Great food and the service was fast and great! The place itself is very clean with an open kitchen concept so you can partially see how they make your dumplings. I had the steam lamb and coriander while my girlfriend had the fried pork and green onion both delicious and juicy! each plate comes with 14 dumplings at affordable prices (all under 15$) Would definitely recommend to anyone craving dumplings.

Very bad experience. My bf and i went there around lunch. There was 3 other tables already seated. We waited for 45 minutes for someone just to take our order. And people who came in 20 minutes after us, got their order taken and got their food. When there was more tables, the waitress went to every single table except our, went right down the row making sure everyone was happy and completely avoided eye contact with us and walked by. What a horrible way to treat people. We dont even know why they were like that. So we just left.

The place was nice and clean & the staff was very kind and welcoming We came here for the first time and we ordered the fried pork & leek along with the steamed land & coriander and it tasted great The portions are good & the dumplings are very affordable considering the amount they give Definitely worth stopping by!

Dumplings need to be freshly made. So, you have to wait a bit after order, especially the steam one. The deco is alright. You feel comfortable and clean. The dumplings are recommended. It made upon your order. But I saw they prepared the soup in microwave which is totally unacceptable for me. There is one waitress. She is friendly but don't except too much. Price is alright.

Food is good...service should be 100x better. Owners/staff refuse to serve in English. Ask in English...only reply in French. I asked "votre salle à manger est-elle ouverte ou vous n'êtes ouvert pour take out ?." The person on the phone corrected me and said "seulement POUR EMPORTER". Owners, I do not want to make this a political thing but unfortunately, you should serve the customer in his/her language. Notice, they reply to English posts in French only. Nationalism has no place in the food business.

Very dissapointed, the dumplings were either watery or dry. The supposed peanut butter dumplings were awful, they just had a glob of peanut butter on them with no seasonings. Everything was really salty. We ordered the porc kimchi dumplings which were edible, and the shrimp dumplings that had a strange wet and dry texture. The restaurant itself it very nice, and the service is quick and friendly but the food was terrible. I will not be going back. Frozen dumplings bought at the asian market are 100X better. Don't waste your money. Observed some questionable food safety practices.

Really great first impression. Have been looking for a good soup dumpling joint on the south shore and this is it. Only negative point was the music played in the restaurant real wasn't to my taste but once the little soupy clouds of goodness entered my mouth all other distractions disappeared. We will be back!

We ordered dumplings for lunch from this place. We tried the beef and green onion fried dumplings which were absolutely delicious and also had the pork and shrimp boiled dumplings. I have to say the fried ones are way better than boiled, and we'll know for next time, but both were very good and very generous portions. We also ordered the seaweed salad which didn't disappoint. The sauces that it came with were also good. The price is more than reasonable and it arrived hot and very tasty.

I had the cabbage and pork steamed dumplings and they were very good. My husband had the beef and curry pan fried dumplings and I found the curry a bit overwhelming (and I love curry). The best ones I had so far were the lamb dumplings. Overall everything was good but paid slightly more than I thought was fair for dumplings.

Delicious !! ???? Very friendly and attentive staff, great variety of dumplings, reasonably priced, clean, family friendly, and we are super happy not to have to go all the way to Chinatown anymore!! Our friends and families have all very much enjoyed this place and the food, wether we’ve eaten there or done take out. it was our first time ordering from Mama Dumpling and the dumplings were awesome! Usually head all the way to centre ville to get some of the more well known ones that have been around for a while but I have to say I was pleasantly impressed. Ordered and picked up and the price was much better than the delivery service apps. Must try if you love dumplings!

Let me start off by saying that I enjoy Mama Dumpling and my girlfriend absolutely LOVES Mama Dumpling's fried dumplings to the point she orders them over Pizza, Poutine, Wings, Chicken and anything else available. Unfortunately because of how the dumplings (steamed and fried) are inconsistent from one batch to the next, I felt it necessary to finally post a review. The pictures below are three batches of fried dumplings from a single order. It's clear which ones have been fried to a light golden crisp and which ones were left in too long. Now if you're reading this wondering "what's the issue?" or "how bad can it really be?", the answer is that the dumplings when steamed or fried too long begin to burst and fall apart, lose their juices and have a singed flavour that ruins ultimately ruins them. This happens with just about every order we've received going back 4-5 months when we began ordering from Mama Dumpling. Now some of you may or may not feel the same way I do but I just feel like the restaurants in our region have gone downhill rapidly in recent years and I don't know if it's a neighborhood thing, a Quebecois thing or if restaurant workers just don't care enough but this is seems to be plaguing both small and large restaurants everywhere and why I'm taking the time write this is that I hope the same thing doesn't happen to Mama Dumpling. A pattern of laziness and lack of care in preparation has always been an issue for some restaurants but now whether it's McDonalds, Belle Province, Benny BBQ0, St-Hubert BBQ, Pizza Pizza, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, KFC, etc.. the food is never consistently well prepared, hot, fresh and delicious like it's supposed to be. Every day it gets harder to justify ordering takeout due to soaring prices how inconsistent every meal ends up being. Normally, I have no problems offering constructive feedback to the restaurant through Door Dash, Uber Eats, Skip or even calling the location but as it turns out restaurant workers & the owners refuse to believe they serve anything but the very best food (big shocker!) and when the quality of their food is called into question, they quickly turn into complete lunatics (shout out to Jacques Cartier Pizza on Mtee. St-Hubert!) hellbent on defending themselves while hurling insults at the customer, so I've just decided to avoid calling out restaurants for their mistakes because at this rate my girlfriend and I will end up not being able to order from anywhere because the lack of care that goes into preparing the food is so inconsistent. To sum it up, Mama Dumpling is tasty, very tasty in fact. The curry flavours are great, the dumplings (steamed and fried) are fantastic when done with care and despite regularly having issues with the fried dumplings being too fried, the ingredients are fresh and delicious. My girlfriend never stops craving Mama Dumpling and she just loves it. My only issue is the inconsistency. Be more consistent, be more careful, keep an eye on your employees' technique and don't let poorly prepared food go out the door!

This review pertains solely to the chicken curry fried dumplings. Friendly advice: don't order fried dumplings. Naturally, they're not fried all around however, these dumplings are only cooked on one side. That is to say that the dough on the other side was completely raw. I had ordered this through Uber eats so I called to complain of this and was told that that was completely normal. I opened the next dumpling to eat the filling just to be met with a solid mass of shiny something which was exceedingly hard to break apart with chopsticks, which begs the question: when were they actually made? This is the first time I've ever been told that it was normal for dough to be raw. The only thing which had a palatable taste in all of this was the sauce they sent with the dumplings. Unfortunately I can't fill my stomach with sauce.

Awesome dumplings! Chicken coriander is fantastic, the leek & cabbage lack a bit of flavour but are good with the sauce. Wakame is good as well. Prices are okay but at the limit of fair and should not be increased. Staff are friendly.
