Tom and Tracey Bridges

Amazing Food! One of, if not the best Indian food I have ever had. The Butter Chicken & Samosas were excellent!

Needta Review

I went for lunch and it was less than 15 dollars for my choice of dish with rice, naan and salad. It filled me up and every bite was delicious. The staff was great and made us laugh and told us more about Indian music and culture (which I LOVE) and the place is very clean and inviting

Niharika Patel

We drove from Kitchener to Sarnia and wanted to have something good for the dinner. Food was delicious and they offered high chair for our daughter. Overall a nice experience!!

Montana Vogelgsang

I have tried both Veggie and Non veggie Indian cuisine here and it's simply delicious. Lamb curry is one of my favourite. The staff is very generous and I appreciate their approach towards their guests. Ambience makes me feel comfortable & relaxed and one really enjoys the meal over the lovely soft Indian music. Deserves 5 Star ????

Stopped here on the way to Chicago, I eat out a lot and never got such a polite, caring customer service. Sitapa, Vipul and Gagandeep are an awesome crew.Had chole bhature..and they were perfectly cooked and Bhaturas were on point. Inshallah, will stop here again for sure.

Called in for delivery ordered butter chicken 5 very small peices rice nan and chick peas. It was pretty good. However.... The guy that took my order would not tell me how much it would be and was snotty with me. Told me the delivery person would have the total. The total was 50 BUCKS! What in the hell is that BS.

Ron McRae

Always very attentive staff with amazing food always served fresh with just the right spice you are looking for. Been here a few times now since moving to Sarnia and my family will continue to go back!

Mario Stargard

Always outstanding both in service and quality. Sarnia is lucky to have such a place. Eating there is one of the highlights of my week. Very friendly and personable staff that call you by name. It's more than just a restaurant. Looking forward to my next vegie vindaloo! Try the spicy mint sauce! Namaste~

Nina Marie

Flavors were pretty amazing and the host was funny and friendly. They are organized and have good service timely and quality. If you're interested in Indian food I would definitely recommend in your travels.

We stopped here on a whim with a craving for good Indian food and Sitara’s did NOT disappoint! Service was spectacular, the owner came and welcomed us to the restaurant. The food was some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had. We asked for extra spicy and we were super pleased with the level of heat! We would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back!

James Gilmore

The restaurant has recently moved to this larger building that affords an outdoor patio setting or tables inside. It has a welcoming atmosphere and the food is exceptional. It is served hot, efficiently and just the right amount of spice. The owner came by twice to see how our meal was and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I had ordered Rogan Josh. It is really authentic in taste and flavor. I ordered Lachha Prantha as well. It also is excellent. Love this place

Donica - DLA Originals & Donica-dot-eh

LOVE the food here! I have never had a bad dish here. Fabulous customer service. A lovely gem in Sarnia. The entrance is a bit challenging to find but a lovely spot "tucked away" behind Parklane. They now have a location downtown but have not tried that one yet. Most times we have used takeout service. Locally owned. Very generous portions. Most times have leftovers for another meal. You can order how much heat (mild, medium or hot). If you have never had Indian food, this is a great place to start. It will be hard to match the quality and flavour anywhere else.

Workman Family

The food is very authentic. The owner is very proud of his restaurant and you can taste it. Ordered the Biryani, Butter Chicken, Korma and tikka masala. All amazing dishes. The naan bread was perfect the rice was cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the meal and will be back. There was a small problem with my first order but the owner himself made sure that everything was made right. His pride in his work showed through his world class level of customer service. Very impressive. Thank you.

Michael McRae

I don't normally rate places 5 stars, but this place deserves it. The whole experience at this restaurant was top notch from start to finish. Definitely would recommend to all fans of Indian food!

The quality and care that is put into the food at this restaurant is amazing. Consistent, and the only Indian restaurant worth eating at in Sarnia.

Eddie DeJong

Wonderful tasting Indian food.. good quantities..the garlic naan was awesome..had to order a second order.. the owner came to take the order and to check on our experience.. had the chicken tika marsala and the lamb biyrani both were very flavourful not over spiced.. our first visit.. Will not be our last

Melissa Upfold

Our server went above and beyond with great food recommendations and excellent customer service. The food was delicious. A+

Fast delivery and amazing food! Butter chicken and Lamb Masala were excellent and generously portioned. There were only 3 pieces of Tandori Chicken, which was a shame because it too was excellent. They did throw in some Fish Pakora that was great. Overall...most excellent!

Claude Arsenault

I loved the decor and the service was great. We wanted to order rice with our meal and the server suggested that we start with the rice that came with my dish, turns out that it was enough for two.

Mike G

Hands down the best restaurant in Sarnia. I order from here often and everything is awesome top to bottom from customer service to the quality of food. If there’s ever any problems, which there almost never is, manjit is quick to make it right. Incredible restaurant.

Justin Hoffman

Always a pleasure to dine here. Visited the downtown location tonight, great food and wonderful hospitality as always.

SuperSurferSilver

I've been here twice so far when I visit Sarnia. I really enjoy their selection of Indian food. It wasn't spicy but they can make it spicy to your preference. Great atmosphere and the staff are always around checking to make sure you have what you need. It is a bit harder to find because it's tucked behind a few businesses but it was a good gem to find in this town.

C. J. Cain

Really friendly staff and the food is on point.. best indian restaurant in town The taste is absolutely great. Very reasonable prices and variety of options Will be deffinitely be coming back :)

Gina Marie Photography

We always have a wonderful experience here. Manjeet is so great with his customers and even though it's grown quite a bit, he still comes around to chat with everyone.

Shelby Pitts

Dinner with some Indian friend. Tried almost everything. Traditional Indian cooking and if u can take spicy. Ask for it. I prefer very spicy Curry Lamb. With nann and rice. U will fell so comfort with stomach.lol

Trevor Cherewka

Just went here last night for my second wedding anniversary - and boy oh boy was the food delicious! This place is the real deal if you like curry, mild or spicy. I asked for extra spice and I was not disappointed! Also the service was over the top - made my wife and I feel very welcome and valued. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Euphøric

WOW!! If you are looking for the best Indian food than you must try this restaurant. We ordered the vindaloo, Saag Chicken, vegitable Korma, chicken pakras, and vegi samosa. Every dish tasted different. Im sad we dont live here so cannot visit more often. We will most likely order for Christmas and have it delivered to our hometown as they said they will deliver large orders to different cities. It was also by far the best service I have received in a restaurant. Best part for me is the menu is 98% gluten free so it was great to get to order a variety of things. The owner even came to our table to make sure everything was good. Thanks for a great dinner!

Oleksiy Babanin

I have travelled to many cities and sampled Indian cuisine in all of them. Sitara has some of the best Indian food, anywhere! If you are in the neighbourhood, try it, you won't be disappointed. Their naan is delicious, and main courses are delicious. They spice to taste, and their hot is super hot, so if you are used to Canadian hot, go lower, I usually get a 4 on the hotness scale, and I LOVE hot and spicy food. I decided to try a 4.5 and it was almost too much for me, my eyes watered but it was still good. I think I will stick with 4 and enjoy a very hot and spicy meal!

