Our second time eating at this restaurant. Food was good the first time so we decided to go again. The food was good the service also but after the meal I got severely sick. I mentioned that I had a seafood allergy but I think my meal (dish) was cross contaminated. I was so sick !!! I called the restaurant they said they were very careful and maybe I had another allergy. Not so! That was not what I expected from this restaurant. I will never go back again as I suffered a great deal last night.

Not a cheap exercise but well worth it. Staff are welcoming and explain the different options very well. Wine list is vast and, once again, staff explain the different choices to suit what you are planning to order. We had the Fisherman's Platter for two and it was the best we have ever had. We come from a country that prides itself on its seafood but what was served to us at La Fenouilliere surpasses what we've experienced in the past. What we really loved was the ability to have a conversation without having to shout. Highly recommend.

On offre une omelette avec legumes ou une autre avec jambon fromage. Pas de combiné...On a donc séparé une de chaque.. Le fromage ne goûte rien donc celle aux légumes est meilleure.

So I stumbled in here off the street. This place is attached to the best Western and I need a place to eat. Yes, it was expensive, but wow was is good So I was traveling from Halifax, and I find better fish in Quebec? What's the deal. Needless to say, the culinary techniques here are more refined and it shows. I ordered the tuna steak which was grilled perfectly. The sides were a mix of our pureed and whole vegetables. The balance of fresh grilled fish, pureed root vegetables topped with fresh vegetables was a perfect blend of fresh, rich and wholesome. I have never felt quite so fulfilled by a seafood dish. To top it off, the staff were excellent. They worked with my English and broken French and ensured I was cared for. If you are willing to send a bit more, this place is worth it. Excellent job.

We have just returned from a three week tour of New England and the cities of Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec - our very best meal throughout the whole holiday was at La Fenouilliere - we had two meals there and they were both excellent and very good value. We found the service to be attentive, professional and very appropriate - the food was very well presented and tasted delicious. Excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. My partner and I were very pleased with the service. We ordered the 4-course meal. The appetizers were very pungent, flavourful, and French. It was very interesting to say the least. We also got the turnip soup and cauliflower with bacon soup — excellent soups. The turnip soup was probably my fav dish. The entrees were decent and tasted standard, not my favourite though. However, the portions were large! We were so full by this point, but we still had desserts. Desserts were good and flavourful as well, nothing mind blowing but large portion too. For the price, it was a decent dinner, service was definitely the cherry on top.

Our favorite meal of the trip to Quebec City was here.. One of us had the fresh fish and one, the tenderloin which practically melted in the mouth. Service was prompt. Waiter we had was chatty and a bit loud for me, but my dinner partner didn't find it an issue so difference in preferences. We would go again. Was there on Father's day and it was quite busy with people OUTSIDE of the hotel. They found me a quiet little table. The food was FANTASTIC!! Highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant.
