Wife and I just had dinner here, food was served wrong and the waitress just didn't seem to care. My wife asked for no tomato and no onion in her pasta. When we pointed it out the waitress just said Oh ok. All I could think of good thing she's not allergic to them. No sorry no let me fix that for you. Her bread was rock hard. We've gone here for 10 years since we started dating. We will not be back. Last time we will go. So many other better local restaurants.

This place was bad. Both locks on the stalls in the men's bathroom were completely and very obviously broken. My wife and I both ordered the fish and chips and what she got resembled fish but would I got resembled a loafer. My fish was completely overcooked and it was a very dark brown and our french fries were covered in either grease or oil and almost unedible. I did ask for my fish to be remade for me and it was much better the second time. The restaurant was quiet without many other patrons but our server was very friendly.

The restaurant has literally never been renovated...have been going for over 10 years, same.old wooden booths that kill your back after 10 minutes...TV's are still from the mid 90's. Menu isn't all that inspiring, typical Roadhouse style Food is okay nothing to rave about in any way, also seems like there's no music playing so you can literally hear everyone's conversation

Wait staff was nice but good was very very over cooked. Dont know how a cook can send out liver that was burnt. Sliders that had next to nothing on and fish that was dripping with grease. Dont recommend going there at all. The waitress did not charge for half of bill but then again it was sent back and nothing else ordered. It should have been the whole bill cancelled with food like this. Won't be back.

Great food but it's a shame it's so outdated! This could be a great place to hang out. Would be an alternative to another unnamed bar and grill in town. Build it and we will come. Serve some craft beer and I'm there! There are lots of young families moving here and want somewhere to eat other than the myriad of fast food junk in St Thomas

This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever dealt with in my life at a resturant. I ordered the 8 oz steak which had absolutely no flavour what so ever and my boyfriend ordered the burger which was also extremely disgusting. We left hungry and they also made us pay for everything we didn’t even eat other then a taste bite. I’m overly unimpressed and will NEVER return or telling anyone to go here either. If I could give less then 1 star I would.

Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We had the mesquite potato skins which were served with loads of cheese and steaming hot ! I had the beef nachos as my main . Also loaded up with lots of cheese and toppings .....and layered throughout. Delicious! My boyfriend had the Euro burger which he said was very good as well . We will be back !

Used to be awesome - but since the new menu came out, it's awful. Not that many choices and it's more money. The burger special is no special at all...they say the burger is only like $5 but it comes with absolutely nothing on it! BRING BACK THE OLD MENU!!! (maybe they couldn't find cooks that knew how to cook all those different foods??) Waitresses are very nice and quick. You don't have to wait long at all for your food and the patio is also nice.

We were there on the 24th of Jan.for my great granddaughters 5th birthday.There was 7 of us. Everything we ordered was overdone. Fish and chips, pogos, fish tacos chicken fingers, hamburger platter. We also ordered app platter of potato skins, fried pickles, and chicken wings. Everything was over done. I won't be back. The 1 star I put on here was for the ice-cream. The kids really enjoyed that.

Been a while since I was there. Was seated with menus & told someone would be right there. Seated in the front corner of the restaurant. No drink orders taken or apologies given. After 15 minutes of waiting we left. No one even acknowledged or stopped us when we left. It may be a couple more years before I return. So much for the statement on the web-site of not being busy. They weren't busy, but they ignored us as well. Not good for business.

Was disappointed to say the least... Our orders were mixed up with another table and when the food did come it was not great. The fish and chips were very greasy and the breading on the fish was so thick and dense. Definitely won't be returning! The staff was nice though.

This restaurant has some really good dinner entrees. It's menu items taste like Mom's in the kitchen. The caesar salad was freshly made with real bacon and my burger/fries were so good. It has a very cozy atmosphere with a fireplace at the centre of the dinning area.

I hadn't been here for a long time, and so I decided to try it out and see what had changed. It's a pretty quiet place with a sort of small diner feel. It was cheap and plentiful food, and good service. There are kids menus and deals and all that sort of small restaurant stuff. I do want to say, though I wasn't seated in a booth, they sure looked awful and uncomfortable. I often wish reviews could show "stars out of an expectation level", since I don't want to take stars away from Braxton's for being what they are, but neither are they a fine dining establishment. As long as your expectations are for a casual tap and grill, you aren't likely to be disappointed at Braxton's.

This restaurant really needs an interior update. My husband and I felt like we sat in a 1970s bar. So much black painted wood, it felt oppressive. Old TVs hung uselessly, a newer one had filthy swipes across its screen. The space did not present a comfortable atmosphere. We waited a while for our food, and kitchen messed up my order, serving me a rare steak rather than medium well. The server made good and took it off the bill. We froze, and upon leaving, discovered the board paneling gap let the winter chill in. A fireplace sat in the middle, but burned no fuel or wood. The prices are not especially high, but the food portions weren't satisfying, nor were they especially tasty. I left hungry.