Jon Gawrys

Always a pleasant experience here. Delicious food. Great staff. Will certainly visit again. :) Thank you for the lovely evening.

Jennifer Perry

Celebrating a friend's birthday. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service was excellent. Food delivered promptly and it was hot. The server asked each of us the degree of spiciness desired and they delivered perfectly on each. Meals sampled included chicken, lamb and fish and all were delicious. The owner came to the table to see if all was good. Owner had us sample the desert rice pudding and it was also very good. Compliments to all.

Joshua Kubinec

This was the most amazing dinning experience in a long time. My boyfriend took me out to a place yesterday called currys in London ontario wrote a review was.not impressed at all (please read) Today I took him here to sitara such a beautiful texture taste full of aromatic flavor asked for Indian hot butter chicken and it was spot on my mouth is still watering from the flavor.our host was so wonderful made us feel special We also order their raz Mali desert which my boyfriend loves very much he was very delighted Its nice to know that the manager and staff take pride and have passion for their food as well as their customers. My boyfriend also ordered a rice pudding to go and with no complaints they gave as a complimentary little gift. I felt so satisfied with wonderful food as well as feeling appreciated. I must also add how fantastic not only the food was but how polite and kind everyone was to us. I recommend driving the distance no matter how far you will feel wonderful after your dinning experience here.

Paul and Jewel Hiemstra

Love Sitara. Great food, great customer service. A wonderful place to eat.

Aurrey Drake

The first visit to this restaurant. Had friends from Punjab, India. We all were very happy with the food- service and price. Will return absolutely! Two thumbs way up. Good job Sitara.⚓.

Lisa Vincent

Excellent customer service and hospitality. Consistent, high-quality food. A go-to option for take out night! Lots of choices for individuals with dietary restrictions/preferences.

Geoff Core

Came to town on business came to this restaurant and had a chicken biriyani it was soo delicious and delightful. I would recommend the food here to anyone who appreciates flavours that is tantalizing for your tastebuds. ????

Dhaval Desai

Delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. The staff is lovely and helpful and the cooks sure do know what they are doing. I go here often. The Cheetah beer is tasty as well. They always cater to your spice level accordingly. The young woman at the bar/counter is also quite easy on the eyes!

Stephen Lovell

Had dinner in the last week of Feb. Frozen food heated up to serve. Was not freshly cooked. Worst experience. Have the receipt for it. Please change.

Niharika Bushal

Best food ever!!!!! The cuisine here is my absolute favorite!! Friendly staff and great customer service!!! I literally cannot get enough of this place ❤️

Joe Roberts

Really nice experience. As good as any ethnic food in Sarnia. Had the Goan fish and gf had lamb korma. Was well cooked and service was quality. Prices reasonable for an authentic Indian place.

Ivan Icecloud

Very authentic and fresh delicious food! Customer service was friendly and very kind! I highly recommend this place!

Jen C

My mother and I were greeted the moment we stepped inside and seated immediately. After finding out that my mother despises Indian food, he recommended Korma Chicken and since I had my mind set on the Chicken Biryani, he made a suggestion for the Chicken Tikka on Sizzler which was not only delicious but stunning! The next time I'm in Sarnia, I will definitely be returning. The food alone is worth the trip! I have been back on three different occasions and each time has been an amazing experience.

Matt Surrey

Good ambience, good staff and really good food. The owner was so nice and greeted us with so much respect.

Brian Yates

So welcoming and friendly! We were seated immediately and our server presented us with options for apps and dinner! It was delicious...can't wait to go back!

Dave M

Always a great experience. Food was amazing, service was quick and professional. We brought our own wine - there's a $10 corkage fee - and ordered a number of items to share. The new expansion looks great and will help it serve more people on busy nights. Overall, a great place for good Indian food.

Karen Letts

Great, friendly service! A wide selection of dishes that can please anyone. Spice level can be customized, my family ranges from "mild mild" to "level 10 spicy spicy" and we all walk away satisfied! I always look forward to a Gulab jamun for dessert, but they have recently added more sweets so I am looking forward to future visits to try more!

Colleen Lewis

good Indian food we come to visit family and this is one of our favorite restaurants

TARiN f

Amazing food for good price!

Vince Tieu

Haven't finished our meal yet but so far friendly staff and great food. Very impressed.

Madhan Saravanan

I've only had Indian food a handful of times, but I think the food here is excellent. The staff was really friendly too. Ate here on a Saturday night while passing through town on the way from Chicago to Toronto. Tried the fried paneer appetizer, butter chichen and lamb biryani - all delicious.

Michael B

Its a bit costly concerning the environment and food they are offering. Food seems to be a Konkani style or South Indian style, which is still absolutely delicious. I don't live in Sarnia; I just came to visit, so my point of view is based around more prominent cities like Toronto and Ottawa. Somehow, the owner thought this to be a criticism.

Julia Wang

I was just checking you are open for dine in or now, because I am planning to go back to Sarnia for a short term trip. I went to your restaurant 4 years before but stay in Toronto after Lambton College. I can say it is the best Indian restaurant in my mind and there's still no other one can instead of it. I saw the other review below, remember do not upset because of unworthy people. In addition, you can report their review to google and tell the story, google will force to delete it directly.

Charlie Hibz

Excellent Indian food with friendly staff. Owners are welcoming. Butter Chicken, Koma, Naan bread all delicious

We had the most surreal experience at Sitara (London Road location) on Valentine’s Day for dinner. We had flown in to London all the way from Calgary, drove straight to Sarnia and found the highest rated restaurant on google to have dinner on Valentine’s Day. The place was bustling and even though we didn’t have a reservation, a gentleman in a pink shirt seated us almost immediately. For that we were grateful, being so tired and hungry. But that’s when our luck ran out. Restaurant was cold. We had no service at the table for the next 20-30mins, no one poured water for us like they did at other tables or brought us chutneys. We were okay with that, we’re perfectly capable of pouring our own water and continued to peruse the menu. We waited and waited for someone to come take our order, while watching the pantomime of the same waitresses pouring water at the other tables and bring out chutneys for the pappadom, recommend ways to best eat them. We tried to flag down the girls to no avail. Finally someone remembered us and took our orders. By that time, we just wanted to leave but we’d already eaten the dry pappadum waiting for the chutney so we felt bad just walking out. We made a basic order of a chicken seekh kabab, rice, naan, a curry of some sort. Food took a while to come and we were freezing at that point. Literally gulped down our dinner in our jackets, because we didn’t enjoy it at all, didn’t bother with taking our leftovers, packed up my child’s stuff quickly only to wait another 15-20mins for the bill -__- We were so happy to finally leave. We felt like we’d gone to a totally different restaurant than the one on google. Bizarre. Wonder if they chose to focus on regulars, people with reservations or a specific demographic because we felt invisible and ignored on that day. Suffice to say, we didn’t go back in the next three weeks that we were without a kitchen and we won’t be back at all for anything. Sayonara Sitara. * Couple of things I wanted to clarify - I’d rate it 2 stars and not 1 merely for the festive decor and ambience of Valentine’s Day despite not enjoying the food or not having any service. * We did leave a tip because we never leave our manners at home. At the end of the day servers are mostly students trying to make a few extra bucks. We’ve been there and we recognize the hustle. * Feedback to management - work on a plan to deal with busy days like VDay. The girls were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It didn’t seem like they had specific tables or a game plan of any sort to keep things moving smoothly. * Try to treat all your patrons the same and practice consistency in your service.

