Crab & shrimp cake turned into eggs benedict. I travel 10/12 months for work all over Canada. I frequent eggs benedict for weekend brunches. This is the best eggs benedict I have ever had. (Second best is Hello Toast in Kamloops, BC.) You have to try this crab shrimp cake eggs benedict. Absolutely divine. It's a symphony of every flavour and texture; height of classy brunch. Staff were also very pleasant and friendly. Cannot wait to come back.
The staff are friendly and professional. We were sited right away but we had to wait more than half an hour to eat. My egg Benedict was cold and I didn’t realize that it doesn’t come with hash brown. The coffee was good but the cup was small and they charge $2 for refill. It get quit noisy when they grind coffee so not a very pleasant experience.
Would definitely recommend ???? ???? Nice and cozy little place with great and friendly service ???? If I lived in Saskatoon I would go there quite often. My omelet was excellent and there is a lot of other good looking items on the menu.
So yummy. Hubby and I went and shared the eggs benedict on crab cakes and the cinnamon bun french toast. We we're stuffed! Didn't save even a bite. Service was great too, friendly, helpful staff.
I've been coming here for over 10 years I love the food and ambiance. Food is always on point tastes really good, appropriate portions and for my melinial and gen z's picturesque. Must try Pecan & Maple Syrup Bacon Roll Ups. Sooooo good! Okay normally I would take a picture of the food before devouring it but I was so excited for my food it's not until I've already ate the delicious mushrooms and bree omelet that I remembered to take a picture
Good food but terrible waitresses and service! Very very disappointed by the dismissive and unfriendly staff. Shocked as this place came highly recommended. Won't be going back.
Stylish and sophisticated breakfast options that are totally worth spending money on. Service has always been good and currently working with strict safety standards to keep customers feeling safe. My favorite is the Breakfast Plate because you can mix it up with many options.
Brunch
This was my first time in Saskatoon , the receptionist at my hotel recommended this pace to eat , as it was close by and worth eating. The coffee , Latte and breakfast sections from the menus are all worth trying and hard to make a decision . No matter what you may select it will be worth it. The combinations of spices , herbs Along with a flair to kick up traditional eggs in any style or mouth watering full of food flavours . This place can be busy during peaks hours and on Sunday but well worth it.
Very unique breakfast place, service was excellent meals were fantastic. Make sure you order the bacon roll ups. It is a very small place but they take your number and call you when your table is ready.
Amazing! I had the butternut squash poached and the flavors were out of this world! The seasoning was a bit Smokey and spicy and the muffins were fresh and tasty. The hash browns were divine and I truly just wish I had more days to eat more breakfasts there! I read the service wasn’t great, but mine was top notch. Everyone that walked by offered something or asked how I was. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Post workout I was craving a nice late breakfast meal. Although I'm sure most will agree that the portion isn't extremely abundant for what you pay, I found it to be perfectly fitting for myself. The taste and timing of the order was just right. I had the eggs benny with the butternut crunch and tomato grapes. I'll be back soon to try more items from the menu.
Delicious food and great customer service. Nice decor and relaxing ambiance. Reasonable prices and great location.
Very good menu selection not too much not too little . It's an intimate space great for dates or just with friends or solo. The staff is friendly enough. Location is pretty good. You definitely have to try the pb& j I think that's what that beverage is called
Meal type
Ate here for the first time and it was amazing. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere. We were a bit disappointed on the portion size but looks can be deceiving. It ended up being the perfect portion size and was very filling (my husband is a big guy and even he was full lol) The food was delicious and we’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Saskatoon!
Poached is probably the cutest, coziest restaurant in Saskatoon. This super narrow restaurant does fabulous breakfast food. We spent a good (almost) three hours at the restaurant, eating and drinking and catching up. It was such a warm environment, we didn’t want to leave! The fresh pressed orange juice (read Mimosa) is so good. We also did lattes and then finally breakfast. The crab cakes were good. And my friend liked her eggless omelette. But my FAVOURITE item in the menu has to be the potato croquettes. This place is great for an intimate meal. Or maybe you could score the booth and have a few more people! FYI: The restaurant isn’t wheelchair friendly, as the bathroom is downstairs.
