere. Its always great whenever I have dined in this restaurant. The food is always delicious and served with a good quantity of fries and veg. The staff are always kind and friendly and eager to please. The style of the place is wonderfully decorated with a western theme. Over the past couple of years they have expanded their structure with an event room and a large patio for BBQ. Expect a big bill of course as this is a high profile restaurant that is worth its price tag. Maybe the price comes not only from the food but the drinks that will be piling in as you will have a good time! Love their steaks. I always go home with a pizza. Their wings are delicious but they can skimp on the sauce a little. That's not an issue though. Just make sure you ask for extra sauce and you get it at no extra cost. They have events happening regular. Just check their facebook page or website and see what's in store ????

We were really looking forward to going to Rawhides after hearing really good things about it. The place looks amazing and the atmosphere really fit the vibe the place is going for. When we got there it seemed very disorganized, they didn't even having any cutlery and it was dinner time and not overly busy. We didn't really seem to have one server as we had about 4 different people help us at different times. The food was meh. The porkchops were really dry. The steak was good but not as excellent as we were expecting for a place that looked like they should excel at cooking meat. The food also came way too quick for having to cook meat, I expect to wait 20 minutes minimum but it came in less than five which was a bit unnerving. Overall it was a very underwhelming experience, but I'd be willing to give it another chance if I were in the area.

Has been a favorite place over the past two years... friends went last week and said the quality has dropped, we decided to go last night and see ourselves. It is sadly true, steak was gristly, ribs were premade and could tell sat for awhile. Flavour was ok but nowhere near what I come to expect. Service was slow considering amount of people there, no refills on drinks. $100 + tip for a meal for two , we drove an hour, and it's just ok? Would have been better off at Browns in Yorkton. Will not be back unfortunately.

We showed up at 4 pm on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The hostess was very friendly after that it went downhill. Our waitress was not friendly and horrible at her job. My salad, which I paid an extra $10 for came at the same time as my husband’s steak. Then my pasta was brought out immediately after. The “signature “ Caesar salad was wilted and had barely any dressing on. My pasta was dried out from sitting under the warmer. To make matters worse we had to ask for cutlery. And the garlic toast that she made such a big deal about didn’t make it to the table until we asked another waitress for it. Needless to say we won’t be back.

Horrible food and service. Thought we would give this place a second chance after how rude they were the first time but definitely won't be back. Gave them my mask exemption today and got a snarky remark about it, but they honoured it. The fries for the burger my partner had were cold and the gravy was disgusting. I had the bison jalapeno burger which was basic, bland and nothing special. A&W is 10x better. No one came to clear our plates or give us the bill or ask if we wanted desserts or more to drink. We left thirsty and hungry.

This is an absolute must stop . Qualified chef on staff with a very large menu and very reasonable prices. Excellent staff and service. An old school house that has been renovated with a huge addition added on. Luve entertainment brought in many times of the year. Sand volleyball court horseshoe pits playground structure for kids and a large area to park campers.

We were there for Valentine's dinner and entertainment. The entertainment was horrible, was like listening to karaoke night. and the menu only gave u a choice of like 3 or 4 meals, that was very exspensive. If we would have known it would be like that, we would have sat on the none entertainment side and had a much better selection.

33rd Wedding Anniversary We made reservations and went to Rawhides for our anniversary and i must say i and the entire group was very disappointed.. Our waitress was Yasmin Audrey and she did not care at all about our concerns.. I ordered Teriyaki Bowl with minimal sauce and received my bowl swimming in sauce, It was so very sweet I could not eat it.. My granddaughter ordered wings which were very fatty and small. My husband and son ordered Steak and Shrimp Risotto--they did not receive steak it was shaved roast beef--for 30 dollars a plate (was maybe 2 ounces of meat) .. I asked the waitress if that is steak and she said of course it is.. The risotto was rice with mushroom soup over top of it.. And my grandson had the kids burger and fries and lets just say it was the worst burger I ever saw and he never ate it.. People from other tables were returning their steaks as the orders were all wrong.. People were complaining all evening... We drove 1 hour to eat and what a disappointment.. My kids came from all over to enjoy the meal with us and it was not so.. 198.00 and 3/4 of the food was left ---not an apology.. We waited over an hour for our food.

Amazing hidden gem. Very accommodating, they allowed us to order off the supper menu even though it was lunch menu time. We were hungry, looking for something a little more substantial than burgers. We had their amazing 12 oz Ribeye which was perfectly cooked. After eating we walked around the place. The decor is awesome. Perfect little details. This is a destination place, worth the trip. It would be great for weddings or gatherings.

Nice restaurant to experience in such a small community. But the food is average, service is painfully slow and prices are at almost Keg levels. But since they have no competition "in the area" we will go back. But we are going alot less than we used to.

Impressive restaurant in rural north east Saskatchewan

Went there Sunday noon. We had burgers and noodle dish. Both very good. Unfortunately their breakfast menu stops at 11:00 a m. (which was why we went there) I can understand that on weekdays but on Sunday it would be nice to extend it into brunch hours.

Great food and a cool atmosphere. They have comedians outdoors by the fire in summer and a large event centre. If you want to come here and drink all night you can bring your camper and stay the night.

A bit disappointed with my visit. The location is charming. The old school turned restaurant is an excellent idea for the owners and the village community. I don't mind the pretend cowboy atmosphere. I do however object to an overcooked steak. I ask for rare steak. What I got was well done overcooked steak. The vegetables were almost raw. That is unacceptable in a steak restaurant. I pointed this out to the young waitress, she shrugged and walked away. Very disappointing.

Saw this restaurant featured on a local news broadcast 3 years ago and it has been on my "To Visit List" since. We drove out from Regina with friends yesterday and weren't disappointed. The restaurant has great character when you walk in, excellent service and a good food selection. Our meals arrived quickly and were hot and tasty. After lunch we toured the place - it is huge - looked at the local art work on display and their tuck shop. The facilities are well maintained (bathrooms are clean which is always good sign), excellent outdoor patio, beach volley ball courts and tons of parking. It would be a great place to visit when they have live entertainment. I recommend taking the time to drive to Stenen to pay a visit.