I'd never gone to an Indian restaurant. Once at the restaurant, I was greeted immediately with a warm welcome. Then, I ask the host to help with ordering n for recommendations. The host ended up being the owner! I was pleasantly surprised when he joined us at the table to instruct what dish was coming next and how to get the most taste out of it

Tareq Z

Hands down the best Indian Cuisine I have ever had and everyone there is so friendly if you're passing through Sarnia it's a must stop at kind of place thanks guys !

Ronak Patel

Great Indian food. Staff and owners are very nice. They take the time to explain the menu options and make you feel welcome.

Aamir Shahzad

Hardworking, respectful, responsive, smiling, welcoming workers. They really know what they are cooking and never forget to ask your individual preferences for authentic taste. I had channa masala, naan and black masala chai. Every thing was more than perfect. Very nice, clean and sanitized place. All the best guys!

Rohan Parekh

Great staff and atmosphere!! Food is quite okk. Probably my taste may differ from yours.

Chris Stinson

Amazing food, very very testy, professional staff, Good hospitality, net and clean. One day my self and my wife visited this restaurant we are so happy and enjoying to eat food. I suggest ones you must must visit this restaurant and test Indian cuisine.

ASHWIN PATEL

Absolutely love the downtown location. Their street food menu is what drew me in. The channa bhatura is absolutely delicious. The young guy working there seems like a really nice guy and the chef knows how to put out amazing dishes. Masala dosa was on point as well. I'm hooked.. Unbelievably delicious food!

Alisa VanRooyen

First time at the Sitara and we found the food and service excellent. Very friendly and competent staff made it a great dining experience.

Craig Hunt

Friendly, welcoming service, especially if you're trying Indian cuisine for the first time they will help you with the menu to find something perfect. Love dining in and ordering for take out!

Amy McDangerfield

Good food ohh yess!

Jeff Nace

The food was so worst and the way you called us and agrued with us was so bad thing that you did instead of saying sorry you are calling us and saying that do at least something good this is not the way anyone treat the customers and if you don’t know then please learn that thing and the way you talked with us on phone was very rude so please try not to do this thing with anyone

Melanie Jakubowski-James

Amazing Food. Flavorful. Friendly Staff. Wish I could try every item on the menu.

Tom K

Take my money. Best indian food in town.

Brian Haines

Great food and friendly staff. Very nice resturant. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their cooking.

Amy White

This is our go-to date night food. We've never had a poor experience here--have tried a lot of different items on the menu and everything has held up to our experience of authentic Indian food in bigger cities. Consistent great service, on the phone and in the restaurant, great food, and a nice atmosphere. We've tried all the places in town and this one trumps the others, no question.

Camila Alejo

This place served me 4 different curry dishes with the same curry base, which is an insult to any AUTHENTIC Indian food and then had the audacity to threaten me to take legal actions for my 1 start rating. PS to the owner: Please grow up and start accepting healthy criticism. And rather than wasting your time drafting 3 page long threat letters in reply to an honest review, spend your time bringing the food to the standards that are portrayed in your name.

Clint Normandeau

Always have a great meal, staff is very friendly and thankful for your business. Not the cheapest price but the quality and flavours are always top notch

Himanshu Dev

Excellent food.....the flavours were fantastic. We had Mullagitawny soup, samosas, naan, two korma dishes and chicken Tikka masala. YUM!! Would definitely order from here again.

Amu Dhaliwal

Best place to dine here quality of food quick service . real Indian aroma tastety. Very need and clean restaurant. Feel like home I feel Come and again again very friendly staff Service us.

Margie Maynard

Marie and I decided to visit Sitara one our way through Sarnia and the reviews looked good so we went and are super glad we did. Having lived in Vancouver for 17 years I know what authentic Indian food tastes like. Sitara delivered. The Pakora was fresh and yummy. The chutney and sauces we excellent. The Garlic Naan was so tasty and fresh and the butter chicken was to die for. The food was a 10 out of 10 but the service made this place an 11. Its so nice watching a family work together to serve in such a delightful way. We met both the husband and wife and had a very wonderful conversation. A dining experience is always 50% food and 50% service in my opinion. They have both going for them at Sitara. Even if you don't like Indian food you have to visit this place and experience for yourself and you will then understand why its rated the best restaurant in Sarnia. Joe and Marie from The Push for Change PS thank you for supporting Youth Homelessness and the many other great charitable causes in your community. Your community board was humbling.

pran gupta

Amazing mithai and service from this restaurant! Ordered a box of mixed Mithai from outside of Canada, and the team at Sitara did a wonderful job of getting the perfect box of sweet treats ready for my family in Sarnia. Thank you so much, they loved it! Keep it up :)

S G

Wow this place is good! We had ckucken Korea and lamb masala along with garlic naan and a few other starters. It was sooo good. The service was fine, they don't rush you in and out which I like. It is about average price but definitely anything but average taste. I do like that they ask about how spicy you want the food, they give you a scale and you can get it as spice or as mild as you need. Definitely recommend it.

Shaina Huggett

Absolutely, Love Sitara! The butter chicken with rice and garlic naan is my absolute favorite! Foods always delicious, arrives hot and fast! Super friendly, and awesome staff!

Balaji Venkat

Great Indian food option. Service staff is friendly and on point and the owner makes a point to check in with customers and make sure quality is high. It also has probably the largest vegan friendly menu in Sarnia if that's a factor for you. Atmosphere is cozy. The food itself is very good, but I think Warraich has them beat in that aspect. However it's easy to argue the level of service and the better atmosphere inside the restaurant outweigh the slightly better food. My take on Indian food in Sarnia (haven't eaten at Spice n' Ice enough to rank it but it's also a contender)--get take out from Warraich, eat in at Sitara but you can't really go wrong with either.

Dave Warren

Awesome food. Friendly staff. Even gave me a complimentary fish pakoras. I learned the hard way you don't eat take out curry in van. Made a mess of things. Definitely going back.

Anu Kaur

This restaurant is an inviting, warm and friendly reataurant.Manpal the owner has a beautiful place this and the food speaks for itself, absolutely delicious.

Otto Pesonen

I would say that it was the best Indian food so far. Thank you for the Amazing experience. Drove from Windsor to tried out. It was while worth it.