I must say, I have never been disappointed with food from Braxton's. We are blessed with many restaurants in St. Thomas, and Braxton's is definitely one of the top on my list. The décor offers a cozy atmosphere. In the winter time, my wife and I love to sit by the fireplace, during our meal. I better mention, that Braxton's was even where I officially proposed to my wife, many years ago!

Usually good to eat here, the place needs an upgrade for sure, walk in the back door and all I can smell is mold. Clean it up, give it some fresh paint and lighten it up in the building, the black paint is brutal.

I recently attempted to order take out and was quite disappointed. I have 3 kids and was not allowed to order kids meals for take out. I was also disappointed with my meal. I have eaten at braxton's many times and this meal was not in have come to expect from braxtons as it was barely edible. I will definitely be choosing a different restaurant next time for my family.

We were with a large multi-table group on their usual slowest day, Superbowl Sunday. The food was really good, I really enjoyed my chicken Caesar wrap but especially the fresh large bowl of soup. The new owner stopped to talk to us, and we got to sample some of their smoked meats (from their own smoker): wings, hot sausage, chicken, and the brisket--wow! So good!

Myself and two friends came here for dinner after a long absence (we heard there were new owners) and WOW this place is so much better!!! I had a special which was shaved beef piled (and I mean piled) on garlic ciabatta with a peppercorn sauce and fried onions on top (believe there were mushrooms too and an aioli on top). The fries were amazing too! My friends had the club sandwich made with local Oegema Farm turkey. Our server Leslie was fabulous!!!! We were able to chat and have a relaxing meal and not feel rushed. We will definitely be back for our next get together and telling all our friends and family about this place. Well done in making better again!! Great cooks and chef as well! Food was terrific!

Braxtons Tap & Grill is our go to place to grab a quick lunch, a nice dinner for two or when we want a great place to go with the whole family. The atmosphere at Braxtons is second to none, the food is always fabulous, the service is amazing, prices are great and the quality is simply amazing. You can tell there is a lot of heart and soul put into everything they do at Braxtons, from the food to the impeccable service! I can’t speak to one individual meal we’ve had that stood out because quite honestly everything we have tried is exceptional, everything comes out fresh, homemade and hot! The menu at Braxtons is full of so many great options you won’t have the same thing twice.....OH the butter tart sundae is a must have if you have room (portions are above average, great value for the money for sure!) Our kids especially love the food at Braxtons, the kids menu is great and the Caesar’s and App’s are to die for if you are looking for a place to relax with a few great drinks and some yummy nibbles. I can’t say enough about how phenomenal Braxtons is, going there is just a great experience every time, you feel so at home and truly feel like your business is appreciated by the quality of food your served, the atmosphere and the amazing staff!

We had never been to St.Thomas and after checking some online reviews, decided to check out Braxtons. Well it was a great choice! For us, it was too hot to sit on the patio so we opted for indoors. The place was pretty empty but it's pandemic times so its hard to say if that's normal. We were greeted promptly and seated in a booth. The decor is a little dark, and not fancy, but the place is very clean. Now lets talk about the burgers! I had the Belfast burger and my husband had the brisket burger. We cant say enough about how delicious these burgers were. This is a place that takes pride in their food. Everything is fresh. They smoke their brisket in house. Their turkey burger is gound in house from a local turkey farm. The fries are fresh cut. I cant wait to go back and try some other things on the menu. But it will be hard to resisit that burger!

Stayed in the lovely town of St Thomas for the weekend of Aug 14,2020; we had planned on spending the daytime at the beach in Port Stanley. For dinner Friday night we decided to stay in St Thomas, and much to our surprise found a diamond of a place... Braxton’s Restaurant. Now, from the front not a lot of “curb appeal”; however, don’t judge a book by the cover. We were all blown away....the food was Amazing‼️ We had fish and chips -FYI 1 piece is enough. We had fish tacos, chicken fingers and fries, and grilled veggie wrap and sweet potato fries....now, you all maybe thinking, so not fancy food, right? Let me tell you this....so unbelievably well cooked, fresh, tasty, lots of it, and lovely waitress....wish I got her name. It was so good that Saturday night two friends arrived and we went back for dinner...for sure on my list again. Thanks for the fantastic food everyone‼️ Lisa and Peter from Guelph Ontario ????

This place has the worst service and attitude I've ever dealt with in my life. My friend and I went here with our 5 children and we were asked to leave due to my toddler being too loud... pretty upsetting to us as single mothers trying to take our kids to dinner.

The service is terrible. We've been here for 35 minutes and we're still waiting for our food because our waitress had to take an important phone call. I asked our waitress if she would bring an appetizer or nachos to help with the wait and she came back to tell us that the owner said we could wait like everyone else. If I didn't have my 90 year old mother with me we would have left and gone somewhere else. These people don't give a *#!$ about customer service.

Chose to support local instead of McDonald's. Braxtons did not disappoint! Food was amazing fresh and hot, beautiful hot chocolate sprinkled with candy cane, cozy atmosphere and the server was very attentive. Foods: coconut shrimp curry power bowl, chicken tenders and fries, salmon with balsamic glaze, and a panzerroti. Spinach and artichoke, was among the best I've ever had.