Had a beautiful breakfast at poached! Service was great and they have some really delicious and unique menu items.
I was on a search for a new breakfast place and saw great reviews on Google. My fiance and I got here in the early morning, a bit of a wait but nothing crazy. The place is small but they made do with the area, makes it more intimate, more home-y feel. Our server was friendly and got our orders taken. I'm pretty happy with our food and drink. It is quite pricey I personally find, you are paying for quality but even so, the portion of the food is small. (Maybe scaling the plate down, so the food is front and center) Overall, we did enjoy dining here, and would be back to try out their other dishes in the future. Thanks
Food was scrumptious, staff were on the ball despite being busy, great experience!
First off, its a very cool little restaurant. The food was ok. Service was very good. However, charging $2.75 for a CUP (not a mug) of coffee is a bit ridiculous. And there are no refills. The next cup was $2.75 as well. C'mon man. That's highway robbery.
Dine in
Very interesting breakfast. Nothing plain. My order was asparagus and mushrooms omlette with fetta chicken sausage. Delicious! This is between french and Italian cuisine and full bar an any time!
Food is excellent. Hot beverages were superb. Prices are quite good considering the food quality and the environment. Nice decor that is classy with some smooth jazz playing in the background quietly to add to the mood. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast most definitely.
I went there after searching for some poached eggs breakfast on google. Didn't know much about Eggs Benedict, before this search, to be honest. The images on google looked beautiful and this place had received some really great reviews so I thought I must try this, being a breakfast loving person myself. I was all by myself. The ambiance was good. I ordered Benedict with an item from the Ala Carte menu. The food was really good but the portion wasn't great. I ordered a peanut butter hot chocolate as well which was great considering that it wasn't too sweet like those typical hot chocolates everywhere, and I loved it. I wish I had ordered full benedict though. Anyways, next time. I would recommend this place and I hope they work on their serving and portion sizes.
This place was great a little hard to find but worth the searching! We had a classic eggs benny, cinnamon French toast and pecan candied bacon with a peanut butter hot chocolate to drink. You need to try this place just make sure to check the time to see if it's open.
I got the 1/2 eggs benny on crab and shrimp risotto cakes with their cheesy hash browns. Literally so good, looks like a small serving for the price but I think it was the perfect amount. I don’t think I could describe the taste without doing it justice. Crab cakes were slightly spicy which complimented them so well. Hash browns were cheesy and soft but also crispy around the edges. So well cooked and the flavours were nothing like I’ve had in the city. My mom got the same thing, she’s allergic to mango and I quickly realized and told her the sauce under the greens had mango in it. She told the waitress and she quickly brought it out on a new plate with no mango???? my only complaint is that they should have it specified in the menu that it comes with it since my moms allergy is rare and usually menus state what they’re served with. Nonetheless, they were quick to fix the issue and we both enjoyed our meals!
Simply amazing. Hard to spot but once you do you'll be glad you did. The food was fantastic and the service was pretty good as well. What probably really made me enjoy the experience the most was the quality of the food based on the price. Also, the atmosphere is nice with decorations and pretty fancy, laid back music. Overall it's a charming restaurant and a lovely place to eat breakfast.
Was my first visit here. I'm not sure why I haven't been sooner! With so much goodness to choose from, I settled on the Butternut Crunch Benedict. So. Good. I want it again, but I want to try everything else too! It's a small place, but not as small as you might think. Worth the wait. Staff was friendly and prices were a expected for downtown.
New favorite breakfast place! Will be returning each time we come to Saskatoon. Cinnamon bun french toast was great, but the eggs Benedict was to die for!!!
Excellent service. The seafood cake was delicious. Chicken sausage tasted more like chorizo. The meal below was $15.75. Toast was extra $1.5 per piece.
Poached is fantastic! Crab cake Benny is a must have, I will mourn if it ever is taken off the menu.
Absolutely loved my breakfast here at Poached! I ordered the Butternut squash eggs Benedict, which blew my mind! The squash is caramelized beyond belief with red onions, bacon, and a hint of spice, and the egg on top was perfectly done. I’ve never had such a delicious eggs benny. The service here was lovely, quick, friendly and down to earth.