Lisa Jackson

Great food and great service. The drinks selection is quite nice, with the house wines being pleasantly surprising. They also have draught beer and served my MIL a great margarita. We ordered a bunch of food to share and the staff was wonderful about customizing spice levels to work for all three of us. Definitely stacks up to the Indian restaurants we frequent in Toronto, and the naan is delicious. The staff was so nice and friendly, can't wait to come back next time we're in Sarnia.

Gabriel Faria

Worst Biriyany ever had in life……

Tiago Kappke

I like it so much that I order it all again, exactly the same dishes. What disappointment! Completely different from my first experience. The rice was cold, the samosa was full of oil, and my lamb karma had so much coconut that it was difficult to eat it. Also, the meat was tuff. Even with a 20% gratitude, service still not great, It needs a minor adjustment on customer service and consistency to be amazing!

Doug Gill

Today was my first time, I had an amazing experience. Everything I ate was phenomenal. The staff was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful experience Edit: I almost forgot the dessert! It was like tasting summer. I can't remember the name now, but it was the cheese thing with rose water. It was beautiful! There isn't a word to describe how amasing it was

Anne Tucker

Fantastic Indian food and brilliant service! I will come back each time I am in Sarnia. I totally recommend this restaurant!!!

Alex McGillivray

Some of the best Indian food I have ever had. The staff were amazingly helpful, and made useful suggestions. The food itself is incredible. Fantastic lamb and more. Would 100% reccomend to anyone in the area.

SERGUEI DRATCHEV (Heavy Haul TV)

Ordered 47 dollars worth of food via Uber Food. One of the dishes was SOUP. Asked for utensils... the food was tasty and hot... BUT it was hard to enjoy the soup with only a fork and a knife! They didn't give me the spoon!

Aidan Crowder

An excellent experience! Many vegan options! Could not have asked for better service or better prices. I found the currys very flavorful and the waiter helped us choose the right amount of heat (mild +, but next time I'll get hot!) We started with the plate of samosa which was served with Chana Masala. They were truly the best Ive ever had. So moist yet crunchy, perfectly sized, and the Chana masala complimented them well. For our main course we had Zeera Aloo and the Dal Makhini. Both were made vegan and were good sized portions for an individual. One order of rice was added and was perfect between the two dishes. We added an order of garlic naan bread (made vegan) and it was so good we ordered another before finishing our meal! Overall it is the best indian cuisene I have had within 100km, and the wonderful service provided will ensure that we return again. The fact that they offer almost every dish to be made vegan proves that the orders are made individualy and fresh. Thanks for the great meal!

JB Langaliya

Me and my friends were craving for indian food and found Sitara on google and decided to try this cuisine as we were new to town. Great staff. Friendly service. Much much better taste than so many other Indian restaurants. I’ll definitely recommend to visit at least once. Overall experience was good enough.

Adam Waugh

Food was delicious. Nice place,Nice staff. We were travelling from Mississauga to Michigan.we had Good food at this place.

P H I L I P

First time I try this restaurant and the food was good until I add a very bad Indigestion from it....been puking for an hour....just hope they dont have seafood mix with the rest of food cause I am severe allergic...dont want to go to hospital during this virus...o.O

Wyatt Hachey

I've been here three times now and I would say it's the best Indian food I've had in Ontario so far. My favourite dish is the Aloo Gobi, but I've also been very impressed with the chicken corma and lamb vindaloo. I think they use just the right amount of spice for the average person, but they will adjust the spiciness if you prefer. The staff here is always super friendly and the prices are unbeatable. Dinner for two people along with two drinks was just over $50.

Madeline Locke

Very good spicy Indian food!! Best place to have an Indian lunch or dinner!! - Good ambiance - Perfect menu - Respectful staff - Worth the money you pay for food - On-time food service - Excellent detailing on the food (includes food carvings) - Clean food service area - Clean restroom Could have served raita accompanying biriyani.

Diane Hill

Delicious food at a great price. Sitara is very clean and well maintained. I really liked the authentic music that set the feeling of a true experience.

casey nantais

We tried the saag chicken, daal makhani, garlic naan, and lachha parantha. Everything was excellent! The saag and daal were both very home style and very delicious and the naan and parantha were cooked perfectly. Looking forward to coming again another time with a larger group so we can try more things!

Nikhil Joseph

Great experience. Nice hospitality. Had Butter Chicken, Chana Masala, Chicken Tika, Lamb Korma. Naan was great and the food was very flavourful. Food is largely gluten-free, except for the breads. Will come here again next time I'm in Sarnia.

Lisa Matlovich

Great Indian food, fast service and very friendly people. The bonus is the larger dining room.

Vegan, everything is great, I highly recommend this place, medium spiced, amazing flavors, clean, great service, please don’t tell anyone, I really don’t want to have to wait or make a reservation because the secret is out. I loves my curry!

Abhishek Singh

Unfortunately, it was not the experience that I was hoping for. Got 2 pieces of an average single naan and was mentioned as 2 naans. Taste was okay. I really hope that the restaurant increase their bar and provide some lip-smacking Indian food for what the Indian food is famous for.

Joshua Pitka

This is one of the best restaurants in Sarnia in my opinion. Great service, lots of options and good quality. Chai tea definitely contains quality spices. Staff are friendly and we always enjoy the significance and history of the dishes

Nancy Manning

Sarnia finally has delicious Indian food! I’m in love with this place. The food is outstanding and the service is top notch. You can really tell they care about their customers and are passionate about their food. I’m amazed with how they have so many vegan options and even offer veganized naan. The best veggie pakoras I’ve ever had, as well as every dish I’ve had has been stellar. Such a friendly place, and I always leave with leftovers which future me always appreciates! ???? This is my new favourite place to go for Indian.

Sh Kehoe

YET ANOTHER WOW! My family and I have been coming here since they opened and have brought countless friends and our son's hockey teams here. Everybody loves it. The food is top shelf and always fresh no matter what location you visit. Manjit treats his guests like family . Manjit when are you going to bring this great food experience to Strathroy???

Stephanie Orrange

The food is tasty and good portions. Their menu has planty of variety. Service is friendly and welcoming.. They do need to improve on managing orders however for larger groups, as they seem to get confused everytime on who ordered what and we need to ask for missing food everytime we visit them with my family .

Mehr Reen

The food was amazing. The biryani and chicken was unbelievable. Maybe the best I’ve ever had. The staff was so nice and and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend if your in the area and want some great food.

Jeremy Hernandez

Thank you, Sitara (especially Manjit), for always being consistent in delivering the BEST FOOD! Sitara is pretty much the only place I order from when I need a break from cooking. I think at this point, I'm pretty much addicted! A special thank you to Manjit, who is always thinking of others and continuously giving back to his community. Manjit, your generosity in delivering dinner to me and my family after my dad passed away was appreciated more than you can know. <3

Syed Abdul Gaffoor

Always get a great meal here. Best Indian food in town. I normally go for the lunch special which is a great value. Nice place for a quiet date night with the wife too.

ThisisShanelle

I enjoyed my meal. However for 48 dollars the portions were rather small. Would i go there again? Only if i was having a bad craveing and money to blow

Adam Wencel

AMAZING fresh food. I hardly ever eat out due to stomach issues. This place NEVER hurts my gut. They always greet with a friendly hello and they make you feel like family there... one of my favourite places.