Excellent food and service! Braxton's has really stepped up their game with the new owners. The new menu is delicious, especially the Belfast burger! If you haven't tried it yet, you are really missing out. The deep fried pickles are also fantastic. It's a nice place to go out on a date, or to take the kiddo's. Overall, we have really come to love Braxton's all over again and definitely recommend giving it a try.

Braxtons now has a new menu. I have tried a few things from the menu and wow are they delicious. The roast beef dinner was excellent, the chicken parmigiana was probably one of the best I recall having, the garlic bread with cheese is to die for. It is baked in its own pan and if you like cheese there is so much on it you can't see the bread. Also tried the Quesadilla which was really good. Wait staff I have had couldn't have been better. I wasn't too fond of Braxtons years back but things have changed greatly for the better. I look forward to trying other menu items in the future

We were there for lunch today I had their chicken alfredo chibbatta...it was amazing. Came with a large side of fresh cut fries...topped off with a chilled glass of chardonnay. My husband had todays special which was a large piece of breaded deep fried haddock again with a large side of fresh cut fries, coleslaw , tarter sauce and lemon..topped off with a frosty glass of beer. Food was hot, served in a timely fashion. Service was efficient, friendly and extremely personable. Would highly recommend this restaurant if all of their service and food is consistently served at this level

Ordered a club wrap, a turkey club sandwich with a slice of cheddar, a chicken cashew stir-fry and a couple bowls of soup. The club wraps are always delicious and their soup is excellent and home made. There was no cheese on my sandwich and no cashews in my stir-fry. I could not call back to tell them what I was missing because they were closed. I told them about it next time I was going to order, but I was told they couldn't do anything for me cause I didn't address it the day I ordered. Unfortunately I will never order from here again.

Only reason I'm giving one star is because the waitress was nice but I could tell she was annoyed. I got spinach and artichoke dip and the chips looked like they were deep fried and very overcooked, they also gave nacho chips for this dip which doesn't taste good. For my main meal I got the coconut shrimp with curry rice power bowl. The coconut shrimp was overcooked and when I asked for new ones to be made it looked the exact same. The only good thing was my rice with curry on it. I paid $38 to be very disappointed. I used to love this place but I will never go back.

Serious inconsistencies in recipes. If you order the jambalaya pasta 5 seperate times you will get 5 completely different pastas and only one of them is good, yet you pay the same price. Wish they'd put on their sign "the good cook is in tonight" so I'd know when to go and when not to. Not wasting my money again.

Ordered a medium rake steak, it was well done. They brought it back, and the waitress mentioned that the chef had attitude, but I got another steak, again way over done. But they let me keep both steaks. Dog was happy.

I posted about a month ago about the dirty windows and floor. I am glad to post again only this time to congratulate Braxton's on actually listening to its costumers. The windows and floor are clean and they have added a few decorating touches to spruce things up. There food is still excellent as is the service. Way to go and keep up the good work LH

Terrible service. Ordered burger and a steak dinner. Zero condiments. Only thing on the table was catsup and it was empty. Asked server for mustard. Steak sauce etc. Said ask the waitress and almost run away. A very low grade dinner

Tuesday nights are Steak Night! Great deal for a good steak. My wife enjoyed the Greek Burger. And they have local beer on tap! Becareful with the upgraded sides $$

My husband and I ordered fish and it was severely overcooked. We had to get up and go get the server to take it away. The fish that replaced the old stuff was the right colour. But we didn't get fresh fries so our fries were mushy and covered in overcooked batter. The tartar sauce was just mayo and relish and had no real flavour. My husband got a lemon but I didn't. I ordered one drink during appetizers and was never asked if I wanted more. We got our appetizers but we were missing sourcream and salsa, we had to go fetch the server to get that too. It wasn't busy at all, like 1 or 2 other tables had people at them. The server was nice enough but we felt like an after thought the entire time. We couldn't eat our fries because of how greasy and ruined they were. We left still hungry.

thinking of trying a new place to eat and maybe braxtons is the right place? Save your money and time and just choose legends!!! Steak was bland, gravy was horrendous and the beans were like leather and the burger tastes reheated and old. Owner made my pregnant wife and I pay 50$ to leave hungry. But the spinach dip was good so if you want to snack somewhere this is your place. Never going back. Should have went to legends like we are right now. They never disappoint so if you want real service and real food, come here. Ps. The delicious food photo is at legends

One of our favorite spots in St Thomas, and by far the best available delivery with many excellent choices that will arrive fine at your home. I recommend the salads, bowls, stir fry, chicken parm, lasagna, and most of the burgers. Fries will only be good if you order on site, though. We are still trying our way through the menu. Excellent large patio if you choose to dine al fresco.

Food was good but I cant help but to be sour from the lack of transparency. Ordred a sandwich which comes with fries salad or soup... i ask the server what soup.do you guys have today... just French onion.. ok ill have that.. get a bill for a 4 dollar soup substitute.. bring it up with the guy and he says "yeah french onion is all we had"... maybe mention its at an additional cost. Won't be back.