Poached is so close to being a great breakfast spot. I had been a few years back and was severely dissapoined with the service which I found better today. The herb hollandaise was amazing and eggs cooked perfectly. You’re not going to get bad food here, but it sacrifices value and for ambiance and trendiness. Some feedback that would improve the meals: add a real side to the meals that’s not al a carte (potatoes, toast, etc. something to round out the plate other than the yogurt and berries, which is more of a garnish than anything else), change the coffee (add drip like every other review says! or get better at making espresso beverages). Another weird note is that they have a vegan chickpea egg replacement but lack anything else vegan (like vegan cheese). Also they give “vegan bread” at an up charge of $3, but like most bread is already vegan??
The food was amazing as usual. They were also really kid friendly and had dairy free options.
Great place to have breakfast. All dishes were good. Busy place
Absolutely delicious food. Whenever I have eggs benny anywhere else I always compare it to Poached. Prices are more than fair, and service is friendly. Their coffee is also a great roast! It can get busy on the weekends, but just expect that if you go. I like that they have the option to put your name down and get a call when a table is ready, then you can spend the time walking around downtown.
Aft aer the first time my friend brought me to here enjoy the most special breakfast, I put this place in my recommend list. This time my parents come to visit me, I have chance to let them enjoy my favourite dish in this place We had a great meal and experience with delicious food and warm service
Amazing service and food with a charming atmosphere. We were in the city for a night and decided to skip the hotel breakfast and found this gem!
We enjoyed a late breakfast here. Very good service and the food was fabulous. I had my first vegan chickpea omelet and really enjoyed it.
Always fantastic service and amazing eggs Benedict.. Over crab cakes with amazingly fresh rye bread on the side...yummmm!
Outstanding. Went as a group of 11. Outstanding food, Outstanding service and cozy atmosphere. Jenny went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend for a brunch to anyone.
Amazing place. My daughter took me here for Father's day and they treat you so well, the place looks amazing and the food was fantastic. I will be back.
In town for a weekend of hockey games and another mom suggested ‘Poached’, so we ditched the hotel breaky & Ubered over... Super neat atmosphere and the shrimp and crab cakes were amazing. My fiance had cinnamon bun French toast or something. Also good. Really enjoyed our experience
Was excited to try another downtown breakfast place. We ended up waiting almost 50 minutes for food, and when we received it 3/4 plates were cold. At almost $20 a plate for breakfast I definitely expected more. The flavour were good but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately I was thoroughly disappointed
This is a breakfast (or brunch) that you won't soon forget! For the price of a breakfast at Denny's you can instead get a gourmet breakfast. The eggs were perfectly done - just a little runny, and the crab cakes as well - lightly crispy on the outside. The added touch of a fine slice of cheese (parmesan?) beautifully complimented the meal, along with the cherry tomatoes. This was just one item on a menu of unique and very tasty items. The service was great, the decor was amazing as well - unique chairs - as well as the brick wall on one side of the bistro just added to the ambiance. I can't say enough about this place. I will definitely be back if ever I am in Saskatoon!!!
Good food, great service. Sometimes getting a seat might be an issue but is well managed by the staffs.
Each time I return to Saskatoon for a visit Poached is a definite go to! Warm and friendly atmosphere, accommodating staff and freshly prepared meals! Never a disappointment always a satisfying experience!
Service
I think the food here is spectacular if you're into brunch food. It's top 3 brunch spots in the city in my opinion. Great selection of awesome dishes. The cramped seating and ambience take a bit away from it but not enough to discourage me from coming. The service is awesome. Their staff is lovely. I come here regularly and never had an issue. Only reason they're not 5 star for me is the coffee. As a brunch spot I think coffee is fundamental and unfortunately this is where they really struggle. If you're a coffee enthusiast I would highly recommend you grab a coffee elsewhere before you come here. It's not that the beans are bad either. If I may give constructive criticism to their management staff, they need to get a consultation from a proper coffee shop because their espresso based drinks need total overhaul. Everything from drink temperature, to milk steaming skills, to the cup size selection all needs to be addressed. Regardless, it's still a gem of a spot.