Mihir soni

I always love to come to Sitara! No matter what your meal is or who serves you, its always a delicious time. One of the best places in Sarnia to eat!

Garry Robinson

I usually go to Sitara for dinner but decided to go with my mom for lunch last week. Their lunch combo was awesome and for $11.99 can’t beat the price!!

ian hanney

Delicious food and courteous staff, will come back again.

Leticia Peters

Delicious food and nice atmosphere! My husband and I come here for dinner occasionally and have never been disappointed! We always try something new but the Chicken Korma is my favourite! If you're craving a taste of India, come here!!

Nicole McLeod

I ordered the main course and the food was delicious Punjabi Food and even the South Indian was mouth watering Giving 5 stars on the service and food

Brendan Jones

For more Unique food places to explore check out @first_big_bite on Instagram! Stopped in for lunch today at their new location in Point Edward. The service from Gobind was fantastic. Thank you! Shout out to the kitchen as the food was delicious and fresh. Pictured here is the following: Vegetable Samosa - triangular pastry stuffed with potatoes, green peas, and curry spices. Butter Chicken - Tender boneless pieces of chicken cooked in an aromatic tomato based curry sauce and roasted ground fenugreek leaves Garlic Naan - Traditional Indian bread baked against clay in a Tandoor oven glazed with fresh roasted garlic and cilantro. Served fresh from the oven brushed with butter This is a must try spot. With another location in Sarnia, Petrolia, and a food truck in Wallaceburg.

Shawna Beck

Love this place. Best Indian food and great service. Good to see a family owned business doing so well. They've updated their decor and will be expanding the restaurant soon.

Braedyn Stockfish

Great customer service, the owner it's a gentleman. Good food, clean place.

Mahomed Limbada

Amazing restaurant... i wish that we have this restaurant in Brampton... food is amazing and service is excellent ... I loved the people ... 100 % recommended

Rajbir

This restaurant deserves its high rating! The staff is attentive, friendly and the service is very fast. They start you off with a papadom and a bottle of water for the table. I got the lamb korma with an order of naan. The lamb was delicious and the naan tasted very fresh. Highly recommend stopping here when you’re in Sarnia.

Jay

A fantastic Indian meal on date night, starting with the fish appetizers. The creamy vegetable korma dish paired with the curry chicken was delicious. In fact, we couldn’t stop sopping up the curry sauce with naan bread, even after we were stuffed. The service was good, although the manager guy was obviously overbearing on the waitresses. The ambiance was somewhat different in the 2 eating areas, both were nicely set up. Can’t wait to eat the leftovers for lunch!

Bridgette Sorrells

Sitara; an Indian Food restaurant in Sarnia serving all of the Canadian palate favourites such as garlic naan bread to butter chicken and lamb biryani, basmati rice and more! These dishes are so close to the authentic spicey Indian food that the only thing missing is for you to turn up the heat! And they can likely do that too! Prices vary according to the type of dish but all are shareable and worth the cost for a special night out. Service is excellent too!

Nick Lewis

Food is little expensive compare to price. I ordered the curry and it was sour. But owner took my feedback seriously and hope we will ha e better taste next time

Katherine Seppala

Best and I mean the best place for Indian cuisine we always have an amazing time we get the onion baji to start delicious maybe some fish pakora then our mains we love the chicken tikka. The papadon at the beginning so delicious. The atmosphere is very welcoming very kind servers and the owner always has a smiling kind face. This is our go to eat out restaurant!!

Isaac Bergeron

I took my family over the border to this restaurant from Marysville, Michigan. Although I am not Indian, I have had Indian cuisine all over India, Europe and the US during my business travels. For me, this was the best Indian food I have experienced. My family of 5 rarely agrees on food, and my youngest (8 yrs old) is ultra-conservative when we dine out and usually orders chicken strips. After our dining experience it is tradition for us to rate the restaurant on the drive home. I was amazed as I heard 10s (out of 10) ratings coming from my kids mouths. As a family we have never rated a restaurant this high before. The owner made special efforts to discuss the level of spice with my kids suited to their taste. He indicated that he will try to make everyone happy. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the garlic naan hot from the clay Tandoor oven. The service was detailed and relaxed, and very accommodating especially for my kids. I ate the Lamb Masala where every bite was a delight. My wife had the Lamb Korma which was also delicious. The red Michelin guide should expand beyond the major North American cities and give this gem the maximum stars.

Coby Schultz

So glad to find this restaurant! Delicious!

Shawn McGee

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, even though I ordered take out. Had the lamb masala and they offered to add the amount of spice I was comfortable with (I got medium-plus, which was perfect). Definitely recommend! :)

Himanshu Raichandani

Lunch was incredible! I got the lunch combo and was very impressed - great variety and large portion!

Hanvi Patel

I have eaten indian food all over the world and this is comparable. Good flavour and service

Danny Yu

Awesome food and service by M/s Rupinder kaur, really appreciated, and would prefer to everyone for best quality of food in Sarnia

Harmanpreet Singh

Have been to Sitaras multiple times as well as through Skip the Dishes. The food is always delicious, presented well and seasoned perfectly each time. The consistency is the best part, you will always receive a solid well made dish. Even the small apps have a lot of care go into them. Best Indian food in town by far.

Janette Burmaster

Love this place! Lots of vegetarian options (most can be made vegan as well as the naan). We’ve tried more than half the dishes on the menu and a majority of them were soo good. The staff are super friendly as well! Been to a few different Indian restaurants in the London area but I’ve gone out of my way for Sitara a few times now.

Pinky Chaubey

Good reviews are well deserved - great service, excellent food and fair prices

Jillian Elgie

food was delicious as always - service was even better. we sat at the Point Edward location and it was beautiful. The service was fast and genuine. Recommend to anyone in Sarnia!

L Kitties

Soo expensive! I paid 15.99 for a tiny container of butter chicken that is not even true Indian butter chicken. There was nothing else that came with it and a piece of garlic Naan was 3 dollars. The food is great, I am just sad about the portion size in comparison to the price.

abhishek dave

Perfection. Service from staff treats you like family, food is spectacular and the decor and ambiance is great too. The ONLY problem is the location as it's tucked behind a car dealership and can be easy to miss the driveway but once you've been there once it's no longer a problem

Osiris Gelinas

Cute & cozy restaurant. The staff are beyond friendly and you can tell they truly care. The food is just as good. My favourite place to eat when I visit sarnia.

Mark Elkins

Excellent Indian food restaurant of its own kind kind , ambiance and very good service by Vipul and Gagandeep. Highly Recommended

Carson Thompson

Our first time at Sitara was at the London Rd location, and it was so good that we just had to visit the downtown restaurant. Also, in addition to all the ala carte menu items, Sitara offers a thali lunch, with your choice of listed entrees and Chana Masala (chickpeas in spicy sauce), Naan and basmati rice, so we decided to go at lunchtime.

