The service is not very fast, even when there are few people, but it's still acceptable. By cons, their sushi is not the best. They are good, but dry, it looks like the ingredients are not fresh. I do not go to this restaurant for sushi, that's for sure. The prices are very affordable, their table d'hôte is worth a look. (Original) Je vais régulièrement au Makisu. J'ai un coup de coeur pour leurs soupes, mais aussi pour les légumes aux arachides. Les assiettes ne sont pas très grosses par contre. Le service n'est pas très rapide, même lorsqu'il y a peu de personnes, mais c'est tout de même acceptable. Par contre, leurs sushis ne sont pas les meilleurs. Ils sont bons, mais sec, on dirait que les ingrédients ne sont pas frais. Je ne vais pas à ce restaurant pour des sushis, ça c'est certain. Les prix sont très abordables, leur table d'hôte vaut le coup d'oeil.

My partner ordered fried calamari as a starter and I chose a small homemade soup (the one with just broth). He received his starter several minutes later, but no sign of my soup. I had to ask for my soup to finally receive it. Our main dishes (which we ordered at the same time as the appetizers) unfortunately never left the kitchen. When the small group of 4 people who arrived several minutes later received their main dishes, we were no longer really hungry so we asked to have `` doggy bag '' dishes straight away because we were knew we wouldn't eat much and that we would just bring the rest. We waited several more minutes for our meals in the company of our empty Styrofoam dishes. Finally my partner got tired and he asked a waitress who was passing by to simply cancel our order. The group next to us had almost finished eating. So she went to tell our waitress who arrived with a bang with the Interac machine without saying a single word to us. To top it off she gave us a nice big sigh of annoyance as he entered the PIN into the machine! As we had not finished our wine, we stayed a few more minutes and the only person who came to see us was the young man who had prepared our table at the very beginning. Very charming and far more professional. I understand that we can be overwhelmed and that the dishes can come out slower, but this is where the service could have made a big difference on the kind of evening we spent (Original) 2h15 au Makisu pour manger une entrée de calmars et boire NOTRE vin.. On a attendu encore plusieurs minutes nos repas en compagnie de nos plats de styromousse vides. Finalement mon conjoint s'est tanné et il a demandé à une serveuse qui passait de simplement canceller notre commande. Le groupe à côté de nous avait presque fini de manger. Elle est donc allé aviser notre serveuse qui est arrivé en trombe avec la machine Intérac sans nous dire un seul mot. Pour couronner le tout elle nous a fait un beau gros soupir de mécontentement pendant qu'il entrait le NIP dans la machine ! Comme nous n'avions pas terminé notre vin, on est resté encore quelques petites minutes et la seule personne qui est venu nous voir est le jeune homme qui avait préparé notre table au tout début. My husband and I ordered take out on the internet. The order couldn't go through so we called and ordered our meal. Unfortunately, they told us they could not make any sushi. So, we changed our order. We were told to pick up our order at a specific time, which we did. When I walked in, the order was sitting on the counter. We took it home, 5 minutes drive away. We were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, the portions were smaller than when eating at the restaurant. The food was cold and soggy. We called the restaurant to let them know and they simply told us that it was our problem and that it's what happens with take out. We were so disappointed with the rude response we received and lack of customer service. We normally are loyal customers, but promised ourselves to never go back because of this horrible experience.

My go-to place for Asian food, any occasion, either delivery or eating out. They have a big selection of sushi as well! Their service is great. J'ai bien aimé. La soupe j'ai demandé won ton. Un bouillon correct. Les nouilles fait maison très délicieuses. Ma conjointe a pris un général tao. Il est différent des autres restos. Mais très bon. Le serveur devrait avertir que le général tao n'est pas traditionnek. En somme un bon repas. Nous y retournerons goûter d'autres plats.
