Not bad, wasn't busy at all but still felt understaffed. Service was great though. Food arrived quickly and was hot. Everything tasted good but anything with bacon, including the ceasar salads were overloaded with bacon and overpowered by it's flavor. A little goes a long way

I've been going to stokes inland for 20 years. Drinking there since I was 16 (illegally, but uncarded, bartender knows who they are. Served my wife underage too). Today with a party of 8, which to be fair, the owner Terry, sat quickly and easily with no reservation, on the restaurant side. But I had a starving and sad (possibly with a cold) 7 year old. The 3 kids plus teenager were never offered to be fed first. New server oversight, apparently. No worries there. But the bar side of the restaurant has free popcorn available to patrons. So, as a patron, with beer already served to us, I went over to get a small basket, to keep the beer going down nicely and to keep the kids from whining. Not for me, I'm told (by the bartender I've been served by for 20 YEARS!). Popcorn is for bar side only now. All the years I've been coming there (20), and with a whiny child and a tab for 8 diners looming, I'm told no? And the owner himself explaining it's because of the cheap "St pats kids" from elsewhere coming in and eating all his free popcorn that has ruined it for the rest of us. I mentioned this to the server we had, and then Terry Mr Owner-bot told the sad story of the stolen popcorn, and I told him, in all honesty, I'd never return. I realize this is a common overreaction and petty thing to say, but I am principled to a fault, and over trivium such as this, deservedly so. You will earn my money, I shouldn't have to beg to give it to you. Terry, and later our server, both said "over popcorn?" To which I retort, you have lost a longtime customer over popcorn. You may keep it. If someone could set up a gofundme or something to help stokes inland and Terry "all business" Slowka to afford popcorn for the people, I think it would greatly improve our great shity. Sorry, city, Shitnia. Sarnhole. Also I did not tip. Poopoo me on that later, but on 130 bucks I would normally leave 25. Popcorn is expensive. Gotta come from somewhere.

I contacted Terry at Inland in the morning to ask for reservations for 30 of my work folks for dinner that same night. Terry accommodated no problem and feedback from the group this morning was they loved it. The food was excellent and lots of it. The server was fantastic. Many of these folks are from out of town but working here on occasion. They have all added Inland to their list for restaurants to frequent when in town.

The staff there are great. Very friendly. Very fast. Your drinks stay full. The interior is unique. Some cool pictures and items hanging from the walls. Some cool plant design hanging from the ceiling. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was very good as well. My only complaint is the menu dosen't have certain things I enjoy, or that stand out to me. But that is strictly personal taste. I have been here many times and will go back. I gave 4 stars. But It should be 4.5 if it would let me. Only lost a half start for menu choices. Not taste or quality.

Back eating inside Stokes after way too long. The service was great, Vicki did an amazing job. The Broiled chicken was a big portion and very tasty. Wife had the Beet Salad and was also fresh and tasty. Will be back soon. Great job to the Stokes team.

I come here pretty often and today was the worst service I've had to date. People who sat down after us received their order first and the server Emily forgot my garlic bread order. We had to ask another server for water which prompted our server to get some for us The food was awesome as always so I'm hoping it was a blip on the radar.

This was a terrible experience. When we first arrived and sat down, the waitress brought out the wrong drink, thankfully she caught it and corrected it before anything was said. Afterwards, the dinner was brought out and the loaded poutine I had ordered was just a classic poutine and my hamburger had the additional poutine toppings on it. The manager came out to clear it up as the waitress seemed unsure if that's what I had actually ordered. Once the poutine was corrected, I had asked for ketchup for my hamburger, the waitress said she'd be right back and instead, stopped to take orders from a full table. I was already waiting to eat because of the poutine mishap and lack of condiments, now I'm waiting even more and my food is getting cold because my meal isn't complete but someone else is being attended to first. Finally, the meal is all said and done. We pay with cash and once we're putting our coats on, she asked how much she gave us back and looked into my wallet as I was confirming with her what it was she gave us back.

Worst nachos ever soggy never put wet salsa on chips then bake under salamandor. Ordered combo platter garlic cheese bread was just that bread not toasted. But on good side the wings where very good. Wish had faster service would have sent food back but was on lynch break from work

I had great memories of this place from when I was younger, and when I moved back, I was excited to bring friends here, but each time I bring a friend who isn't local, we have pretty bad experiences from forgetting our salad, not taking our order, never bringing the requested drinks. Once, the server had friends in the booth behind us and was chatting away while we waited so very long for our drinks and food. I've been quite a few times, and only once have we had a good experience! Good thing I'm a bit nostalgic. :)

Great food, Awesome atmosphere and sister restaurant to Stokes Bay on Harbour Road. That's another awesome place. Both Stokes Island and Stokes Bay, the two swankiest, friendly and awesome hangouts in town. I highly recommend Stokes to anyone wishing to come to Sarnia to have great food and a quality atmosphere.

Went for a baby shower. Our server started by asking what number we were before she could take our orders. She brought out multiple wrong items that we had specifically asked not to have. We ended up being charged for those items that we asked not to have. Took 40 mins to get out bills after she cleared our table, told someone it was a waste of her time to take one charge off and stood right over our shoulders while we were paying on the debit machine. Very uncomfortable experience and will definitely not be booking any further parties there.

My friends and I went for lunch here after the Tall Ships Festival. Nice selection of dishes for a crowd and we all liked what we ordered. Our waitress did a great job communicating with the kitchen to identify allergens for one of our party. They had the information for her very quickly. Loved the old Hollywood posters in the bathrooms. It was a great place to eat and I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Sarnia.

Your typical local pub with decent food and basic beer selection. A good place to watch sports with friends - they run Football on sundays, and hockey and baseball throughout the week (Season dependant), with a tv trivia game always going. Their beer selection is a bit lacking for variety, and their gluten free menu isn't too broad. But overall a relaxed place to hang out with friends.

What a great place to create memories with loved ones. I took my Mom out for lunch yesterday to Stoke’s Inland after a doctor’s appointment. Mom always enjoys the hot beef sandwich or the triple decker turkey club with fries. The club sandwich was great and the fries were nice and crispy. The serving staff was very friendly and helpful with our orders. The helpfulness came “shining” through when my Mom needed assistance to go to the washroom. My Mom has Alzheimer’s and her short term memory is not the best. Just doing the simple everyday things is difficult for her. Terry T. (T.T.) was kind enough to take the time to assist my Mom in the washroom even though Terry was working behind the bar. I was so thankful that Terry T. (T.T.) was able to assist my Mom. It is the little things like this that make all the difference in having a nice meal with family. It’s what gives the business “soul”. That’s why we make Stoke’s Inland our “go to” place to bring our Mom out for her favorite meal every time. Thank you again, to Terry T. (T.T.) and the staff who were working Oct. 11th during the lunch shift.

Sidepockets needs at least 2 employees working when there's functions going on in there.. especially when the people hosting the function doesn't supply the food. Everyone needs to order drinks and food when there no buffet style ordered.

Brought my family to celebrate a couple Birthdays and had a great time! Large menu so everyone found something they liked and the we were all very happy with our meals. They helped us celbrate the Birthdays with some complimentary desserts. This isn't my first time there, they also have a great Sports Bar to watch the game and have wings. Will be back for sure!

Went here for dinner last night. My family had recieved received flat Pepsi, when the waitress had finally decided to get us refills she didn't bother putting ice in our drinks so they weren't cold and they were flat again. I ordered the rattlesnake linguine asked for no onions but received an onion in my dish as well as other types of noodle in my dish. Bad customer service aswell.