Liz Sethi

Good Indian food. Would not say it is the best in town but it is good. Price is a bit high for what you get. I would say that portions need to be bigger or price needs to be lower. Decor and atmosphere are nice, would definitely recommend for date night.

Emerald Church

I usually don’t write a review for any restraunt even if it’s good but this place was amazing. So good that I accually looked up how to write a review lol. I ordered the butter chicken with rice and side of garlic naan and the hubby got the chilli chicken and we were extremely impressed. The portions are huge and we were able to have it for left overs the next day which makes it worth every penny. Now I have basically eaten every where here in sarnia and this place is by far my hubbies and my all time favorite place to order from. I highly recommend and if I could give a higher rating of five stars I would. Simply amazing ????

Yasmin Hillyard

Amazing Indian cuisine!

Brandi Boivin

My wife and I are plant-based so there aren't a lot of options for us when we go out; however this wasn't the case at Sitara. There were a lot vegan options and it was clearly stated on the menu. The staff were relaxed and very pleasant and helpful. We loved the ambiance and left feeling so nourished. Namaste. Thank you.!!

Bhargav Chacha

Worst worst !!!!! This is not even close to indian food. Don't waste your money here.????????

Raghav Bhardwaj

Not as spicy as I would have wanted but after all I love spicy food too much, otherwise very tasty Indian restaurant. Excellent customer service. Extremely friendly staff. Even though I think the manager or owner was a little hash on the seems to be new staff, but that just mean he cares. Strongly recommended. Update: There is a problem when I write a review a few days later. I forgot one of the most important thing that happened. About the spicy level of food, manager actually did ask me about how spicy would I want the food to be, it was me who picked something less then the most spicy level because I didn't know how spicy was it to begin with. So after all what I first said in the manager's credit was correct, "He cares." When I say he cares, I am not talking about the rating, he cares about the food quality, cares about his customer. Honestly, not too many restauranta that I have been to have this level of care, from what I remember, not many restaurant promptly asks and explain about they spicy level of their food.

Rene Vandenbrink

They have the best food as compared to other Indian restaurants in other cities. They know how to bring the authentic flavour to the food. Amazing ....

Walter Wrobel

Great service. Made me a tandoori shrimp even though it was not on the menu, needed a certain size of shrimp, and marinating. It was fantastic. All others of our 10 person group enjoyed their meals, especially the lamb chop appetizer. Glad to see they have opened another location in Sarnia.

Alyssa Fisk

Amazing food and incredible customer service/hospitality. Best Tikka Masala I've ever had at a restaurant. The recommended Fish Pakora was to die for, it was so flavorful and juicy they did an excellent job marinating it. He also recommended the Saag Paneer as I was looking for a Paneer dish and it went perfectly with the order. 10/10 you can't beat this level of hospitality, you can tell they care about their customers.

Mason Bresett

Before I ate at Sitara I had never tried any Indian Cuisine before. Ever since I ate there a month ago my family and I have ordered food at least once a week. Very delicious meals, definitely worth every penny! Awesome service, and delivery was quick! I would definitely recommend to all my friends to eat here!

Alan McCutcheon

Love this place! The best Indian food ever and the staff are so friendly and helpful

Daman Powar

Butter chicken is simply amazing. Service is above expectations. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and friendly staff.

Linda Fowler

Some places come and go. Sitara has remained, and there's good reason for that. Great food, good reputation. Happy to have a quality place like this in Sarnia.

Mercedes Johnson

Sitara serves the most delicious food and the service is always wonderful.

kareem austin

Food here is always awesome n staff friendly.10/10 would recommend if you wanna have best food in sarnia.

Larry Mackenzie

The food was fabulous, and the server and owner were kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. This is a great place if you are an Indian food novice, as they will adjust the spice level to suit your palate. We will DEFINITELY return when we are in the area. Ps the mango beer is a must have!

Jason Gibson

One of the best Indian food I’ve ever had . Mr. Vipul was really working hard to make sure to provide the best ambience that one could get ! Food was absolutely délicieux. Sizzler chicken kabab was top notch . Keep reaching heights team .

Jen B

Always excellent food and fast, friendly service. My #1 choice for indian cuisine.

Jessica Young

I’m Indian and from Brampton, I’ve experienced hundreds if not thousands of different restaurants, Indian restaurants and this by far is in the top 3 if not the best. The flavour, the masala, the quantity for price is perfect. I would recommended this restaurant to anyone. 10/10 would come again when I come back to Sarnia.

max zangolli

Amazing food and nice staff, i always enjoy a meal from Sitara Sarnia!

Conclusive Mystique

Great atmosphere, great food. I Have never had a bad experience, such a wonderful staff. My favorite place to eat in Sarnia

Deepak Sethi

Easily my favourite place to eat in Sarnia. The food is always AMAZING and the staff are so welcoming and warm.

mike dionne

I got Chicken Tikka Masala it was delicious. There was enough for 2 meals. I also had an order of rice and an order of garlic Naan bread. The garlic naan was very mild but was a fitting accompaniment for the main course. I'm looking forward to trying something different next time.

Amanda Benoit

We were well served. The dishes were delicious. 5 stars

Supreet Saini

Seated immediately. Very polite staff and owner. Excellent food. I had the Chicken Masala and would highly recommend it. Overall I found this restaurant excellent value. I'll be back!

Hayley Marrison-Shaw

Great experience. Enjoyed our time spent there. Speaking with the owner was a unique experience also. Shows the pride in their work.

Darby Watterworth

The food, the service, the ambiance, was all incredible. I am a fan of embracing other cultures and trying the cuisine from other cultures helps me do that. I 100% recommended Sitara for delicious Indian Cuisine and impeccable service.

Alisha McLauchlin

The best food ever! The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Prepare to be treated like family! Very vegan friendly

Lamaro Oliphan

Incredible! Such good authentic cuisine and the best service staff around. Overall the best restaurant for Indian food.

Larry Douglass

We have been there quite a few times and totally enjoyed it. They have just lately expanded, making it much easier for them to serve their faithful guests. Needless to say that service and food are both top notch.

Erichelsea Gardner

As Indian is my favourite cuisine I have a lot of experience ordering it throughout the world, including India. I was hopeful to see an Indian restaurant in Sarnia and it's pretty good. Probably the best Korma I've ever had. The makhni daal, my all-time favourite food, is pretty good, and the naan is nice and fluffy. Wait staff and owner are very welcoming. Worth the visit. Not quite 4 stars but more than 3. Certainly better than the other Indian options in the city.

HIR SANGHVI

Excellent customer service delicious food and good prices. Excellent!

Alun Williams

Awesome food. Great staff

Avi Nagra

I was very impressed with the super delicious food and warm hospitality. We went there in celebration of our dear friend Vipuls graduation at Lambton College field of Autism. I can't express enough about how good it was. It was the best India food in my life. Treated with grandeur like you are a favorite nephew or niece... What can I say, the owner is like your own uncle. The hospitality and food is second to none... My wife and I will be frequent visitors for sure. LOL :)

chris metcalfe

Good service and loved the food. Huge portions and left full

Prableen Kaur

Alway very good food love this place ????

Deep Sethia

Such an amazing and authentic Indian food! We arrived right before closing yet we were welcomed with warmth and great hospitality!

Marek Kos

Dinner delivered as a surprise for Father's Day and it was truly excellent. More than enough for tomorrow too so we look forward to that! Highly recommend.

Janet Oliver

Amazing food! Would like to go back there for sure.

Brad Yates

We came into Sarnia for a hockey game. We read some good reviews about Sitara and decided to check it out. When we got here, we noticed that it was behind a car lot and we're not sure what to expect. This place is a solid 10 out of 10. Food was amazing and wait staff was fantastic. We will definitely come here again.

Faisal Butt

We just went for dinner tonight and the food was so good and delicious!! Service was also excellent !! Highly recommended restaurant.????????????????

Melissa Greaves

If you've been planning to give Sitara a try but haven't made it there yet, don't wait any longer. The atmosphere is excellent, the service is fantastic and friendly, but that all pales in comparison to the absolutely INCREDIBLE CUISINE authentically prepared. We were greeted and entertained by the incredibly friendly owner Manjit Singh. Through our conversations we discovered they buy their groceries locally, and through my research, they give a lot back to the community. My only regret is that I waited this long to go for the first time. I most certainly will not wait long to return however. Thank you Sitara for a fabulous evening of incredible dining. On a side note to those who are concerned about safety during these Covid times. all their staff were properly masked and seem to disinfect and handle things according to guidelines appropriately.

Alicia Reny

A little bit pricey but quality wise its one of the best Indian cuisine in sarnia

Bruce West

Absolutely amazing. If I could give Sitara 10 stars I would. Got the Lamb Vindaloo and Shrimp Korma, garlic naan, rice, and samosas. We originally forgot to add rice to our order (our own fault) and when we went back to buy some more rice they were very apologetic and didn’t charge us for it. The customer service is above and beyond. The flavour of the food is top notch. This has to be one of the best places to eat in Sarnia. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Manda Johnson

I took my girlfriend there for her birthday. We went for lunch and I honestly can not wait to come back. It is family run with exceptional service. They are so warm and welcoming, with smiles and courteous manners. Took the time in detail to explain dishes, as well as levels of spice. I asked about a special dessert for my girlfriend as it was her birthday and they brought out a rice pudding with Gulab Jamun... Absolutely delicious!!! Honestly this is probably one of the best if not the best restaurant in town for quality and service!!!

Greg Zehnal

Best in town. Owner is amazing and super friendly. Always helpful to the customer. Great customer service.

Paul

The owner and staff are always so very kind and welcoming. We love to visit often.

Mark Sysel

A nice find! Some of the best Indian food we’ve had, the Cheetah beer was very nice too.

Janet LaVoie

Modern decor. Clean and good ambiance. Very engaged staff. Food quality is excellent. A hidden gem.

Shumus Mahendru

Today was my second time and won't be my last! Amazing food as always and being vegetarian it's hard to find good sit in places to eat, that have any items at all. Decided to have dessert tonight and because of also being lactose intolerant I couldn't have one of the items, so they offered for me to try the rice pudding. I've never been a fan of rice pudding but decided to give theirs a try, and what they did as well is made it custom and had mango put in as well. Best decision and bed rice pudding I've ever had! They have gone above and beyond any other place I've eaten at.

Emile Cooper

Great place. Food is good. Fresh. And the owners make you feel welcome all the time. They will even come to your table to see how it was. Not to many do that.

Bhaumik Patel

The sizzling paneer is amazing at this place and everything is made fresh. Owner is very friendly and great to chat with. They are not as good as taste of tandoor india in windsor but still the best indian food in Sarnia although expensive for indian students. Suggest offering a $10-12 lunch buffet for indian students so they can afford quality food they miss back home.

Gord Cameron

Excellent food and very friendly service

John Lightfoot

Sitara is the best Indian Restaurant in Ontario, including the Toronto ones!! The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great and the staff/owners are wonderful. We actually ordered from Sitara for our Christmas dinner and most recently our Easter dinner. It's what our whole family, from all around Ontario and Montreal, ask for.

ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਣਾ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਗੈ

This was the first restaurant I went to eat when I came to Canada. Reminded me of home. I remember I was very sick from my flight for several weeks and there warm food delivery kept me comfortable ❤️always my first choice to go eat ????love the owner as he is very humble and kind with his customer services ????Also there butter chicken is the best ❤️

Sean Meharg

Everyone working at Sitara is clearly passionate about their food and service. Their pride is fully justified. The service was fast, friendly, and helpful. Every item we ordered was of exceptional quality, and our dishes were litterally overflowing with food. My family and I have been to several Indian restaurants in the GTA and can comfortably say that Sitara was considerably better than any of our previous experiences (not to discredit any of the other places we have eaten at, Sitara is just exellent all around). We are all looking forward to eating here again the next time we are in Sarnia.

Richard

OMG!!! You have to try this place authentic, delicious, they even have their own beer. Best hands down Indian food I have ever had.

KR TECHNOLOGIES

Incredible Indian food and top notch customer service. They are experts at making sure your dish is the perfect level of spice whether you like a little or a lot.

Lee Macneil

Good food and good attention. A big advantage is that the meals are al carte, which means the smell of the spices and food is mild in comparison with indian buffets.

Kahlil Roper

This place never disappoints! Delicious food every time, and very polite and friendly staff. Recently we had a mix up with an order, and they insisted on delivering our missing dish for FREE! Amazing! Definitely one of the best places in town!

Riya Panchal

Very very very pathetic food. I have never had such kind of disgusting food in my life before. The veggies had only the taste of cinnamon, and was tasteless. I would not even give one star also. N the paratha were like from ready made packet. Food was very bad and the quantity was also very less. I went to eat but I got very unhappy with food and my money got wasted. The prices were not at all worth it.There are many restaurants which are way more good than this. I would never suggest such restaurant to anyone. I would suggest you to improve the quantity and quality of your restaurants food.

Harry Pozdyk

Really authentic Indian cuisine. Went with my wife and we had Goan Fish Curry and Chicken Curry and it was really amazing. Owner and Chef Manpal's friendly service was the cherry on top :)

Shailaja Nadarajah

It's a cute resrurant. The ambiance is great. Bathroom and restaurant is clean. I came here yesterday for my birthday and the service was slow either because customs of there culture, understaff not sure. Our reservation was for 7 we asked the host if we could eat/be seated early she sat us. Took about 2 he's in total to get our entree. Waitied close to 30 min or more for someone to come to our table. 2 tables that sat down way after us got there food before us. Server kept asking if my friend was done with her appitzer, not sure if it's just for cultural reason to keep asking and then serve entree but it took about 2 hrs to get food. The host and server were both nice and asked how the food was. Apologize for the wait time. Lukily, waiting that long the food was pretty good I got the ground chicken and onion, peppers and basmati rice that I think the owner gave us free, and naan bread. The food was a 5/5

Sarah Williamson

One of my absolute favourites. And the friendliest service in town. Butter chicken is my go to dish but everything I've tried is delicious. The garlic naan is a must have!

Eugen Dura

Food is so delicious !!! I have tried famous place in Toronto to brampton to the Detroit but not a single place can match the level (taste) of sitara.. Especially who come to grand bend must have dinner in sitara...

Adam & Ingrid Vieira

Fantastic food, lots of gluten free options and incredibly welcoming staff!! Hands down my favourite restaurant in Sarnia!

Chris Clark

Great food and very friendly people who were helpful with people who have not been there before.I have been a couple times now and will definitely return.I ordered curry chicken and rice and nan bread and it was delicious. The medium heat was perfect for me.I definitely recommend you try this restaurant.

Melissa smith

Very good food, and the owner treats you like you are walking into his home. I have been here many times, and still am amazed at the level of service provided each time.

family reviews

Delicious food, great environment, excellent service.

Linda Cichocky

What a great place! Not only was the food delicious and perfectly prepared, the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive! Can't wait until next time!

Gurvinder Singh

Best service i had ever???????? staff special come to my vehicle to deliver food, must try butter chicken ????????

Tina Larson

Everything we go to that restaurant we are always very satisfied and the owner and he's stalls are amazing. Love it . ????

Scott Melling

We have been to Sitara twice and both times have been thrilled with the service and food. The staff are incredibly friendly: they check on the tables frequently but not too often, they are kind and courteous and very customer-focused, and they bring delicious/fresh food to the table in a very timely manner. We will continue to come to this restaurant every time we are in the area!! We have been to Indian restaurants in Hamilton, Mississauga, and Toronto but Sitara in Sarnia is our favourite.

Koerfdczse Komtezser

Absolutely amazing. If I could give Sitara 10 stars I would. Got the Lamb Vindaloo and Shrimp Korma, garlic naan, rice, and samosas. We originally forgot to add rice to our order (our own fault) and when we went back to buy some more rice they were very apologetic and didn’t charge us for it. The customer service is above and beyond. The flavour of the food is top notch. This has to be one of the best places to eat in Sarnia. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Mehrnaz Rahimi

First time visit and will not be the last. Absolutely loved the food. Wonderful flavours, fast service and kind attentive staff.

Yaksh Shukla

The food was really worst and the quantity was also very less I would never pay this much money. Their was only cinnamon taste in the sabji and there was lot of dry coriander in the sabji which made it worst. I want to give 0 star but I have no choice that’s why I’m giving 1 star. I will suggest not to waste your money here and please try to improve your food quality and quantity because I have been to many Indian and there quality and quantity is far better then yours

kamaljeet kaur

Excellent food and great service. Definitely a worth a visit if you want good Indian cuisine.

Conner Oakes

Hands down the best Indian food in town. Always delicious whether you dine in or take out and Manjeet is always very welcoming and friendly! Very nice atmosphere inside. Absolutely one of my faves in Sarnia!

Jordi LaForte

This is our second time in this restaurant ????food was really delicious!!! and served hot staff was also so polite and welcoming. Highly recommend ???? ???? ????????????

Ainur Korshiyeva

Food was good and portion size is descent, but ventilation was poor in the restaurant. Out jackets smelt like curry once we left the restaurant.

Patricia S

Amazing food . Very beautiful food presentation . Welcoming staff and owner came to my table asking me the food quality

Larry Weido

Best food anywhere! Delicious , large portions of food- staff and owner are friendly and make sure you are happy. You will never leave hungry! Menu is large and includes vegan gluten free food! Amazing place!!!! Larry

livelife fitness

This is a 5 star for sure. Owner is very personable, nice and the food quality is top notch. Lamb or chicken saag is the best I've ever had anywhere.

Richard Tam

Excellent food and service. Extremely good value. Highly recommend the Paneer Makhni and Saag Chicken. Rivals my favourite restaurant in Kathmandu Nepal Thank you for this experience Mahjid.

S JB

Visited with friends who had not been here before. They loved the Lamb Masala and I loved my lamb saag. Naan is always tasty. Cheeta beer was enjoyed by the guys. Such a delightful evening. Great choices from appetizers to dessert. The chicken samosas were yummy. Service is always fantastic.

Jennifer Martin

Food is cooked with passion and love and the dishes are very flavorful. The chana masala was amazing and the chai tea was a tasty treat to end the meal. Super friendly owners as well!

jon palumbo

Ordered chicken chilly, rice and garlic naa! i was really disapointed with the chicken and the naan was also burnt

Rhonda Lucas

We have eaten there a couple times and the food has been great. We love the lamb korma and the naan bread is unreal. The service is also always very friendly and gracious. We will definitely be going back!

J Fearns

Excellent family experience! The owner is extremely caring, and really wants to make sure you are happy. He (or his wife) will spend that little extra time with you while you are here to ensure you enjoy everything. The food doesn't disappoint. Both the shrimp and lamb curries here were top notch. Also their bread (Naan bread) is to die for. Be careful as you can quickly be filled up on this alone (all though it would still be worth it!)

Julie Lewis

So delicious! Great Indian food for a super great price!

Sarah Langford

First time in Sarnia today and as it was the best restaurant, I thought I'd give Sitara a try. I'm so glad I did. The staff were welcoming and so kind, and the food was great. Everything I ate was delicious, well spiced, and so flavourful and fresh. They gave me hot sauce on the side as I was unsure of the heat of their medium vs. hot. The medium was not spicy at all for me, so I added some sauce. my favourite were the vegetable pakora. these were so tasty, and had a nice kick to them that you don't often get in pakora. The pakora is served with mango chutney - which is phenomenal. Seriously you gotta try the chutney. All in all, my stomach is full and I am certainly feeling content. My only disappointment is I forgot to order the Chai tea. I will be back!!

Great experience! The staff were very friendly and keen to make recommendations that would improve your dining experience. The Lamb is delicious, traditional chai is exceptional, atmosphere is clean and traditional, and the overall service is five star! If you're new or hesitant to try Indian cuisine the staff will guide you to the best decisions and introduce your palette to something you will not regret. If you're in the area, it should be added to your Todo-list.

Sitara is the best Indian Cuisine I have had in Ontario to date. The service is prompt and the staff are friendly. The owner took the time to tell us about each of the dishes as they were brought to the table. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for good eats, great service and a nice atmosphere.

Food has always been wonderful and staff are polite. We try to eat here about once a month and each time has been delicious.

Delicious!! One of the best butter chickens I have tasted across Ontario!:) The owner/chef is super sweet, as well as his son. You can tell they take great pride in their food and their customers, I just wish we lived closer so we could come more often!! My tummy is finally super happy after some sub-par competitors in London the last couple nights.. Maybe down the road we get lucky, and the son opens up his own location closer to the city ;)

Fantastic food. Order ahead because everything is made fresh and might take some time. Worth the price, best Indian food that I have had in a while.
